              Chapter 1 The Adventure Begins

Chapter 1 The Adventure Begins
Flurry Heart woke suddenly. She had been sleeping in her bed and was currently in an odd position. It took her a minute realize what had woken her up. It was sound of her name. Someone was knocking at her door. "Flurry Heart, its time. Get yourself dressed and meet me in the throne room. Cadence wants to see you off."
Flurry Heart stretched out her arms and yawned. The sun was just barely peaking in through the curtains. It had to be no more than a bit past dawn. Slowly getting to her hooves, her hands threw off the blankets still holding her to the bed. Another long stretch later and she was heading for the dresser. She quickly threw on a white T-shirt and black leather jacket, poking her wings through the holes as she did so. Then pulled on some thick brown cargo pants.
In her tired state, she felt like she was forgetting something but shoved it from her mind. Today was the day and Ember was waiting for her. She gave her wings a quick stretch before tucking them against her back. "Alright," she said to herself, "Time to show Ember I can do this."
She confidently opened the doors to her room and was heading down the stairs to the throne room in seconds.
As she neared the room, she passed some of the guards on the way to patrol, some servants who also appeared to be just now getting up and the usual pony who was getting in line early to bring their disputes to her mother. She wouldn't be opening the throne room up for a few more hours but that didn't stop them from wanting to be first in line.
Two guards stood in front of the throne room, their heavy armor made it clear that they were no meant to be messed with. Their large swords and dark crystal bodies made them look like a force to be reckoned with, ready to tear down any who opposed them.
They casually stood aside and opened the door as Flurry Heart neared. She greeted them with a casual nod.
As Flurry Heart entered she had to hold back a laugh as her eyes fell on her mother. Her mane was a mess and she was still wearing a night gown. Clearly she wasn't used to being up at the crack of dawn, at least not anymore. Ember stood nearby and appeared to be giving her a hard time. She wore a black cloak with a hood, brown leather jacket and dark brown pants. Both looked over at Flurry as she neared.
Ember held out her fist and Flurry bumped it with her own. She also gave a quick hug to Cadence. "Morning Flurry."
Flurry Heart smiled, "Morning. A bit too early for you there?"
Cadence blushed, "Actually I never went to bed. Shining was a bit... Invasive last night, and I..."
Flurry held up her hand, "I get the picture. 18 years now and it still hasn't gotten an less weird. This what I get for being the daughter of the Princess of Love."
Cadence continued to blush while try to hide a smile behind her hand. Flurry turned to Ember who bending down to get something.
Ember lifted a large bag and handed it to Flurry, "This will be you provisions. It is magically induced in order to hold a bunch of stuff. More than an average bag would normally be able to carry. It should be more than enough to last you the next several weeks we will be out."
Flurry held out her hand and nearly fell over upon receiving it. She extended her wings out used them to help balance her as she fumbled with the heavy bag. Magically induced or not, it was still a large heavy bag. "Thanks!" she blurted out.
Cadence composed herself. "I am so proud of you. You may have had a rough start not too long ago but now with Ember at your side, I can promise you, you will learn all that you need to know about survival. And when that next big incident pops up, I won't even try to stop you if you decide to face it head on."
Flurry Heart smiled, "Thanks mom. I promise to follow everything Ember tells me." She then tried to lift the backpack onto her back, only fall back onto the floor. Her wings splayed out as she struggled to stand.
Cadence turned to Ember, "I would like to thank you again for taking her under your wing. Now that she knows just how dangerous the world outside can be, I think she is going to be hanging on your every word. She will grow in strength under you."
Ember gave Cadence a thumbs (claw?) up, "After seeing her power through that Dragon beat-down, I think she's tough enough to handle anything. She just needs to learn how to use that strength properly."
Flurry Heart finally managed to the get to her feet, all be it completely hunched over. She quickly applied a strength spell to her back and was able to stand upright. It wouldn't last long, most of her spells don't, but it should last long enough for her adapt somewhat to the heavy object on her.
"Well, Flurry appears to be ready to go." Ember observed. She put a claw on her shoulder, "Better say your goodbyes. Its going to be awhile."
Cadence reached out and gave Flurry a long hard hug, "Good luck out there. Your father would be proud as well. He wishes he could see you off but something important came up on the outskirts of the city. I'm sure he would tell you to be careful as well."
Flurry Heart blushed, "I am adult now, don't worry. I will show you what I can do when I get back."
Cadence broke from the hug and took a step back, "Right, off you two go then. I need to get ready for the day. Goodbye Flurry, we will be cheering you on from here."
Flurry gave a nod and a waved. Ember turned and headed towards the set of double doors while Flurry turned and followed close behind.
As the doors shut behind them, Flurry felt a wave of nerves hit her. "This is it. I've never been gone for no more than a few days outside the city. I can't believe I am doing this. I am so excited... OK maybe a bit nervous too... But still excited. I wonder what Ember will be teaching me first."
Ember, as if somehow reading her mind, responded, "First lesson starts once we reach our first camp site. Got a particular cave in mind that I had scouted out earlier while you slept. Hope your strength extends to all parts of your body because you are going to need everything to get through this first lesson."
Flurry Heart trailed behind as her mind raced, "Oh boy, I hope I haven't gotten myself into anything too crazy... But I've seen how strong Ember is. If anyone can teach me its her. I hope I can show her that it was worth taking me under her wing."
Flurry Heart realized she was falling behind and began to pick up the pace. Both soon excited the castle and already the backpack was starting to slow her movement, causing her to let out a long deep exhale.
Ember smiled back, "Don't go getting tired on me yet, your training has only just begun!"
Flurry Heart shook her head, "Not even close, I am going to show you everything I've got!"
Ember laughed, "Oh trust me, I can already tell you I will be seeing everything soon enough."
Flurry gave her a confused look and Ember just continued laughing. The adventure had just begun.

This is going to be fun. I've got two chapters already written up. I'll be releasing Chapter 2 soon and Chapter 3 in the next few days. After that, chapter uploads will be a bit sporadic so keep an eye out. Hope you are as excited as I am.

