My Life with Twilight: A New Beginning
Chapter 1: Welp...fuck me...
[Chris' P.O.V.]
I rubbed the sleep from my eyes as the early morning sun streamed through my bedroom window, illuminating my room. The remnants of last night's party still lingered in my mind. "Fuck me...I shouldn't have drank so much last night..." I said, groaning as I sat up on the edge of my bed. I was about to get up, but before I could move, a loud popping noise came from my living room downstairs. "What the fuck was that?!" I exclaimed, jumping a bit. I rushed downstairs to investigate the noise. However, what greeted me when I stepped into the living room was far more than anything I could have ever imagined.
There, standing in the center of my living room, surrounded by a shimmering aura of purple magic, was none other than Twilight Sparkle. The beloved princess of Equestria stood majestically, her violet eyes wide with an expression that mirrored my own astonishment.
I blinked in disbelief, half-expecting this to be some elaborate dream, or ill effects of last night drinking. “What?” I murmured, bewilderment lacing my voice, my breath heavy and my heart pounded.
Twilight perked up her ears, her long, ethereal mane dancing gently in the air as if stirred by an unseen breeze. “Oh! I—” She paused, glancing around the unfamiliar environment, her brows furrowing with concern. “Wh-where am I?”
I absorbed her words, her voice. Feelings of excitement and confusion swirled within me. There was a talking pony that had appeared out of no where, a talking pony that I grew up watching in a show targeted towards girls no less! Something you would only see in a fantasy/isekai story. Now said pony was standing before me, flesh and magic bursting with life.
“Y-you're in my house...” I said, my voice low and near a murmur.
Twilight's eyes widened, frantically looking around. Tears began to well in her eyes. “No! No, this can't be happening!" Her voice breathy and also frantic. "For over two thousand years, I have been working on this spell!” she said, her voice shaky and filled with disbelief. “Nothing should have went wrong! The portal was stable, my notes were perfect...so why?!" She exclaimed, her voice slightly breaking as more tears flowed from her eyes. "This isn't in Equestria...this isn't where I was trying to go!" She said, her voice cracking once more. "Starlight Glimmer warned me about this—yet still...I didn't listen...I failed..." Her voice, almost a whisper, squeaks out those last two words.
As Twilight paced the room, I felt a pang of guilt for her current situation. I was starting feel unexpected connection to her, as if I were in her "shoes". I couldn’t just let her suffer through this alone, so I decided to act. "Hey, hey, hey...don't beat yourself up!" I tried to comfort her. "Tell me, where was it you were trying to go?" I asked, squatting down to be at eye level, in an attempt to be her equal in this.
Twilight sniffed and looked me in the eye; explaining that she had been studying a spell that would allow her to travel through time and space, but something had gone wrong, and she had ended up in my living room instead of her intended destination. She was attempting to go back in time to see her friends one more time before retiring her role as ruler of the kingdom, allowing her student, Luster Dawn, to take over as she felt that Luster was finally ready to take up the mantle.
I sighed heavily, kneeling on the ground with my hands on my lap. “Okay...what if I helped you search for a way back?" I asked, causing Twilight to look at me with surprise. "We can sit down and retrace your steps, and maybe, just maybe, we can find something that could bring you back." I suggested softly, gesturing to couch behind me. "Though, first thing's first..." I paused, as I inhaled and exhaled. "I think introductions are in order?" I said, smiling. "I mean it's not everyday that a purple winged unicorn just appears in one's living room randomly." I slightly deadpanned.
Twilight paused, her eyes widen, cheeks turning a slight red. “Oh...right...” She chuckles sheepishly. "I'm Twilight Sparkle, and I'm an Alicorn, not a winged unicorn, though that is a valid descriptor." She said, sadness still in her voice, but more calm this time.
“Good to meet you, Twilight! The name's Chris!” I said, smiling further. 'I can't let on that I know who she is, it might scare her enough to make her run away.' 'I mentally shook my head. If the government finds her...eugh...I don't even wanna think what could happen!'
