The soup
Maud liked making her boyfriend Mudbriar glad, so one day she decided feed him with her special dish – rock soup. Her Mom Cloudy Quartz shared a recipe with her as Cloudy also did with her other daughters. Every sister Pie could make rock soup, and today Maud wanted to make Mud glad with tasty soup. Of course, he liked everything she cooked, but that soup he had never tasted before. Maud decided to fix this.
After shopping and finding necessary rocks, the grey mare started cook soup. Mudbriar wasn’t home, so he didn’t know about that surprise. Maud imagined how her boyfriend would react on her dish. She hoped he would like her soup and would ask make it oftener. That hope warmed her soul.
Mud returned back. He sniffed and felt a good smell, and also the grey stallion was hungry.
"Hello, Maud." He greeted her. "What are you cooking?"
"A rock soup. It’s from my family."
"Technically, I would like to taste it. May I do it please?" His stomach demented a food, and soup smelt delicious.
"Sure". Maud poured the soup into a bowl and put it in front of him. "Before you …"
Mudbriar were crazy because of hunger, so he started eating really fast and he couldn’t hear Maud. That was a big mistake, because …
"M-m-m!" Mud shouted and seized his lower jaw. Maud expected that; because she wanted warn him about rocks in rock soup. She took a telephone and called.
"Hello, Limestone. I have a problem: somepony ate my rock soup and didn’t hear about caution, so somepony’s teeth are hurting now….Yes, you guessed right: somepony is Mudbriar. Can you help him? … Thank you. See you later."
Too bad, Mud’s first soup wasn’t good, and his teeth hurt. But after that he swore himself: now the grey stallion would always listen before doing something.
Silly butterfly
Maud, Mudbriar and Pinkie Pie liked play «Truth or Dare». So one day they played, and the Mudbriar’s turn came in one moment.
"So, Mud, what will you choose?" Pinkie asked.
"Technically, you already know the answer, because everypony know I don’t like telling true about myself. So that was unnecessary question".
"Yeah….So you chose «Dare». Hmm…I have an idea: Mudbriar, you must … stay next to window and loudly shout «I am silly butterfly» five times into window! Of course, if you aren’t cowardly chicken…" Pinkie cunningly smiled.
Mud was in shock. That task was really shameful, and he didn’t want do it. But Pinkie’s last words were nasty, so he decided not complain and do it.
He stayed next to window.
"Go ahead!" Pinkie said.
"Okay…" Mud sighed. "I … am silly butterfly…" He said quietly.
"No fair! You must loudly scream it. That doesn’t consider. Come on!"
"…. I AM SILLY BUTTERFLY!" He finally shouted.
"I AM SILLY BUTTERFLY!"
"I AM SILLY BUTTERFLY!"

"I AM SILLY BUTTERFLY!"
He fast went away from the window before somepony could see him.
"Wow, that was ridiculous!" Pinkie laughed.
"I am sorry about this." Maud said.
"It’s fine. Technically, that could be worse."
Suddenly yellow Pegasus named Fluttershy interrupted into their home. Maud, Pinkie and Mudbriar didn’t expect it.
"Where is talking butterfly, who considers himself silly? I swear I heard him here. I can’t believe he talked. And I can’t believe he has so low self-esteem. Poor little butterfly. I must cheer him up, he must feel himself better! Where is he, where is he?" Fluttershy asked, finding silly butterfly.
Everypony silenced in shock.
Mane-cuts
Sometimes Maud and Mudbriar spent time with Maud’s friends Starlight Glimmer and Trixie. Starlight had great magic skills, and she taught Trixie some spells, who wanted achieve big results for her magic show. The blue unicorn had some results, but she sometimes distracted. So…
"The Great and Powerful Trixie wants to show you her amazing results in magic. Thanks for her The Great and Powerful Assistant. Okay, one, two, three!" Her horn was covering with magic aura, and flashes were coming.
The spell had success for her, but not for Maud and Mud.
"Trixie, what did you do?!" Starlight shouted.
"Come on, they are fine. Just look: Mud’s mane-cut looks great on Maud’s head. And Maud’s mane-cut looks great on Mud’s head. The most important thing is not muddle them." She laughed.
Yeah, the blue unicorn switched their mane-cut. They looked very, very silly, so they a little blushed.
"Technically, I am not going to comment this". The grey stallion said, correcting Maud’s mane-cut on his head.
Kites
Two kites were flying in the sky, curiously looking down. Starlight took one, Maud took other. Mud just watched that amazing flight. Three ponies could fly kites all time even without saying something. They don’t need it.
However, Starlight Glimmer felt bored, so she decided to make fun of Maud and Mudbriar, using her magic. She knew these two loved each other so much (even if they didn’t show it so much). And Starlight thought Mud wouldn’t mind, if Maud gave him … some love. She decided take with telekinesis Maud’s head carefully and make Maud and Mudbriars’ kiss. The purple unicorn really wanted to see it. Plus they would become closer after that.