Chapter 2 The First Lesson Is Also a Test?
Ember lead Flurry Heart through the icy chill of the Crystal Empire mountains. The snow was moving fast and felt like icicle shards against Flurry's face. She put an arm out to block some of it but her arm quickly grew tired. She had cast a body warmth spell that was helping to stave of the cold but the icy snow was still cold and almost painful against her face. "How close are we to the cave you were talking about earlier?!" She called out over the roar of the wind.
Ember stopped and turned, "We are actually here." She pointed ahead and despite the thick snow, Flurry could just make out the small entrance of a cave surrounded by snow.
Ember entered while Flurry struggled the rest of the way. She lit up her horn as she entered. Once inside, the cave curved immediately that led Flurry and Ember to a large open chamber. A large blue glowing crystal formation hung on the ceiling, casting faint light over the area. Stalagmites doted the area. Ember sat down near the entrance and set down her bag. "Alright, I brought a ton of sticks with us. Lets get a fire going. Then we can begin."
Ember reached into her bag and produced a large handful of thick large sticks. "Damn these magical bags are awesome. They may weigh a ton but I can store so much stuff in here!"
She then carefully laid them out into a pile in the shape of a triangle. After laying down a sufficient amount, she flew on the pile a bit of fire breath. The blaze was soon dancing on the walls.
Flurry set down her bag and joined Ember next to the fire. "So, what is our first lesson?"
Ember got up and removed her cloak, setting it down next to her bag. It had been slightly frozen due to the cold. Ember did her best to set it up so that the fire would hopefully melt off some of the ice and snow. "Actually, our first lesson is more like a test."
"Huh?"
"As in, I need to know a few more things about you in order to cover what needs to be covered."
Flurry Heart shrugged, "Oh alright. What do you want to know about me?"
Ember shook her head, "No, not like that. I want you to come at me with everything you got. I need to assess where your strength lies when you fight. In other words, I want a one on one duel with you."
Flurry put her hands up, "Are you crazy? I'm not gonna fight you. You are my teacher... Not to mention a Dragon Lord with years of experience. Experience that can be used to kick my ass worst that that mountain dragon did."
Ember chuckled, "Its true, in a normal fight I would probably win but this is important. I need you to fight me as if I was attacking you like that mountain Dragon did."
Flurry Heart looked unsure. "I got wrecked by a Dragon during my last attempt. Humiliated even. I don't know if I am ready to try again so soon."
Ember let out a sigh, "Alright, lets make a game out of it. All you have to do is subdue me for 10 seconds. If you win, I'll show you this hot spring that I know of nearby. We can spend all day relaxing. That sound fair?"
Flurry Heart raised an eyebrow. "Alright... Fine. But what happens if I lose?"
"Then... You owe me a big favor. The Crystal Empire is home to several caves, creatures and gems. There is a special gem that can be found around here. Its tasty and bursting with flavor. A rare treat if you will. Its called The Beacon. If I win, you have to retrieve it for me."
Flurry Heart took off her coat and set it to the side. "Doesn't sound too hard... Alright, you're on."
"Good, go over to the other side of the cave. I'm coming at you in 30 seconds so you better be ready."
Flurry nodded and quickly made her way over. She stopped a good several hooves away and stood in a fighting stance, arms raised, ready for anything. In her mind, a strategy began to form. Alright, Ember is much smaller than that Dragon I fought. I might be able to employ more tricks than I did last time. Dad taught me blasting and shielding spells so I can use those to my advantage here. I just have to knock her off her feet. Then use the shield spell to hold her...
"Ready? GO!"
Flurry Heart flinched as her train of thought came to an end. Ember charged at her, fist raised, ready to strike.
The young alicorn quickly cast a strength and speed spell on herself. Ember got closer, and with enough force to push the air around her, she tried to swing at Flurry Hearts stomach. Flurry Heart used her speed to dodge then counter attacked with a punch, catching Ember's face and sending her spinning in the air. Flurry took advantage of this and charged at her. She landed a punch to Ember's mid section, sending Ember flying across the cave.
She slammed hard against the wall. Dirt rained down as Ember appeared stunned for a moment. Flurry unfurled her wings and took off, charging up a shield spell, ready to hold Ember where so was. Ember waited until Flurry was close enough before erupting a fireball from her mouth. Flurry Heart put of the shield early to stop it. The fire ball hit her defense and left a cloud of smoke in its wake. Flurry advanced despite her vision being blocked but only find a blank wall.
Flurry Heart hesitated, trying to find Ember. She didn't have to look hard as Ember came from the left, spin kicking Flurry, her foot landing against Flurry's stomach.
Flurry let out a gasp as she went flying into a nearby stalagmite. The rock cracked on impact. Flurry gritted her teeth, and saw Ember was running towards her. She got up and hovered, attempting to kick upwards at Ember with her hoof. She aimed for Ember's jaw. Ember dodged right and caught the hoof. She then twisted and pulled. Turning around and launching Flurry at another stalagmite.
Flurry Heart caught the side of it and bounced off. She turned end over end until coming to a stop in the middle of the cave. Flurry Heart slowly got to her hooves. She was covered in dirt but seemed to be mostly unharmed. Her shirt was torn around her shoulder and she was missing a chuck of her right cargo pants just below the knee.
Ember took a second to catch her breath, slowly circling Flurry. Her pants were torn and her coat was singed. She looked like she was getting ready for another attack.
Flurry Heart concentrated on her horn. It began to glow a soft yellow. She put her hands up and then held them out forward, her palms open. Ember stopped her advance, wondering what Flurry had in mind.
Flurry's horn began to shoot sparks from it. Her breathing was starting to quicken as sweat began to pour down her face. More sparks shot out. "Alright Ember," She said as she struggling against the flow of magic building in her horn, "Lets see you try this!"
Flurry gritted her teeth then opened her mouth and cried out with everything she had, "AHHHHH!"
The young alicorn released her pent up energy as a large beam shot forth.
*BAVROOOM*
It was massive, easily as big as she was. Ember crossed her arms over her body as the blast of magic completely engulfed her. The blast continued and crashed against the wall behind her. Dirt rained from the ceiling. The magical energy beam continued for a few seconds longer before dissipating. Flurry Heart fell to her knees. She was out of breath and out of energy. She glanced up, trying to see through the cloud of dirt surrounding her. There was no noise, no movement. The only thing she could hear was her own breathing for a solid minute. Eventually it did clear and what she saw made her jaw hit the ground.
Ember stood there. Her arms still crossed out in front of her in defense. She blinked, and glanced down. Not a scratch on her but her clothes had been completely evaporated. Her breasts jiggled slightly as she examined herself. After making sure she was alright, she glanced back at Flurry, "Huh... Did not see that coming. Had that been a lesser dragon, they might have been knocked unconscious. Certainly knocked the wind out of me."
She casually walked over, her breasts twitching with each step. Had she not been out of breath, Flurry would have enjoyed the view. Ember stopped when she reached Flurry. She grabbed her shirt from the front just bellow the neck and lifted her up so that they were at eye level. "Alright Flurry, time to go over what you did wrong. But first..." Ember began to count down from 10. Flurry, completely exhausted after the attack, could only watch in defeat as her number reached zero. No sooner had Ember reached zero did her shirt give out, tearing from Embers grasp and causing Flurry to slink back to the floor.
"Well, this feels familiar." She mumbled. "Half naked and my face in the dirt after getting wrecked by a Dragon. Can't get more two days ago than this."
Ember chuckled and knelt down next to her, "Yes but unlike that time. I can tell you what you did wrong and hopefully, you can actually learn from it."
Flurry turned over, resting on her back with her wings splayed out. Her breasts were now free from the broken shirt with only the left sleeve and part of the left side being the only thing still attached. She glanced up at Ember, "Alright, what have you got?"
Ember stood up and gestured around her. "Alright, first of all, strategy is not something you do during a fight. That comes before. I noticed you took too long trying to come up with something and while it did give you a brief advantage, it made you too focused on it. Instead of looking for a weakness, you charged forward with your own dumb plan that really would have only worked on a creature with a low intelligence."
Ember stopped and pointed at her mid section. "That counter attack was good though. I'm a bit rusty but you still managed to land a good hit. Matching magic with strength is a good combo. But remember to not rely on it too much."
Ember walked over and pointed to the cracked stalagmite. "After your strategy ended, most would fall back. Maybe try to find some cover among the stalagmites. Sometimes, acting on instinct when it comes to fighting can work. Sometimes instinct will even win out. However, after failing at your strategy, you tried to kick me which left you completely open. You seemed to do it only because you thought it might work. Changing up how you fight on the fly can work in certain circumstances but not against another level headed fighter."
Ember pointed at the cargo pants area that was missing on Flurry Heart, "I was able to get a good grip on you right there. You were completely open, something you shouldn't allow when you are in a fight."
Ember walked over to the large hole in the wall. "Then we come to your big bang attack. Very powerful and in the right circumstances, could prove useful. But clearly takes too long to charge. Best to hide and charge up your attack if you need to use it. The only reason I stood there was because I was testing to see what it could do. I could have easily dodged it or put you down before you could have ever used it."
Ember walked back over and sat next to Flurry Heart cross legged. She reached out and gripped her claws around Flurry's horn. Flurry let out a small gasp at the touch, her legs crossed as her body tensed up. Ember cocked her head slightly, "But with this powerful weapon comes its own problems. You clearly were out of breath after using it and it wasn't due to our fight. Using this spell seems to drain your energy to the point you are wide open for any kind of punishment. This attack should only be used as a last resort or before making a quick escape."
She let go causing Flurry Heart to go limp. "Guess this thing is ultra sensitive, huh? Better keep that in mind as well."
Ember got back up, bent over and carefully put her claws underneath Flurry, lifting her up bridal style. She walked back to the fire, careful not to trip on Flurry's wings. She opened her bag with her foot, reached in and grabbed a sleeping bag between her toes. She then laid it out and set Flurry onto it. "Alright, first day and not to shabby. I know what I need to work with in the fighting department, now we just need to cover something else."
Flurry, who was on the edge of passing out tried to ask what it was but Ember continued, "You owe me a gemstone and it just so happens that it is going to be tied to your second lesson. Learning how to adapt to a different environment. We will be doing this both with and without your magic. So try to really rest up because I am really going to work you out tomorrow."
Ember walked over and started to look through her bag. "Oh and... I hope you brought a swimsuit... Oh that's right, we packed your bags. Well... Hope you're a good swimmer."

