Queen Chrysalis was in her room back in the hive. She didn’t know why they had to be so mean. All she wanted was to marry the one she loved. She knew that the changelings were hideous. No one could love a changeling undisguised. She flashed back to the moment where she had first met him.
She was posing as a maid in the Canterlot castle so she could find out Equestria’s weaknesses, she had to feed her subjects after all. In the afternoon she bumped into the captain of the royal guard. She had spilled the Princesses tea.
“I’m so sorry” he said.
“No, no, it was all my fault sir.” Chrysalis replied.
“Sir?” he asked.
“Well, of course. Why wouldn’t I show respect to those above me?” Chrysalis wondered.
“Well, not very many ponies call me sir outside the royal guard. Please call me Shining Armor, I insist.” He told her.
“Well, okay.” Chrysalis hesitated. “Let me help you” Shining Armor said after he realized that the tea was still on the floor.
“Well, thank you.” Chrysalis replied. She was surprised to find such a nice pony. Most of the ponies she had met were really mean. She was surprised, but yet interested. Could he help her? She decided to ask a few questions, in the names of the princesses of course, to see what info she could lay her hooves on. “Uh, Shining Armor?”
“Yes?”
“Can you answer a few questions? I need to inform the princesses about some info they seek.” Chrysalis asked
“Okay. How can I help?” Shining answered,
“Are there any big events coming up?” Chrysalis wondered
“Ah, my wedding is soon.” Shining replied enthusiastically.
“Oh,” Chrysalis began “Well , that IS a Big event. May I ask who is the lucky mare?
Shining Armor blushed and said “Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, the princess of love.”
“Got it,” Chrysalis said, making a mental note to find out more of this Princess Mi Amore Cadenza. “Well, I better get this Tea to their royal majesties.”
“Well see you later.” Shining said
Sooner than you think, Chrysalis thought.
Later that day, after she had delivered the Princesses tea, and had finished work for the day, she decided to follow Shining Armor. Chrysalis thought that it would be easiest to find out more about this Princess of love if she followed him. I mean, what groom does not spend time with his bride to be? She had hypnotized one of the royal guard to find out where Shining Armor would be. She had found out, and now camouflaged as a fly, she now was watching him and Mi Amore. She nearly gasped! Mi Amore was gorgeous, and seeing Shining Armor with her just, just. Frustrating. She had to do something.
Yes, she had indeed did done something. but, before she had trapped Princess Mi Amore Cadenza in the caverns below Canterlot, she had done some minor things. Like send her on errands so she could make time with Shining Armor
Hello dear. The disguised Chrysalis said.
Cadence! Ah so wonderful to see you. Shining exclaimed.
So, What’s going on tonight? Chrysalis asked slyly.
Shining blushed and said “Well, we could just talk.”
“Ah, good start. Lets begin with how your day was.” Chrysalis cooed.
“I-I...” Shining was really blushing this time, and apparently at a loss for words. He didn't know why things all of a sudden got really hot.
“Oh dear! I’ve can’t recall the last time I saw you like this. Maybe you just need some reassurance." She smiled wickedly and started tickling him a bit. Shining was laughing as she rubbed up and down his sides.
"Ca-candy! Th-that tickles!" Shining giggled.
Chrysalis was now chuckling and maybe a hint of blushing here and there. Then, while she was distracted, he took a hold of her and started tickling back. Now she was laughing. After about another couple minutes he stopped and they caught there breath together. All during the While, Chrysalis was really enjoying herself. And looked sweetly at Shining Armor.
He looked back and replied "You are a lot of fun, You know that? And that is just one of the many reasons I love you"
And with thinking nothing of it, he gave what he thought was his bride to be, a quick peck on the lips. At this point, Chrysalis really was blushing. As she struggled to make a reasonable excuse to get away, because the real Cadance should be heading back soon.
"Dear, while I have loved our time together, I need to do something, and will see you in while." She said. And Shining just nodded with a smile on his face.
