Author's Note

Alright, there are some action 'scenes' in this chapter involving some shooting, I have never written that part before. If you all think it's crap, you all know why.

I will try and make the next chapter longer.

Knuckle Dragger

Mac and his ‘companied’ had just left Claptrap’s house and where hunting a Bullymong named Knuckle Dragger, who had stolen the robot’s eye.

“Even though Knuckle Dragger blindsided me, I know my way around this glacier. I bet ya we’ll find me eye in in Frostbite Crevasse.” Said Claptrap as he rolled around in the blind.

As they walked, Mac watch as Claptrap crashed into the clump, he could say to the robot that he was about to crash into something, but it was too much fun just let it happen.

Then the woman appeared in front Mac again. “Stick close to the robot, he will help you off this glacier, and into the city of Sanctuary. That is the only place you will be safe.” She then disappeared again.

Mac tried to ask her again. “Just who are you lady?” She still didn't answer him.

“Did you say something minion?” Claptrap asked him.

Mac shook his head. “It was nothing, let’s just find this Knuckle Dragger already.”

One the way they past something that looked like a container but it walls was gone Mac looked inside the container and saw that a yellow sniper rifle lining there, he picked it up and studied a few times, it was in fine shape. Mac place the rifle on his back.

Then they arrived at a dead end. “What now?” Mac asked Claptrap.

Claptrap never got the chance to answer, they both heard Bullymong coming towards them. “Ahhh! I hear Bullymongs! Sic’em minion.” Said Claptrap while waving his arms. “PROTECT ME, SQUIRE!”

Mac took out his pistol. ‘I really wish he would stop calling me minion.’ Mac saw three Bullymong, that was a little smaller then Knuckle Dragger. All of them was on top of the glacier, he aimed the gun and fired a few rounds and managed to hit one of them. The reaming two jump down and charge Mac, he fired the gun again and manged to hit the second, Mac was about to fires again but was out of bullets. The third one charge him, Mac had to roll away from the attack. He managed to chance the magazine to the gun, he fire again and fell the last Bullymong.

Mac tried to catch his breath, but he never got the chance, as soon as he had killed the three Bullymong’s, two new once destroyed an ice wall came towards him. Mac sat up and fired some few shouts towards them and he hit the straight in the face, they went down very quickly. When they weren’t moving, Mac could finally catch his breath. This wasn’t the first time he had killed, he did it on the train and something told him that it wasn’t going to be the last time.

“Let’s go! If we don’t get my eye back, we’ll NEVER get to Sanctuary.” Said Claptrap while rolling towards a small cliff, He fell down.

Mac didn’t care anymore, he just got up and followed Claptrap through the hole in the ice wall. They keep walking through the ice landscape.

As the walk, Mac could fell the ground shaking. “Ughhh, AGAIN?! Jack’s tearing Pandora apart to find the Vault. They say Jack’s drilling operations are causing those earthquakes.” Mac didn’t want to know what Jack was using to make a hole planet to tremble. “That, or mom just got outta bed. ZING!” Claptrap was going to pay for what he said about Mac’s mother.

Then the woman appeared, again. “You’ll need that funny little robot’s help to reach Sanctuary, the last bastion of the resistance against Jack, and the only place you will be truly safe. Get to Sanctuary.” Then she disappeared, again. At his pointed, Mac didn’t bother to listen. When he got the chance, he would have a chat with this woman.

Eventually they arrived at Frostbite Crevasse and something that looked like a giant ship frozen in the ice. Claptrap, who can’t see, fell down the cliff in front of them and got stuck in the snow. Mac jumped down and landed not far from the robot, he saw Claptrap struggling to get up, Mac wanted to help but he found it funny.

He was about to help the robot when Bullymong’s came out form holes in the ice wall. Mac took out his gun and started to fire towards them.

“Hey! What’s that noise? Are you fighting?” Claptrap asked Mac

“Yes, I am fighting and if you don’t want to die, you’ll shut the hell up.” Mac answered the robot.

Mac managed to kill the four off then, but then a bigger one charge him and that was a little tougher then the small once. It took more bullets to kill it but eventually he killed it.

“Great, now get me outta here before more Bullymongs arrive.” Mac wasn’t about to argue with what Claptrap said, he has seen enough of those things. Mac grabbed and yanked him out of the snow. “Many thanks, friend of friends. Onward!”

