Chapter I :Final....rest ?
Dying is not a pleasant thing, especially when death is caused by half a dozen obsidian bolts, but I don't care ... A smile crossed my face as I took with difficulty my last breaths of air, leaning on the still hot corpse of one of the soldiers of Xateas who have tried to take the port. Fighting to keep my eyes open just a little more, I watched with joy and relief as the last ship disappeared on the horizon, knowing that the people I love most in the world were safe and going to a better place. With these pleasant feelings in my heart, I let the darkness embrace me and take me to whatever there is after the end of life.
The birds sang and the sun warmed my skin, but that was not possible ... Little by little, my mind began to take the drowsiness off me while trying to understand how it could be that I was feeling things around me if I was dead.It is impossible that I survived my wounds .I am in the afterlife? , I thought to myself. I slowly opened my eyes, adapting to the light of my surroundings. I tried to move my hands to try to cover the sunlight and to my confusion, my hands were not where they should. Flashing a couple more times to clarify my vision, I focused my eyes on what was in front of me. A pair of hooves of lapis lazuli color. My mind was trying to process what my eyes were seeing, without much success. I tried to move one of the hooves back and forth, and the strange limb responded to my orders perfectly. In a stroke of initiative and stupidity I raised my left limb and lowered it as fast as I could against the other.
Turning my head back I saw that the changes in my physiognomy were total. A layer of fur of the same color as my hooves covered my small quadruped body, as I deduced when I saw that my legs were now the same length as what my arms used to be and also ended in hooves. Behind the legs was what looked like a single tail, short and with a lot of hair, very different from the three fleshy and pink tails I had before. But the most unusual of all and what caught my attention were a new pair of limbs that were born on my back. They were two bird wings, the same color as the rest of my body except for some feather with golden and white colors.
After a few attempts I managed to discover what new muscles I had to move to open the wings. To my surprise, they were strangely small in relation to the rest of my body.It is impossible to fly with this, I thought a little sadly, concluding that the wings were vestigial extremities of the species that I had become for some reason. Completing the body exam, I tried to find out where I was looking around. I was in at the entrance of a forest, with the trees behind me and in front of me a small stream of clear water that I had not noticed before. Beyond there was a green hill that didn't let me see further. Looking up I saw a blue sky with a few clouds moving slowly, sometimes covering a yellow sun as they passed. This confirmed my suspicions. It was not in Heaven that promised my mother's religion and neither in that of my father's beliefs, I was one hundred percent sure that I was in a world other than Sepharad, seeing how the sun was of another color and much smaller .
Realizing that it was time to start up, I tried to stand up with my four legs. One by one I put my firm hooves on the ground, lifting my weight with my legs. I was already standing, now the hard part, figuring out how to walk with 4 legs instead of two. Deciding to imitate the quadruped animals of my world I advanced the right front leg, followed shortly thereafter by the left rear. Little by little and with more difficulty than I would like to admit I was moving towards the creek, not without falling a couple of times, dirtying my fur with mud and grass while releasing a few curses.
I leaned my head towards the water to see my reflection, finally getting a complete view of my body. In the creek I saw a creature with blue fur with gold freckles all over the face and a reddish copper mane, curly and tangled in a bad way. A pair of blue ears on the head of the being moved from side to side following the quiet sounds of the forest. But what made my mouth open in surprise were the two huge emerald eyes that occupied most of my face Never in my life had I seen a creature with such disproportionately huge eyes, but I had never been in another world, so I moved my shoulders in resignation and looked up from the water. I crossed the creek through a shallow place a couple of meters by my side getting wet in the process and continued on towards the hill to have a better view of my surroundings from the top.
While walking I ran my tongue through my teeth, realizing that they were those of a herbivorous animal, flat and short. To check if I was right I took a bite of a particularly green weed grass at the base of the hill and for my surprise, it tasted pretty good. And thanks to EnYaume that i had food on hand, or a hoof, because the climb was much longer and harder than i had anticipated. After what seemed like an hour of slopes, small bites of grass and many more falls and curses I reached the top of the hill. I collapsed on the ground to catch my breath, exhausted after the great effort made to climb. To anyone's surprise, I didn't know how to use this body efficiently. To my relief, there were signs of civilization in front of me.