I thought it was going to be weeks before I got around to this but I have been coming by a good amount of free time lately and my inspiration pool just keeps pumping more stuff out. So hope you enjoy this series because I have many ideas for it. Also, don't be afraid to voice your own ideas as well. I will gladly take suggestions. (Just so long as they aren't too over the top.)

                  Chapter 3 The Deep Dive

Chapter 3 The Deep Dive
Ember examined the glowing pool in front of her. It was pretty large, at least a good 6 hooves by 6 hooves across going by pony metrics. Its depth was another story. At least a good 20 hooves deep. And at the bottom, her prize. A large pile of her favorite gemstones. They glowed a light blue hue and lit up the pool. Smaller ones dotted the sides adding to its lit up nature. She was currently standing deep in a cave, a different one then before. It wasn't too far from the one with the hot springs though.
Both she and Flurry Heart were standing in a small cave. Their camp set up just a short ways away. The cave was just be enough for them to be able to walk around the pool and have a fire blazing nearby. Several meters away, the wind could be heard howling outside.
Ember adjusted her clothing. She was wearing a brown bikini and a short brown loin cloth. She wasn't planning on doing any swimming but it was a precaution in case she needed to jump in. The water wasn't too bad, she dipped her toe in and shivered. For a Dragon it was lukewarm but to pony it might be just one level below burning.
She turned to Flurry Heart who was examining the pool as well. She was currently still wearing her broken cargo pants but had on a new white T-shirt. Ember gave her a slap on the back, "Alright Flurry, time to pay up and learn some new lessons. So let me lay down how this is going to work for the first dive."
Ember walked over to the edge, "I want you to use whatever magic or abilities you might have and retrieve one gemstone down there. Then bring it back up and hand it to me. We are going to start out easy then work our way to something harder as we go. Got it?"
Flurry Heart nodded. She went up to the edge, look down the pool and sighed, "Alright. Still bummed about missing out on that hot spring though."
Ember cocked her head, "You won't be worrying about that for much longer. I imagine this pool will be the next best thing for you?"
She raised an eyebrow but shrugged her shoulders when Ember didn't say more. She then put her hands on the bottom of her shirt, tucked her wings in and then quickly pulled it off. Her breasts bounced a bit with their freedom. Her pants were then pulled down, revealing a surprisingly lack of underwear. Flurry glanced down at her crotch. "Can't believe I forgot to put on underwear yesterday morning. Never was one for bras but come on, down there too? Guess it didn't really matter in the end."
As Flurry bent over to pick up her clothes and toss them to the side, Ember stepped over and gave Flurry a light slap on the ass. Flurry 'meeped' while Ember gave a casual grin, "Heh, you do a good job and I'll be sure to make it worth your while alright?"
Flurry Heart nodded, now slightly more determined. She took one big step then leaped into the pool. The hot water nearly caused her to cry out in surprise. It was very hot. Hotter than the hot springs from a few days ago by a lot.
She shot out of the water and ran for the enterance, "Hot... Hot... HOOOTTTT!"
She ran out the cave and rolled around in the snow for a bit. Then the arctic temperature hit her nude form.
"COLD! Cold... Very cold."
Ember watched as Flurry came sprinting back in and dove into the hot water. She sat back and waited as Flurry floated on the water, sighing. She began to look uncomfortable and went to get out again. Ember raised a claw to stop her, "If you plan on doing this all day, then you can forget about sleeping tonight. I want this done sometime this week preferably."
Ember huffed and sank back in the water. She hoped her body would get used to it eventually. She closed her eyes and slowly sank below the water.
Ember did her best to ignore the heat. She had spells for keeping her warm, not cool. But thankfully, after a few trips to the beach with her aunt Twilight, she did have a spell for underwater she could use. Flurry lit up her horn and produced a bubble of air around her head. Flurry took a deep breath to test the bubble and found clean air making its way into her lungs. She then opened her eyes fully.
She was hovering just below the water. Plenty of glowing gems to light her way. She grabbed onto some of them and used them to help push her towards the bottom.
She wasn't a good swimmer but she had the basics down thanks to Aunty Twilight. After a strong push, she soon found herself at the bottom, staring at the pile of gemstones just sitting her. Flurry grabbed one and held in up. It was surprisingly light but also glowed brightly. She held her breath and lit up her horn. The bubble popped and she used her wings to propel herself upwards quickly. The force was enough to have her breaching the surface in seconds.
She gripped the edge and slowly crawled out. Her wings shifted the water off of them and returned to their tucked in position against her back. She got to her hooves and handed the gem to Ember.
Ember licked her lips and gave the gem a nibble. "Yum, just as good as I remember. Now here comes the challenge."
Ember reached into her bag and pulled out a strange looking ring and a small bottle with a red glowing liquid in it. "I had Cadence help prepare these for your training. This stuff is not easy to come by but Cadence just happened to have both of this on hand. Apparently they are tied to some special evenings between her and Shining Armor."
Flurry rolled her eyes, "If it has anything to do with her crazy secret sex dungeon, than I don't want to know the specifics."
Ember seemed intrigued but chose to ignore it for now. "Right... So anyways, please take a small sip of this and put this ring on your horn."
Flurry did as she was told. She put the ring on first and immediately noticed something was off. She tried to lift the bottle with her magic but to no avail. It was as if a part of her had been blocked off. "A magic canceling ring?"
Ember nodded, "Better get used to it. I will be using it in future lessons. You can't always rely on your magic and some creatures are magic proof so its best to have the training to deal with the events where magic can't be used. Also..." Ember pointed to the bottle.
Flurry Heart uncorked it and took a quick swig of it. It took all of her will power not to immediately spit it out and even more to swallow it. Flurry Heart gasped, "What... What the heck was that?! Tasted like I was trying to a burned two moons old salad!"
Before Ember could answer, Flurry felt a burning sensation in her back. She shifted as the burning sensation went from uncomfortable to almost painful. Then there was the sensation of her wings going numb. Flurry reached back to check on them only to feel empty air. Flurry felt panic enter her system as she realized her back was completely bare. No wings...
"WHAT THE HELL!?"
Ember patted her bare back, "Relax, the potion just retreated them back into your DNA. You still have them but they aren't usable." Flurry did her best to take it all in while running her hands over every part of her back. It was like suddenly being without hands. It just didn't feel right.
"Ok, calm down now. Its just temporary. I need to get to work here or your going to have to drink more of that potion to make sure it lasts longer, got it?"
Flurry wanted to curl up in the fetal position. No wings... No magic. It just felt so wrong... Her mind just couldn't cope. She needed one or the other back right now. Flurry lifted her hands to remove the ring.
"Flurry!"
That snapped Flurry back into alertness. "Right... Sorry." Flurry put her hands back down. Ember put a hand on her shoulder. She gave Flurry a warm expression. She was going to be alright.
Flurry Heart took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "Alright. Just got to swim down and get the gem. Then I can get my magic and wings back."
Ember looked away for a second, "Eh, not quite. Got one more lesson after this one without them too. But I promise to make it interesting at least."
Flurry grumbled but relented. She kept trying to reach behind her back but the feeling of nothing there... It just felt so freaking wrong. Her best bet was to ignore it sure but that was the problem. Ignoring the fact that something wasn't there just made it feel weirder.
Flurry walked over and stood over the pool once again. "Fine... Whatever. I'll go get your gemstone." Flurry said it with a monotone voice. But even though the feeling of her abilities were gone, she was feeling a bit... Excited? It was a weird feeling to be sure. There was a thrill to this now. A bit more danger to this. This was like jumping off the castle with a parachute with her wings tied up. Something that she couldn't help but admit she did try once while looking for a good adrenaline rush.
Flurry jumped in but held on to the edge. She knew how to tread water but wanted to save her strength. She took a deep breath, closed her eyes and submerged.
She felt around and grasped the side again. Finding a gemstone to use as leverage. She opened her eyes and eyed her prize, slowly working her way towards it. She got about half way before her lungs began to ache. Deciding to not risk it, she swam back up and broke the surface again. Ember was sitting on the edge with her feet in the water. "A bit trickier now without magic or wings huh?"
Flurry Heart nodded, "It is but I think I can make it. I just have to get to the bottom faster."
Flurry held her breath and retreated back below the water. "I just need to keep my heart rate down. Be calm. Work my way down quickly but efficiently.
Flurry held onto one of the small gems poking out. She then leaned back, putting her hooves against the wall. She angled her body downwards as best she could and then, kicked off hard. She shot down the pool. Just as she was about to slow, she began to kick with her hooves. Her arm stretch out as she practically smashed into the pile. But she was able to grab one. She then glanced up. Lungs were starting to ache, need to get out now.
She looked to her left and saw a glowing crystal jutting out. Grabbing onto it, she pushed herself down, her hooves touching the ground next to the pile. She bent down as much as she could, then pushed off with all her might. She shot upwards and just as the air left her mouth, she surfaced. Flurry gasped for air and clung to the edge. She quickly pulled herself out, holding her prize in the air as she laid on her back.

