For the Tribe

Previous Chapter

Six Months Later...

“Hello?”

Silver Shine bit her lip as she entered the clearing, unable to quite shake the feeling that somepony was watching her. They’d been watching her since she’d entered the jungle. She’d come here despite the advice of the shamans in Assem Village. No matter how many times she called out, nopony responded.

“I shouldn’t be here alone…” Silver mumbled, flicks of orange magic sparking from her horn. “I shouldn’t be here alone…”

Still, she’d come this far, hadn’t she?

The clearing itself looked more like the beginnings of a new village. To her left, three large baobab trees were in the process of regrowing themselves, a sure sign that they were being treated with the Brew of Housing. The center of the proto-village had a massive firepit and beyond that lay what might be a blacksmith next to a glassblower. That seemed… pretty advanced for something out in the middle of nowhere.

“Hello?” Silver called again. Still, no answer. “Oh come on! I’ve been out in this damn jungle for days looking for you! Isn’t this the place? Isn’t this…”

That’s when she saw it. It had been so large she hadn’t processed it as separate from the jungle itself. A simply massive baobab treehome, at least four stories tall. Branches wandered off in every direction, covering half of the proto-village. Charms, potions and other things she couldn’t identify hung from the thinner branches.

“The home of Shauku the Passionate,” Silver breathed, shivering in anticipation. “At last… this is the place…”

For a moment, Silver thought she heard a chuckle on the breeze, but as before, when she looked around, she saw and heard nothing but the jungle. Cinching her saddlebags in around her middle, she approached the mammoth tree.

When she reached the enormous door, she gave it three quick knocks. She thought she heard something inside, but couldn’t be sure. After a second series of knocks that also went unanswered, she pushed on the door. It opened freely.

Before she could doubt herself, she swallowed and stepped inside.

The scent of sandalwood and jasmine washed over her, exotic in their own strange way since she was pretty sure it was hundreds of miles to the closest jasmine bush. But they did calm her nerves. They also excited her. She was actually here. She was actually doing it! Screw those idiots in Manehattan and those in the Zebracian Shaman Council! She knew what she was doing.

Silver Shine always knew what she was doing.

She glanced up at the two stairways, but her eyes were drawn toward the double doors in front of her. On either side stood a carved statue of a two gorgeous rearing zebra mares… and to Silver’s shock, both had very impressive packages. She blushed at the sheer size of the taller zebra’s equipment. That had to be an exaggeration. Artistic license, even!

She forced herself not to stare and went for the doors. She caught the sound of… something beyond, but she couldn’t say what.

With a shove that belied her lingering nervousness, she shoved them open to reveal a very… odd sight.

The chamber was enormous… or it felt like it should be enormous. Thin curtains of smoke blocked off most of the room, making it impossible to see what really lay inside. Yet there was still a path that led down a few stairs and toward some sort of magical furnace.

The sound became more audible. A voice.

“Hello?” Silver called again. “I’m… I’m here… I’m here to learn!”

She hated the way her voice cracked.

The voice didn’t change. Silver swore softly to herself and crept forward. She wove her way through the curtains of smoke and around the furnace… only to freeze at the sight that lay beyond.

There, a strong zebra mare with the traditional mohawk—with a tiny strand of orangish brown hair on her forehead—stood in the center of a glowing magical circle. Well, less stood and move moved back and forth, because the mare was using her huge male equipment to rut a smaller mare. The mare on the receiving end’s voice was what she had heard, cries of pleasure and passion while the dominant mare grunted.

What she couldn’t believe was how the submissive off-white mare seemed to slowly be growing stripes across her coat.

“Almost ready…” the dominant mare growled in a powerful voice that sent shivers through Silver’s sex.

The larger mare’s thick golden earrings, hoofbands and small golden flaming sword glinted in the light of the magical circle as she moved.

“More, please!” whimpered the changing mare. “Please, Master Jasiri! Let me reach the fourth level!”

The dominant mare, Jasiri, apparently, chuckled and shook her head. “You are not yet ready, little Wind Dart!”

“Hamu!” the other mare whined. “I’ve chosen my new name! Hamu!”

“‘Eager,’ hm?” Jasiri chuckled again. “I like it. But until Kusonga gives you her blessing, third level!”

With that, Jasiri gave an enormous grunt and released a massive load into the young half-zebra mare beneath her. As the mare came—and Hamu came moments later—further changes occurred in the younger mare, at least four more stripes appearing along her back and sizes, though the rest of her remained off-white and sleek, almost like a pegasus. Though oddly enough, the mare had no wings.

Jasiri slowly pulled out of the other mare, who collapsed into the circle, which slowly stopped glowing with magic. Jasiri leaned down to kiss Hamu on the forehead and chuckled again. “Just the third level for now… but you’re welcome to join us in bed again tonight, if you’d like.”

Hamu looked up at her, her ears perking in excitement. “Really, Master?’

Jasiri put on a strict expression. “As long as your chores are done by dusk!”

With that, Hamu giggled, leapt to her feet and scampered off through a door behind them.

“Enjoying the show, unicorn?” said an amused voice from directly behind Silver.

Silver squealed and spun, her horn instantly igniting as she lashed out with an orange whip of magic at the zebra mare who had startled her. The mare chuckled at the whip struck her… only for the magic to instantly shatter. Silver gaped and looked up into two slitted pupils inside bright blue eyes. Something she’d never seen in a zebra before. Smaller than Jasiri—even a little shorter than Silver—she wore the traditional golden neckbands of a shaman, as well as hoofbands on both forehooves. She too had a golden pendant, a strange swirly pattern with a star.

