The Chapter You Should Read First
Nobles in fancy-looking clothes, all wearing masks of some kind, formed what was more or less a line towards the entrance of the mansion, the crowd stretching out all the way to the gate and then a short distance into the street. Waving Light gave herself a push to hover a little higher and see past the heads of the mares and stallions around her, all taller than her, while still staying close enough to the ground to avoid her place in line being stolen. Two different sets of guards this time it seemed, along with those patrolling the perimeter, likely to make sure no one spied from the windows this time around.
It made sense that the line would move slowly, the party hadn't yet officially begun and only a select few were allowed inside the mansion itself, while the rest simply went through a preliminary check to enter the gardens. Still, she couldn't help but be bored by the ordeal, she thought with a sigh as she descended back to the ground. She got there early just to have to wait, yet getting there late would have meant waiting even more. Idly, she pondered how many centuries it would take for the Princess to subtly manipulate public perception until sex parties became the norm and all those security measures weren't needed any longer.
"The line, Miss," came a stallion's voice behind her, startling her from her thoughts. Sure enough, the ponies ahead of her had moved forward, and she quickly followed behind. She could see the gates more clearly now, along with the ponies there. It was now Blueblood's turn, the stallion unmistakeable even behind the mask he wore. Like everypony else there, really, only she didn't really know or care about any of the others, she wasn't related to them after all. Some did use mild altering spells to have some degree of deniability about their presence there, but none of the presents really cared. Blueblood winked at the guards, lifting his mask for a moment, and the two let him pass with an eye-roll. Everyone knew he was invited, no point in wasting time on formalities.
As the line advanced further, the couple in front of her began to look at each other, awkwardly shifting in place. "You brought the invites, right honey?" she heard one of the two ask, while one of the guards asked the unicorn in front of him for her own invitation. "I thought you did, sweetie," the other replied. The two looked at each other, mortified, then moved out of the line in an awkward cross between a dignified stroll and a desperate run, heading back towards the centre of town. Smirking, Waving walked into their place, right as the mare who had been in front of them finished presenting her own invite.
Turning to her, as the unicorn walked away, the guard asked in a bored tone, "Your invitation, Miss?"
"Here you go," she replied, drawing a folded piece of paper forth from beneath her dress, the edge of it sticking out at the side of her neck. Passing it to the guard, she smiled again, studying his reactions.
The armoured pegasus lifted an eyebrow, amused. "Huh. Didn't know the Princess had any other relatives around the country," he commented, bringing the paper closer to his eyes to inspect it further.
The unicorn mare behind the gates, who had just had her invitation checked, stopped as she heard that, turning around with a curious expression on her face, still easily visible despite her silver mask. "Excuse me," she asked, walking back towards the trio, "did I hear that correctly? A relative of the Princess?"
"Well, so it says here," the guard replied, "and it looks pretty authentic to me."
So had her fake documents, Stardust thought to herself. "May I see this?" she asked.
The guard looked quizzically at Waving, who dismissively nodded with a half-smirk, seemingly not caring much about the ordeal. Shrugging, he passed the paper to the unicorn, who brought it to her own eyes. A letter from Celestia herself, stating that Waving Light was indeed her distant relative, the exact specifics of their relationship apparently wouldn't have fit into the page, and that the traditional convention of members of the royal family being automatically invited to any party held in the town of Canterlot, technically anywhere in Equestria too, did indeed apply to her. It did look authentic, even to her. If it was a fake then it was a better one than anything she could've gotten herself. Celestia's signature looked exactly like it should have, as did everything else.
"So?" the grey pegasus asked, clicking her tongue.
Stardust passed the invitation back to her with her magic. "I wasn't aware of any relatives of the Princess either. It seems Her Majesty has chosen to keep your existence as little known as possible a fact." Even to her.
Passing through the guards and stepping into the gardens, Waving tore the paper to shreds with her wings, nonchalantly walking over it as it fell to the ground in pieces.
And it wasn't hard to see why. "I see you plan to uphold the existing reputation of the younger members of Her Highness's family," she snarkily, if subtly, commented as she began to head towards the doors of the mansion.
Fluttering at her side, having to use her wings to keep up with the much taller unicorn, Waving replied, "The reputation of being ponies who know how to enjoy themselves?"
"If lacking any sort of respect for the ponies of this country on the grounds that being related to the crown makes one better than them, then showing no respect for that same pony who wears the crown either is to your enjoyment, then yes, I suppose so."
Waving snorted, amused. "Bet you're going to get stallions throwing themselves at your hooves with that attitude."
"Oh, I assure you, many a stallion quite enjoy being walked over," Moonlight replied with a smile. It was true, if their dreams were any indication. Some even dreamed of her being the one to do so.