A village not much larger than my hometown stood at the foot of the hill, surrounded by a deep and dark forest on one side and fields of crops on the other. I also saw a huge tree of unnatural color with what I would swear was a castle built in it. Forcing my sight I saw the natives and for even more relief they were creatures of a species similar to mine. Die lynched by a crowd for being an abomination removed from the list of horrible things that can happen to me , I thought with a little smile. The city was quiet and pleasant, like everything I had seen in this world so far, so I decided to go down the hill to build relationships with the natives.
Walking along the cobbled streets and flanked by wooden houses of at most two floors and beautiful colors I watched the natives who trotted through the streets. To my surprise all the creatures were bigger than me and most had no wings. Some even had a horn in the middle of their foreheads that somehow shone in an aura of color and moved objects in the air at will in a way that i could only describe as… ..magic.I banish that stupid thought off my mind, magic was just a children's story, it must be some kind of gravitational device or psychic power. But what intrigued me most was the color palette. It was infinite! There were creatures with fur of every imaginable color and hair of various colors that seemed to be natural. The more I saw the more it hurt my head trying to apply what I knew about animal biology in these creatures until suddenly something collided with me, making me jump from the surprise while stirring all my limbs. I always react to surprises like that, for the enjoyment of my prankers sisters.
Falling to the ground with my face I let out a grunt of pain and tried to get up as fast as I could, crashing my face against the ground again, getting up to the second and taking a defensive position. In front of me a creature watched me with a small smile of apology, or with a murderous face, I don't know if we share meanings as far as facial expressions are concerned. The creature used the…. Aura of his horn to take off his glasses and spoke to me in a calm and interrogative tone ... but I didn't understand a word. I'm stupid, as it hadn't occurred to me before! I am in another world to know in what distant place of the universe or even of another universe, of course I do not understand the native language, fucking dumb bastard!. Seeing my confused face, the creature spoke to me again with a tone and facial expression that can only translate as concern , with the same result as before. Desperate, I spoke to him in my language in case by some remote chance of destiny the creature understood me. Seeing that now who had the face of confusion was the creature I tried with another language, and with another and with another, only managing to increase the face of confusion and concern of the creature. I was seriously screwed .
From behind him another native without horn or wings and what i could only describe as a kind of pink bow tie around the neck approached us and taking a small look, he said something to the being of the horn.The two exchanged a few words and began to look around, as if they were looking for something. Little by little, more creatures came closer, talking to each other. Before I knew it, I was surrounded. Fuck, I think my luck is over.
Before I could do anything, a reddish aura had surrounded me and to my misfortune lifted in the air. I try to get rid of the grip of the strange light, shaking legs and wings wildly as I screamed demanding that I be released in Xatian, the language I use use when I want to make as much noise as possible. The light left me in the rump of the creature that had collided with me and without releasing its grip began to walk next to that of the bow tie towards a white building with a red symbol above the door.
I cursed on more time , expecting the worst while the three of us enter the building.

Chapter II: Revelations
The nurse sighed boredly, resting her head on one hoof as she turned the pages of a magazine she had already read hundreds of times with the other. Today there wasn't much to do in the pediatric section. It was the time of the year with fewer patients, between the season of fillies and colts with scratches and small breaks for playing carelessly during the summer and gut pains for eating too many sweets in NightmerNight. "Good morning, RedHeart," Octavia said with her particular accent. "You're right, a few minutes ago Vinyl met this little girl wandering the streets. And it seems that she does not speak Equestrian ”
“ Are you sure she is not teasing you? ”RedHeart asked questioningly while raising an eyebrow.
"Yes," Vinyl said as she left the little girl on the floor seeing that now the pegasus was much calmer. RedHeart nodded and approached her, lowering her head to her level. "Hi, I'm Nurse RedHeart, what Is your name? "she asked sweetly. The little girl said nothing, without reacting to what she asked." Do you understand what I am saying?"asked the nurse again, obtaining the same result. Before the nurse will conclude that the little girl was deaf and mute the filly said something in a language she had never heard.
