Some of the strings of fate that bind us are obvious while many others are impossible to see.

In the remote reaches of northern Equestria a chance meeting with a certain purple unicorn awakens the courage in a young Sage Quill to seek his dreams for adventure. The twists and turns of his life will lead him all over Equestria and beyond, setting events into motion that may vastly change more lives than he intended.

As the machinations of world politics shift towards war, elements within Equestria's own borders may prove to be the greatest threat to peace.