Ember took the gem from her hand and examined it, "Nice work Flurry. You got this faster than I thought you would. Now comes the hard part, put lucky for you, you get to choose how this goes."
Flurry slowly got up into a sitting position as Ember sat next to her. "Alright Flurry, you can either do that again 10 more times, building up the strength of your lungs and body. Or just a single time more but with added danger of interference. What will you do?"

Ember stood up and walked over to her bag. "Oh that's something you'll have to find out on your own. Not to worry though, I'll rescue you before you find yourself in any real danger. Flurry, now getting her second wind, stood up. "I'll take the interference route."
Ember grinned, "Good, I was hoping you'd say that. Go ahead and get back in, you'll know when the interference will begin."
Flurry Heart shrugged and jumped back in. She made sure to take a big gulp of air before making the plunge though.
Once the bubbles around her cleared, she began to work her way down just like last time. She had just reached the bottom in record time when a shadow cast itself over hers. Flurry cocked her head and nearly let out her air when a claw reached around and groped her right breast. Flurry glanced back and saw that Ember was now naked, her breasts squishing against her back as she held onto her. "Ah, so this is what she meant. She army crawled out of the water and rested on her side for a moment. Her body felt tired and her mind felt empty.

Ember walked over and reached into Flurry's backpack. She produced a sleeping bag and some bottled water. "Then I'd recommend taking a rest. You earned it. You have done well today but tomorrow, I am taking you to a special cave where we will be covering stamina training. Be sure to drink plenty of water." Ember turned to Flurry Heart but she was already out cold. Ember sighed and placed the sleeping bag next to her. Rolling her onto it and then placed the bottle next to her.
"Now then, I am still hungry so if you'll excuse me..." With that, Ember dove back into the water. Peace returned to the cave and unbeknownst to the two, a creature that had been watching them silently. Its green eyes watched Flurry sleep silently. It soon slipped back into the darkness through a hole in the ceiling. Its dark body blending in completely with its surroundings.

