I'll Be With You From Dusk Til Dawn
"Alright, that's it! Surrender now or else!" Sunset said while pointing a gun towards a pale boy. He was around her age and had eyes as red as blood.
"Or else what?" he asked amused.
"This isn't regular gun, it fires stakes. I can't have bunch of vampires running around my city."
"Sunset, Sunset, Sunset... always saving the world. But when will you learn I never go somewhere alone." as he said that a bunch of other vampires emerged from shadows.
"Oh great!" Sunset said.
"Now, gives us the gun and we might let you go unharmed."
Sunset sighed. "Fine!" she went to give the gun. "But I also have a few tricks up my sleeve!" she said as she threw a smoke boom and dissappeared in the night.
Vampires cough and tried to find her but when smoke cleared up, Sunset was long gone.
"You are going to pay for this Sunset Shimmer!"
Sunset was woken up by her alarm. She was exhausted. Hunting down vampires half of the night isn't really an easy job. Going to school after and pretending nothing happened is harder.
She got up and got ready for school.
"Hey Sunset!" Twilight greeted her. "Yikes! You look like you didn't get any sleep last night."
"Thanks."
"No, no! I didn't mean it like that! You still look beautiful as always! Just tried. Not that it matters, it doesn't but---"
"Don't worry, I get what you meant. And for the record I didn't get much sleep today."
"Oh, is it because that big chemistry test today?"
"THAT IS TODAY?"
"Yes? Oh no, don't tell me you forgot, again!"
"I... kinda did."
"Sunset!"
"I know! I am trying! But sometimes it is really hard to remember when things are."
"Alright, from now on I am reminding you about each exam."
"Thanks, Twi. It means a lot!"
"No problem! That's what best friends are here for! Besides we can meet up later so I can help you study chemistry."
"Please! I would appreciate it!"
They continued to walk down the hall. Sunset's grades weren't the best to say the least. She is smart and could have all As but spending most of her free time hunting monsters doesn't leave her much time for school. She didn't regret it though. What she does is more important anyway.
Later they met at Sunset's so Twilight can help her study.
Sunset always keeps all her weapons and stuff in basement so she doesn't worry about anyone finding anything.
"Alright, these are all the formulas you need to learn by heart" Twilight daod excited. Sunset groaned. "Hey, they are very important!"
"I know but I am just so tired."
"Why did you stay awake for so long?"
"I... uhm... couldn't fall asleep. Had lot on my mind."
"Is there something wrong? Do you need a talk?" Twilight was worried.
"No, no. Don't worry. I am fine."
"Are you sure? You know I am always here for you no matter what!"
"Yes, I know and I really appreciate it but this is something I need to deal on my own."
"If you say so. But if you change your mind I will be here."
"Thank you!" Sunset hugged her.
Sunset wanted to tell her friends so bad, especially Twilight, who she was closest to, but she didn't want to put them in danger so she kept quiet.
Few hours of studying later.
"Okay, I think we went through it all!" Twilight said.
"Thank you so much!"
"No problem, really. It was fun! And I love spending time with you."
"Aw, but really it means a lot."
"I have to go now but we will still come on Saturday?"
"Yep, I know how important your presentation is to you, I wouldn't miss it for the world."
Twilight smiled. "Great! See you then! And maybe later we could go grab a coffee or something?"
"Sure!"
"Perfect! See ya! And don't forget to get some rest now!"
"Don't worry, I'll go to sleep right away. See ya!"
As soon as Twilight left, Sunset got a warning text on her phone. Since she has been tracking mosters for so long, she became very good at it.
She quickly took her weapons and a small cage and went outside.
She came to an abandoned street where an unusual and small fluffy creature was eating food.
"Aww! You don't seem so dangerous."
And as the creature noticed her it jumped and knocked her on the floor. "Aaah!!"
However, after half an hour she captured it and went to portal to Equestria. There she saw Rainbow Dash so she hid the cage with the creature behind her.
"Yo Sunset!"
"Oh hey, Rainbow Dash..."
"I am glad you are here, I've been trying to find you whole week."
"Heh, I was busy."
"That's what I wanted to talk to you about. You are so often busy, I don't know what you do and it doesn't matter but Twilight is having her presentation on Saturday and--"
"Don't worry, I will be there!"
"Like you absolutely came to my big game last week?" Rainbow was bit annoyed.
"I am so sorry, Rainbow. I really couldn't come!"
"That's okay. But please don't miss this, I think it would break Twilight's heart if you don't come."
"Don't worry. I will be there!"
"Alright, see you tomorrow!"
"Yeah, see ya!"
As Rainbow left, Sunset quickly freed the creature and pushed it back into Equestria.
"Phew! That was close!" Sunset was relieved.
Sunset spent next few days trying to catch up on school.
On saturday she quickly got up and got ready. She came early so she doesn't miss it. She cared a lot about Twilight and knew this was important.
"Sunset! You came early!" Twilight happily hugged her.
"I didn't want to miss it."
"Aw!"
"So how are you feeling?"
"Oh don't ask! I am so nervous something will go wrong."
"I am sure you will do amazingly."
"And we know that too!" Rarity and rest of the girls came.
"Aw thanks guys! I need to go prepare but I am so happy you all came!" Twilight said as she left.
"Best of luck!" Pinkie screamed behind her.
"Sunset you even came early." Rainbow noticed.
"I guess I sometimes even shock myself."
"Shall we go inside?" Applejack asked.
"Yeah. I think it will rain today, it is cloudy all day." Rairy replied and they all went in.
Twilight presentation waa going great. Everything was perfect until Sunset got a message on her phone.
"What do vampires even do in the day?" Sunset was angrily whispering to herself.
"What did you say?" Fluttershy askes.
"Nothing, I just need to go to bathroom."
"Oh, are you alright? Want me to come with you?"
"No, don't worry."
"Just be back quick."
"I will." she said as she left.
Sunset was driving her motorbike the fastest she could. "I have to stop them from killing others. I just hope I make it up to hear the end of Twilight's presentation!"
She came there and a group of vampires from few nights ago were trying to capture someone.
"Hold it right there!" Sunset said again, pointing a gun. "No sun for one day and you already attack."
"You know us, we gotta feed."
"You gotta go back to Everfree Forest where you came from!"
"We would like to see you try get us back."
"As you wish!" Sunset started fighting them but there were too many. One suddenly jumped on her, bit her and started drinking her blood. "Aah!!" Sunset screamed but suddenly the vampire got shot by a gun from a stranger.
"TWILIGHT?!" Sunset turned around and saw Twilight was the one who saved her.
