Chapters Digimon Displaced Adventure
Marcus was a normal eighteen year old guy from a small rural city near the panhandle of Texas and he is known as one of the biggest lovers of digimon. In fact for his first convention Marcus planned on going as his favorite Digimon Beelzemon, not the one from fusions but the one from Tamers, the better of the two in his opinion.
For months before the convention he toiled away on putting together his costume, and when the day of the convention came he was so excited. In Marcus’s opinion he thinks his costume looks almost like it came right out of the show. However, the only thing that he was sad about was the fact that he ran out of time before the con to make the two shotguns.
However, despite this little set back Marcus found himself really enjoying the convention. He especially liked seeing all the different booths, but one stuck out to him in particular.
This booth was covered in different trinkets from all from different shows, games, and comics. As for the person running the booth it was a man dressed as the Merchant character from the resident evil character.
Marcus smiled as he walked up to the booth and said,” hay man nice costume you look really cool.”
The Merchant smiled from under his hood and said,” thank you my friend.” He then waved his arms over his booth while saying,” please look around my friend, and please tell me if there is anything you like.”
Marcus smiled as he looked down at the table and began to peruse what the Merchant had. As he looked around Marcus eyes shot open in surprise, there they were Beelzemons shotguns. Marcus then looked up at the Merchant and asked,” how much for the Berenjena?”
The Merchant grabbed onto the shotguns and said,” I was thinking about two hundred dollars for them.” The Merchant then noticed Marcus’s shocked expression and said,” I see that the price is not to your liking, so how about I sweeten the deal.” He then set down the shotguns and picked up a the small toy gun that was used to turn Beelzemon into his Blast mode. Then with a smile said,” I will throw this in free of charge with purchase.”
Marcus looked at the three items as he thought about what he was going to do before reaching back and pulling out his wallet. Marcus then handed the Merchant four fifty dollar bills, which the Merchant happily took. Marcus then grabbed the three guns and quickly put them away.
Once everything was put away Marcus turned around while saying,” thank ya for the awesome gear man.” He then started to walk away from the Merchant and his booth thinking that was the end of it
This caused the Merchant to snicker while saying,” no thank you for your business, and I hope you enjoy your adventure.”
Marcus stopped in his tracks and looked back at the Merchant, and began to ask what he had meant by then when he suddenly slipped into unconsciousness. When Marcus finally started regaining consciousness he was greeted by a bright light being flashed in his eyes, causing them to squint. This caused him to wave his hand in front of his face, so to try and get away of the lights, and sat up.
Marcus rubbed the back of his head and with a groan asked,” what the hell happened to me.” He then rubbed his eyes and when he moved his hands away he was shocked what he saw. What he saw what seemed to be five different collored unicorns.
Marcus rubbed his eyes again to try see if he was just seeing things. However, when he opened back up his eyes the unicorns were still there.
Just then the unicorn of the far right smiled while saying,” my friends it would seem that we have done it, we have successfully summoned a demon.” The unicorns then began to congratulate each other on a job well done.
While they did this Marcus began to wonder what they were talking about. Just then he could feel something behind him move, causing him to turn and see what it was. To his surprise it was a fully functional metal tail, moving back and forth.
Marcus couldn’t believe it his former prop tail was moving like it was real. Marcus then shook his head thinking no way could this be real. Se to test it he grabbed the tail and pulled, causing him to wince in pain.
Marcus immediately let go of his newfound tail, his mind reeling with questions. However, his thought were interrupted when one of the unicorns let out a cough. As Marcus and the other unicorns looked at the grey unicorn with a white mane it said,” my friends I understand wanting to celebrate this tremendous event, but I think it is time for us to put this creature with the others.”
At that moment all the unicorns nodded and began to walk towards Marcus. As they drew closer Marcus started to back up until he hit a wall. Marcus gulped as he looked back at the wall before looking back at the unicorns as they came closer.
Marcus started to panic, what could he do to get out of this situation. Just then he felt something lightly tap on his outer leg. When Marcus looked down to see what it was his eyes shot open, it was the shotguns he had just bought. Then as quick as he could he pulled both of them out of the holsters on his legs while saying,” stay back!!”
This caused the unicorns to stop in their tracks for a second before continuing their advance
Marcus growled as he then yelled,” STAY AWAY FROM ME!!” This however, didn’t stop them from advancing towards him. Then suddenly he screamed DOUBLE IMPACT as he pulled both of the triggers blasting two of the unicorns, sending both of them flying into the far wall killing them.
Everyone looked at the two lifeless bodies, everyone with a look of horror on their face. Something in Marcus’s brain then went off telling him to find a way out while the other unicorns were distracted.
Marcus then started looking around the room to see if there was any way of escape. As he looked around he saw what seemed to be a one way mirror, like what you see in cope shows, and decided that was his best bet out of this room at least. Marcus then aimed his guns at the mirror and started firing rapidly at it, causing the unicorns to dive onto the ground and cover their heads.
Once thee mirror was thoroughly destroyed Marcus quickly ran over and dived through into a long hallway. Marcus then looked around for a second before turning to his right and running as fast as he could. As he ran he noticed other unicorns, and what seemed to pegasi and normal ponies, all in lab coats screaming specimen louse. This however did not faze him in the slightest and he just kept running until he came to a meal door.
Marcus looked over the door for some sort of a handle, but couldn't find anything. Marcus growled and said,” of course, couldn’t make anything easy for me could ya?” He then backed up as he raised his guns to aim at the door before rapidly shooting it. However, thou this did greatly damage the door, it did not destroy it.
Marcus growled again as he holstered his shotguns and said,” oh so that is how ya wanna play it.” Marcus then flexed his newfound claws as he ran toward and screamed,” DARKNESS CLAW!” He then thrust his right hand through then door making a hole, which he then expanded by pulling it apart with both hands.
Once the whole was big enough Marcus stepped through and into what seemed to be a forest. Marcus sighed in defeat while saying,” of course out of the weird building and into a creepy forest, of course.” Marcus then looked back at the shredded door before turning back to the forest and running into it, wondering what else could go wrong.

Digimon Displaced Adventure
Marcus ran for what felt like an hour before finally coming across a calm river cutting off his path. Seeing this as a sign for him to stop and catch his breath he happily took it. After taking a moment to catch his breath he walked over to the river's edge and looked down into it, and what he saw made him sigh.
There he was, but instead of it being his normal human looking self it was the character he cosplayed as, Beelzemon. Marcus then crouched down and dipped his hands into the river, as to get them nice and wet. Then while looking into the river he started rubbing his face, all the while hoping that his light bluish gray skin was still makeup .However, after rubbing for a few minutes and nothing changing he lowered his hands to his side.
Marcus couldn’t believe it he really had become Beelzemon, and despite what he thought it isn’t anything like what he thought it would be. He then clenched his fists and with a yell hit the water as hard as he could, causing a large splash. He then repeated this over and over while yelling,” dammit, dammit, dammit!!” Then with one final splash he began to softly cry while saying,” dammit all, why did this have to happen to me?”
Just then he heard a twig snap not far behind him, causing him to quickly grab Berenjena and as he turned pointed them at the sounds origin. He then angrily asked,” come out now or I swear I will tear this place asunder!”
After he said that what looked to be cream yellow Pegasus mare shakily walked out of the brush. The Pegasus then slowly and shakily walked towards Marcus while asking,” u-um a-are you alright, I-I thought I heard crying?”
This caused him to raise his left arm and wipe away the tears while saying,” I was not crying.” He then aimed back at the Pegasus and asked,” even if I was, what business would it be of yours?” As he looked at the Pegasus he started to wonder if this Pegasus was related to the ones who brought him here.
The Pegasus then let out a small whine and said,” I am sorry, I just hate to see anypony sad is all.”
Marcus clicked his tongue as he put away his weapons, deciding it wasn’t a threat, and turned his back to the Pegasus, returning his gaze to his reflection in the river. All then while Marcus kept his guard encase this Pegasus tried anything funny.
As he looked at his reflection he noticed the Pegasus's reflection. He then let out an annoyed tone asked,” what, what do you want?”
The Pegasus silently epped and in a shaky voice said,” w-well I was just wondering what exactly you are?” Her voice then evened out as she continued to say,” my special talent means I work with all sort of different animals, but I have never seen anything quit like you?”
Marcus turned his head to look at the Pegasus and then back again at his reflection. Marcus then raised his hand up so he could see it, he had no idea how he should answer that question. He then chuckled as he said,” to be honest I have no clue anymore.” He then clenched his fist while angrily saying,” I am no longer who I was, and have no idea who I am now.”
Marcus knew he was no longer a human nor did he see himself as the Digimon he now found himself as now. However, he was determined to find out exactly who, or what, he was now.
Then with a sigh said,” but if it is my name you want then it is Marcus, and as for what I am is a Digimon known as Beelzemon.” He then lowered his fist and looked at the Pegasus and asked,” and what would your name be?’
The Pegasus then blushed and said,” oh-oh my, I am sorry I should have introduced myself first.” It then smiled warmly as she introduced herself,” my name is Fluttershy, it is very nice to meet you.”
Marcus looked at Fluttershy for a moment and under his breath said,” talk about a fitting name.” He then turned his head to where he was looking at the other side of the river. As he looked at the other side of the river he asked,” so tell me, why are you here?”
Marcus honestly didn’t think that she could be related to the ones that summoned him to this world. That being said though, he just wanted to make completely sure that she was not a threat to him in any way.
Fluttershy sat down next to Marcus and said,” oh that is simple.” She then looked the same direction as Marcus and said,” a few animal friends that live in the forest have recently been forced from their homes by as strange creature.”
Marcus then looked at Fluttershy and asked,” wait so you are telling me a bunch of animals told you about this?”
This caused Fluttershy to gave a quick nod while saying,” yes that is right.” She then looked at her backside while saying,” the day that I found out that I could speak to animal was the day I got my cutiemark, and found my destiny.”
Marcus looked at the mark, which was three butterflies, on Fluttershy’s flank and said,” so that thing on your butt is supposed to represent your destiny, okay.” He then stood tall and asked,” so what was this creature your animal friends told you about.”
Fluttershy frowned as she said,” well from what they told me this creature is unlike anything ever seen before.” She then started to shake as she continued,” they told me that it was mostly black with a one large red eye, and could travel at great speeds.” Fluttershy then looked up at Marcus and with clear fear in her eyes said,” my friends also called it the “Beast of Iron”.”
As she told him what her animal friends called this creature Marcus’s eyes shot wide open. Marcus knew that name well, for it was the name of the motorcycle that Beelzemon rode in Tamers. His mind was reeling, how could the motorcycle Behemoth be in this world of all places?
Then with a heavy sigh Marcus said,” I believe I know this creature you are talking about.” He then crossed his arms and said,” it is called Behemoth, and I am not sure but I think I might be why it is here.”
Fluttershy let out a small gasp and asked,” oh my, why would this creature have to do with you mister Marcus?”
Marcus groaned while saying,” well Behemoth and I are intertwined with each other in a way.” He then chuckled as he said,” Behmoth longs for someone to ride it so it can control them, and that might just be me.”
It was hard for Marcus to admit, but the idea of taking on something as strong Behemoth was getting his blood pumping. He didn’t know it was because of him taking on some of Beelzemon’s attributes or if was just him wanting to let off a little steam.
Marcus then stood tall and started to flex his hands causing them to crack and pop. Then with a wicked grin he asked,” so tell me, where might I be able to find Behemoth?’ Just then in the distance the sound of an engine running and the snapping of wood could be heard getting closer. Marcus smirked as Behemoth came charging out of the brush said,” well speak of the devil.”
Marcus looked at Behemoth as it’s engine revved as it got ready to charge at him. Marcus then smirked as he said,” you might want to move, this could get really dangerous.” Fluttershy tried to protest but was cut off by Behemoth suddenly speeding off towards Marcus.
Marcus jumped to his right just to barely miss being run down by Behemoth. As he turned to face Behemoth, Behemoth started doing donuts until it stopped when it faced him. Behemoth then once again charged at Marcus, but instead of jumping out of the way he widened his stance so he could attempt to catch Behemoth.
When Behemoth rammed into Marcus, he did manage to stop it but not until after being forced back a few feet. Marcus grunted as he pushed against Behemoth, as an attempt to keep it in one place, all the while Behemoth’s wheels kept spinning as it tried to run him down.
Marcus let out one final grunt before being thrown backwards into the air by Behemoth as it revved past. After Marcus hit the ground he started to stand back up, and when he finally managed to get up he saw Behemoth coming in for another pass. This time however, he didn’t try and evade it’s assault.
As Behemoth was about to hit, Marcus jumped to the side and grabbed onto Behemoth’s handlebar with his left hand and used his Darkness Claw to attack the front wheel. Causing both Behemoth and Marcus to flip into the air and into the river.
Fluttershy gasped as the two landed in the river with a splash and ran to the bank. She then began to frantically scan the the river for any signs of Marcus while frantically saying,” oh dear, oh dear, oh dear!”
Just then the surface of the river started to ripple and bubble until suddenly Marcus, riding on Behemoth, shot out of the water. This sight caused Fluttershy to drop to the ground and cover her head.
When Behemoth and Marcus landed he began to laugh and say,” haha I thought I was going to kick the bucket there.” He then looked down at Behemoth and said,” well looks like me and you are going to be partners.” Marcus then turned his attention to the cowering Fluttershy and called,” hey you can get up now, everything is safe.”
Fluttershy uncovered her head as she looked at Marcus and asked,” are you sure that it won't come after me ?”
Marcus shook his head as he said,” nope Behemoth won't attack you Fluttershy, especially since I am now in control of him.” He then rubbed Behemoths windshield, which caused it’s engine to rev. Marcus then smirked and asked,” why don’t you hop on and I will give you a ride?’
Flutteshy started to fidget in place as she turned her head away from him and said,” o-oh I don’t know about that, I-I could just walk back by myself.”
Marcus shook his head and said,” come on it will be fine, just get on.” He then patted the back of the seat as a way of telling her to get on.
Fluttershy thought for a moment before carefully walking up and slowly straddiling the seat. Once she was in a comfortable position she wrapped her hooves around his waist and said,” o-okay I am ready.”
Marcus smirked wickedly and said,” awesome let’s see what this thing could do.” He then revved the engine before finally speeding towards the river's edge. Once they reached the edge of the river Marcus pulled up hard on the handlebars, sending Behemoth and both of its riders flying over the river.
As they soared over the river an amalgamation of screams of joy and fear could be heard for miles.
Once Behemoth landed safely on the ground Marcus throw is arm into the air and joyfully screamed,” Hell yeah that was freaking awesome!” Marcus then turned to ask Fluttershy what she thought, but didn’t for he could already tell what she thought. From her shaking and whimpering Marcus could tell she didn’t find it as fun as he did.
Marcus looked away and said,” hey, I am sorry I didn’t tell you I was going to do that.” He then rubbed the back of his neck while saying,” I guess I just acted before thinking, so sorry.”
Fluttershy looked up at Marcus and with what seemed a forced smile said,” o-oh it is alright, don’t worry about me.” She then whimpered a little bit and whispered,” j-just please warn me before doing something like that?”
Marcus smirked as he gave her a quick thumbs up while saying,” you got it.” He then looked forward at the forest and asked,” so this the way back to your place?”
Fluttershy gave a small nod and said,” o-oh yes this is the way.”
Marcus gave a quick nod as he gave a devilish smile and said,” well then what are we waiting for.” He then pulled back on the throttle, sending the two speeding through the brush. All the while once again hearing a mixture of screams of terror and those of joy.

Digimon Displaced Adventure
How long had long have they been driven, and how much farther until they get out of the forest? These questions were some of the farthest things from his mind as he sped through the forest with Behemoth and Fluttershy. To him this was honestly the only good thing to happen to him all day, so he honestly didn’t want it to end.
But unluckily for him the entrance to the forest finally came into view. This caused Marcus to hit the brakes and with a smirk say,” Well looks like we are here.” He then turned to look at Fluttershy, and was unsurprised to see that she was hunched over and green in the face. He then chuckled and asked,” Didn’t enjoy the ride that much did ya?”
Fluttershy whimpered as she looked up at him and shook her head no. This caused Marcus to rub the back of his neck and say,” Oh sorry about that, guess I got carried away again.” He then jumped off of Behemoth and with a smile said,” Why don’t you just relax on Behemoth while I push us the rest of the way?”
Fluttershy looked at Marcus and worriedly said,” Oh no you don’t need to do that, I will be fine.”
Marcus shook his head and said,” Calm down, it is not that big of a deal.” He then grabbed Behemoths handlebars and push it forward while saying,” Besides I am the one who made you feel bad so it is the least I can do.”
Fluttershy wanted to protest, but didn’t want to upset Marcus since he felt so strongly about it. She then relaxed as Marcus pushed Behemoth to the forest entrance and stopped. Marcus then looked at Fluttershy and said,” Well I guess this is where we go are separate ways.”
Fluttershy looked up at Marcus in shook and said,” Oh no you can’t leave yet, I haven’t had a chance to thank you for your help.”
Marcus shook his head and said,” You have no reason to thank me, all I did was tame Behemoth.” He then looked at the forest entrance and thought to himself,” Besides I still don’t know who I can really trust in this world.’
Fluttershy then put her huff on Marcus’s arm and said,” Oh but you have, because of you my animals friends can return to their homes in the forest without fear.” She then looked Marcus dead in the eyes with a heartbreaking stare and asked,” Please at least let me take you to Sugarcube Corner for a nice treat to say thank you.”
Marcus groaned as he covered his face with his hand and under his breath said,” I can’t believe I am about to say this.” He then crossed his arms and said,” Fine, but after that then me and you go are separate ways.” Internally as he said this Marcus just cursed himself for being so weak when it comes to cure things.
Fluttershy smiled warmly and said,” Oh thank you, I promise you will love my good friend Pinkie Pies baking.” She then dismounted Behemoth while saying,” They really are very good.”
Marcus shrugged as he said,” If you say so, I never really had much of a sweet tooth.” He then put his hands back on Behemoths handlebars and said,” Well let's get this over with.” He then started to walk out of the forest, while pushing Behemoth, and was a bit surprised at what he saw.
He wasn't surprised at all the ponies that he saw, most of which were mares straggly to him. However, he was surprised on how the architecture looked a bit like what he could find back on his world. This shocked him, mostly because he honestly thought these ponies lived free range like most wild horses, but here they were living in homes in a town.
Fluttershy smiled as she walked next to him and said,” Weclome to Ponyville Marcus.” She then started to walk ahead of him, just expecting him to follow close behind.
Marcus looked at Fluttershy as she walked towards the town and slowly started to follow after her. As the couple walked towards the town Marcus began to tense up slightly. Marcus had no way of telling if any of these ponies were related to the ones back at that lab, so he just wanted to be ready for anything.
As they made their way into the town, Marcus noticed how the ponies acted like normal people back home. However when a normal pony working at a nearby flower shop noticed she screamed in terror while saying,” Monster!” This caused all the other ponies to look at Marcus and run away and hide while also screaming about he is there to destroy the town, and other nonsense like that.
Marcus groaned as he looked at Fluttershy and asked,” They aren’t the most welcoming bunch, are they?”
Fluttershy whimpered while saying,” Oh dear, I really hoped this wouldn’t happen.” She then looked up at Marcus and said,” I am very sorry about them, the ponies of this town are a bit jumpy when it comes to creatures like..” She then started rubbing her right front hoof with her left nervously.
Marcus sighed thinking he knew what she was going to more than likely say. However, honestly he could understand seeing him as he is now and thinking he is a monster. He did look like a demon straight out of the pits of hell themselves.
Marcus then raised his hand to stop Fluttershy and said,” It is alright, honestly they are not to far off by calling me a monster.”
Fluttershy blinked a couple times before giving him a stern glare while saying,” You are not a monster Marcus, so don’t you ever say that.” She then walked over to him and set a comforting hoof on his leg while saying,” I can tell you are truly a kind creature.”
Marcus looked down at Fluttershy for a moment before letting out a snicker. He then said,” Thank you for saying that Fluttershy, but that is not what I mean.” He then pointed his thumb to his chest and said,” I told you I am a Digimon, which is short for Digital Monster.” He then smirked as he moved his hand away from his chest and said,” But thank you, it is nice to know you don’t see me as a monster.”
Fluttershy smiled at this and said,” Don’t mention it Marcus, as long as you know just be called a monster doesn’t mean you are one.” She then stepped back while saying,” Now we might want to hurry and get to Sugarcube Corner before it closes.”
Marcus smiled as he said,” Then what are we waiting for, let’s go.” Fluttershy and him then continued to walk through the town. All the while Marcus took notice of the frittered ponies looking through their windows while cowering in their homes.
After a couple of minutes walking Sugarcube Corner finally came into view. Marcus whistled in amazement at the sight of the litteral candy building before him. Under his breath he then asked,” I wonder if there is a witch inside like in the story?”
Fluttershy looked up at Marcus with a raised eyebrow and asked, ”Did you say something Marcus?”
Marcus’s blue cheeks turned a little pink as he nervously said, ”N-no, I didn’t say anything.” He then rubbed the back of his neck while asking, ”So is this the place Fluttershy?’
Fluttershy smiled warmly as she said, ”Yes it is, this is Sugarcube Corner.” She then chuckled while saying, ”And no it is not made of sweets, it just looks like it is.”
Marcus gave a small nod and with a chuckle said,” Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if it was after the day I have had today.” He then pushed Behemoth up towards the building before setting it outside the entrance. Once Behemoth was parked he looked back at Fluttershy and said,” Okay now remember after we are done here then me and you go are separate ways.”
Fluttershy gave a small nod while saying,” I understand Marcus.” The two then walked up to the front door. However, before Marcus could even attempt to open the door a rainbow streak shot out, tackling him to the ground.
Marcus groaned in pain as he slowly sat up and asked,” Okay what the heck was that?” Just then he was forcefully pinned to the ground by the same rainbow streak, but now he could more clearly tell what the streak was. It was a light blue Pegasus mare with a rainbow mane and tail, and boy she did not look happy.
The Pegasus then angrily asked,” What are you doing here monster, and why are you following Fluttershy!?”
Marcus blinked a couple of times before scowling and saying,” Look skittles I have no idea what you are talking about, she invited me here.” He then flexed his right hand to where it was in a spear like shape and kept it at his side just in case he needed to attack. Marcus then growled while saying,” Now I would suggest you get off me before I make you.”
The Pegasus pushed harder on Marcus’s chest, causing him to wince a little, and said,” Don’t you lie to me, there is no way Fluttershy would do what your saying willingly!” She then leaned in said,” You must have threatened her or something, admit it!”
Marcus couldn’t believe what he was hearing, without even getting a chance to know him just assumed he threatened Fluttershy. He then angrily grit his teeth and said,” Don’t say I didn’t warn you.” He then shot his hand forward in a piercing motion while calling out,” Darkness Claw!”
The Pegasus didn’t have any time to react to the attack and was knocked off of Marcus and onto the ground. As soon as he was free of the weight Marcus jumped onto his feet and pulled out his Berenjena. He then pointed their barrels at the downed Pegasus and said,” If your smart then stay down.”
The Rainbow Pegasus then slowly started to raise herself to her whooves while saying,” No, not until you let Fluttershy go you monster.”
Marcus angrily growled and said,” Okay you are really starting to piss me off, with this whole thinking I am holding Fluttershy hostage thing.” He then walked closer to the Pegasus and aimed his guns right at her face while saying,” Now I don’t want this to get messy, but you are really pushing my patience tie dye.”
The two then glared at each other, as if they were each daring the other to make a move. However, their staring contest was suddenly interrupted by Fluttershy running in between the two, forcing them apart.
Fluttershy then glared at the two of them and sternly said,” That is quite enough you two!”
Marcus looked at Fluttershy with shook in his voice, he really wasn’t used to stern Fluttershy. He then holstered his Berenjena and angrily looked away from the rainbow mane Pegasus while saying,” Hey she was the one who started it.”
The Pegasus wings flared out in anger and said,” You jerk, don’t act like you are innocent, you mon…” However, before she could finish what she was staying Fluttershy gave her a stern glare, causing her wings to fold to her side in fear.
Fluttershy shook her head before fully turning to face the Pegasus and saying,” Rainbow Dash, I understand you wanting to make sure I am safe, but you shouldn’t just attack somepony like that.”
Fluttershy then turned to Marcus and said,” As for you Marcus, I understand being mad when somepony attacks you, but you shouldn’t attack them back.” She looked at the pair and said,” Now I want both of you two apoligize to each other.”
Marcus and Rainbow Dash looked at each other for a second before both of them turned there heads away in anger. Which caused Fluttershy to let out a stern,” Ahem!”
Marcus groaned as he looked back at Rainbow Dash and say,” Fine, sorry for retaliating when you attacked me out of the blue.”
This caused Rainbow to groan as well as she battery said,” Sorry I attacked you without getting to know you first.”
Fluttershy smiled and said,” Good, now why don’t you both shake on it and put this ordeal behind us.” Both Marcus and Rainbow growled a little bit at each other as they shock each others appendages.
Fluttershy gave a small nod in approval and said,” Thank you, now come on I still owe you a thank you treat Marcus.” She then turned from Marcus and Rainbow and walked into the bakery.
As soon as Fluttershy was inside, and out of sight, Marcus glared at Rainbow and said,” Okay listen up Skittles, I can understand wanting to protect your friend.” He then tensed his right hand as if he was going to attack while saying,” However, if you ever attack me without a legitimate reason then I will make sure you regret it.” He then untensed his hand and walked into the bakery, leaving a stunned Rainbow Dash behind.
As Marcus walked into Sugarcube Corner his senses were immediately overrun with all the sugary treats he saw. Then with a whistle he said,” Holy crap, I think I can feel all the calories.” He then walked up to Fluttershy, who was standing at the front counter, and asked,” So what is good here?”
Fluttershy smiled up at Marcus and said, ”Well I very much enjoy their cupcakes, but then again I enjoy most of what they serve here.” She then took her hoof and tapped on a tiny bell to get the attention of an attendant.
Soon after she did this a a slightly chubby blue pony with pink hair, that almost looked like icing walked out of a near by room while saying, ”Welcome to Sugarcube Corner, how might I help..” She then stopped dead in her tracks when she noticed Marcus and gasped in shook.
Marcus sighed and said,” Okay listen before you scream, I am not here to harm anyone.” He then pointed at Fluttershy while saying,” She was the one who wanted to bring me here.”
The plump pony looked at Fluttershy in shock and asked,” Is that really true Fluttershy, you brought him here?”
Fluttershy smiled and said,” Yes Mrs. Cake, he helped me out in the Everfree forest so I decided to take him here as a way of thanking him.”
Mrs.Cake let out a small sigh of relief and said,” Oh thank goodness, I was worried there for a moment.” She then looked up at Marcus and said,” I am sorry for acting so rude, it is just I have never seen a creature like you before.” She then smiled warmly and asked,” How about this, to make up for my rudeness anything you want is on the house?”
Marcus smirked and said,” Shoot I think I will take you up on that offer ma’am.” He then looked over all the confections before saying,” I guess I will take a slice of that red velvet cake.”
Mrs. Cake gave a quick nod before turning her attention to Fluttershy and asked,” As for you dear, what will you have?”
Fluttershy smiled as she asked,” Might I please have one of your vanilla cupcakes if you don’t mind?”
Mrs. Cake gave a quick nod before grabbing the pairs order and gave it to them. Now with their order filled the walked over to one of the few tables and sat down.
Marcus looked down at the slice of cake and with a chuckle said,” Well it looks like a normal piece of cake, hopefully it tastes like one too.” He then picked up the piece of cake and took a large bite. As soon as he did this his eyes shoot open causing him to basically inhale the rest of his slice of cake.
Once the slice of cake was completely gone he looked over to see a shocked Fluttershy. A light blush then appeared on his cheeks as he said,” Sorry about that Fluttershy, I just couldn’t help my self.” He then averted his gaze and said,” I have never tasted something so delicious in my whole life.”
Fluttershy blinked a couple times before letting out a little giggle before covering her mouth with her wing. Once she composed herself again she said,” Don’t worry about Marcus, I fully understand.” She then turned her attention to her cupcake and happily ate it.
After Fluttershy finished her cupcake she stood up from her seat and said,” Well, it would seem that are time is up.”
Marcus frowned a little bit as he stood up and said,” I guess you are right.” He then smiled lightly as he walked up to her and said,” I must admit I was hesitant about this at first, but all in all this was pretty nice.” He then offered his hand while saying,” Thanks, this was really nice.”
Fluttershy smiled as she placed her hoof in his hand and shook it while saying,” No need to thank me, I was happy to.”
Just then the front door was thrown open wide and a frantic Rainbow Dash came barreling. She looked around before spotting Marcus and Fluttershy. Then with a glare she fly in between the two and with venom asked,” You, you brought that thing here didn’t you!?”
Marcus glared back at Rainbow and asked,” What are you talking about?” He then pointed at Fluttershy while saying,” The only creature that I brought into this town was her.”
Rainbow rolled her eyes and said,” Yeah right, then come outside and say that.” She then zoomed back out the building, leaving the two just looked at each other before following.
As they walked out of the building Marcus looked at a hoovering Rainbow Dash and asked,” So were is this “thing” you are so certain I brought here?”
Rainbow growled as she yelled,” Oh you want to see it, then look right there you jerk!” She then turned around and used her hoof to point out a what looked like a red dot growing ever bigger.
Marcus glared at the dot for a moment, trying he hardest to see if he could make out what it was. As the dot got closer Marcus’s eyes shot open at what he say. It was a red large insect with four arms and one long horn. Marcus then gritted his teeth as he angrily said,” Oh, you have got to be kidding me!”
Fluttershy looked up at Marcus and asked,” What, what is it Marcus?”