“It seems that this little girl is a traveling foreigner who has separated from her family while they were passing through the city. Have you informed the City Council about this? , her parents will be looking for her. ”asked RedHeart too the two roomates.
"BerryPunch has gone to the City Council to inform, we have come here with her to make sure she is healthy," said Octavia as she looked down at the little girl, who was trying to take a stick of mud from one of her hooves without much success.
“I'm going to make a simple analysis, meanwhile wait outside. And if you see Doctor Bandage coming back from his break, tell him to come see me here.”With a nod, the two artists left the consultation.
Seeing the two creatures leave the room I looked at the creature that seems to be some kind of medical staff.They had taken me to a hospital to examine me, or that is what I thought ween i saw the great similarities between this room and a medical consultation of my world. "On second thought I would have done the same as those two if I had met someone with a face of being lost and dwarfing speaking a strange language in the street. Better think they were worried about my health than to think that they sold me to do experiments with me. At least I know that for now the natives do not want to harm me. The key word was for now. ”
The nurse pointed to a stretcher on the other side of the room, gesturing for me to get in. I tried to get on but the stretcher was too high, then I felt something going me up. Turning around, I saw the nurse helping me up using its head."In the absence of hands, good are heads" I thought to myself. Then the creature began to examine my body and take notes on a sheet. To my surprise and disgust, they was writing by putting a pencil in it mouth. To my surprise because with the little time I had observed these beings I had discovered that they could take things with their hooves, as if they had invisible fingers or an adhesive liquid.It did not make sense to use the mouth if you can write in a more efficient and hygienic way .
The nurse stopped taking notes and took a tape measure with her adhesive hooves. I watched as she gestured for me to turn my back to her. As I turned around I looked at the wall that was behind me before. On it there was a cork board full of what looked like children's drawings and pictures of smiling creatures much more similar to me than the rest of those I had seen so far. Then I realized where I really was . This was not a normal consultation, it was a pediatrician, those were drawings and pictures of children, which meant that I had no dwarfism as I thought at the beginning, I was a child! But why?
I could understand in a certain way that by resurrecting in a new world after dying impaled the entity, God or whatever responsible for all this put my soul and mind into a body of the local species, but that I would have rejuvenated made no sense. Well, nothing since I woke up today made sense, so all I could do was accept it and move on. Although having to go through adolescence again when I had barely left it was a fucking annoyance.

After finishing the analysis with the help of Doctor Bandage, RedHeart gave the filly a lollipop, which she gladly accept. While she had just written the medical report RedHeart was still wondering why the little girl had reacted that way when she saw the Doctor and then let the unicorn do a magical analysis without protesting. Soon after, Octavia entered the consultation, ”How is the little one? ”she asked.
"Perfectly, only a few scratches. Where is Vinyl?" asked the nurse seeing Octavia alone.
"She has sent a letter to a friend of his who works at the CloudsDale orphanage, in case they know anything about the little filly"
"I hope not, because that means that the little girl is ... ... alone "RedHeart said looking at the pegasus, who was examining the drawings on the wall while licking her lollipop. After a few seconds of silence, Octavia said" What are we going to do with her now? She can't stay in the hospital , right? ”
Shaking his head RedHeart replied“ No, she can't. The procedure in these cases is to look for someone who can take care of the lost foal until his parents appear, but I don't know if nobody will wan "

Octavia was left alone with the little blue pegasus, who was watching curiously the photo of a group of small flying pegasus. Octavia feels tender watching the scene and after approaching the stretcher said "It seems that you and I are going to be very good friends"
The creature named Octavia smiled even more if possible upon hearing me say her name. I was determined to learn their language as soon as possible, no matter how strange his phonetic is. If I learned to pronounce a dead language correctly in my second year of Guardian's apprentice this will be no problem.Octavia kept trying to teach me basic words but before I could learn anything the nurse came back loaded with papers.Octavia told me something before heading to the nurse's table and starting to fill out the papers, using her mouth to my disgust.
