Chapters Fluttershy awoke to a rabbit jumping up and down on her bed, to which he had a very frustrated look on his face. When Fluttershy finally looked at him he pointed to his mouth indicating he was hungry.
"Oh are you hungry?" Fluttershy asked as she was getting out of bed. Angel hopped off the bed and over to the door nodding his head. "I'll be down in a sec to make you something." Fluttershy said with a smile as she made her bed.
Fluttershy walked down the stairs with Angel in front of her. As she went into the kitchen Angel hopped on the counter and watched Fluttershy as she prepared his breakfast. Fluttershy made his normal breakfast that consisted of only lettuce. As she set it down in front of him she prepared for it to be thrown at her face, but to her surprise, he was eating it! No more than a few seconds later someone knocked on Fluttershy's door.
Who could that be? Fluttershy thought. She went over to her door and opened it up barely enough to see who it was. When she realized who was at the door, she opened it more and greeted the pony.
"Oh, hi Twilight. What are you doing over here so early?" Fluttershy asked.
"I just thought I'd come visit since I haven't been over in a while. I was also wondering if you'd want to come have a sleepover at my house tonight. Could you make it?" Twilight asked smiling at Fluttershy.
Fluttershy smiled "Oh I would love to! If... That's alright with you of course." Fluttershy said as she hid behind her pink mane, embarrassed.
Twilight was ecstatic. She'd always wanted Fluttershy to come sleepover. Especially after what happened. "Okay then! Come over tonight then." She said as she walked back in the direction of her tree house.
Fluttershy closed the door as Twilight walked away, and turned around to see Angel done with his breakfast. Throughout the rest of the day Fluttershy tended to her animals until it was time to go to Twilight’s house.
Fluttershy stood outside the tree house and knocked. After a few seconds Spike opened the door. "Hi Fluttershy!" Spike said as he gestured for her to come in.
"Fluttershy you made it!" Twilight excitedly said as she walked down the stairs. "Spike, will you please make us some tea?"
"Sure thing, Twilight!" Spike said running into the kitchen.
"It's been a while since I've seen you. What have you been up to?" Twilight asked with a smile, looking Fluttershy in the eyes.
Fluttershy looked up at Twilight "Oh, just taking care of the animals like always. I never get out much considering nopony really visits me." She looked down with an upset look. Twilight went over and gave her a comforting hug.
"Well you're always welcome over here if you feel lonely or anything, but why doesn't anypony visit you? Or, why don't you go visit somepony?"
"Everypony is usually busy; AJ with her farm, Dashie with her tricks, Pinkie with her baking, and Rarity with her dress making. I wouldn't want to disturb them while they're in the middle of something." Fluttershy said looking back down. She wasn't always sad, but lately she's been really upset. Nopony really talked to her or visited her anymore, and she could feel the cold embrace of loneliness all around her.
Spike came back into the main room carrying a tray with 2 tea cups and a pot of two for the two mares. He sat down the tray in front of them and left without a word.
Why am I so nervous? Twilight thought. It's just Fluttershy, and she's just a friend... But why can't I stop looking into her eyes?
"Are you okay Twilight? You look nervous." Fluttershy asked with a concerned look on her face.
Twilight’s heart pounded. Should I do it? What if she hates me afterwards... What if she never wants to see me again? Twilight came up with many what if's in her head. After what seemed like an eternity Twilight finally got her courage up. She took Fluttershy's chin with her hoof and lifted her head up. Fluttershy looked confused but before she could say anything Twilight leaned forward and pressed her muzzle against hers.
Fluttershy's eyes widened and she pushed Twilight off. She stood there for a minute, speechless. She ran out of the library and back to her cottage, leaving Twilight standing alone in her home.
The marshmallow white mare ran back to her boutique with tears streaming down her face. Rarity had planned to go to Fluttershy's cottage and tell her that she was madly in love with her. Although, when she heard two voices inside, she peeked through the window only to see that Fluttershy was nuzzling Twilight's neck.
When Rarity reached her Boutique, she threw the door open, crying while she walked to her room. "What's wrong sis?" Sweetie Belle asked while Rarity was walking up the stairs. She did not say a word to Sweetie Belle and closed the door to her room. Sweetie Belle has never seen her sister this upset before, and decided to leave her sister to calm down before asking what was wrong again.
Rarity lay on her bed, hugging her pillow and softly crying into it. Her heart has never been this hurt before, but she soon realized that it was her fault for letting her go that far in the first place. I should have told her sooner and she might have been mine, she thought. Maybe... Maybe I could win her over, but that would be so selfish of me to steal her away from Twilight. I might just tell her how I feel so I can get it out of my head.