Marcus gulped a little bit as he looked down at Fluttershy and said,” That thing that is coming at us, I know it.” He then looked back up at the large ever nearing insect as he grabbed his Berenjena and said,” It’s Megakabuterimon, a digimon like me and it doesn’t look to friendly.”

Digimon Displaced Adventure
Marcus’s mind was racing a mile a minute as he saw the Megakabuterimon inch closer by the second. He racked his brain trying to think of how it could have possibly gotten to this world. Then a click went off in his mind, it had to have been the ones who brought him to this world.
Just then a loud roar could be heard from the approaching digimon, pulling Marcus out of his thought. Then with a growl of his own he said,” Fluttershy I need you and your friend to get out of here, this is about to get ugly!”
Rainbow glared at Marcus and flew in front of him while asking,” Hey I don’t know who you think you are, but we don’t need your help!.”
Marcus growled once more as he said,” Oh we don't have time for this.” Then in a swift motion he marked her upside the head with his Berenjena, knocking her out. He then looked at Fluttershy and said,” You take skittles out of here, because right now I can’t focus on taking Bug face up there and protecting you two.”
Fluttershy looked at Marcus with a look of shock and asked,” What are you going to do to that creature Marcus?”
Marcus looked back to Megakabuterimon and with a small smirk said,” I am going to take this dumb bug down a peg or two.” He then looked back to Fluttershy and ordered,” Now get out of here, he is almost on top of us.”
Fluttershy opened her mouth as if to rebuttal, but quickly closed it and complied with what Marcus said. She quickly managed to get the unconscious Rainbow Dash on her back and began to leave, but stopped a couple feet before turning back and saying,” Please be careful Marcus.” She then began to run away as fast as she could.
Marcus let out a small chuckle and under his breath said,” Don’t worry tots.” He then smirked wickedly as he yelled,” NO OVER GLORIFIED BUG IS GONNA TAKE THE MAIN MAN DOWN!!”
The Megakabuterimon then let out an enraged roar and picked up its pace, rocketing towards him.
As Megakabuterimon was about to slam in Marcus he managed to jump back, causing the large digimon to create a crater from the impact. Seeing this as a perfect opportunity Marcus aimed his guns at the scarlet insect and yelled,” Double Impact!” As he said this he began to rapidly pull the triggers of his Berenjena, sending a flurry of blasts at his downed opponent.
Marcus continued his assault on the downed digimon until suddenly shot up and let out a roar pushing him back. After steading himself again he looked up at Megakabuterimon, now covered with bruises and cuts. He then smirked as he called out,” ya runnin scared already horn head!”
This just caused the large digimon to growl and his horn to begin to ignite with electricity before it called,” HORN BUSTER!!” As it yelled this a large blast of electricity shot off his horn right at Marcus.
Marcus’s eyes shot open as the blast came flying towards him and jumped to the side. However, as he jumped out of the way the blast managed to nick his leg, causing massive amounts of electricity coursing through his body. Once his feet were sturdidle on the ground he looked down with his leg and winced in pain as he said,” Okay that is smarts.”
Marcus then turned his attention back to the giant red scarab beetle and called out,” That the best you got ugly cause I can still go!!” He then aimed his guns at the massive digimon and began to rapidly fire, causing the Megakabuterimon to swerve around to try and avoid the attacks.
For a couple of minutes this little dance continued, much to Marcus’s annoyance, until finally the Megakabuterimon turned and flew directly at him. However, when Marcus went to try and dodge his leg that was hit with that last attack, seized up. This single moment of paralysis was just enough time for the Megakabuterimon to slam into him, causing another creator to form with Marcus as the center.
After a second the insect digimon flew out of the crater and landed on its edge. Then in what seemed to be an act of gloating it let out a hardy roar.
Meanwhile at the bottom of the crater Marcus was staring at the sky above. He couldn’t wrap his head around it, how could he be losing like this. Megakabuterimon for goodness sake, he was a mega level. He should be winning this fight no problem, but here he was laying on the ground in pain.
As he laid there the world seemed to fade as a flood of thoughts started going through his mind. The most prominent of which being to just give up. However, he was quickly dragged back to reality when he heard a familiar voice yell,” That is enough!”
Marcus slowly guided his eyes to the source of the voice, hoping it wasn’t who he thought it was. But all his hopes were dashed when he saw an angry Fluttershy hovering at eye level in front of the Megakabuterimon.
Fluttershy glared at the massive digimon and said,” You have gone far enough mister!” She then pointed one of her hooves at the insect and said,” You should feel ashamed of yourself.” She then pointed at the downed Marcus and said,” He did nothing to deserve you attacking him, or us.” She then crossed her hooves as she said,” Now I think you should go and think about what you have done.”
The Megakabuterimon did nothing for a moment, as if it was actually thinking about what she said. However, that thought was quickly dispelled, as it raised one of its right arms and smacked her away, sending her careening into a nearby building.
Marcus was dumbstruck and enraged, this bug dare hurt the only pony who has been truly kind to him. This rage was enough for him to forget about his pain and stand tall. He then glared at the Megakabuterimon with hate filled eyes and yelled,” You bastard, how dare you hurt Fluttershy!!”
Just then a bright light began to emanate from his back pocket that grew brighter and brighter until finally enveloping him. After a minute the light dissipated by a pair of large black wings revailing Marcus in Beelzemon Blast mode.
Marcus looked at his new appendages, his arm which was now a gun and a pair of black wings, before looking up at Megakabuterimon and glared. As he glared at the larger digimon he felt his new wings start to spread wide before launching upwards, stopping as soon as he reached eye level with it.
Marcus then raised his new gun arm, pointing it at the Ultimate Level digimons head. As soon as his arm was stable the the mouth of the blaster opened and slowly started gathering a purple energy. The energy continued gather until a ball of purple energy formed, once fully gathered he yelled,” EAT THIS YOU BUG, CORONA BLASTER!!” As soon as he said this the ball of energy was fired, hitting the Megakabuterimon in the chest sending him flying back into the side of a building.
The Megakabuterimon groaned in pain as it fell to the gound, its chest smoking from the blast. After a moment the large digimon began to shakily stand up continuing to groan, both in pain and fear. The large insect then spread its wings before taking off into the air in attempts to run away.
Marcus watched Megakauterimon tried to flee and under his breath said,” Oh you don’t think I would let you get away that easy did you?” He took his gun arm and started to draw a pentagram in the air. Once the pentagram was fully drawn he positioned his arm in the center of it, causing the mouth of of the gun to open up and once again gather energy. Then with a demonic roar he said,” CHARONA DESTROYER!!”
As soon as Marcus said this the energy that Marcus had gathered launched as a beam from his gun hitting the pentagram, expanding to three times it size. The large beam quickly caught up with the Megakabuterimon and overtook it, causing it to screech in pain as it was turned to ash.
Marcus smirked wickedly as he watched as the ashes of the defeated digimon started flying towards him. As they drew close to him his body tensed up as he absorbed the remains of the Megakauterimon, filling him with power. However, this rush he got didn’t last long before he felt himself fall down towards the ground, passing out right before hitting the ground.

Digimon Displaced Adventure
Chapter 5: A Knight and a Demon
For what felt like the longest time Marcus felt lost in an endless sea of darkness. Unable to move, speak, hear, or even taste. He didn’t have any idea how long he had been trapped in this dark sea, it was almost madding. However, a small bright light began to break the darkness he was so accustomed to.
Slowly the light started to grow larger and brighter until it finally overtook him. As soon as the light enveloped him Marcus could hear a faint voice saying, “Hunt for the token and summon the Knight, and doom may yet be held at bay.”
As soon as he heard this voice Marcus’s eyes shot open as he quickly sat up in alarm. He quickly made a quick sweep of his surroundings, his brain racing with questions. After completing his visual sweep he managed to calm down enough to really think.
Marcus closed his eyes while breathing in and out a couple of times before reopening them and asking,” Okay, what the hell?” He then looked back over his surroundings, this time taking his time so he could really make note of where he was. From everything he saw he could tell that he was in some sort of cabin or cottage sitting on some form of a couch. He could also deduce that where he was was very animal friendly given that there were birdhouses hanging from the sealing and some animal beds on the ground.
Marcus groaned and in an annoyed voice said,” Okay either I’m in some sort of animal care place or I have been teleported to yet another weird strange world.” He then had a thought, if this was a new world what sort of form would he be in this time? He then looked down at himself to see what he was now. As soon as he saw his body his eyes he angrily yelled,” WHAT, I’M IMPMON NOW!!”
As he yelled this the sound hooves clacking against wood could be heard from above quickly making their way downstairs. Marcus quickly looked over to the staircase and watched as Fluttershy raced down them and ran over to him. She then gently looked him over while asking, “Oh my goodness, are you alright, does anything hurt?”
Marcus tried to say something but was quickly silenced by a thermometer being pushed into his mouth, causing him to growl a tiny bit as he waited. Once Fluttershy pulled out the thermometer he said, “I’m fine, just wondering what is going and wondering where we are.”
“Oh, this is my cottage. It’s where I take care of all my animal friends,” She explained as she went to the sink and washed off the thermometer. Then as she came she said,” I brought you hereafter that fight you were in with that monster.”
Marcus rubbed the back of his head as he said,” I guess I got pretty beat up back there.” He then looked at her and asked,” So how could you tell that I was me?” He then motioned that to his body while saying,” I don’t exactly look the same as I did before.”
“No, I knew you from the moment I laid eyes on you,” Fluttershy pointed at Marcus with a soft smile. “I knew that as soon as I saw you that you were Beelzemon, but now you're just smaller and cuter,” She giggled as Marcus blushed. “Something in my heart was telling me that, I just can’t really explain it better than that, although I wish I could.”
“I’m not cute,” Marcus grumbled.
“I’m just glad you’re awake now,” Fluttershy said with a relieved sigh. “You’ve been asleep for nearly two weeks.”
“TWO WEEKS! ” Marcus shouted in shock causing Fluttershy to duck down covering her head with her forelegs. Uncovering herself when she felt safe and looked at him with alarm.
Fluttershy then walked over to him and gently put a hoof on his shoulder. She then asked,” Are you alright Marcus?”
Marcus looked over at her and let out a loud groan. He then rubbed his eyes before saying, “Yeah I am fine, that just caught me off guard a bit.” Two weeks, he was out cold for two weeks. That just didn’t seem possible given that his opponent was an Ultimate level and he was a Mega level Digimon at the time. Then it hit him, it was because he turned into Beelzemon Blast Mode for the first time.
Given that he had never gone through such a transformation before, at least of his own volition, it would make sense it would put a massive strain on him. That or the rush of power he got acted like an adrenaline high, and when that high dissipated it just wore out his body.
Marcus slowly took his hands from his face and looked at Fluttershy. Then with a small smirk and a chuckle, he said, “ Well I should thank you for taking care of me while I was out of it.”
Fluttershy raised her hoof and dismissively waved it in front of her while saying, “You don’t need to thank me for anything Marcus.” She then smiled warmly as she lowered her hoof and said,” That what friends are for, to be there for one another.”
Fluttershy’s words set something off in Marcus’s heart causing him to smile a little more. He then quietly said, “Well thanks anyways, my friend.” He then took a deep breath as he swung his legs over and hopped off the couch while saying,” Anyways I think I have taken up enough of your time, I should get out of here.”
Fluttershy worriedly looked down at Marcus and said,” Oh you don’t have to leave just yet, we don’t know if you fully okay yet.” She then quickly walked over and picked him up and set him back on the couch.
Marcus groaned as he said, “Fluttershy I am fine.” He then lightly glared at her as he continued, “And don’t pick me up like that again, it’s embarrassing.” He knew that he was shorter than her now, but come on picking him up like a child was really degrading.
“You’ve been asleep for a very long time Marcus and you haven’t eaten anything since you’ve been up,” She stated in a stern tone. “You may think you’re alright but for all I know you could fall over from exhaustion or from malnourishment. Let me fix you something to eat before you overexert yourself.” She then gave him one more stern stare before walking to the kitchen to make him something to eat.
Marcus groaned as he leaned back into the couch and just waited for her. However, his head started to hurt, causing him to hold his head in shock. As he held his head a familiar voice rang in his mind saying, “Hunt for the token and summon the Knight, and doom may yet be held at bay.”
Just as fast as the pain came it dissipated, leaving him there to think of what the voice said. “What the heck?” He questioned himself in confusion. “Find a token and summon a knight to hold off doom. What the heck does that mean? What does a token even have to do with a knight and what does any of this stuff have to do with me?” Marcus turned his head to a nearby window. “Sorry Fluttershy but I need some fresh air to clear my head and help me think.”
Marcus hopped off the couch and walked over to the window and opened it just as Fluttershy started to trot back into the living room with a tray of sandwiches and tea on it. As she entered she saw Marcus climbing out the window and quickly set the tray on a nearby table and chased after her friend. Meanwhile, Marcus landed on his feet just outside on the ground.
“Now for a walk,” He said, taking a deep breath and letting out a long sigh of relief. Marcus started to walk in the direction of the field behind Fluttershy’s house.
“Stop right there mister,” he heard Fluttershy behind him. Marcus simply stopped knowing there was no point in dissuading the butter-yellow pony. Once Fluttershy closed the gap between them and got on to the Digimon for so blatantly jumping out a window she decided if he was going for a walk then she would join him on it to ensure that he was going to be okay.
“Why’d you jump out the window instead of just using the front door?” Fluttershy scowled at Marcus as the duo walked along.
“I needed some fresh air and the window was the closest exit.” He then crossed his arms over his chest and said, “Besides the front door is too obvious, where's the fun in that.”
Fluttershy sighed as she shook her head while saying, “That isn’t the point Marcus, you should be resting right now.” She then stared at him sternly waiting for his reply.
Marcus stared back at her and said, “I am not some snot-nosed brat or some wounded animal that needs your help.” He then turned around and literally started ninja jumping away from her, covering a lot of distance fast.
As he jumped away he could hear Fluttershy calling after him, but he didn’t stop. He kept jumping farther away until finally entering the outskirts of the Everfree forest. After jumping into the depths of the forest he stopped to catch his breath.
While Marcus was catching his breath the snap of a twig could be heard.
Marcus looked around to see what broke the stick and noticed something large, yellow, and anthropomorphic. However, as soon as he saw it the creature began to run deeper into the forest.
Marcus couldn’t believe what he had just seen, but he did now he couldn’t let it getaway. He once again started jumping after it. The two continued this little game of cat and mouse until the creature stopped next to the base of a tree. Not too long behind he landed hunched over out of breath and wheezed out,“Ya..done..running..now..or..what?”
Once he managed to catch his breath he looked up at his target and groaned. He didn’t know what force in the universe was messing with him, but he could tell one thing. Whoever, or whatever, it was they sure knew how to make things ironic, it being a Renamon who he was following.
Marcus and the Renamon looked at each other, not word passing between the pair. Marcus then growled as he yelled, “WELL, YA GONNA SAY SOMTHIN OR NOT!?!”
The Renamon didn’t say anything, but what she did instead, pointed up into the tree she was standing under.
Marcus looked up at the tree and noticed something hanging in the branches. He then looked back down ready to ask the Renamon what that was, but she was gone. He then grumbled as he walked over to the tree while saying,” dumb fox face, being all cryptic and crud.”
Marcus then started climbing up the trees, making sure he wouldn’t fall. Finally, after a few minutes of climbing, he reached the branch holding into the object he saw before. Now that he was up there on the branch he could see that what he’d seen was a black headband with a red four-star on it.
Slowly then he started to inch his way over to the headband, each step causing the branch to squeak like it was about to snap. As soon as he was close enough he grabbed the headband and descended back to the ground.
Once on the ground he looked at the headband and asked, “Okay, now why was this in a tree, and why did that Renamon lead me to it?’ He then started examining it and noticed something written in the headband with glowing letters. Not wasting a moment he started reading it out loud saying, “If you seek truth and aid in helping the weak and in need, call forth the Anti-Magic Knight. What kind of a cooky saying is this? And who writes on headbands?”
As soon as that final word left his lips the glowing letters started to glow even brighter, both blinding Marcus and forcing him to drop the headband. Suddenly in front of him open a large swirling black and red swirling portal. Out of the portal fill something or rather someone, a human.
The human was a man with ash blonde hair tied back in a ponytail that reached down to his shoulders while it was spiky on top of his head. On his forehead was a headband that was a match for the one Marcus had found. The man was wearing a black leather trench coat over top of a light blue shirt, black pants, and black boots that were completely covered in dried blood. The man was half asleep as he sat up from where he’d landed from exiting the portal to reveal a black bull skull over top of a star outlined in gold.
The man sleepily looked around, “Shy, is breakfast ready?” he called out as he flopped back down on his back and started to snore with a snot bubble steadily rising and falling as he slept.
Marcus blinked a couple of times before walking over to the unconscious human and asked himself,” Okay what the heck.” He then smirked as he raised one of his fingers, causing a small flame to spark on his fingertip. He then flicked the flame at the unconscious human's face. He knew that doing this might not be the best thing to do, but he knew this would be the best way of waking him up.
The flame hit the human’s face but it merely bounced off and caught the grass on fire as the human continued to snore. The snot bubble suddenly popped and the human slowly opened his eyes to reveal a set of bright fluorescent green eyes. He sat up and stretched his arms towards the sky as he let out a rather large yawn. He steadily looked around as he scratched his chest and then he saw Marcus who was nervously smirking at the human.
“Hehe, an Impmon, weird dream,” the human said as he looked around. “Why am I in the Everfree Forest? Oh fuck,” he slapped his face, hard, and slowly dragged his hand down his face and then looked at Marcus again. “Hey, Impmon. Are you the one who summoned me?”
Marcus crossed his arms and said, “Okay first off pineapple head the name isn’t Impmon, it is Marcus. Secondly, yes that was me, I guess.” He then sighed as he rubbed his temples with his hands as he said, “Honestly with how my life has been lately I don’t know anymore.” He then looked up at Asta and asked, “ So ya got a name, or should I just stick to calling you pineapple head?”
“My name is Asta Ferris,” the human crossed his arms. “And I’m guessing you’re the resident Displaced? And I’m guessing you have no idea what that means going off that look on your face?”
“Displaced? What the heck is a Displaced?” Marcus exclaimed as he crossed his arms.
“We’re Displaced,” Asta pointed between himself and Marcus. “Short for Dimensionally Misplaced. We’re humans, some like you that used to be human, that have met up with interdimensional beings that sent us and others to different versions of Equestria or some other world in the multiverse. It always has to do with My Little Pony in some major way.”
“And how the heck did I bring you here?” Marcus pointed at Asta with a confused tone as he scratched his head.
“You found my token. Any item that we send out into the Void that winds up in other worlds with a say that we attach to it,” Asta pointed to his headband. “When another Displaced finds the token all they have to do is say the saying our I summon yada-yada and poof the Displaced is summoned. The one being summoned can deny the request though. I’m guessing that I thought your voice summoning me was my girlfriend telling me it was time to get up and I acknowledged your request while I was still half asleep.”
Marcus blinked a couple of times before groaning while saying, “Man things just getting stranger and stranger.” He then looked up at Asta and asked, “Wait if you are from a place like this and you have a girlfriend, does that mean you are…?”
“Are what?” Asta tilted his head.
Marcus then groaned as he asked,” Are you dating a pony?” He put his hands up and said,” Ya know what never mind, I don’t wanna know.” He then pointed at Asta and asked,” So mind telling me why you are covered in blood?”
“I’ll answer all your questions little dude,” Asta said as he looked himself over. “Technically yes I’m dating a pony but in my world, the ponies are humans with wings and tails. The unicorns have the focus crystal thing they were on their heads. Earth ponies just look like people with tails, Is there a stream I wash off in around here?” Asta looked around. “The reason I’m covered in blood is because I fought an army of sex-crazed caribou who wanted to reenslave the people I just saved and was too tired to wash up after the battle.”
Marcus just blinked a couple of times and said,” Wow and here I thought that fighting a Megakauterymon was a strange thing to say.” He then sighed as he put his hands behind his head and asked,” So what now, how do I send you back to where you call home?”
Marcus then started marching around Asta while saying, “Because I have the feeling that you don’t go home until we finish whatever I am supposed to do.” He then stopped dead in his tracks and with a smirk asked, “So ya willing to help me out, with whatever it is I am supposed to do?”
“I’m stuck here until you say ‘Our business is done,’” Asta said using air quotes. “Or something along those lines anyways. I don’t have the power to travel through the Void at will like a Void Dweller or my older brother.” Asta looked over to a nearby bush. “So yeah, I’m game, but let my change out of these crusty clothes first.” Asta jumped into the bush and took about five minutes and came out wearing his trench coat over a red t-shirt and black pants with a book glowing a red and black aura floating next to him. “That’s better,” he said brushing off some leaves. “Lead the way to wherever Marcus.”
Marcus gave a small nod and said, “Sure I should probably get back anyways.” He then turned around and started walking away. While he walked away he asked, “So, got anything to talk about?”
“Hmm?” Asta tapped his chin. “Well, usually when Displaced encounter one another they usually give a rundown of what they can do and their powers. They also work out something along the lines of a power exchange.” Asta explained as the duo walked along.
Marcus gave a quick nod as he said, “Alright, if that is the norm then let us do this.” He then smirked as he said,” Well, as you can see I am a Digimon and have all the powers of said Digimon. However, normally I am not an Impmon, I am a Beelzemon.” He then groaned as he looked at the ground in annoyance while saying,” But after my last fight I was apparently forced to dedigivolve into Impmon.”
Marcus then stopped in his tracks and looked up at Asta and asked,” As for sharing powers, the only thing I can think of is this.” He then walked over to Asta and quickly grabbed his grimoire and opened it.
“Don’t touch my Grimoire,” Asta quickly snatched his book back from Marus. “It's very dangerous to someone who doesn't understand it. It’s also very insulting to a magic Knight when someone grabs their Grimoire without permission.”
Marcus blinked a couple of times before glaring at Asta and asking,” Well then how else am I supposed to do this?” Just as he said this in the back his mind he heard a voice saying,” Through the soul, your bonds shall grow, and a new weapon shall be owned.”
Marcus shook his head and said,” Man I hope that doesn’t become a recurring thing, but hey this voice hasn’t lead me wrong yet.” He then closed his eyes and started to create a picture in his mind. As he did this he felt something deep inside him start to grow until finally, he put his hands out in front of him, and in a quick flash, an old Beelzemon Digimon TCG card appeared.
Marcus looked up at Asta and said,” Here use this, put it in your book maybe, and it should give you access to my Berenjena.” Then with crossed arms he asked,” So now it is your turn Asta, what do ya got?”
“I have a publishing spell that lets me give others Grimoires,” Asta said as he took the card and looked it over. “Blast Mode, cool. But back to the Grimoire.” Asta looked at Marcus. “I have no control over what magic you’ll get or the power level of it. All that solely depends on you. See, you have four levels of power when dealing with Grimoires. One to four-leaf clovers. One and Two leaf clover Grimoires are weak to medium strength then three-leaf Grimoires are moderate strength and the most common. Four-leaf clovers are the top shelf and said to bring not only power but luck as well.”
“But I saw yours is a five-leaf clover,” Marcus said pointing to Asta’s Grimoire. “So going off that logic means you’re pretty strong and a pretty big deal.”
“Five leaf Grimoires are outliers,” Asta explained. “In the fifth leaf dwells a demon. See, demons can’t exist in a martial form unless they have a five-leaf Grimoire in Asta’s world.”
“How many five-leaf books are there?” Marcus crossed his arms.
“That I know of, two.” Asta held up two fingers. “That’s what I know from the show my character is from anyway. From the encounters I’ve had, three. My own, my student back home, and one other Displaced. With me as the exception, the others have dealt with darker parts of themselves that manifested as demons after they got their Grimoires though.”
“What does this have to do with yours truly,” Marcu shrugged as he thumbs himself.
“Beelezemon is a Demon Lord Digimon,” Asta held the card up between his forefingers. “Meaning you get a five-leaf grimoire on the spot. Over time you will develop your own demon from your darker tendencies as the Publishing Spell unlocks your magic but also seals some of your dark nature, but in your case, it might be all of it when you get the Grimoire. Which given your good nature already, I highly doubt that’ll happen.” Asta’s Grimoire pages flip tell they reached a certain page. “When using your Grimoire with your demon nature you should air on the side of caution. Think of this as a sort of dual-edged sword. Demon power increases magic dramatically but also lets the demon have a chance to take over your mind. You could have an easier time dealing with though as your technically already a demon.”
“What could happen to me,” Marcus tilted his head.
“Beelzemon is one of the seven demon lords that serves as the icon of gluttony,” Asta said as the pair marched along. “Main he craves more out of life. Not merely greed where he would needlessly want to own everything in the world, but gluttony which craves to be sated with a singular drive usually a hunger for power and dominance. You could end up craving power as Beelzemon from the season three show did and lose yourself in it. The demon aspect of you will prey on this and give you power while consuming your mind and taking your body as its own.”
“Wow,” Marcus said as he held his head in his hand,“ When ya put it that way it sounds like more trouble than what it’s with.”
“Not really,” Asta chimed. “As long as you stay strong and don’t rush forward. You can learn how to draw on the demon’s power. I can do this, for many reasons but the most prevalent is that you need to have a strong mind, spirit, and heart. Don't go it alone either, let your friends help you.”
Marcus gave a small nod as he said,” Good to know. If there is one thing I know it is the importance of friends.” He then chuckled as he then said,” Besides if there is one thing this Impmon know it is that somehow, friendship is the key to unimaginable power.” Then with a smirk he pointed at him and said,” You should know that, being a Shonen character after all.”
Marcus then put out his hand and asked,” So, are you gonna give me that grimoire or are you not.”
“I’d be more than happy to give you a Grimoire of your own Marcus,” Asta said with an apprehensive tone .”But I need a few things in order to make it happen.”
“Well, what do ya need?” Marcus asked as the duo near the edge of the forest.
“First we’ll need a blank book, like a journal you write in. Then we’ll need some top quality ink and a high-end quill,” Asta explained, “Lastly, we’ll need a few drops of your blood. We mix it into the ink and you write your name in the book with it, After that it’s only a quick jolt of pain as I use my Publishing Spell to forge your Grimoire.”
Marcus gave a deep chuckle as he said,” And you called me a demon, this sounds like the beginning of a Fausten Tail.”
“It’s how the spell works. In Asta’s world you’d normally go to the Grimoire Library or have it passed down to you from a family member,” Asta shrugged. “But since neither the library exists and no preexisting Grimoire are out there that I know of, I was given a way to give others their own Grimoire. Don’t ask for details because I can’t give them to ya.” Asta crossed his arms as the duo exited the forest just across from Fluttershy’s cottage. “Oh, so this is where you hold up? Nice to know that someone else stays with Fluttershy.”
Marcus looked up at him and said,” Hey that wasn’t my choice, she took me here after my last fight and healed me up.” He then groaned as he said,” And I didn’t exactly leave in the best way last time I was here.”
Marcus then walked up towards the front door of the cottage and was about to knock, but stopped. He then gets behind Asta and pushed him forward while saying,” You do it, cause I can’t.”
“You shut left in a huff, didn’t you?” Asta looked over his shoulder. Marcus merely scratched the back of his head. Asta let out an annoyed sigh. “Alright, I mean she’s my girlfriend back home so I already have a pretty good idea of how pissed she is. Here goes nothing,” Asta reached for the door handle and pulled open the door to the tiny cottage.
“Marcus!” came a soft but very angry voice.
“Geez, you are in trouble,” Asta said as he looked back to see Marcus trying to sneak away. “No you don’t,” Asta vanished and immediately appeared in front of Marcus placing a hand on his head as he lifted him up. Marcus looked at the knight as he knew he was dead meat as there was no way to get out of his vice-like grip. “I’m not taking the heat for you little dude.” Asta walked into the cottage and set the Impmon on the sofa. “You made the bed now it’s time to lie in it.” Asta remarked as Fluttershy trotted into the room and froze at the sight of Asta. “Right on cue.” he crossed his arms. “Nice to meet you, little pony, my name is Asta Ferris and I’m a friend of Marcus here. I just found out that he just up and left you.” Asta eyed Marcus. “He’s all yours, I'll just be quietly sitting over here.” Asta plopped on the ground crossed legged and cross-armed.
Marcus growled at Asta and said,” Oh I am so going to get you back for this, mark my words Asta.” Just then Fluttershy let out a small but assertive ahem, causing him to quickly look at Fluttershy and gulp. He then rudded the back of his head and said,'' Okay I can tell that you are mad, but hear me out.”
“What were you thinking?!” She sternly raised her voice. “First you ignore me when I tell you you need rest. Then you try and sneak out through the window, no less, while I was getting you something to eat, which you still need to do,” Fluttershy scowled angrily at the Digimon while motioning to the sandwich on a nearby coffee table. “Finally, when I try to help you and get you to rest you storm off, into the Everfree Forest of all places!” She raised her voice as she threw her forearms into the air. “You’re not huge anymore. You could easily have been attacked by timberwolves or something more dangerous.” Fluttershy pointed at Marcus as she continued to scold him. “But you're back now, safe and sound. With a new friend no less.” She smiled as she wrapped Marcus in a warm hug.
Marcus was surprised at first, how could she go from angry to happy in such a short amount of time. He then hugged her back and a familiar feeling washed over him. It reminded him of a feeling that he hadn’t felt in such a long while, not since his mother.
After a few minutes, the two broke off the hug Marcus said,” I am sorry I scared you like that Fluttershy, I just needed to move.” He then rubbed the back of his head embarrassedly as he said,” I have never been one to stay in one particular spot for too long.”
