The Grand Galloping Gala. One of the best nights of a pony’s life...at least, that’s what they say. For Confetti, it was just a night like all of the others, the only difference being he was forced into a suit and sent off to go stand in a stuffy room and make small talk with a bunch of uppercrusts he didn’t even know. That’s what he thought originally, but something-or someone, rather- was going to change that.
The tall, fuschia colored earth pony bit back a displeased grunt as his mother’s arm hooked around his as they slowly traveled down the long, long line past Canterlot Castle’s open gates to go greet Princess Celestia. It was one of those times where he wished he had wings or a horn, because waiting a good five minutes before shuffling forward a single step sure was boring. Feeling her elbow bump against his side caused him to notice his slouched posture, straightening himself before cutting her a glance. Quickly looking over his shoulder to make sure the pair behind them weren’t paying attention, he quietly questioned, “And I’m here because?”
Pinkie Pie glared up at her son before sighing and shaking her head. “You’re always such a party pooper, Fetti. I get that the Gala seems unappealing to you, but you gotta learn to live a little! Being cooped up in Sugar Cube Corner all day isn’t the way to do it. Who knows, maybe you’ll have a good time tonight! You can’t knock it until you try it.”
The stallion peered down at her, a slight twinge of guilt flickering in his chest. His mom had done a lot to get him here, and it felt like he was doing her a disservice by letting his grumpy mood try to ruin such a special night. Feeling a seed of hope bloom within him, he gently squeezed her hand, giving her a soft smile. “Ok, ok. I’ll give it a shot. For you.”
The pink mare’s bright eyes sparkled as she beamed back, leaning up to gently nuzzle his cheek. “That’s my boy.” Turning her head, her smile grew wider. “Ooh, look! The line’s moving faster!”
Sure enough, the castle doors had gotten much closer since the last time they checked, and they could see the flowing mane of the ivory alicorn at the end of the hallway. Confetti could feel his heart beat a bit faster, out of a subconscious panic. This was it. No turning back now. Soon they stood in front of the regal figure, who smiled warmly at both of them. "Good evening, Pinkie. Glad you could make it as well, Confetti. Thank you both so much for helping out with the appetizers and desserts. My catering team is very grateful for your assistance."
Pinkie held her hand after shaking it, a little too vigorously. "Not a problem, your Highness! We're always ready to help!"
Celestia quickly readjusted her slipping crown before shifting her gaze to the party planner's son. "I hope you have a wonderful evening, child of laughter." She then lowered her head to whisper into his ear while her dainty grasp found his: "There are buckets under the tables in case you have a little too much."
The youth couldn't help but smile at that, squeezing her hand before letting it go. "I'll keep that in mind. Thank you, your Highness."
She winked at them before gently touching the other mare's shoulder, the signal that it was time for them to go. She still had many guests to greet, after all. The pair followed the group in front of them into the grand ballroom, and the stallion blinked. Wow.
The room was decked to the nines, chains of colorful balloons drifting down from the ceiling, tables cluttered with platters nearly overflowing with food, and the tiled floor looked like a mirror with how it shone and sparkled underneath them. Pinkie whistled. "Wowie! The decorators really went all out this year, huh?"
Confetti chuckled lightly. "Does it have your 'Party Planner Stamp of Approval'?"
His mother snorted. "Well, duh! Obviously." Her eyes then caught onto someone she recognized, wildly waving to get their attention. "Hey, Twilight!"
The lavender alicorn stiffened at her name being called, politely excusing herself from the group of unicorns she was talking to. Weaving through the crowd, she eventually made it to them, albeit a little out of breath. Letting out a sigh, she waved hello. "Hi, Pinkie. Oh, hello, Confetti! Good to see you. Sisters are doing well, I presume?"
He nodded. "Of course, Mrs. Sparkle. And you? I know you're busy around this time of year."