A warm smile broke across her face, lifting the mood a bit. She sighed, frowning again. "To be honest, I was too deep in my own head and didn't listen to my friend's warning..." She trailed, staring off in the distance. "If I had listened and—" her voice hitched.
I took this as a sign of it being too much for her and tried to change the subject a little. "Well hey! At least you got lucky that you appeared in my living room!" I said, chuckling at the situation.
Twilight looked at me, head tilting quizzically. "What do you mean?" She asked, sniffling. Her body shifted in a more comfortable position as she relaxed a bit.
I looked around the room, unsure if I should go into full detail—or just leave it to the basics. "Well..." I started, deciding to just go for the basic explanation. "You see, I too, am a bit of a dabbler in the arts." I say trying to explain it in a simplified manner. "I am the only—to my knowledge—human to be able to actually use magic!" I pose in a bit of a stoic position. "I am well-versed in Storm Magic." I smile, looking to her.
Twilight's eyes widened. "Storm Magic?!" She exclaims. "That's a VERY rare type of arcane manifestation!" Her eyes almost pop out of their sockets.
I chuckle. "Well...the only two things I can do is emotionally making it rain or thunder storm...and...call upon 'him'" I say disdainfully.
Twilight once again tilts her head. "Him? Who's 'him', and why does it sound like you don't like him?" She asks, her wings shift in concern.
I weigh my options. 'Well, telling her that I can summon Zeus' powers for a limited time will take more explanation than I have time for...I guess I could tell her a small portion and...ugh...show her.' I thought, a bad taste forming in my mouth by thinking about summoning that prick. While in thought, I hear a muffled crash of thunder in the distance. I close my eyes tight at the decision I am going to make. "Alright." I sighed. "This is going to sound strange so bare with me here," I take a deep breath. "There is this ancient god known as Zeus, and for some unknowable and unholy reason, I have been gifted the ability to not only control storms with my emotions, but also summon Zeus and will that he allows me a timed "power up" that allows me to use his abilities at my own discretion." I say, almost too fast to understand.
Luckily, however, Twilight nods and smiles at me, eyes wide at the implications. "Would you be able to show me?!" She says in a voice so quizzical it sounded manic.
I roll my eyes. "Very well, Twilight. But we have to go in my backyard and it involves a...lyrical incantation." I groan out the last part.
Twilight eyes lit up like a fucking Christmas tree and she gasped. "A song?!" She very loudly and FAR too happily said. I groan again and nod. "This is going to be fun!" She exclaimed once again.
"Let's not have this become a 'thing' okay? Let's just go and get it over with already!" I say in a huff. "I can't stand that smug bastard as it is." I grunt as I walk towards the door.
Twilight smiles and rolls her eyes. "It's not going to be a 'thing', okay? I am just excited to see a human do magic!" She said giggling.
I smile too and opened the door. "Alrighty then. Let's do this." I said as I walked into the center of my backyard. I close my eyes and summon my mana to envelop my entire being.
I took a deep breath, and began the incantation.
"Pride is a damsel in distress
Hiding away where only I can undress her
Try all she can not to confess
In the end, it's all the same once I apply all the pressure
Thunder, bring her through the wringer
Show her I'm the judgment call
The one who makes her kingdom fall
Lightning, wield her, use and yield her
Show her what she can't conceal
For true nature will be revealed!
I wonder who'd take the weight of the damned
And suffer a gruesome fate to the
Thunder bringer, here to ring your
Ears until you're deaf with fear
And spear you while your death is near
Lightning wielder, here to yield your
Time, for you have passed your prime
Sublime you for your act of crime!"
BOOM! CRACK!
It felt as though the very air had become charged with Godly energy. The sky lit up with lightning striking the clouds one by one, finally focusing on a central, gigantic cloud. A spark of lightning shattered the sky, and what appeared to be a massive face shown in the clouds from the instantaneous light the bolt had cast.
After a final crack of lightning split the clouds in two and a thunderous boom lashed out across the heavens, a giant figure emerged from the clouds. This mountainous figure is all but visible to other mortals aside from me and Twilight. He looked down with a smug grin on his face, his gaze landed on Twilight.