Ember pushed through the blizzard as Flurry struggled behind her. They had been out doing some hiking and running exercises when the blizzard came out of nowhere. After struggling in vain to find the cave they had been staying at earlier, Ember decided it was best to move on and find some place else. "Come on," Ember called out, "I found another cave, its small but looks like it goes in a ways."
Flurry Heart followed. The blizzard battered and beat her, making it hard to see and even harder to move. After a few minutes of battling the storm, they soon came upon a cave with an a piece of wood on top of it. It was very old and almost impossible to see. But Flurry could make out what looked like the word, "Garden." It was written in an old Pony language though. Guess those classes her mom taught were worth something after all.
Ember marched right in and once the howl of the wind died down behind her, Flurry decided to ask about the sign. "Ember, I don't understand. I thought no pony lived out here other than the Crystal Empire."
Ember glanced around the cave. She picked up a large stick, reached in her bag and produced a chunk of cloth. She wrapped it around the end and lit it on fire with some Dragon breath. Once light was brought to the cave she turned to Flurry. The magic suppression ring glinted against the glow of the fire. "Before Sombra took over, there were supposedly colonies that had existed outside of the kingdom. They soon were abandoned when the kingdom disappeared. A lot of history was lost due to this."
Ember turned and started walking again, "At least, that is what Cadence told me." Ember shifted the snow off her cloak. She was wearing her black cloak again with a brown robe underneath. The top was opened slightly allow for some cleavage to be seen.
Flurry adjusted her hoodie, while also trying to shift around her sweat pants. The warmth spell she used allowed her to wear something like this out in the tundra. At least, it would if Ember would let her use it. Instead, she had to learn to fight back the cold with what she had. Which wasn't much. Just light fur and clothes, that's it.
She shook the snow off, glad the cold would no longer be bothering her for awhile. She reached back, instinctively wanting to preen her wings only to find nothing behind her. Another training device devised by her mother and Ember. A potion that got rid of her wings temporarily. It didn't feel natural and Ember had to almost shove the potion down her throat any time she was forced to use it.
It was supposed to make her stronger. Ember kept telling her she relied to much on her wings and magic. "Hey Ember, I don't suppose..."
Ember put up a claw, "Hold up. Do you hear that?"
Flurry stopped and listened. There was the sound of the wind howling back outside but other than that, the cave was silent.
"Just the wind."
Ember glanced behind her then back up ahead. "I sounded like movement up ahead, but I can't hear it any more."
Both creatures moved forward, slowly, not saying a word. Their senses on high alert, they trudged through the cave. It twisted like a snake until they came to a clearing. A large room that did not seem to make much sense.
Fresh green grass grew around a clear blue pond in the middle. Four trees sat in a square like formation at the edge, growing around and through the cave. Their leaves appeared pink for some reason. Vines hung from the walls and a yellow crystal glowed softy in the middle of the ceiling. It felt warm in the cave, like the crystal was giving off some sort of heat. In the far back sat a small wooden door. The years had not been kind to it though as vines could be seen coming out of the cracks and the hinges appeared too rusted to allow the door to move even if attempted to be open.
Ember set down her torch and slowly walked up to examine the pond. Flurry walked over and put a hand on the tree. There was no doubt, it was real. The grass was too and judging from Ember's astonished look, so was the pond. Flurry leaned up against the tree and looked up. Pink leaves fluttered down onto the ground around her.
"Ember... What is this place?"
Ember set her bag down next to the pond. "I think, it used to be someone's garden. Like a village botanical garden or something. That crystal seems to be giving off energy, just like the sun. Despite not having anyone to take care of it for hundred's of years, it has managed to remain self sufficient. I'm not gonna lie... Its kind of pretty."
Flurry nodded, "So... Do you think it is alright to stay here?'
Ember glanced around, "Well, it seems safe enough. Can't get over the idea that we are being watched but that might just be paranoia."
Flurry walked over and set her bag down next to Ember, "Should we get a fire going?"
Ember shook her head, "No, might upset whatever balance this place has and its clearly warm enough for the plants to survive. This is place is... Weird. Like there should be something here keeping everything alive but the only thing here are plants."
Both creatures stared up at the trees before sitting down and just gazing silently around them. A bit of mist began to seep off the pond as Flurry felt something poke against her hand. Flurry looked down and almost jumped out of her fur as a green snake looking thing nipped at her hand. "Ah!"
Flurry scooted away as Ember let out a small chuckle, "Heh. I guess we aren't the only ones hanging around."
"It bit me!"
Ember shook her head, "It just gave you a small nip to make sure you are alright. Judging by its green color, it should be alright. Probably just a large garden snake."
Flurry followed its tail until it disappeared behind the tree. "That's a pretty long garden snake!"
Ember opened her claw and the snake slithered over to her. It gave a small nip then seemed to rest there. "That's right, we mean you no harm. Just taking a break and needed to unwind for a bit."
Flurry shook her head, a strange feeling seeping into her mind. "Uh... Ember. Are you sure that snake didn't have any poison?"
Ember glanced over at Flurry as she felt a growing heat begin to fill her mind and body. "Oh... Buck... I've gotten too complacent lately. I think I know what these are. I should have realized it as soon as I saw the vines." Ember shook her head as her mind began to feel cloudy.
Flurry shook her head as the warmth in her body began to spread. "What is it?"
Ember looked around and noticed the vines beginning to move. "A better question is, what are they? And to answer that, they are a known as the Flower Eater."
Flurry's body began to feel hotter. She let out a deep breath and took off her sweat shirt. Her breast jiggled slightly as her white shirt came into view. "Flower Eater? That does't sound too bad."
Ember tried to stand only to fall to her knees. "Yes and no. It won't eat us but it will be tasting our fluids soon enough. Best to just let it have its way with you. Fighting it will only tire you out more. And besides..."

Its job is to relieve its prey of those fluids while making sure to keep them happy in hopes they might return for more. A sort of process that makes it so the plant will never take more than it needs and allows its prey to remain unharmed."
Ember turned over slowly got to her claws and knees, and crawled her way over to the pond. Ember raised an eyebrow as she got a good look at Ember's sex and ass as she went over. Both of us are in no condition to be traveling. I am sore and that is saying a lot coming from someone like me. Knowing you, I would imagine you can barely move."
Flurry rolled her eyes and attempted to show her wrong until she realized that her legs couldn't quite move and her arms were struggling as well. Her head was the only movable thing on her body. "Ok, you are right. I can't move." She said it in such a defeated tone that Ember couldn't help but chuckle.
"Heh, don't worry Flurry, just means that it worked you hard and eventually you will have the stamina to take on anything. Our next lesson will involve strength and building fast reflexes. So I am going to need you at full health before we begin anyways."
Flurry glanced around and realized that the vines were gone. "What about the plant?"
Ember began to scrub the green liquid off her breasts, "Hibernating. Needs to conserve energy, after all, it doesn't get much visitors so we won't be seeing it again for awhile."
"Oh... So, how do you feel about helping me bathe?"
Ember chuckled again, "Sure but don't start complaining if I start to feeling frisky again while we do it."
Flurry grinned, "I'm still horny as heck, I would be disappointed if we didn't."
Both creatures laughed as two green eyes watched them from the entrance. It seems to ponder them for a moment before it slipped back into the shadows. A blaze of green flame erupted as a snake slithered quickly away.

Ember sat up and brushed herself off. She was wearing a button up shirt and shorts. Cadence had given her the ensemble, something about needing to wear this when she finds a place full of traps. Even came with a weird looking round hat with three holes in it but she decided it wasn't worth trying to fit it around her horns. Despite a few close calls, her clothes managed to make it through with only a few rips and tears here and there. Flurry got a similar ensemble... However...
"So... I am starting to notice a trend here while traveling with you."
Ember glanced over at Flurry Heart who slowly got to her hooves, "Oh? And what would that be Flurry?"