Twilight laughed, wings fluttering before going still. "When am I not busy? Between saving Equestria, running a school and being a mother, I've pretty much have zero free time on my hands. It's stressful, but duty is as duty does, I guess." She looked around the room, as if looking for someone. "Shimmer should be around here somewhere...ah! There she is. I'm surprised she not screaming her lungs out on the stage. Why don't you go talk to her? I'm sure she'd appreciate the company."
Pinkie nodded as she finally unhooked her arm, patting his shoulder. "Yeah! Go have fun. Twi and I will go see if any of our other friends showed up. Don't do anything I wouldn't!" With that, they were gone, leaving him stranded amidst the sea of strangers. He gulped. Slowly the anxiety of being in an unfamiliar place was starting to settle in. And even though he could carry a conversation, it was much harder when being faced with a judgemental, stuck up elite compared to a commoner. And then, far across the room standing by a window, there she was.
Shimmer Dust, daughter of Princess Twilight herself. She was...something, that was for sure. Loud, obnoxious, and not at all a pushover, the apricot colored alicorn with striking blue eyes was everything Confetti saw in a mare-and everything he didn't. The two friends had a pretty big crush on each other, but both were too stubborn to admit it. At least, she was. He was a bit shy when mentioning it to her, mainly because he was worried. A party hat maker with a princess? It was unheard of, and he could practically hear the voices of the sneering Canterlot folk saying that she should be with an official or diplomat, not some 'party pony'.
A passing waiter carrying a tray of glasses filled with bubbly, golden champagne caught his attention, taking two and making the long trek across the floor towards her. His breath hitched upon taking a closer look at her. She looked stunning with her long streaked mane up in a messy bun, makeup bathing her face in a glow and reflecting the moonlight that landed on it, and enrobed in a sparkling silver and royal blue mermaid dress that matched the tiara that sat on her head. With how pretty she looked, the elegance didn't reach her face. She seemed...bored, as if she didn't want to be there. Guess they were in the same boat. Noticing the empty flask in her hand, he cleared his throat before handing a full one towards her. "Here."
Her eyes lit up at the sight of him, smiling brightly. "Hey! I thought I was going to sink into the floor if no one came to save me from this hell hole. Thanks." She took the drink and downed it all at once, putting both glasses on the windowsill. The male couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.
"Hell hole? Isn't the Gala your 'thing' ? And where are the other royals? You'd think at least one of them would be here to represent their parents."
Shimmer rolled her eyes. "It was my thing, when I was younger. When the elites were more interested in how cute I looked or how smart I was, and not wanting to pair me off with their grandson or whatever. As for everyone else, let's see…" She lifted a gloved hand to go down the list using her fingers. "Moonbeam's off helping her mom, Evening's probably banging her bodyguard, Solstice is being a grumpy shut in, Cosmic's getting drunk off of cider back home, and Incandescent is… somewhere. Probably scaring the shit out of a guest who wandered too far into the castle. So yeah, just me. But now your here, so my night isn't awful anymore!"
"Great." Confetti grumbled in his head, though he forced a smile while he lazily sipped at his champagne. "Sounds like fun. Where you want to go? You know this place better than I do."
Just then, the music that played in the background changed, coaxing couples that were nearby into the center of the room. The mare smirked, grabbing his hand and levitating his glass to sit beside the others. "Maybe later. How about a dance first? I'd like to be swept off my hooves."
"You? Dancing? If what I've heard about your mother is true…"
"I've been practicing!" Shimmer hissed, forcing one of his hands against her side and intertwining their fingers with the other. "Now dance with me, you goofball."
Someone's impatient. Maybe the alcohol was starting to kick in. "If you insist," he murmured, spinning her around with the fluidity of a professional. The first few steps were a bit wonky- mainly due to nervousness- but once that fear disappeared, they were both gliding across the floor like swans on a lake. Soon a ring formed around them, and all eyes were on the young princess and the mystery stallion. Pinkie beamed proudly at the sight of her boy wearing a truly content smile on his face as he twirled around with his crush, her grin equally as bright. When the song finally came to an end, they both froze in place, breathing heavily while a wave of applause erupted around them. As if by a trance, their muzzles inched closer and closer until…
Out of a panic, he took a step back, watching the mare's face fall in disappointment. The ring had broken at that point, so hopefully no one had seen the wordless exchange. A few did notice her pull away from him, grab three more flasks and stomp out of the room. Confetti blinked a few times before he realized what had happened. Without a second thought, his legs moved. He had to go after her.
