“You worry too much, Bonnie,” said Phoenix, cracking a smile. “I’ll get all my stuff done now so we can have our alone time early.” The woman’s angry face bloomed bright red, through her frown didn’t go away.

You show favorites!” Phoenix shrugged his shoulders, then glanced up at the clock. The time ticked away until 11 when all the lights were supposed to be out.
