Author's Note

What!? Comeonideodic wrote a story after being away for what seems like AGES!?

Yes, its true. I have written another story, hense why you're reading this right now. I had to take a while off because i was moving and getting situated and all that fun stuff. I really had no time to write so i had to just put it off for good. At least till now. I'm still busy and will be for a while still, but i had enough free time the past week to write some TwiDash!

I went for a sort of weird, horror style story for the simple reason of 'it sounded fun' and it has been! I thoroughly enjoyed writing this and i hope you enjoy reading it all the same.

As always. Feel free to tell me ways I can improve or things that are spelled incorrectly, all that jazz. (Not saying there will be, but I havent written a story in a while so im a bity rusty!):heart::rainbowkiss:

Also, I put an Eminem reference in the story somewhere, see if you can find it! :twilightsheepish:

The Reality of my Reality

"Do you fear death?"

"Wh.. What do you mean?" A second voice spoke from beyond the darkness.

"Do you think you disserve it?"

"I.. I don't know." Spoke the voice from within darkness once again.

"Then she will decide for you."

"So, Miss Sparkle. How are we feeling today?" Asked the doctor while getting ready to magically jot down notes on her notepad. "Twilight? Are you alright?"

Jolting out of her thoughts at the sound of her name, Twilight quickly cleared her throat and got comfortable in her seat. "S-sorry, doctor."

"Please, call me Eris." Eris smiled while moving the candy bowl onto the table in front of them, beckoning Twilight to take some with her foreleg. "You never answered my question, Twilight. How are you feeling?"

"I-I'm okay." Twilight quietly spoke while looking down at her forelegs, avoiding the eye contact as much as possible. Her ears perking as her doctors pen stroked the paper before her.

"Okay is good. What about your friends? Have you been talking to them?" Eris asked calmly, but curiously.

Twilight looked up from staring at her forelegs and sniffled, her eyes watering over with no way of stopping it. She just couldn't help it.

Handing her patient the Kleenex box, Eris began to jot more notes down on her notepad. She wanted nothing more than to physically comfort Twilight, to touch her and feel her, but it wasn't the time for that. "I can try to understand your pain on my own, Miss Sparkle, or you can help me — guide me in the right direction." Eris spoke while fixing her glasses with her magic. "Did you see your friends at any point in time this week?"

Twilight shook her head in defeat while putting her focus back on her forelegs. If she was to be honest, she hadn't left the house all week until today. Spike would always go out and do her errands for her while she cried, puked and slept in seclusion. It was sad and she knew it.

"May I ask why?" Eris asked calmly, her attention fixated on Twilight.

Doing her best to sniffle away the tears, Twilight slowly looked up and wiped her eyes with one of her forelegs. "W-why?" Twilight asked with a tinge of anger in her voice. "You.. You want to know why? Oh, I-I don't know.. Maybe because I'm scared? M-maybe because I'm afraid of having that conversation with them? Not to mention I'm a complete mess!" Twilight stood up from her sitting position. The glare in her eyes could speak for itself, but she didn't want it to. "What would you even have me say!? H-hey girls! I'm so sorry Rainbows DEAD?" Twilight yelled with a stomp of her hoof, the candies that once sat in there bowl now lay scattered before them. "Do.. Do you know how it feels to lose some pony you care about, Doctor?" Twilight spoke, not through her mouth, but through her crack filled heart.

"I'm afraid I do, Twilight." Eris answered Twilights question with while trying her best to keep her grin at bay.

Twilight slowly stumbled back onto her flank and stared at the candy riddled floor. "I wake up.. Every. Morning. sick." Twilight peered up through her water filled eyes into her doctors grey shaded eyes. "I used to go out on my balcony after my study sessions to read and see her practicing her tricks in the field. Rainbow.. S-she told me she practiced there on purpose, so that I had a show while I read my 'egghead' away." Twilight chuckled softly through her tears as she remembered Rainbows raspy voice.

"Do you think any pony disserves it?" Eris spoke.

"W-what?" Twilight tried her best to process what she just heard.

Standing up, Eris turned around and peered out her window. "Do you think any pony disserves it?" Eris attentively asked again.

"I.. I'm not sure I understand what your asking." Twilight stood up as her brain worked in overdrive. What was with the sudden shift of question? She just spilled her guts out and her reward was a riddle that had to do with the exact topic in question?

