//-------------------------------------------------------// Part Of Your World -by Juliaa- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// I Believe We All Have A Soulmate //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note Hello and welcome, I had this fun little idea so why not write it? Hope you will like the story. I Believe We All Have A Soulmate "I can't believe I have to spend a month in this... village!" Rarity was angrily complaining. "Oh come on Rarity! It will be fun and we all will spend some family time together" her mum said. "Won't you and dad have to work all the time?" "Well yes, but you and Sweetie Belle will spend some time together." "Yeah. But can't we do that at our home? Or some bigger city?" "No. You need to see how lives are at smaller places like this to appreciate how lucky you are more." "But I already appreciate it!" "You'll appreciate it more. And I got a perfect idea for you to start learning about people here. You are going to go pick up our apple pies order at Sweet Apple Acress. It is a farm near the village." "Fine!" Rarity wasn't very happy about it to say the least. "So I am going with my car?" "No. You will go on a bike! Isn't that exciting?" "Exciting? On a bike? I don't want to get all sweaty!" "Rarity, just go." "Fine." Rarity was riding a bike to the apple farm called Sweet Apple Acress. "Take a bike, Rarity, why not? It will be fun!" she talked to herself sarcastically. Applejack just finished making the last apple pie for order from this fancy new family in the village. She wondered why they were here in the first place. Some servant of theirs is probably going to pick it up. It doesn't matter because they are willing to pay a bit more for the pies and Applejack really needs the money for her family. She lives with her granny, younger sister Apple Bloom and older brother Big Mac. They don't have much money and work really hard to survive. But they are very happy and lucky, they have each other. Applejack's POV I was carrying a basket with apples I have just picked when suddenly a beautiful girl with pale skin and dyed purple hair came on a shinny bike. She got off and approched me. Her hair was moving in the summer breeze and her sea blue eyes were sparkling on sunlight. "Excuse me," she started talking, "is this Sweet Apple Acress?" "Uh, yes. Yes it is! Hello! My name's Applejack!" "Hi! I am Rarity!" Rarity. What a beautiful name! We shook hands. Both of us staring a moment too long directly at each others eyes. "Uh, I came here to pay and pick up our apple pie order." Rarity said. Was she that new girl in town? Or did she only work for the family? Either way her dress was latest fashion, as far as I know. "Yeah, here ya go!" I handed her apple pies and she payed. "Thank you very much, darling!" Rarity said. Darling? No one ever called me like that before. I like it. "Thank you for chosing our apple pies!" "Thank you for making them!" Rarity was really nice. "Wow! You really have a big apple orchard, how do you take care of it all?" "I have help from my brother and sister. We like to work on the farm and always have fun spending time together so it's not too hard. We have also been doing it our whole lives." "Oh, that's cool. And you always lived here? It seems really nice, for a farm." "Uh, thanks?" I didn't know what to reply. "How about you? Why did you come here?" "Oh, my parents thought it would be a good idea I spend my time in a small village like this and not around rich people all the time. You know, to appreciate my life more" she said in her cute accent. "Oh, well that's good. It is always important to appreciate the things you have." "I already do appreciate them. But I guess you can always learn to appreciate it more. And it is always interesting to learn about how others live." "I agree." For some reason I really want to get to know her. "So you will be here over the summer?" "A month." "Well that's great! We could maybe hang out sometimes?" I asked but quickly added, "If you want to, of course!" "Of course! I would like that, you seem like an interesting person!" "You seem like one yourself too!" she smiled at that. That smile! "Let me just give you my phone number so we can arrange some day to hang out." "Alright!" She wrote me her phone number on paper and gave it to me. "I really have to go now" she said. "Okay, see you around then!" "Yes, see you soon, darling!" and with that she left. I could feel my heart beating so fast through whole time she was here. She was an interesting girl, that Rarity. I really hope I will get to know her more over the next few weeks. Rarity's POV As I am riding my bike to home, I am thinking about this farm girl named Applejack. She seems like a really interesting and nice girl, it would be fun to get to know her. I also have only just met her but she already makes my heart skip a beat with her magical emerald eyes. Applejack's POV I was eating dinner with Apple Bloom since others already finished but my thoughts kept wandering to a certain purple haired girl I met today. I want to know so many things about her. About her life. What is her favourite colour? What does she do in her free time? Does she like animals? Or girls? So many questions and I am excited to hopefully find answers to them. I am deep in my thoughts and I think Apple Bloom noticed since she asks, "whatcha thinking about?" "Huh?" is all I reply. "Come on sis, you were thinking about something, or rather someone and I want to know." "I was not thinking about anyone!" "So you were! Tell me who is she?" I eyeroll, "you always read me like a book, don't you?" "I do have a talent for that." "Well if you really want to know I was thinking about that Rarity girl I met today. She is new here and I am going to hang out with her day after tomorrow." I know I can trust Apple Bloom with any secret of mine. "So you like her?" "I have only met her!" "And you already like her? Wow, she must be special then!" I only laugh a bit but I know she is right. Yes, I have only met her but she already caught my eye. I guess you could say I even like her. I can't wait to see where we will go. //-------------------------------------------------------// First Impressions Are Important //-------------------------------------------------------// First Impressions Are Important Applejack's POV I wake up early as first rays of Sun peek through my window. Time for another day on the field. However, I am excited about hanging out with Rarity in the evening. Rarity's POV I am walking around the village with Sweetie Belle. We are at local market. I can't believe our mum made us go, together! She seems to agree this is a bad idea since she says... "Let's just split and meet in 2 hours and come back home together. We will say we were together whole time." "Finally, a good idea from you!" I reply. She eyerolls. "Later" she says as she leaves. We don't really get along well. Actually we can't stand each other, almost hate each other. Oh well, I guess not all siblings get along. I continue to walk down the market. There are so many different people here, all selling different things. I pass by an apple stand where a red haired girl I saw at Sweet Apple Acress greets me. "Morning Rarity!" "Morning!" I reply as passing by. I don't know how she knows my name. She must have heard Applejack and me talk. She is probably her sister, or cousin, who knows. Honestly, I don't know how long I have been walking around market when a rainbow haired girl accidentally sprints into me really hard and we both hit the floor. "Ouch!" I scream. "Watch where you are going!" "Heh, sorry." she says embarrassed and helps me get up. "I didn't notice you over there. Let me make it up to you! I'll buy you a drink, if you're not busy?" I want to say no but I remember my mother's words about learning about people here so I say, "Sure, let's! But I'll pay for mine." "If you say so!" she replies. "I'm Rainbow by the way." "Rarity." And we walk away from the market and enter a cafe. We were talking for a while. She told me she moved here at age of 6. Her family thought it is a beautiful place to live. Honestly, I don't think how I could ever live here my whole life but as they say everyone is different. As we were talking I noticed her bracelet. "That's a really pretty bracelet. Where did you buy it? It looks awfully familiar." "Impossible. My best friend made us these. Only we have it." "Huh, alright. Strange, I could have sworn I saw it somewhere." "Maybe you passed by her, who knows." "Yeah, who knows." I reply. "So what do you like to do in your free time, Rainbow? I mean, besides bumping into strangers." "Hey, that was an accident. Also sports. I love sports." "Uf, I hate it!" "Really?!" she was shocked. "Not any type?" "Nope. I am more into art and fashion." "And here I was thinking I could invite you to my best friend's and mine weekly sports hangout. We usually play football." "I appreciate it but no thanks. I would rather do something else. Almost anything else." "Finee!" Rainbow was annoyed. "But if you change your mind come tomorrow at 6 to Sweet Apple Acress." "Wait!" she couldn't be Applejack's best friend, right? And even if she is I didn't really say I hate sports, the thing both her and her best friend obviously love, right? Right?! "Did you say Sweet Apple Acress?" "Yeah, my best friend lives there so don't worry, we are allowed to play football in the orchard. It's a bit outside of the city but I am sure you will find a way to get there." "Your best friend lives there?" "Uh, yeah? Is there something wrong?" "Is your best friend Applejack?" "Yes, how did you--" "You know what? I'll be there! Gotta go now, my sister is waiting, but see you tomorrow!" I say as I pay and start going out. "But wait how did you kno--" is the last thing I hear her say before I leave in a rush. I walk around the market again, waiting for Sweetie Belle. I can't believe I panicked and just left. I really wanted to impress Applejack but I am afraid that she won't be when Rainbow retells her everything. Then again it's just one thing we don't have in common, I am sure it won't be a big deal. Applejack's POV "You? Bumped? Into? WHO?!" Is all I could say after Rainbow retold me everything that happened that day. "It was an accident!" Rainbow repeated her previous words again. "So, are you going to tell me how do you know her or what?" "Uh, yeah, sure" I say. "She is that new girl who came to buy apple pies the other day." "Ohhh! She is that girl you didn't stop talking about for last 2 days? Nice!" I blush as she says those words. "I..." "Nah, I get it. She's hot, and seems interesting and nice, not really my type but if she is yours, and seems like she is, then that's great!" "Uhh" is all I could say while my cheeks are burning red. Later that day I went to meet Rarity. "Where are you going?" Apple Bloom said smiling. "Out with Rarity." "As a date?" "No, regular hang out." "Shame. But soon you will I am absolutely sure!" "I hope you're right" I whisper but it seems like she heard me. We meet near a lake outside of village. We decided to go on a walk. "Hey Rarity!" I walk up to her and we hug. "Hello, darling!" I really like when she calls me that. Rarity's POV I just really hope she doesn't ask me about suddenly leaving Rainbow at the cafe. "Shall we go this way?" she points at one path around the lake. "Sure!" I reply. "So how do you like the village so far?" Applejack asks me. Her beautiful eyes glimmer in the moonlight and I can't help but stare. Applejack's POV "Well, it is not really my type of scenery but I guess it is nice" she replies. "It is definetly more amazing when you are around." I-- words-- can't. "Thanks." "How did your day go by the way?" Rarity asks. "It went well, I worked half of the day and then hung out with Rainbow. She told me how you two met today." "Oh, yeah, we did... she seems really chill and cool!" "Oh, yeah. She is!" I say smiling a bit remembering how Rainbow would love to hear that is first impression she makes on people. "She also said you will come play football tomorrow with us?" "Oh, yes. I will!" she replies but then adds embarrassed, "is it bad if I don't know how to play it?" "Nah, of course not! I am excited you want to learn! We will teach you!" "Great! I hope I will be alright." "I am sure you will!" I smile at her as she smiles back. And then we continue to walk and talk til late at night. Author's Note I do not know XD But I hope you liked it! :D