“I guess you and I are a lot alike the regard of never being in one spot for any extended period of time,” Asta looked at Marcus in a somewhat understanding tone. “Being an actor I only ever stayed as long as I needed to for a job until it was time to move on to the next job. I was never close with anyone except my older brother and a couple of friends but after he disappeared I was by myself for the last nine years. I did have my friends but we only ever saw each other a couple of times out of the year at most.”
Marcus looked at him and said,” Well it is good to know that the two of us could relate to one another.” He then snapped his fingers and turned back to Fluttershy and asked,” Oh yeah, Fluttershy I was wondering if you had a blank book and a quill that we could borrow?”
Fluttershy tapped her chin and said,”I think I might have a journal Twilight gave me that I never used, and I should have a quill somewhere.” She then left to find the journal and quill.
As soon as she left Marcus looked at Asta and asked,” Okay how are we going to not get her to freak when you have to get my blood for your spell?”
Asta’s Grimoire floated up next to him and opened to a set page and out came a bottle of ink on a saucer with a sewing needle next to it. “Simple. You prick your finger and add a drop to some of this ink,” Asta to the bottle and poured some of the ink on to the saucer and handed Marcus the needle. “It just needs to be a little bit, enough to completely mix with the ink so the Publishing Spell recognizes you as the Grimoires new owner.”
Marcus looked around before taking the pin and asking,” So you promise this isn’t some deal with the devil kind of thing.” He then crossed his arms and said,” Because I am quite fond of my soul thank you very much.”
“The only deal with a demon to be made here is the one that might come with your Grimoire,” Asta pointed out. “And even then only if you accept its power. Who knows though, maybe you and the demon could work something out to where you stay in control while having full access to its power.” Asta shrugged with a sideways cocked head. “Again, it's if you get a demon in the first place. Technically, you're already a demon and could just straight up get a Five Leaf Grimoire without a demon in it, or it could develop over time. So, still want to go through with it?”
Marcus sighed as he poked his finger while saying,” Technically i’m not a demon, but I get your point.” As soon as blood came out of his finger he made sure it fell into the ink. When his blood and the ink mixed Fluttershy came back from wherever she went with the journal and quill and looked at the two, wondering what the two were up to.
“Now just write your name in the front cover of the book with the ink and shut it afterwards,” Asta pointed at the journal. “Then I’ll take care of the rest. Fluttershy you might want to duck under a table or something as the Publishing Spell can be quite, ah… terrifying for somepony as timid and shy as yourself. Okay?”
Marcus gave a quick nod as he took the book and wrote his name in it, While he did this Fluttershy, reluctantly hid in the kitchen.
“Alright, now that all the ingredients have been mixed all that’s left is to bake this sucker,” Asta smirked as he clapped his hands together and rubbed them. His grimoire turned its page and floated in front of him. He stood up and held his left hand out over his Grimoire. “Grimoire Publishing Magic,” Asta called out and the Grimoire came to life with black lightning.
Soon the lightning shot for Asta’s Grimoire to the Journal. The journal was now surrounded in the black lightning and Marcus stared at it in confusion as the book began to levitate. Suddenly the lightning shot at Marcu enveloping his entire body causing him great pain before he was dropped back on the floor with a thud. Marus looked up through one barely open eye as he gritted his teeth. There he saw the journal turn completely black as it began to warp into a new book altogether.
This new book was a far cry from the journal it used to be. What once was a normal cover, spin, and back turned into solid gold with a five-leaf clover in the center of the cover. The pages seemed to have been turned into what looked like weathered papyrus.
Marcus looked at the grimoire and then at Asta and asked,” Okay that was an experience.” He then walked over and picked up his new grimoire. As he held it he could feel waves of great power emanating from it, telling him to open the book and claim its might. Slowly he reached to try and open the grimoire, but it wouldn’t.
Marcus blinked in surprise before glaring at the book and trying again to open it, this time with more force. He kept at this for minutes before angrily throwing the book and yelling,” The stupid thing won’t open, why won’t it open!?!” He then turned his head towards Asta, expecting him to give him the answer.
Asta threw his hands up in the air giving a shrug. “I’m guessing you have to meet a certain requirement before you can open it,” Asta shrugged. “It might be like some of the items in my own Grimoire. I had to get a dragon before I had access to draconic gauntlets. Mind if I have a look?’ Asta held out his hand.
Marcus shrugged and picked up the grimoire and said,” Sure, go at it.” He then threw it over to him, hoping Asta would catch it.
Asta caught Marcus’s Grimoire and his own floated up next to him and turned to a new page and Asta proceeded to put his hand over the page and out came a purple gem roughly the size of someone’s eye. “Let’s see now,” Asta held his gem up in front of his eye. “Hmm… “ Asta rubbed his chin. “It has a Digivice from Season three on it, see” He held the gem in front of Marcus’s eye and the Grimoire in front of it. “Any ideas?”
Marcus looked at the gem and said,” I have an idea, which would be digivolution.” He then groaned as he said,” Well that or something else like that, hoping that is the first one though.”
“Wait a minute?” Asta said suddenly as he threw his seeing gem back into his Grimoire and turned the pages to pull out the Beelzemon card Marcus had given him earlier. “I think you're right. You need to be Beelzemon before it unlocks. I wonder?” Asta looked at the card and then to Marcus’s Grimoire. Asta then tossed the card onto the Grimoire and it changed into a black D3 with a red chrome ring around its display screen. Then chains of white light appear around Marus’s Grimoire and then the book floats to Marcus and the Digivice to Asta.
“Okay, that was unexpected,” Asta grabbed the digivice and looked it over before noticing writing on it. “Digital Self-Modification, what’s that mean?” Asta looked at Marcus.
Marcus crossed his arms and said,” Well in the show the tamer could boost their partners by using Digi-modify. So if I had to guess then it would probably that, but more on the self then on a partner Digimon.” He then rubbed his chin as he then asked,” But how is one supposed to do that, we don’t have any of the cards or the special blue evolution card.”
Marcus then looked at Asta to say something else, but was cut off by the Renamon from earlier appearing in between the two of them. This caused him to jump back in fear and asked,” Holy hell, where did you come from!?”
The Renamon looked at the two and said,” The sin of Greed has arrived, the mistress needs you both to take care of it.” Then before Asta or Marcus could ask her anything it disappeared into thin air.
“She might have disappeared but her ki hasn’t,” Asta said looking out the window. “A mistress, aye?
Marcus blinked and turned to Asta and asked,” Um Asta are you thinking what I am thinking?” As he asked this true unbridled fear could be seen in his eyes. For if he was right then one of the strongest demon lord Digimon has just arrived, Barbarmon.
Marcus’s eyes shrank to the size of pinpricks as soon as he heard a loud thud. Asta slammed his fist together with a very large grin and a furrowed brow giving off his eagerness to fight a strong opponent. “Hell yeah,” he continued to smile. “I get to face one of the strongest evil Digimon and push my limits. YEA!” Asta roared, sending waves of charisma and excitement outwards.
Marcus looked at Asta with a dumbfounded look, honestly shocked how happy he was. He then groaned and said,” You hear that we have to fight one of the worst Digimon there is and you are happy, are you serious?”
“What, you aren’t?” Asta looked at Marcus in curiosity. “It’s when we face those who are strong and can push us to test the limits of what we can do that can make us stronger. But it’s not just facing strong opponents that can do it but the ideals we stick to as well as those we surround ourselves with. If Impmon in the Series had realized this before he made a deal with Caturamon then so he would have digivolve long before he went back to the Digital World. So.” Asta looked up, holding up a clenched fist. “Where is the evil bastard?” He closed his eyes and concentrated before his eyes quickly shot open to looking at Marcus. “We need to get to Ponyville, now.”
Marcus turned his head to the side and said,” First off, me and that Impmon are two different people, and secondly, how did you know that?” Just then a loud explosion could be heard coming from the direction Ponyville would be in. He then growled as he said,” Oh fine let’s go.” He then jumped onto Asta’s shoulder and kicked him lightly while saying,” Come on get moving, we don’t have all day.”
“First off, I’m not a packhorse,” Asta said in annoyance. “Secondly, I know you’re not the same as Impmon, but as Displaced we also pick up the mannerisms of who we become, unfortunately sometimes,” Aasta said to the side as he ducks out of the doorway as his Grimoire floated up next to him turning its page and a handle came out of it. Asta took hold of the handle and pull out his Demon Slayer Sword. “You might want to hold on tighter,” Asta smirked as he started to run and then threw his sword in front of him while he proceeded to jump on it and the Duo sped off towards Ponyville.
Marcus held on as they took off on the sword and under his breath said,” We could have just taken Behemoth you know, no we had to go by sword.” He then watched as they flew closer and closer to Ponyville and saw Barbamon hovering in the air, attacking the town with his Dark Inferno attack. “Okay two things, how are we gonna beat that and what am I supposed to like this?” He said while gesturing towards himself, still an Impmon.
“Here’s a relative question for ya?’ Asta said as he weaved through flames. “When was the last time you ate?”
Marcus groaned as he said,” I kinda skipped out when Fluttershy was making me something to eat, so yeah it has been a while.” He couldn’t understand how he forgot something so simple when it comes to Digimon. No food then no Digivolve. He then looked at Asta and asked,” You wouldn’t happen to have something on you would you?”
“Let’s see here,” Asta chimed as he reached into his Grimoire and pulled out a simple sandwich. “Good thing I never ate this thing last night, warning though, it’s spicy,” He said, handing Marcus the sandwich.
“You know I wanna ask why you have a random sandwich in your bag, but now is not the time,” He said as he grabbed the sandwich and ate it. As soon as he was done he asked,” Okay now I have the nutrients, now how do I digivolve?” However, before he could get an answer from the corner of his eye saw a black fireball flying towards them. ”Hellfire, hellfire headed at us right now!” He said as he pushed Asta’s face down, for some reason thinking that would cause them to go down.
“Get your hands out of my eyes,” Asta yelled as he struggled to keep balance on his blade. “I can’t see to dodge-” was all Asta was saying as a Hellfire ball hit the Knight Digimon duo head-on knocking them off the sword and flying towards the ground.
As the pair fell Asta hit the ground, causing a small crater to form upon impact, and Marcus to hit the side of a building and bouncing off it. “Okay next time I drive,” He said in a pained voice as he slowly stood up. He then limply ran over to Asta and asked,” You alright man?”
“Yea,” Asta groaned as he summoned his sword to his hand and used to it to get to his feet. “Crystal reinforce bones and skin help but that doesn’t mean it stops the hurt,” he said cracking his neck from side to side. “Man, I don’t know if I’m going to be much help here. I deal in canceling, absorbing, and erasing all types of magic. My other tools are way too big a threat in their own right to deal with a small fry. They’d do more harm than good here and all my Pokemon are back in my world. Christ, I’m up the creek without a paddle on this one.” Asta sighed as he rubbed the back of his head. “I still have Crystal Magic at least, and Ancient Magic as a last resort. I can still use Black Form to raise my power but it won’t do any good unless I can get up close for someone on one for my palms to connect.” He slammed his hand on the guard of the sword driving it two feet into the ground. “Damn it.”
Marcus didn’t say anything to what Asta said and just walked over to him and grabbed his grimoire. He then looked down at the golden book and said,” Then maybe you should get out of here.”
As soon as he said this a cold raspy voice could be heard above them saying,” Well that sounds the smartest move to make, but I am afraid I can’t let that happen.” This caused both Marcus and Asta to look up to see the old looking Digimon Barbamon hovering above them. “ I am afraid I have need of you little Imp,” he said as he pointed one of his long-clawed fingers at Marcus.
Marcus looked at Barbamon and felt his whole body tense up from fear. He knew the power that this Digimon had and knew that if he wanted to he could destroy him without even batting an eye. Then in a shaky voice, he asked,” What do you need me for?”
Barbamon smiled wickedly, showing off the many sharp teeth that fill his mouth, and said,” Oh my dear sweet Imp, it is not you, I need.” He then flew slowly up to Marcus and grasped his chin and lifted him into the air until he was eye level with him. “ I need Beelzemon, which I know you can turn into, so I might complete my plans and achieve are ultimate form.” He then dropped Marcus, causing him to fall onto the ground.
Marcus looked up at Barbamon and thought about what his plan could be. It then hit him and with pure fear in his voice said,” You want to bring about Ogudomon.”
Barbamon chuckled mockingly as he said,” I would seem that you have some brains to you little Imp, yes I want to combine all the sins to become Ogudomon.” He then once again began to float up. As he ascended he said,” I wish to ravage this world until nothing else remains, but to do this I need all the Demon Lord Digimon. Thus far I have six, myself included, now all require is you.” Barabamon then pointed his wand at Marcus said,” So I will offer you a deal, an offer you will not want to refuse. I will stop my attack on this village and let your little friend escape with his life. However, in return, you come and join me in my mission.”
Marcus took a moment and looked at the burning town, watching as the black flames were engulfing serval buildings. Ponies running around in a frenzied panic trying to put the flames out. He then looked at Asta and asked,” What do you think, you still have the choice to go home?”
“My choice to go home is up to you, like everything else here,” Asta said as he pulled his sword from the ground. “But remember, my job as a magic knight is to help those who need it.” he points the sword at Barbamon and then he looked at Marcus, “SO GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF ASS AND THINK ABOUT WHAT THE EVIL BASTARD IS SAYING MARCUS!” Asta roared in anger as he disappeared to reappear in front of Barbamon “Iron palm Ruijin'en (Ape’s Palm).” He thrust his palm into Barbamon’s gut sending the Demon lord hurtling through the sky and then proceeded to walk over to Marcus.
“GRIT YOUR TEETH!” Asta yelled as he nailed Marcus right in the cheek. The Impmon was sent into the dirt and he looked back at Asta and held his face. “If that sick fuck gets what he want’s none of your new home will exist. What about everything that lives here? What about the friends you made? Can make? YOU SAID YOU WERE DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHER IMPMON BUT ALL I SEE IS ANOTHER LITTLE BITCH THAT IS WILLING TO TRADE EVERYTHING HE HAS FOR MORE EVIL POWER!” Asta belted out in anger at Marcus as he continued to scowl at the younger Displaced.
Marcus blinked a couple of times before angrily yelling,” What the hell are you on about, I was just asking if you wanted out before this got to dangerous!” He then growled as he said,” I was going to fight him anyways, I just wanted to know if you were with me.”
“Course I’m with you if you’re gonna fight the bastard, but don’t lie to my face either kid,” Asta continued to scowl. “I used to be an actor and I know how to read people, it was part of my job to become someone else, and the way you spoke wasn’t acting but real fear.” Asta’s Grimoire floated up next to him as he proceeded to pull out his Demon Dweller sword. “I have every intention to carve that bastard into pieces and I have my trump card too. Digimon reformat which is basically a form of Reincarnation,” the book revealed Asta’s next weapon and he released his Demon Slayer and pulled out his third sword, The Demon Destroyer, “And I know it workers, as I used it on a vampire with instant regeneration abilities once. I cut off her arm, it didn’t grow back.” Asta’s gaze shifted to Barbamon as he releases bloodlust and true killing intent that would drown the weakest of souls, causing them to faint.
Barbamo looked at the two and began to scowl while asking,” So I can take it that you are turning down my offer then, such a shame.” It then started to send out it own bloodlust which was even more potent than Astas. Then with a wicked smirk, he raised one of his hands and motioned for them to attack him while saying,” Come on then little fools, entertain me a little bit. Unless you are scared.”
Marcus’s eye twitched when Barbamon brought up being scared and caused him to growl. He then angrily said,” You know what I am tired of you both calling me scared. You wanna see if I am scared.” He then reached to move his grimoire in front of him and started to try and open it again, but this time it actually opened. Once the book was fully open a bright white light shot out and envelope him. Once the light dispersed Marcus had changed into Beelzemon, but not a normal Beelzemon. Instead of his normal leather, he was wearing a long black robe with golden accents and a crimson stole draped over his shoulders. From his back, six raven black wings sprouted, and a large crimson horn sprouted above his third eye. He then angrily asked,” Does this seem like someone who is scared ya big palooka?”
Asta kicked his Demon Slayer and it spun up in the air then he jumped on it riding it over to Marcus’s side. “Lookin good there bud,” He said, placing his Destroyer on his shoulder and the Dweller pointed to the ground as black anti-magic started to waft off the blades. “Looks like all you need was to drum up your feelings to show your true self.”
Marcus looked at his new body and said,” Wow this form really went into the fallen angel shtick didn’t it.”
“That’s how most demon type Digimon lore goes,” Asta looked at the New Marcus. “But you can admire yourself in the mirror later,” Asta pointed his Destroyer at a snarling Barbamon. “We need to deal with that asshole first.”
Barabamon rubbed his chin and said,” Interesting, I have never heard of a Beelzemon quite like that.” He then smiled wickedly as he said,” This should actually be worth my time.” Then in a swift motion, he raised his wand and created a large black ball of fire. “Come now and meet your doom, Dark Inferno”, he yelled as he launched the fireball at the two.
Marcus’s grimoire shot open as he lifted his hand and a large magic circle appeared blocking the fire. Then without looking at Asta said,” You rush him while supporting you from behind.”
Asta crossed his blades in front of his chest and smirked, “Thought you’d never ask,” Asta flew around the circle on his Slayer and straight at Barbamon, Anti-magic coming off his swords. He hit Barbamon head-on but the Digimon managed to block the blow with his wand. “Quick on that draw old man.”
“Impudent Child you will pay most dearly for that,” Barbamon hissed.
“I know you are but what am I,” Asta mocked as he forced his swords together cutting Barbamon’s wand in two. “Lost your stick,” Asta chuckled as he kept up the mocking as he jumped up digging his foot into the side of Barbamon’s head, sending the dark lord whirling through the air into the ground, hard.
“Oooo,” Marcus hissed, “That's gonna leave a mark.”
“And I may be a child to one as old as you,” Asta talked down to Barabmon, no fear in his voice whatsoever. “But I know what power is and you Barbamon don’t even scale to what I’ve seen.” He looked as if he had pity in his eyes, “And not even you can come close to that power.” Asta raised his Demon Destroyer sword and it became engulfed in his Antimagic,” Black Slash ,” He brought a swipe down sending a wave of black demonic energy at Barbamon.
The elder Digimon recognized that if he took the slash head on he would actually take some decent damage. So in defense, he held up his wand to block the strike. While it did keep the attack from connecting with his body, he was sent hurtling towards the ground
Asta flew down to the ground and hopped off his Demon Slayer and let his other two swords fall into the dirt tip first. Marcus looked at the Knight in total confusion. He then turned his attention back to Barbamon but directed his words at Asta.
“What the heck are you doin?” Marus growled at Asta.
Asta also kept his eyes on Barbamon but his speech was centered on Marcus’s question. “I may be a master swordsman thanks to Asta’s skills but what I truly excel,” His Grimoire floated in front of him and opened allowing him to reach in with both his arms then pull them out covered in armored gauntlets.
Asta held up his armored hand, “Getting up close and personal,” He flexed his fingers as he proceeded to drop down on all fours. “Beast Style,” He said aloud as he took in a deep breath and controlled his blood flow, strengthening his body far beyond what was possible.
In the next moment, Asta took off in an instant. Even Barbamon had a hard time keeping up with the knight as he came out of nowhere, sending the demon lord into the air. Asta let loose a fury of attacks on the Digimon as the knight zig-zagged around and around him in mid-air. From all directions, Asta was leaving behind afterimages further confusing Barbamon as he swung trying to hit the knight only for his claws to pass through him.
Asta suddenly appeared overhead and threw the palms of his hands together with his fingers outstretched like fangs, “Shi Ten Ryū Kōgeki (Four Heavenly Dragons Strike)! ” All of Asta’s afterimages followed the original and converged on Barbamon unleashing an ungodly roar and Hell on the demon lord as he fell to the ground bruised and bloody while Asta reappeared next to Marcus and let out a heavy breath.
“I may be able to boost myself for a few hours but those super moves really eat up the time I get in one go,” Asta stood up and cracked his neck from side to side. “He’s yours man.” Asta looked at Marcus.
Marcus smirked wickedly, showing his razor-sharp teeth, and said,” I don’t mind if I do.” Then his grimoire’s pages started to rapidly flip.
As this was going on Barbamon angrily glared at him and said,” You, what do you think you could do?” He then pointed at Asta with his crooked finger and said,” That warrior couldn’t defeat me, all he managed to do was wound me.” Then with a cocky smirk asked,” What could you even hope to do?”
“Fyi, I’m a knight, not a warrior, and I was holding back, asshole,” Asta crossed his arms. “Where’s the fun in a fight if I can’t actually give an opponent a fighting chance to see what they can do and to see if I can push my limits.”
Marcus didn’t say anything, all he did was raise his hand as the pages of his book finally came to a halt. “You wanna know what I can do, then here let me show you. Impaling Darkness!!” As he said this a large magic circle appeared in front of his raised hand, launching ten black tendrils shot out at breakneck speed.
Barbamon smirked as he quickly took to the air and mockingly said,” If this is all you have to offer then I have nothing to fear.” However, as he said this he noticed the tendrils quickly turn up and chase him. The elderly Digimon tried desperately to shake the tendrils, but no matter where he went they followed until finally, they caught him. Each tendril piercing parts of his body, primarily the arms and legs, keeping him locked to that location.
Marcus smirked as he asked,” You still think there isn’t much I can do?”
Barbamon growled as a small amount of blood started to flow from his mouth and spitefully said,” If you truly think this will ever be enough to beat me then you are mistaken.”
Marcus shook his head and said,” I know this wouldn’t be enough to code you Barbamon, I just want to show you not to mess with me.” As he said this anyone could see his eyes become more serpentine. He then raised his free hand, causing another magic circle to form. However, in the center of this circle, a small ball of energy started to form and constantly be pulling in energy but never growing larger. After a couple of minutes of charging he moved his hand so the attack was aimed at Barbamon. “ DARK JUDGEMENT!” he yelled at the top of his lungs, causing a massive beam of energy to shot out and engulf Barbamon.
“That had to sting,” Asta chuckled.
Marcus just chuckled as he watched as Barbamon slowly fell float to the ground, bleeding from multiple areas.
Barbamon growled as he said,” I have to admit you both are stronger then I expected, but that isn’t enough to destroy me.” The elderly Digimon then waved his arm to the side, opening what seemed like a large circular gate appeared and opened up. Inside the gate what looked like a black ocean could be seen. He then said,” For now though I think I shall take my leave.”
“Marcus,” Asta called out to get the Displaced attention. He grabbed his Demon Destroyer Sword and charged the blade with Anti-magic. “Catch,” Asta tossed Marcus the blade as he took his Demon Dweller sword in hand and took off riding on his Demon Slayer. “You’re not going anywhere, Black Meteorite! ” Asta yelled as he flew towards Barbamon in a streak of Black.
Marcus grabbed Asta’s sword as it was thrown to him and started flying towards Barbamon alongside Asta. Right as the two got to him they both raised their swords and slashed down across his chest, causing two large gashes to form across his chest.
Barbamon groaned as he flew back into the portal and said,” Next time we meet Beelzemon, you will be mine.” Once Barbamon was fully through the portal it then closed, not leaving a trace.
“Evil bastard,” Asta said out of spite as he spat on Barbamon blood that had fallen on the ground. He then turned to Marcus and held out his hand. “I’ll be taking my sword back now. If you hold on to it any longer then your magic will be completely depleted.”
“Ah, Sure,” Marcus said with a bit of unease in his voice as he handed the blade back to its rightful master. Asta then swung it to the side and threw the evil blood off it before he swiftly returned it back to its rightful place in his Grimoire along with his other swords.
As Marcus gave back the sword he started to glow again, and it only dissipated when he was turned back to an Impmon.
“I guess that you’re gonna dedigivolve after every fight if you use up all your energy,” Asta tilted his slightly. “So, you think he went to that Dark Ocean dimension from the second season?”
Marcus looked up at Asta and said,” Well I don’t know about normal Beelzemon, but it looks like with the forms I do.” He then groaned and as he said,” Well that is what it looked like.”
Just then the Renamon from before appeared in front of the two in a swirl of leaves. It then gave a small bow while saying,” Congratulations warriors, you have done well in fending off Barbamon.” She then straightened back up and walked over to Asta and said,” In honor of your help, my mistress would like you to have these.” She then handed him some modify cards for his digivice.
Asta happily took the cards from the Renamon and proceeded to return her bow, “Tell your mistress it was a pleasure to deal with the evil bastard and I will gladly do it again should you need my aid in the future.”
Renamon gave Asta a slight nod before turning her attention to Marcus. She then said,” For you small one my mistress has nothing for you at this time, but her deepest thanks.” She then backed away and said,” Until we meet again warriors.” Then just like she arrived, she disappeared in a vortex of leaves.
Marcus crossed his arms as he said,” Well that seems a bit unfair, but whatever.” He then looked up at Asta and said,” Well it would seem that our business is done.”
“It would seem so my small friend,” Asta smirked as a portal opened up behind. “I need to give these things a test and this seems to be the right time,” Asta held up his cards and Digivice in front of him with his arms crossed. Asta shuffled through the cards and picked one as he got a wicked smirk on his face. “You keep on the straight and narrow okay Marcus. Be Careful of the Displaced as not all of us are… uh…. Good at heart.” He held up his cards and Digivice while yelling out, “DIGI-MODIFY!” Suddenly the Behemoth appeared in front of the two but its color scheme was inverted. “Cool,” Asta jumped on the machine and revved the engine. “Sweet, anything else before I take off?” he looked back to Marcus.
Marcus glared at him and said,” That better be a copy and not the real one or I swear you are dead.” He then let out a whistle to call Behemoth and his Behemoth came driving towards him, parking next to him. Then with a quick nod, he said,” I don’t think so, especially since I now know we both have our own Behemoth’s.” He then offered his hand for Asta to shake while saying,” It was nice to meet you, Asta, our business is done.”
Asta took hold of Marcus’s hand in a firm grasp and gave it a shake,” It was my pleasure little man and do keep a clean nose,” He smirked as he released Marcus’s grip. “And be good to the little pegasus, she’s only looking out for the way she knows how,” Asta placed his hands on the Behemoth’s bars and the machine roared with an eagerness to burn rubber. “Let’s do this!” Asta revved the engine again and took off into the portal returning to his own world from whence he’d come as the portal closed behind him.
Marcus gave a quick nod and turned around and readied himself to head back to Fluttershy’s cottage. However, as he turned around he was greeted by four ponies. One had a horn, one had a horn and wings, and two others with neither. Then one of the two normal ponies, who was orange and had a cowboy hat, threw a lasso around him. He then groaned as he said,” Well...shit.”

Digimon Displaced Adventure
Marcus sat in the center of a room made of crystal with what looked like a crystal conference table, hog tied and surrounded by a group of four ponies. Two of them being normal ponies, one being orange with a blonde mane and a cowboy hat as well as a pink one with pink puffy hair. While the other two were a white unicorn with a purple mane and purple pony that looked like the love child of a unicorn and pegasus.
The purple unicorn/pegasus thing glared at the tied up Impmon, which caused him to slightly fidget. “Um you mind untying me here miss purple, these ropes are kinda starting to chafe”, Marcus said while showing his bindings, but just received an even harsher glare.
The uniasas, a name that Marcus decided on, said,” No, those ropes aren’t coming off until you answer a couple questions. Also the name is Twilight Sparkle, not miss purple.”
Marcus rolled his eyes and asked,” Okay then Twilight Sparkle, what exactly are these questions that you have for me?” He looked at the other ponies beside Twilight and said,” I assume the rest of you have some questions as well.”
The orange pony said,” No not really, Twi is the one with all the questions. The rest of us are just ta make sure you don’t scurry off.”
Marcus shrugged as he said,” Fair enough i guess.” He turned his attention to Twilight saying,” So shall we begin, what are your questions or should I start guessing what you want ot know? Because I think I know at least one of them.”
“Oh and what do you think that would be?” Twilight as with a mixture of interest and scepticism.
With a cocky smirk Marcus said,” Well I would bet good money that your first question is what exactly am I.” As he said this Twilight gave a small nod to show that he was correct. This caused him to smirk as he continued,” Well to answer your question I am a Digimon, a Digital Monster.”
“A Digimon, I have never heard of such creatures” Twilight said in a somewhat annoyed voice. She turned her attention towards the other ponies to see if they knew anything. However, they all just shook their heads. She sighed as she looked back to Marcus and asked,” Okay then, what about those other creatures?”
Marcus smirked as he said,” Well the two creatures I fought were also Digimon, a Megakubterimon and a Barbamon to be exact.”
The white pony turned her head to the side and asked,” Um excuse me darling, but are those their names or what they are.”
Marcus looked at the white pony and said,” Well technically it is both. You see a typical Digimon’s name is also the name of that species of Digimon. However, that “name” of a digimon changes as we grow stronger and goes through a process called digivolution.”
The white pony gave a quick nod before asking,” I see, then what might your name be?”
Marcus began to smirk once again as he said,” I am afraid it is impolite to ask someone that question before giving your name first.”
A light blush appeared on the white ponies face as she said,” Oh forgive me darling, that it quit unlady like of me. My name is Rarity, charmed to meet you.”
Marcus gave a polite bow and said,” My name is Marcus and I am a Impmon.”
“Wait a minute I thought you said that for Digimon their species name is also the name they go by?” Twilight asked in a rather harsh, and a tad bit angry, tone of voice. With narrowed eyes as she said,” Unless that was a whole bunch of nonsense.”
Marcus shook his head as he said,” Nope, everything I have told you is the truth. It is just that I am different then most other Digimon is all.” The ponies looked at him as if to tell him to go on, which just made him sigh. He then said,” Look I wasn’t always a Digimon, that is all that I can tell you.”
The orange pony scoffed as she angrily said,” What in tarnation do ya mean, how can ya just start being what ya are?’