"Death, Twilight. Did she disserve to die so soon in her life?" Eris asked while turning to face her patient once more. "Before she got to live.. To love?"

"Why are you asking me all this? Twilight questioned. She felt as if tears should be streaming down her face, but none could be produced.

Soon a thick fog of silence slowly made its way through the room. Twilight could hear her own breath, if any quieter she would be able to hear her own heart beat. Twilight watched as Eris closed and set down her notepad on the table before her. A golden apple engraved onto the front of it.

"I'm sorry, but it appears we're out of time. Twilight, you must know that dreams do not become reality through magic alone." Eris lit her horn as the walls around them began to disappear, leaving nothing the floor and darkness. "For in dreams.. We enter a world that is entirely our own — where anything is possible." With a light of her horn Eris grinned as she broke the floor in two below Twilight's hooves, sending her barreling into the darkness. "If I may suggest, do dwell on what you see and hear. If so, it will all be over soon." Eris spoke through the darkness with a laugh.

"GAAAAAAH!" Twilight screamed, bolting up from her bed. Her breathing rapid and shaky. Throwing her foreleg up to her head she winced in pain as the headache she didn't know she had pulsed through her brain.

"Twilight!" Came a voice from her now open bedroom door. "Are you okay? Do you need me to send the emergency letter to Celestia!" Spike yelled while landing on Twilights bed.

"N-no.. I-I don't need you to do that, spike. I'm fine, just a bad dream." Twilight responded while pressing her hoof to her head again.

"If you say so." Spike said before hopping down off of Twilights bed. "If you need anything, you know where to find me." Spike told Twilight while closing her door to her bedroom.

With a groan, Twilight slid off her bed and onto all fours. A cold shower was well in order after that dream and Twilight didn't hear any complaints. Making her way into her bathroom, Twilight twisted the shower handle with her magic. Stepping in, she flinched as the cold water hit her body.

"Twi? Are you in here?" Came a familiar voice from within her bedroom.

"I'm in here, Dash." Twilight responded. She considered telling Rainbow about her dream, but that was a story for another time.

"I heard screaming.. Is everything alright?" Rainbow asked with concern in her voice as she made her way into the bathroom.

"I.. I'm fine, Dashie. Just a bad dream is all." Opening the curtain Twilight saw her prismatic mare friend and smiled. "Well? Are you coming in? Or are you just going to watch?" Twilight asked while raising her tail just a bit. She wasn't going to show her everything when she wasn't even in the shower with her yet.

"You had me at coming, Twi." Rainbow said with a grin while hoping into the shower just behind Twilight. This was one of those showers where you didn't really get anything productive done, other than satisfying your horniness of course.

"Ah..! R-Rainbow!" Twilight screamed as she felt a tongue instantly slither its way into her hind lips. With Rainbow, there was two moods during sex. She either fore plays you so long that you pass out into a pleasure-induced coma, or she just goes right for you and there's no stopping her. Tonight was one of those, just go for it, nights. "Mmnnn — A-ah!"

Feeling Rainbow snake her forelegs around her hindlegs, Twilight yelped as her hind quarters was yanked into the air. The only support she had from falling onto her face was her forelegs and it was safe to say her upper body strength was definitely not up to par for her age. Though during sex it seemed as if you could lift 200 pounds with ease, or in this case keep yourself standing even though you shouldn't be.

"Mmmah! D-Dashie.." The nips and bites on her lower lips were starting to bruise, she could feel it. "Ahh! R-Rainbow wha — Ouch!" Forcing her way out of her mare friends grasp, Twilight slowly massaged her nethers with her magic. She couldn't help but give off a tiny moan as she did, her clit still poking out from all the attention she was getting not moments ago. "Rainbow that hurt you know." Twilight said while turning to face the cyan mare. "You need to be a little more caref-AAAAAAAH!" Twilight backpaddled into the bathtub fossette in utter horror as she watched her mare friend's neck start to bleed profusely, the water turning completely red while flowing to the drain beneath Twilight's flanks, turning Twilights purple forelegs and hind quarters completely red with Rainbow's blood.