"Oi! Zeus! Over here ya prick!" I called to him, blocking his view of Twi. His eyes lazily turn to me. "I need your power again, but I want it for a few months while I try to get my friend back home!" I call once more.
Zeus scoffs. "You mortals are always asking for the gods' help when you need it! Figure it out yourse—AHH!" A pained shout came as soon as he denied my request, a red symbol that looked like a snake with a spike through it started to pulse a hellish red-orange.
I scoffed myself as I looked up to him with a neutral stare. "You know you aren't allowed to say no, we're bound by the universe...unfortunately." I yelled to him, rolling my eyes. "Hell, everyone knows you deserve it, you womanizing prick!" I said as my anger caused an abnormally strong surge of mana feedback to shoot at Zeus like a wave.
Once the surge reached Zeus, he seemed to freeze where he stood and his eyes started to go white. He tried to scream or say something but only a croak flitted out of his voice.
"The fu—ACK!" I yelled, my mana tightly wrapping itself around me, my eyes going white as well. A high pitched hum manifested in my ears as the very fabric of the Ether twisted around me. I tried to call to Twilight, but I only managed a choked grunt. My eyes grew wide as I felt the Ether pulling Zeus' mana towards me. After a few seconds the Ether shifted from the mana to the god, pulling him towards me.
The god shrunk down to human size as he was seized out of the sky, still frozen in a shocked expression. Zeus started to become less opaque and reality around him begun to warp, like a black hole. The white glow our eyes produced also became brighter as Zeus was pulled into me. The world looked as though it was spinning inside-out, and then darkness.
[Twilight's P.O.V]
Time seemed to stop when Zeus and Chris seemed to merge, a massive bolt of lightning struck them as the glow of their eyes grew brighter. After the flash of the lightning I saw only one person; Chris. The storm seeming to vanish as quickly as it started. "Chris!" I called to him. Galloping over to him, and sliding on my hooves to stop at his body. "Oh no! Please! Don't be dead! I'm sorry I had you do this!" I cried, tears welling up in my head. I bent down and put my ear up to his mouth, listening for any signs of life. Thankfully there was a shallow gust of air that came from his lips. "Oh, thank Celestia!" I breathed in relief. My heart was pounding from what happened not but a few minutes ago. 'Okay, Twilight, think!' I looked around to judge how far the house was from the yard. 'Alright...I just need to lift him up and lay him on the couch and then....' I honestly didn't know what to do afterwards, but a start to a plan was still a plan, so I lit my horn and tried to lift him.
fizzle
...wat?
I blinked a few times. I lit my horn once more and tried to lift.
fizzle
I try again.
fizzle
"Welp...fuck me..." I deadpanned.

My Life with Twilight: A New Beginning
Chapter 2: A new god awakens
[Twilight's P.O.V. Continued]
Frustration boiled inside me as I tried once more to lift Chris with my magic, only for the same sparkly fizzle to greet me. What was going on? Why couldn't I lift him? My magic was strong enough to move entire objects, even teleport things across Equestria. Why couldn’t I lift a human? I bit my lip and tried to calm myself, my eyes darting around the yard. The house was too far away for me to carry him with just my hooves, and I was still in a state of shock after what just happened with Zeus.
I breathed deeply, my horn glowing again, and this time I tried to focus more. “Come on, Twilight,” I muttered to myself, gritting my teeth. “You’ve lifted heavier things before.” I closed my eyes and focused on the weight of Chris’s body, hoping that this time, it would work.
A small flicker of magic surged from my horn, but again, it fizzled and sputtered. My eyes snapped open, panic creeping into my chest. Something wasn’t right. I had to do something—anything.
Suddenly, an idea sparked in my mind. I had read about this—magical burnout. When magic users overexerted themselves, or when an insanely intense arcane burst occurs, their ability to use magic could become temporarily weakened, sometimes to the point where they couldn’t lift a feather. I thought back to the intense surge of mana I’d felt when Chris summoned Zeus. The magic in that moment had been so powerful, so overwhelming, that it had probably drained me completely.
Thinking long and hard, it hit me like a brick—there was no way I could move him on my own.