Marcus shrugged as he said,” Like I said all that i can tell you is that I didn’t always used to be a Digimon. I would love to tell you more, but I am afraid that I myself am still trying to figure it out myself.” As he said this he gave them a look as if to ask not to press the matter anymore.
The orange pony was about to say something, but was stopped by Rarity who said,” Applejack darling, if he can’t tell us any more than that then we should move onto another question.”
Applejack sighed as she said,” Fine, but there is somethin else I want to know.” She inched closer to Marcus until she face to face with her and asked,” What about those other two, the ones with them bird wings?”
“Oh that was me” Marcus said like it was no big deal.
Applejack looked at Marcus as if he was crazy and harshly said,” What in tarnation are you going on about, you ain’t look nothing like those two!” As soon as she finished a puff of smoke shot out of her nostrils.
Marcus sighed and said,” Like I was saying earlier with the names, we Digimon go through a process called Digievolution. Which is a proses in which a Digimon transforms into another Digimon, you can kinda think of it like growing up.”
Twilight raised an eyebrow towards and asked,” But if this “digievolution” is like you say, then why are you like this now?”
Marcus looked himself over as he said,” Well I did say it is kinda like growing up.” He looked back up at Twilight and said,” You see a Digimon can revert back to a prior form when a certain amount of damage is inflicted, or when we simply run out of energy to sustain the form.” A wicked smirk started to spread and said,” If you untie me and give me something to eat then I can show you.”
“ Yeah right, like we would be foolish enough to..” Twilight said in a a cocky tone before suddenly being cut off by the pink pony tying Marcus and handing him a cupcake. Twilight looked at the pink pony in shock and yelled,” PINKIE PIE!!”
Pinkie Pie looked at Twilight and said,” What he wanted something to eat.”
For a moment everyone in the room just looked at Pinkie in shock. Marcus however, not wanting to let this opportunity to pass him by. He quickly ate the cupcake and stood up. Now with some gas in his tank he closed his eyes as a white light overtook him as he digivolved into Beelzemon.
Now all eyes were off of Pinkie Pie and on Marcus, who just smirked. With a twinge of wicked glee in his voice asked,” So is this enough or do you need more proof?”
Twilight was lost for words for a moment before finally saying,” No I think that was more than enough.” She looked Marcus over before asking,” So what are you now?’
Marcus crossed his arms as he said,” Well this form is called Beelzemon, and from here I can take on two augmented forms. However, to go into those I need special items.” He looked around for his grimoire which was on the conference table. With a flick of his wrist the grimoire flew from the table and into his hand. “This being one of said items” he said as he held the book to his side.
Twilight looked at the book and began to reach her hoof out to touch it, but was quickly stopped by Marcus’s tail wrapping around it. She let out a slight grunt as his metal tail tightened its grip before quickly yanking her hoof back, out of his grip. After a quick look at her hoof she looked to him with a glare and, with venom in her voice, asked,” What in Equestria was that for?!”
Marcus glared back at Twilight and said,” I am not overly fond of people trying to touch something of mine without asking first.” He looked around to see any sort of exit and smiled once he saw one. He started to walk towards the exit, but was stopped when Applejack walked in front of him.
Applejack looked him in the eye and said,” Right sorry sugarcube, but i’m afraid that ya can’t leave just yet.”
Marcus looked back at Applejack and let out a long groan. In one swift motion he reached down and took ahold of his Berenjena, before pointing it at her. “Alright I have put up with this for long enough, so get out of the way or get hurt” he said as he readied himself to fire.
Applejack looked at the weapons and asked,” What ya gonna do with that thing?” Without saying a word Marcus aimed the shotgun in his left hand towards the sky and pulled the trigger, causing a loud boom and crystal shattering to be heard. She along with everyone else in the room looked shocked as pieces of broken crystal feel to the ground.
Marcus aimed his weapon back at the orange pony and the two just stared at each other. The air started to feel heavy, as if the room itself was waiting to see what was going to happen. However, before anything could happen Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy came bursting into the room.
Fluttershy frantically looked around before fixing her eyes on Marcus. She quickly ran up to him and said,” Oh Marcus there you are, I was worried that something bad had happened to you.”
Rainbow Dash flew above Fluttershy and said,” Yo Flutters, read the room a little.”
Fluttershy looked up at Rainbow Dash before looking back to Marcus and finally noticed his weapons where his guns were pointed at. With a gasp Fluttershy asked,” Oh my, Marcus what is going on here?”
Without turning his head he said,” What’s going on here is these ponies hog tied me, dragged me here, started asking me a bunch of questions, and now they are trying to stop me from leaving.” He tightened his grip on his weapons and said,” So if this is how I get to leave then so be it.”
Fluttershy frown as she forced her way in between Applejack and Marcus, causing his guns to now be pointed at herself. She looked up at him with pleading eyes and asked,” Please lower your weapons, and let’s talk about it?”
Marcus didn’t move an inch and just stared at Fluttershy, before letting out a a sigh and lowering his Berenjena to his side. “ Fine, as long as you stop looking at me like that” he said in a defeated voice.
Fluttershy smiled warmly at Marcus and said,” Thank you.” She turned her attention to the Twilight and the other ponies and said,” Alright if it is okay with everypony then I suggest that we call it a day here and if there are any more questions that still need to be answered then you may come by my cabin later.” Twilight opened her mouth to try and object, but was quickly shut down when Fluttershy gave a quick shot of her stare. With a quick nod she said,” Okay then I think we should all call it a day.”
No one said anything at first until Twilight sighed and said,” Fine we can call it a day.” She then glared at Marcus as she said,” However, don’t think that this is over. I will be keeping an eye on you!”
Marcus glared back at Twilight before turning his back to her and walking towards the door. As he walked he said,” Oh don’t you worry, I don’t plan on going anywhere any time soon.” When he reached the doorway he stopped. He turned his head to the side to reveal a wicked smirk and said,” Besides this place has offered me a whole lot of fun, and I imagine things are just going to get a lot more exciting.” He turned his head forward before walking out the doorway.

Digimon Displaced Adventure
Several weeks have past sense the little “interview“ that Marcus had with Twilight and her friends. During that time very little happened, aside from the occasional Digimon attack. However, when he was able to get a moment of peace he devoted himself to training in his different forms. Well that and just helping Fluttershy with her animal friends.
For the first time sense he got to this world he has started to feel at home, and that kinda scared him. So like most well adjusted people, he buried these feelings deep down where they could never see the light of day again.
Now aside from that all that he currently found himself relaxing in his Impmon form on the couch in Fluttershy's living room. He just stared at the ceiling in total silence before saying,” Whelp i’m bored.” Quickly sitting up he crossed his legs and set his hand on his knees and began to think. What could he do to alleviate this boredom?
As he was thinking the front door to the cottage opened and Fluttershy walked in carrying a bag of groceries on her back. She called out,” Marcus i’m back, and I brought groceries.”
This took Marcus out of his thoughts and with a groan said,” Good to know, thanks for the update.” He laid back down on the couch, acting as if he never heard Fluttershy's statement. This eaned him a swift kick to the gut to the gut from a little white demon bunny ironically named “Angel”. “ You little devil I swear to make your end life in the cruelest way possible!” He angrily said while trying to regain the air that was knocked out of him.
Fluttershy let out a defeated sigh as she said,” Boys how many times do I have to tell you not to fight.” A maternal glare then appeared on her face, causing both Marcus and Angel to feeze before backing away. Her glare was replaced by a gentle smile as she asked,” Now Marcus can you please come help me unload these groceries?”
With a groan Marcus jumped off of the couch and started to walk to the kitchen. However, before he reached the threshold he looked back at Angel,still sitting on the couch. A wicked smirk then spread across his face as he raised a single finger, a purple flame igniting on the tip, before he flicked said finger at the rabbit, setting his tail on fire. This caused the little varmint to shriek in fear before running to a near by water dish to douse out his tail.
Marcus chuckled sinisterly, but was quickly cut off when he was knocked upside the head by Flutterhys tail. He rubbed the back of his head before looking up at a very annoyed Fluttershy with another maternal glare aimed right at him. With a shrug he said,” Sorry not sorry.”
Fluttershy shook her head as she walked into the kitchen, followed closely by Marcus who still had a smirk on his face. Once the two had finished unloading and putting away the groceries she asked,” So what do you have planned to do today?”
Marcus shrugged before interlocking his hands behind his head while saying,” Honestly I got nothing, I just don’t know what to do today.”
Fluttershy smiled as she said,” Well if you want something to do then you could come with me to Applejack’s farm if you want? She told me that her and her family were having some problems with finding their trees knocked down.”
Marcus thought for a moment before saying,” Sure, that sounds more fun then doing nothing.”
Fluttershy nodded and said,” Then it is decided.” She crouched down enough for Marcus to climb onto her back.
This was something that Marcus was growing more and more accustomed to, at least when he is in his current form. Of course this wasn’t really a problem given how he could just digivolve into his Beelzemon form and ride Behemoth wherever he wanted to go. But, and he would never admit this, he didn’t mind being carried around every once and a while.
Without a word Marcus climbed onto Fluttershy's back and the two left the cottage, heading for Sweetapple Acers. The ride went smoothly to his surprise. Sure he still got the odd look here and there, but nothing to bad. Once the two got to the farm he jumped off her back and asked,” Okay were here, now what?”
Fluttershy looked around around and said,” I don’t know really, Applejack told me she would meet here.”
Marcus groaned as he said,” Well while you wait for her here I am going to go look around.” Before Fluttershy could disagree or argue he already jumped over a nearby fence and walked into the orchard. As he strolled through the sea of apple trees he gazed up at the fresh fruit ripe for the picking.
A snap of a twig caused Marcus to stop in his tracks. He looked around, trying to spot anything, but didn’t see anything. So he decided to continue his walk like nothing happened.
After a bit of walking Marucs came to a strange clearing. It was if the clearing was not always there. The ground looked torn apart like something had been pulled out and dragged across it. However, at the center of the clearing there stood a single large apple tree with a single patch of moss growing in a almost mustache shape on the trunk.
Something about the tree put Marcus on edge, almost like he had seen the tree somewhere before. Hesitantly he walked towards the apple tree. However, as he drew closer to his target his nose was struck with them most tantalising aroma, like a fresh apple pie had been placed in front of him.
Just as Marcus had gotten to the tree vines suddenly shot down from the trees branches, binding his arms while lifting him into the air. He looked at the vines before looking back to their source. He watched as the once stationary tree began to shake as two wooden arms appeared from bind the trunk, one holding a cane, and a pair of yellow eyes opening in the middle of the trunk.
Like a bolt of lightning Marcus realised why the tree looked somewhat similar, it was a Cherrymon. The only difference being how instead of the cherries it had apples.
The Cherrymon squinted its eyes at Marcus and asked,” Hello little Impmon, what brings you to this quaint little place?”
Marcus shrugged his shoulders and said,” Oh you know, just thought I would go for a walk through the apple orchard.” He then glared as he said,” But right now I seem to be held against my will by an annoying piece of lumber.”
The Cherrymon glared back at Marcus as she said,” Well aren’t you a spirited little demon, quite annoying.” He pointed his caine at the bound demon and asked,” So what shall I do with you?”
Marcus stayed silent for moment before smirking and saying,” Oh you shouldn’t be worrying about what your going to do to me.” His body started to glow with a white light as he continued,” You should be worrying about what i’m going to do to you!” The light then fully encompassed him and started to grow. Suddenly the light disappeared and Marcus had Digivolved into his Beelzemon form. Quickly he flexled out, breaking the vines and fell to the ground.
The Cherrymon gazed warily before julting his arm forwards while yelling,” Vine Attack!!” This sent out ten vines from his branches, all headed for Marcus. However, in one quick sweeping motion of his hand shredded the vines.
Marcus smirked wickedly as he watched the shredded bits of vine fall to the ground. His attention turned back to the arber digimon. He disappeared from Cherrymon’s sight in a blur, causing it to look around fervently. When he managed to catch sight of him again it was when Marcus was right in front of him with his claws ready impale him.
“W-what, please don’t do anything rash!?” Cherrymon asked pleadingly.
Marcus looked Cherrymon dead in the eyes and with a stirn glare asked,” Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t smash you to splinters right now.” He punctuated that the end of the sentence by slowly stabbing his fingers into Cherrymon, the sound of wood snapping echoing as he did so.
The Cherrymon started to shake like a leaf as he said,” I-I can tell you how we got here, how every one of us got here!”
This intrigued Marcus slightly, or at least enough not to take him out right away. He slowly removed his claws and said,” Okay you’ve got my attention, now spill.”
Cherrymon took a few deep breaths to calm down before saying,” Thank you.” He then put one arm behind his back and rested the other on his cane in front of him. “Alright to start off I believe that I should say how I got here. Like many other Digimon I was minding my business just relaxing in one of the many forests when all of the sudden a bright light blinded me. When I could finally see again I was standing in a circle with many of these ponies surrounding me.” Cherrymon explained.
Marcus crossed his arms as he thought about what the Cherrymon said. It reminded him a lot of how he himself got to this world. “Okay then, now how did you end up here specifically?” he asked curiously.
Cherrymon moved his arm out from behind hs back and brushed his mustache while saying,” Well as for how I got here, that is hard to say. One minute I am stuck in hat facility being poked and prodded by those ponies when all the sudden everything went dark for a moment. When the lights finally came back the ponies were gone and the door to my cantonment cell was wide open.”
Marcus cocked his head the side and asked,” Is that really it?”
Cherrymon shook his head yes and said,” That is as far as my memory serves.” He warrily then asked,” So what happens now?”
Marcus shrugged as he said,” Well I have to options. The first being I just end you right here and now, and the second being you getting out of here.” He looked at his claws and acted uninterested while saying,” Either way as long as this all ends soon I don’t really care.”
Cherrymon’s eyes grew wide in surprise, he was allowed to choose what happened to him. He let out a small cough into his hand and said,” Well seeing as I don’t want to be turned into a digiegg, I think I would rather move on from here.” With is melincolik sigh he then asked,” However, to where would I go?”
Marcus groaned as he dragged his hand down his face and said,” I don’t know the Everfree forest, you should feel right at home there.”
Cherrymon raised an eyebrow and asked,” The Everfree forest you say, where might that place be?”
Marcus pointed towards the direction of the forest and said,” Just head that way for a bit and you should find it. Just on your way don’t destroy any more if the Orchard on your way got it.”
Cherrymon nodded and said,” Alright then that is what I shall do just that.” Without another word the Cherrymon rose up, using its roots like legs and walked away. All the while making sure not to do any more damage to the orchard.
When the wooden digimon was no longer in Marcus’s sight he let out a sigh of relief and turned back into his Impmon form.“ Well at least that is taken care of, now what to tell Applejack?” Marcus mussed to himself.
“I recon ya should tell me why my orchard looks like a war zone!” said a very angry southern voice said. Marcus froze in place and slowly turned around to see a very pissed off Applejack and a worried Fluttershy.
Marcus’s rubbed the back of his head and nervously said,” W-well you see..” Deciding now was a good time to make his exit and jumped away. All the while he could hear Applejack yelling at him to come back, but he didn’t listen. He decided he would explain everything later, because for now he had a lot to think about.
Who was the one who let Cherrymon out, why did they let him out, and how many more were released alongside Cherrymon? However, there was one question that struck him more than any of the others. Why were digimon being brought here by the ponies in the first place?
Unbeknownst to Marcus he was soon going to get al the answers he wanted and then some.

Digimon Displaced Adventure
Only a couple days have passed sense Marcus’s and Cherrymons talk in the Apple family orchards. While siting on the roof of Fluttershy’s cottage in his Impmon form he felt himself pondering. The words of the bark covered digimon still bugged him. If Cherrymon was a prisoner alongside other digimon then who let them out, how many exactly escaped digimon are there? However, he could only think of one place that had the potential to have his answers. The very placed where his adventure in this world started, that lab.
If the ponies at that lab summoned him then it stood to reason that they could do the same to others. But just the idea of going back to that place sent a shiver up his spine. Don’t get him wrong he was actually happy with this current version of himself. He had gained unimaginable power, a few new friends/acquaintances, and someone he looked at like a sort of sister. However, to get all this he still had to loss everything that he knew and love.
Marcus angrily growled as jumped to his feet and yelled out,” WHAT THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?!”
Suddenly a voice he heard the voice of a familiar tomboy ask,” Why are you yelling so loud for?” Marcus turned to look at Rainbow Dash who had just landed on the roof.
Honestly Marcus was not the biggest fan of Rainbow. To him she was just like every annoying jock that she had ever seen in every form of media out there. With a slight grown he turned away from her and made a bowl with his hands, which he used to set his head in.” Well I was just contemplating doing something that has the likely possibility to make my life harder.” he said in a annoyed tone.
Rainbow walked up behind him and asked,” That sounds like really annoying.” She then sat down next to him and asked,” You, uhhh, want to talk about it?”
Marcus swiftly raised his head and blinked a couple times. Honestly out of every pony that he has meet since coming to this town he never expected Rainbow to offer such a thing. With a sigh he said,” I was thinking about going to a place I never thought I had cut all ties with.” Pulling his legs close to his chest wrapping his arms his legs before continuing,” The messed up thing is that seems like my only option?”
Rainbow’s brow raised slightly as she asked,” If you don’t want to go to this place your talking about then why consider going at all? What is so important that you need to know anyways?”
Not a word was spoken for a second, just the whistling of the wind buzzing around them. Marcus looked at Rainbow and said,” I need to find out why I was brought here and how many others like me are out there.” Turning his head away again he quietly said,” Besides I would like to get an idea what I might be fighting in the future.”
Rainbow looked at Marcus and sighed. “ So this whole thing is about finding your place and what you are supposed to do?” She said while placing a hoof on his shoulder. This caused Marcus to turn back to her and the twos eyes meet. With a slight smile and said,” It is normal to wonder what your purpose is, but it doesn’t help to worry about it. Like I told Scoot you will find your purpose in time.”
Marcus was honestly blown away. He expected this kind of say from Fluttershy and Applejack, but never from the likes of Rainbow Dash. However, while this new side to the Cyan mare her words did little in the way of helping him with his situation. “While I understand what your getting at that, but I was referring to why why I specifically summoned me.”
Rainbow removed her hoof and with a nervous chuckle said,” Oh okay.” She then rubbed the back of her head and said,” In that case i’m sure that the girls and I would be more than happy to help you out.”
A small smile crept onto Marcus’s face before letting out a small chuckle. “Well I might have to follow your advice Rainbow.” he happily said. Leaning back while using his hands to support him he asked,” So aside from being weirdly nice and offering me advice,did you come here for some specific reason?”
The Cyan Pegsuss eyes grew wide as she said,” Oh yeah I nearly forgot, Twilight told me to come grab you and Fluttershy. Apparently some giant strange book appeared outside her place this morning and has been unable to open it.”
Marcus raised an eyebrow and asked,” Okay so, why would she want Fluttershy to come? More importantly why would she want me to come?” Honestly he and Twilight never really had a good relationship. In fact he only believed she interacted with him due to the fact that she was “curious” about everything that is digimon. Curiosity was to be expected, but what that she did was just creepy.
Rainbow shrugged as she said,” I have no clue, maybe she thinks it has something to do with your Digimon thing?”
This did kinda annoy Marcus that jut because something strange suddenly appeared it they just assumed he was involved. However, given that since he had come to this town every big thing that has happened has been Digimon related. So instead of arguing he just let out a sigh before saying.” I will go and grab Fluttershy then.” After saying this he quickly jumped off of the roof and walking into the cottage and started looking around for Fluttrshy.
After a few seconds of searching Marcus was able to the shy Pegasus in an upstairs spare bedroom where she often uses to let injured animals rest. Upon entering he noticed she was bandaging up what looked like a ferret. Finishing wrapping the bandage around the tiny creatures paw she said,” Alright Mrs. Furry you get some sleep, and make sure to stay off your paws.” The ferret gave a quick nod before laying its head down and going asleep. Smiling turned around to walk out of the room but was surprised by a watching Marcus. “Oh Marcus, what are you doing here?” she asked with a tad bit of startled.
Marcus crossed his arms as he leaned onto the doorframe and said,” Well I have came to get you, Rainbow came to bring grab us. Twilight received a giant random book and she thinks it might be digimon related.”
Fluttershy whined a tiny bit as she said,” Oh dear I hope that everything is alright.” She started walking towards Marcus, picking him up as she passed and setting him on her back.
Now one would think that this would be demining to Marcus, and they would be right. He really hated when she would do this, but begrudgingly he was getting used to this. At least she could only do this while he was an Impmon.
The two exited the Cottage and were greeted by the sight of the Rainbow floating in front of the front door. The sight of Marcus ridding on Flutterhsy’s back making her burst into a mad fit of laughter, causing her to fall onto the ground and roll around while clutching her sides. This continued for a few moments until finally she got back to her hooves and in between breaths asked,” Oh my Celestia, why are you ridding on Flutters back?”
A large vain pulsed on his forehead and with a growl said,” It is not like I asked her to do this, she just decided to pick me up and put her on her back.” He raised one finger on his right hand, a small blue flame igniting at the tip. “Now you will never say a word of this to anyone or I will set you alight get me!?” The tiny Imp Digimon said in a serious tone.
Rainbow Dash smirked as said,” Oh calm down little dude I won’t tell anypony, unless you ever annoy me then I am so telling.”
The flame grew slightly at her words before dissipating all together and sighing. He crossed his arms before saying,” I guess I will have to be okay with that.” Quickly he jumped off Fluttershy’s back and started to walk the direction of Twilights castle. All the while saying,” Now let’s go before my pride takes any more damage.”
The group made their way to the crystal castle all the while Fluttershy constantly apologizing about embarrassing Marcus, to which he just constantly said it was fine. After a few minutes they finally arrived at the castle.
Rainbow Dash was about to knock on the door, but before her hoof could even touch it the two large crystal doors swung open. Standing in the now opened doorway was a frazzled Twilight. Her main looked as if she had been struck by lightning, her feathers were also messed up, and under her eyes were two giant black circles. Basically she looked like she was at the end of her rope.
A small smirk couldn’t help but creep upon his lips as he said,” Wow Twilight, you sure look like you've been hit by the ugly stick.” This caused Rainbow Dash to burst into a fit of laughter and Twilight to angrily groan.
With a sigh Twilight hung her head and in a raspy voice said,” I have been trying to open that dumb book for days. I have tried everything that I can think of, but nothing is woking. Not magic, science, alchemy, not even brute force, nothing I have done even leaves a scratch on the thing.”
Marcus smuggly walked past the exhausted alicorn and said,” So you call in the big guns I get it, just leave it to me.” The group made they their way through the castle and into the castles’s library. In the center of the room was the reason they were there. On the floor in the center of the room was a large black leather book with what looks like the picture of an atom its cover. Surrounding the book there was visible scorch marks, some strangely in the in the shape a pony, as well as some tools scattered around.
Twilight walked in front of the group, standing next to the book, and said,” So, as you can see I am kinda at a loss as to what to do.” With a pleading look in her eyes she asked,” You all wouldn’t happen to have any ideas would you?”
Rainbow Dash shook her head no and looked at Fluttershy, shrink at tad bit a the attention, before weakly saying,” I-I’m sorry Twilight, I have no idea what else you could try.” The Cyan pegasus turned to look down at Marcus and asked,” What about you?”
Marcus didn’t say anything, he just stood there looking at the book. He couldn’t explain it, but something about the leather tome seemed familiar. Slowly he walked up to the book and touched it.
As soon as Marcus’s hand rested on the cover a red light shot out from the pages before bursting open. Everyone in the room jumped back in surprise as the pages quickly turned until finally stopping the middle. Red scribbles started to sprawl across the pages until both pages were covered.
Marcus waited for a moment before walking back up to the book and looking at the scribbles. His eyes bugged out as he recognised that the scribbles were Digiscript, the written language of the digital world. Why was a book of with the digital world writing doing in this world, could it have something with himself and other Digimon being brought to this world. Once again a bright light emanate from the book.
Jumping back Marcus found himself instinctively digivolving into Beelzemon and drawing his Berenjena at the book. Slowly a robed humanoid with a pair of tan wings slowly raised up from the light until it was hovering mid air above the book. The Figure slowly moved its arms out to the sides causing a pair of orbs to appear above each palm.
A pair of small yellow circles appeared where eyes should be in its hood. It scanned all the occupants of the room but stopped when it spotted Marcus. “ Ah a Beelzemon, this is quite rare.” It then turned its attention to Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and finally Twilight and said,” Odd I do not think that I have any information on these Digimon.”
“Hey we aren’t Digimon, we are ponies!” Rainbow Dash angrily said while flying into the beings face.
The being cocked its head to the side and said,” Hmm, a pony. Given your bodies then maybe a you seem akin to Pegasusmon.”
Marcus let out a small sigh as he holstered his guns while saying,” No she has no relation to Pegasusmon, none of them are related to Digimon. So don’t get any ideas Wisemon.”
Twilight looked surprisingly up at Marcus and asked,” Wait you know what this creature, is he a Digimon like you?” Her mind was wracked with so many questions. Honestly with how intense she was made Fluttershy just shrink next to Marcus.
Marcus didn’t bother to look at Twilight as she said,” Yes he is a Digimon like me, and as I just said his name is Wisemon. Not much is known about him, but those stones and the book are a different story. First of is that book.” He pointed at the book itself and said,” To but it in simple terms it is just a gate to anywhere and any time it is connected with. Also there is debate on whether that is book is its true form.”
All eyes shifted to Marcus, Schock from the girls and a neutral one from Wisemon himself. Fluttershy then piped up and asked,” W-what do you mean by its a gate to anywhere or any time?”
Marcus pointed at the book as he said,” Basically that book can take Wisemon through space and time to a destination of his choosing as long as the book is connected.” He moved his hand to point at the two stones before saying,” As for those things, they are able to able to playback a record of an area. Thus preserving every object and event of the Digital world.”
“It would seem that would seem that you know much of me Beelzemon, yet this is are first meeting. So tell me how do you know so much of me?” Wisemon said while rubbing his chin.
Marcus crossed his arms and with a smirk said,” Hey you have your records and I have mine and lets leave it at that.”
Wisemon removed its hand from its chin and moved it back to where it was prior. In a neutral tone he then said,” Very well then, now tell me for what reason have I been brought here.”
Without uncrossing his arms he pointed his thumb towards Twilight and said,” Blame that one over there. For some reason she was sent your book and was going mad trying to open it, which I did.” Moving his thumb back to where it was prior and asked,” So you know why your book suddenly was brought here?”
Wisemon looked at Twilight and in a neutral voice said,” I have no knowledge as to why my book was brought to thai place, but maybe there is a way to find out.” Slowly he moved his hand over which the time stone shown bright until it completely enveloped everyone in the room. Once the light dissipated the group found themselves in a completely different environment internally. Where once was a messy library was now a laboratory.
Sitting on a table in the middle of the room was Wisemon’s book. Everyone looked towards the book when the woosh of a mechanical door opening behind, catching their attention. Entering through the door was an elderly unicorn mare, with white fur and a short gray mane, and wore a labcoat and thick glasses.
The mare walked up to the book and lit her horn with a silvery color. A tape recorder floated out her labcoat, bathed in the same silvery color. She then said,“ Quantum Rift’s log, entry 1: Subject #012. Upon completion of the latest transdimensional ritual, an unknown object appeared instead of one of the creatures that has been summoned prior. The closest approximation to the object that we have would be an average book.” She set a hoof onto the book before continuing,” Several attempts to open the object have been, unsuccessful to say the least. Also all magic scans have come back inconclusive.” Slowly removing the hoof and in a groan said,” It is unknown as to why this thing was summoned, the alterations made to the ritual should have brought an ultimate level monster or greater.”
Quantum Rift turned her back to the book and began to walk out of the room. With another screech the door opened up and she said,” It would seem that further tests would be a waste of time. Recommendation, the book should be handed over to Princess Celestia as a “gift” for the increase in are budget. This is Quantum Rift signing off.” The tape recorder stopped and floated into her labcoat as the scientist mare walked out of the room.
Suddenly a bright flash once again overtook everyone in the room. Once the light disappeared the group once again found themselves in Twilight’s library. Wisemon then said,” I would imagine from there things are rather plane to see.”
Twilight gave a nod as she said,” Yes, it would seem that after giving your book to she passed it to me after being unable to being unable to open the book herself.” Raising her hoof to her chin and asked,” I do wonder though, how much does the Princess about all of this?”
Suddenly was dragged from that train of thought when Marcus asked,” Hey Twilight, where exactly is the Princess at?”
Twilight turned to look at Marcus who’s eyes seemed to be have been shrouded in darkness. With raised eyebrow she said,” Well Princess Celestia lives in Canterlot, it is that city on the side of the the nearby mountain. Just head outside and you will see it, why do you ask?”
Without saying a word Marcus suddenly brought his pointer finger and thumb up to his mouth and let out a ear piercing whistle. As he whistled Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Twilight covered their ears to try and protect their hearing. When he finally stopped, and everypony uncovered their ear, loud crashing could be heard getting closer and closer. Suddenly Behemoth crashed through the libraries doors and drove in front of him.
As Marcus mounted Behemoth Fluttershy frantically asked,” M-Marcus, what are you doing?”
Without even looking at Fluttershy Marcus said,” I am going to get some answers.” He then revved and made Behemoth do a wheely before peeling out of the room, and castle. This was his best chance to find out why he was brought to this world. He didn’t know what sort of info this Princess had, or even if would actually help, but he knew that he had to try and nothing would get in his way.

Digimon Displaced Adventure
With a groan, Marcus slowly started to wake from his slumber and grogally asked, ”What happened, where am I?” As he gradually regained his senses he could feel his arms raised upwards. In his groggy state, he tried to pull them down but they didn’t move, instead, all that happened was the rattling of chains.