“I am Mistress Kusonga,” the zebra said with a little bow as if Silver had not just tried to attack her. “I am the Second in the Tribe of Shauku, the Tribe of Passion. I bid you welcome.”

“And I am Master Jasiri,” came the strong, friendly voice of the zebra mare behind her. “First of our new Tribe. It’s been some time since we’ve have a pony get to enjoy watching a minor ascension ritual.”

Silver glanced between the two, swallowing hard. Now that she was here, the words wouldn’t come. She opened her mouth to speak… then closed it.

Kusonga chuckled and walked around Silver to stand beside Jasiri. Jasiri… she looked like a normal zebra mare—save for the enormous package—though she had odd eyes, too. Swirling patterns of green and amber, with a few hints of pink, too. Looking at the two of them… sent strange shivers through Silver she couldn’t quite understand.

“I was… I was told… Shauku the Passionate… lived here… and that ponies that come here, they are never heard from again…”

The two shared a look and Jasiri laughed. “I really need to get the mailing address changed.”

“You said you’d do that last week!” Kusonga said scathingly.

“I could always order you to do it.” Jasiri leered at her.

Kusonga let out a surprisingly lewd moan and Silver could actually see that she had a package of her own. Namely, because it swelled when Jasiri said that.

“That’s…” she took a deep, hungry breath. “That’s cheating.”

“No, it’s my right as First,” Jasiri said with a smirk before turning her attention back to Silver. “Shauku the Passionate is… gone. More or less. However, his knowledge now lives on in me and my Second.”

“And… the ponies?”

“You’re looking at them, unicorn,” Kusonga said with a giggle. “But it wouldn’t do to wander through Zebrica as zebras with pony names, now would it? No, all ponies who join the tribe are required to take on a tribal name, their new true name.”

“Our initial… experience with this place,” Jasiri said. “Had a great many unexpected side-effects, including some… alterations to our memories. After finding Kusonga’s journals, it helped us sort a few things out.”

“More or less,” Kusonga giggled as her hoof ran along Jasiri’s belly.

“After a little thought,” Jasiri said, swatting her with a laugh. “We decided it best if we remained here and continue Shauku’s work in a safe and controlled manner.”

The way Jasiri’s eyes glinted when she said that made it clear that her definition of ‘safe and controlled’ might not align with others. And that made things even more exciting.

“And why are you here, unicorn?” Kusonga said, eying her up and down. “What do you seek from the Tribe of Passion?”

“Knowledge,” Silver squeaked.

“Of what?”

“Everything.”

Once again, the two mares glanced at one another. A brief glimpse, then they both nodded.

“You walked in during a ritual,” Jasiri warned. “You know what’s required…”

“Though I suspect the scents wandering off of our curtains and the tree now have you thoroughly wet and excited,” Kusonga said casually, though not without a smirk. “We like to get everyone who walks in a little riled up before meeting us. We must grow our tribe, after all.”

“You’re willing to let me join…?” Silver asked, licking her lips. She could hardly believe her ears.

“Do you want to? You seem an intelligent mare. You know what will be required.”

“How… how many do you have?”

“Seven at present,” Jasiri replied. “Not counting us. I’d love to get that eighth bedroom filled. Two stallions, four mares and two herms like us.”

Silver couldn’t believe it. Would it really be this easy? If even half of the rumors about Shauku were true… Silver could become one of the greatest alchemists who ever lived. That thought alone made her so wet she nearly started leaking right then and there.

“Yes.”

Jasiri smiled and went over to a table where a single white and black potion stood. She returned and passed it over. “Drink and know you are rejecting being a pony by doing so.”

“Mind if I take this one, Courage?” Kusonga asked, licking her lips. “I like her.”

Jasiri leaned down and kissed her Second on the lips. “Don’t use her up too much, Starry.”

“No promises.”

Jasiri chuckled and trotted up the stairs to the circle. She dropped another potion there… and the circle lit up with strange white magic.

“Enjoy yourselves, you two.”

Silver drank the potion. It tasted… strange, but left her aching to be filled. “I…”

“Hush,” Kusonga said as she guided Silver to the circle. Silver had never been the most submissive of mares, but right now, she felt as gentle as a kitten. “I should warn you that parts of your mind might get… pushed out. You okay with that?”

Silver, now panting as she instinctually lowered her front and presented her pale silver hips, simply nodded her head.

“One last thing… now that the potion is roiling through you and beginning to make you a proper zebra… do any names come to you? Doesn’t always happen, but sometimes we get—”

“Tanga,” Silver squeaked. “Tanga… that’s… yes. Tanga.”

“Pretty name for a pretty mare.” Kusonga said as she positioned herself over her. “So, Tanga, are you ready?”

Silver—Tanga—nodded and whimpered. The kind of power they’d shown was too good to pass up. And… she really needed someone to rut her. Some part of her thought they were flimsy reasons for giving up becoming a pony. The rest of her told that part to shut up.

After all, these two still seemed perfectly happy and normal as zebras. Nothing strange about them at all.

“You’re going to be a cute one, I can tell… so many will join our tribe by fucking you…”

As Kusonga’s thick black cock slipped into Tanga, Tanga found that she couldn’t wait to begin.