I took another step back and bit my lip, trying to think of another solution. I couldn’t let him just stay here. He was still breathing, but I still had no idea what the consequences of that ritual would be. If he had merged with a god, there could be lasting, potentially fatal, effects thereafter. I had to find a way to get him some help. Maybe there was some sort of—wait.
I froze. My ears perked up.
I hadn’t seen it before, but in the corner of my vision, I caught a glimpse of something glimmering on the ground.
'Chris’s phone!' I thought, a little more hopeful.
It was lying in the grass, probably having fallen out of his pocket when the storm erupted. Maybe it could help. I staggered over to it, feeling a little more hopeful. Grabbing it with my hooves, I flicked the screen on, trying to find something that could help. I didn't know if any of this technology would work with my hooves, but I had to try. Luckily, after a few clumsy attempts, I managed to unlock it. "Okay... now what?" I muttered, scrolling through the screen as fast as I could. I was no tech expert, but I remembered the contacts app. Maybe someone on here could help.
Before I could scroll through the list, I heard a faint groan from Chris. My heart leapt. “Chris!” I galloped back to him, my eyes wide. “Chris, are you alright?!” I asked, trying to sound as calm as possible, though I don't think it was convincing.
He shifted slightly, his face grimacing. Slowly, his eyes opened, and he blinked up at me, confusion overtaking his expression.
“Twilight?” he rasped, his voice sounding strained. “What happened...?”
I sighed in relief, but it was short-lived. “You...merged with Zeus,” I explained quickly, trying not to overwhelm him. “I tried to lift you, but...” I trailed off, my voice faltering.
His eyes narrowed as he attempted to sit up. “Merged with Zeus...?” he mumbled, shaking his head as though trying to process what had just happened.
“Yeah,” I said, my voice thick with worry. “You, uh, summoned him, and then you... I don’t know, but it was like he became part of you.”
A long silence fell between us. Chris didn’t seem to know what to make of it. I didn’t either. The world seemed to have turned upside down in just a few moments. My head spun as I wondered how things had gotten this out of control so quickly.
“Well, this is... new,” Chris finally said, looking to his hands which sparked with golden lightning. “Guess I should’ve been more careful with that storm magic...” He said, groaning.
I couldn't help but let out a small laugh at his attempt to make light of the situation. Still, I couldn’t ignore the serious undertones of what had just happened. Whatever had occurred, something about it didn’t sit right.
“You need rest,” I said firmly, though I wasn’t sure I had the authority to say so. “You need to be careful. The magic—Zeus—it could have done more damage than we realize.”
Chris nodded, though his face looked pale, and I could tell he was still weak.
“Well, I’m not going anywhere, at least not for now,” he muttered, his confidence faltering. “Let’s just...figure out how to get me back to normal, huh?”
The tone was light, but I could hear the underlying worry in his voice. I couldn’t blame him. Honestly, If I had fully merged with a god, I’d be freaking out too.
I sighed, looking around the yard once more. 'There has to be something we could do.' I thought as I pace back and forth. 'So...I can't use my magic due to the burnout...' I strain my mind, trying to think of anything I could do to help. I looked at him, a small smile donned my lips. "Let's just start with step on...literally...it's cold out here." I jokingly deadpanned, getting a small laugh out of him.
He looked at me with a smile in his face. "Alright, I will admit...as weak as I'm feeling, I could probably do with the heater in the house!" He said as he chuckled once through his nose. I smiled back, gesturing to the house with my head. "Me, too! Honestly, I think we both need some rest after...all of that!" I said, letting a small giggle out at the end.
After awhile I managed to finally get him up, letting him use my back as leverage to push himself up. "One step at a time" He said in a low, tired voice.
[Chris' P.O.V] ~ A few hours later
After waking up two or three hours after the "incident", I almost forgot what happened. The reason being is that I felt...stronger, lighter, and I felt GREAT! Too great. Something wasn't right...It felt off, almost as if—"Oh, shit..." I say aloud, my eyes wide. For some reason I was compelled to look at my arm...and right where Zeus' mark had been...was now a golden snake with a spike cracked in two...this "tattoo" that marked us tethered was now a "tattoo" that marked us merged! I slumped back down on my bed, my thoughts raging in my mind. After a few minutes of raging thoughts; a single, terrifying thought crashed through the rest. A thought that, not only made sense, I'd have to deal with until this is fixed. But before I could relay that thought to myself fast enough to react...I heard...him.
