Chapter 1
It was morning at Canterlot High, and Sunset Shimmer was touching the portal site with her hand. Twilight Sparkle was sitting on the school entrance stairs with her Necklace. She had just made the Necklace. The Necklace could steal magic. She would have to spend time in Equestria to steal magic. Suddenly she heard a shout from Sunset Shimmer, “Opened the portal!”
Twilight Sparkle rushed over to Sunset Shimmer, “Can I go along? That way I can steal Equestria’s magic”
Yes. You can. Take your cover”, Sunset Shimmer handed over a black cover for Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight Sparkle put the cover on. That done, Sunset Shimmer put on her cover, which was also black. Sunset Shimmer put her hand on the portal, “ready?”
“Yes”
Starlight Glimmer was in the Crystal Empire with her friends and Spike. Was Spike and all her friends already asleep except Starlight Glimmer, why I feel the princesses are hiding something from me? Maybe it’s my imagination…
Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle were now in a closed room, with their black cloaks, “want me to wait for you here?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“Try to steal magic from passing guards. But try not to be seen by them”, whispered Sunset Shimmer.
Twilight Sparkle agreed, “Yes. I’ll do it”
Sunset Shimmer slowly opened the door, “Look, a guard. Can you and steal his magic?”
Twilight Sparkle opened her Necklace and the guard’s magic went to the device. The guard felt weak and passed out, “Okay, you can go. I’ll wait for you here”, whispered Twilight Sparkle.
Sunset Shimmer nodded and crept into the bedroom, where she believed the new holder of the element of Magic was. She opened the bedroom door and saw Starlight Glimmer sleeping. She went slowly there. The crown with the element was on a side table near the lamp. She took the crown with her magic. But, the lamp was almost falling from the floor, she took the lamp with its magic. Sunset Shimmer looked at Spike, then at Starlight Glimmer. She put the real crown in the backpack behind her cape and put a replica of the crown. She then snuck out of the room until she tripped over Spike’s tail, “what? What’s it?” asked Spike confused.
Starlight Glimmer woke up, she was a little sleepy and her horsehair was a little messy, she looked the way Sunset Shimmer was and saw her crown, “my crown! She stole my crown!”
Sunset Shimmer rushed out of the room, “stop, thief!” ordered Starlight Glimmer.
Starlight Glimmer’s friends looked confused at Starlight Glimmer, who was running, “she stole my crown!”
Starlight Glimmer teleported, “Stop!”
Sunset Shimmer used her magic to teleport, her cloak stayed in Starlight Glimmer’s face. Sunset Shimmer continued to run to where Twilight Sparkle was. She glanced back and saw Starlight Glimmer and Starlight Glimmer’s friends running after her. Starlight Glimmer jumped on Sunset Shimmer. They rolled as they came into the room with the crystal mirror. The crown jumped in several places before going to the mirror. Everypony, but Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle looked worried. Starlight Glimmer looked at Sunset Shimmer, “What did you do with my crown?”
“Sorry it was that way”, said Sunset Shimmer before teleporting close to the mirror and past him.
All exclaimed surprises. But they were more surprised when they saw Twilight Sparkle run into the mirror, “Twilight?!” exclaimed Starlight Glimmer’s friends. Starlight Glimmer was confused.
“Who was that yellow unicorn?” asked Fluttershy.
“Sunset Shimmer”, replied Celestia. Luna and Candace were with her.
“Princess, I swear I saw Twilight Sparkle”, said Applejack.
Twilight…
“Is she still here?” asked Celestia hopefully.
“No. She went to the mirror along with Sunset Shimmer”, replied Rarity.
“Princess, who are these two?” asked Starlight Glimmer, obviously confused.
“Sunset Shimmer was my first student that I had. She was one of the most promotional students. Sunset wanted to be a princess. But I said she couldn’t, because of her not being ready. She got angry and passed it in the crystal mirror ”, replied Celestia.
“And Twilight Sparkle?” asked Starlight Glimmer.
Celestia was silent. She didn’t know how to explain, “Well, it’s a long story. Are you sure you want to hear?”