After an hour to calm herself down, Rarity came out of her room and went downstairs to get ready to leave for Fluttershy's cottage.
"Sis, are you okay?" Sweetie Belle asked curiously "You looked pretty upset earlier." She looked up at Rarity with concerned filling eyes. She cared dearly for her sister and wouldn't leave her alone till she knew what was wrong.
Rarity looked at her sister and tried to put on the happiest face she could muster. "Why of course I'm okay darling. I was just overreacting about something earlier." She had a sheepish smile as she finished her sentence, hoping Sweetie Belle will believe her.
Sweetie Belle had a suspicious look on her face as she looked Rarity straight in the eyes. "I've seen you overreact before and you've never been upset like you were earlier." She said very matter of factly.
Rarity was still trying her hardest to convince Sweetie Belle she was okay. "I was just overreacting Sweetie, nothing too bad." Sweetie Belle narrowed her eyes and Rarity sighed in defeat. "Fine, I will tell you what happened when I get back. I have to run an errand and it might take a little while. Why don't you go over to Applebloom's for a little bit?" Sweetie Belle's face softened, and without another word, walked out the door heading off in the direction towards Sweet Apple Acres.

Fluttershy and Twilight sat on the couch cuddling, and staring into each other’s eyes.
"I've loved you for quite some time," Twilight spoke up, "but I was unsure about what I was feeling until that one day happened." Fluttershy looked at her in confusion. "It was the day you were helping me reorganize my library because Spike was sick and had to stay in bed. Anyways, I couldn't stop looking at you, and every time you looked back at me I got butterflies in my stomach and was forced to look away. I was still unsure about my feelings and ignored them. I knew I loved you when you pulled a book from the shelf and it all the books came crashing down on us. When we got up afterwards, we were nearly about to kiss, that's when I was sure about my feelings for you.
"I wanted to lean in and kiss you so bad, but I was so scared that you wouldn't want to be my friend anymore if you didn't feel the same way. Although I'm glad I got up the courage to kiss you yesterday." Twilight held Fluttershy closer while she finished her story, both their faces turning a deep red.
A sudden knock at the door startled them, causing them to jump. Fluttershy got up with a smile to answer the door while Twilight stayed on the couch, wondering who it could be. Fluttershy opened the door and Rarity was there smiling, but on the inside she was angry and extremely nervous.
"Oh, hello Rarity. What brings you here?" Fluttershy said with a smile.
"Fluttershy darling, can I talk to you in private for a moment?" Fluttershy nodded, walked outside and closed the door behind her.
Twilight, wondering what was going on, walked to a window next to the door, watching the yellow mare converse with the stranger.
"What do you need to talk about Rarity?" Fluttershy was getting worried that something might be terribly wrong.
"I wanted to tell you something, but I'm afraid I might be too late." She could feel tears wanting to form in her eyes as she tried to hold them back with all her might. The thought of not being with Fluttershy hurt her, but this was not the time to cry.
"What do you mean too late? What's wrong Rarity?" Fluttershy's face was full of concern.
"I... I'm in love with you." In a matter of seconds, she kissed Fluttershy. Fluttershy's eyes widened but she did not break the kiss.
Twilight's heart immediately shattered after seeing her dearest friend Rarity, kissing her newly beloved marefriend. She opened the door and Rarity, breaking the kiss at the sudden noise. Twilight walked up to Rarity and swung a hoof across her face then turned to Fluttershy, tears streaming down her cheeks.

