//-------------------------------------------------------// My Little Dissy! -by coffee mugs- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chaos Bundle! //-------------------------------------------------------// Chaos Bundle! I have an interview. I groaned quietly from the alarm clock buzzing into my ears. I was half-excited, but I really could do without. What got me up was the thought of making mom and dad proud with landing this job. Though, I feel out of it. My eyes darted to the little pony nicknacks my niece got me for my birthday, I kind of liked the show, not much. Though, the ones I did have and proudly displayed were ...Rarity, Twilight Sparkle, Princess Luna, and ...what was his name? Oh right, Discord. But instead, he took the form of a plushie, not a small action figure. I liked them all. Get your mind back on track. I can't think correctly, for once my mind is a jumbled mess. I've always been able to think straight, so why not today? No other interview was different, the routine was the same, orderly and kept together just like I enjoyed. I never drink, I went to bed even earlier. So what was it? I'm hoping it was just my weariness catching up on me from the nights of taking notes and planning the correct outfit to present myself properly for this job. No, I've dealt with this before, maybe I just needed coffee? Was all this worrying that's making my mind a fuzz? I didn't know. Should I wear my name tag? Would it seem... like I wouldn't expect them to remember? My eyes darted to the shiny little simple name tag, in bold letters 'Elizabeth' was written and obviously noticeable. Yet, my brother used to tell me my writing was too complex and fine, so it was a new kind of chicken scratch. I didn't get that, I never did. No matter, I can just sit and simply drink my coffee. What's more to it, huh? New town, away from it all. To distract myself even further, I turned on the news, it got my mood down right away. I was hyped for this interview, what more to want than a chance at something greater? Yet, all I saw was the boring and depressing news, I didn't need that today. All I could do was flip through the channels, hoping for a miracle to happen. All of them looked the same, and as much as I loved some of the shows I was passing up, I just needed something to lift my spirits, and I can note most of the shows I like can really get you down in the dumps. Then, there was a bold flash of color and music that overshadowed all the mumblings of the other channels I skipped by. I hesitantly turned back, to my surprise, what had caught my attention was the show by the name of 'My Little Pony.' My niece watches this. I knew the song by rhythm, that didn't mean I liked it too much, just when my niece used to come to visit she would turn it on for hours. Hell, even my older nephew loved the show! I never paid too much attention, but as I was about to turn away, the bright colors had already caught my attention. I kind of liked the messages though, my favorite was Twilight Sparkle, she knew what she was doing and achieved her dreams. Other than those minor things, I never had thought I'd be brushing my teeth and watching the show intently. I didn't even know who was who, and yet I found myself involved. What am I doing? I have an interview to get ready for, but I must admit, that got me a little hyped up. It was sort of enjoyable, maybe I'll watch more intently next time I see my niece and she wants to watch-- oh, right. I lowered my head slowly, but quickly I dismissed those thoughts and hurried to get ready. There I was, in a tight buttoned-up shirt, and a tie that was so neatly together. My hair was in the neatest bun you'd expect out of someone, I felt perfect. Even my shoes demanded respect. I was never one for dresses, I felt more prepared in a tie and other things of the sort. Just a personal preference. "Mhm, great!" I loudly whispered to myself with a reassuring nod, I knew I'd land the job. Well, I was hoping to at least, I worked so hard for this. I could only wish. I could've wished on a star for years at a time and I wouldn't have even been able to get close to being able to have a chance at this interview. It takes hard work, dedication, restless nights, and hours of preparation. Yeah, I really did relate to that Twilight pony. Though, as I felt lost in thought, my phone made a loud buzzing noise. It took a moment for me to look, I was hoping and praying my interview hadn't been canceled! No, it was just... my brother. I really didn't want to look, I knew what it was about. 'i'm sorry about what I said sis, elizabeth you need to come hang out for christmas' That's what the text said, she had re-read the text countless times. I wore a frown and quietly put my frown away, my eyes darted to the outside, snow piled on the streets. She could even count many people shoveling their driveways in hopes to make more room. I wouldn't let some ice on the road and stop me from this interview. Added to the outfit I had a wonderful scarf, I wouldn't wear it inside the interview, but it still went with the aesthetic somehow and it kept me warm. I would wear a beanie or mittens, I liked looking presentable, but I preferred not freezing to death. Though, as much as I'd like to, she couldn't risk ruining her hair. "What can't handle a little cold?" I said to myself and dismissed all voices telling me to move the interview to a better day. Why would I ever? It was almost impossible to land such an interview, I bet if I dared to ask, they'd drop me right there and then. "No, they wouldn't..." I tried to say but before I knew it, I was putting the key in the door and heading