The earth pony found the alicorn standing alone on the balcony three floors up, quietly shutting the door behind him. Shimmer's glasses were strewn on the ground, drained of their contents. A cold wind was blowing, and her feathers were fluffed up to help keep her warm. He took one cautious step forward, calling to her softly. "Shims?"
She didn't bother to turn towards him, but he could hear the weight in her tone as she sighed. "You ruined it," was her soft response.
"I...what?"
Finally glancing back at him, her voice came out louder, more potent. "You. Ruined. It."
He shook his head. "I heard you the first time. But what? What did I do?"
"Stallions." Was the only word that rang through her head as she slowly turned to face him. A frown graced her features. "That moment. It was perfect. We were happy, everyone was looking at us, the time was right...and then you had to back out. Why?"
Oh. Confetti gave her an apologetic look. He rubbed the back of his neck. "Well...I panicked. I wasn't prepared. It felt kinda...rushed, you know?"
Shimmer crossed her arms over her chest, not amused in the slightest. "When is it not going to feel rushed, Fet? I've been trying to ignore it for a long time, but I can't anymore. I like you, Confetti. And I know you like me too. Why can't we just confess it already?"
"I guess we already are." Closing the distance between them, he took ahold of her arms, un-crossing them and holding her hands in his own. Leaning down, his hazel eyes held a playful sparkle. "And it won't feel rushed right about now."
Before another word could come out, his lips crashed onto hers, drowning her in a sudden heat as blood flooded her cheeks in a blush, eyelids drooping before closing completely while one arm reached up to wrap around his neck and pull him closer, causing his hands to grip at her waist and lift her up slightly. Her wings fluttered in bliss. The kiss was hot, it was heavy...it was surprisingly sweet. It would have made her swoon if she wasn't being supported by his strong, warm arms. And just like that, it was over.
They broke away with panting breaths, eyes aglow with a fiery passion as they stared at each other. For the first time in the mare's life, she could feel it. That warmth in her belly, that sweat that leaked from her mane. Her heart racing. She felt...love. Or that she was going to throw up, but love sounds better, damn it.
The stallion's smile was warm as he gingerly rested his hand against her back. "How about another dance, Princess? Or a trip to the bathroom, cause it looks like you may not be able to take more spinning around."
Shimmer almost wanted to wipe that smug grin off with a good punch to his face, but her stomach was complaining too much to allow her that privilege. Her blush burned brighter. "The second option, please."
Five weeks had flown by since that night, and the pair couldn't be happier. After many dates, long sleepless nights, writing messages to each other using a magic journal and sneaking kisses whenever Shimmer came to Sugar Cube Corner to help with making orders for customers, they finally did it. They were officially mare and coltfriend. Of course, they only revealed it to close friends and family for now, since it felt a little too soon to drop it onto the public just yet. Confetti didn't mind that in the slightest, in fact he was pretty happy about it. The less ponies who knew the better, in his opinion.
This morning was busy, and all hands were on deck to help accommodate the business ponies and early birds wanting a sugar rush to jumpstart their systems-or just a coffee and biscuits. The pink stallion was tasked with helping his mother prep dough for donuts and puff pastries, while the alicorn was on dish washing duty, as well as checking on colorful treats that were baking in the ovens. It would have been an easy objective...if Shimmer could stop dropping her damn dish towel.
