Chapter 13 Finding Velvet Remedy

The drive to the old jazz club seemed long, and winding. They all had their own thought's, and idea's, while traveling through the Equestrian Wasteland's. The empty vast wasteland's seem to go on for miles, as they continued their search. Little Pip immediately had a question flash through her mind, as she turned her attention to Sugarcakes. "Hey wait a minute, how exactly did Baragon, get a hold of a vehicle like this......furthermore why are they in Equestria?" Little Pip asked. Sugarcakes decided to give them an answer, as she replied.

"When Keizer Ghidorah first created Armada City, many vehicles he created were fought with resistance, and ended up destroyed. The old jazz club is also a second trading route where me, mum, and dad would meet with two of her old friend's. They managed to make deal's with those who sell the vehicles on wrecked condition, or near full condition. When father has enough money, he manages to buy them from the troop's, and others to use" Sugarcakes explained, as they continue driving to the old Jazz club.

Their vehicle entered the ruin's of Las Pegasaus. It was clear that most of the building's had been vaporized with a few left standing. They finally found the old Jazz club, and parked the vehicle outside. It was pretty big for an old Jazz club, but who was to complain. They heard a radio crackling of what appeared to be a radio station from the wasteland's. "This is probably it, let's go" Amber sighed, as all of them journeyed inside. The jazz club seemed to have a small stage, and apparently plenty of seat's for them. They all sat down at a large table, looking for Velvet Remedy. A yellow coated stallion saw them, as he slowly walked up to them.

"You all seem like your looking for someone" The Stallion told them, as Sugarcakes noticed him.

"Calamity......you're here.....where have you been?" Sugarcakes asked, as she gave him a small hug. Calamity chuckled at the hug of his friend, before he spoke.

"I've been caught up with our new singer. She's really good at her job, and she's been keeping all of us company. In fact I think she's going to be performing one of her song's tonight" Calamity smiled. Sugarcakes tilted her head to one side, before speaking again.

"This mare wouldn't happen to go by the name of Velvet Remedy, would she?" Sugarcakes asked, as Calamity gave her a surprised look.

"How did you know?" Calamity asked. At this moment Little Pip decided to speak up.

"Hi, my name is Little Pip, I was in the same stables with Velvet Remedy, and I left looking for her" Little Pip told him.

"If that's the case, I can't let you see her if you plan on bringing her back to the stables" Calamity told her, as Little Pip wanted to shout at him, but held her tongue speaking in a calm manner.

"That was my intention when I first left the stables, but now the stakes have changed. I have a very important quest, and a very important mission for us to both go on...... that involves finding the lost Earth Defender's who have disbanded.....and to find our parent's as well" Little Pip explained, as Calamity payed attention to every word she said.

"In that case.....follow me to the back stage room, she's preparing for her singing" Calamity told her, as Little Pip nodded. Calamity led her through some of the tables with other stallions, and mare's enjoying their drink's, and company. Calamity led her to a small star like room, as he knocked on the powder room.

"I'm busy getting dressed, please come back later" Velvet Remedy replied, from the other side of the door. Calamity let out a small chuckle before speaking up.

"Velvet its Calamity......I have a mare who has come here searching for you......goes by the name Little Pip" Calamity told her, as he heard the sound of something getting dropped.

"In a minute Calamity, I'll be right there" Velvet replied, with the sound of rustling of clothes, before opening the door to her powder room, and seeing Little Pip standing next to Calamity.

"VELVET!!!!!!!!!!" Little Pip cried, as she hugged the mare instantly, while Velvet returned the hug. Calamity watched the happy reunion, as he smiled before planning on leaving.

"I'll let you to have your reunion" Calamity told them, as Velvet quickly stopped him, and gave him a soft kiss on the cheek, making Calamity blush.

"Thank you Calamity" She told him in a soft voice, as he tipped his hat toward her.

"Don't mention it" Calamity smiled, before Velvet Remedy, and Little Pip went into the powder room. Velvet was wearing a beautiful black dress with high heel's, and it appeared that she was trying to brush her mane for the show. Velvet turned her attention to Little Pip, before speaking.