“Yes. If it’s okay”, replied Starlight Glimmer.
“OK. Twilight Sparkle was one of the most loyal students I ever had. She was my student since filly. She did her best not to disappoint me. When her brother Shining Armor got married, Twilight found Candace’s behavior strange. She tried to warn us. But we didn’t even hear. At the rehearsal, she accused Candace of being evil. We should have explained to her, but instead we set her aside. Twilight Sparkle went to my sister Luna and explained what happened. After that, she tried to find the real Candace. When she found it, Twilight came back with the real Candace and the other Candace turned out to be Queen Chrysalis. Her friends tried to pick up the elements of Harmony, but failed. When Chrysalis was distracted, Twilight released Candace. And Candace went to Shining Armor and broke the spell. Candace and Shining Armor managed to beat Queen Chrysalis. But after that, Twilight Sparkle didn’t want to know about us anymore. We feel very bad for what we did. We asked her forgiveness, but she denied us all. When we discovered that Twilight Sparkle went to the crystal mirror, we knew it was our fault”, explained Celestia.
“Wow. How much information”, said Starlight Glimmer.
Celestia began to walk, “now, you must go into this other world and reclaim your crown with your element”
“Starlight, remember. The portal only opens in 30 moons, when the moon reaches the highest point, the portal closes”, said Luna.
Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle returned to Canterlot High, “I don’t know where the crown went”, said Sunset Shimmer.
Twilight Sparkle looked around and the crown was nowhere, “let’s ask someone”
“But who?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
“How about Principal Celestia?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
Sunset Shimmer smiled, “good idea”
Starlight Glimmer was now at Canterlot High, along with Spike. She was trying to stand up, “what happened to my body?!”
“Looks like you. But it’s not you”, said Spike.
Starlight Glimmer tried to stand up. And she managed, “Well, we’d better get into that castle”, said Starlight Glimmer, looking at the school from a distance.
Starlight Glimmer started walking like a mare. Well, she was. But that wasn’t the way a human should walk. Spike nudged Starlight Glimmer with his paw. She looked and saw a teenager with his dog. He looked at Starlight Glimmer in confusion. Starlight Glimmer stood on two legs quickly while smiling nervously.
“Wait. You mean Fluttershy handed over the crown to Vice-Principal Luna who handed you the crown?” said Sunset Shimmer.
“Yes. Sunset, ”replied Celestia. “The crown is for the Fall Ball”
“Is it like the Great Galloping Gala?!” asked Twilight Sparkle excitedly.
Celestia was confused, “Great Galloping Gala?”
“Yes. It’s a party from my old school”, replied Twilight Sparkle, a little nervous.
“Would you like to participate? Sunset Shimmer is participating”, said Celestia.
Twilight Sparkle got nervous. She looked at Sunset Shimmer with a “help me” look.
“Sunset, what do I do? Do I participate?” whisper Twilight Sparkle.
Sunset Shimmer thought, before answer, “I don’t know. If you want you can. But remember the plan. I get the crown and you with your necklace steals the magic you have here at Canterlot High”
“OK. I think I will”, whispered Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight Sparkle looked at Principal Celestia, “Principal, I would like to participate”
“Great. Go to the event planner at the gym”, said Celestia.
Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer left the room, “thank you. We’ll do it now”, said Sunset Shimmer.
Starlight Glimmer knocked on the principal’s door, “come in”
Starlight Glimmer saw Celestia and approached. She didn’t know how to start explaining, “Hi. My name is Starlight Glimmer. And I hear Fluttershy has handed a crown to Vice- Principal Luna who handed it to you”
“Yes. I handed it to the event planner. Would you be interested in attending the Autumn Ball?” said Celestia.
“Fall Ball?”
“It’s a party where students dance all night. And at the end of the night, she is named the Princess of the Fall Prom”
Starlight Glimmer thought. If she had to retrieve her crown. She would have to participate. But it couldn’t be that hard, right? “I think I’m interested in participating, yes”
“Talk to the event planner. She’s in the gym”,said Celestia.
