Nightmare Moon's Two Students
Nightmare Moon had done that. She beat Celestia and now the night lasted forever. She couldn’t be more than happy. Now there was no way the ponies could deny their night. Just thinking about it made her feel proud in her chest. Although she was technically a queen now, she felt sorry for the foals. Because most were afraid of her. She didn’t want the foals to be afraid of her. So she had an idea: She could do a school for foals. She has done three types of schools: One for earth pony, one for unicorn and one for pegasus. And that’s what she did, now she had three schools. The foals weren’t as scared as before and that made Nightmare Moon happy. She was now on her throne until a sound from the door caught her eye, a Lunar guard went to Nightmare Moon and bowed, “My princess, the gifted unicorn school is having a test to see who has the potential to be your student. Would you like to go there to see?”
“Sure. Show me the way”, replied Nightmare Moon.
When Nightmare Moon and the guard arrived at school, Nightmare Moon went to the room where the test was taking place. Nightmare Moon watched in the doorway, she saw a lavender unicorn filly. She couldn’t help but notice that the filly’s dark colors made her happy. The foal looked nervous, she used a growth spell in the plant and she succeeded. Suddenly the filly felt she was being watched and looked to where Nightmare Moon was, “p-princess… I…” Suddenly, a Cutie Mark appeared on the flank of Twilight. Cutie Mark was a six-pointed pink star surrounded by five white stars. Nightmare Moon smiled as she saw Cutie Mark from Twilight.
“Twilight, I see you have potential. Would you like to be my student?” said Nightmare Moon.
Twilight was surprised before smiling and answering, “yes!!!” that said, she started jumping with joy.
Nightmare Moon smiled as she saw the joy of the filly, I have never seen such a happy filly in my entire life.
Suddenly they heard another sound. Twilight and Nightmare Moon went to the living room from which he saw. They saw a yellow unicorn foal with a cutie mark of a waning moon with three stars making. Nightmare Moon couldn’t help but smile as she saw Cutie Mark from the filly. Nightmare Moon went to the filly. Twilight accompanied her, “Moondancer”
Moondancer looked at Nightmare Moon, “yes?”
“I see you have potential. Would you like to be my student?” said Nightmare Moon.
Moondancer smiled, “yes. Of course”, Moondancer noted Twilight Sparkle.
“Ah. Hi Twilight”, greeted Moondancer.
“Hi Moondancer. Are you excited to be a student of the princess of Equestria?” said Twilight Sparkle.
“Yes, Twilight”, answered Moondancer.
Nightmare Moon was curious, “Are you two friends?”
Twilight and Moondancer looked at Nightmare Moon, “yes, princess. Why?” replied Twilight Sparkle.
“For nothing. Just to know”, replied Nightmare Moon.
Twilight Sparkle was still confused, but then smiled, “ok”
“Well, follow me. I’ll show you your rooms”, said Nightmare Mooon. She started to walk. She wondered if they would ever find out the truth. The truth that Celestia ruled Equestria and that Celestia was banned by Nightmare Moon. Maybe she should hide the books that spoke of Equestria’s past. But she didn’t want the fillies to think she was hiding something.
They were already in the castle, Twilight and Moondancer looked at the castle. Twilight didn’t understand why the decoration of the castle was just a night theme. Twilight wanted to ask but she decided not to. As Moondancer, she felt the opposite. She loved the castle decor, “Twilight, Moondancer”
Twilight and Moondancer stopped looking at the decor and looked at Nightmare Moon standing by a closed blue door, “this is your room”
Moondancer was doubtful, “Will Twilight and I share this room?”
Nightmare Moon made a cute smile as she closed her eyes, “yes. why?”
“Just to be sure”, answered Moondancer.
Twilight entered the room and was amazed. But she was amazed when she saw the telescope on the balcony. She ran to the telescope, “Moondancer, look! So many constellations! The night is so beautiful!”
Moondancer smiled as she gazed admiringly at the night sky, “wow…”
Nightmare Moon just watched her students. She was glad somepony had enjoyed her night, “as much as I like you to enjoy my work. I want to warn you that you will have class tomorrow”
Moondancer went to Nightmare Moon, “are you going to teach us?”
“Yes, Moondancer. Are you excited?” said Nightmare Moon.
Moondancer smiled, “yes”
“Well, I hope you two sleep well”, said Nightmare Moon, before leaving.