Starlight took with telekinesis discreetly Maud’s head and was going to lean her face to face her boyfriend. But suddenly strong wind was blowing, and Starlight had to hold her kite. So she got distracted from Maud and didn't hold her back. Maud fell and accidentally kissed in felling …. Starlight!
Maud and Starlights’ kites felt, because ponies stopped hold them.
"What have I done?!" The unicorn thought with red face. "Stupid wind!!!"
Maud had red face, too. She silenced and looked on Starlight, because she lost ability of speech. She was afraid on looking on Mud, who was shocked. Nobody could say who was in the biggest shock: Maud, Mudbriar or Starlight.
Without technically
Everybody knows Mud’s «technically». That was his main phrase, which he used almost in all sensitive. Maud loved when he said this word. But sometimes his word could be too annoying for other ponies.
"Hey, Mud," Pinkie said once. "Let’s have a deal".
"Technically, I don’t understand you".
"Exactly! You can’t cay «technically». If you don’t say this a long time, I will … take care of your stick garden all month".
That would be really advantageously for Mudbriar.
"And if I lose?" He asked.
"If you lose, you must say the thing which makes you laugh. And you will have to laugh."
He thought a little and agreed on this deal. One hour they didn’t say anything, later Pinkie started ask questions:
"So, Mudbriar, how you life are go?"
Oh no, Pinkie said sensitive incorrect, and Mud couldn’t even correct her! He didn’t say something on that.
"So, Mudbriar, how you life are go?" Pinkie repeated with wider smile.
"Be patient, Mudbriar, be patient". He said himself, trying not correcting her. But Pinkie didn’t leave him alone. She asked it again and again and more incorrect.
"TECHNICALLY, THAT SENSITIVE IS INCORRECT! The right sensitive is: «How does your life go?»!" He gave up. And he fast closed his mouth with hooves.
"Ah-ha! I knew you will lose! Now say me what makes you laugh".
"Okay, I lost. And, technically, I am afraid of … tickles". He mumbled.
"Oh, really…?" She unexpectedly jumped on him and started ticking him. He tried run away, but it was hopeless. "Tickle, tickle, tickle!"
"Pf..pf…ha-ha-ha…stop, stop! Tech…technically….ha-ha…too tickle! Stop…ha-ha…please!" He laughed. Pinkie won, she finally heard Mud’s laugher.
Plushies
Have you ever heard about plushies? Well, it is little fluffy pony-toys, which are pretty cute. And there are plushies in Ponyville, too.
Starlight loved those toys. She had them a lot of, Starlight had even herself as plushy. And also she was a big shipper. She hid it from other ponies, so she played with plushies when she was alone.
"You are the core of my oak". She said it as plushy-Mudbriar.
"You're the basis of my basalt". She said as plushy-Maud.
"Oh, Maud…."
"Oh, Mudbriar…"
Later plushies started kissing, Starlight became crazier and crazier. Plushy-Mud showered plushy-Maud compliments, sometimes even with obscene content. Thank goodness, nopony heard her. Well, Starlight only thought so…
"Hello, Starlight. I would like to fly a kite …." Words ended, when Maud saw her friend with plushies. Our shipper in scary hid it.
"Hello, Maud. I was just bored; I didn’t do anything silly or strange. I was just bored! How are you? Bad or good? I hope you are good, let’s go fly a kite!" Starlight said in rushing.
Maud only smiled with cunning. Suddenly she took a plushy-Starlight and plushy-Sunburst from her rucksack.
"Oh, Starlight, you are so beautiful". She said as plushy-Sunburst.
"Oh, you are so handsome, Sunburst". She answered as plushy-Starlight.
"Oops, he-he". Starlight blushed and laughed. Maud laughed, too. Starlight found another thing, which made her more similar with Maud: it was shipping.
The mirror
Sometimes Maud saw strange things with her boyfriend. He was more silent than he had ever been. Also he was sadder. She tried to understand his problem, but he didn’t want to talk about this.
"Technically, I am okay. You are worry about wrong things, Maud". Mud said every time when Maud wanted to talk about this.
Later after some observations, Maud understood the problem: Mudbriar didn’t like himself. He considered himself weak and too skinny. Also Mud thought he didn’t have even little muscle in his legs. Maud saw him, trying to catch up on the bar on street. He did good results (ten catching was a record), but the grey stallion still didn’t like himself. Maud knew she must to help him.
"Hello, Trixie. I wanted to ask you about something". She came to blue unicorn.
"What?"
"Have you got…magic mirror, which could … change reflection?"
