Long ago, before Nightmare moon, just after Discord's reign of madness, a lamia Queen ruled her own personal Kingdom, ensnaring and enslaving her subjects with her wondrous influence, until, inevitably, the Princesses of Equestria came to reclaim their land and 'free' their people, trapping the Queen in a special magical bubble so she could live out her sentence in her crumbling castle for all time...

At least, so long as nopony with control of what locked her inside tries to let her out, of course.