Twilight Sparkle pulled the blanket with her magic, lay down and covered herself. Her blanket had star designs. While Moondancer’s blanket had moon designs. Twilight was excited for her classes tomorrow. She wondered what spell she would learn. Moondancer was also excited for classes. She also pulled back the blanket, lay down and covered herself. It took a few minutes for Twilight and Moondancer to get to sleep. But when they got to sleep, they had sweet dreams.
Nightmare Moon was already far from her students’ room. She went to the library and took the book that told her story and Celestia to read.
‘Once upon a time, in the enchanted kingdom of Equestria, two princess sisters who ruled together and ensured harmony to the whole kingdom.’
‘To do this, the older sister used her unicorn powers to lift the sun to the heavens, and the younger sister brought the moon to start the night.’
‘Thus, the two sisters maintained the balance of the kingdom and its subjects ranging from various types of ponies’
‘But as time went on, the younger sister was resentful. The ponies enjoyed and played during the day that their older sister brought, but at night they were tired and only slept during their beautiful night.’
‘Until one day, the younger sister refused to lower the moon and allow the dawn. Her older sister tried to convince her, but her newly youthful heart had turned her into a frightening unicorn of darkness: Nightmare Moon! She swore it would bring darkness and that night would be eternal.’
Reluctantly, the older sister resorted to the most powerful magic known in the kingdom of ponies: The Elements of Harmony! But even with the elements, it was not possible to defeat her. Because the younger sister is no longer connected to the elements. Nightmare Moon, with her magic, imprisoned her older sister permanently on the moon. Nightmare Moon then got what she wanted. And the night has been eternal ever since.’
Nightmare Moon has finished reading. She let out a breath. She didn’t want her students to find out the truth. Nightmare Moon feared that if one of them found out the truth, one of them would go against her. Maybe she should hide this book. But where? She looked at a wing that read “Forbidden Magic .” Maybe she should hide there. Yes, that was what she was going to do. She entered the room and put the book on a shelf that was far away from the door. Now it was hoping that her students wouldn’t discover this room.

Twilight Sparkle woke up happy for her class. Twilight looked at her friend and saw that Moondancer was still asleep. Twilight wanted to wake her friend to warn about they classes. And that’s what she did. Twilight went to bed, “Moondancer”
Moondancer opened her eyes, “what is it?”
“Get up. We have class. We can’t let the princess down”, said Twilight Sparkle.
Moondancer got out of bed and arranged the blanket, “ok. Let’s go”
Moondancer and Twilight left the room. Moondancer closed the bedroom door with her magic. As they made their way to the dining room, Moondancer noticed that Twilight was jumping while walking, “you look excited, Twilight”
“And how couldn’t i be? We’ll have class with the princess of Equestria!” said Twilight Sparkle excitedly.
When they arrived in the dining room. Twilight opened the door with the hull. They saw Nightmare Moon already at the table. Nightmare Moon smiled as she saw her two students, “Good night, Moondancer. Good night, Twilight. Did you sleep well?”
Twilight was confused. Did Nightmare Moon say “good night?” But wasn’t it supposed to be daytime? “Excuse me. But, what do you mean “good night?”
Moondancer looked at Twilight Sparkle confusedly, while Nightmare Moon had a nervous looking face, “Twilight, I don’t know what you’re talking about. But I think you better go eat”
Although Moondancer isn’t Twilight, she did what her mentor said and sat next to her. Twilight was still confused. But she did what Nightmare Moon asked for.
“What are you going to teach us today, princess?” asked Moondancer.
“The teleportation spell”, replied Nightmare Moon.
Moondancer smiled. She was eager to learn this spell. While Twilight was also happy to learn, but this “good night” issue made her doubtful. Wasn’t it supposed to be daytime?
“Twilight, are you ok?” asked Nightmare Moon.
Twilight Sparkle looked at Nightmare Moon, “yes, princess”
Nightmare Moon raised an eyebrow, “Is something bothering you?”
“No. Why do you think that?” lied Twilight Sparkle. She hated lying to her mentor. But she didn’t want Nightmare Moon to know because her mentor would find it strange.
“Your expression,” replied Nightmare Moon. “You looked worried. Are you sure everything is fine?”
Twilight, still smiling, said, “yes, princess. Can I start eating?”
“Yes”, said Nightmare Moon. She wanted to know what was bothering Twilight. But Twilight didn’t want to talk.
After they had finished eating, Nightmare Moon got up, “follow me. Your classes will be in the castle garden”
Twilight Sparkle and Moondancer followed their mentor. Twilight was still in doubt. Something wrong wasn’t right. But why couldn’t she see what it was? Well, who knows when she was in class, Twilight might forget about this a little?