out to my automobile to head to the interview. I was almost scared. I slipped almost a couple dozen times on this ice. If I did, then well I would be mad at not being able to keep a balance for god's sake. There I went. It started up all the same, and everything seemed so fine and dandy. I quietly put on music on the radio, I let out a small exhale. Jamming out with friends would be cool. She couldn't think about that, that's all behind her. That chaos is nothing she needs, who likes chaos? Who would dare choose such trivial things over a great chance? There's nothing back there for some people, especially me. That doesn't matter now, does it? The ice still managed to crunch beneath the car's tires, I blinked slowly. It'd be okay, we'd all be okay. That's when-- Headlights came charging forward, it was a blinding light, but I didn't make much of it. I didn't make much of it, and continued to drive. That's when the ice on the ground gave me karma for even coming out today. I still remained careful, but the car, presumably a drunk driver, swerved in my direction. "...Hey!" I yelled out the window, as I could now barely see in the foggy area. I continued to carefully drive, but before I knew it, the car came at me, and the ice failed me. I swerved out of the direction as instinct, but not only did the driver slam into the side of my car, I swore I hit a nearby tree. Really, the memory is such a fuzz, a simple fuzz. Blood was on my hands and dripping down my head... and then it went black. A dark black, I was out cold. There's not much else to say, I just remember not remembering if that makes sense? It doesn't, and that's what I hate about what happened next. You'd expect me to wake up in a hospital, with stitches, and a HOPEFULLY postponed interview...but no... I was in the bed of my home, no blood, nothing, what the heck? What's going on? I then realized the harsh reality eventually after countless minutes of trying to figure it out, and I let out a pitful laugh before saying, "Man, what a crazy dream! Felt so real." I was already pouring myself some coffee, but first, I'd set my clothes out for this interview. I, of course, knew the dream was just me being paranoid. I've had so many dreams like that before, none as real, but still. Some of my clothes were missing, which was odd, but I chose to ignore it. I really didn't need any more reasons not to go. What if the dream was a sign that you'd get in a car crash today? No, never. That's not true. I don't believe in such magical occurrences. Again, I reassured myself it was just me being paranoid. I sat down, and once again, just like in my dream, tried to find a happy show. I couldn't do it, I couldn't handle the depressing world, ESPECIALLY after that dream. I tried to drink my coffee to forget a little and wake up more, but it tastes rather odd? I wasn't picky, it didn't taste bad, it just didn't taste like coffee if you know what I mean. It tasted much sweeter, colder. Perhaps I didn't...make it correctly? I was perplexed but shrugged eventually and stood to make another cup of coffee. That was when my phone buzzed. I expected my brother, obviously, but no... it was my stepdad? What was he doing texting me? 'Your mother is worried SICK. What kind of lady are you to walk off from a car accident like that? The cops said you were resting home just FINE, not even a single bruise, but you didn't even call us? I didn't know you were that against us.' Uhm, excuse me? What?... So... It was real. How? I bled, I was in pain, I screamed, I almost cried. I blacked out. I never went home willingly... it was as soon as I tried to figure the situation did my mind race, even more, trying to connect the dots, but came up to nothing. My fingers tapped as a nasty habit of my deep thinking. I would text back, but alas, my heart was pounding a million times a second. That's when the rattling of a little box caught my eye. It was wiggling... it wasn't closed shut... no, not at all. My mind just fell at a blank, so many things hit me at once. The wiggling of the box soon caught my entire attention. I didn't want to approach the wiggling box, really, nothing made sense. Nothing! Firstly, I came out unscathed from the major car accident, and not only that my coffee tasted weird. A wiggling box in my house didn't make anything more complicated and nonsensical. I felt my heart pounding, my legs froze but eventually, I was able to make their way toward the box. It still wiggled but the wiggling got even fiercer as I approached, it was maybe my paranoid imagination though. Was this just another dream? I wanted to wake up so BADLY. My hands held a wooden spoon, ready to attack if it was anything harmful. It was a bold move, but finally, my eyes landed on the inside of the box. Huh? It still wiggled, but there was nothing. Not a crumb, my guard fell down a little, and my wooden spoon at ready faltered. Yet, as I turned to leave the scary box to the nonsense I'd deal with later, it suddenly and abruptly stopped. Only then did I finally turn back, and time stood still. It was an eerie silence, but... as soon as I got a little too comfortable with the tension... a literal FIREWORK made me fall to the ground in shock. What? Huh? Was this some dirty prank? Was this payback from my brother? So many questions, so little answers. Yet, the fireworks were small, almost pretty if she weren't having a panic attack! The fireworks continued on and on, and she froze in place, taking hold of the wooden spoon again. I didn't think I was going to possibly die anymore, but I still was deathly afraid. That's when I finally had the confidence to look back into the empty