"Is that why this country's run by such a bitch?" Waving asked, setting down on the ground as the two arrived at the end of the second line, leading to the doors.
The unicorn almost chocked on her own breath. "You be glad times have changed, filly, once a comment like that would have earned you an execution." It wouldn't have, actually, but history books written roughly four hundred years prior had begun to spread the information, and only recently had any attempt been made to fix the misconception. Stardust had studied the matter before Luna's return and Princess Twilight's research, and hadn't bothered to pick up a history book after finishing her studies.
"Sounds like something a bitch would do." The pegasus looked to the ground. "She never once came to visit. I didn't even know I was related to her until recently. I don't think she cares about me at all, really, I barely got to see her when I arrived here."
Stardust looked back at her. "The Princess is very busy, she has little time left beyond her duties. But she cares about her ponies. I am sure she cares about you. She's just not that good at showing it, that's all."
"Yeah, sure," Waving replied, sounding a little sad. "I always liked Luna better. She's much better at protecting Equestria, too. What was the last time someone successfully took over during the night?"
"I believe that was Nightmare Moon."
Waving bit her tongue. "Oh, yes. Perhaps it would be better not to bring that up when I meet her. Still, she was the one to beat Celestia there, my point stands."
"I don't believe the two of them ever meant there to be a popularity contest between them," the unicorn added, eyeing the doors as a few ponies were allowed in.
The pegasus tilted her neck to get a look at the entrance herself. "It didn't stop the population from making one. And Celestia looks to still be winning, for some dumb reason."
Stardust sighed. Turning back to the line's direction, and adjusting the silver stud in her mane, she asked, "So what exactly brings you to this party, Waving Light?"
"Getting laid. Are there other reasons one might come here?" the mare asked with an eyebrow raise.
"Meeting ponies they might not otherwise get a chance to. And getting laid with them, yes. But this particular occasion does wonders for bypassing bureaucracy and slow formal meetings, it's a great business catalyst." She shifted one of her shoulders, as it was beginning to stiffen a bit. "Still, I find it hard to believe you would come all the way to Canterlot just for sex, I'm sure plenty of ponies would have been willing to fuck you back where you came from."
"Is that an offer?" Waving asked, getting an amused snort in response. She continued, "Lack wasn't the problem, quite the opposite in fact. It starts to get boring when you run out of new ponies to sleep with. And when the whole royal family thing came up I couldn't really go to a new city and start again there."
Stardust chuckled at the statement. The second part was probably the true one. She couldn't exactly go around banging the common-folk if she was related to Celestia. Sadly. But ponies would talk, the royal family tree wasn't allowed to have a slut in its branches. Which meant it couldn't possibly afford a second one.
Waving shifted in place, moving her legs a bit. "And what about you? What brings you here, huh... I didn't catch your name, actually."
"I did not throw it. Stardust Clouds. And, if I have to be frank, same. With how uptight the social norms of Canterlot's elite have gotten the most private way left to have sex is either this or an orgy in the woods, and I don't like grass in my mane."
"Understood." The pegasus looked up as she heard a click, just in time to see the doors to the mansion finally open. "Well, see you around, Stardust," she said, flying forward into the house.
"See you," Stardust replied, as Waving knocked into a couple of ponies' heads with her hooves while flying over them. Shaking her head, she walked into the mansion herself, looking around the main hall for any interesting pony she might have a conversation or more with.
Waving shifted a little closer to the couple at her side, pretending to be focused on the food on the table. "So, hey, you two," she began after a moment, "If you were to share a mare, what hole would each one pick?"
The two stallions looked down and to the side towards her. "I think we should go somewhere more intimate," one said to the other, and they teleported away, leaving the pouting pegasus behind.
"And then she refused to buy it. Can you believe it? I mean, of course you can, I'm telling you about it, but can you believe it? Straight up, she turned and left! No respect whatsoever. And to think I had invited her to my birthday celebrations. I just had to undo the invitations after such an affront. But I couldn't, see, her sister was also invited, and she's done nothing against me, it's not her fault she's her sister, but she was only invited because her sister was invited, and I couldn't just undo the invitation like that and offend her, but then I couldn't invite her separately and either way I would have been offending her by not inviting her sister and..."
Stardust nodded along, focusing all her attention on the glass of wine held in her magic in the vain hope it would swallow her.
"Hey there, handsome," Waving sultrily said as she approached a stallion. "Ever wondered what a wingjob feels like?"
The unicorn turned, looked around, then looked down at the pegasus. "Are you even old enough to be here?"
A cracking sound came from the mare's mouth, as the stallion walked away towards another unicorn in a green dress cut way too high on her back. Taking a deep breath, Waving closed her eyes for a moment, then looked around again. "Hey there, pretty," she sultrily said, approaching a mare.