This noise was the last catalyst for Marcus to come to finally completely rejoin the land of the living. Quickly he moved his head to look upwards at his raised arms and was shocked to see not only that they were chained to the wall but they were the arms of an Impmon. Trying his best to recall the events that happened prior to his sudden nap. His eyes then shot open as he remembered his fight with Knightmon and how two other digimon got in his way. “Crap who were those two?” he angrily asked.
“That would be the personal partners to the Princesses Apollomon and Dianamon” a voice suddenly cut Marcus off mid-thought. Snapping his head to look where he thought the voice came from. Through metal bars, he could see Shinning Armor and just growled.
Shinning Armor sighed as he lowered his head and asked,” I can see that your little nap hasn’t helped your little attitude.” He raised his head as he walked up to the prison bars and set a hoof on one of them. With a slight smirk he said, “Maybe a little bit of a timeout down here will help you cool off.”
A large vain appeared in his head as he yelled, “If you don’t let me out of here right now then I will not hesitate to level this city to smoldering ash!” He then started to thrash around in sheer anger, the chains that bound him.
Shaking his head he removed his hoof from the cell bars and turned his back to the Impmon. He quickly left the cellblock, Marcus screaming the whole while. He just figured that the tiny digimon would just ware himself out. However, he stooped dead in his tracks as a bright light appeared behind him, sending his shadow in front of him.
The royal guard captain slowly turned around once the light was gone and noticed it had just gotten a lot quieter. His eyes shot wide as he ran back to Marcus’s cell and found it empty, his shackles just hanging there. With a groan he slumped forward as he said, “This is going to be such to report.”
In the Black Clover Kingdom, the first queen was sitting with the princess in the nursery letting her play. Fluttershy was hoping to were her daughter out so she could feed her and then lay her down for her much-needed afternoon nap.
One of the council members then knocked on the door, “Your highness, it’s Tinder may I enter?”
“Come in Tinder I’m decent,” Fluttershy called out as she rocks her little girl.
Tinder opened the door adorned in his day-to-day garb and haori with his position as head of the council stitched on the back.
“Sorry to interrupt you,” Tinder bowed looked her straight in the eye, “But You’re the only member of the court in the palace right now so I must have sign a few things straight away.”
Fluttershy let out a sigh, “Very well… Haze!” she called out.
“Yes your highness,” A tall and buff Pegasus man emerged from the shadows.
“Please watch over Aurora while I step out in the hall for a moment,” She ordered.
“Yes ma’am,” Haze bowed then took the giggling princess from her mother.
“Be good sweetie,” Shy said as she stepped out.
Haze set the little pony girl on the floor and began to play with her. He then got a message over telepathy and had to take it so he stepped out of the way while the baby played with nearby toys when something shiny caught her attention.
Aurora quickly crawled over and found something that shouldn’t have been there. I card with an intricate picture on it.

Picking it up the baby could hear words from nowhere but simply giggle and eaves the cards around. Soon a portal opened up next to her with a strange impish-looking creature walking out of it. The baby stared for a moment then clapped her hands at the show as the portal closed/
Marcus blinked a couple of times before looking around while asking, “Okay where the heck am I?” He then noticed the little baby humanoid pony pointed at it and asked, “Hey you, you the one who brought me to this weird place?” Raising his left hand a blue flame ignited as he said, “I warn ya right now, I have not had the best day and am rather pissed so ya better tell me why I'm here or your gonna get a taste of my bada boom.”
Aurora only clapped her hands and giggled at his fire. She forced herself onto all fours and crawled over to the strange new toy and reached out, pawing at the flames.
Marcus blinked in surprise as the baby got closer to him and tried to grasp his flame. Using his free hand he tried to push her away while angrily saying, “You're supposed to not want the flame to touch ya!” As he was trying to keep the flame away it ended up falling out of his hand and onto a nearby teddy bear, setting it on fire. “Oh crud, that wasn’t supposed to happen,” he said with slight fear in his voice.
“Smoke magic,” Marcus heard a rough voice as smoke smother the flames. He turned to see a very big and very angry-looking Pegasus, “What are you and how did you get into the nursery? More importantly, what are you doing with the princess?!”
Marcus growled as he called up and said, “Hey I was brought here by this little gremlin and she is currently pawing after me so calm down chicken wings.” He ignited another flame and asked, “Now are you gonna back off or am I going to light you up?!”
Suddenly, Marcus felt something take a very firm hold of his tail. He looked back and saw Aurora clutching it in her tiny paws.
“Ah…” Marcus was about to speak when the baby suddenly lifted up causing Marcus to face-plant. “Wait, does this kid have super strength or somethin?”
His question was soon answered when the baby easily whirled him around by the tail and let go sending him flying into the nearest marble wall.
Haze just blinked then turned his attention back to the baby and went over, picking her up and noticing the card on the ground not far from her. He picked it up and looked it over as Fluttershy reentered the room.
“What was that noise?” she asked.
Haze pointed a the wall.
Marcus groaned as picked himself up from being thrown at the wall and under his breath asked, “Sweet lord, is that thing really a baby? Cause it just threw me like a rag doll.” Shaking his head to focus himself he looked at Haze before looking towards Fluttershy and blinking. With a growl, he said, “Hey I didn’t do anything by choice!”
“Gaia Magic,” Fluttershy said as plants sprang from the floor and form a hand that immediately grab hold of Marcus. Aurora giggled, “Haze, thank you for your service. Please bring her to the bedroom and call a maid while I take care of this Displaced,”
Haze bowed and left the room with the baby.
“Now,” Shy loomed over Marcus with a very scary smile and a menacing aura came from her, “What was it you said about my little girl?”
A large beet of sweat formed on his brow as he nervously said, “O-oh me, I didn’t say nothin'.” With a gulp, he thought to himself ‘This chick will kill me if I piss her off, ” Letting out a small cough he asked, “Ya mind letting me go now…please?”
“No,” Fluttershy said flatly. “You’re staying in my grasp until we speak with my husband on what to do with you. He obviously didn’t summon you as he’s out in the city right now. It only leaves his daughter. The one who just slammed you into the wall. We’re going to the throne room.”
She motioned and walked on with Marcus in toe, “What is your name?”
With a groan, he turned his head away and quietly said, “That is a loaded question.” He looked at her as he said, “Right now you can call me Impmon.”
“Oh so you’re Impmon,” Fluttershy thought, “I know exactly who you are now,” she giggled as they pass a window. As they do Marcus catches a glimpse of a large black dragon snoring peacefully in an open area.
It took him a couple of seconds for his brain to fully take in what he was seeing and yelled out, “Okay where the hell am I, why is there a massive dragon, and how do you know me!?”
“Because my husband told me about you,” Fluttershy says coyly. “I’m not the timid little girl or pony from your world. Here I’m the second most powerful sorceress in this entire kingdom, only behind Twilight because she’s technically a goddess.”
Marcus’s eyes went huge.
“Welcome to the Black Clover Kingdom, Marcus,” Fluttershy smiled as she set him down a pair of grand doors opened into a throne room to reveal an ash-haired man sitting on the throne at the far end of the room.
As Marcus was put down he contemplated running away, maybe through the nearest window but quickly found none of them in the room that were at his level to reach. However, as soon as he saw the man sitting on the throne he pointed at him with surprise and yelled, “Asta, this is your dimension!”
“Universe actually,” Asta corrected his Digi-visitor. “I heard from Haze that my daughter found your card,” he said as he looked over papers, not even looking up. “How it got there is being looked into, but as my daughter can’t properly speak that means your summoning is an accident as no terms were ever stated thus no contract was made, and seeing as she can’t speak or express any real concern to send you back, you’re stuck here in this universe for the time being unless I can persuade an acquaintance to send you back but knowing him, he well but only after what you need is done…” he looked up finally, “You look like hell dude.”
Marcus’s eye twitched as slumped his shoulders while saying, “Well getting sneak attacked by two Mega-level Digimon can do that to a man.” With a sigh as he asked, “It seems fate is obsessed with having princess summon me to new worlds.” Angrily he then ran up to Asta and jumped onto the king’s legs and grabbed his collar while yelling, “Oh and your daughter made me drop my fireball before throwing me into a wall, I think I deserve an apology from you as her father!”
“Why would I apologize for her having fun,” Asta said as he stood up and easily pulled his guest from his clothes. “Time flows slower in your world than here kid. I’m much stronger than the last time we fought Barbamon together,” he set Marcus on the ground. “How about a tour of my capital and some food, or would you still prefer an apology?”
Marcus was about to say he was up for a fight but his stomach suddenly let out a massive roar. With a deep blush, he looked away in embarrassment, similar to how a child would when caught with their hand in the cookie jar.
With a low tone, he said, “I could eat.”
“How about a lunch tour then,” Asta walked on. “Caribou make the best kabobs after all!”
“I’ll see you later Asta,” Fluttershy kissed his cheek. “Be sure and let the others know we have a guest if you see them.”
“Well do,” Asta nods, “Oh, and no wisecracks on how I have four wives!” He pointed at Marcus.
“What, me, I would never,” Marcus said with a delish smirk before climbing onto his shoulder.
With a chuckle he said, “Trust me though I don’t care about your love life bro, just as long as everything is consensual then you do you.”
“All good then,” Asta shrugged. “Come on I'll show ya around the street vendors. We can pick up some good eats. Anything, in particular, you want to do while in my city?”
With a shrug said, “Dude I was brought here randomly by a toddler, who subsequently threw me into a wall. Let’s just get something to eat first so I can get out of this form.” He then lightly kicked his back with his foot while saying, “Onward black knight!”
“Black King actually,” Asta corrected as he led Marcus out of the elaborate place. “Not bad for a ten-second construction aye?”
Marcus looked around and with a low growl and said, “I want to say you are lying in that time frame, but given what I know about you I believe it.” With a cough into his hand, he said, “Marry Sue.”
“Say what you want about me 'cause I wasn’t the one that actually built the whole damn city,” Asta laughed out loud. “I didn’t have a hand in any of the outright construction practically at all, just the post-construction add-ins. I did set up the first outer crystal wall to protect the refugees at first and there’s also the rose garden I planted in memory of my father-in-law, but no I didn’t build this place. All of that glory belongs to my supremely overpowered older brother,” He remarked with an eye roll.
“Oh yeah, you mentioned that you had a brother when you came to my world,” Marcus said as he thought of their last meeting. Snapping his fingers and asked, “Oh speaking of the last time you and I met, there has been something on my mind as of late.”
“Shoot,” Asta waved away a couple of white shihakusho shinigami-looking guys. “Kabob?” He pointed to a nearby food stall.
Marcus looked at the food stand and hopped off Asta’s shoulder and went over to the stand. His mouth was watering as he said, “Meat, real meat. Fluttershy never lets me have anything aside from fish.” He pointed at it food and said, “Please can we get some?”
“Yeah,” Asta chuckles. “Shy never let me deviate from a balanced diet. Of course, you’ve had the pleasure of meeting my first wife already, so you know how she can be when she’s in a mood or thinks various things are going on,” he gave Marcus a knowing look as he slightly cringed at the thought of Asta’s version of Fluttershy.
They stopped at the booth and the vendor gave a bow to his king before Asta held up two fingers. The vendor nodded then quickly pulled out two plates of well-proportioned of several Kabobs. Asta paid the man, or at least what looked to be a human man wearing a silly antler-themed headpiece.
“Here ya go,” Asta handed over the plate that was easily twice the size of Marcus’s head. “Want to sit to eat?”
Marcus grabbed the plate and just held it over his head and said, “I say sit, unless you want to walk and munch.”
Asta raised a hand and two stone blocks popped up behind them. “That stack of food is nearly half your height dude. You really think you can walk, talk, and most importantly, eat all at the same time?” He chuckled while listing off on his fingers as he sat down.
With a shrug he said, “Hey we Impmon are acrobatic Digimon so it more than likely would have been fine.” Quickly he hopped onto the stone seat and crossed his legs as he sat down, setting the plate on his lap. With a smirk, he started to tear into the Kabob like a wild animal. It didn’t take very long before all that remained were sticks. Leaning back he let out a loud burp while rubbing his stomach. With a content sigh, he asked, “Ah much better, a good piece of meat is the best wouldn’t you agree?”
“True,” Asta swallowed while he let his last stick on fire before putting the end of it in his mouth, “but that’s not the real question ya wanted to ask,” he pointed out as he waved the stick out before standing up and tossed both piles in the garbage before returning the plates to the vendor. “So what’s on your mind?”
Marcus snapped his fingers before jumping onto his feet and said, “Oh yeah, I nearly forgot what I wanted to ask.” He then looked him dead in the eye and asked, “Have you ever asked why you were brought to this world?”
“Not once,” Asta shook his head. “I was sent here by chance cause I gambled in a game of blackjack against a Displacer and won this book!” his black grimoire floated up next to him, “While also seeking out leads about my older brother’s disappearance nearly nine years before my own displacement. Why? Do you really need a reason to be displaced? Most of us just are cause of the bullshit we buy from those merchant asshats. Others can be reincarnated or just are because they want a fresh start and new life to live how they want. I’ve never seriously thought about it, to be honest. I guess your answer depends on who you ask and their experiences in their lives both before and after as well as in and out of their current realities.”
“It’s really one of those questions you can have a million differing answers to,” Asta shrugs as Marcus wobbles to his feet and Asta motioned the blocks back into the ground. “What brought this on?”
After steadying himself he looked up at Asta and with a growl said, “I found out that in my world the reason the Digimon were brought into that Equestria is because of the Princesses. Apparently, they learned how to summon Digimon through a ritual and gave somepony the green light, which lead to me becoming a Beelzemon in the first place.” Igniting a flame in his hand he watched it while saying, “I was taken from my home, family, friends, and life because some idiots decided to mess with forces they couldn’t hope to ever control.”
Marcus crushed the flame as an egg-shaped blue light overcame him until dissipated to reveal his Beelzemon form. Turning his attention back to Asta and said, “I want to know what was so important that I had to lose everything, and won’t stop until I get the answers I need.”
“Maybe you should stop trying to force those answers from those who may or may not have something to do with your situation Marcus?” Asta asked as his gaze hardened. “You’re not a normal Digimon like the others remember. You’re a Displaced. The princesses rarely have the power to pull one of us across the Omniverse and totally shifted their species and or gender at the same time of the summoning. If that does happen then they would face a severe backlash and drain of their magic power making them unable to even lift a tissue for a month let only barely able to walk for about a week. I understand you want answers but you’re grasping at straws without even trying to get all your facts straight first kid. Did you even ask Twilight to send a letter detailing what happened to you, to both Celestia and Luna?”
Marcus clicked his tongue as he said, “No, as soon as I found out from Wiseman about this ritual I went to confront them.” With an equally harsh glare, he then poked Asta while saying, “But that is beside the point. Yeah they might not have meant for what happen to me to go down but it still did, and that still makes them responsible. They are the reason my world is lost to me, any dream for my future gone with it.” Letting out a demonic growl he said in quite voice, “So forgive me if I don’t give a damn about what kind of Digimon they meant to call, I deserve to know why any of them were summoned.”
“You’re letting your emotions rule your mind,” Asta knocked away Marcus’s claw with a hard hand as a pressure spread over him making it slightly harder for the Digimon to breathe. “You’re right that you have a right to know why but that doesn’t mean you can tear through anyone else who is just doing what they're supposed to do. You can seriously hurt others in just your Impmon form. Ponies are very squishy and they frighten easily and when frightened they retaliate in force. Which in your case would’ve been justified. You could’ve easily asked Twilight instead of charging up the mountainside like I know did,” he pointed. “Fly,” he said and a blue aura covered Asta for a second and he started to float. “Follow me. You need to hear and see what my actions did to put me in the position I’m on now.”
Asta flew into the sky. Marcus turned into blast mode and followed suit. The duo headed well outside the city. There the Beelzemon saw a massive canyon and an even more massive scorched piece of earth with fresh grass just sprouting up giving it a slight tint of green.
Resting his non cannon arm on his side Marcus asked, “Okay we’re here, what is so important about this place that is supposed to make me change my mind?” Honestly, it was obvious through the deep scowl on his face that his fuse was very short at the moment, meaning he could potentially blow up very soon.
“Twilight, Aj, and Shy were all kidnapped and meant to be sex slaves,” Asta said coldly. “That piece of burnt land is all that’s left of the Caribou's former capital from the night I lost my girls and my sense of self-control. I cut down anyone who got between me and Shy. She was nearly raped physically,” He clenched his fist and even Marcus could feel the outright rage pouring off the mage king. “For good measure, I burned the whole city. In the following times, I killed more and more in the following days and weeks as armies came to try and take my people. At the time it was in the name to protect my girls but if I had taken time to ask around and see what it was like I could’ve prevented so many needless deaths and killing done by my own blade.”
“I am sorry that you had to go through that, but that will not stop me,” He said in a low tone. Looking into the canyon he said, “I offered Knightmon the chance to get out of my way, he was the one who wanted to fight. He assumed that I was going to attack the Princesses, told him I wasn’t, he wouldn’t listen so we fought.” A low growl then escaped his throat as he said, “The only reason he wasn’t gutted is because their partner Digimon to Celestia and Luna, Apollomon and Dianamon, came in with a cheap shot to knock me out. So let's get one thing straight I tried to be peaceful but at this point, if anyone else gets in my way I won’t hesitate as long as I get my answers.”
Asta let out a hard sigh, “I guess trying to tell you is useless then,” he said as he looked back to his city and then back to Marcus, “if can get my point across by speech then I guess I’ll have to use my favorite method. My fists.”
He points to a large arena in the city, “Meet me there in an hour. Take some time to cool off but don’t threaten my territory or people 'cause I won’t be so forgiving if you so much a insinuate anything,” Asta gave a look that meant he wouldn’t hesitate to kill. “The building not far from it is the training academy for my knights and shinigami. Go see Ichigo if you’re still miffed about that. Until then I have things to see to,” he rocketed off back into the city leaving Marcus in the sky alone.
As Marcus floated there in the sky all he could feel is rage. Who was Asta to judge him, what made his approach so wrong?! His teeth started to crackle a little bit from how hard he grinding them together. He then pointed his cannon to the sky, it powering up with purple energy until at full charge, and with a roar that could be heard for miles away fired a full-power Corona Destroyer. As the beam left the weapon it cleared the clouds got in its path until finally dissipating after a couple of seconds. Slowly he lowered his cannon arm to his side as he said, “He will pay for treating me like some dumb kid.” His eyes then started to glow lightly as the hazard symbol appeared on each of them.
“Well, you’re certainly throwing a tantrum like one right now,” came a cocky tone. Marcus turned to see and spiky orange-haired man standing behind him on the air the massive katana on his back a tell tail sign of who he could be. “Could ya not do whatever you just did man? It's partially my job to keep the normies in the city calm and I don’t need them freaking over an invasion or possible hollow attack.”
Marcus growled as he pointed his canon at the orange spiky-haired man while saying, “I don’t care who you are and what you do pineapple head! I am pissed off enough and don’t need another sword-wielding schmuck giving me a lecture.”
“Woah there! Cool your jets biker dude,” the man waved off the anger. “I’m just asking you to dial down the fireworks a little. The peeps in the city don’t take it too kindly when shit hits the fan around here. Last time it did the whole city went on the offensive, literally,” He said. “I’m not here to give a lecture just doing my job as one of the city’s appointed protectors as given to me by my bro Asta. Name’s Ichigo Kurosaki, head-captain of the Black Clover Shiningami of this kingdom and a fellow displaced.”
“So you’re his brother, he’s told me about you,” Marcus said as he lowered his canon to his side and rested his hand on his shoulder. “Honestly never been a big fan of Bleach, but if you're not here to talk down to me then you are fine in my books. The name is Marcus, Marcus the Beelzemon,” He said as he extended his normal hand at the end.
“Good to finally meet ya,” Ichigo shook Marcus’s hand. “Just a heads up, I’m pretty much a jackass to everyone so don’t take any insults personally,” he pointed off in the distance, “If ya want to vent a little we’ve got the training hall for those who wish to learn defense. Nearly the whole city’s populace are former slaves so we taught’um how to fight back and many went on to form the knights and shinigami later but at some point Asat even formed the Demon Slayer Corps. You game for game target practice there?”
Marcus thought for a moment and said, “As long as I am done in an hour so I could make it to the arena.” Clenching his fist tight, it popping as doing so, and saying, “I am going to knock that brother of yours on his smug ass.”
“Fair warning,” Ichigo said as they arrived at the training grounds, “Asta is a hella lot strong than the last time you saw him, dude. The dude fought a goddess of balance when the city was founded and nearly won, she only did cause she had just a bit more magic,” he turned around to face Marcus. “I’m not trying to get ya to back down cause even I can tell a really need this but fair warning when fighting Asta, he treats every fight as a death match, even if it’s not.” He held up a hand and a glowing katana materialized in it, “I can give ya a bit of a boost but I can still tell ya won’t win. Still, be a helluva a fight to watch though. Kind of had my fill of fighting since fighting Akainu in the last Displaced Tourney. Don’t ever accept an invite from an alchemist without details first!” he roared, “That fucking jackass… Oh let me clear things up for ya, I have no idea what this sword will do to ya, I just know it’ll unlock a spiritual variant of some sort of or powers, seeing as you’re ya know a Digimon… Your choice.”
Marcus thought for a moment as he turned back to his normal Beelzemon form and said, “You know what, sure why not.” Stretching his arms out wide to fully expose his chest he said, “I would love to lay the smack down on him with the power his brother gave me.” As he said that bit a truly demonic smile spread across his face.
Ichigo shrug slightly and held up his other hand and a bow formed in it, “This won’t hurt at all,” he smiled as he shot the sword Dead center into Marcus’s chest, “Oh, and just so you know Asta can materialize his zanpakuto in the living world without a catalyst, that goes for his Bankai and hollowfication to.”
As the glowing sword hit him in the chest a white light overtook him. After a few seconds the blade of a Katana slashed through the light to make it dissipate. Standing there was a more less regular-looking Marcus, just with a katana in hand that had the hazard symbol as the guard. With a smirk, he said, “Got to say that is no digivolving, but not a bad feeling.” Looking at his new sword he suddenly said, “Marchosias huh, ever hear of a zanpakuto with that name Ichigo?”
“Nope,” Ichigo said immediately, “Zanpakuto are as unique as people and no two of them are alike and no two can have the same name at any given time, no matter what the films say. In canon, there have been swords in the past that have the same names as ones in the present but they’re still totally different from each other. It looks like yours is an Arranca’s too, so at the moment you'll only have one release. Wanna learn how to sword fight?”
Ichigo drew his sword from his back and it glowed with a rainbow aura then he returned the sword to its sheath on his back, “I won’t be releasing him just yet,” he smirked as he started to walk and placed a hand on Marcus’s shoulder, “Teach skills Swordsmanship, Marksman,” he listed off before removing his hand.
Suddenly a status window appeared in front of Marcus’s eyes, listing the sills he just require from Ichigo with the Lvl 1 status following them.
“They’re gamer skills that’ll level up the more ya use them,” Ichigo explained. “Highly compatible with your Digimon nature. As I said the more ya use them the more the skill will increase, by the status will stay the same even if ya change modes or forms. There’s no limit to how high they can go… That being said I won't be able to get you up to mine and Asta’s level with any amount of training I give. That would take any number of years to be on par with the little dude but I can at least give you a better handle on a sword and your new powers.”
Marcus just tapped his new sword on his shoulder and said, “Sure might as well learn the basics of how to wield this thing.” Pointing the Katana at Ichigo he said, “Just don’t expect me to call you sensei or anything.”
“Hell no dude,” Ichigo laughed. “The only ones who do that are the learners here, and still that only cause they see it fit. You should know,” he walked across the way and turned to face Marcus, “Asta and I aren’t really related by blood. We’ve just known each other since we were in pre-k and have a lot of the same stuff in common, so we get along as if we were,” Marcus could now feel a steady pressure building around, emanating from Ichigo. “Another thing you should have realized is that, unlike another Ichigo we both know, my sword is in its sealed state and not Shikai. Also,” Marcus soon found it harder to breathe and move steadily, “is that I have several forms of Bankai instead of just a stupid long sword. You’re a demon, so how about we train in hell?!”
Suddenly massive gate-baring skeletons sprang up behind Ichigo and sucked both of them inside for the rest of the next hour. Upon the allotted time passing the two exited the gates Marcus looked worse for wear out first, tapping his sword on his shoulder the whole time but having reverted back to his Impmon form from having spent all his energy in his training sessions with Ichigo.
With a slight growl, he said, “You do know just because I am a demon doesn’t mean I have ever been to hell, so thanks for that.”
“Well the reason I brought you to hell is because of the much harsher environments,” Ichigo said as he walked out, dispelling his hell guard armor. “That and it drastically boosts hollow powers and the abilities of malevolent spirits, thus making it harder for you as a demonic Digimon to control your power and causing you to have to focus on it more.”
Marcus rolled his eyes as he said, “So basically it is just a hotter version of the hyperbolic time chamber from Dragon Ball.” With a stretch, he said,” Anyways that place has screwed with my sense of time, how long until me and Asta duke it out?”
“Sort of like a mini time chamber but only cause of my ID skill,” Ichigo corrected, “My skull is nowhere near the level of the ones that Asta uses for his own training. One day in there is like nearly a month but at least we were able to level your sword skill up enough to where you can use it. I’m more of a weapons fighter. Really the only hand-to-hand fighting skill I know is judo and that’s not even close to the level Asta has mastered. And I’d say a few minutes to spare. Just enough time to get you over to the arena. Ten bits says our boy is already there waiting on us.”
He started to walk to the entrance, “I’ll show ya the way, and whatever ya don’t piss him off in the fight. He’s not a berserker but someone whose focus sharpens on his goal the madder he gets.”
“Hold up boys,” came a new voice.
Ichigo let out a harsh sigh, “I know that voice…”
Marcus looked around to try and find the voice and asked, “Um care to inform the Digimon who is talking?”
“No one you need to know at the moment young one,” the voice chuckled. “In the box at your feet is a sensoo bean that I prepped especially for you,” Marcus looked down and there was indeed a small box at his feet. “It will not only fully heal your wounds from your training with Ichigo, but also fully restore your energy levels back to max, allowing you to digivolve back to Beelzemon. Though I recommend you eat it just before you enter the arena in order to make the effects last longer. Asta is a master fighter both with and without weapons. I look forward to an entertaining fight. So long for now….”
Marcus picked up the box and as he looked at it he said, “I know that after everything I have gone through I shouldn’t be surprised at the disembodied voice, but I just have to ask. What or who the hell was that?”
“I honestly want to tell you but I literally can’t,” Ichigo stated. “Every time I think about I get this blaring horn in my head so… I’m just gonna say it's someone Asta…. OW, MOTHER FUCKER!” He cried out as he fell backward and held his head, “Fuck this… Let's get to the arena…” Ichigo grumbled, “Fucking op bullshit…”
Marcus smirked as he said, “You do know that the term op could apply to both you and Asta also fits that criteria.” He then started walking while saying, “Now come on I am ready to hit stupid Asta in his stupid in his face.”
“In terms of overall power yeah we're pretty out there in terms of combat power but not much else,” Ichigo rubbed the inside of his ear. “This guy is just… bull shit crazy out there and let’s leave it at that. And to top it off he’s not even technically a void dweller but has power on par with those top-tier bastards.” He leads Marcus into a massive stadium and through its corridors.
“Let’s just say he’s someone you’d rather have backing you in just about any situation rather than even trying to go against him.”
They both stood in front of a massive archway that led into the floor of the arena. “Alright dude this is your stop, and go nuts with those Digimon powers as there’s a void barrier around the seats so nothing can go through and hurt the audience.”
Marcus turned and looked at Ichigo with a scowl, “Hey, don’t blame me. Blame the guy that runs shit in this place. Fights are actually a normal spectacle we have daily here. The crowd loves it and it brings in money but also no one dies. We heal them and give them a cut of the profits then send them on the way. Everyone in the city is here because the last time Asta fought in this place was with that goddess chick so they came out to not only watch but also to support their king. Good luck dude,” he waved as he walked back down the hallway.
Marcus gave a nod and said, “Thanks, for both your advice but also the new power and training.” Turning to face the tunnel's exit he pulled out the bean and ate half of, a bit hesitantly, and felt himself get fully healed, making sure to pocket the other half. With a smirk he started to walk out of the tunnel, digivolving back to Beelzemon as he entered the battlefield eyeing his opponent.
“I see you had a bit of fun in hell,” Asta said from across the field, his eyes showing an extremely sharp gaze. Marcus could even feel the aura around the man in front of him was not even the slightest bit friendly, but a the same time there was no malevolence in the air surrounding Asta either. Asta stood up from the stone black where he’d been sitting, “Honestly, since I took that fight with Barbamon as nothing more than a joke. I had to do some serious rethinking after that. You’ll only be the fourth real demon lord I’ve faced. This’ll be entertaining for us both,” he smiled evilly as he took a fighting stance without his swords.
Marcus held his new sword tight and started to grind his teeth together. He could feel the sheer power difference between the two, truly seeing how outmatched he was. For a brief moment, his eyes once again had the hazard symbol in them. With a growl, he said, “Just shut up and come at me already.” He then got in a kendo stance and readied for the fight.
Asta smirked and then swiftly moved his palm barely forward. Marcus flinched slightly by tightening his grip on his sword. He didn’t like being teased at all but this wasn’t mere teasing. Asta had done something, something that Marcus knew was something he wasn’t able to do the last time they fought with Barbamon.
Suddenly stone spikes erupted from the right in front of Asta making be line for Marcus. Relying on instinct Marcus back-flipped onto the wall and then using the momentum, launched himself straight at Asta.
“Nice trying,” Asta smirked, “Light magic, Particle Transfer!” he said as he teleported away.
Marcus used his katana as a break, digging the sword into the ground. Stooping, he glared at Asta who had not one but two books floating on either side of him.
