Chapter 16 Hospital of the Dead

The Phantom Blood Bat continued it's journey before, arriving at an abandoned Equestrian Hospital. The inky bat vanished within the building, looking around to play with it's intruder's. The bat scanned the area, until opening a secret area. It could hear whisper's, and voice's calling to it as it journeyed into the secret experiment compartment. Inside was a secret morgue, housed with deceased, and decayed pony corpses, but that wasn't the only prize. Somehow, in someway, inside one compartment was the remain's of an Infecta-Creeper that the Infected King had created in the Lost Kingdom. This specimen was more ancient, and the Black Nanopod was much stronger.

Ponies were using corpses, to experiment with a Black Nanopod.....big mistake, but a treasure for Nightmare Godzilla. The bat heard a clatter, with it's sonar hearing as it journeyed to investigate. In the hospital, three Anthro Pony Raider's were searching for medical supplies. All of them were Unicorn mare's, and together it appeared. "Where are these medical supplies, it help's if those survivor's dropped the medical supplies, while we tear them apart" The sick mare chuckled at that last part, while the other unicorn mare spoke.

"Just shut up, and keep looking, there has to be something for us somewhere" The mare growled, while they continued there search. Nightmare Godzilla was still watching through the bat's eyes, as he didn't see raider's in front of the bat. Instead he saw three physcotic, live Nightmare Unicorn puppet's, who's bodies were ripe for the molding. Silently like a phantom shadow, the bat swooped in as it hovered above all of them. Nightmare Godzilla's power's seeped through the bat, touching it's three target's at once, making the mare's freeze up.

"Imagine yourself........in a blood forest.....feel the pain, the insanity that await's you......feel agony, and murder with me" Nightmare Godzilla spoke in a soft, chilling, and almost kind voice. All of them let out scream's of agony collapsing on their knees. Thousand's of disturbing images flashed through their skull, feeling like a gigantic black liquid, seeping into their mind's. Their mind's were weak, and they were slowly subduing to the pure insanity. Their eyes began to bleed, their pupil's shrinking completely, while turning a shade of black, and blood red. All three of them hissed, now holding bloody baseball bat's, gun's, or knives.

The Blood Phantom bat gave them their new order's, while creating it's own flesh eating version of the Infected, and The Nightmare entites that created Nightmare Moon. The trap's were set, this place was now a real Nightmare, now to sit patiently in the dark empty blackness, of the creepy abandoned hospital.

The drive to their next destination, was very.....very long. They all were eating a very early breakfast in the morning. Some of it was bread, chip's, beef jerky, a few meat, or herb's since most of them were ponies. Some did make a sandwich, while also having granola bar's, and bottled water. It was so early in the morning that the outside seemed almost pitch black. If it weren't for being alert, they would all be sleeping soundly. Little Pip noticed that Sugarcake's was the only creature that ate meat like Velvet's father. It was still hard for them to except this whole Kaiju thing, but she expected to be use to it by now.

This time Rarity was the one driving, while also using magic to eat her breakfast. It was interesting seeing her level of concentration. Blackjack had picked up an assault rifle someone had dropped earlier at Velvet's concert, that she began to use. The weapon itself looked very interesting. It looked like a combination of an M16A4, and a Scorpion machine pistol. It even had what looked like a plasma grenade launcher. Whoever crafted that weapon sure knew how to make it correctly. Blackjack had a warm smile on her face, before pulling out something that Little Pip didn't notice earlier. She was holding a wanted poster of her, while eyeing the price.

"Look's like the Alien Armada really want's you dead" Little Pip chuckled, as Blackjack shook her head.

"No, they posted these poster's when I was working for the Armada......I'm surprised no one has tried to claim the bounty after I went rogue" Blackjack told her.

"Not really, a lot of raider's have tried to make deal's with the Armada, only to get shot in the back, or betrayed" Spike told her, as they felt the half-track bounce up, and down on the road. There was mostly complete silence on the road, as Spike watched Calamity, and Velvet, before speaking up. "So I take it this orange stallion is your boyfriend Crystal?" Spike asked. Immediately a warm blush was on Velvet's cheeks before she spoke.