"What's wrong, Twi?" Rainbow asked with a tilt to her head, blood slowly streaming from her mouth as she spoke. "Am I not good enough?" I-I can do better! I swear!"

Twilight watched as what ever it was cried, it's black eyes producing the red tears that were staining her cheeks and lips as they dragged down her face. Twilight couldn't move, she wanted to teleport out, but both her magic and her legs wouldn't work with her. "R-Rainbow STOP! This isn't funny!" Twilight yelled with a stomp of her hoof. The blood stained water splashing up onto her face.

"But I'm not trying to be funny!" It said while sitting up, the skin surrounding what used to be Rainbow's flanks slowly peeling off as she stood up. "Do you love me, Twi?" Rainbow's figure desperately asked Twilight with a lick of the lips, the skin of her flanks slowly trailing behind her with each step by just thin strands of flesh.

Closing her eyes, Twilight screamed as loud as she could. Some pony had to hear her. Any pony at all.

"Twi? Are you in here?" Came a familiar voice from within her bedroom.

Slowly opening her tear filled eyes, Twilight nervously looked at her surroundings before hearing Rainbow's voice once again from her bedroom. "I heard screaming.. Is everything alright?"

Slowly and shakily, Twilight stood up onto all fours. Her bathtub now completely white, just like before. Her coat was no longer stained and her water was no longer a river of Rainbow's blood. "D-Dash?" Twilight spoke with caution. She didn't know what to believe anymore.

Though as soon as Twilight said Rainbows name, Rainbows figure came bursting through the door, the door slamming into the door stopper on the wall. Twilight tried to scream, but nothing came out as the same blood stained figure stopped motionless right in front of her. She was practically nuzzling it. Once again Twilight found that she couldn't move. What would happen if she did? All she could do was stare into its black, lifeless eyes.

"Do you love me, Twi?" The figure asked once again, tilting its head to the side. Its voice was now deep and gravely. Almost as if its voice box had been damaged.

Twilight gulped down the ball in her throat with struggle. She couldn't say no. She wanted to, but she feared that the consequences would be far greater. "Y-yes.."

"LIAR!" The figure yelled, raising its forelegs it slammed the ground, the floor cracking in 2. Twilights screams of terror as she fell being muffled as laughter began to echo in the darkness around her.

"Aha! Miss Sparkle! How nice of you to drop in!" Eris laughed as she watched Twilight land on her couch. "Do you want a cup of hot cocoa? I just made it fresh!" Eris asked while placing the tray of cocoa onto the table in front of Twilight.

Sitting so she was upright, Twilight flashed her horn and tried to teleport away, but yet again nothing happened.

"Its useless to try to get out of here Miss Sparkle. Especially by teleporting."

With a sigh, Twilight grabbed a cup of cocoa in her magic and began to drink. Her throat was sore and dry, so she had little choice. "C-can I ask where I am exactly?" Twilight didn't know if she actually wanted to know that question, but by now it mattered little if she knew or not.

Eris smiled as she conjuring up a big chalk board and some red chalk to write with. "Well! Lets start from the beginning! You see, a long time ago your mother and father got into a bed together and he slooowly put his peni-"

"Please! No jokes or games! J-just tell me!" Twilight demanded. She was starting to get annoyed by all of this.

Eris looked at Twilight and sighed. Grabbing the chalk in her magic she slowly drew two red lines below her eyes as if she was crying tears of blood. "What's wrong, Twi? Was I not good enough?" Eris busted out laughing as she watched Twilights reaction of both horror and pure annoyance.

Groaning, Twilight threw her cup onto the ground with all the might she could muster with her weakened magic. But as it hit the ground, it just bounced away.

"Now now, Twilight! That's kind of uncalled for isn't it?" Eris questioned before picking up her red chalk once more. "Now, where was I? Ahh! You see.. You, Twilight Sparkle, are in Acoma." Throwing the red chalk away, Eris projected an image of Twilight Sleeping in a hospital bed. "Call this.. a personal purgatory?"

Twilight watched as she lay dormant in the hospital bed, Rainbow Dash could be seen sleeping in a chair next to her lightly holding her hoof. Twilight's eyes started to water over as she saw Rainbow sitting there. She wanted to scream at herself. Tell herself to wake up. To do anything! "How.. How do I get out of here?" Twilight asked through her shaky voice.