Every few minutes he would glance over in her direction, only to be met with a mountain of jiggly flesh straining under her boy shorts as she bent over to pick it up. He could only wonder if she was doing it on purpose, for the tent starting to pitch in his pants beneath his apron sure was pleased with it. With an annoyed snort he pushed through, and before they knew it, lunch time was upon them. He sighed in relief, peeling off his gloves, washing his hands and exchanging a few words with his father before heading out the door. A certain someone was waiting for him.
"Hey, cutie~" the mare purred as she fell into stride with him, snuggling into his warmth once he wrapped an arm around her waist.
"Hi to you too, Miss Tease. I saw you back there. Trying to distract me, were you?"
Shimmer's face flushed. "No...maybe…"
Confetti laughed while shaking his head fondly. "Well it was working. Remind me to tell Mom to not put you in charge of washing dishes anymore."
She pouted dramatically. "B-but...who's going to be looking at my ass now?"
"I'm sure you've got plenty of suitors in line waiting to do that. But if you want, we can trade places." He then untangled himself from her, strutting down the path like he was a model on a runway, swaying his wide hips to an imaginary beat. Reaching the end of the sidewalk, he posed against a nearby lamp post, giving her a flirtatious wink. "All that pie from the annual pie eating contest has to go somewhere."
The young princess giggled like she was on laughing gas, playfully hitting him with her tail while she walked past. "Oh, stop it. Let's go get something to eat before Mrs. Angry Pie finds out that we're going to be late."
"After you, my Lady."
The rest of the day went on without a hitch, the stallion keeping to his word and having himself and his marefriend swap work stations once they got back into the kitchen. Shimmer pretended to be salty about it, but she was truly enjoying making small talk with Mrs. Pie in between whipping up bowls of dough. And the occasional tease from Fetti wasn't too bad either.
Soon the shop was closed for the day, and the couple was busy reading books in the comfort of the alicorn's bedroom. Well, 'busy' is a loose term. It was more like reading a few lines on a page, look up to find the other staring at them, then blush and go back to their book. It sure didn't help that the teasing from earlier was further fueling the burning in their cores, more so the princess than the commoner. Finally she had enough and dropped her book onto the bed, slid off of it and crawled over to where he sat on the floor, tossing his aside and planting a firm one on his lips.
He instantly curled into her touch, humming softly while his fingers kneaded into her soft cheeks, coaxing a low moan from her occupied muzzle as he tugged at the dock of her tail, which thrashed restlessly in his grasp. He didn't mind her gropes and grabs, but it was when she started to pull at the buttons on his shirt did he yank his head back, giving her a startled look. "Hey, easy now."
Shimmer wasn't pleased with the interruption, straddling his hips. "Oh no. Don't you start backing out on me, Mister. We've gotten this far, might as well see it through."
Confetti lightly pressed his hand against the top of her chest and pushed at it, forcing her shorter arms to keep their distance while he held her back. "Think about it, Shims. Is this us giving into our hormones or are we going to do this properly? Cause I'm not doing anything without knowing that we're both ok with it. And that we know what the risks are."
The mare's feathers ruffled in frustration, but she sighed in defeat. He was right, for once. "Ok, ok. I'm willing to do this with you. And, no, I'm not on my Heat. Yes, I've been tested and yes, I know what the consequences can be. Are you happy now?"
"Very." His ears slicked back while he surged forward to latch onto her mouth again, pressing against her until they switched positions, with him hovering over her frame and her back on the smooth floor, legs still wrapped around his barrel. He allowed her to pull his shirt off, leaving it where it lay while he worked on hers, nipping at her exposed collar bone once it was over her head. In a blink of an eye, the rest of their clothes were gone as well, glancing up to find her smiling smugly while her horn dimmed.
"You were taking too long," she murmured with a shrug, eyes dancing with an excited glow.
Instead of answering, the stallion's eyelids dipped while he grabbed her by the waist, picking her up and dropping her onto the bed in one swift movement. Shimmer shivered when a thumb slowly slid down her puffy slit, which was dripping furiously. Her shut eyes opened when she heard a rip, gaze drifting down to the rock hard cock in his hand as he rolled a lubed condom over it. Sweet Celestia. It wasn't the baseball bat sized monster with the thickness of a soda can that she pictured in her fantasies, but it was still pretty impressive for his height. She bit her lower lip in anticipation. The large pink head was already releasing beads of pre as he let it go, taking hold of both ankles before resting her legs onto his shoulders, leaning over to kiss the tip of her nose. "Ready, Princess?"