Later, back at the hive, Chrysalis was a mess.
"Okay, okay! Let me think this through again! I am totally confused about how I actually feel with this stallion. I-I.. I mean, what am going to do? Okay, Chrysalis" She said to her self in a panic "Calm down. Take a few deep breaths, and think everything through. Take notes if you have to."
"Okay, with that said and done, lets get calculating. 1st of all, I am totally confused on my feelings for my only potential way into invading Equestria. He is treating me so nicely when I am his bride, and even when I'm disguised as a servant or just a random pony. I mean, I was, well, in the action of today, I forgot to act like his bride, and I was just myself. Am I really that comfortable and relaxed with him? Okay, back on track. I was myself, and he still liked me. I probably was way different from the way She acts. But maybe, he..., he thought I was just stressed and was a little off." She told herself.
"Yeah, that's probably what happened. And all the other times is just probably because he is just an all-around nice guy. So that explains everything that goes on there. Now to figure out my course of action. If he loves me without his bride, He can love me just as much as myself. But, I need to feed my subjects. If we don't take over, we'll starve! As their queen, I can't just put that aside to fulfill my own selfish desires.
"How can I, I mean, is there any possible way I can do both. Maybe even improve our overall stance?" Chrysalis asked herself.
Then the idea struck her like lighting! The wedding! If she was posed as his bride.... She could MARRY him! And while she did, her changelings could feed! And later, she could reveal herself to him, proving he could love her as much as this Mi Amore Cadenza, if not more. But, she did need some precautions. She had to uphold her villain image so that he couldn't be used as a weakness. And if something happened, that she wouldn't be exposed. She needed to hold up that image of a tough, dignified, and strong leader of her people. Not some prancing, giggly, love struck grub. And so her mind was set, as was her plan.

just my version on the different possibilities. hope you enjoy. and please don't hate. I am just trying to write a decent fan fiction. I bet your not all perfect either. Anyway, i guess you can tell me your problems, like tell me what i need to improve or change. But remember here. don't present a problem with out any ideas and/or solutions.
The story behind the story
After they had been defeated, Chrysalis was in her private room crying. Things would never work out. She would never be able to feed her subjects, They would struggle for who knows how long, And she... she would never get to marry Shining Armor. IF anything came out of this though, was that she had fooled them all in the end. She had fooled them into thinking they were gone forever. And she had fooled every pony, even her SUBJECTS that she had ever felt for Shining Armor. And anything could count on one thing, That she would be back!
A few Yrs Later...
Her subjects had all turned against her. She was devastated. If possible, she felt as bad as when she lost...him. She didn't dare use his name. She didn't know why she didn't. Maybe it was because it just didn't feel right, or she didn't have the heart. Not even she was sure how it worked. Go figure. But anyway. She had to find another plan all by herself, for it seemed she was going to be solo for the rest of her life until she did.
Or so it seems
A few Yrs Later....
She had somehow been roped in a conquer Equestria with the other non-reformed villains of Equestria. At this point in time, she had almost lost her mind. I mean, she was pouring her heart and soul out to a LOG! For Pete's sake.

Anyway, she didn't even tell it about him. She had always managed to keep that secret despite any other slip up or weakness exposed.
Present day and maybe slight future. Authors input
Even now as she plans with the other to betray Grogar, Take revenge and rule Equestria. We'll never know for sure if she still keeps him in her thoughts, or if she has other plans. She could have entirely forgotten him, or well, ignored, ever since Starlight interrupted her life.
Who knows? She might actually be sore at Starlight Glimmer, not only because of her hive, but because she ruined her 2nd chance to get Shining Armor. Heck, maybe this present day plan is going to include him Somewhere. Anyway, until we know for sure. Maybe Fanon will become Canon, or it will just remain, a hidden aspect.
So, until everything falls into place, and it has come to pass, we leave you now with a new perspective about the story on the story behind the story.