"How exactly did you find me?" Velvet asked, as Little Pip spoke.

"I used your Pipbuck, and supplies to leave the Stables. I almost got caught, but I managed to escape" Little Pip told her, as Velvet Remedy sighed.

"What about the Raider's that you came across? Did they try to capture you? I barely escaped from them, but they managed to give me a few shot's......Calamity found me, and brought me here.....h-he tended to my wound's, and managed to give me a good shelter for a few days" Velvet explained, as Little Pip chuckled.

"Well, I got captured by the raider's, along with two shark like being's that left the stables with me. Then I got rescued by a female lizard, met a pony hybrid, stayed with her, and her parents, then came here" Little Pip explained, as Velvet looked surprised.

"Sound's like you've seen a lot of action since you've got here" Velvet chuckled, as Little Pip shared a short laugh with her. Velvst sighed, knowing what she was going to ask of Little Pip, since it was an inevitable question she couldn't pass up. "Little Pip........why did you come all this way just to find me? I can't go back to the Stables, because that life was too much for me" Velvet sighed, as Little Pip nodded.

"I know, but that's not way I came to find you, sure it was my idea in the first place, but now I need your help......." Little Pip told her, before she began explaining the part's of the Great Disaster that she, and her friends had so far gathered. When Velvet learned about some of the events to the Great Disaster, she felt that there could have been more to story. Above that they actually had parent's who could be very much alive which meant that their search, and greater quest had to continue, by going far, and wide. After Little Pip told her everything, Velvet smiled.

"I'll help you Little Pip, and I think it would be best to bring Calamity, it could be helpful for us" Velvet told her, as Little Pip nodded.

"Thank you, now aren't you going to sing your big song?" Little Pip asked, as Velvet nodded.

"Of course. Go out, and take a seat, I'll begin my song shortly" Velvet Remedy smiled, as Little Pip nodded giving her friend one final hug. Little Pip left the powder room, and she went to the table with Blackjack, and the other's. When Blackjack saw her, she gave Little Pip an odd look.

"Guessing by the look on your face, I take it she's in?" Blackjack asked.

"Yeah she's in, and she also asked that we bring Calamity too" Little Pip told him, as Calamity had his heart lift's with excitement.

"DID SHE REALLY MEAN I CAN COME TOO!?!?!?!?!?!?" He asked with excitement as the other's gave him an odd look, while Blackjack, and Little Pup giggled. [color=#e6b91f"N-not t-that it mean's anything......I-I just wanted know" Calamity spoke, doing his best to hide an apparent blush. Little Pip, and Blackjack had another small giggle, before Little Pip replied.

"Yes, yes she did" Little Pip smiled, as she waited for Velvet to start her stage friend song.

Hello Ponies, and Creatures this DJ-Pon3 coming to you live from the Wasteland's where our singer Velvet Remedy will soon begin her big song performance. So in the mean time, let's have some creatures kill our time.......Your on caller The radio stated, before hearing a stallion reply.

Hey DJ-Pon3 I was just calling in to tell you that.............YOOOOOUUUUU SUUUUUUCCCCCCKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The caller said on the line, as the radio pony sighed.

I think it was best that I didn't get a roast there, perhaps I won't take anymore caller's until Velvet's performance start's The stallion said over the radio. What no one inside noticed was a hooded mare quickly installing a small holographic camera into one of the band equipments. At a far away area of the outside, a familiar Warden Gunship began to approach it's target.....weapons at the ready.

A few minutes had passed, before the person on the radio decided to speak again to inform everyone, about to let Velvet sing her song.

Everyone applauded to her song. Wrecka, and Crasher were surprised of the hologram, it looked old, but who installed the projector? This struck them a bit surprised, knowing that this was a bigger clue to find the ponies, and other creatures they were searching for. During the song though when Calamity was on stage, he looked like he was blushing when Velvet Remedy was close to him, in fact other's swore they were about to kiss.