Just when Octavia had finished filling out the document with what looked like a signature the creature that had collided with me and had taken me here against my will entered the room. She began to say something but shut up when she saw Octavia with the documents. Her face went from surprise to disbelief and then to anger. Seeing the spectacle of emotions, Octavia tried to say something but the white creature began to scream angrily , to the surprise of the nurse and myself. Octavia, on the other hand, remained calm-faced and put one of his hooves on the angry creature and said something quietly, as if she wanted to reassure her. That calmed the white-fur creature, at least enough to stop screaming. The two continued exchanging words directing their gaze towards me occasionally until White let out a sigh of defeat and a small smile formed on her face saying a few more words. Octavia jumped to hug the creature of the glasses and she hugged her back, while her cheeks acquired a pink color. Seeing this, my mind added two plus two and an excited smile appeared on my face "This is going to be fun"

"WHAT!" I shouted. There was no one in the room. I looked around confused until I recognized where I was, letting out a small sigh of relief. I pulled away the blanket that covered me and fixed my eyes on the ceiling. The previous day had been very intense, dying and appearing in a strange world inhabited by colorful creatures tired a lot, especially when i was now one of them. The night before, after spending half an hour trying to use the bathroom, Octavia told me where I was going to sleep that night. It was a small room on the second floor that looked like it hadn't been used in years. It only had a bed, a table and its chair and an old closet. The moonlight entered through a triangular window that I had not seen before from the outside. I did not have time to do much more that day because the moment I lay in bed I fell asleep.
I spent several minutes watching the ceiling lying on the bed, thinking what I was going to do now. I could stay with Octavia and the other creature, they have been very kind to me and they look like good people, besides they are very cute together. I could also run away, but I don't know nothing of this world and would surely end up dead in some stupid and painful way, this time at all. And of course i didn't want to cause Octavia problems with his government. Surely the papers she filled out in the hospital legally obliged her to take care of me. ”It is incredible how quickly I matter of anyone who treats me minimally well”. I thought to myself as I jumped out of bed ..
Then I realized that someone had left something on the table. It was a small plate with a toast with jam on top and a glass filled with a yellowish liquid. That was not the only thing that had changed in the room. In front of my window was a rectangular wooden chest, large enough for me to get inside, and on top of the chest a small piano next to some blank sheets and pencils. Curiously approaching the piano, I played a small melody with my hooves to find out if it worked:Yep, it works perfectly. It is bad that nobody here will catch the reference” I had always been a man, now a woman, with a somewhat bizarre humor and if before people barely just caught some of my jokes now it was an impossible task. But I didn't care, while I laughed. Besides, my best jokes were so beasts, absurd and complicated to understand that I only told them to myself. If someone had given me an escut every time someone had looked at me weird when they saw me start laughing out loud for apparently no reason I would have had ... Many escuts.
I left the piano in place and sat in the chair for breakfast. Using my two hooves as if they were tweezers, I brought the toast to my mouth and took a bite. I did not identify the taste of the jam, but it was very sweet. While I devoured what was left of toast I thought about what things Sepharad and this world shared. As alien as this place seemed to me, there were many familiar things around me, both from my time and from the past of my homeworld. The same type of furniture, the same musical writing system, the same instruments, similar fauna and flora and more things I didn't know how to put into words. "Hopefully this world has static games, I don't want to spoil all the hours invested in perfecting my Super Smash Sisters skills"
I finished the toast and drank the contents of the glass slowly, savoring it. I didn't know what it was, but it was delicious. After breakfast was over, I turned my gaze to the sheets of paper next to the piano and I came up with an idea. With a little effort I managed to place the sheets and some pencils on the table using my mouth. My goal was to learn to take things with my hooves and what better practice than to try to write. I put my right hoof on top of a pencil and tried to lift it, failing miserably. I tried again by squeezing the hoof around the pencil, but this time I managed to lift it a little before it fell again. After quite a few attempts I finally got the pencil with enough force and precision to write some letters on the paper. I smiled watching the proof of my victory , the first 4 letters of the Cerctean alphabet. The letter was not very pretty but it wasn't that I was a calligraphist when I had hands. My hooves were much more flexible than they seemed but I was sure that they possess some kind of magic to be able to catch things.
