Evil and Good, a Yin and Yang. One cannot exist without the other just as shadows fail to thrive without light. Although wickedness is spurned, it exists for one reason and one alone—choice.

If you were given the choice to create an era of world peace, would you take it? Who wouldn’t eagerly jump at the opportunity? There is more to it than a simple yes or no—with every choice come consequences. Would it be right to deprive every lifeform the ability to choose who they wanted to be? To abolish free will? At what line are we no longer ebullient-creatures but numbed-drones?

If a divine being of celestial status decided to make that decision for you, would it be justified? Would whisking away your free-will to achieve a golden age be right? Sin and Virtue have an equal balance, and when one attempts to exceed the other, it will push back. A 𝕯𝖊𝖒𝖔𝖓 will be prophesied to war against the ideals of a God. A battle as old as time itself.

In Equestria the beginning of this battle was forgotten, buried, the ruinous war had faded. The Elements, formed to suppress this evil, had forgotten the sole purpose of their creation. Now, awakened, these 𝕋𝕚𝕥𝕒𝕟𝕤 of Old have returned to make that age anew. Like clockwork, evil had risen to counter it. Out of all the ponies bestowed with the honor to meet one of the legends fighting this battle—Pinkie was the one who found it in her mirror.

Did she get a God of Justice? A 𝕋𝕚𝕥𝕒𝕟 that could alter reality as they saw fit? No—

—She got the wicked one.