Sorry these chapters are so short everyone. I'm quite new to writing and I'm trying my very best. I'll try to make upcoming chapters longer!
Rarity stood there in complete shock. There was a crimson red hoof mark on her left cheek from where Twilight had hit here. It stung like hell but she did not show it on her face. Celestia, what have I DONE!? She thought to herself as she stared into Twilight's tear filled eyes, in which made her eyes start to form tears also. Rarity looked over at Fluttershy who was hiding behind her mane completely embarrassed and scared.
Rarity started to back up slowly. "I... I'm so s-sorry. I don't know w-what came over me." She said trembling with tears flowing from her eyes. Without another word she ran back to her boutique sobbing softly like she had a few hours ago. As she neared the boutique she could see Sweetie Belle out in the distance walking into the shop.
She reached the front door, shaking immensely from shock. Before she could open the door, she collapsed and was crying her eyes out. Her heart hurt immensely from the events that happened only a few moments ago. Why have I done such a thing? I only meant to go there and just TELL Fluttershy how I felt, not show her. Rarity started to cry harder. I probably ruined my friendship with both of them.
From within the boutique Sweetie Belle could hear the crying of somepony outside. Sweetie Belle, being very curious and concerned about who it was, went back to the door and opened it. She looked down at the crying pony to only see that it was her older sister.
"Rarity!" Sweetie Belle gasped. "What's wrong? What happened!?" Her emotions was something that of anger and sadness. She was gonna find out what happened, no matter what. Rarity did not answer but she started to calm down. "Let’s go inside." Sweetie Belle said as she helped her older sister up. They went upstairs and to Rarity's room.
"I'm so sorry you have to see me like this darling." Rarity said calming herself down and wiping the tears away as she lay on her bed.
"It’s okay sis but you have me worried. What's going on?" Sweetie Belle asked while she sat down on the floor in front of her, she looked Rarity straight in the eyes with a concerned, but very serious look on her face. She was gonna get her to tell spill what was wrong.
There was no escaping this. Rarity knew the small unicorn wasn't going to let her leave until she told her what was going on. "It was what happened yesterday..." Rarity began.

Twilight stood staring at Fluttershy eyes full of tears. She was furious, not at Rarity because she had no idea her and Fluttershy were together. No, she was furious at Fluttershy. Why didn't she break the kiss? Why didn't she push her away like she did with me? Is it because she loves Rarity..? Twilight thought up many reasons for why Fluttershy didn't break the kiss.
She was scared, and shocked. Only shocked because of the kiss Rarity had given her. She had not expected it at all. "A-are you m-mad at m-me Twi?" Fluttershy asked still hidden behind her mane.
Twilight couldn't stay mad at her. She was just too cute and her voice is so sweet, but she had to know. "Why didn't you break the kiss with Rarity like you had done with me?" Her voice was monotone. There was no emotion in what she said, but her eyes showed much hurt.
Fluttershy didn't say anything at first. She was thinking about how to break the news. "It's b-because I used to love h-her," She said in a quiet tone. "But I don't anymore! I mean, I love her as a friend but not the way I love you." Fluttershy's eyes were tearing up. She didn't want to lose Twilight. She had been so lonely and now she finally found somepony.
Twilight stood there completely silent and still. The news hurt her, but Fluttershy had told her she only loves her now. Twilight looked away from Fluttershy, and they stood there in complete silence for a few minutes.
Fluttershy finally got the courage to speak up. "P-please don't hate me Twilight. I don't want to be lonely anymore, I'm tired of it and you've been able to change that." Fluttershy was crying, and didn't seem to care. All she wanted was to stay with Twilight and be happy.
Twilight looked back at Fluttershy and stared at her for a few seconds before pulling her in for a hug. "I could never hate you and I would never leave, but um, maybe we should talk to Rarity. I need to apologize for what I did. We'll go see her later to give her time to calm down." She finished as she nuzzled Fluttershy's neck. They both headed inside the cottage and talked about what happened.