I sighed admitting my defeat. As much as I had trouble admitting it, this world had magic. That I could take an object with the flat surface of a hoof myself was proof of this, not counting telekinesis and flying creatures. And I had the impression that that was only a tiny part of everything this world has to offer. If I kept trying to explain all the impossible things that I had been using my knowledge in biology, physics and chemistry, I would end up going crazy. And I only had simple knowledge of those subjects, my studies of guardian had focused on engineering, mechanics, history and languages.
A huge snoring took me out of my thoughts. The surprise of hearing something so scandalous when I was carrying all morning with just the sound of birds singing at dawn made me fall from the chair Luckily for me there was not much distance between the chair and the floor. Quickly recovering from the surprise I stood up and waited for something to happen. Another snore rang throughout the house, this time even louder. The sound came from outside the room, so I went out into the hall to find out its origin exact. I followed the snoring to a room at the end of the hall and opened the door. Inside was BlueHair asleep like a groundhog, lying on the bed in a rather awkward posture. I had to contain me to not let out a laugh. The room was exactly like mine but with everything purple, lots of photos and concert posters on the walls and a bedside table. On the table were the glasses of red lenses that Bluehair wore yesterday and something that looked like earmuffs.
I left the room leaving the sleeping beauty with her dreams and I went to the only room on the first floor that I had not yet looked at and I deduced that it should be Octavia's room. I tried to open the door but it was locked. I stuck my ear to the door in case I heard Octavia sleeping inside but I didn't hear anything. I walked down the stairs and Octavia wasn't on the ground floor either. "Surely she will have gone to work" .If she had not made me breakfast I would have run out of food until she returned or BlueHair woke up, because I did not reach any drawer in the kitchen to get food. I had forgotten that part of the experience of being a child is that you are small and you need adults to help you get high place stuff. I jumped on the couch and lay down looking at the ceiling for a few minutes until I said,
Octavia looked at the streets of Ponyville sitting at one of the SugarCube Corner tables while slowly drinking a cup of hot tea. It was still early in the morning but the pastry shop was full of ponies who came to buy breakfast before starting their workday. Pinkie Pie had stayed with her to talk about a party in which Pinkie needed more elegant music than usual. Unfortunately, last night the twin sons of the Cakes had given Mrs.Cake much more work than usual and had barely slept. That meant that Pinkie Pie had to work with Mr. Cake in the store in the morning so that Mrs. Cake could have a few hours of sleep. Now Octavia had to wait for Pinkie to finish working and although normally she wouldn't mind having to wait a little today she had reason to hurry. When she had left the house the little blue pegasus was still sleeping and Octavia would have liked to finish this little meeting as soon as possible so that when the filly woke up she was at home and not alone with the only Vinyl Scratch snoring company.

Hi. Sorry for the late update.My initial plan was to update a chapter every day but im afraid i cant take that ritm of work. I expect i can make at least 3 chapters o four for week but the next 2 weeks is the festivities of my homeland and the start of a new scholar year.If i dont update you know now the cause, hehe.
And yes, the piano song is a Undertale reference.

Chapter V : Music , words and fillies
Vinyl was not a morning mare. The only reason she didn't wake up at noon every day was that her roommate Octavia made sure to wake her up with the sound of her cello practice. But today that was not what woke her. From the ground floor came the sound of a wind instrument that Vinyl had never heard, a loud, sweet and vibrant sound. After a few seconds of confusion Vinyl jumped out of her bed and headed for the stairs, not knowing who or what is playing that instrument "Octavia has already returned from her meeting with Pinkie?, because if it is not she can only be..." Vinyl could not continue with his thought because when she reached the end of the stairs she saw something that just totally woke her up, as if a bucket of ice water had been thrown at her.
Who was playing was the small pegasus with blue hair and tangled reddish mane that the day before Octavia had insisted on caring until they found their parents. Vinyl was silent, watching the little filly play her song with an instrument that Vinyl had never seen at home. It was a wooden flute with an oboe's mouthpiece, with which the filly played a sad and melancholic, but somehow hopeful song. Her eyes were closed and his face was calm, with some lonely tears sliding down his cheeks. Her body moved from side to side following the rhythm of the melody, as if she were in some kind of trance.