Flurry relaxed a bit and nodded her head. Ember removed her claw. "Alright, first possibility: I just fly back over to the Crystal Empire, load up on more clothes and fly back. A simple trip, I'll be gone a few hours tops."
Flurry nodded her head slowly, "Yeah... I've known you long enough... What's the catch?"
Ember smirked, "Flying back takes a lot out of me and having to go there and back means that I will be out of commission while I get my strength back. This kind of cold mixed with northern winds isn't kind to cold blooded creatures like me. My internal flame can only get me so far. "
"This means that you will be responsible for both training and taking care of me for the next several days. And that means working your body to the max and then some. Spending each day looking for supplies and Gems to keep me satisfied. While also doing strength and speed exorcises. Can't have you going soft on me when we are now past the half way point on your training."
Flurry visibly flinched as the images of what insanity would occur over the next few days if she went with that. It was already taxing just trying to keep up with her training. Taking care of Ember would be something on a whole other level.

Ember's grinned and nodded as both her and Flurry knew this was most likely the option she would be going with.

Flurry ducked behind a large rock as she neared the Empire. Ember's words of encouragement as well as reward still fresh in her mind. "All you have to do is sneak into the castle, grab some clothes and get out without anyone noticing. This will be great for stealth training. And once you get back here, I will promise you three full days of whatever you want. Consider it a mini vacation."
Flurry smiled; the idea of spending time just enjoying some of the more fun caves she had visited so far just sounded so freaking good. Not to mention, sure beat the alternative. However, there was one caveat that Flurry did not see coming. On top of having to stay out of sight, she also had to deal with a certain heat in her loins.
A poison needle had managed to get her while working through some traps earlier. Despite her alicorn body giving her high resistances, it only prolonged its effects until just a bit ago. Though while lessened and probably not working quite as intended, it was still something that was effecting her to seemingly no end.
Now hot and extremely horny, she was going to have to deal with that and try to stay out of line of sight. Flurry put a finger between her legs, trying the scratch that awful itch for a moment while she thought about what kind of spell to use.   
Thankfully, Ember had allowed her to remove the ring so she could cast her anti freezing spell on herself. She still had no wings, but it at least gave her some advantage. She didn't have any teleportation or invisibility spells, but she did have at least of few useful things at her disposal.
Removing her finger, deciding there would be time to deal with this later, Flurry went over in her mind what to start with. She shook the mare cum off of it as her mind began to piece together a good possibility to start out with. While also taking into account that she had to be careful. She could only cast so many spells before it would start to drain her physically after all.
She lit up her horn and after a moment of concentration, cast a radar spell. Something to give her a heads up in case someone was getting near. It was wasn't always super reliable as higher level unicorns can mask their presence easy, as well as possibly pick up on it. But to a normal crystal pony, it should suffice.
Flurry shifted the only bit of clothing she had; her small magical backpack. She made sure it was on tight before sprinting inside the magical shield that protected her home. It was easy for her to breach it as she was a resident. Spells placed on trains could allow entry but for several years now, normal entry had been difficult for those hoping to just casually walk in.
Mostly it had to do with Dragons but it seems that it had done little to impede their progress for whatever reason. Might have something to do with there tough scales being able to penetrate it easy.
Flurry dove behind a nearby building and waited. Her horn did not pick anything up outside and she could not hear anything. Hoping the coast was clear, she sprinted down an alleyway and glanced up. It was night time. Close to Midnight judging by the moons position.
Good. This would give her the best chance at getting in and out unnoticed.
Flurry ran across a road and found herself in a small park. A voice caught her attention as she slide into a nearby bush.
"I'm just saying, no one is going to see us. Our parents don't know we are out. Surely one little make out session wouldn't hurt."
"Oh... Um... I guess..."
Flurry rolled her eyes, "Great, two horny teens. Hopefully I can slip past them."

"Fine... Whatever." The sounds of two sets of hooves moving away allowed Flurry to relax but she did not dare move a muscle. Flurry held her breath until the two ponies left, the sound of their hooves getting softer as they walked down the street.
The young alicorn rose from her hiding spot and looked around. "That was close. Hope these spikes aren't going to become a thing."
Flurry removed her hand, surprised to see it so drenched. That poison was really having a strong effect on her. Flurry lifted her hand up and gave it a sniff. She cocked her head and even gave her hand a small lick.
Flurry blinked, realizing her mind was already starting to drift. Shaking herself out of her horny impulses, Flurry wiped her hand on the ground and started jogging away from the park.
Flurry hopped from alleyway to alleyway. Running from street to street. Thankfully no pony else seemed to be out late in this part of town so it didn't take long till she soon neared the castle. Thankfully no more spikes in between though the warm feeling told her it was far from over. Now came the hard part.
Her castle was not easy feat to get into. Guards were stationed at each entrance and more patrolled the hallways at night.  
Although she knew some of them, getting caught like this wasn't an option. She was going to have to use some strategy.
Flurry stood silently watching. The guards didn't move much or too far from their stations. That gave her some blind spots to work with. There was one side of the castle with a window towards the lower section that was open. If she could crawl up the side, she could get in through that.
She looked around for something to hide behind that was closer to the castle and spotted Spike's crystal statue. The tales of his heroics were almost a legend at this point. What with saving the kingdom, several times, and even helping save Equestria alongside Aunty Twilight. To her he was a long time friend, to everyone else, he was practically a celebrity.
Flurry quickly but quietly ran to the giant Spike statue and dove behind it. Suddenly, a spike hit her causing her to gasp as liquids began to pour down her leg. Flurry panted slightly as she ran a hand over her moist entrance. "No... Not now."
"Did you hear something?"
"Yeah, let's check it out."
Flurry glanced up and saw to guards walking towards her. "Crap!"
Flurry looked down. Hoping to find something to help distract the guards. Unfortunately, it seemed that the yard workers were doing well to keep up the pristine look of the empire. "No rocks? Ah common!"
The sounds of hoof steps were getting closer. Flurry could feel her radar going nuts as they drew near. Flurry remembered something Aunty Twilight had taught her. It flashed through her mind as if her brain was screaming at her to use it. It wasn't the most effective spell and she had screwed it up in the past a lot... In fact, she had never really gotten it down. But it was her best option right now.
She concentrated on her body. A magical aura began to surround it. Soon it covered her entire body. Flurry held her breath as the two ponies came up on either side of her. They looked right at her but seemed confused. They shook their heads, like they were struggling to focus on something.
After unsuccessfully getting their eyes to focus, both looked up at each other. "Guess it was nothing."
"I think its just lack of sleep. Thought I saw a naked woman for a second there. Wouldn't be surprised if we were hearing things as well."
"Really? Looked like a ghost to me."
Both moved away as their conversation turned to idle chit chat about ghosts and woman.
Flurry let out the breath she was holding and pumped the air with her fist. "Yes, first successful Perception Spell! Can't wait to show Aunty Twilight later."
Flurry stood up, wiped her sticky hand on the statue's base and casually walked over to the right corner legging that was holding the castle up. She gripped the sides and cast a climbing spell that would allow her to easily grip the shear clean wall. As she began to climb, she could feel her perception spell starting to fade. "Oh no... Not now!"
"Hey Lock? Are you seeing this? Looks like a strange liquid running down the wall."
Flurry held her breath again as she quickened her pace towards the window. A warm sensation was coming back to her crotch in full force. She could feel juices fall from her body as she went, some of it draining down the side of the wall. She practically dove into the window, just in time to hear someone outside yell, "Hey! Careful about spilling drinks alright? This stuff isn't easy to clean you know!"

