Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker Return [Edited]
The map showed the Cutie Mark of Mane 6. But it showed the Cutie Mark of all. And it was marked on the castle. Why would they all go to the castle? Well, just going there to find out.
“Girls, the map is sending us to the princess castle. What do you think happened?” said Twilight Sparkle.
“There’s going to be a party!” exclameid Pinkie Pie happily.
“Pinkie Pie, if the map sent us all, that’s why it must be black,” said Applejack.
“You’re being racist, darling,” said Rarity.
“I’m not being racist, I’m just…” Applejack tried to say, but had been interrupted by Twilight Sparkle.
“Guys, let’s go. It can be important. We cannot disappoint the princesses of Equestria.”
When they arrived on the train, they talked about what might have happened to all of them being called.
“Does any pony know why the map sent us all to the castle?” asked Applejack.
“None of us know,” the others answered in unison.
At the castle, Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon were discussing what was best food in the dining room.
“Waffles are better!” exclaimed Nightmare Moon.
“No! Pancakes are better!” exclaimed Daybreaker.
The other ponies in the room had already fled out of the castle or across the castle. Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker hadn’t even noticed. Because they were so focused on discussing the best food.
“Waffles is better!! What’s your problem?!” exclaimed Nightmare Moon.
“And what’s your problem with waffles rather than pancakes?!” exclaimed Daybreaker.
“OK. Now what the hell is going on here?” asked a voice from the doorway.
Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker looked where the voice came from and saw Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash.
“Friends! I’m glad you came. We’re having a discussion and we need a vote ... ” Nightmare Moon tried to say, but had been interrupted by Twilight Sparkle.
“You could tell us what happened before you... You know,” said Twilight Sparkle.
Celestia was eating her pancakes. She loved to eat pancakes for breakfast. To her, it was the best food ever. Suddenly she heard a sound of the door opening. Celestia looked at the door, “oh. Good morning, Luna”
“Good morning, sister,” said Luna. She sat on the chair and magically took the Waffles in a plate.
Celestia was surprised. Did Luna like Waffles? But pancakes were the best food ever, “Luna, why are you eating waffles?”
Luna swallowed the piece of waffles. “Because is it the best food.”
Celestia couldn’t believe what Luna said. Luna could only be kidding. “No, Luna. The best food is pancakes.”
Luna made a surprised face as she put a hoof on her chest. “What? Waffles is the best food.”
“No, Luna. Pancakes are the best food,” said Celestia.
“Accept, Celestia. Waffles are the best food,” said Luna, already starting to get angry.
“I don’t! You have to accept that pancakes are the best food!” exclaimed Celestia.
“Don’t you dare yell at me, Sister!” exclaimed Luna, starting to get annoyed. She almost used the Royal Canterlot Voice.
“And dare not use the Royal Canterlot on me! I’m your big sister!” cried Celestia angrily.
Luna was annoyed. “So just because you’re the big sister, do you think you’ll always win? Well, you’re wrong!”
“At least I never wanted to cast Equestria in an eternal night!”
“That’s it! You have crossed the line, sister!” Luna growled in Nightmare Moon’s voice. Suddenly, her height increased as she became Nightmare Moon once again. Her pupils contracted into dragon slits, and her princess perk: her necklace, crown and slippers became Nightmare Moon’s armor: helmet, chest plate and shoes. Her teeth sharpened into fangs, completing the transformation from Princess Luna to Nightmare Moon.
Celestia laughed. “Do you think you can beat me? I’m the big sister!” Her ethereal mane turned to flames, her eyes turned to dragon slits, and her princess’s perks turned to orange armor.
“Let me see if I understood. Have you succumbed to your dark sides just because you don’t accept what the other likes?” said Applejack.
“She started it.” Nightmare Moon pointed to Daybreaker.
“Me? You started by saying that Waffles are the best food,” said Daybreaker.
“But you asked why I was eating Waffles,” pointed out Nightmare Moon. “You want everypony to likes what you like. Just like your damn day!”
Daybreaker laughed. “And why not? They should serve me and not you!”
“Silence!!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle.
Nightmare Moon, Daybreaker and their Twilight friends looked at Twilight Sparke. “Look, why instead of settling in a fight, why don’t we vote? The food with the highest votes is the best”
Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker smiled. “It’s a great idea!”
“Which one of you prefer Waffles?” asked Nightmare Moon.
Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie Pie raised their hoof. Nightmare Moon smiled. She stuck her tongue out at Daybreaker.
Daybreaker rolled her eyes at the mockery she received. “Which of you prefers pancakes?”
Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle and Applejack raised the hoof. “Draw. And now?”
Pinkie Pie started jumping with joy. “I know! I know! Global Vote!”