box. Still a normal box-- "PEEKABOO!" A loud child-like voice made me almost fall back again, but I kept my balance this time. What was that? It was a blur. "Ohahaha!" There it was again, where was it coming from? What? Still, I was convinced this was some prank. A dirty prank. Though finally, the blurs re-appeared before my eyes could settle on the figure it went into the box. I approached the box even closer, looking back inside, and with a loud, "AHA!" Of presuming victory, there was nothing. Was I really going mad? Was this the work of stress? I wanted to make so many logical conclusions. That was then he popped back out and circled me. "Wha...?" My eyes finally were finally able to observe this being, the being that already wrecked her mom to a certain amount. The bold lines and bright colors almost blinded her, but when she finally processed the image...her jaw unhinged. He was familiar? No, you knew him. I snapped my fingers countless times, before spitting it out, "Discord!" I said quickly. It caught the little creature off guard, he was no Discord, well he was, seemingly chaos induced and bits and pieces... but she remembered him...bigger. That was the least of my concerns though, the mini-version of the cartoon being continued to swarm the home. A few cotton candy clouds she recalled from the show made its' way into my house, it wasn't that ideal. "Wait...hey!" I called out desperately as he rained down on her papers. The IMPORTANT papers. I remained still. "...No!" He paused in utter confusion. Unlike any normal human, I wasn't concerned about the cartoon being somehow here right now, I was grieving over her now chocolate milk-stained papers I had spent days organizing and writing. "....?" He just quietly arched a brow, the little creature snapped his fingers and the papers were restored to their original glory. I snapped my head to him with wide eyes. I was still convinced this was a weird lucid dream, but even when I pinched myself it still remained true. "You?..." I was at an utter loss for words. "...You're ...Discord?" He tilted his head at me, did he not talk much? Huh? I don't know... what's happening. Like that, he snapped my coffee into chocolate milk and drank some of it right from the coffee machine. "..." Now it might've made sense, what the heck do I mean, this makes NO sense! He seemed to like it that way. He was cute, but this was crazy. But what did make sense is...this little Discord...a baby version, weirdly...might've saved me from the car crash. He has bending powers, so maybe... "Ugh," I said in a frustrated tone, trying to draw parallels was giving me a headache. I could give him a toy or something so I could sit down and concentrate and think, yeah, that! I rushed to a nearby room, and the little Discord followed me eagerly, seeing in my body language I had something planned. A little horse toy my niece had left, perfect. I carefully put it down in front of him, still confused and my mind rang with slight fear still, none of the uncertainty was fading one bit. I watched, slightly pleased he calmed automatically in some regard and seemed to fly around with the toy eagerly and mess with it. He gave me a toothy grin. I stared still in shock. I gave an awkward grin back and locked all the doors and closed the blinds. "Uhm..." I tried to sit on the couch and think. It meant nothing. I was thinking for hours. So many hours, in fact, I felt like my brain could barely take it all. It was midnight at this point, and I expected chaos, and well there was, just not as much as I had expected. Still, the nonsense drove me crazy, but I had expected a waterfall by now... that was it... the chaos being was asleep on the floor with the horse toy bundled against him. I had a large sigh of relief, but as I turned to go, the little guy's shivers and obvious whimpers from the cold made my heart weigh on me. It was then and now did my heart do the talking and moving, which was certainly rare, he got a special spot on the couch near the fireplace with a nice blanket. I still could NOT comprehend it, but what was I do to? Just throw him out? Leave him in the cold because of my utter shock? Well firstly, he might make the entire world chaotic, and secondly, I'd probably feel really bad to leave him out in the winter's snow. He wasn't that old and fully matured Discord that's shown in the show, I think he's just a very young child. I wouldn't say baby, but still rather young. Toddler age, perhaps? I... don't know. I was just expecting to wake up any minute, yet I did the opposite, I slept. A deep sleep. A bundle of warmth curled next to me in my sleep, oh, probably my cat. Wait, I don't have a cat anymore, they're with my parents. Oh no. Please, don't be-- "Aww." What was that? Did I just aww at the adorable sleeping chaotic being laying on my chest with a blanket over him? Yes, I did. I wouldn't say I was emotionally attached, but it felt warmer, and he was sneaky enough to crawl into my bed. I'm surprised my house isn't a literal chocolate fountain yet. Good to postpone, right? I didn't know what was happening, I'd just try to figure it out. But something told me to just accept it, and I don't know if I could. But... he did save my life, presumably. I don't know what happened, but at the very fact my little savior was a bundle of chaos from a cartoon was a little concerning. But for now, I wanted to sleep, BADLY. I don't think I'll be ditching him, though. Author's Note oof. i tried, i thought it'd be cute since i love discord and 'my little dashie' but i thought a nice twist would be a chaotic villain. the exposition is a bit long but it's a prologue so 0deoid