Mac was about to follow Claptrap, when he saw Jack pop up. “Hey, kiddo. Jack here. President of Hyperion? Let me explain how things work here. Vault Hunter shows up. Vault Hunter looks for the new vault. Vault Hunter gets killed. By me. Y’see, you seein’ the problem here? You’re still alive. So, if you could just do me a favor and off yourself, that would be great. Thanks, pumpkin.” Then Jack was gone.

“When I get my hands on your neck, we will see who dies.” Mac said with anger in his voice.

The first time Mac saw Jack was on the train, when he and the other Vault Hunter had managed to defeat the Hyperion’s robot and henchmen, they were meet by a Jack doll that had dynamite strap on it and before they could do anything, it explode. Mac then woke up in the snow, not knowing what had happened to the others Hunter.

After that memory, Mac saw Claptrap roll up a container. “And open.” Mac followed the robot through the container, they arrived at the open place. “Oh! My eye just switched back on! I see a tough looking minion, and an incredibly handsome robot, which means that whoever has my eye…” Then Claptrap decided to hide himself in his own body?

Then they both heard a roar and Mac could see the same Bullymong that took Claptrap eyes.

Knuckle Dragger; This is gonna hurt.

Knuckle Dragger then threw a car towards Mac, the pony Hunter had to jump of out of the way so wasn’t crushed by the car. “That’s it, I am sick of this.” Mac took out the gun and started to fire shots towards the giant Bullymong, he managed to get some hits, but it looked like it didn’t do much damaged. Then Knuckle Dragger charge Mac and he had no time to doge, Mac flew into the ice wall, back first.

Mac felt the impact and it hurt, he fell to the ground, face first. Mac looked up at Knuckle and he was pissed off. “Alright, now I am angry.” Mac got up and ran towards Knuckle, he then jump up into the air and hit the giant Bullymong right in the face. Knuckle Dragger staggered backwards, he felt that. Knuckle was about to charge again, but then he saw a gun barrel right in his face. “Nothing personal.” Mac fired of four shots right in the face of his opponent, Knuckle went down and died.

“Woohoo! If you would, retrieve me eye for me. Oh, and I apologize for saying ‘wall sphincters’. I say that a lot when I’m frighten.” Mac didn’t hear him say that, Mac picked up the eyes from Knuckle Dragger hand and put the eye in one of his pockets.

“Got my eye? Great! Now we just gotta find someone to put it back into me. Much as I’m sure YOU’D like to jam your fist into my skull, optic surgery is best left to professionals. My pal Hammerlock in Liar’s Berg can fix me up! Allons-y!” Mac was not keen to help Claptrap so he was glad that someone ells could do it.

They both then climb the hill to get to the crashed ship on top of the ice. “Liar’s Berg’s on the other side of this Hyperion barge. What say we cut through it, chum?” Claptrap then rolled over to the barge to try and get it opened. “Ha! This door’s Hyperion tech, child’s play” Aaaaaand open!” Then Claptrap was scanned.

“Intruders detected. Locking door.” Said a female voice, then the door was lock.

“Nice work you idiot.” Said Mac while slapping a hand on his face.

Claptrap just ‘looked’ at the door. “Well, it was nice knowing ya. I hear getting eaten by alive by Bullymongs isen’t such a bad way to go!” Mac couldn’t help but think how pathetic this robot was.

Then the woman appeared again. “Let me get that for ya. Executing phase shift.” Mac heard some weird noises and then the door opened. “You’re welcome! Perks of being an artificial intelligence. I’m networked into almost everything on this planet.” Mac walked in as saw some boxes, which assumed contained ammo and money. “It’s a long way to Sanctuary, please take whatever you need for the journey ahead.” And she disappeared.

Up from the floor came a giant box, Mac walked over to it and pushed a button that was glowing, then the box opened and revealing a shout gun. Mac couldn’t help but smile when saw the shout gun, he had lost his when the train explode, and he was glad he finally found a replacement. He lifted it up so he could feel how it felt in his hands, it felt perfect. He aimed the shout gun towards the wall, and it felt good.

“Let me know when you are ready to meet with Sir Hammerlock, minion.” Mac was going to have a talk with Claptrap when his eye was working again.

Mac place the shout gun on his back with the sniper rifle. “All, right. Let’s go and find this Sir Hammerlock.” Claptrap rolled over to a control panel and managed to open the door. With that done, they continue forward.