“That really was a nice comeback,” Asta glared, “But not good enough to catch me off guard.”
Marcus pulled his sword out of the ground, swinging it to the side to get the remaining remnants of earth off it. With a growl, he said, “Then how about this.” He then pointed the tip of his blade at Asta as a red ball of energy appeared at the tip. “Cero,” he said as the ball turned into a beam attack aimed at Asta.
“Ah a cero,” Asta pointed a finger and gathered spirit energy into a cero himself before firing it right at Marcus's own causing the two attacks to cancel each other out. Marcus just stared in shock, “You didn’t think Ichigo well tell you everything I can do would he?” Asta snickered as he pulled back his fist, “Here's a simple trick using your spiritual pressure!” He said as he let a flurry of punches of concentrated spirit energy at Marcus.
The Digimon couldn’t react to all of them as they were much faster than a cero.
“It's called a Bala,” Asta held up a fist as it crackled lightly with his power, “Not as destructive as a cero but as you can tell,” he launched the attack Marcus narrowly avoided it, “Much faster and easier to control. I must say I’m a bit disappointed though. All that training and all you were able to do is fire off one cero. If you keep up this mindset, those megas in your world will kill you in less than five…. No three minutes.”
Marcus knew that wasn’t an insult either but it still pissed him off more. His body pulsated with energy as he said, “Maybe your right, but I still have one more trick up my sleeve.” He raised his zanpakuto to the sky, it starting to glow blue, and called out, “Mutilate Marchosias!” As those words escaped his lips his whole body was consumed white the same blue glow until it took on the shape of an egg. Suddenly the egg started to grow until it was five times its prior size, the hazard symbol appearing on its face.
After a moment the egg started to crack as a demonic voice could be heard calling, “Beelzemon digivolve to..” The egg finally split open to reveal a massive white armored wolf-like creature, adorned with the wings of Gryphonmon and the tail of Sandirmon. The beast unfiltered its wings and let out a vial howl of “Marchosiasmon!”
The newly born Ultra Level digimon looked up at Asta and roared as it used its wings to rocket into the air, reaching his level at lightning speeds. Marchosiasmon growled as he stared at the king of this land. It was clear that in this form Marcus had little control and was just running off the anger he had towards the swordsman. Opening his mouth an orb of blue fire started to form, biting down on it once fully formed. He reeled back his head before throwing it forward while opening his maw, sending out a beam of blue hell hire, while the demonic voice bellowed, “Hellish Nova!!”
Asta’s eyes glowed bright white, “You little brat!” he roared in a multi-toned voice as he moved his arms about quickly and water gathered around the attack, quickly drowning it. “You dare unleash a power you can’t even control in my kingdom!” He roared as black anti-magic flowed forth and covered Asta’s body, turning him into Black Asta. “I will not allow you to run rampant in this state!”
Asta vanished and appeared right underneath Marcus’s jaw before delivering a hard uppercut sending the newborn ultra cartwheeling through the air. Asta motioned his arms again and the water that had turned to steam consolidated into tentacles that restrained Marcus as Asta rocketed up into Marcus’s gut this time. The Digimon plummeted to the ground half dead at this point.
“Get up,” Asta ordered as his demon destroyer sword flew to his hand from his black grimoire, “We’re far from done…”
Marchosiasmon Marcus let out a low groan from being slammed into the ground but it slowly turned into a growl. Slowly he made his way back to his feet he had his wings span out before flapping them hard to send him back into the air and breaking his bonds. Once there,, he started to spin rapidly in the air, making a vortex of black winds. The wind started to grow larger and fast as the voice again called out “Hellish Mailstrum!!” At this point, the winds were going so fast that any normal item or being would be shredded into nothingness.
Asta’s eyes glowed white again but this time intricate blue tattoos cover his entire body, “Moon Breathing,” he whispered as veins bulged over his body, “Moon Dragon Ringtail,” he roared and with a single slash sent hundreds of black crescent moon through the air tearing a hole in Marcus’s wind.
Asta held up a hand and fire came forth above then it was surrounded by a ball of wind, “Desolation sphere!” He shouted as he launched the ball right through the hole and as send as the ball made contact with Marcus it erupted in a flames burning the Digimon all over as his own attack caught fire as well.
The storm had evolved into a burning hurricane and was hurting the berserk Ultra as he acted as its core. Marchosiasmon stopped the spinning and spread its wings out far to the inferno out across the battlefield. At the same time, the flames that covered him were dissipated, but there were clear burn marks on him.
It was clear that Marcus was running on steam fast but something in him wouldn’t let him stop. As a last-ditch effort he raised his mouth to the sky, a giant ethereal version of the hazard symbol appeared. In the middle of the symbol, energy started to gather, until with a howl the energy shot outwards as a continuous volley of energy balls rained down on the arena. Once again a voice could be heard calling, “Hazard Volley!” The blasts were going far and high enough to hit the barrier.
“ENOUGH!” Asta hollowed as he raised his hand. That’s when everyone in the crowd saw the sword was no longer in Asta’s hand, “Black Death!” Asta swiped his hand and out of the corner of the stadium shot four black streaks that shredded not only Marcus’s Hazard symbol but the ultra as well.
Marcus slumped over as he reverted back to his Impmon form and the black streaks shot behind Asta. They floated there in mid-air revealing themselves to be his demon swords.
“How, just how can you be so freaking strong?” he asked while trying to catch his breath.
“I spent nearly ten years traveling across countries training under many masters in order to gain the strength I need to do what I want to,” Asta glared at Marus, thoroughly pissed. “I continued to train so I may get the chance to see my older brother again who disappeared without a reason. The brother my parents cast off as nothing but a nuisance but who loved me and looked out for me even after he was disowned by my family. Alone was his name,” He sighed, “You asked me if time goes on while we’re displaced here, well I can tell you it does. Because ten years for me was over fifteen thousand for him. So much time had passed for him that he’d come to terms with the people he’d cared for deaths. And that’s not very many, probably a total could be counted on both hands. He had the chance to go back once but he gave up that chance to live the life he wanted with the creatures that he loved and loved him for who he was.”
“I’m strong because I lived my life the way I wanted to like my older brother does, “Asta walked away, “Tell me, Marcus, do you truly wish to go back home or is it what you think you should do?” He looked at the Impmon, “Like when you decided to unleash that beast of a form in my city that you could barely manage to keep under control? My strength comes from training my powers, not recklessly unleashing them so that may end up causing greater harm.”
Marcus groaned as he moved to stand up, and with ragged breath said, “You wanna know if I just wanna go home because I think it is what I should do?” A small chuckle left his throat before glaring back at him and saying, “Hell no, I could care less about going back there. What has pissed me off is that yet again the universe has thrown me to from one crap storm to another, none of which I got a single say in.”
Standing tall now the Impmon said, “Since you got to tell your story it is time for me. My folks left me and my elder sister alone with nothing but our names and a rundown shack to our names. She tried her best to raise me and keeps us from ending up on the streets, but I could see how hard it was on her despite how much she didn’t want me to. She was the only good thing in my life, the one good thing and I didn’t even get to say goodbye. So I am done letting others control my life, and will do anything to keep it from happening again.” Spitting to the side he asked, “Does that answer your question mister high and mighty?
“When we first met I was still against becoming the ruler of these people,” Asta looked at him, “I just wanted to live a quiet peaceful life in Ponyville with Shy but then I heard of what the original Caribou kingdom did to the ponies and other slaves, treating them less than dirt. I figured hey I have money I can help, so I tried and during that, I lost my girls during one of my summonings. I came back and showed no mercy and became the leader here by my hand and not my choice. It wasn’t until I fought alongside you against Barbamon that it finally sunk into my skull, Hey I have a lot of people looking to me to lead them. I still don’t think it should be me on this throne but I stay because it's what I choose todo,” he pointed at himself. “My older brother didn’t get a choice to leave at first but he embraced his path and I didn’t get to say goodbye either and my fold just accepted, he’s gone so he’s dead. It hurt a lot but I kept on moving and never gave up that I could find him, and eventually, I did, though a lot older and a hella a lot more powerful but he was happy so I was happy.”
“We don’t always get to choose the paths we are put on Marcus, especially as displaced but we can sure as hell embrace them and make them our own,” he pointed at Marcus. “So tell me, well you continue to sulk and throw a temper tantrum like a kid, or will you be the you, you want to be?”
“The me I wanna be” Marcus mused aloud. Pulling out the second half of the senzu bean he quickly ate it, fully healing himself. Now with renewed vigor he said, “I just want to show the world that I won't be pushed around anymore, that is the version of me I want to be.”
“Then instead of going at it alone try to stand alongside those who support you,” Asta motioned to the madrid of creatures around them watching. “You can’t just rush in and expect everything or everyone to listen even without force or with. Stop and think about how your actions will affect those around you. You currently live with the Fluttershy of your universe. Think of how worried she is right now when you stormed off, and now that you’re just gone. You didn’t get to say goodbye to your sister, and now Shy. You could very well be stuck in this world for the rest of your life with no small part on my end!”
Marucs’s eyes went wide as he asked, “What are you talking about Asta, what did you do?”
“My daughter is the one who summoned you Marcus, not me,” Asta explained, “I have no say in sending you back nor do I even have the power to cross the void! My daughter isn’t even a year old. You could wait till she could speak but that would still take another three years at the least! There’s only one being I know that has the power to send you back and he very well may not even bother to pick up the damn phone! So you tell me, Marcus, what did I DO?”
Marcus could not believe what he was hearing, so once again life has found a way to screw him again. He grits his teeth while balling his fists tightly as he thought of how it could be Asta’s fault before finally saying, “You taught me how to send those stupid items out into the multiverse, and now look at what it has done.” Feeling energy rise in him he screamed, “This is all your fault, Impmon warp Digivolve!” Once again he was enraptured by an egg of energy until it finally shattered to show Murmukusmon.
“I’m not going to deny some of the blame can be on me but at the same time,” Asta’s gaze narrowed as his right arm start to take on a crystalline look, “I told you what it is we are and what is to be expected when sending out the tokens,” the black dragon scar on his left arm started to expand and wraith with black flames. “So no, you can’t solely put this on me!” he roared as his hair took on a mist-like appearance and four black and red tipped horns sprang from the front of his hairline while his eye became black with his green sclera glowed while his pupils became slits. “So tell me Marcus, when all is said and done and if you’ve beaten me, what then? Will you go after my daughter next as she is the one who summoned you?”
Marcus clenched his fist fists as he spread out his crimson wings and took to the sky. Growling he pointed at Asta and said, “Of course not, that kid did not mean to bring me here. Now stop all of your prattling and fight!” He then charged forward and summoned two purple flames in his hands. Once close enough he put both of his hands in front of him and yelled, “Gehenna Flame!” This launched a massive flamethrower of purple flame right in the king's face.
Asta raised his left hand, “Black Flame Dragon Claw!!!” The flames of the dragon erupted from the mage king’s arm and coalesced in a massive black flame claw that caught the purple flame and smothered them in black fire.
Asta retracted his left arm and reached behind him with his right arm to grab onto the Demon Destroyer Sword. As soon as he touched the blade it shift from its dirty and grimy look to a shining silver blade.
Asta brought the sword up in front of his face with his right arm glowing slightly, “Magic Swordsmanship,” he said as his gaze narrowed, “Demon Sword, Crescent Moon!” he said as the sword pulsed once and stook on an interstellar look before Asta launched the magic at Marcus in a single crescent slash.
Asta quickly pulled the Demon Decapitator Katana out with his left hand, “Dark Magic, Jet Black Blade,” he said as the blade of this sword turned into a lightless pitch black hue, “Light Lighless Flurry!” He said as he slashed and sent dozens of smaller slashes ahead of the Crescent Slash.
As the slashes came close to Marcus he was unable to dodge the smaller slashes, covering him in cuts. However, he managed to avoid the larger attack. Groaning he said, “You seem so interested in asking me all these questions, then let me ask you one. Why do you care what I do, for what purpose do you care the road I chose to follow? You act like you are my better, or any annoying older brother, why?” Unbeknownst to Asta, the only reason he was talking was to keep his attention occupied while he prepared his next attack, which would need him to get face-to-face with the swordsman if it was to do what he wanted it to.
“Your little sneak attack won’t work kid,” Asta said as he blurred out of sight and as soon as Marcus got a lock on his opponent's energy it was too late as he was launched into the sky by a pillar of stone. He came face to face with Asta in the air who was pointing two jet black cero at his face, before firing them both point blank right into Marcus’s eyes.
The mega hit the ground hard, clutching his head as he cried out in pain.
“To answer your question, I don’t want to see you make a choice that you can’t take back and regret it,” Asta said Marcus shakily got to his feet while Asta pulled out the Demon Slayer sword. “Because at the end of the day kid, you have a good heart and a kind soul,” he said as he raise the sword over his head and it grew to a massive size with magma field veins bulging out over the blackened blade, “Continental Divider!”
Asta slashed down and with the sheer size of the weapon Marcus had nowhere to go as he was hit with the superheated sword’s flat. After a moment Asta retracts the sword to reveal Marcus barely alive, still in his mega form.
“This fight is over,” Asta said as his other three swords flew from behind him and crossed blades over Marcus’s Neck. “Or do you wish to keep on going?”
Marcus could hardly move due to the sheer amount of pain but he managed let out a small growl as tears started to fall from his eyes. With a broken voice he angrily asked, “Why do you care so much what I do with my life, why try so hard to reach me? You say I have a kind heart and soul but what do you know! We are little more then acquaintances! So who am I to you to make you care so much, my mistakes would have no effect on you!!” Choking on a sob he then asked in a low tone, “What am I supposed to do with all this anger?”
Asta looked at the younger displaced, “It's alright to be angry, and especially for the right reasons but that doesn’t give you the excuse to go off on those around you who are only trying to help you understand the reasons for your fury,” he said, “You have to talk about it and let those who are there for you know how you’re feeling, lest you drown in you own negativity and become a beast of darkness that will no sooner cut down his closest friends and loved ones.”
“I care because it happened to me very recently. I lost myself to all that hate and anger to the point ai saw everything as the thing I wanted to kill,” Asta said. “I… don’t want to see you go that route Marcus because the only thing you find there is more anger and heartache. And we are friends. I fought alongside you against Barbamon remember? I wouldn’t try this hard and try and be here for a mere acquaintance.”
Marcus didn’t know what to say at this point, he was beaten in every way possible. With a small flash of light he de-digivolved back into Impmon. “You win, I can’t fight anymore,” he said with sheer defeat present in his voice.
Asta smiled and displed his equipment. He made a motion and several Shinigami and magic knights rushed out from the nearest entrance.
“Very carefully take him to the treatment room and place him in one of the tanks,” Asta ordered, “use the best medicinal mixture we have on hand. Contact Fluttershy and have her come and treat his more serious injuries with her magic.”
They all performed the Clover Kingdom salute before performing their assigned tasks.
“Your Majesty,” the big pegasus from earlier appeared with a small silver sugar bowl looking thin in his hand, “It’s lady Shinobu,” he said as the thing activated to show the hologram of a lavender-colored butterfly theme demon slayer.
“What's wrong?” Asta asked.
“Master,” Shinobu bowed, “We’ve encountered an incredibly larger number of high-level demons in the mountains outside Wilder. With the skill and powers they possess, I'm afraid our current level of Slayers won’t be enough to handle the task of wiping them out.”
“Hmmm….” Asta thought, “Alright then. Send word to the Hashira nearest you and I’ll bring Rengoku. I’ll be there before sundown.”
“Thank you, master,” Shinobu bowed again and the feed cut off.
“I hate to leave you like this Marcus but my people need me,” Asta looked back to his guest. “Given the state, you’re in how about you stay in this world and recover and learn hand-to-hand combat and swordsmanship? I can also give you bending training in my spare time. It's up to you though.”
Marcus groaned as he said, ”You told me it might be impossible for me to go back to my Equestria, so sure why not. Now go do what you need to do, I am going to slip into unconsciousness.” With that, he closed his eyes and passed out due to exhaustion and pain.
It would take a couple of hours for him to wake up, now finding himself in what he could tell to be a medical center of some kind. With a grumble, he looked around trying to find someone. “Hello, anyone there,” he asked aloud.
“Welcome back to the waking world,” he heard. Looking over he saw none other than this world’s version of Twilight Sparkle, but she was a tad different as the one did have wings but the aura about her was much more than that of an alicorn.
“Fluttershy treated you more serious injuries,” She explained. “Shall I drain the medical fluid and get you out and something to eat? Or do you want a bath before that?”
Marcus looked at this Twilight as he nervously said, “I would like the first option, not really the bath kind of guy. I much prefer a shower than to stew in my own filth.” He then looked at this Twilight and asked, “So question, why is your aura so different from my psycho nerd?”
“I’ll pretend I didn’t hear that last part,” Twilight smiled grimly as she hit a switch and the green fluid Marcus had been floating in drained, allowing him to walk. He immediately pulled off the oxygen mask on his face. “As for why, that's because I’m not a normal alicorn per se. I’m also the Goddess of Balance and Magic for this world. Towel,” she tossed Marcus a towel and he start to rub off the rest of the greenish-colored liquid on his body. “And sorry about the shower but the only place we have those are the barracks. Well, we do have the rinser in the bathroom in the palace if you’d prefer more privacy?”
Draping the towel over his shoulders Marcus said, “I think I am good. Anyways, a god huh, do I have to worry about you trying to strike me down for being of the demonic persuasion.”
Throwing the towel away he said, “Cause if that is the case then just get it over with, after the day that I have had I don’t think that I would be quit as against it.” He spun his heels to face away from the goddess and started to walk away while saying, “If that is not the case then I am going to go grab some grub, I want to get out of this Impmon form.”
“You’re our husband’s guest Marcus,” Twilight smiled as the sound of broken glass was heard in Marcus’s head. “And besides,” she said as her aura turned more malevolent and her skin and over-color scheme darkened. “We’re part demon too. My name is Midnight, I’m Twi's darker side. We’re the Goddess of Balance after all, so naturally, we'd have a darker side as well. You should know that the Spike of this world and Luna are both demon users to. They both have five-leaf grimoires. Just because you’re a demon doesn’t mean your evil per se. The demons Shinobu was talking about are a different type. They’re more of a plague but we do have some of them that are actually good too. Let’s go get you some food,” she motioned as she shifted back to Twilight.
Marcus turned back to look at Twilight as she shifted into Midnight and back. With a sigh he said, “Who in this universe isn’t have absurd power.” He then followed her as they went to get some food. As he walked the little Imp asked, “So, you are another one of Asta’s wives huh, how many of you are there?”
“About six in total,” Twilight answered nonchalantly, “Four are officially married while two others are still on the other side of the Crystal Mirror, doing what they feel is right. They’re more or less just engaged though. I heard you live with your Fluttershy in your world, what variant of pony is she?”
Marcus rested his hands behind his head as he said, “Well she is a Pegasus.” A frown spread across his face as he thought of his Fluttershy and how he might not see her again if Asta’s words were true. While deep in thought he ignited a flame on his finger and just looked at it.
“We’ll get you home,” Twilight said. “We have a… well a long way around if the first doesn’t want to cooperate.”
“Um, you sound like this option is something that you guys would rather not do,” he asked while moving the flame across his gloved hand.
“Not that we don’t want to its just…” Twilight said hesitantly.
“They’d don’t like asking having to rely on it all the time,” came the disembodied voice again.
“Yea…” Twilight relented.
“That was a marvelous show by the way,” the voice chuckled. “And to see you use the bean like that. I was hoping you would!”
Marcus looked around before looking at Twilight and asking, “Okay this is the second time this voice has popped up from the aether, can someone please tell me who this is?”
“That would be the voice of my older brother-in-law,” Twilight head her head.
“Wait I thought that was Ichigo,” he said in surprise. Looking at the sky he then asked aloud, “So if your his bro, then why don’t you come out and introduce yourself?”
“Remember what Ichigo said before your departure into hell?” the voice asked. Marcus then recalled, “Right, Ichigo isn’t actually related to Asta by blood, they’ve just known each other since grade school and are so close that they consider each other brothers, which I do as well but not the point. I am the really older brother by blood and I didn’t introduce myself because it wasn’t necessary. All of these timelines pretty much ended up this way so I didn't need to show my face, and still don’t currently as you need to rest and train.”
“Twilight,” he called out, “Rest assured you can count on me to get him home when the time is right. Until then I look forward to watching you grow stronger Marcus, at least when I can dedicate the time. I’m a very busy Void Walker after all.”
“I’ll be sure and let Asta know then,” Twilight sighed.
“Goodbye for now young ones!” the voice laughed as it faded.
Marcus’s eye twitch as the flame in his hand grew larger from his anger. With a growl he called out, “I am not a kid, so you and your brother need to stop calling me that!’ Unbeknownst to him he could not see how much of a child he was acting in throwing a tantrum about being called a child.
“Marcus, calm down,” Twilight scolded the digimon. “He was referring to us both. Ed is well into her thousands and Asta is over a hundred, so to them… YOU ARE A KID STILL!” She yelled as he color pallet shift before quickly reverting, “Sorry,” she threw up her hands, “And no offense, but they way you’re acting right now says otherwise…”
The Impmon stared at her angrily and stomped his foot while yelling, “Oh don’t you start on with that crap to!” With a growl he started to stomp away while saying, “Let’s just go get food already.”

“Manners,” Twilight squinted, causing Marcus to think a bit more before he spoke again. “Besides, we have to head back to the palace for the food. Asta was very specific about an all-you-can-eat buffet being set up for you.”
As soon as Twilight mentioned an all-you-can-eat buffet a wide smile plastered itself on Marcus’s face. Without skipping a beat the little Imp started to jump forward at great speeds. All the while he yelled, “Then what are ya waiting for, let’s go already.”
Images of a hoard of different culinary delights sprang forth into his mind, from a simple cheeseburger to a ten-laired cake with buttermilk frosting. Suffice to say he wanted all this and more as fast as possible.
“If you stop jumping around like Pinkie at a party we could go,” Twilight stated, “special magic dark door,” she said and a swirling black and blue portal opens up.
“I don’t know about you but I don’t feel like walking through the streets,” she motioned to the portal, “so either go through or starve.”
Marcus looked at the portal and thought for a moment. Thus far every other portal he had gone through had led him to another dimension, so did he really want to tempt it. However, his thinking was cut short as his stomach let out a growl. With a shrug he jumped through the portal like he was told, hoping that it truly led to food.
As soon as Marcus went in he came out to a massive room with a very long stable laid out with a spread that would’ve even made Celestia’s jaw drop.
Twilight walked through after and looked at the drooling imp, “Just so you know I don’t have the power to open portals across the Omniverse, just across this world to places I’ve been,” she said as she picked him up by the top of his head and sat him in a seat. “And no need to hold back, whatever mess you make will be taken care of by the castle staff. Just try not to get anything on the upper walls and ceiling. After you are done eating then we’ll hit the training hall to introduce you to your instructors for the sword and martial arts. After that, you can relax as long as you don’t cause problems. Your training will start tomorrow. Questions,” Twi looked at him. Marcus smirked and raised a finger, “If you ask me to pass the butter it’ll be in your face.”
Marcus lowered his finger, no longer finding the joke funny, and quickly clapped his hands together to show his thanks for the meal. Quickly he started to grab mounds of food and stuff them down his throat. Digivolving into both an Ultra and Mega level back to back with no food break in between to restore energy made filled him with a ravenous hunger. Plate after plate he ate until there was a literal stack of plates that was double his current height.
Leaning back in his chair he chewed on the bone of what was a leg of lamb and let out a loud belch. With a smile, he said, “That was amazing, almost worth getting beat by Asta.”
“Almost?” Twilight points out curiously as Marcus looks over to see bits of food and bones on the floor and behind the goddess but not a spec on her. “Why almost?”
“Let’s see, I was really wanting to put his “I know better than you in all things” face into the ground. He was treating me like some dumb kid so yeah this was almost worth doing so, “He said this as he took the bone out of his mouth and started to balance it on his finger.
“I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Asta only used about twenty percent of his power when he fought your ultra form and about thirty five to fight your mega,” Twilight explained. “That’s without using his sacred treasure too. You kind of missed the point of the fight for the most part. At least you’re willing to accept people a little bit more now.”
Tossing the bone over his shoulder Marcus said, “I know his point, he wanted me to think before doing anything so I don’t do something I might regret.” With a sigh, he stood in his chair and continued, “Look I get it, I was acting like a hot-headed idiot about, well everything, and didn’t want to listen to others. We Impmon/Beelzemon tend to be like that by nature, I assume.” With a sad chuckle, he said, “You know it’s funny, both myself and the only other Beelzemon that I know of both were taught a lesson about not being too thick-headed by a Knight.”
“I’ve heard the stories Marcus,” Twilight reminded the digimon, “don’t forget my husband is a displaced. Now shall we go, or would you like to change form first?”
Marcus gave a quick nod before jumping off his chair, digivolving into Beelzemon mid air, and landing perfectly. With a smirk he said, “I am ready to go when you are toots.”
“I’m going to warn you once, drop the nicknames before someone decides to use a weapon to make sweet love to your face or groin,” Twilight warned him opened another portal. “You’re instructors won’t be Asta or Ichigo either. Asta has his state of affairs to deal with and Ichigo has his own duties as head captain of our Shinigami division and the Gotei thirteen’s overseer.”
Marcus turned his head to the side and asked, “If it isn’t either of them then who is it, another one of his wives or something?” As he said this he walked through the portal, wondering who it could be.
“I mean Aj could be your martial arts instructor from time to time if you want broken bones on your best days? But Shy is busy with Aurora and Rebecca isn’t a fighter in any sense of the word,” Twi shrugged. “I’m only here for you until I get you back to the palace after this intro is done then I have to get back to Canterlot for my lessons with Luna and Celestia. Still having issues with these,” she twitched her wings a little. “And etiquette too. I’m not a princess of Equestria actually, just a knight but they’re alicorns, and my sister-in-law to far north for lessons for my taste. Anyways, your instructors are the power couple of Spike and Rainbow Dash.”
Marcus was wide-eyed as he came up to the portal and asked, “Are you serious, skittles and the little dragon are a thing here.” He then started to laugh historically at the mental image of his Rainbow and Spike together.
“Yes and they’re quite powerful,” Twilight nodded, “Though you’re wrong about being a little dragon. They both fought alongside Ichigo in the recent Displaced Tournament and Spike is a demon user like Asta, Luna, and myself,” she explained as she opened a portal. “Spike is not the little kid you think. I seriously recommend watching yourself around him, cause he’s not afraid to break the bones of his friends in a match or kill enemies that cross him. Let’s go,” she motioned to the portal.
Marcus shrugged as he said, “Well I will try not to but that is not fully up to me. If he annoys me then I will do the same in return.” Looking at the goddess’s motion and then went through the portal to the set destination. Once through he could see a training ground for the Shinigami and Demon Slayers, riddled with wooden training dummies and other equipment.
Turning to look back at the portal as Twilight came through Marcus asked, “Alright so we are here, where are the trainers that you are hyping up so much?” With a devilish smirk he asked, “You think that Skittles is not doing her job and taking a nap instead?”
“Rainbow is in the main hall,” Twilight pointed to the dojo where Rainbow was teaching her students. “She’s not big into swords though she does have one tailored to her magic type and physical strength. You might actually like it,” She smirked, “Project magic,” she said and produced an image of the weapon.

That’s when Marcus thought about something weird with Twilight’s powers, portal magic, and projection magic. From what he recalled from Asta’s explanation of grimoires it was normally impossible for someone to have two types of magic, especially unrelated types like this.
Marcus pointed at the image and asked, “Hey not to derail your explanation but I got to know, why do you have multiple types of different magic?”
“That’s the special magic that my grimoire grants me,” Twilight explained. “Copy magic. It allows me to see a spell and immediately copy it and make it my own, even if I don’t have an affinity for it. There’s only one other mage with this magic and he isn’t in this world, but at the same time, I can also combine my spells to make new ones while he can’t. Think of it as a copy machine, though mine aren’t as strong as the original spells, though with the combination I can make them stronger, and paired with my demonic mana I can ramp it up to twelve.”
Crossing his arms across his chest Marcus said, “So your just another op person from this dimension, got it.” With a sigh, he started walking to the dojo but stopped when he got to the door. With a smirk, he asked, “What do you think would happen if I kick the door down?” The only reason he wanted to do this is because of his punk/gangster vibe, well that and he always wanted to do it after seeing it in different anime.
“Asta would make you pay for it, literally and physically,” Twilight sighed, “Don’t tear up our stuff just cause you to want to look cool, and do keep in mind that this is a martial arts dojo and sword training hall, many of the students here aren’t nearly on the level as the Black Nights or Shinigami but if they’re here that means they can hold their own in a fight with a high level hollow or demon. They might not be able to stop you individually but one would be more than enough to go toe to toe with you in a fight, now multiply that number by say two or three hundred.”
Marcus grumbled as he said, “Alright, alright I get it, don’t go breaking y'alls stuff. You don’t need to lay it on so freaking thick.” He then pushed open the doors to see inside and called out, “Yo mind if I come in?”
A lighting bolt immediately struck Marcus square in the head, thoroughly charring the demon lord.
“We’re in the middle of training!” Dash yelled out, “Oh hey Twil when’d you get back?”
“About an hour or so ago, but not staying,” Twilight waved her hand in front of her face, “I’m showing Marcus the training hall and dojo.”
“Oh yeaaaaaaaaah,” Rainbow shot in front of Marus in a blur of rainbowic electricity, “You the guy that faced the boss in that arena fight earlier. Honesty I don’t find them all that entertaining unless I’m one of the ones in the ring these days.”
Many of the disciples started to whisper amongst themself.