A quick glance told her that the guards had returned to their posts. Her perception spell had just ended once she entered the window. It was a very close call to be sure.
Flurry let out a sigh of relief as she leaned again the wall next to the window. Her hand traveled south as she began to work her fingers, trying to state the burning feeling that was causing her pussy to run like a crick after a damn had been broken.
"Ahh, that's the spot."
Just then a big thump noise came from just above her. Realizing this probably wasn't the best place to relax, Flurry did her best to ignore that stupid poison for now and work on getting to her room. She considered finding a good wardrobe to finger off into but decided it was best to get to her room before she got caught. Making her escape would be better with clothes then without. Wiping her hand on the floor, Flurry looked around, trying to decide on which way to take down the long hallway.
She slowly got up and made her way down the hall to her right. Her radar told her that there was nopony on this floor but that there were two guards just above her. As she neared a spiral staircase, she stopped and waited for the guard ponies to pass. After waiting for a few good minutes, she made a quick climb up, heading up through several floors until she came to the one that had her room.
Flurry took a look around and was glad to see that no guards were around, however, her radar was acting weird for some reason. There were clearly some ponies up on this floor, most likely her parents as their room was just down the hallway but there were others too. But not guards though.
Flurry crept along until she saw her parents bedroom. The door was shut but the sounds of sex could be heard coming though. No surprise there. Although it did sound like there was an orgy happening in there. Multiple grunts and moans from clearly different voices. After thinking for a little bit, she also decide to take out a gift Aunty Twilight had given her a long time ago. It was a vile full of a glowing blue substance. Flurry smiled as she remembered how insistent she was about its use. Only for emergencies she had said. One should never rely on these too often. Aunty Twilight always did seem to worry too much. She slipped it in and then tested the weight. It seemed her training was paying off. It didn't feel all that heavy at all. She slipped it off again and looked around, checking to make sure she had everything she needed.
After making sure she was ready and satisfied with what she had, Flurry grabbed the top part of her bag with her hand. She was about to leave when her radar suddenly went berserk... Then turned off on its own. Flurry felt her heart skip a beat. She dropped her bag at her hooves as she tried to think of a good place to hide. But there was no time to move.
The door to her room was opening. Flurry tried to cast her Perception Spell... Only for it to fail. "I guess I can't get that lucky twice."
Flurry was expecting to see some guards or even her parents... Luna and Celestia were very far down on that list.
Celestia and Luna entered wearing nothing but bath robes. Luna wore a black one that hugged her rather athletic looking form. Celestia took a step forward and put a hand on Luna's shoulder, "Cadence told us about your little adventure with Dragon Lord Ember. She said you weren't supposed to be back for a few more weeks and considering her tone, I am to understand she has yet to learn you are back yet. So I think an explanation is in order."
Flurry slouched over, feeling defeated and guilty while not having really done anything wrong. Guess that just comes with the territory of dealing with a Moon and Sun goddess.
"Can I put some pants on or...?"
Luna shook her head, "Explanation now or we are taking you to Cadence. Make a choice Flurry. As of right now, your sneaking around is rather... Suspicious."
Celestia cocked her head to side slightly, "I would also like to know what happened to your wings?"
"Ember's crazy awful tasting potion used for training..." Flurry said bluntly with a dash of disdain in her voice.
Celestia raised her eyebrow at Luna, "I seem to recall Starswirl using such a potion on us at one point during our training. Interesting to see it has managed to survive the test of time. Please Flurry, continue."
Flurry let out a long sigh, "Right... So this is what happened. I have been traveling for weeks, dealing with all sorts of training mishaps. For some reason, I can't seem to keep my clothes on. And no, its not because I am banging everything I see... Though there has been some banging going on but that's besides the point!"
It was Luna's turn to raise an eyebrow, but allowed Flurry to continue. "After many weeks of constantly loosing my clothes, be it them getting burned, ripped, torn, stretched, drowned, and even shredded by crazy traps... I ran out and Ember sent me back here to get more. She made it a mission by having me do it in secret. So that's why I was using the radar spell. I never imagined that anypony would be able to pick up on it. I'm sorry."
Flurry bowed and took a deep breath. She waited, unsure of what was going to happen next. She glanced up and saw that both princesses were struggling not to laugh. After catching her questioning look, both erupted into a fit of laughter.
"Hehhahah... Ah... Oh dear... So its that kind of adventure. Oh... Miss Daring is going to have a field day when she hears about this."
Flurry cocked her head slightly, very confused.
Luna shook her head, "Oh that takes me back. We really need to hook up with her again some time."
Flurry straightened up. "So... What is going on exactly?"
Luna moved forward and put a hand on Flurry's shoulder. "You aren't in any trouble. We understand. We will keep your visit here a secret. You aren't the only one who has found herself in crazy nude predicaments while out on an adventure. Ember's idea of a stealth mission was a good one and I have to say, I am happy to see she is making plenty of progress with you."

Celestia crossed her arms and sighed, "Poor thing is clearly exhausted. Yes, we shall teleport her to Ember's location but lets just make sure its at the mouth of whatever cave she is staying at. After all, we promised to keep this a secret."
Luna nodded. "Alright, I'll send her on her way now. Maybe add something to alert Ember that she is nearby. I am sure she'll take care of Flurry from there."
Celestia smiled and made sure to grab Flurry's bag. She slid it onto Flurry using her magic and then, with Luna's help, sent her on her way with a flash.
No more than a second later, the door to Flurry's door opened. "There you both are." Cadence exclaimed.
Dressed in nothing but a bath robe, Cadence strode over to princesses. "I was beginning to wonder what had happened to you both... Did something happen?"
Luna shook her head and got up from Flurry's bed, she bent down and picked up her robe. "Nothing to critical, just needed to discuss something with Celestia in private for a moment."
Cadence let out a sigh of relief. "Good... Now, I believe we all have a large bath with our names on it. Lets go enjoy the rest of our evening."
Both princesses nodded and casually walked out. Cadence turned to join them but stopped and looked around the room. She let out a small sigh. "Flurry Heart... I don't know why but... I have a feeling your journey is coming to an end soon. I hope you are ready and doing well. See you soon."
Cadence shook her head and left the room, quickly closing the door behind her.

