Pink Rescue Team

Pinkie becomes an Eevee in the world of a game she likes, and forms a team with a Cyndaquil with the name of her friend Rainbow Dash. Will she discover why she's here?
Follows the plot of Red Rescue Team somewhat. Spoilers for said game.

Pink Rescue Team

“I’m so excited to get a new game! EEEEEEEE!” she exclaimed, hopping through town.
“We’re only giving you enough bits for one game Pinks.” Rainbow Dash said. “Also, you’ve been squealing the whole way to the game store.”
“I know!” Pinkie exclaimed, as they finally approached the store.

“Welcome to the Ponyville Game store!” the shop clerk exclaimed. Her cutie mark was game cartridges for the current “in” console, the Gamecolt Advanced. Which was a better version of the previous “in” console, the Gamecolt, which was “in” a few years ago. Without the Advanced.
“What games do you have for the Gamecolt Advanced? That are popular? and preferably cheap?” Pinkie asked. The store was small but still had many ponies inside, mostly fillies. The Cutie Mark Crusaders were among them.
“Yep! Here, I’ll bring you to the Gamecolt Advanced section!” the shoppony exclaimed. “I’m D-pad. You know Button Mash? I’m his mom.”
“Cool!” Pinkie exclaimed, as the shopmare took her to the Gamecolt Advanced section.
“Here it is! Our most popular games are these ones. You’ve heard of Pokemon I’m guessing?” D-pad asked.
“Yep! Ooh, the Advanced one has Pokemon too?” Pinkie Pie asked. “What ones?!”

“A new series, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon - you could get the one for the DS... Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald... remakes of the original two games... a Pinball game...” D-pad trailed off.
“Mystery Dungeon? I think I’ve heard Dash talking about that... what’s the plot?” Pinkie asked, grabbing the games off the shelf. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team... Ruby... Sapphire... Emerald... LeafGreen... FireRed... Pinball Ruby and Sapphire...
“You become a Pokemon and have amnesia and don’t remember much besides formerly being a pony and your name!” D-pad exclaimed. “Interest you?”
“Yep!” Pinkie exclaimed, tossing the games back on the shelf with her mane, carrying Red Rescue Team to the counter.
“That’ll be 5 ten bits and 9 one bits!” D-pad exclaimed. Pinkie put the bits on the counter. She got ringed up before grabbing the game.
“Thanks!” Pinkie exclaimed, exiting.

“Ooh, a quiz! Let’s see what the questions are~ And who I am~” Pinkie exclaimed.
She got to the last question. “Why didn’t they just do a Professor Oak? Are you a boy? Or are you a girl?” she giggled. She’d heard her friends talking about that. The CMC and Rainbow Dash specifically.
“Naïve nature? Yeeeeeep, that’s me.” Pinkie said. “Ooooh, Eevee! I love Eevee, especially the Eeveelutions! I hope I can evolve into Vaporeon... or Espeon... or Flareon... What time is it? I’m starting to feel a bit sleepy!” she looked at the clock. “Only 6:00 PM? I can stay up a bit longer! Squee!”
She played the game for a while - meeting her partner Pokemon – a Cyndaquil who she named Dashie – going through the first dungeon to help Butterfree get Caterpie back... lots of stuff! - Before she stopped playing for the day.

“Hello? Hello?” a voice called.
Pinkie’s eyes blinked open. Huh? I was in my bedroom just a few seconds ago! What the hay?!
“Are you dead or something?” the voice asked. Pinkie Pie smelled fire, jumping awake.
“WHAT THE HAY ARE YOU TRYING TO DO!? ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME?!” Pinkie Pie yelled.
“I was just trynna wake you up. Sheesh... Sorry. I’m... well my name is Dashie, but please call me Rainbow Dash. It’s less girly and cute and stuff.” Rainbow Dash said.
Rainbow Dash? Wait a second... she’s a Cyndaquil... I’m a... she looked down at herself, an Eevee... I’M IN THE GAME! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
“Are you okay Eevee?” Rainbow Dash asked.
“My name’s Pinkie Pie! Anyways... where are we?” Pinkie Pie asked.
“Tiny Woods. Part of the Everfree Forest.” Rainbow Dash said.

“Well are we just gonna stay here where Pokemon can get us? Or will we le –” Pinkie Pie was cut off.
“HEEEEEEELP!” a voice called as a Butterfree flew over.
“What’s wrong Butterfree?!” Rainbow Dash asked. “Where’s Caterpie?”
“He’s lost in the Mystery Dungeon nearby!” Butterfree exclaimed. She looked at the two Pokemon. “Can you two please go into the dungeon and find my Caterpie? There’s been too many earthquakes and other disasters recently for him to go in alone! He should’ve gone in with his “Exploration Team”. Muchlax and Riolu, that is.”
“We’ll get him back for you Butterfree! C’mon Dashie!” Pinkie Pie exclaimed, scrambling up to her paws and running into the deeper parts of the forest. “Is this the right way?”
“I think so... not sure. I don’t have a Rescue Team.” Rainbow Dash said.
“Maybe we could form a Rescue Team? Whatever that is...” Pinkie said.