After a few minutes, the blue pegasus finished her song and fell silent looking at nothing. The pegasus had a sad smile that reminded Vinyl of his mother's face when she talked about his dead father.The face of somepony who is remembering something bittersweet but who decides to keep the happy part of the memory, although it also hurts.In this situation, Vinyl knew what to do. Slowly she approached the sofa where the pegasus was sitting and sat next to her. This made her finally realize the presence of the DJ but before she could do or say anything Vinyl hugged her tightly. After a few seconds of surprise, she hugged him back and they held each other for what seemed like hours.
I knew that I shouldn't have done it, that I shouldn't have rebuilt the instrument of my land, the dolsain, with pieces of other instruments that covered the room, and I shouldn't have just played that song. I knew that the emotional charge of the song would make me cry with the memory of my land, my friends, my family, ma mare... . The people I loved most and that I would never see again. Something I knew from the moment I realized that i had died and reincarnated but had decided to ignore until now. But I was happy because everything had finished well.
"I would like to know your language so I can thank you," I thought as I hugged Blue Hair. "This is just what I needed." Blue Hair was the first to break the hug, heading to the kitchen for breakfast but not before giving me two pats on the head.
We continue like this for hours and at noon I already knew the most basic words of her language, such as colors, how to say yes, no, thanks and please and some other things. The board proved to be very useful for Vinyl to give me a visual reference to the words. Although it was a totally different language than the ones I knew, with a extrange vocabulary and pronunciation, it had grammatical structures similar to Cerctean. And finally I knew what our species was called. We were ponies, i specifically was the winged subspecies called pegasus. Ponies with a horn like Vinyl were called unicorns and could do magic. Finally there were earth ponies like Octavia.
After a really difficult word for me (friendship), Vinyl suddenly looked surprised and hit her face with a hoof, as if she had just realized that she had forgotten something very stupid. Before I could ask what was wrong with my little vocabulary she asked me.”Why I want to use my old name now that I am practically someone else? Besides, I've always hated the foreign name that the imbecil of my father gave me. ”I needed a new name, and I honestly had no idea what to call me.
After Vinyl reassured Octavia by teaching her that I had not broken her valuable instruments, only disassembled them, Octavia was very happy to see that i was learning to speak her language and much more when she saw that i knew how to play an instrument. Covering the holes of a wind instrument without fingers is not exactly easy so I could not play anything very complicated, but the sparkle in Octavia's eyes assured me that she would try teach me to play better. At that time I had already deduced that these two were musicians, something quite evident seeing that the two had musical notes tattooed on the back. The next three days a small routine was established. In the morning Vinyl taught me new words while Octavia practiced with the cello by our side. In the afternoon Octavia taught me to play the oboe, although I would have liked to continue with the dolsain. During those days neither of the two ponies asked me a personal question and they always talked to me with a smile on my face, although I had seen them several times talk about me with concern when they thought I didn't hear them.
The morning of the fourth day was different. We were eating our breakfast , omelettes with sweet herbs and apple juice, when Vinyl said "Today Octavia and I have a surprise for you" That caught me surprised and i almost choked me with apple juice. After recovering with a few coughs I said.
After finishing his last piece of omelette Vinyl asked me:
Before I got angry thinking about my father Octavia called us to go outside. I jumped out of the chair and headed slowly toward the backyard door. As soon as I opened the door with my head I was greeted with a childish laugh.
“SURPRISE”
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA” I jumped against the top frame of the door with my head and then fell face down."I have to explain to everyone that I don't like surprises?" I thought with my face still on the floor.
"Oh sorry partner are you ok?" Said a voice i didn't recognize. She had a strange accent, different from Octavia.
“Wow, that jump has been impressive! You haven't even used the wings!” Said a second voice very excited, as if seeing me bang my head against the doorframe and the floor was something impressive.
"Don't say that Scootaloo, she probably has hurt herself." A third voice that sounded familiar to me added.
With a growl I looked up and saw the three ponies that had caused me the headache I now had from the blow. They were three fillies a little bigger than me who watched me closely with their big eyes.
Before I could continue to investigate in my memory the three fillies shouted as they gathered their hooves.
"This day is gonna be tiring”
