West 1
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThinking west was the best idea, you head that way. But as you went you noticed that it got more and more quite the farther you walked. You didn't know if that was a good thing or bad thing. But still you walked. Hoping to find some kind of shelter or something. The area was soon cleansed with fog as it got thicker and thicker, even in the afternoon sun light.
You slowed down, sometimes testing your footing to make sure you wouldn't walk off a cliff. And thank god you did as you almost fell right into a large ravine. Even without the fog, you don't think you could have been able to see the bottom. Looking around, you were able to spot an old rickety bridge that crossed the ravine. Someone had to make that bridge right?
So there must be someone on the other side that can help you out. Nodding at that logic, you made your way to the bridge. Vines and what not coiled around the ropes, hopefully making it stronger. Gulping you took a tentative step onto the first plank. It groaned but held thankfully. You began slowly moving across the bridge, testing every plank before putting your full weight on it. It was dead silent other than your breathes and the groaning of wood.
When you got across, you breathed a sigh of relief. Then you heard the crashing of wood as the wood polls in the ground way and the bridge collapsed on both sides, leaving no way to get back across the ravine. "Shit." You muttered, relieved you weren't on that bridge. Looking ahead, you saw a large broken down castle. It probably looked great back in its prime.
Taking a breath you traveled up the path to the castle and immediately you can feel someone watching you when you enter the castle through the large front doors that were already open. The sun was beginning to set so you had to set up camp soon. Walking through the halls, you came into a mostly intact throne room. This was probably the best place to set up camp.
Nodding, you turned and exited the room. After getting some fire wood, you returned to the throne room and placed some to the side and the wood you were going to use for the fire near a broken window so the smoke would have a place to escape. Then you realized something. You had nothing to light the fire. And it was already getting dark.
Sighing, you took a look at some of the tapestries and tore down a blue tapestry and folded it. Using it as a pillow, you tried to go to sleep, but the cool night air kept you from sleeping. But then, a warm... something covered you. Being too tired to do anything, you fell asleep.
Waking up, you found your fire, lit and a few raspberries in a pile. Someone must have done it. But who? "Hello?" You called out, looking for whoever was responsible for helping you. "Thank you for the berries and fire. I won't hurt you. Promise." Still, nothing but silence. But then, a small breeze drifted past your ear. It almost sounded like someone saying.
"Your welcome."
You wipped around, trying to see who said that. Still, nothing. But you could see, in the few shadows that were in the place with the early morning light, an outline of a figure. It was equine in shape. Four hooves, horse like body. But something was... different. It's barrel was slimmer, feminine almost. A foot long horn jutted out of its head with two angelic wings on it's back. Instead of a usual mane their was a cloud like image instead. You blinked and the outline was gone. This place was messing with your head. Either way, you had to survive till help arrives. That meant looking for supplies inside the castle. Or looking outside the castle.