"Now that is a good question! I, sadly, have no control over when you leave. That is controlled by yourself and yourself alone, Miss Sparkle." Eris poofed the chalk board out of existance and teleported behind the little island she had in her kitchen. "Now, tell me Twilight. How do you think you're going to get out of here?" Eris asked while cleaning the glass that Twilight threw onto the ground.

Twilight contemplated this question hard. For a start, she knew she wasn't actually here in reality, but she also knew she was in its own twisted way. Teleporting out wasn't going to work. better yet, doing anything with her magic wasn't going to work. So that was completely out of the question.

"Hey, I know you're deep in thought over there, but I'm afraid we've ran out of time." Eris grinned while clapping her hooves together. "So! Twilight, may I be the first to welcome you back to reality!" Eris shouted before suddenly turning the whole house upside down, while she herself stayed upright. "Oops.. There goes gravity!"

Twilight screamed as she fell towards the emptiness of black once again. Her mind dreading the place she was going to end up in next.

"W-what are you waiting for!? Help her!" Twilight heard through the darkness, a familiar voice. All she could see was the darkness, not even her own two hooves could be seen when right in front of her face.

"What do you mean wait!? I.. I cant — I wont!" The voice spoke again as the sound of a door slamming echoed throughout the darkness around her. This time however, Twilight knew exactly who's voice that was.

"R-Rainbow! Rainbow where are you! P.. please! Rainbow.." Twilight looked around the darkness with tear filled eyes trying to spot the Pegasus, but as usual, all she saw was black. Twilight closed her eyes. She could remember seeing the projection Eris showed her. Seeing Rainbow sleeping next to her, while holding her hoof.

Screaming at the top of her lungs at no pony in particular, Twilight couldn't hold back as all her frustration exited her body. She wanted to punch something, scream and kick at everything she saw, but what made at all worse was that nothing could be seen.

"T-Twilight? I.. I don't know if you can even hear me.." Stopping her screaming and thrashing about, Twilight's ears perked as Rainbow's voice echoes around her once again. "Please.. P-please don't leave me. I.. I love you, Twilight Sparkle. So you have to come back! J-just do something! Tell me you love me! Hate me, anything!"

As Rainbow's voice disappeared once again, Twilight sniffled as she dwelled on Rainbow's words. She loved her? Rainbow loved her? Opening her eyes, Twilight thought hard in determination. She was going to get back to her real body, she had to.

Thinking back, Twilight tried her best to remember things that her and Eris talked about. She figured something had to have been said to give her some sort of clue on how to get out of here. "Twilight, you must know that dreams do not become reality through magic alone." Twilight looked around in sudden realization. That was it. That's why her magic wasn't working properly! She didn't just have to think it along side with her magic, she had to feel it. To put her fear behind her.

Closing her eyes, Twilight thought of home. Of Rainbow Dash, of spike, of everything she loved with all her brain power. She thought of all the times her and her friends saved Equestria. Her brother and parents as they laughed and ate at the dinner table. Of Rainbow holding her hoof, saying that she loved her..

Peeking her eyes open, Twilight quickly looked around at her surroundings in excitement. It had worked! But where was she, and why was everything grey? For a start, Twilight knew she was in Ponyville, or at least on the outskirts. Her castle could be seen in the far distance. Looking in front of her, Twilight began to move through the thick fog that covered the ground her up to her knees.

"T-Twilight? I.. I don't know if you can even hear me.. Please.. P-please don't leave me. I.. I love you, Twilight Sparkle. So you have to come back! J-just do something! Tell me you love me! Hate me, anything!" Lowering her brow in determination at Rainbow's words, Twilight began to run as fast as she could. She was thinking of teleporting, but she didn't want to end up somewhere else. She just couldn't trust her magic for this. Twilight sure was glad she went and trained with Rainbow on a regular basis, it really made running though the thick fog below her easier than it should be.

Twilight slowly entered the thick forest that stood tall between herself and Ponyville, her reality. Twisting her head to the left and right, Twilight gulped down her fear as the wind began to pick up. She felt as if she was being watched and it was making her mind start to play tricks on her.

"Do you love me, Twi?" Rainbow's voice echoed around in the forest. Bouncing off the trees and into Twilights ears over and over again. "Am I not good enough?" Rainbow's voice continued to speak.