"Then that's when you came outside and helped me." Rarity said finishing her story of what happened. She told Sweetie Belle about her love for Fluttershy and such. She didn't feel better, if anything, she felt worse. Her eyes filled with sadness and her heart ached. She hated this feeling, but there was no way she could end it.
"What made you fall in love with Fluttershy in the first place, sis?" Sweetie Belle asked breaking the silence between them.
Rarity thought for a moment before remembering exactly what happened. "I believe it was the first day we met."
Rarity was walking around Ponyville just enjoying the nice weather and fresh air. She was walking through the market where all the ponies had their shops set up, until one certain yellow pegasus caught her attention. She had a long pink mane and had three butterflies as her cutie mark. The pegasus was hidden behind her mane and looked terrified. Rarity walked over and introduced herself.
"Hello dear, my name is Rarity, what's yours?" She asked. The yellow mare sank to the ground and said her name which was barely audible. Rarity frowned, "I don't mean to scare you darling. I'm just trying to be friendly and help." She smiled when she finished.
"M-my name i-is Fluttershy." She said as she became more open and stopped hiding behind her mane. Rarity's heart skipped a little at the sight of her face. The two new mares started walking and told each other about themselves. Rarity's heart fluttered every time she made eye contact with the yellow pegasus. She was so beautiful and graceful. From then on the two hung out more and more, and each time they were together, Rarity's feelings for her grew stronger and stronger.
After finishing her story, Rarity told Sweetie Belle to go away for a little bit. As Sweetie left the room Rarity could feel the depression grow inside of her. She was in pain and she didn't know how to deal with it. Then she got an idea, one that could make all the pain go away.
Fluttershy and Twilight where quietly sitting on the couch holding each other in their forelegs just enjoying with being one another. Twilight kept replaying what had happened earlier over and over again in her head. She felt extremely guilty. Rarity didn't know about her and Fluttershy, but she couldn't control herself from the anger that had recited in her at the time. Twilight pulled herself away from Fluttershy.
"Do you think we should go talk to Rarity now?" Twilight asked, looking into Fluttershy's eyes.
"I think we gave her enough time to calm down. Do you think she'll forgive you?" Fluttershy replied quietly.
"I hope so. I don't want to lose one of my best friends. They are all very important to me and have always been there for me," Twilight frowned, thinking of what would happen if Rarity didn't forgive her.
"Rarity is a nice pony and I'm sure she'll forgive you Twilight,” Fluttershy reassured.
Twilight smiled, "Okay then. Let's go." Twilight and Fluttershy got up off the couch and walked toward the door. Fluttershy opened the door for Twilight and they headed out for Rarity's boutique.
On the way there Twilight got an idea. "Hey Fluttershy, I think we should stop by Sugarcube Corner and get an 'I'm sorry' cake for Rarity.
"That sounds like a great idea," Fluttershy replied while walking closely to Twilight. They headed in the direction of Sugarcube Corner.
After a few minutes of walking they finally reached their destination. Twilight opened the door with her magic and the couple entered. The smell of sweets hit their noses as they got closer to the counter.
"Hey you two!" Pinkie Pie yelled while bouncing down the stairs. "What are you guys doing here?"
Twilight and Fluttershy turned to look at Pinkie Pie who was still bouncing up and down. "We're here to get an 'I'm Sorry' cake for Rarity. Her and I got into a little fight and it was my fault," Twilight explained to the bouncing pink pony.
Pinkie Pie stopped bouncing and gasped. "We should throw her a party! And it will be called the 'I'm sorry for getting in a fight with you' party!" Twilight thought it over for a second before nodding her head in agreement. "Yay! Time to go get the party cannon!" Pinkie Pie said as she ran up the stairs.
Twilight looked over at Fluttershy. "Well, that was easy. Would you mind going to invite Rainbow and AJ?" Twilight asked Fluttershy, who just nodded and headed out the door.
The yellow pegasus first walked to Sweet Apple Acres to invite Applejack. After explaining everything, Applejack happily accepted the invitation. Fluttershy then went Rainbow Dash’s house and quickly explained everything to her that had happened thus far. Of course Rainbow accepted the invitation, but told her that she might be a little late.
Fluttershy trotted back to Sugarcube Corner to tell Twilight that Rainbow and Applejack would be coming.
Twilight looked at Fluttershy, "Why is Rainbow going to be a little late?" She asked.
"She said she wanted to finish practicing her new trick."
Twilight nodded and went back to putting streamers around room as Pinkie Pie used her party cannon to put everything else.