Flurry Heart let out a small coo as she relaxed in the warm spring water. A towel was wrapped around her breasts down to her waist while another wrapped around her mane. She gave a quick stretch of her wings, glad to have them back. Ember, sitting next to her wearing a towel around just her waist, had her arms casually resting behind her head, eyes closed. "You know Flurry Heart, this is last night before we get back to your training. Are you sure this is how you want to spend it?"
Flurry nodded enthusiastically. "Yes! This is the closest I have felt to hanging out at the spa in ages." Flurry sank lower into the water. "I haven't felt more relaxed and ready to take on anything in such a long time." Flurry re-positioned her towel a bit. "You even went along with the towels. If I close my eyes, I can almost imagine myself with Aunty Twilight; hanging out at the Ponyville Spa while visiting her."
Ember gave a small chuckle. "Well, I did say I would go along with anything. Even I have to admit you probably needed all this with how I found you a few days ago. Passed out and so exhausted you spent most of your first day off just sleeping."
Flurry looked away for a second. "Uh yeah... I barely even remember the walk back."
Ember noticed Flurry seemed to be hiding something but decided to let it go for now. "So..." Ember scooted closer. "I've got some plans for tomorrows training. You've come a long way in the several weeks we've been out here. So I was thinking..."
Just then, a breeze blew past. Flurry shivered and sunk deeper into the spring, her head just inches about the water. Ember glanced in the direction in came from. Her eye's locked briefly with a pair of green eyes. She blinked and the green eyes were gone. Ember scanned the cave, seeing no sign of any creature. No more than a few seconds later passed before Ember felt a cough force its way out as green flames danced from her mouth. A bound rolled up letter formed and dropped right in front of her. Ember had to scramble to catch it before it hit the water.
Flurry glanced over, unsure of what she just witnessed. Ember carefully unrolled and read the note. She then looked over at Flurry who was giving her an odd look. "Its a system Cadence had me become a part of for emergencies."
Ember handed the note over to Flurry who caught it with her magic, not wanting her wet hands to ruin the paper. "So was that some sort of spell just now?"
"Yeah, apparently its a delivery system that Spike had been a part of now for several years. Celestia used to send him letters this way. It was a way to send and return messages instantly. Dragon fire messaging is supposedly the most secure way to send information across. Less of a chance of it getting intercepted unlike magical transport or by hand delivery."
Flurry nodded, made enough sense. She scanned the letter addressed to Ember.
"Ember, I hope your training is coming along well. Both Shining and I have been doing our best to keep busy. Not having Flurry around has been strange to say the least. Knowing she is out there becoming a better warrior does fill me with pride though.
As much as I want her to continue to train until you are sure she is ready, outside factors have deemed it necessary to test her sooner than I am sure your or I would like. Not by my choice but by another threat to our Crystal Empire. Another Dragon has been spotted. Or to be more precise, has flown directly over out city. Thankfully it was night time when it happened so less immediate panic. But it does have everyone on lock down and on edge. Our royal bank has found that several large gems have gone missing. A large hole in the roof far more than apparent of what might of happened to them.
Our scouts have found its cave but were ill equipped to do more. I am leaving the description of the cave on the back of this letter. I hope Flurry is ready but I feel confident that she will be under your care. Good luck to you and make sure to tell Flurry how we are all rooting for her back home."

Ember gestured to Flurry's body, "You have been doing my training well and have yet to back down despite all that I have asked of you. Now look at yourself. Really look at yourself."

"You are now faster, stronger and have the instinct of a warrior. I am sure you will find that your magic, which is effected just like your body, will be slightly stronger too. Magic is conjured through the body and a strong body and mind will allow for slightly stronger magic. Or at least, that's what Twilight would tell me from time to time. Usually, there would be somepony else involved whenever she would drop that on me... But I think it still stands."
Flurry looked over herself, now that she was thinking more about it, she did feel stronger in a way. Ember suddenly jumped and swung a high kick at Flurry. The young alicorn raised her right hand and caught it, causing Ember to have to catch herself with her wings. Flurry let go and Ember righted herself. She gave nod. She then threw a punch that Flurry easily dodged and even managed to get a jab at Ember. Ember managed to twist her body and dodge but it was a close shave. She held out a hand and smiled. Flurry was about to come at Ember again but stopped and dropped her arms.
Ember suddenly got up very close. Flurry locked eyes with Ember and she felt there towels fall to the ground as Ember pushed her body up against hers. Both their breasts squishing against each other. Ember leaned forward and locked her lips with Flurry.
Flurry for her part, could only go a long with it as her brain sputtered trying to keep up. The kiss did not last long though as Ember soon broke it, leaving Flurry dumbfounded with a bit of saliva leaking down her mouth. "Uhhh..."
Ember smiled, "That was for a job well done. And to show how proud I am of you."
Ember then jumped to the side turned and spanked Flurry's ass hard enough to make a small echo. Flurry felt her cheeks go bright red. "Yow!"
"And that," Ember leaned forward and whispered into Flurry's ear, "Is to remind you that you still have much to learn."
Flurry could only slowly nod as Ember grinned before turning and heading over towards the fire they had built. "Better hit the hay soon Flurry, we head for that dragon at dawn." She called over her shoulder.
Flurry, finally managing to jump-start her brain again, grabbed her towels and turned to follow her. She silently watched as Ember crept up into her sleeping bag. She was sure that Ember was purposefully giving her an eye full of what lied beneath her lovely tail. But soon it was quickly covered as Ember cosied up under the blanket portion of the sleeping bag. Flurry rolled her eyes, made sure she was dry enough before slipping into her own sleeping bag. Now with just the sound of the crackling fire and the distant sound of the wind howling outside, Flurry could feel her mind drifting. She was nervous for tomorrow.
After everything she and Ember had been through, this was going to be the most intense. But Ember seemed confident that she was ready. It also dawned on her that her nights with Ember may be coming to an end soon. After spending so much time with her, Flurry could not imagine spending a night without her. If this was going to be one of her last nights with Ember, Flurry decided she was going to make the best of it.
Ignoring every part of her brain telling her not to, Flurry slowly left her sleeping bag and crawled over to Ember. She held her wings tightly against her back as she slowly lifted the blanket part and slid in next to Ember. Flurry held her breath, waiting for Ember to kick her out, instead, she felt a claw draw her in closer.
"Got to say Flurry, figured it would be me doing this first. I am not one for cuddling but..."
Flurry turned and put her arm over Embers stomach. She put her head on Ember's shoulder. "I have a feeling that one way or another, this will be out last few nights together. I just want to make sure they are memorable. I just can't imagine spending my time without you at this point."
"Nothing last forever Flurry. That's the first thing you learn about being a Dragon." Ember put a claw on Flurry's lower back.  
"Once we are done with this Dragon, the princess will want a full report and we are going to be going our separate ways afterwards. I can't leave Spike to take care of the Dragon Kingdom forever."
Flurry winced, "I know that. But... I just don't think I can go back to the way things were after all this."
Ember chuckled, "Trust me, they won't. You are going to be part of the next generation of heroes. Just you wait. And when that adventure sends you my way, I look forward to seeing you."
"I am going to come visit often too. I am not going to wait for Equestria's next end of the world scenario to lead me to seeing you again."
"Flurry, have you seen where we live?! That's going to happen more often then you think... But I get what you are saying. And I can't wait to show you around my homeland."
Flurry smiled, "Then that will be my next adventure."
Ember snaked her hand down and gave Flurry's ass a quick squeeze. This causing Flurry to let out a small, "Meep."
"Hey, don't forget, we still have an unruly dragon to deal with. This current adventure isn't over just yet. So make sure you keep your head out of the clouds tomorrow alright?"
Flurry felt her mind going blank as her consciousness began to drift. "Yeah... I pro... I promise." Flurry gave a small yawn.
Ember felt Flurry go limp slightly as her breathing became low and shallow. Ember gave a warm smile as her thoughts turned towards the future. Her own mind slowly drifting off into the night.

This chapter has been sitting at 90% done for awhile now. Been working on another story but decided to at least finish this chapter finally before going back to it. Hope you enjoyed and let me know what you think in the comments.