“I DIDN’T SAY YOU COULD STOP TRAINING YOU LITTLE SHITS NOW GET BACK TO AND START SPARRING! I WANNA SEE SOME BLOOD TODAY!” Dash roared, the student quickly complied before turning back to Marcus, “So ya gonna talk or just stand there like a smoldering barbeque?”
Taking his right claw Marcus whipped off the ash that the lightning strike left on him. Once cleaned enough he growled as he said, “Randomly hit me with lightning again I will set this place on fire.” Crossing his arms again he said, “Now I was told you were going to train me or something?”
“First off, I was ordered to train your wanna-be biker butt in the basics of whatever style of martial arts you want by the boss,” Dash listed on her finger, “Second, If you don’t want to get hit with lighting then don’t interrupt my sessions. And third, I will blast you again if you get out of line.”
“It won’t kill you obviously,” Twilight said. “Everyone student is under the same threat too, so don’t feel bad.”
“I can, reluctantly, agree to all that but I am going to tell ya up front,” Marcus said giving her a harsh glare. “I will not call you or anyone else master, sensei, or boss ya got that.”
“I can respect that but never wanted ya to in the first place,” Dash shrugs. “Besides, pretty much everyone knows about your fight with the main man of the city, so everyone knows you’re a strong guy and got the balls to strut your stuff with your power output. Pretty much everyone is going to call you Lord Marcus for standing against the king in a battle like the one you two had from what I’ve heard about it.”
Marcus turned his head to the side before shaking his head quickly. With a scowl, he said, ”Lord Marcus, that is just… doesn’t sound right. I might be a demon lord Digimon but I am just me.”
“Yes but you also have a grimoire and in this world that makes you far above everyone else in this kingdom already,” Twilight added, “Pretty much on the same level are a knight here, so if not lord, tell them to call you Sir Marcus. The Caribou here are… they just highly respect Asta and his subordinates.”
“Don’t feel bad about it big guy,” Dash added, “It’s just how they are so it’s best not to go against it. I’ll be seeing you at sunrise in a few days after you’ve made a complete recovery in a few days. Till then I have work to do, later! Bye Twi!”
She rocketed off to the front of the class, “Time for the ring!” She cracked her knuckles while many of the disciples started to sweat.
Marcus smirked as he looked over to Twilight and said, “She might not be my Rainbow Dash, but she is cool enough.” Now turning to leave the dojo he asked, “So where is your Spike at cause I wanna get this intro out of the way?”
“That’s a good question actually…” Twilight bluntly stated as a bird flew by behind her.
Marcus shrugged as he said, “Well we can either wait here or go and try and find him.” He then snapped his fingers and said, “Oh yeah I wanted to ask one of you with a grimoire a question. What happens when someone has their grimoire taken from them?” All while he asked this he did not notice the bird.
“This is more of an Asta,” Twilight said as she motioned and they walked along, “So I can only tell you what I’ve heard from him and seen only once. In General, nothing happens to them of note but their magic output is drastically inhibited. They can still use their magic but its nowhere near the strength it should be unless the mage just has a crap ton of mana and or talent. There was a case in the otherworld where I saw an elf overcome with true despair and turn their grimoire into a black five-leaf grimoire that was taken by a devil right after. Asta destroyed the devil and the grimoire as the devil was now the owner of the book. The elf was still tied to it in a way but technically it wasn’t his anymore. To make things simple he completely lost his ability to even use the most basic of his magic though he did still have mana.”
Marcus blinked as she finished her tale and said, “Okay that was fascinating and all but now I have another question. Is it just the basic setting for all Twilights to say they don’t know much of a subject, followed by them giving a long explanation?” Shaking his head he said, “You know what never mind, that is a dumb question.”
With a groan, the Beelzemon walks over to a wooden dummy and said, “Yo Twilight you mind if I get a little workout in while we wait for Spike to show up?”
“Normally I’d say just do it but seeing as how Fluttershy is the one who healed you and said no strenuous activity for three days that will be a hard no,” Twilight forewarned, “And you know how Fluttershy can be, and on top of that this is my Shy who you’ve met. So tell me, do you think is it worth it?”
With a smirk, he said, “Depends on the training.” He pulled put the Berenjena in his right holster with a spin and jumped back and pointed it at the dummy. “Would you count cero/target practice as strenuous,” he asked with his finger ready to pull the trigger.
“With a double barrel shotgun it is,” came a new voice. Marcus looked over and saw a spiky green heard teen. His face, wrists, neck, and angles sported various scars and it was the eyes that caught Marcus, slighted pupils with glowing green irises. “This is a training hall, not a gun range. So put it away,” he glared.
Marcus eyed the teen up and down before raising his gun to the sky. With a smirk, he said, “You know it is only polite to introduce yourself before barking orders but fine.” With another twirl of his Berenjena, he holstered it back. “So I take it you're the Pineapple head that is supposed to train me,” he said in a joking manner.
“One thing you should learn is I don’t do joking little nicknames,” He said, “As you guessed I’m Spike and I stand as Asta’s other right hand alongside Ichigo. You’re training starts tomorrow after lunch,” he turned and left.
“Our Spike is a bit on the rough side, Sorry Marcus,” Twilight looked down, “He still blames himself a lot for us getting kidnapped.”
Marcus looked at Twilight and shrugged as he said, “Hey he got reasonable baggage from his past, I get it. Hell, that fight with Asta was him trying to keep me from attacking my Celestia and Luna or just doing something I might regret like Coding a Knightmon for doing his job.” .
“Spike has a lot more than just his responsibilities here in the Black Clover Kingdom actually,” Twilight looked off to the side, “He’s actually the next in line for the Equestrian throne as he’s Celestia adopted son. Long story short he was an orphan on the streets and broke into the castle on the day of my exam for food. The guards ended up chasing him into my exam room and you can guess what happened next,” she twirled her hair out of embarrassment.
Marcus just looked at Twilight for a moment before bursting out into a fit of laughter, which ended up causing him to fall to the ground clutching his sides. After a moment he got up he said, “Oh sweet King Drasil that is hilarious.”
Whipping a tear from his eyes he said, “Anyways now that I meet my two taskmasters, what should we do now?”
“You go back to the palace under the care of your doctor and rest while I return to Canterlot for my training of my own,” Twilight said, “Bye!” she snapped and a portal wafted over Marcus, taking him to the nursery from earlier in the day.
“Did you enjoy yourself?” he heard a familiar voice. He turned and saw Fluttershy with Aurora in a pen next to her.
“Well I got hit with lighting and snuck up on by a teen with a myriad of issues, so yeah I think it I can say I enjoyed myself,” Marcus said as he looked around. With his thumb he pointed at Aurora and asked, “So why am I here exactly, this nursery I mean? Honestly I figured I would be back in the medical wing.”
“Because I have to keep an eye on you,” Fluttershy bluntly smiled. “After tomorrow’s breakfast, you’ll be able to go and do whatever you wish with an escort. The escort is more of a map of the city. We don’t need you getting lost or stumbling into Urahara’s shop now do we?”
Marcus looked at her with an are you serious look before sighing. “Look thanks but no thanks, I don’t need a babysitter holding my hand like some dumb kid. So I am just going to go,” he said as he started walking towards the door to leave to go anywhere.
“There’s a barrier up already,” Fluttershy giggled. “It wasn’t a request. I healed most of your server injuries so you could move around but you still need a thorough treatment. Don’t think I can’t hold my own in a fight either, so please, don’t fight and just take the treatment.”
Crossing his arms while turning back to face Fluttershy Marcus asked, “Oh and what sort of treatment would that be, insulting me by treating me like I am a toddler?” Brushing her off he then said, “As you can see I am a big Digimon so I am fine thanks.”
“If you’re going to act like a child then you’ll be treated as such,” she sighed as magic vines sprang from the floor and wrapped around Marcus, found the vines totally unbreakable, “See, your still too weak to even break a normal vine let alone a magic infuse one. This is to heal you not torture you but if you insist,” she released him, “Then leave.”
Marcus looked at where the vines were and growled at how right she was. With a flash of light he went back to his Impmon form and crossed his arms. Angrily he tapped his foot on the ground as he said, “Fine you win.”
“Thank you,” Fluttershy smiled as her grimoire activated, “Gaia Magic, Earth Mother’s Light,” she said and a sunflower popped up and bent over Marcus showering him in a soft yet warm light, “If you get hungry let me know. Until then here,” she said and a vine set a small device in front of him. “It's a tablet from what Asta said. He said you’d get bored if you just sat there. It was made using some technology from Edward so it has internet if that's what it’s called.”
Marcus’s eyes shot wide open as he grabbed the tablet as fast as he could. He sat on the ground cross-legged and started messing with it. Since it was connected to the internet he used it to watch bleach fights to see if he could get any ideas on how to advance his Cero.
One month Later…
Marcus, in his Beelzemon form, stood in the middle of the training yard with his sword resting on his shoulder. After the month of training his body had become more muscular from all the training he had gone through. Thanks to the hand-to-hand combat lessons with Rainbow Dash and then the sword training with Spike. From all this grueling work he has managed to get decent with his blade and even use his Cero in combination with his Double Impact, making Cero Double.
Now at the end of his time in this dimension he found himself ready to return home, but first, he needed to give his thanks to his friends. After a second he smirked as he came up with a way to call his hoasts to him. Quickly he unholstered his Berenja and fired a Cero Double into the sky, knowing that they could come to either tell him off or just see what was going on.
“No need to be so dramatic,” Ichigo said from behind Marcus.
“Ed told us you were here,” Spike snuffed. “I wish you stick around for another month so we could get some serious runs ends but I guess your baseline is good enough to hold a candle to a rank one Demon Slayer.”
“You bulked up good didn’t ya,” RD smirked. “Should be able to easily contend with anyone who gives you shit both in this form and your mini form.”
“A month really flew by didn’t it?” Twilight smirked. “It was good to have you with us though.”
Aurora baby talked as she reached out for Marcus, the digimon more than a little reluctant to interact with the child that easily tossed him into a wall when they first met and then would crush his fingers even in his current form.
“Sorry about her Marcus,” Fluttershy held her daughter, “She seems like she’s going to miss you a whole lot.”
“It was fun having you here bud,” Ichigo laughed.
“If you ever need a hand with anything call us over,” Asta said as he tossed a ring with the Black Bulls symbol in between two swords to him, “That marks you as an official Magic Knight and member of my court.”
Marcus turned the ring over a few times before shrugging and putting it on. As soon as he did the black and white black bulls logo appeared on the back of his jacket.
“Not bad,” Asta smirked as his grimoire floated up next to him and he pulled two hand cannon pistols from it, “Catch,” he said tossing them to Marcus. He caught and could fill it in these weapons, they were for slaying unholy things. “They’re the ones Alucard uses in Hellsing and can fire holy bullets or compressed spiritual pressure without draining your reiatsu while also firing concentred magic. The best part is with your new bulked-up self and these not tied to a form you can use them even as Impmon.”
Marcus holstered his Berenjena as he started to spin the hand cannons around until finally gripped the handles tightly. Putting them away in his jacket and with a smirk said, “One would think that you would be handing me all these new things after a month here. But thanks either way Asta.”
“I didn’t contribute to your stay here in any way,” Asta nonchalantly threw up and hand and then smirked, “Think of one as an apology for my daughter pulling your sorry butt here and the other as my end of the summoning contract. Besides, what are friends for after all?”
Scratching his chin he looked at the sky, a small blush appearing on his face, he said, “Speaking of that, I guess I should finally thank you for helping me sort through my anger when I first got here.” Finally looking back at Asta he put out a fist, resting it on his chest, and said, “And just so you know to me my friends are as good as family, so if you ever need me then I will come without a second thought.”
“Good to hear brother,” Asta and Ichigo said in unison.
“Next time you better be ready to earn that buster sword variant,” Spike said as he walked over and held up his fist, “After all, what’s a protag powerhouse like you without having a bigass sword that’s all your own?”
With a smirk, Marcus waved his hand in front of his face as he said, “You don’t need to worry about that.” He then meets his fist with his own before saying, “But if it means that much to ya then I will make sure to meet your standards.”
Moving his fist away as he backed away Marcus looked at the group and smirked, “Well I think that I have spent enough time at this dump, it is time for me to go. I kinda left while in the middle of something, so I should probably get back to that” Turing his back to the group he called back, “You guys have helped me a lot, and I will never be able to thank you enough for that, but this is where we must part ways for a while.” Suddenly he took in a deep breath of air, expelling it as he yelled out, “Yo Ed, you mind helping a mon home?!”
*YAWN*
Marcus blinked a couple of times and then looked off to the side. There stood a blonde six-foot man with a metal arm and his hair down.
“I need coffee…” he mumbled as he scratched his stomach.
With a groan the Beelzemon said, “You can get a coffee when we get back to my dimension alright. So can we please go now, you are kinda ruining my awesome anime goodbye moment here.”
Ed snapped his fingers and was immediately transformed into his usual self, “If its that inconvenient for ya I can always through you into a nearby star,” he threatened as he stretched.
“Now how shall I get you there?” Ed thought. “Trains out 'cause it's being used by another me to do void shit… Hmmmmmm…. Can’t do instant movement cause never actually been to your world. You good with a Gate of Truth?”
Marcus raised an eyebrow and asked, “As long as my eyes, arms, legs, internal organs, and frankly the whole being doesn’t get taken away due to equivalent exchange then sure.”
“It's just a corridor from world A to world b in this case,” Ed motioned with his hand. “If I was actually opening your portal of truth then that would be a cause for a missing something. So you good?”
Marcus gave a nod before saying, “As long as I will be in one piece and not forced into a suit of armor then sure I am good. Now it is time to go, I have an appointment with royalty to keep and I would hate to keep them waiting any longer.”
“Ehehehe, funny…. “Ed glared. “Joke like that again and you will be in a suit of armor for the foreseeable future, possibly for the next three hundred or so years of your future,” he said totaling meaning it and Marcus gulped as Ed clapped his hands and then in a flash of red electricity created a gigantic marble gate that opened into a consuming blackness. “After you,” he motioned as several shadowy hands shot out and grabbed onto Marcus, swiftly pulling the Digimon through the gate.
Marcus’s World…
All was calm in Canterlot Castle’s throne room. Celestia and Luna had just finished dealing with the nobles who had been complaining about the recent increase in royal guard activity sense Marcus’s sudden disappearance. Suddenly the rooms doors opened up as Dianamon and Apollomon walked through, kneeling in front of their tamers.
Apollomon’s mouth opened as he said, “My Lady, we have searched the whole of Canterlot again, and still there seems to be no sign of the Beelzemon known as Marcus. Members of the guard have even reached out to your former apprentice in Ponyville to see if he had returned there. However, even they claim to not know where the fugitive is.”
With a sigh Celestia looked at her sister and said, “That makes almost a full week since his escape. From what we have been told by Twilight and her friends he has not shown to be able to dissipate into thin air, and I doubt they are lying to us. So where could he have gone?” As she said that a large pair of doors appeared in the middle of the throne room.
Quickly the two mega level digimon got to their feet and got into fighting positions, Dianamon with her scythes drawn and Apollomon’s fists set ablaze. For a moment not a single being moved an inch.
Suddenly the doors opened wide and a screaming Marcus was thrown through and onto the floor face first. With a growl the demon digimon jumped to his feet and turned to face the doors. “Could you have not just let me walk through Ed, like was it really that hard, “ he yell asked.
“How dare you show your face in these halls fugitive,” an enraged Apollomon yelled.
Marcus turned to face the literal flaming Mega and dismissively said, “Oh hey what’s up?” He then looked back at the door as if waiting for something else to come through.
Apollomon’s furry grew even hotter as the Beelzemon seemingly ignored him. The floor underneath him cracked as it seemed to disappear for a moment, only to reappear above Marcus with his fist pulled back for a punch. With a howl he called, “Sunfire Punch,” as he brought his fist down to strike Marcus’s head.
“Young fools need to think before they act,” came Ed’s voice from the gate. “Don’t you agree Celestia, Luna?”
Apollomon then found himself immediately where he’d just been before he’d launched his attack with no signs he’d even moved.
The two monarchs and Dianamon looked surprised as the sun lion digimon was suddenly back in back in his starting position. Lune then spread her wings and asked, “What sort of trickery have you employed you vile Demon?”
Marcus turned to look at Luna and started laughing. “You think this dude works for me, I am pretty sure that there isn’t a being alive that can get this guy to do what they want,” he said while clutching his sides. After taking a moment to compose himself he said, “Now can we all be calm and talk things out?”
Dianamon pulled out an arrow of ice from one of the quill-like objects as she said, “There is nothing that needs to be said to a criminal like you.” She then pulled back her arm before throwing it forward, sending the arrow flying at an extreme speed right at Marcus. As it flew it started to glow blue while she yelled, “Artemis Arrow!”
“Enough of your petty parlor trick!” Ed’s voice rang out as several shadows with eyes and mouths shot from the portal and easily knocked the attack away before consolidating into a half-red half-black humanoid mass of eyes and mouth.
“Good afternoon to all,” he bowed mockingly causing the Digimon except Marcus to freeze in fear.
Celestia quickly shook the fear off and moved herself in front of Luna and called out, “Who are you and what compels you to invade our throne room with an escaped convict? Speak now and you might escape my wrath.”
“Ahahahaha!” Ed belted, “Your wrath is something I fear in my own time and place but not this one little pony. As for the Fugitive, as you call him, I am merely returning him to his own proper time and place, and his name is Marcus. The form I come to you in now is that of Abbadomon, though it is not my own but merely a medium to which I took a liking too on my way here. You may call me Edward,” the eyes all glared at the opposition. “The reason Marcus went missing was not his fault either. He was accidentally summoned to the other side of the portal by my niece who knows not what she had done for she is not even a year old.”
Apollomon marched forward and said, “Be that as it may, he was still under arrest for assaulting a member of the royal guard and left before his court date.” He then stood about a foot away from Ed and growled. “Now we thank you for returning the prisoner but it is time for you to go before you’re made to leave,” his fists clenched tightly as he readied to strike the Abbadomon if he needed to.
Dianamon moved back so she could act as a sort of last line of defense in case the throne room turned into a battleground.
“You little things are of no consequence to me just as this flesh puppet that stands in front of you,” Ed shrugged. “You’re far too young and inexperienced to even be able to fathom what kind of powers I wield through just this single puppet. Marcus’s battles are not my own to fight but at the same time that doesn’t mean, I’m not going to sit here and let you unjustly put him back in a cell in the dungeons. You didn’t even try and ask him what was wrong or how he was feeling or even his reasoning for being here, you just announced yourselves and then did your whole spill. I honestly wouldn’t get involved in these types of lower universe squabbles unless it benefited me in some way but seeing as how my brother and Marcus consider each other family that means he’s also my family and I look out for my family.”
Marcus looked up at Ed and turned his head to the side. He had no idea that the guy thought of him in such a way. With a smirk he thought about how he could be fine with having him as family, at least he hasn’t called him some variation of kid yet.
On the inverse Ed’s words just made Apollomon furious. With a growl he said, “Then you shall share his fate, I hereby place you under arrest for harboring a criminal, hindering justice, and finally disrespecting the Princesses Celestia and Luna.” He then back his swung his arm, it catching flame mid-flight, aiming at Ed’s chest area. However, as the fist got close to its target he suddenly stopped it as he heard his tamer yell, “That is enough Apollomon, stand down at once!’
Turning to face the solar Princess the mega asked, “But your Majesty, they have had the nerve to disobey yours and your sister's authority right in front of you. Surely you can’t expect me to allow such a crime to take place?”
Marcus crossed his arms and said, “I would unless you want to know what to be torn apart like a piece of paper.” Sighing he walk past Ed and said, “Look I am sorry for the thing with Knightmon, though to be fair he did challenge me first. I should have handled it better and not flown so far off the handle.”
With that, he gave the monarchs a bow to show he was sorry.
Celestia and Luna looked at Marcus with shocked expressions before looking at each other, as if to see if the other was seeing the same thing. From what they heard of the Beelzemon from their partners and Shinning Armor he did not seem to be even remotely reasonable.
After a second Celestia cleared her throat before saying, “Well I can admit I am sad that sir Knightmon goated you into that dual. So I think this once we can forgive your transgressions.” All the while Luna has nodding to show that she agreed with her sister.
Apollomon looked dumbfounded at the two monarchs, unable to understand what they were thinking. With a sigh he put of the fire engulfing his hand and said, “If that is your will then let it be so.” He and Dianamon then moved to the sides of their tamers, the four of them looking down at Marcus and Ed.
Luna then stepped forward and said, “Now I believe that you have some questions for myself and my sister Marcus.”
Marcus gave a single nod before looking at the Sun and Moon Monarchs with a serious gaze. He crossed his arms as he angrily asked, “Yeah I do, what in the world makes you two think that it was a smart idea to start summoning Digimon to this world? Do you have any idea of the danger you have put your subjects, your lands, and the digimon in?”
“Let’s discuss this over tea,” Ed remarked as they were all suddenly in a magnificent garden the likes none had ever seen before. Ed having returned to his original human form while a hot kettle with a rosy aromatic steam rising from the spout appeared in front of everyone as they were now sitting at a table.
Everyone there but Marcus only grew more unnerved and amazed at this beings power.
“A single young digimon can cause quite a bit of trouble, even undigivloved,” Ed says as he pours tea for the sisters and their partners. “I to would like to hear the truth on this matter from your mouths, and please don’t hide anything you know from us as I can find out details about it that not even you knew about by viewing this world’s past with my own eyes, but I’d rather not have to if you’re willing to be forthcoming.”
Celestia and Luna looked at each other once more before Luna looked at the pair and said, “Yes we understand the potential risk that summoning such creatures can bring, hence why we do so in secured areas.”
Celestia sighed as she looked at Marcus directly and said, “Maybe we should elaborate how our dealings with the digimon began. You see, the first one of your kind brought to this world was due to a young Unicorn’s magical surge about a few years back, and his name was Lucemon. At first we were suspicious of him, though after several meetings with him we grew to trust him. He told us that the digital world was on the brink of collapse due to the tyrannical rule of your King Drasel.” Her eyes then turned to Apollomon, who was just glaring at Marcus and Ed, and frowned. “Lucemon begged me and my sister to allow for his kind to be brought to this world so that they might be sparred, which we happily agreed to do. With his aid we learned how to call forth Digimon to this world at will, though per his advice we made sure it was only done in special facilities. That way we could make sure the threat to are little ponies were protected encase the summoned Digimon was to lash out. After a certain amount of time and with proper teaching they are allowed to leave and join are society,” Celestia finished explaining.
Marcus just blinked for a second before slapping his forehead. “Of course it was Lucemon, why is it that everyone so easily trusts that little angel prick,” he angrily asks.
“Stay calm my friend,” Ed said as he sipped his tea before setting the cup down and looking at the sisters. “Lucemon is easily known for his ability to deceive others through words alone. His power is actually comparable to that of highly level digimon in his rookie state but his is better known as one of the seven demon lords and as the one who embodies pride. Marcus here is another embodiment of the seven being that of Gluttony,” with this mention the solar and lunar digimon suddenly tried to move but found themselves frozen in place. “Worry not. He is actually not the true Beelzemon of Gluttony but far superior as he tamed the Behemoth.” Ed looked at Apollomon who struggled in vain. “I transcend multiple realities and universe child, there is no way you could stand against me. If you keep glaring and thinking evil thoughts then you yourself will fall to your own evil self.”
These words caught Celestia and Luna’s full attention as Apollomon had never talked of having an evil side.
Marcus snapped his fingers as he looked at Ed and asked, “You are talking about Apollomon Whisper Mode right? Cause i think that that form is really cool, the blue flames are awesome.”
Apollomon did his best to look away from the princesses as he said, “That is not a form we Apollomon would ever choose to go into of our own volition. It only happens when an Apollomon is tainted by the whispers of evil.” He then growled as his eyes fixed on Ed and said, “I will never fall to such depravity.”
“Then perhaps you stop thinking Marcus is against you when he is a victim even more than yourself,” Ed warned as he snapped and a holo-image of Marcus and Asta’s fight with Barbamon started to play. “That is Barbamon, the true culprit of the attack on your little hamlet. Marcus and our Brother Asta stopped the psycho before he could do any real damage. He is also actively looking for Lucemon for his plan to unite the seven lords into their most powerful state, which is why his targeted Marcus as he though not a true Embodiment of Gluttony he still meets the qualifications,” Ed explained, shocking Marcus a little as he knew Ed wasn’t there. “As I said before, I can find things out that not even you are aware of. I can exist in any point and time in a universe I’m in or have been in before. Past, present and even future…” he listed off on his metal fingers. “Shall I show you what Lucemon’s true intent is?”
Celestia looked unsure at Ed's proposal, for she truly thought of Lucemon as a friend. However, if what he said was true then it could she really run the chance with the safety of her subjects. “Very well, show us what you wish,” she said in a deaffeted tone.
“Very well,” he stood up and the digimon found themselves able to move once more. The alchemist looked at each one of them, “just so you know… I actually careless then a fraction for what happens to this universe,” he said coldly, even sending a chill down Marcus’s spine. “But I do care about what happens to Marcus as he is my family. I will be watching and if I think I See something threatening him he can’t handle, then as sure as the sun rises and the moon falls by your magics, I will personally interfere and snuff it out…. Permanently.”
“Arc of Time,” Ed said as a silver spell matrix appeared behind him and everything flashed and they were all at the site of Lucemon arrival, “just so you’re aware, you can normally interact with the past like this but doing so will cause ripples and a new timeline to be created in this universe, but at the same time it will not affect the state of your own timeline in any way. That being said, I will be keeping us out of synch just in case you get the urge to to do something stupid,” he looked at the digimon.
Dianamon and Apollomon just looked away at the alchemist’s words and just stuck close to their tamers. Suddenly a flash of platinum light could be seen about a block away, a beam shooting off and landing about ten feet from the group. After a second the beam dissipated to reveal Lucemon with his six snow white wings wrapped around him.
“After so long I am finally free,” Lucemon slowly unfurled his wings and hovered in the air. Quickly he looked himself over as he said, “I am honestly surprised that Barbamon’s plan worked, now to keep up my end of the bargain. I prepare this world for Ogudomon and then we rule this world without having to worry about the fool Drasil and his Knights getting in are way. Now to find the local leaders and make them my willing puppets,” He said looking around.
Lucemon’s eyes widened for a moment before returning to a neutral position, a wicked smirk covering his mouth. “Well I guess I should start with the Castle I see,” with that, he flew off towards the castle.
“Shall we see more?” Ed spun his finger in a circle causing time to speed up to show Lucemon after just having a meeting with the sisters. “Let’s see what the little prick is up to.”
As the scene changed the group could see Lucemon leaving the Canterlot Castle’s throne room. “That couldn’t have gone any better, those sisters will prove to be most useful,” the angel child said with a chuckle while leaving the castle in it whole. Quickly he flew to the tallest spire and stood atop it, looking at the kingdom of Equestria as a whole. Tapping his chin he asked aloud, “Now where would be the best places for the portals?” Suddenly his eyes went wide before returning back to normal, quickly he took off towards the everfree forest to start setting up areas to summon a Digimon army to take this world over with.
Marcus rubbed his chin as he watched Lucemon fly off to the everfree forest and said, “Well that explains why I was in the forest.” He then looked at Ed and said, “I think we have seen enough of this Ed.”
Ed snapped his fingers and they were all back in the throne room, “so tell me,” he looked at the sisters and their partners over his shoulder, “where is he now?”
Luna sighed as she said, “Honestly we have no idea where Lucemon is now. After his last check in a couple months prior we haven’t heard from him.” She looked at her sister and said, “However, he told us that from time to time he would be unable to communicate so we did not think much of it.”
“Well I can deal with that later, I just have one more questions,” suddenly Marcus disappeared in a blur, due to using his Sonido. As quickly as he vanished he reappeared in front of the monarchs and asked, “You gonna keep summoning new Digimon here?”
“They can’t,” Ed remarked. “Lucemon was the one who allowed them to do it, using them as batteries in his stead but now that he’s more than likely regained his lost power from the dimensional transfer he doesn’t need them anymore, as to why Barbamon showed up not long after you did.”
Marcus just looked over his shoulder at Ed and said, “I just assumed that at this point he moved due to the universal walls between this world and the digital one we so thin he could just move freely.” With another Sonido he got back to his friend and said, “Anyways I think I am done here.” With a wave of his hand he called, “If you need to get in touch you know where I live.”
“How dare you speak to the Princesses in such a way,” Apollomon roared out. This outburst just earned a groan from Dianamon, Celestia, and Luna.
Celestia looked at Marcus and said, “You and your friend have left us with much to think about young man, expect to hear from us soon. Oh and before I forget,” she said in a calm voice. “If you even think about hurting Twilight or any of her friends, you will wish Apollomon and Dianamon had finished you in your fight,” venom leaked from every word as she spoke.
“Watch who you’re speaking to in that tone little girl!” Ed voice boomed from above. Everyone looked up to see the massive face of the alchemist staring down at them literally standing in the palm of his, causing everyone but Marcus to fall on their butts?
“I warn,” another Ed appeared in front of them. “If I even see a hint of a weapon raised against him I will end this entire universe without a second thought and place those I deem otherwise in an entirely new one better suited for them, and that’s not a threat but a fact. I’ve done it before after all,” he held up a finger with a glowing white ring and flicked it over at Apollomon who quickly reverted back to his rookie from. “I warned you and yet you didn’t let up, so let’s see how you like have to go back to square one, and not maintain that mega form. Of yours.”
Marcus sighed as he said, “Ed leave turn him back, he was just doing the job of any Digimon who is attached with a tamer. Besides Celestia was just making sure that I don’t hurt the girls, which I respect.” Quickly he got back to his feet and said, “Besides they can’t do much to me at this point so why worry.”
