Let's Start A Riot

A single candle flickered in the dark, its light dimly illuminating a vast study. Tall shelves of scrolls and books crowded around the desk the candle sat upon. A figure sat at the desk, his crystalline white hands the only thing visible in the dark confines of his black and gold robe. The figure sat patiently, his hands steepled on the desk as he waited for the one he called to arrive. A gout of black and red flames announced his guest's presence as as he emerged from the fire. The being was a tall man dressed in a fine black suit that looked to be in his early twenties. His build was sleek and graceful like a cat, a fitting comparison when one saw his slitted emerald eyes. His hair was a mess of long brown curls that covered his neckline and framed his suntanned face perfectly beneath his black top-hat.

"You wanted to see me Jalis?" the figure said, a smirk decorating his face as he took a seat opposite the hooded figure.

The figure, Jalis, chuckled as he took in the young man's presence.

"Indeed. I have a new mission for you Nix."

Nix's smile grew at that.

"Finally! Rakdos be damned I've been so BORED lately! Where are you sending me? Please tell me its a plane ruled by a church again! Those are always so fun to twist!"

Jalis chuckled at that as he slid a paper across the table towards the young man.

"Something to that effect. The populous is bound by a strict code of order that needs to be broken. I fear what kind of darkness could be born from such a path."

Nix picked up the paper and read what was presented to him. His smile slowly melted away as his eyes traveled across the paper.

"This is disgusting," he hissed, flames starting to form around the paper's edges. "Don't they know what this kind of thing can lead to?"

Jalis sighed, then said, "I fear that they do, but are too blind to accept it. That is why I am sending you. Who better then The Prince of Anarchy to set the plane into proper balance?"

"Flattery will only get you so far boss," Nix smirked, then frowned as he added, "But seriously? No orgies? What kind of dull lives do these Equinoids live?"

"Quite," Jalis sighed. "Such ridged order cannot be allowed to exist."

"Say no more," Nix sneered. "I'll fix this plane."

"I know you will. Do you need anything?"

Nix laughed then said, "Not particularly. A plane this screwed-up just needs a good riot to shake things up a bit. Once I figure out who the most moral figures are, the rest will come falling into place."

"This should help," Jalis said, sliding another sheet of paper across the desk. "Try not to burn this one."

"Promises," he chuckled. "I make none of them."

He took the paper and gave it a look as he rose to his feet.

"Nine Equinoids. Three of which are something called an Alicorn? Interesting."

"Will you need anything else?"

"Nah," Nix smirked, walking towards the room's sole exit. "This should be plenty."

As he stepped out into the dimly lit stone hallways beyond Jalis's office, his smile continued to grow.

A plane soaked in this much order is going to take quite a while to balance out. So many depravities and bound indulgences! Oh, just the thought of what could be hidden below the surface of such a plane makes me shiver.

His smile turned into a grimace when his eyes wandered onto the image of a white Alicorn at the top of the paper.

This one will be something to watch out for. A Planeswalker with the kind of power she holds will be a tough force to counter without a plan. Oh well. I'll think of something when I get there.

When his eyes drifted over the other women on the page, his smile returned.

What kind of darkness sits in their hearts, I wonder? Oh, the possibilities are limitless! It will be so fun to teach them how to let out their demons! Will they be able to own them? Oh so many lessons to teach!

"Though I must say, these people have strange naming conventions. Pinkie Pie? Fluttershy? Starlight Glimmer? These are spell names! Who would name their kids such random things?"

He shrugged to his own question and continued walking as he stared at the paper in his hand.

"Names aside, these people are pretty easy on the eyes. I wonder why their all single? Probably a product of how this Equis plane is structured. It is pretty hard to form a thrilling bond with someone when order is breathing down your neck."

His eyes widened and smile grew as he read what was written next to one of the Equinoid's pictures.

A fellow heathen! My, my, my! Maybe this won't be so difficult after all! If I dull that one's inhibitions a bit, all kinds of fun could be had.

Barking laughter echoed through the halls as the Prince of Anarchy pulled open the door to his room and stepped inside. Countless treasures hung from the ceiling by thick black chains as their shadows decorated the walls. A chandelier hung above the center of the room covered with red and black flames that failed to burn it away. Various kinds of daggers and ritualistic blades laid scattered across the floor in random piles. Expensive paintings showing various acts of debauchery covered the walls along-side hand-carved masks of everything that went bump in the night. Gargoyles made of molten lava guarded the four corners of the room with savage dedication only a loyal demon was capable of. A massive kingsized bed with a polished black oak frame and violet silk sheets stood waiting for him against the wall opposite the door.

Nix smiled as he made the trek to his bed and threw himself into it. A blissful sigh slipped past his lips as he stretched out like a cat across the soft confines of his bed.

So much to plan for and so much to do. God I love my work.