“So this is a Mystery Dungeon? Cool!” Pinkie exclaimed. “What’s in them?”
“The layout changes everytime you go inside. if you faint in a dungeon, you appear right outside and lose all the stuff you collect!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed. “C’mon Pinkie!”
Pinkie Pie nodded, as she followed Rainbow Dash.
“Do you have any idea where the buck you’re going?” Pinkie asked.
“...... No....” Rainbow Dash said.
“Let me lead! My Pinkie Sense can help us get out!” Pinkie exclaimed. Rainbow Dash nodded, going behind Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie hopped through the dungeon, Rainbow Dash following.

“Huh? What are other Pokemon doing in here?” Pinkie asked. Why’d you ask that? You know the answer!
“They’re rogue Pokemon. They attack Pokemon who come inside. Say they’re – quote-on-quote – “invading their territory”. Sometimes they’ll join your group if they think you’re powerful enough!” Rainbow Dash explained.

“Well then... PINKIE PIE AND RAINBOW DASH AWAY!!!” Pinkie exclaimed, ramming into the Sunkern.
“Tackle!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed, tackling the Sunkern.
“Absorb!” Sunkern absorbed HP from Pinkie.
“And that’s its only move, isn’t it?” Pinkie murmured.
“Yep.” Rainbow Dash said. “We’ll just have to Tackle it until it faints.”
“Well I have an idea!” Pinkie Pie exclaimed. “Helping Hand!”
Pinkie Pie grabbed Rainbow’s paw.
“Alright! Thanks Pinkie!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed, tackling into Sunkern and fainting it. “Aw yeeeeeah! I leveled up!”
“Good job Dashie! C’mon!”

Fighting through bunches of Pidgey and Sunkern, they finally got to the third floor.
“He must be here. We didn’t find him anywhere else. Just a bunch of Pidgey and Sunkern.” Rainbow Dash said.
“Well at least we got... three Poké...” Pinkie said.

“Tackle!” Pinkie exclaimed, almost collapsing as the Pidgey fainted. “Mmm... I’m tired... I want cupcakes...”
“You’ll survive.” Rainbow Dash said. She gasped. “Do you hear crying?”
Pinkie gasped as she and Rainbow Dash said in unison, “CATERPIE!”
They eventually found the caterpillar Pokemon.
“Caterpie! Are you okay?” Pinkie asked.
“Huh? A – Are you rogue Pokemon too?!” Caterpie whimpered.
“We’re here to save you! Your mom is worried about you!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed.
“My friends dared me too, and then I fell deeper down into the forest cause of the eathquakes.” Caterpie said. “Thank you for coming to help me, er...”
“Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie!” the two of them exclaimed.
“Cool! I want to be just like the two of you someday!” Caterpie exclaimed.
Pinkie smiled, as she said, “Caterpie, you can sit on me until we get out.”
“There’s an exit right there.” Rainbow Dash said.
“Oh...” Pinkie and Caterpie said, awkwardly chuckling.

Once they exited, Caterpie ran over to Butterfree. “Mommy! I’m sorry! My friends dared me to come into the forest and then I fell deeper in cause of the earthquakes!”
“Oh, thank the two of you so much! Here, take these.” Butterfree gave them some berries.
“An Oran Berry, Pecha, and Rawst!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed. “Thanks Butterfree! C’mon Pinkie!”

They ran to the town with Butterfree and Caterpie following.
“This’ where me and Caterpie live. Come visit whenever!” Butterfree exclaimed, flying in.
“I don’t have anywhere to stay...” Pinkie murmured.
“You can stay with me! We can form a Rescue Team! C’mon!” Rainbow Dash dragged Pinkie along. She took her to a house, a plain one. “Hm... well I’ve been meaning to sign up for a Team, but I never had a partner. You can name the Team!”
“How about... hm... Pastel Rainbow? No... Pinkedash?” Pinkie pondered.
“I like Pinkiedash. That name it is!” Rainbow Dash dragged Pinkie inside. “Well goodnight Pinkie! I’ll sleep over here. You can have the bigger bed.”
“Can’t we share?” Pinkie said. “There’s plenty of room!”
“Okay.” Rainbow Dash said, walking to Pinkie’s bed and sleeping as well.