"DAAAAAADDDDD!!!!!!" Velvet whined, as both her, and Calamity sat there,blushing.

"I'm just messing with ya.....your so easy to tease, just like your mother" Spike chuckled, as both of them sat there, still blushing. After a few minutes of awkward silence, Velvet spotted something from the outside as she shouted for the vehicle to stop. Rarity stopped the entire half-track, as Velvet pointed to what may have been the only hospital around the area.

"This is a chance for us to re-fill on medical supplies......and maybe ammo" Velvet told the other's, as the other's had their weapons, or power's ready.

"Good thinking Crystal.....It may be a small detour, but it's a detour worth checking out" Spike nodded. All of them slowly journeyed inside the abandoned hospital, finding the entire place to be dark, and completely creepy. Velvet, Calamity, Spike, and Rarity looked around to see what they could find. Little Pip, Blackjack, Sugarcakes, and Amber decided to keep watch. Velvet scoured the first room of the hospital, finding very helpful medical supplies, and needles to help properly treat any wounded. She analyzed as much as she could, while even finding a doctor's mask.

"How did you learn to become a doctor my dear daughter?" Rarity asked, as Velvet smiled.

"I was happy in the Stable's before that life became too much for me. I learned field medical school, and I also became a popular singer from my talented voice" Velvet replied, as Rarity gave her daughter an affectionate hug.

"A doctor, and a singer, I'm so proud of you" Rarity whispered, as Velvet embraced the warmth of her mother's hug.

"I'm so glad your finally with me" Velvet smiled, as they took a moment of being with one another before continuing their search. All of them continued looking around, before Velvet found a small black 9mm pistol. The weapon was loaded, and it had some ammo still in it. She also discovered more magazine's of ammo to continue her journey. These were dangerous time's, and it was the only weapon she found. She holstered the pistol correctly, while searching for more medical supplies. Outside, Little Pip had been keeping an eye out with Amber, Sugarcakes, and Blackjack.

Amber began sniffing the air, as she felt something making her scales stand on end. She immediately pulled out her claw's, as Sugarcakes reacted the same way. Little Pip was shocked of how her friend's reacted, as they scanned the black inky darkness. "What is it?" Little Pip asked as, Sugarcakes snarled.

"Were not alone" She hissed, and she was defiently correct. A few blood infected pony corpses, tried to attack them with their claw's as Sugarcakes, and Amber began lighting their enemies up with their powers. Blackjack, and Little Pip pulled out their weapons, as they began to gun down the undead pony hordes. A past memory of these specimens, began to ignite in Blackjack's head. She remembered being sent, and killing these thing's with a friend, before she was devoured by the horde. That memory was her day's when she was a part of the Armada.

Blackjack hissed, as she began gunning down, and slaughtering the pony zombie proto-forms. Sugarcakes continued to slaughter, and kill the proto-form's. More of the beast's began to rain down from wall's, and from the inky darkness as they continued fighting off the horde. Sugarcakes felt her mind crack, as a familiar smile went through her face. Those faces, those demonic faces, she wanted to smile.....a smile to counter their twisted smile's. A loud explosion happened, knocking the Blood Infected corpses back.

Sugarcake had changed almost entirely. She now had a cutie mark on her body, that was in the shape of a heart, with two candy canes. Her mane became Pink, and cream striped, while she had a twisted smile on her face, similar to when Pinkamena was Cupcakes Pinkamena. Her claw's grew, feeling like twin serated knives. "LEEEEEETTT'SSS ALLLL SMIIIIIILLLLLEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!" She squeaked, in a voice like her mother's. She charged in full force, brutally gutting every single creature she came across. Dead bodies, deceased organs, and even zombie pony limb's were just flying all over the place as the hybrid tore them apart.