"Y-you are! R-Rainbow, you are!" Twilight pleaded as she ran faster and faster, the outer buildings of Ponyville beginning to appear in front of her. She did love Rainbow! She did think she was good enough! But was she good enough for Rainbow?

"LIAR!" The figure of Rainbow yelled before jumping out in front of Twilight, causing Twilight to scream and swiftly turn her trajectory back into the forest. Running as fast as she could muster, Twilight got onto her hind legs and put her back against a tree. Though Twilight covered her eyes as bright cyan and purple coloured lights appeared before her, penetrating its way through the grey reality Twilight had become rather used to.

"Hey Rainbow!" Twilight watched attentively against the tree as her past self greeted the Pegasus.

"H-hey Twi! W-whats up?" Rainbow shakily asked.

"I'm just sorting all these new books that I got from the Canterlot library, isn't this amazing!" Twilight giddily held up some of the books in her magic for Rainbow to see.

Rainbow blushed as she watched the bookworm. She was cute when she was excited. "Heh.. Yeah Twi, it is."

"So, what brings you to the my castle study of all places, Rainbow?" Twilight questioned curiously.

"Well.. I-I was just.. I just wanted to know if.." Rainbow struggled to find the courage she needed. Why was this so hard? "If you had any books on flying?" Rainbow bailed. She couldn't do it. The rose she had hidden under her wing starting to painfully poke her side.

Twilight fell forward onto all fours and stomped her hoof as she watched Rainbow pull a rose from under her wing and throw it out the window as her past self continued to be fascinated with the books. A single tear made its way down Twilights cheek in both anger at herself, and sadness. As her tear fell to the ground Twilight covered her eyes with her forelegs as the cyan and purple colours flashed again, leaving her face to face with the bloody figure of Dash once more.

"Do you love me, Twi?" It asked, a rose in its blood coloured wing slowly being revealed as the figure dug it out with her mouth.

Twilight began to cry not in fear or horror, but in happiness. She finally understood what it was trying to say. Earlier, the first time she saw this figure, she wasn't speaking though truth. She was speaking though fear. She was lying.. "Y-yes. I.. I do." Twilight spoke with only truth in her voice.

Dropping the rose from its mouth the figure of dash flashed a little smile before dematerializing into the greyness of reality. Twilight watched as the rose slowly fell towards the ground. As it touched the dead log below it Twilight felt the most mind-shattering pain in her brain before falling to the ground with it, her body surrounding the rose in a C shape as the greyness turned into black.

Rainbow sat in her chair next to Twilights motionless body, her favorite book series laying in a stack on the floor next to her. She was reading aloud to the purple alicorn not too long ago, but she gave up after her voice got tired. The earlier yelling at the doctors not helping her voice to much in the long run.

Setting her book down, Rainbow began to let go of Twilight's hoof that she had been holding onto for the past however long and went to stand up to stretch, but after trying to pull her hoof away Rainbows eyes went wide as she found that she couldn't. Looking down at Twilight, Rainbow hopped onto the alicorns hospital bed with unbreakable hope. "Twi..?" Rainbow asked as the heart beat monitor beside the bed began to beep out of control. "T-Twilight!"

Opening her eyes, Twilight bolted up from the hospital bed and came face to face with none other than Rainbow. The real Rainbow. Instantly the waterworks began she started into those magenta coloured eyes. Rainbow followed suit with tears of her own. "R-Rainbow!" Twilight screamed before pouncing forward, all the wires that were stuck to her peeling off and falling to the side.

Rainbow caught Twilight in her forelegs and held her as close as she could. Wrapping her wings around her like a cocoon, Rainbow laughed with pure happiness as they cried together. Holding one another as tight as they could.

The warmth from Rainbow's body was all that she needed for proof that she was back. That this was the true reality she belonged in. Pulling back from the hug Twilight stared into Rainbows eyes again before lunging her mouth forward, pressing her lips against Rainbow's. She watched through her half closed eyes as Rainbow leaned back into the kiss.

Regretfully pulling back from the kiss, Rainbow looked into Twilight's eyes as she was to her and smiled. "Do you love me, Twi?" Rainbow asked. It was now or never.

Twilight continued to cry harder at those words. "I do.. More than you could ever know.