"The Great and Powerful Trixie has everything, if it has magic! Plus Starlight helped me with this. Together we could make this mirror, you can take it". Trixie gave a big mirror to Maud. And yes, Maud’s reflection had strong hooves.
"Thank you".
"You are welcome".
The next morning Mud woke and went to bathroom, wanting to comb his mane. Staying next to magic mirror, he started to comb. And suddenly he saw his hooves, they were strong. Mud saw his muscles, he couldn’t believe in that miracle. He finally didn’t felt himself weak. The grey stallion finally smiled since last time. Now he knew he deserved being boyfriend of nice, beautiful, understanding and king pony as Maud was.
Maud saw he was glad. His fur became fair, and king smile was on his face. And when he was glad, Maud was glad, too.
Cookies
Mud’s favorite book was «Stickology». That book was about … sticks (wow, how unexpectedly!) . He could read it all day and couldn’t notice that. So one day he spent his free time with «Stickology». He sat on coach and started reading.
Maud today bought some chocolate cookies and returned back. The grey mare sat on the coach, where was her boyfriend, hoping on eating tasty cookies together. Mud didn’t notice her appearance, he continued reading. «Stickology» was really interesting for him. Maud waited a moment when he finally would see her, but that moment wouldn’t come. Maud sat with boring and sadness.
Suddenly she got an idea how to distract Mud from his book. The grey mare jabbed a hoof a couple of times in his cheek. Finally Mudbriar stopped reading and looked on her in misunderstanding. And Maud suddenly put one cookie in his mouth, half the cookie sticking out. Mud was surprised and so did not try to pull the cookie out of his mouth. His girlfriend smiled slyly. Mudbriar finally understood her. His green eyes darted to the left in embarrassment, and his cheeks, which Maud had poked recently, turned red. The gray stallion finally pulled half the cookies out of his mouth and began to eat the cookies. Maud joined him, and finally they began to enjoy delicious cookies and each other's company.
Rocks, sticks
Pinkie, Mudbriar and Maud spent time together. But now it wasn’t as nice as usually: today Pinkie was ten seconds late delivering the cake. These ten seconds meant a lot to her, so the pink pony was very upset. Maud couldn’t see her sister sad. She wanted to make her happy. The grey mare winked at her boyfriend, and he understood. The couple decided to start their favorite game, wanting to cheer Pinkie.
"Rocks". Maud started the game.
"Sticks". Mudbriar continued the game.
"Rocks".

Pinkie wanted to join the game, and she accidently shouted:
"CUPCAKES! … Oops, sorry".
"Technically, you are winner, Pinkie Pie".
"What?"
"That’s the point of out game. You did everything to win, you said right word, so you won". Maud explained.
"Wait, that was a point of this game?"
"Nyess". Mudbriar said.
"I … win… I win! I win!" Pinkie jumped in happiness and hugged them.
"Do you feel yourself better?" Maud asked.
"I do, I do! Thanks for this wonderful game, guys!"
Of course, that wasn’t a real game of Maud and Mud. But Pinkie Pie was happy, and that was the main thing.
Without nightmares
Maud was sitting on the kitchen with her pet Boulder, Mud’s pet Twiggy joined to them, too. There was quietly and peaceful. Nothing ruined silence.
Suddenly Maud heard strange sounds from Mud’s room, where he was sleeping at the moment. What was what? She decided to find out the cause of these sounds.
"Stay here, friends". Maud said to pets and went to Mudbriar’s room.
Sounds became quietly and loudly, and they turned into strange weak words. Maud slowly opened door and saw nothing, except sleeping Mud. Sounds went from his mouth; he saw something in dream or … in nightmare. The sweat was felling down from his head to his back. His body was shacking; hooves and tail were twitching nervously. He definitely saw a terrible nightmare.
"Don’t…leave me…No, wait! Please…I’m sorry…technically, I love you…Maud…don’t leave me…." Mud mumbled in sleeping, begging.
Maud understood what her boyfriend saw. She wanted to calm down him and show him she was here and would never go from him. Mud needed it. But he was sleeping, how to do it?
Maud laid on his bed next to Mudbriar and carefully hugged him, he didn’t wake.
"I am here…" The grey mare said very, very quiet.
"Don’t…leave…" Mud stopped talking and sobbing in sleeping. His back stopped shacking, and his face was becoming peaceful and calm. The nightmare finally let go him. Mud relaxed and peacefully snorted his nose, his breathing became even.
Maud was happy because she drove the terrible vision from him. She loved him with all her heart and didn't want him to feel bad. And Mud was afraid of losing her, it was his worst nightmare. He loved her too and couldn't imagine life without her. That Rock Show changed everything in their lives, and they were happy about it.
She was so happy that she felt tired. Setting comfortably, Maud closed her eyes and dozed off. Mudbriar’s body warmed her. Together they will guard each other's dreams.
