My Little Pony Destiny:War of the Dawn
Three years...three long years of war. Gorgath and his army have launched a full invasion force of not just Equestria, but it’s allies. While the attack on Los Pegasus was successfully repelled it was only a distraction for the real target..the Dragonlands. They fell within hours. A mass immigration of dragons flocked to Equestria clogging the soldiers which allowed the full force of Gorgath’s army to strike. Half of Equestria fell within a year. During that time Gorgath launched an invasion of Yakyakistan which fell in weeks. Those living under the rule of Gorgath suffered immensely. Executions for the smallest of reasons, and everyone was forced into hard labor, not to mention the fear of the ferocious General Morgath. On both sides food was scarce and people were left without homes and families were split apart. Surrounded on all sides Equestria fights with everything they have. Now finally when everything seems lost a new hope emerges..but before that we must go back..before Twilight’s arrival, before Sombra’s defeat, before Discord was sealed in stone, and before Luna’s banishment. Back to the very beginning...
1050 years ago
The sun slowly rose from the waters of the Atlantic. The island of Manehatten and the small village that inhabited it was illuminated by the glow of sunlight. And in a small little cottage a young girl of 7 slowly awoke..
"TIA! BREAKFAST IS READY!" A female voice called from below.
"COMING MOTHER!" Tia called.
"BE SURE TO BRING DOWN LUNA!" A male voice. Tia walked to the room next door where her little sister Luna. Only 6 months old. She picked up her sleeping sister and walked downstairs to the dining room where a hearty stack of pancakes was waiting. Tia put Luna in her high chair. Before sitting down and digging in.
"Great as ever!" Tia proclaimed. Her father gave a hearty chuckle.
"Is all your homework done?" He asked.
"Yes father,"
"That's my little girl," Her father said shaking her hair which caused Tia to giggle.
“You sure raises her right,” a male voice said from behind. Behind Tia was her older brother Dusk. A man of 16.
“How’s my little sister doing this morning?” Dusk asked.
"Better then ever," Tia replied smiling.
"We're still on for tonight right? I really want to meet your girlfriend." Tia said.
"I think we all do sweetie," Her father replied.
"Oh absolutely. She's looking forward to it," Dusk replied.
"Now now you two Tia still needs to get ready," Her mother said laughing.
“Yes mother,” Tia said finishing her pancakes and then rushing upstairs to grab her school stuff and brush her teeth. She gave her parents a kiss goodbye and hugged her brother before running off to school.
“She really is a great child,” Her mother said watching her go.
“Probably the proudest moment of my life,” Her father said before getting a serious stern on his face and walking towards the market.
“Do you have to? You know if he finds out he’ll...”
“I know...but that is a risk I have to take. I will not let Luna grow up while he rules,”
Elsewhere a small army marched towards Manehatten...
Tia sat in the school hall doing her class work.
"And then class the ponies,pegasi,and unicorns founded the Equestrian Republic with the message of friendship. However as we all know friendship ended up making the Republic weak and it fell to the forces of the great King Nirn who turned the Republic into an Empire, and now two centuries later his great grandson Gorgath continues his families legacy of fairness and freedom. Long may he reign!" The teacher proclaimed.
"Long may he reign!" The class replied. Tia secretly rolled her eyes. She knew the teacher was full of crap. Her father told her many stories of the crimes Gorgath has committed.
"And now class turn to page number sixty....two?" The teacher walked to the window seeing soldiers walking through the streets.
"Hold on class let me handle this," The teacher said walking outside.
"Pardon me soldier what's the meaning of this?" The teacher asked before swiftly being cut down. The class screamed in terror before making a run for it. The soldiers started shooting arrows through the windows of the school hitting anyone they could. Tia jumped out of the back window scratching her knee on the glass. She quickly got up and ran to her home. Tia ran through town watching the soldiers burn the village to the ground and cutting down anyone they saw. She ran and ran as fast as she could to get to her house. As she turned the corner she saw her house was on fire.
"FATHER! MOTHER!" Tia screamed rushing to the house. Suddenly the door burst open and Dusk ran out carrying a crying Luna as the house exploded behind him.
"RUN!" Dusk screamed. The three siblings began running towards the river. Four soldiers saw them run and ran after them in hot pursuit. As they reached Dusk let out a grunt of pain and fell nearly dropping Luna. He was hit with an arrow which was sticking out of his knee.
"DUSK!" Tia cried rushing to help her brother.
"NO! Go..take Luna..I'll just slow you down. Run as fast as you can. I'll try to hold them off," Dusk said handing Luna to Tia and slowly getting up and drawing his sword. Tia looked at her brother with terror in her eyes.
"GO!" Dusk commanded. Tia quickly turned around and ran into the cold river. She looked behind her as Dusk ran in another direction.
"OVER HERE YOU SLIMEBALLS!" Dusk limped back into the ruins of the village closely pursued by the soldiers.
Tia turned around and swam as fast as she could to the other side of the river. She surfaced on the other side and ran. She ran as fast as her little legs could carry her while clutching Luna tightly. After what felt like hours she finally collapsed. The smoke finally starting to get to her. As her vision faded she saw a figure approaching her and Luna...

Thus we kickstart Part 2/the Prequel. The prequel and Part 2 will be written in conjunction. Any chapter that is part of the Prequel will labeled as such.