“No,” Ed refused as he walked away to Ponyville, “once he learns some respect then the curse will break on its own.”
Celestia looked at Coronamon, who was also looking at his new form with shock, and said, “Maybe this will help with that attitude he was forming. Now I wish you both a good day.” She then used her magic to pick up her partner, placing him on her back, and lead Luna and Dianamon away from the throne room.
Marcus shook his head as he said, “Ah now I just feel sad for him, I also know the pain of being forced to ride on another's back. Truly there is no greater dishonor then that.” He then quickly turned to Ed and with a growl said, “And don’t you get any bright ideas, I got enough of that kinda stuff from mine and your Fluttershy!”
“You should really enjoy letting others care for you as they’ve tried to do here Marcus, and you’ve never met my Fluttershy,” Ed turned slightly. “My Equestria can be just as blood as my brother’s but I have far more experience in wars than he has and was able to calm it with the help of my wives. At the same time,” he turned back, “I have no intention of doing anything like that. The boy had more than just a pride problem but a massive superiority complex to anything he sees as evil. If this doesn’t work and he still retains this then I’ll send him back to his original world. As for those here, I don’t plan on doing anything to them. Twilight and her friends have done nothing to warrant my Ire the only thing they did was tie you up and that was for their safety after which they not long after set you or you got free, I don’t recall everything but they’ve tried to help you on nearly every occasion. You were just too emotionally unstable to process the situation properly at the time.”
“Oh, so you went to a different Equestria from Asta’s, good to know, As for the while let others take care of me, I still don’t like it. I don’t like being treated like a kid, people thinking that I didn’t know what was really going on and not letting me help, I hate it,” he said with a click of his tongue. He then started to stretch while asking, “So should we head to Ponyville?”
“Of course I have my own Equestria. I'm a little over 15 millennia old at this point in my never ending life. Even the sisters are usually no more than children when compared to me and my girls are a little over seven thousand themselves,” Ed chuckled. “You get treated that way because you’re letting your Impmon nature influence your mind too much. You got lucky when you retained all your memories as a human. A lot of us aren’t so lucky my friend. Asta remembers everything except his original name. Try mediation every now and then, it helps. And we’re already here!”
He motioned to the ‘Welcome to Ponyville’ sign.
Marcus blinked a couple times before groaning, of course they had already arrived with Ed’s abilities. Looking up at Ed he said, “You really need to warn a guy before suddenly moving them somewhere. On that note I want to talk to you about that gate thing earlier.”
Suddenly Marcus’s train of thought was cut off when a loud “Marcus!” could be heard from down the road. Slowly the Beelzemon looked over to see who called him, his eyes opening wide and a nervous sweet started to form on his brow as he saw the caller was a Fluttershy. Her eyes were full of tears as she scowled at the Beelzemon. With a gulp he asked, “Hey Ed you mind taking me back to Asta’s, Fluttershy looks like shes about to kill me?”
Ed was currently sitting on a bench flipping through the Canterlot Gazette, “oh, Fleur came out with a new amethyst ball gown for the Gala this year in this world, looks nice.” He chuckled as he flipped the page, “you’re on your own when it comes to your friends Marcus. You caused this mess to begin with, remember?” He said with a raised finger from behind the paper, “Oh Donut Joe’s has cinnamon sugar with extra spice!”
Marcus just looked at Ed dumbfounded and wanted to yell at him to help. However, before he could do anything Fluttershy’s hooves pulled his head to face her, now mid air while continuing to scowl. With a nervous chuckle he said, “H-hey Shy, what’s up?”
“What’s up, what’s up!? Is that all you have to say for yourself after being gone for nearly a week,” she lectured. “Do you know how worried I was, I thought the princesses had sent you to Tarturus. What made you think running off like that was a good idea, you are in so much trouble young mon,” she set herself back on the ground and starred up at him. With a stomp of her hoof she said, “Now what have you been up to!”
“If I may interject my little butter yellow lady,” Ed stood up and folded the paper and placed it under his arm. “Marcus didn’t run away of his own accord but was summoned across the void to my younger brother’s universe by his less than one year old daughter. With her being a toddler and unable to establish a formal contact as a displaced there was no way for them to send him home. So he stayed in the world while reflecting on his action that led up to the actions before he came to that universe. It's already been cleared by your reality’s version of the royal sisters. Nice to meet you, I am Edward Elric, the Crimson Sage as well as Marcus’s friend, honorary brother, and his ride back to this universe.”
Fluttershy looked at Ed and cowered for a moment at his appearance as Abbadomon but relaxed as he explained everything. She smiled as she nodded and said, “Well I thank you for that explanation, though I can’t say I understood all of it, but it is appreciated.” Her stern stare then returned as she looked back at Marcus and said, “However, he still left Twilight’s castle without a word and threatened Rainbow, and yes she told me. So while I know understand while you were gone for so long, you are still in trouble for that. I hope you like being Impmon because you are going to be in that form for a while.”
Pleadingly Marcus turned to Ed as if to ask him for his help on this, he was honestly more scared of Fluttershy than he ever was with Asta.
“And I’m going to stop you there little miss,” Ed waved a hand and Fluttershy and Marcus found themselves separated a good ways apart. “Marcus is not a kid but a grown being who is capable of making his own choices and mistakes. You’re not his mother or his guardian, your his friend and as his friend you should realize how much of a hard time he was having before he left this world,” Ed gave a soft glare. “Summoned across time and space without rhyme or reason let alone ripped away from his home and family while in a new universe in a totally different form than he’s used to. Please stop me if you wouldn’t have a hard time coming to grips with reality if you were just some random normal creature to go through that?”
Fluttershy looked at the ground as she listened to Ed, barley moving an inch. As he finished as few tears could be seen falling on the ground. With a sniffle she said, “I know I am not his mother or guardian, or understand his emotions on being brought to this world. But like you said he is my friend.” Slowly she raised her head were it was clear for all to see tears were freely flowing. “I just wish he would have tried to talk to us, talk to me so I could have tried to help him. We might not be related by blood but I view him like I do my own little brother,” she said in a slightly shaky tone.
“No you’re right too little one,” Ed turned his gaze to Marcus who clinched a bit. “He was closed off, pig headed and rushing things before he even had time to process what was going on himself. You and your friends are not at fault for anything more than just being good little ponies and better friends. That being said, you were all dowding him a bit making him even more flustered and wanting to get away.”
Marcus was in shock at what he saw as he walked up to Fluttershy, turning back to Impmon as he did so. He might not always like being in this form but right now he felt like he could live with it, he just wanted her to feel better. Once up close to her he put a hand on her left front leg and said, “I am sorry Fluttershy, I should have talked to you but I was to dumb and didn’t even think about it.” With a few tears of his own he asked, “Do you think you could forgive a thoughtless idiot like me?”
Fluttershy gave a nod as she smiled down at Marcus and said, “Of course I can Marcus, but only if you can forgive me to.” This just earned a nod of agreement from the Imp. With a sniffle she said, “Now I think that we should go see the girls, they were worried about you as well.”
“Donut?” Ed offered from box from Pony Joes.
Marcus looked at Ed with an exhausted look and asked, “Will I ever understand why you do what you do? When did you get donuts?”
“Not really,” Ed shrugged, “And just now. So what was it you wanted to know about the Portal of Truth before our little yellow Pegasus pony showed up?” He asked as he munched on a donut.
It took the Impmon to remember what he wanted to ask before it finally came back to him. Pointing at him he asked, “Oh yeah, I was curious why it grabbed me with those arms and literally dragged me though! What was wrong with me just walking like a normal creature, why the digihandeling?!”
“That’s just how it works. Its actually more like pulling you apart atom any atom on one end and reassembling in reverse on the other,” Ed happily, much on one donut after another. “It did it to you because you needed to be sent here, I on the other hand can just make a body once I felt like it. I’ve been in this world a few times since Asata came but I only make myself known if I feel like it.”
Marcus blinked a couple times and then asked, “How many times have you been here and what have you seen?” He only asked this to see if he would rat him out for letting that Cherrymon go back at Sweet Apple Acres.
“I’ve been here like mmmmmm…….” Ed thought, “lost count after fifty or so,” he shrugged “as for what I know, I Can travel through a worlds timelines as I please and as long as I have a physical form present I can take others with me like earlier, but that doesn’t mean I need a physical body to look through time for myself.”
With a blink he said, “That did not answer the what you know bit. All that did was say what you can do.”
“It literally answered everything,” Ed corrected. “Everything,” he emphasized.
“You know that you could have just said that, it has been a long day and my brain doesn’t want to work that well,” he said with a groan. Shaking his head he asked, “So you gonna snitch or what?”
“Snitch, I didn’t know you had those here?” Ed smirked. “They’re quite tasty after all? Just let me know if you have an issue with them and I’ll deal with it permanently for you myself!” He gave several toothy grins.
WIth a shiver he said, “Dude, when you are in a form that is at least one third mouth, do not do a toothy grin. That is just creepy.” One last time he sighed before smiling at Ed and saying, “Anyways I will let ya know, thanks for all your help bro.”
“I meant what I Said earlier Marcus,” Ed stopped as they arrived at their destination. “If ya need me just ask. I keep a close eye on my family, and those they consider family. I’m not a fix all though. Asta would tell you I show up and only do the minimum or give advice. I don’t interfere unless I think you’ll die or something unreasonable happens.”
Marcus gave a nod and said, “Well as long as you don’t interfere too much with my fights coming up then I am happy to call you if I need you.” He looked at Twilight’s castle that they had walked to, Fluttershy standing next to the entrance. With a sigh he said, “I guess this is it for now isn’t it?”
“Might as well rip it off quick,” Ed said in a chili state as he now stood six inches tall on Marcus’s shoulder.
Frowning Marcus looked up at Ed and said, “You will tell the others thanks again for me won’t you, they did a lot for me.”
“They did it because they wanted to do it Marcus,” Ed shook his head. “They know how much you appreciate it, now quit stalling or I’ll instant us in myself.”
Marcus groaned as walked up to the castle’s doors, watching as Fluttershy pushed them open to reveal the rest of the main six standing in the corridor. At the doors sudden opening the girls turned to face the nervous looking Impmon and gasped in shock. Suddenly he was tackled by the five ponies and knocked on the ground.
From the pile of ponies Marcus could be heard saying with a crushed breath, “Can’t breath, need air.”
The tiny Ed floated above the ponies who were none the wiser to his presence. Ed saluted with a wink before floating out a nearby window, “I have my own business to take care of in this world after all little brother. Call me when you wish!” He called out as he flew off.

Hello all, I hope you enjoy this extra-long chapter. This was my second time crossing over with Ghost Alvasa's "The Equestrian Magic Knight", make sure to show him some love. Now while I have you here I just wanted to let you know not to expect another update on this fic for a tiny bit. It is not because I don't want to work on it anymore, I just want to work on updates for the other fics I have, or at least a couple of them. Digimon Displaced Adventure
In the city of Manehatten there is a massive navel port that allows merchants from across the ocean to come to Equestria, well at least those who don’t have much accessibility to air travel. On a typical day at least twenty to thirty ships pass through these waters. However, for some strange reason there has been no new inbound ships coming into port for at least three days.
Sitting on the edge of one of the many piers was one of the many dock workers, a large brown stallion wearing a blue cap, fishing in the bay. Due to the lack of work over these last couple days the man to do something fill his time. Suddenly the would be fisherman’s line started to tug. Excitedly the stallion started to pull on the line while saying, “Finally, come to papa you!”
It took a couple of tugs before the struggle finally ended and the fisherman finally reeled in his pray. However, his eyes shot open with shock and his mouth hung open in fear. Instead of bagging so massive fish like he had expected, no instead his catch was a heavily wounded white Hippogryph looking creature with a winged egg thing around its neck. In a panic the stallion called out, “Hey, buddy, hold we will get you some help? What in Celestia’s name happened to you?”
The Hippogryph groaned as he slightly opened his eyes to look at his would be savior. With a raspy breath it only said a single thing before falling into unconsciousness, which was, “Leviamon.”
Meanwhile in the Everfree forest Marcus, in his Beelzemon form, was practicing his swordplay. This had become part of his normal routine since coming back from Asta’s dimension a couple weeks ago. Because of the relative inactivity of ponies of the forest made it one of the best places to train. Now he could practice all his different abilities, moves, and most of his forms in peace. The only exception to this training being his new Marchosiasmon form.
Honestly ever since his battle with Asta, in which he lost control after using his resurrection, he has been reasonably hesitant to try it again. With on final swing a blade of energy shot out of the Beelzemon’s sword and severed a tree, which promptly fell to the ground with a thud. With a smirk he threw the sword into the air, leaning to the right slightly so it would land in the sheath on his back before immediately righting himself.
Looking around at the damage his training has caused, the demon lord digimon was pleased. With a nod he let out a whistle, which was meet by the roar of engines as the motorcycle Behemoth speed towards him. The mechanical beast coming to a screeching halt before his rider for his to easily mount, which he happily did. From there it was but a mater of a few minutes before arriving back at Fluttershy’s cottage.
As he parked in front of the cottage he noticed that on the door was slightly open and the sound of clinking metal could be heard. With a scowl he pulled out the left Berenjena and hopped off his bike. Slowly inching his way closer to the door before kicking it open, knocking it off its hinges, and aiming his weapon inside. Now with a clear view of the homes inside he noticed Fluttershy was sitting on her couch with three guards, one pegasus stallion, one unicorn mare, and one earth pony mare, standing across from her. All four of them staring at the demon digimon with shock at his sudden, and violent appearance.
Fluttershy’s gaze quickly turned from shock to slight anger, an unhappy frown plastering itself her face. “Marcus, put that things away this instant. These guards are not here to cause trouble, they just came to pass on a message for you.” The normally quite and shy pegasus mare said in a rather authoritative tone.
With his curiosity peaked Marcus holstered his weapon and asked, “What’s this about a message for me?”
The pegasus stallion stepped forward, and upon closer inspection his guard armor seemed different from his colleagues. Unlike standard gold that adorned the two mares this stallions armor was primarily aquamarine with some gold trim as the metals edges. Offering a salute the stallion said, “Yes, I am Captain Sea Breeze of the Manehatten branch of the royal guard and I have come to ask you for your aid.”
Crossing his arms Marcus asked, “Oh, and what exactly do you need me for?”
Captain Sea Breeze nodded as he said, “Yes I do, though I can understand why you might be a bit hesitant. Before coming here some friends of mine from the Canterlot branch told me of the altercation.”
“Okay but that does raise a rather glaring question, if you know this then why still come here?” Marcus’s mouth moved into a cocky smirk waiting for his potential answers. To him the only reason the guards, no matter the branch, would come to him for help knowing his dust up with them means that they are really up a creak.
With a sigh the guard captain took off his helmet, revealing a mint green mane styled in a mohawk, and said, “In truth, I originally brought this before princess Celestia but she told me to come see you.” Sea Breeze gave the demon digimon a serious look, making the atmosphere tense once again. “You see four days ago a strange hippogryph was caught in a fishing dock workers line. From what the dock worker told use in his statement, before passing out the hippogryph he said the word Leviamon.”
As Marcus listened to the the situation, using his right hands thumb and pointer finger to rub his chin, two questions popped into his head. First, was this hippogryph that Sea Breeze mentioned Hippogryphonmon? The golden egg thing mentioned sounded made him think so. The second ,and arguably more important, was WHAT THE HELL WAS LEVIAMON DOING IN THIS WORLD?! That thing is literally one of the biggest and baddest digimon part of the Seven Demon Lords, let all the rest of digimon kind. Seriously, that monster’s maw is large enough to swallow Whamon whole.
After a second he took his hand away from his chin and pointed at the front door. In a threatening tone he said, “Leave now, and never come back.”
The statement shocked all the ponies in the room, especially Fluttershy. “S-sir, I am afraid I do not understand,” Sea Breeze stammered out. “We need your help in figuring out what is going on. Why do you want us to leave so suddenly?” he asked with a mixture of fear and anger.
“Cause I don’t want anything to do with Leviamon. Now, if you had just come here because you found some random Hippogryphonmon then I wouldn’t mind helping. But no, I refuse to mess around with anything with that thing.” Marcus’s gaze hardened as he then said, “Now get out, I wont say it a third time.”
Sea Breeze looked at Marcus and tried to figure out something to get the digimon to change his mind. However, he couldn’t think of anything. With a sigh of defeat he said, “Alright, I am sorry for disrupting your day.” Motioning to the other two guards to follow the three quickly exited the cabin.
With a sigh Marcus lowered his arm and turned his gaze to a not pleased looking Fluttershy. The cream mare crossed her hooves and asked, “Want to tell me why you treated those ponies so rudely, especially when they came here to ask for your help?”
Marcus sighed as he dedigivolved into Impmon and sat on the ground. “Trust me Fluttershy, it is best to forget about those ponies. If Leviamon is involved they are as good a dead anyways.” As he spoke his voice showing a mixture of sadness and regret for what just happened.
Fluttershy’s eyes widened in fear and asked, “What do you mean, who is this Leviamon? GIven its name I can assume that it is another Digimon like yourself, but you sound like he is something else.” She watched as Marcus pulled his knees to his chest and shut his mouth tight. “Marcus your scaring me, I need you to tell me what is going on,” she pleaded. However, the only response she got was the little imp shutting his eyes. It was clear that whatever this digimon Marcus was uncomfortable talking about it, scared even. Sighing she hopped off her couch and walked over to Marcus. She set her hoof gently on his back in attempts to comfort him before saying, “I can see this hard for you to talk about, but if somepony is in danger then I need you to tell me what is going on.”
A slight growl escaped Marcus’s throat before violently moving away from Fluttershy’s hoof, causing the pegasus to yelp slightly. “Look I am sorry, I really am, but there isn’t anything you or I could do to help them. The demon lord Leviamon is one of the most dangerous Digimon in existence, whose jaws alone are capable of tearing apart the whole of the digital world. Even us other members of the Seven Demon Lords are scared of that thing, cause to fight against him is just asking for death. So do you get it now, that is why I said its best to forget about them!” By the end of his tears started forming in his eyes. With a slight hitch in his throat he asked, “I want to help them, but what am I supposed to do?”
I killed him inside that he couldn’t help, heck that is part of why he went through all of this training with Asta and them. But what was he supposed to do against Leviamon? Honestly the only chance he figured he had would be if he turned into Marchosiasmon, but that would more than likely just add to the problem.
Fluttershy could see how much this was weighing on Marcus’s mind. Wrapping a comforting wing around his current tiny form she said, “I am sorry, I had no idea that this digimon was such a problem. But if he is dangerous as you say then we have to do something, there just has to be something that could be done.”
Resting his head on Fluttershy’s barrel Marcus and with a sigh he said, “Okay, maybe I could go and talk to this Hippogryphonmon and see what the full Leviamon situation is. Though I will need someone who knows the area to help me get around, preferably not a guard though.” If he remembered right then Rarity had a shop in Manehatten, so maybe he could ask her. With a groan the Impmon broke away from the cream pegasus and started walking towards the door, midway digivolving back to Beelzemon. “Alright I better get going, time might not be on my side,” he said as he opened the door and started walking through. However, when he was halfway out the door he suddenly stopped and said, “Listen incase this ends badly, thanks for being such an awesome friend. Honestly, I have no idea what I would have do if it weren’t for you.”
For a brief moment no one said anything, until the comforting voice of Fluttershy said, “Be safe, I will be waiting for you to come home.”
A confident smirk plastered itself on Marcus’s face as he left the cottage. It was like all the fear that had once plagued him had just suddenly disappeared into thin air. With a renewed confidence he hopped back onto Behemoth and revved the engine, and performing a wheelie. Once the front wheels were back on the ground he sped off towards Rarity’s Boutique to try and convince her to come with him. If worst came to worst, and this little mission did not mean his brutal end, he would just act as her mannequin for a few weeks.

Digimon Displaced Adventure
The roar of Behemoth’s engines could be heard all through Ponyville as it and Marcus sped through the town. Ponies screamed and dived out of the way to avoid getting run down. As they raced through the town Rainbow Dash flew up next to him, matching his speed perfectly. “What in Celestia’s name are you doing, why did you bolt out of Twi’s castle?” She asked in both a frantic and angry tone.
Without even looking towards the cyan Pegasus Marcus said,” I am going to get some answers from these Princess of yours.”
Rainbow Dash was dumbfounded by his words and with a snarl yelled,” We could have just sent them a letter asking for some information. The Princess is reasonable, I am sure they would be happy to send a letter explaining everything.”
“The written word is easy to fake” his tone gets darker, beardly loud enough to be heard over Behemoth’s engine roar. Quickly pulled back on the accelerator, rocketing him and Behemoth forward and leaving Rainbow coughing from the dust cloud he made. “I want answers to face to face, to make sure they are telling the truth,” he said in a tone loud enough for only him to hear.
Rainbow Dash and Marcus seemed to race one another throughout the town, Rainbow constantly trying to get him to stop. However, with each attempt came another failure. This little dance between the two continued until finally, the cyan Pegasus cut him off in an alleyway near the edge of Ponyville, forcing him to pull on the brakes hard. With a screech of Behemoth's wheels, he stopped inches away from her.
With gritted teeth, Marcus shouted,” Why do you insist on standing in my way!” Casting his gaze downwards before saying,” You told me that you and the others would be willing to help me find out why I was brought to this world, well this is how I am doing it.” Swiftly reaching his right hand to his right leg and pulled out one of his Berenjena and shot the ground in front of her. With a dark gleam in his eye said,” Now either step out of the way, or the next shot won't miss.”
Rainbow’s eyes shot open as she looked at the smoldering crater where he shot before looking back at the demonic biker Digimon. As she looked at him she could notice the slight shaking of his gun. It was clear to her that he didn’t want to aim his weapon at her and that it was taking everything he had to look tough. With a sigh, the cyan Pegasus said,” Alright, you win. I will get out of your way.” Taking to the air just enough for him to pass she smirked while saying,” Just make sure not to do anything too stupid, I don’t wanna be the one to deal with Fluttershy if something were to happen to you.”
As Rainbow Dash moved out of Marcus’s way a small smile made its way across his face. Holstering his gun back to his leg he quietly said,” Thanks Skittles, you are a good friend.” Quickly he pealed out before the rainbow-maned pegasus could get onto him for calling her Skittles. Quickly he speed off towards the railroad tracks on the edge of town and started driving alongside the tracks. As he rode along the tracks he kept an eye on the castle that sat on the top of the mountain he was speeding towards by the second.
As Marcus drove towards Canterlot a voice calm feminine voice suddenly sounded behind him saying,” Are you sure this is the wisest course of action to take?” Turning his head enough to see who this newfound passenger he groaned seeing Renamon sitting sidesaddle with one leg crossed over the other on the back of Behemoth.
With a scoff, Marcus turned his attention back to driving while saying,” I don’t know if this is or not, but then again don’t care. Anyways, what does my trying to get answers to matter to you?” He knew that Renamon was working for someone, heck she said so herself, but he could not for the life of him figure out why they would care about what he is doing. The most probable theory he could come up with is that they needed him for something.
“My mistress has a vested interest in you, a storm is brewing and she thinks that you will be able to quell it. So that is why I care” Renamon said in a calm yet firm tone. Swiftly she stood on the back and leaned over Marcus, saying,” What you are planning could doom both yourself and your newly found home.”
Marcus didn’t say anything at first before saying,” First off, get out of my field of vision while I am driving. Second off, go back to your boss and tell them that I don’t care about their storms and crap 'cause I am getting what I want and no one will stop me.”
With a sigh, Renamon got out of his line of sight and said,” I can see that no matter what I say you shall continue with this crusade then I offer you my best wishes. However, I honestly do hope that for your sake and everyone else's that these answers are worth it.” After she said that a flurry of leaves suddenly flew in front of Marcus’s view. Once the leaves finally got out of his vision he just let out a sigh and continued to drive, only now with his mind echoing Renamon’s words.
After a could hours of driving at top speed he managed to see the canterlot train station, or at least what he assumed it was. As he drew ever closer he could see what looked like several lines of both the typical royal guards and white Pawnchessmon, all in basic battle formation. However, he took special notice of a white Unicorn male with purple armor and a large Knightmon with a large banner embroidered with a golden sun banner protruding from his back, and a massive sword to his side, in front of the rest.
Marcus slammed on the brakes, turning Behemoth to the side before he could slam into the two. The three just stared at each other for a moment before the Unicorn spoke,” I am Shinning Armor, Captain of the Royal Guard, state your business here!” As he spoke the Knightmon grabbed onto his giant sword.
Crossing his arms over his chest he said,” My business is just that, mine.” With a quick nod towards the Knightmon, he asked,” The more important question is why this Knightmon and the White Pawnchessmon seem to be backing you?” This had to have been one of the few times he has seen both Digimon and Pony working together, well aside from him of course. However, the sight did help confirm that the royal house had something to do with why the Digimon were in this world.
With a flick of the wrist Knightmon maneuvered the massive sword to point at Marcus while saying,” Hold thy tongue naive, you speak to the head of the Royal Digimon core. We are her majesty Celestia and Luna’s vanguard unit, now dismount thy strange chariot and surrender thyself for questioning.”
Marcus looked at the sword and Knightmon a couple of times before bursting out into a fit of laughter. “Holly crap I know you are supposed to be a knight, but seriously do you have to talk like you just left the local Renaissance fair,” he said while clutching his side, and making the Knightmon dip his sword slightly out of surprise. Once he managed to get his laughter under control his gaze turned stern as he said,” Yeah not gonna happen this or any century pale, now get out of my way or I will send you back to the dark ages.” As he said that he reached his left arm down and grabbed the Berenjena on the same side's leg holster and pointed it at the Chivalrous Digimon.
The two stared each other down before Shinning Armor stepped in between them and said,” Okay that is enough, you two need to lower your weapons.” Looking then strictly at Marcus and saying,” Look, we would rather not fight you if we don’t need to. Just tell us why you are here.”
Marcus just looked at Shinning Armor before growling and screaming,” LIKE I TOLD YOUR FRIEND WITH THE GIANT SWORD, MY BUSINESS IS MY OWN SO GET OUT OF MY WAY!” Quickly he turned his shotgun towards Shining Armor and growled like a beast.
Shinning Armor stared at the weapon seemingly unnerved and was about to say something, but was stopped when Knightmon said,” Sir Shinning Armor, please hold your breath. It is clear that this devil has no intention of backing down.” Shinning Armor turned to look at Knightmon before sighing and backing away from between the two and ordered the royal guard and Pawnchessemon to stay back. Knightmon gave a grateful nod to his equine friend and turned his attention back to Marcus, saying,” Now seeing as you refuse to yield, I formally challenge you to one on one combat.”
“You want a duel?” Marcus asked with a smug voice holstering his guns. With a smirk he snapped his fingers causing his grimoire to suddenly rocket in front of him, having flown from its resting place in Ponyville. He had learned this trick a few weeks back and was chomping at the bits to use. Moving his hand over the book with a fly he forced it to open wide, blasting a white light from the book encompassing him. Quickly the light turned black until being dissipated to reveal the form he used to battle Barbamon, Beelzemon Mystic mode. With his newly formed six black wings, he started to rise into the air, his black robes and crimson shawl bellowing in the air, and said,” Then I will more than happy to oblige.”
Knightmon grasped the handle of his sword with both hands as he raised it into the air, it started to glow before yelling out,” Have at the vile demon, Berserker Sword!” Bringing the sword down a blade of energy launched from the sword. As the energy blade flew it started to grow and grow, until reaching a height large enough to hit Marcus.
Marcus did not seem to move an inch, just hovering in pace as the massive energy slash came ever closer. Right before the attack struck him he raised his hand, his grimoire’s pages rapidly turning, and a large magic circle appeared blocking the slash. With an evil smirk, he said, “My turn, Impaling darkness!” As he said this the pages of his grimoire stopped turning as ten black tendrils launched out of the magic circle at Knightmon.
The knight Digimon swung his sword as each of the tendrils neared him defending quite well, even managing to cut six of the tendrils until only four remained. However, those four tendrils were able to pierce their target in both the arms and shoulders making them crackle with digital distortion. Letting out a pain-filled howl Knightmon was raised into the air and Marcus floated close to him.
“So do you yield or are gonna keep annoying me until you have nothing but data, cause at this point I am willing to go either way,” Marcus said in a cocky tone voice.
All Knightmon could do is groan before saying,” I will never wield, I would rather perish a thousand times than cast out my honor in running away from a demon like you.” His right arm started to twitch before the knight finally forced his arm to swing the flat of his sword at Marcus. However, the hunk of metal was stopped dead in its tracks by Marcus pointing two fingers of his left hand to intercept it.
With a sigh, Marcus said,” Well, I can officially say that I am over this.” He snapped his finger on his right hand, forcing the tendril into Knightmon’s left shoulder, and positioned it to target his head. The tendril reeled back but before it could launch forward a spinning metal object came and cut all of the tendrils, dropping Knightmon onto the ground.
Shocked Marcus looked in the direction that the object came from to see what had freed his target. After a second his eyes finally landed on a polearm weapon with crest blades sticking out of the ground. Something about the weapon seemed familiar to him but could not tell why. Suddenly, he could feel a growing heat emanating from above him and when he looked up he was greeted by a fist covered in fire that launched him downwards at blistering speeds.
Upon impact, a Beelzemon crater formed with a stunned Marcus at its center. A pained groan escaped his throat as his eyes slowly opened to try and see what in the world just hit him. At the edge of the crater, he could make out the blurry image of two humanoid beings. The being on the right is a mix of orange, gold, and red like fire. While the one on the left, holding that polearm weapon from earlier, was a mixture of silver and blue. As his vision slowly started to right itself the being on the left started to shin and he could hear it say, “ Goodnight Moon.” Upon hearing those words he found himself growing more and more sleepy until finally falling unconscious.