"Now, you see, my cousin used to own a farm near Ponyville, and he always threw around the idea of wanting to build something else there instead. Of course, mother thought he should have just sold the thing, no one had any need for a farm and money wasn't a problem, but then..."
A glint of insanity in her eyes, her glass empty for the third time, Stardust very carefully removed one of her earrings with her magic and flung it under the nearest table. "Oh Goodness, I better get that," she blurted out, cutting off the other and darting forward to follow the piece of silver. Hiding under the table, the curtain of cloth around her granting shelter from the rambling of nobles, she whispered a sigh of relief for a moment.
"Excuse us, but would you mind leaving us alone?" Fancypants asked from her left, as he held Twilight Velvet's mouth pressed on his crotch.
"That would be nice, yes," Fleur de Lis echoed from her left, as Night Light railed her from behind.
Waving studied the room below her, while perched on the chandelier hanging from the ceiling. It would have been easier to focus without the humping and moaning of the other two ponies also there, who unfortunately were not interested in a threesome, but it wasn't that bad. The pegasus turned, hopeful, only to find herself face to face with Blueblood. Her newborn smile turning into a frown again, she sighed. "You realise that would be incest, right?"
The stallion blinked. "And?" He blinked again. "Also legally speaking no, unless you're from the same branch of the family I am, and I would know if you were. "Excuse me, may I sit here?" Stardust asked, nudging the mare on the sofa with a hoof.
The earth pony looked up at her. "Depends. Are you willing to put that mouth to use?"
Stardust lifted an eyebrow. "I would prefer to have a conversation first before eating someone out in public."
"Your loss." The mare laid on the sofa, taking up all the available space.
Stardust rolled her eyes.
From behind the couch, Waving Light popped up, her mane messy and her make-up slightly smeared. "I'm willing to!"
The mare on the couch looked at her, then picked her up with her hooves. "Hey, I didn't know they allowed foals in here," she mocked her before putting her back down.
Trading a glance with the pegasus, Stardust clicked her tongue, then levitated the mare off of the couch and threw her towards the two stallions fucking on top of the nearest table. Sitting down on the couch, she sighed, then said, "Don't think I did it because I like you. I was just defending the royal family's honour."
"Yeah, sure, whatever," Waving replied, sitting down beside her. "How did the hunt go?"
Stardust looked to the ceiling, laying her head back. Then she looked away from the ceiling, the sight of a pegasus fucking an earth pony upside down on the ceiling not too entertaining for her. "Poorly. I'm trying to get to know someone, I can't just have sex with a stranger. But everypony either wants to fuck immediately or is unbearably annoying to talk to. At least you don't care about knowing others, you're getting some action."
"Ah." Waving looked to the ground. "Yeah, no. I don't know if it's because I'm related to Celestia, because I'm short, or-"
"Because you're annoying?"
Waving pouted. "Anyway, no one seems to want me. This?" She pointed at her mane. "This was me slipping on a puddle on the ground, of what I hope was vodka, after a mare told me she'd rather break her neck trying to lick her cunt herself than bang me. It seems everyone I meet is either a gay stallion, a straight mare, or taken for the night."
"Or maybe you're just annoying," Stardust repeated.
Waving blew air from her nose as angrily as she could. Crossing her hooves over her chest, she let her gaze wander over the room, focusing on the ponies having a threesome on the other sofa. After a moment, biting her lower lip, she asked, "I'm not ugly, right?"
Stardust turned her gaze to her. Studying the pegasus for a bit, she replied, "No. I think you're pretty, actually."
Waving blushed slightly. "Thank you. And, uh, same." She adjusted in her seat, as Twilight Velvet walked out from under the table to fetch a couple of drinks, wiping her mouth. "You know, I thought ponies wouldn't care about the fact that I'm Celestia's distant nephew or whatever if I acted like I don't care myself."
Stardust sighed. "Anyone interested in a spoiled royal brat that dishonours the Sisters's names is already busy sucking on Blueblood's cock I'm afraid."
Waving punched the pillow below her. "Well, what am I supposed to do? Get ponies to like me by pretending I care about someone who was never there for me? I'm already insulting her by being here anyway." Her body went limp in her seat. "It's hard having to live in her shadow. No one ever cared about who I was, only about what I was."
The unicorn looked at her. "I care," she said, extending a hoof towards her.
Waving stared back. "Well I... I did not actually plan for this, honestly. Fuck."
Stardust chuckled. "Just... Tell me about yourself. Just be yourself with me, you look like you need it. I promise I won't judge."
"But what if wanting to fuck immediately is being myself?" the pegasus asked.
Stardust laughed. "Anyone ever told you you're cute?"
"Peculiar definition of the word." Waving wiped some of the unidentified fluids away from her face.