“Twilight, are you ok?” asked Moondancer.
Twilight looked at her friend, “yes. I’m just thinking about what’s going on in my life”
“No wanting to intrude on your life, but would you like to tell me?” asked Moondancer.
“Do you promise to not tell our mentor?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“Yes”, answered Moondancer.
“Okay,” Twilight Sparkle began to whisper. “I feel something is wrong with Equestria”
Moondancer was confused, “what are you talking about? There’s nothing wrong with Equestria”
“Moondancer, don’t you realize? When we woke up, it was still night”, said Twilight Sparkle.
“Twilight, it’s always been Equestria at night”, said Moondancer.
“No, Moondancer. Listen, you… ” suddenly Twilight and Moondancer heard the sound of a door opening. Nightmare looked at her students. Twilight and Moondancer go outside of the castle. Nightmare Moon accompanied them and closed the castle’s front door.
Nightmare Moon went to her students, “for you two be able to cast the teleportation spell, you both have to think about where you would like to be teleported and then use the magic to teleport. Give it a try. But try to not go too far. Which of you two would like to be the first?”
Twilight lifted the hull, “me! Me!”
Nightmare Moon smiled, “ok. You're the first, Twilight”
Twilight jumped for joy before casting to prepare the teleportation spell. She used her magic and managed to teleport herself at first. Twilight teleported a little closer to Nightmare Moon, “very well. Now your turn, Moondancer”
Moondancer prepared her magic to try to teleport, but to her misfortune, she failed. She tried again, but failed again. Moondancer decided to give up, “I can’t, princess. I’m sorry”
Nightmare Moon went to Moondancer, “It’s all right, Moondancer. Over time, your magic will develop and you will be able to teleport like Twilight”
Moondancer smiled and looked at Nightmare Moon, “really, princess?”
Nightmare Moon smiled, “Yes, Moondancer”, before stroking Moondancer’s mane.
Twilight Sparkle decided to ask, “Princess, will you teach us more today?”
“No, Twilight. You both will have free time to explore the castle. Just be careful to not get lost”, replied Nightmare Moon.
Twilight Sparkle wanted to know something else too, “Do you have a library here in the castle?”
“Yes, Twilight. Would you like me to show you where it is?” said Nightmare Moon.
“Yes, princess,” answered Twilight Sparkle, before looking at Moondancer. “And you, Moondancer? Would you like to stay in the library with me?”
Moondancer thought before answering, “no. Thank you, Twilight”, she looked at Nightmare Moon, “princess, do you have an observatory in your castle?”
Nightmare Moon smiled at the question, “yes, Moondancer. But first I’ll show Twilight the library, okay?”
“Okay, princess”, replied Moondancer with a smile.
“Follow me both of you”, said Nightmare Moon, before she started walking.
The two doors began to walk. Twilight’s smile dropped to a look of concern as Moondancer still smiled.
“We arrived at the library, Twilight”, said Nightmare Moon, now standing by a closed door.
Twilight jumped for joy before looking at Nightmare Moon, “can I come in, princess?”
“Of course you can, Twilight”, replied Nightmare Moon, before opening the door with her magic.
Twilight Sparkle was about to come in, but had been interrupted by Nightmare Moon, “ah. And one more thing, Twilight ”
Twilight Sparkle looked at Nightmare Moon confusedly, “Do you promise to not enter In the forbidden room?”
“Yes Princess. I promise”, answered Twilight Sparkle.
Nightmare Moon smiled, “so, you’re always welcome in my library”
Twilight Sparkle entered the library happily. Nightmare Moon and Moondancer watched Twilight enter. Nightmare Moon looked at Moondancer, “come on, Moondancer. I’ll show you the way to the observatory”
Nightmare Moon started walking and Moondancer followed her. As they walked, Nightmare Moon couldn’t help but be glad that her two students enjoyed the night. She only expected one thing: That her two students wouldn't become rebellious or stand against her.
“Princess, is everything okay?” asked Moondancer, a little worried.
Nightmare Moon realized she was looking worried. She calmed down and smiled at Moondancer, “sorry, Moondancer. But, yes. I’m fine”
Moondancer didn’t know if she accepted that, “I don’t know, princess. Are you sure? You seem worried about something”
“I’m sure, Moondancer”, replied Nightmare Moon.
Although Moondancer seemed uncertain, she decided to believe her mentor’s words.