{Well, well, well...Looks like you're not yet rid of me...mortal.} Said the all too smug, over-confident, annoying voice of the King of Gods.
I let out an exasperated groan. "Fuck me, dude, do you EVER go away?!" I whisper loudly, trying not to alarm the possibly still sleeping Twilight downstairs.
{Haha ha! Two things you must remember mortal! One; I am not "dude" to you, I am God King Zeus, or just Zeus if you must! Two; No! Hahahaha ha!} He said in his booming, "god voice" trying to be imposing. It didn't work, it just annoyed me further.
I smirked after a bit of self-thought. "Heh...well dude, you're in my body, in my head!" I said quitely, rising annoyance and anger swelling within me. "If you think you're in control here, you're poorly mistaken, you overzealous, rape-y, piece of shit of an "all-powerful" being who doesn't even own a fucking body!" I almost yelled the last part. As I finished my sentence, a spark of lightning fired out from my body producing a loud CRACK.
I blink a few times, eyes wide. "Uhh...Zeus...the FUCK?!" I said loudly, looking around the room. I immediately notice a burn mark on the wall by the door where the spark whipped the wall.
{You have much to learn...demi-god.} He said dramatically.
My breath caught in my throat. "Demi..." Before I could even finish that sentence, a heard galloping coming up the stairs followed by my door being yeeted open at full force by a stressed out alicorn.
"Chris! You okay?!" Twi said, worry laced through her entire being. She was breathing heavily due to me, presumably anyway, waking her up from the loud ass crack the spark made just a few seconds ago.
[Twilight's P.O.V]
He looked at me with a shocked expression. "Uhh, Yeah Twi...I'm fine!" He said, feigning a smile and rubbing the back of his head. "I just thought I would see if I had any of his powers...didn't really know if the request took or not." He said, trying to be as ignorant to the situation as possible.
"Chris...do not lie to me!" I say, eyeing him with annoyance. "I heard you talking to yourself...or should I say to Zeus!" I say accusingly. "Why would you try to hide that?!" I said loudly, almost yelling. "You hate the guy!" I stomped my hoof in emphasis.
"He called me something I NEVER would have imagined I would...or even could become!" He retorted, raising his hand and pointing to a strange mark on his arm. "He called me Demi-god! You know what that means? What this mark means?" He said, exhaustion from the situation bleeding into his tone.
I shook my head. "No, I've never even seen that kind of mark before." I respond, leaning in to look at it better. Seeing it closer, it resembled the same mark that Zeus had on his arm.
He stood up from his bed and went to his closet. "I can't stand looking at it, I'm changing shirts!" He huffed, grabbing a dark green long sleeve shirt from the closet. Taking off his shirt and tossing it aside, he groaned and shook his head. "This is fucking stupid! I can't believe that I'm stuck with this piece of horse shit—uh, no offence Twi..." He said dejectedly, walking back to his bed and slumping back down on it. He hung his head and stared at the floor, a low sigh coming from his nose.
I looked to him with a look of concerned understanding. "Look, Chris..." I started. He put his hand up, stopping me. As he did, he shook his head, a dark expression lay on his face.
"Don't try to cheer me up Twi, I just can't do it right now." He almost whispered, yet his words echoed on the walls and there was a low rumble of thunder in the background. Feeling the tension rise, I decided to leave him to his devices while keeping an ear out for anything that could pose problematic while I'm not in the room. As I turn to trot out, however, I hear him speak a little louder. "Thanks, though Twi...I really do appreciate the sentiment..." He trailed somberly. I just nodded and walked out of the room and closed the door behind me.
[Chris' P.O.V]
After Twilight left, I sighed. "Okay...what do you mean I'm a demi-god?" I question the god through my teeth.