After a couple hours everything was ready and Applejack had already come, all that was left was to go get Rarity. Twilight decided to be the one to go get her. Fluttershy looked at Twilight with a concerned expression. "What if she doesn't want to come?"
Twilight turned around and smiled. "I'll make sure that she will come. How can she resist one of Pinkie Pie’s party?" With that being said, she turned back around and headed out the door.
It was dark and quite outside as Twilight walked to the boutique. Twilight had a bad feeling about the situation. Something didn't feel right, but she disregarded the feeling and kept walking. After a few minutes she finally reached the front door of the Boutique and knocked on the door. Not too long after, Sweetie Belle answered.
"Hi Twilight! What are you doing here?" Sweetie Belle asked.
Twilight smiled down at the filly. "I'm here to get Rarity to come to a party at Sugarcube Corner. Is she here?" She looked around.
"Yeah but she's been in her room all day. I've tried talking to her but she won't say anything back. It's been awfully quiet in there for a while."
"I'll get her to come out, don't worry," Twilight said with a smile as she walked in and headed upstairs to Rarity's room. Twilight knocked and waited.
A few minutes past and nopony answered the door, nor was there a sound coming from inside of the room. Twilight decided to force herself in and used her magic to force the door open. What she saw was heartbreaking and horrifying. Rarity was hanging from the ceiling by a rope around her neck.
Twilights eyes filled with tears and she just stared at Rarity's body. It was lifeless. No sign of life to be seen from the white unicorn’s body. Although something caught Twilights eye below Rarity’s body. It was a folded piece of paper. Twilight walked over, picked it up and opened it.
Whoever is reading this, I am terribly sorry that you had to see me like this. I couldn't take the pain anymore. I ruined my friendship with Twilight and Fluttershy, and possibly everyone else if they found out what had happened. I couldn't live with myself anymore. I couldn't bring myself to face Twilight. I'm so sorry. Especially to you Sweetie Belle, for leaving you alone. Please forgive me. Goodbye everypony. It was fun having you all there for me.
Twilight had tears streaming down her cheeks now. She couldn't help but feel like this was all her fault. She then ran out of the boutique to go to Sugarcube corner and tell everypony what had happened.

Fluttershy could not sleep that night; she had too much on her mind. She tossed and turned in her bed thinking.

Twilight could only sit there, completely still, with no emotion on her face, and her heart hurting with each beat it emitted. After what seemed like hours she finally got up and walked upstairs to her room, eyes filled with tears. She fell onto her bed and cried.
"Why did I do that? She probably never wants to see me again!" She said while crying. "I'll go talk to her tomorrow and apologize, but I must sleep first." She slowly stopped crying and when she was done, she was fast asleep.

The next morning came and Fluttershy arose from her deep sleep. She got up out of bed and started her morning chores to care for the animals. While doing such things she thought about last night, and her feeling for Twilight. She is kind of cute... And I didn't mind the kiss so much... Maybe I'll give her a chance. Fluttershy thought, while making Angels breakfast. She smiled I will! I will give Twilight a chance!
A sudden knock came from the front door. Fluttershy hummed a tune in her head while going to answer. She opened the door and a purple unicorn stood, there looking at the ground.
Twilight looked up at the yellow pegasus. "Oh h-hey Fluttershy. Do you have a moment? I would like to talk to you about last night." She looked back down and dragged her hoof on at on the ground.
Fluttershy smiled. This was her chance to tell Twilight how she felt. "Sure Twilight, come on in." She opened the door more and gestured for her to come in.
Fluttershy and Twilight sat down on the couch. "I'm so sorry for what I did Fluttershy. I just thought maybe you would have felt the same way and tha-" Twilights rambling was cut short with Fluttershy’s muzzle pressed against her own. Twilight was in shock when it happened and didn't return the kiss immediately, but after a few seconds she did. Soon after, Fluttershy pulled away with her face darkening very quickly as she hid behind her mane.
"I thought... But at the library..." Twilight couldn't find the right words to ask the yellow mare why she had done that.
"I had to do some thinking." Fluttershy started to explain. "I was so shocked when you kissed me so suddenly. I just didn't know what to do, but I have decided that I want to be with you." She finished while nuzzling Twilights neck.
From the window was watching a very jealous mare. With much anger built up inside she ran away as fast as she could away from the cottage.