She even breathed fire at her enemies, and dragged them underneath the dirt, making blood, and limbs spew everywhere. Their was so much adrenaline pumping through Sugarcakes vein's, as she could not stop. She began to spin in a circle, creating a bladenado of claw's, and knives. Blood was spewing, and flying as the other's stood shocked at her actions. Very few of the Blood Infected managed to stay away from Sugarcakes as they headed toward Blackjack, and Little Pip. The two immediately snapped out of their thought's, while fighting a few more of the Infected. Amber had gone to catch up with Sugarcakes, while spraying those Blood Infected with her Light Atomic Breath.

Velvet, Calamity, Spike, and Rarity heard the mass gunfire outside, before more of the blood Infected began to come from another direction into the room. Velvet pulled out her pistol, and began to open fire, while Calamity had a trusty M16 Carbine that fired lethal shot's. Spike used his dragon breath to burn his enemies down, while Rarity used magical orb's generated from her horn to throw many destructive spells at them. They managed to push the Blood Infected backward, the pile of bodies still growing. Blast, after blast, after blast continued, before all of them came to a stop. Blood scorpion's, that were VERY huge began to crawl off the wall, and advance.

They continued to eradicate the pony zombies, and bug's that were doing there best to kill them. Finally new physcotic laughter was heard, as the three corrupted, and soulless raider's came out of the inky black shadow's with psychotic demonic smiles, and armed with sinister blood covered weapon's. "Hello there pretties......we've been waiting so long for you to show.....uuuupppp" The mare sang, while letting out an insane cackle. Velvet had her gun ready, while the corrupted raider pulled out two bloodied baseball bat's. "I'M GONNA BASH YOUR BRAIN'S OUT.......HAHAHAHAHAHA" She laughed, as she charged at Velvet, swinging the bat wildly.

Velvet did her best to avoid the mare, while putting a few round's in her. The Nightmare Magic was helpful, and it made her almost seem invincible. The mare continued swinging the baseball bat's, before hitting her leg. Velvet was knocked to the ground, as the mare swung high from the air. Velvet painfully blocked the blow, while the mare tried to drive the bat's even closer. She began to raise for another strike, but Velvet shot both of her hand's. Velvet let out an angry scream as she shoved the muzzle of the gun into the mare's mouth, and fired 5 time's, until bullet's exploded out of the mare's head.

Disconnected from the Nightmare Realm, the corrupted Raider collapsed to the ground dead. Calamity was having a hard battle dealing with a rage fighting corrupted Raider. He fired his carbine a few times doing his best to keep her away. The mare then cackled, as she stabbed him near the gut, as he screamed in pain. "CALAMITY!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOO!?!?!?!?!?!" Velvet cried, as she grabbed the deceased Nightmare creature's baseball bat, and beat the corrupted Raider to death. The final corrupted Raider had already been burned, and ripped apart by the combined effort of Spike, and Rarity.

Velvet picked Calamity up, as she began to do her best to keep him alive, and still be able to move fast. "Just......*cough* just leave me Velvet" Calamity groaned in pain, as Velvet shook her head.

"NO I'M GETTING YOU OUT OF THIS!!!!!!!!!" She cried, carrying Calamity with her as Rarity, and Spike followed her. They re-grouped with the other's as Blackjack, and Little Pip were still fighting the other's off, while Amber, and Sugarcakes came back.

"LET'S MOVE.....WERE LEAVING, NOW!!!!!!!!!!!" Velvet shouted, as the other's nodded.

"I'll clear us a path" Sugarcakes told her, going back into another bladenado attack, and clearing the place of scorpion's, and Blood Infected. Atomic Breath, Dragon Breath, The Bladenado, and gun's blazed, as the small group did their best to stay alive. They finally reached the outside, quickly getting into the half-track. Blackjack got in the driver's seat, before flooring the vehicle as all of them drove off, escaping into the night. The Phantom Blood Bat spotted them from a window, and began to pursue, but it's master called it back.
