A bright yellow mare with a bright red mane and tail, and a hammer and nail crossing together, making an x shape, for a cutie mark was standing in front of a run down club house. "Hey Applebloom!" called out a voice behind her. She quickly turned around to find an orange pegasus with a purple mane and tail, and a flaming wheel for her cutie mark, standing right behind her.

"Scootaloo!" Applebloom called out as she ran over, and gave her friend a hug.

"Hey, can I join?" called out a third voice, making Scootaloo, and Applebloom turn their heads at the same time to see a white mare with a purple and pink mane and tail, and a music note for her cutie mark.

"Course ya can Sweetie!" said Applebloom, pulling Sweetie Belle into the hug. They embraced each other for a few more moments before they let go.

"It's good to see you gals again." said Scootaloo.

"Same here." said Sweetie.

"Yeah." agreed Applebloom. "So you gals here for the Summer Sun Celebration?" she asked.

"Yeah. I'm here to perform some tricks!" Scootaloo announced proudly.

"Really? Wow!" said Applebloom.

"And I'm singing." Sweetie Belle told them.

"That's amazing! I'm sure you'll do great." Applebloom said.

"I'm not surprised. You have an awesome voice." Scootaloo told her. Sweetie blushed.

"Thanks gals." she said.

"So how're you doing?" Scootaloo asked Applebloom.

"Well I work the farm, but when I can I like to build things." Applebloom said, "Applejack is a bit of a hoof full, but Mac usually helps me whenever he can. He's gonna grow up to be a fine apple farmer. How 'bout y'all?"

"Well I get hired to sing for a bunch of different things, and I own my own house in Canterlot." Sweetie told her.

"And I get to tour Equestria, and put on shows. I got a house in Las Pegasus." Scootaloo told them.

"Hey gals. Remember when we used to do crazy things to get our cutie marks?" Applebloom asked them.

"Oh yeah! Remember that time we tried to build a giant paper airplane?" said Scootaloo.

"Don't remind me." said Sweetie laughing.

"Or that time we tried snorkeling." Scootaloo reminded them.

"Ugh. It took me weeks to get the smell of fish out of my mane." Sweetie said, her two friends laughing at her expense.

"Well what about all those times you tried to fly, but ended up landing on your face." Sweetie retorted. Suddenly the mood became tense, and Applebloom, and Scootaloo stopped laughing.

"You know it's not my fault I can't fly!" said Scootaloo. Sweetie Belle hung her head.

"You're right. I'm sorry." she apologized. Scootaloo's expression softened.

"I'm sorry about that, it's just I'm a bit sensitive about not being able to fly." Scootaloo said.

"I know. I'm sorry I brought it up." Sweetie said.

"It's fine." Scootaloo told her. Just then she smiled. "Hey what about all those times when I crashed my scooter." she said.

"Oh yeah! And that one time where you landed straight in Rumble's-" Sweetie was cut off by Scootaloo.

"We agreed to never speak of that again." said Scootaloo, making the other two burst into laughter. When the laughter died down Applebloom spoke up.

"It's good to see y'all again." she said.

"Same here." agreed Sweetie.

"Yeah." said Scootaloo. They all embraced in one more hug.

"Alright, I should get going. I'm going to get prepared." Sweetie told them, breaking away.

"Allright, I'll see ya later Sweetie." Applebloom said.

"I better leave too." said Scootaloo, grabbing her scooter, "Say hi to Applejack, and little Mac for me."

"I will!" Applebloom called out as Scootaloo rolled away at high speeds leaving Applebloom alone once again. "Well, I guess I should get prepared too." she said before walking off in the direction of her house.

--

It was dusk. A purple light shone down as all the ponies gathered in the building that was to be used for the Summer Sun Celebration. Each of the ponies were eager to see the Princess raise the sun. Scootaloo and Applebloom were close together, while Sweetie was nowhere to be found. Of course, that's because she was singing, so she was probably backstage.

"I can't wait to hear Sweetie sing." chirped Applebloom excitedly.

"Me neither. I wonder what she's going to sing anyways?" pondered Scootaloo. Just then, birds started singing, and everyone got quiet. A pink mare with a tiara gracing her flank walked up to the microphone on stage.

"How she got to be mayor, I'll never now." Applebloom whispered.

"Yeah." snickered Scootaloo.

"Ahem." the pink mare cleared her throat into the mike. "As mayor of Ponyville it is my honor to present to you Princess Celestia! But first a song from one of our very own Sweetie Belle!" she called out, spitting Sweetie's name. When the curtain rolled back their jaws dropped.

Sweetie Belle was beautiful. She wore a sparkling black dress, and her mane was styled straight down. The purple light shining on her from the window just made it all the more spectacular. And then she started to sing. Her voice was soft, and melodious. When she was done everyone instantly cheered, and clopped their hooves for her. She took a bow, and stepped off the stage.

Sweetie Belle walked up to her grinning friends. "That was amazing Sweetie!" said Applebloom, making her blush.j

"Ah it was nothing. Really." said Sweetie, feeling embarrassed at her friend's compliment.

"No it was awesome!" agreed Scootaloo.

"Aww, thanks guys." Sweetie said, blushing.

"Ahem." said the pink mare. "Now it is my pleasure to introduce Princess Celestia!" called out the mare. The birds started to sing again, and the curtain opened to reveal a regal looking alicorn, known as Princess Celestia.

"Hello my little poneis." she said. There were loud cheers for her, and she opened her wings for silence. Immediately they settled down. "We are here today to celebrate the longest day of the year." she said, once again addressing her subjects, "Let us begin with the rising of the sun."

With that she turned to face back, and her horn glowed with a bright golden hue. The same hue that came across the sky as the sun slowly started to rise. Soon the sun was in the sky, and the glow of Celestia's horn had faded. She turned back to everyone. "Now let the Summer Sun Celebration begin!" she called out to everyone.
