Cheese Sandwich looked at the picture of his Marefriend Pinkie thoughtfully. He held a box in his hoof. Inside was a pink diamond ring.
I can do this.
He was ready. He told Pinkie to meet him at the edge of the Everfree Forest at sunset. Pinkie was too happy to accept of course.
“Hiya Cheese!”
“Hi Pinkie. Come on. I wanna show you something.”
He took her to the meadow.
“Wow! It looks like a big balloon from here.”
Cheese looked at her. Pinkie was confused.
“Cheese? What’s going on?”
“Ahem. Pinkie when I first came to Ponyville I thought you were the most beautiful pinkest happiest pony I’ve ever seen. I know this isn’t fancy or special but Pinkamena Diane Pie...”
He knelt on one leg and showed her the ring.
*gasps*
“I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?”
“Yes yes! A thousand times yes!”
He slid the engagement ring on her hoof. They passionately kissed as the moon began to rise.
Everything for the wedding within the month went according to plan.
Cheese looked at Pinkie in her wedding dress.
“Sweet Celestia.”
The Organ began to play as Pinkie walked down the aisle.
“Oh my stars! She’s gorgeous!”
“Stunning!”
“Cheese is so lucky!”
Cheese and Pinkie stared into each other’s eyes.
“Do you Pinkie take this stallion to be your husband?”
“I do.”
“And do you Cheese take this mare to be your wife?”
“I do.”
“I now pronounce you husband and wife.”
Their dance was wild.
They had a fun honeymoon.
They moved into a house.
“I love you Pinkie.”
“I love you too Cheesy.”
“I know we’ll be the happiest couple here in Ponyville. I just *speaking while yawning* wish I can stay here with you forever.”
The next week Cheese was in bed.
“*yawns* Good morning Pinkie. Pinkie?”
“*puking* I’ll be right there. *puking*”
“Pinkie! Are you alright?”
“Yes Cheesy I’m fine. No need to worry. *gaging* Hold that thought. *puking*”
“No you’re not fine. I need to take you to the doctor. And I’ll be with you.”
“But...”
“No buts my dear.”
Cheese cautiously took his wife by the hoof and led her out the door.
“Mr. and Mrs. Sandwich I have good news about this.”
“What’s the good news? Is she alright?”
“In nine months you two will have a baby.”
“WHAT?????!”
“Congratulations Mrs. Sandwich you’re pregnant.”
“Oh Pinkie! I’m so happy!”
“Cheese! I... I... *sobs*”
She fled out the door.
Cheese knew where she was.
“Pinkie? Are you alright?”
“I’m fine. *sniffs*”
“Why are you crying? We’re having a baby.”
“Yes and I am happy but... Everypony thinks I’m irresponsible because I do things that are dangerous. I don’t want our baby to have a mother like that. *sobs*”
“Shhh. There there my beautiful wife. Our baby will be just fine. I know you well enough to know that you can face anything.”
“But I can’t do this.”
“Yes you can. We still have eight months to go. You can do this Pinkie. And I’m here with you.”
Cheese gave Pinkie a passionate kiss on the cheek.
“I love you.”
“I love you too.”
Cheese put a hoof on Pinkie’s stomach.
“Little one I can’t wait to feel you kick. When you come out the first thing you’ll see is a loving family.”
Cheese and Pinkie waited.
“*yawns* Pinkie what is it?”
“Cheesy I’m hungry for a lemon cupcake with sprinkles.”
“*yawns* Anything for you.”
Pinkie’s stomach grew bigger and bigger.
“Cheese come here. Put your hoof on my tummy.”
“I can feel it kicking. Pinkie you glow like the sun.”
Cheese kissed Pinkie’s belly. And placed his ear to hear the baby’s heartbeat.
“Wow listen to this. It feels so warm so hopeful so... so... *yawns* I feel *speaking while yawning* very sleepy.”
“Cheesy can’t you stay awake a little bit longer?”
“Sorry Pinkie *speaking while yawning* But I really can’t. I feel very happy being married to you and very soon we’ll have our little... *yawns* *snores*”
“Cheesy. That’s why I love you.”
“*snores* I love you too. A little closer please. *yawns* Goodnight. *snores*”
It was morning.
“*yawns* Morning already? Pinkie?”
“Right here Cheesy!”
“Oh Pinkie you’re beautiful!”
He kissed Pinkie on the cheek and kissed her swollen belly.
Cheese and Pinkie went to the baby shop. To pick out some things for the baby.
“Whoa that mare is huge! She looks like whale!”
“Are you calling me f-fat? *sobs*”
“How dare you insult my wife like that?! She’s even more beautiful since the day I married her! She’s having our baby!”
Pinkie winced she never saw Cheese angry before.
“I’m sorry Pinkie. But I had to stand up for you. You’re my sweet wife who is about to have our little bun in the oven.”
“Thank you Cheesy.”
Cheese listened to the baby’s heartbeat again.
“So peaceful. *yawns* I’m getting sleepy just thinking about it.”
“Oh Cheesy.”
A month passed. Cheese decided to throw Pinkie a surprise foal shower. She came to the room.
“Surprise!”
“All this for me?”
“Yep and the baby.”
“Oh Cheesy.”
After the shower Pinkie and Cheese went to lamas class to help prepare for the birth.
Cheese and Pinkie went to bed.
“*sighs* Any day now. Pinkie you look exhausted. And the baby’s not coming yet.”
“Don’t worry Cheesy I’m just fine.”
“Good. Night Pinkie. *kisses*”
“Nighty night.”
The next morning Pinkie woke up before Cheese. She went to the kitchen.
“AHHHH! OWWWWWWW! CHEESY!”
“Pinkie!? What’s wrong?”
“Something inside me AHHHH hurts.”
“Hold still Pinkie.”
“Cheesy! I think my water just broke. AHHH! The baby’s coming now!”
“Pinkie I’m taking you upstairs.”
“But what about the AHHH hospital?”
“No your contractions are getting too close. We don’t have time to get to the hospital.”
They went upstairs.
“Ok Pinkie just breathe. The midwife will be here. I called her in.”
“AHHHH! I CAN’T DO THIS!”
“Yes you can Pinkie. You’re doing it right now.”
“CHEESY OHHHHH!”
“Breathe Pinkie.”
“AHHHH! IT HURTS!”
“Uh oh. The midwife’s not here. Pinkie I’m delivering our baby.”
“CHEESY YOU’RE NOT A DOCTOR!”
“Pinkie Fluttershy taught me about delivering when I helped her at her cottage.”
“AHHH! HERE IT COMES!”
“Come on Pinkie. Push! Push hard!”
“GRAHHH!”
“That’s it keep pushing! Just keep pushing!”
“OHHHHHHH!”
“Ok. Breathe and get ready to push again. I can see the head. Now 1 2 3 push!”
“GAHHHH!”
“Ok Pinkie just one more push and we’ll see our baby.”
“I can’t Cheesy I’m too tired. I just can’t!”
“Pinkie! Look at me! Look at me! You can do this. Our baby is almost here. You just need to push one more time. It’s almost over.”
“Ok.”
“Ok Pinkie! One big push!”
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”
*cries*
“Pinkie. You did it. *sobs* We have a daughter. Jelly Sandwich.”
Pinkie saw that her husband was crying tears of joy.
“Pinkie. She’s perfect. Here you go. Come to Mommy.”
Pinkie saw her little daughter. She too began to cry.
“Pinkie you did wonderful.”
“You too.”
They gave each other a passionate kiss. And they kissed Jelly.