The audience was enraveled, and enjoyed her beautiful singing, applauding for her music. Everyone in the old jazz club was excited, and happy.........for about 5 second's. Without warning a Warden Gunship with the Alien Armada's engraving's on it, trashed through the roof, and began blazing its gun's, killing as many innocents as possible, and trying to kill it's enemies. All of the ponies, screamed, or ran for cover. Calamity managed to act fast, as he leaped Velvet out of the way of the mass gunfire. Amber managed to shoot at the Gunship with her Light Atomic breath, as the Warden barely dodged it.

The Warden traveled higher into the sky, as it began firing missile's at the entire jazz club. Crasher, Wrecka, Blackjack, Amber, Little Pip, Velvet, and Calamity managed to get out of there quickly. The Warden began pursing after them, switching back to its gun's. They needed something......something to keep them on the edge. Amber could only focus on running, unable to constantly shoot at the Warden gunship, while running. She really wasn't that skilled with her light Atomic Breath, and still needed to learn more about it.

Without warning they heard a loud fire, as what appeared to be a small Vulture Droid began firing at the Warden Gunship with small bullet's. The Tryant inside the ship took the fire from the Vulture droid, as she got the pilot's attention. "Light that drone up!!!!!!" The Tyrant snarled, as the Warden turned its attention toward the drone which dodged, and fought the Warden. The drone itself piloted out of the way, as it continued to fire at the Warden, while dodging the massive gun fire, using other buildings to take cover when it attempted to fire missiles.

While the other's were running, a small truck pulled up, with a hooded white mare inside, as she spoke in a sooth voice. "Get in" The mare told them, as they began to drive off. Finally the Warden managed to shoot the Vulture drone down, before pursuing after them. The Warden got close to the truck, and fired its bullet's. The mare drove left, and right to avoid the gunfire, and missiles. A loud clank was heard on top of the Warden Gunship, as the Tyrant heard the sound. She didn't hear much, before continuing to fire.

The Warden Gunship managed to get closer, it's missile launcher ready to fire. "Fire" She snarled. There was a loud explosion that came from the Warden, and not the missile launcher. One of the Warden's thruster's had been hit by an unknown dragon fire, causing the Warden Gunship to spin out control, and the missile to go askew off in the distance, hitting some radioactive pavement below. A gigantic purple, and pink dragon smashed his entire side into the Warden Gunship as it crash landed. The dragon then flew from the Warden, before entering the truck itself. The Dragon gave the hooded mare a smile, as she nodded before driving off into the distance.

Not too far, they came across what appeared to be some small fancy building that was a bit wrecked, but stood out. The mare looked like she was someone rich, and so did the Dragon, as both of them journeyed inside. The stallion guard's in tight suit's personally escorted them inside, as all of them journeyed inside the complex. "Thank you darling, it was nice for you to wait for us" The mare spoke in a fashionista like voice that sounded similar to Velvet's.

"No problem" The stallion guard bowed politely, as both of them came across a butler.

"Butler, please give these people places to sit" The mare told the butler, as he bowed politely.

"Yes ma'am" He told her before pulling up expensive couches, or chairs for the others. They all were about to sit down, when the mare quickly hugged Velvet Remedy holding her tightly, as tear's leaked out of her eyes.

"It's been so long to spend without you darling......but now you've finally come home to us" The mare sniffled, as Velvet had a confused look on her face.

"I-I'm sorry........who are you?" Velvet asked in confusion, as the mare lifted up the small hoodie, revealing herself to Velvet. She quickly replaced the hooded coat, for a small dress, as she smiled. The mare was a white unicorn, with a violet almost blue mane, tied into a big huge bun. She looked at Velvet with a serious look.

"In this form my name is Nightmaid Rarity, or rather Rarity for short........." She told her, taking a long deep breath before speaking
"..........and I'm your mother Velvet" Rarity told her, as Velvet had a shocked look on her face.

From the wreckage of the crashed Warden, The Tyrant emerged from the wreckage as she growled, feeling the burning sting on her face. All of the crew members inside the gunship were dead, and she looked around for a vehicle. The mare found an old dirt bike, not far from here. She snarled in hatred, before starting up the motorcycle, and driving back toward Armada City. One thing was for certain, Keizer Ghidorah was not going to be happy.