"Well, come on," Stardust said, smiling. "Tell me about yourself."
The pegasus rubbed the back of her neck. "Ah, fuck. I really am terrible at this."
The unicorn moved closer to her, and silently hugged her. "It's alright." Letting go of her, she offered, "Want me to show you how it's done?"
Still blushing from the hug, Waving nodded.
"Well, okay, let's see." Stardust repositioned herself to face the pegasus. "I was born here in Canterlot, and I grew up here. I went to Celestia's school, and I-"
Waving held up a wing, silencing her. "Yeah, I don't actually care about any of that, sorry."
Stardust pursed her lips. "I suppose maybe my life story isn't so interesting, you're right. Let's talk interests, shall we? I love reading, and theatre. And gardening, on a small scale."
"I like reading too. Theatre as well, actually," Waving replied, looking into the distance.
"Oh really? I wouldn't have thought." Stardust grabbed another glass of wine from a passing tray.
"Ah. I can see why, yeah." The pegasus looked down. "I also like being on my own. Well, I was sort of forced into liking it. Whenever I'm with somepony it always feels like they're wearing a mask, and like I'm forced to wear one as well." She sighed. "I hoped this would be different."
Finishing her glass, Stardust looked at her. "What do you say about finding a room for ourselves?"
Waving looked up with a jerk. "But I thought-"
Stardust hushed her with a hoof. "I did come here to fuck, after all, and so did you. And from the looks of it, this place is going to devolve into an orgy in half an hour at most, so you're my only decent shot at a one-on-one thing. You can stay here if you want though, I guess I can always just go home."
The pegasus looked to the opposite end of the room, from where Blueblood winked at her while getting his dick sucked by a stallion, then turned back with a shiver. "You're not doing this out of pity, are you?"
"Of course not." Stardust began to get up. "I did hope for a good fuck, but I guess a passable one will have to do."
"Hey!" Waving began to flutter behind the unicorn as she walked out of the main hall and into a corridor.
After four corridors, one flight of stairs, and two not empty rooms which had not been locked, after having to walk around a couple who refused to move away from the middle of the corridor, and after ignoring whatever the unicorn at the end of the hallway, probably drunk, was trying to do with the potted plant, the two finally found a bedroom.
"Check the bathroom," Stardust said while locking the door, "you never know, someone might have decided to wait here."
After giving a quick look and confirming they were in fact alone, Waving jumped on the bed, flipping the minibar open with a wing. "Want something?" she asked, taking off her mask.
"No thanks," the unicorn replied, removing her silver scarf and folding it. "I'm already drunk enough to have sex with you, I'd rather not go further than this."
"Ha ha." Waving grabbed a bottle of vodka for herself, and a napkin from beneath her dress to clean away her make-up where it had smudged.
Stardust opened the wardrobe, and looked down at the basket of sex toys laying inside it. "Want something?" she asked, lifting it for the pegasus to see.
Waving closed the bottle. "What's the biggest dildo they have in there?"

Waving looked back up. "Really?" She carefully lifted her hooves to the sides of the unicorn's face, almost trembling, her breath a little quicker.

"I hope that doesn't make things awkward," Stardust replied.

Stardust's first instinct was to draw back, but after a moment she relaxed, returned the kiss and hugged the pegasus, her hooves travelling over her small frame and stroking her wings. A few seconds later, she broke the kiss, a trail of saliva connecting her mouth to the pegasus', and stared down at the smaller mare with half-lidded eyes, a warm smile on her face.
Waving returned the smile, her breath quickening and a red hue spreading on her cheeks. "So we're going to do this then?"

Waving stopped her, placing a hoof on her lips. "I... I have something to tell you as well. I think I should go first." Looking a little embarrassed, she fidgeted with one of her hoofbands, then removed it. A moment later, a flash of golden light enveloped her, and as it dissipated she appeared as Princess Celestia, a small and awkward smile on her lips. "Surprise, I suppose," she said.
Stardust Clouds stared, dumbfounded, at the alicorn sitting in front of her, and a second later her own hoof collided with her face. With a flick of her horn, a tide of blue magic swept over her, revealing her wings, taller form and nebulous, starry mane. "Sister. Were it not for a certain blonde unicorn we unfortunately share our residence with, I could without the shadow of a doubt say that you are the greatest idiot to have ever lived in this country. Even still, it's pretty close," Luna said.
Celestia stared at the alicorn with wide and curious eyes. "Oh. Hi Luna."

Luna groaned.
Celestia blinked.
Luna pondered the futility of existence.
"We're still doing this again, right?" Celestia asked, worried.
Luna looked at her, her expression flat, and breathed slowly once. "...sure."
Celestia smiled, tapping her hooves together, and laid at Luna's side, nudging herself closer to her sister.
