two Sunsets, six million
Hit and run
Previous Chapter"All right girls," Sunset waved as she separated from her group, "I'll see you later." The group walked each girl to her own business, and Sunset walked around the street towards the mall, hoping to find the known Help wanted sign. Sunset hoped that this summer she would save enough money to go on a vacation out of the city. After what happened to the girls on that cruise, they indeed deserved a good relaxing vacation without monsters or Equestrian magic. As she walked around the street, passing familiar faces of friends from school, she felt something weird, as if a pair of eyes were looking at her, following her every move, and waiting for her to fail at a challenge she didn't know she accepted. Sunset tried to calm herself down as he continued to walk towards the mall, telling herself it's just in her head, but the feeling of eyes watching her put her on stress, making her walk faster and faster, trying to get away from the unknown stalker. Finally, Sunset's fears calmed down as she arrived at the sanctuary called Canterlot Mall.
As Sunset walked through the stores, trying to find the wanted help sign, she again felt the eyes watching her, and she tried to find the one who is following her, but it was the last day of school, and as usual to the last day, the mall was blasted with teenagers going to the great I finished school shopping. Sunset, trying again to keep her mind away from the stalker idea, decided to leave the mall, and she walked to Sweet snack cafe. As she arrived, she was immediately greeted by the familiar smiled of her pink friend. "Hi Sunset!"
"Oh, hey Pinkie," Sunset smiled and she walked towards her friend.
"So, did you find something?" Pinkie asked Sunset as she walked with her to her table, passing tables full of families, couples, and friends having fun. "Don't tell me, you are working at the zoo, no at the bank, no at the diamond shop! I am so happy for you!" Pinkie hugged Sunset, happy for her friend, even though Sunset didn't even tell her what happened.
"Um...Pinkie," Sunset tried to explain the situation, "I didn't get a job yet."
"Oh," Pinkie smiled, nodded in understanding, "I got you, you are waiting for the group, so you could tell the news to all of us."
"No, I meant..." Sunset sighed, "There was something else on my mind, I kind of forgot about the job thing."
"It's okay Sunset," Pinkie put a hand on her friend's shoulder and smiled as they arrived to the only table that wasn't crowded with people. The only one who was next to the booth was a man wearing a black trench coat, he had metal bracelets, covering his wrists, and he wore black fingerless gloves. The man's face was hidden by the newspaper he was reading, and on the table was barely eaten a hamburger. "Excuse me, sir, do you mind if my friend would sit here with you? There are no more seats except here."
"Sure," The man answered without looking at the girls, and Sunset entered the booth, sitting in front of the man. "I would take one chocolate milkshake Pinkie," Sunset ordered as Pinkie winked.
"Okie Dokie Lokie!" Pinke nodded, and in a pink blur, she disappeared, leaving Sunset in the awkward silence.
"So, how is your burger?" Sunset asked, trying to break the awkward silence that was between her and the stranger.
"I had better," The stranger answered without even looking at her. Finally, after a long time of awkward silence, Sunset's milkshake arrived, and before she started to drink it, the stranger put down the newspaper to reveal a blue man with a red beard, red short hair and green eyes, "Don't drink it, it's poison."
"What are you talking about?" Sunset asked confused as she tried to drink the shake, but the man threw it away and pulled a gun, "Wow!" Sunset shouted in surprise and fear, "Are you insane?!"
"Come with me if you want to live," The man told Sunset as aimed the gun at her back, and Sunset had no choice. They got up from the booth, and she and the man walked out from the diner to the parking lot. "Follow me," The man told Sunset as they heard the sound of motorcycles coming towards them, and they turned to see three bikers wearing green and black leather suits riding their motorcycles towards them. The man sighed and he broke the window of the nearest car in the place, and he opened the car's door, "Get in."
"What is going on?" Sunset asked as the man pushed her into the car, and he went from the other side. The man started the car with the hot wires and the two took off. Sunset terrified, tried to ask the man what is going on again, but the man didn't listen, he was focused on the driving as he looked in the sideways mirrors and he saw that the three riders are still behind them. The man tried to get them off their back and he tried to avoid them inside the traffic of cars they were in, but the riders were on their tail, moving behind him as they started to shoot.
"Be a dull and hold the wheel," The man asked Sunset she held her seat tight, and he left the wheel, put his hand and head outside of the car. Sunset, without wasting time, took the wheel and tried to stabilize the car as the man aimed at the riders, and he started to shoot as well. Sunset tried to get the riders off their backs, but she didn't help so much. Two of the riders were moving next to the car, one next to the bearded man, and the other next to Sunset's side of the car. "Alright, I need you to kill him!" The man told Sunset as he shot the rider next to him, but he missed, "There is a gun in my pocket, take it!"
"What?!" Sunset asked the man about his request, "I am not going to kill anyone!" The riders again shot the car, trying to hit Sunset, but missed.
"So do you prefer to die?" The man asked in anger.
"No, but I won't kill!"
The man rolled his eyes, and he finally got a good shot at the rider and BAHM! One rider is down, falling off the bike. The man pushed Sunset out of the wheel, and he got closer to the next rider, one hand on the wheel and the other on the gun, the man got closer and closer to the rider, making him move as the man pulled the trigger, and the motorcycle's wheel was down, making the bike roll over. The man looked at the front mirror of the car, trying to find the third rider, but the third was gone.
"What is going on?!" Sunset asked the man as he put the gun back in his pocket, and he continued to drive, as the chase didn't even happen, "Why those people tried to kill you, and why did you kidnap me?"
"Oh, they didn't try to kill me," The man answered to Sunset's confusion, "They tried to kill you Sunset."
"How do you know my name?" Sunset asked in fear of the answer. The man looked at Sunset, and his hand was on the gun, the man took the gun and suddenly everything went black.
The police arrived at Sweet snacks cafe as Pinkie explained to them what happened. "So I put Sunset next to this bearded guy that red a newspaper, and she asked for a chocolate milkshake, this is my specialty, but this time, the new guy wanted to make it, so I let him, and out of nowhere, the man pulled a gun and took Sunset!" The police officer nodded as the doorbell ringed, and he turned to see a purple woman with pink long hair, a black suit and a dark pair of sunglasses walked in. The woman told the man to walk away, the man nodded and the woman walked to Pinkie.
"Mrs. Pie?" The woman asked.
"Yes," Pinkie answered, "Who are you?"
"I am a special agent, Tempest Shadow, and I'm here to find your friend."