“Pinkie, this will take too long. Don’t have another idea?” said Twilight Sparkle.
Pinkie Pie started to think. “No. No idea”
Rainbow Dash had an idea. “I already know! A duel!”
“What?!” exclaimed all except Rainbow Dash. Each spoke differently. Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity spoke scared. Nightmare Moon, Daybreaker and Pinkie Pie spoke cheerfully.
“Rainbow, this is ...”
“... It’s a great idea!”
Twilight Sparkle looked surprised at Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker.
Nightmare Moon was now looking at Daybreaker. “I challenge you in a duel”
“I accept. And you’re the one who’s going to lose,” said Daybreaker, before using her magic and changing the castle setting to an arena. Twilight and her friends were sitting in the stands. Beside them was a pony seller. Pinkie Pie bought popcorn from the pony.
Daybreaker summoned an orange sword as she smiled. “I hope you’re ready to lose, sister.”
Nightmare Moon summoned a light blue sword. “No. I’m ready to see you die.”
Twilight Sparkle didn’t know if Rainbow’s idea was good. She feared that if one of the princesses died, the other would end up bringing eternal night or eternal day. But, she should trust Rainbow, right?
Nightmare Moon advanced in Daybreaker. But Daybreaker teleported and appeared behind Nightmare Moon. and tried to attack Nightmare Moon with her sword. But, Nightmare Moon was able to defend herself with a sword. Nightmare Moon smiled. “You can’t beat me easy, Sister!”
Daybreaker cursed herself for thinking it would be so easy. She dropped the sword and cast a fire spell. Nightmare Moon was thrown against the wall of the stands. Twilight and the others except Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker exclaimed with surprises. They certainly didn’t expect that to happen. Each of the six mares were rooting for one of the princesses to win. Twilight Sparkle, of course, was rooting for Daybreaker. Rarity was rooting for Nightmare Moon. Applejack for Daybreaker. Fluttershy for Nightmare Moon. Rainbow Dash for Nightmare Moon and Pinkie Pie for Nightmare Moon.
Nightmare Moon raised her head, she flew to Daybreaker and cast a spell. Daybreaker threw a shield to protect herself. When she deactivated the shield, Nightmare Moon took advantage that Daybreaker took off the shield and attacked her. Daybreaker was hit and went to the ground. Applejack and Twilight Sparkle sighed in surprise. Twilight Sparkle wanted to find a way to get into the arena just to see if her former mentor was hurt. Nightmare Moon started laughing evilly. “Now that I have won, Waffles are the best food!! Forever!!”
Twilight Sparkle had an idea. She teleported into the arena and raced over to Daybreaker. Nightmare Moon stopped celebrating. “Celestia, please. Talk to me.”
“Twilight…” started Daybreaker weakly.
Twilight Sparkle waited patiently. She knew that Daybreaker, but also known as Celestia, would say something to her.
Daybreaker started to laugh. “… You can’t take anything in jest, right?”
Twilight Sparkle was confused. “What? What are you talking about?”
Daybreaker stood up. Her flaming mane became ethereal again, her slits became pupils, and her orange armor was once again a princess’s perk.
Twilight Sparkle was surprised. “What? But… You… A little while… ”
“We don’t cast harmful spells. And the swords weren’t real, they were just illusion,” said Celestia, still smiling.
“It’s true, Twilight,” said Luna, smiling.
“But, you two became Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker. So, I thought… ”
“Well, we really succumb to our bad side,” confessed Celestia. “But, we weren’t meant to hurt each other.”
Twilight Sparkle smiled with relief. Rainbow Dash went to Celestia and Luna flying. “That was awesome, princesses!”
Luna and Celestia smiled.
“Especially when you, Luna, went flying to Celestia and cast a spell! You’re my favorite princess!” Luna smiled at the compliment.
Celestia was surprised. Would a pony prefer Luna over her? “What?”
Luna and the others looked at Celestia confusedly. “Sister, what is it?”
“A pony prefers you over me,” replied Celestia in surprise, before becoming annoyed. “I should be everpony’s favorite princess!”
Angry, Luna went to Celestia. “At least I don’t bring the damn sun. The sun makes everypony blind. What’s more, the sun is making you blind. Or rather, it blinded you a thousand years ago!”
Celestia got angry. “And the moon that you bring then? Poor ponies. They prefer my day because of giving light and not darkness!”
Luna was annoyed. “Oh, so that’s it?!” her height increased, her eyes turned dragon slits, and her princess perk turned into light blue armor. “I dare you to another duel!”
Daybreaker smiled. “Accepted.”
Twilight and the others except Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker looked startled. There they go again.