"More than ever." The first push nearly made her scream, and it took a lot of willpower to keep her noise levels down to a minimum. She thanked the heavens that neither of her parents were home, and that she soundproofed the room beforehand, but a part of her still felt a bit paranoid. Her fears slowly came to rest when Confetti started moving once he sensed that she was alright, moaning blissfully and whispering sweet little musings into her ears while his gentle caress roamed over every inch of her skin that he could reach. It was wonderful.
The mare's moonlight kissed fur bristled when she felt him slow to a halt, one curious eye peeping open to give him a look. "Why'd you stop?"
The earth pony merely hummed, smiling a smile that would have made her heart skip a beat if it wasn't pounding so fast. "I'm looking at you. You're so beautiful like this. You're always beautiful."
"I...thank you. I love you, Fetti."
"Love you too, Sunshine. And I won't stop anytime soon. Now, where were we?"
Before she could get a word out, his hips roughly slammed against her thighs, hot shaft piercing her depths even harder than before. And there was the scream. Every nerve within the alicorn fired at once, sending a full body tremble to course through her, not stopping as his speed picked up. Now this was more like it. She couldn't hold her cries and shouts in any longer, each one bouncing off the walls to reach her ears again, turning her on more as the seconds passed. Her fingers gripped his curly mop of a mane, pulling him into another passion fueled kiss, almost as intense as the first one that they shared. Whatever she was feeling right now, she wanted to share it with him, bodies rocking back and forth while their union point grew wetter and slicker, fluids flying with every lewd slap.
Shimmer was ready to burst when the male did something that made her tense out of shock: he stopped again. The feverish groan that passed through her lips was desperate. "D-damn it, Fett! Again? What now?"
His response sent stronger shivers down her spine. "Last time, I-mph- I promise. I want...I want you to cum with me. Just this once."
The look in his eyes was genuine-filled with love and adoration, and of course she couldn't say no after how good he was making her feel. With a flap of her stiff wings, she nodded once, voice soft. "Ok. Go for it."
Seeing his heart-stopping grin again, she braced herself for another onslaught of hard, fast thrusts, but they didn't come. Instead, he switched back to the slow, steady pumps that he started with, and somehow they were even more mind shattering than the first set, scraping past her abused walls to release another pool of her liquid heat.
With a sudden brush to her engorged, winking clit, she let loose, head falling back as all of her energy went into riding the rocket to get to that bliss, that high. That pleasure. A tired smirk pulled the corners of her mouth when she felt the condom deep inside her balloon and fill with hot seed, his tip fully flared while it spewed its load. His sweaty coat rubbed against hers once he fell on top of her, lips meeting in one final kiss before they broke apart for good, Confetti pulling free from her leaking confines when he became soft enough. Air barely entered their lungs as they lay side by side, staring blankly at the ceiling. Finally, after minutes of peaceful, content silence, Shimmer spoke.
"I missed you."
Her coltfriend turned his head to look at her, confused. "What do you mean?"
She rolled onto her side, tired yet bright eyes drinking him in. "We've been apart for so long before...you know...I guess I forgot how it felt to be with you again. To see you smile. To be myself with you. It makes me...happy."
The stallion lit up like a light, tenderly pulling her close to hold her in his arms. "You make me happy too, Shimmer." His nose bumped against her damp shoulder, breathing in her sweet scent. "Hey, question."
"Shoot."
"Can we...do this again sometime? If you're down for it, that is."
The mare shook her head, curling into his warm chest with a light laugh. Straight to the point, he was. She liked that. "Sure, you goofball. Love you."
"Love you too. Sweet dreams, my Princess."
