Two girls were strolling through the streets discussing with each other while a blue girl tried to follow the other two the best she could holding her stomach, her face a little bit greener that the rest of her body.
“Giiiiiirls, my stomach huuuuuuuuuurts.”
“Ughhhh, I told you Sonata, eating a hundred or so tacos wasn’t a good idea, specially the ones from “Sombrero’s Tacos”.”
“But I was hungryyyyy, and it was a eat-what-you-can-in-ten-minutes especiaaaaaal.”
“Well, now you are not hungry, aren't you? why are you not happy?”
“Ariaaaaaa why don't you give me a lift? just a few couple of blocks.”
“NO! The last time you threw up on top of me, and also because you are the WORST.”
“IM NOoooooouuuuugh” The blue girl tried to finish before putting a hand in her mouth trying not to vomit.
“STOP YOU TWO” The yellow girl snapped, stopping the three of them and turning to face them “Sonata it serve you well, we both told you to stop at your thirtieth taco, but you continued until we found you half in a coma in the bathroom.” Adagio said pointing at Sonata with a stare that looked directly into Sonata’s soul “But I suppose we could call a taxi to get us a lift home, but YOU are paying Sonata.” Adagio said calming down but not taking the stare out of Sonata.
“Fine by Meeeeeeeeeuughhhhh” she tried to finish putting her hand again in her mouth trying to hold back her meal.
“Uggggghhh, here” Aria said picking up her sister from the side “Let's go to this alley so you can throw up while Adagio calls for the taxi.” She guided her to a nearby alleyway with a couple of trashcan so sonata could vomit in them.
“Yeah, Yeah” Adagio said while picking up her phone from her pocket and searching for the taxi number in her contact list “Don't forget to hold up her hair while puking, I don't want the apartment smelling like “Sombrero’s Tacos” for the next month.”
“HOLD WHAT?!” Aria shouted from the alleyway “She already has a ponytail holding her hair perfectly!”
“JUST DO IT! you two can be so annoying.” She finally found the taxi service number and pushed the green button on the screen, bringing the phone to her ear waiting for them to pick up “Hello? Yes, we would like a lift, we are at…” she looked around searching for a sign with the name of the street “twentieth street, next to the sugar cube corner, yes, thank you.” She hung up putting the phone away.
*BLAAAAAAAAAARG*
Aria squinted from behind Sonata holding her ponytail trying to look away from her sister “Ugggggghhh, why did we go to “Sombreros Tacos” again?”
Adagio approached them from behind watching at Aria holding Sonatas hair while the other threw up “Because it was Sonatas turn to choose, but if I would have known about the “sale” earlier I wouldn't have let her choose there in a million years.”
*BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGGGGGG* “sorryyyyygh” *puagh* Sonata spat in the trash can.
“Are you done?”
“Yeah, I'm feeling better, THANK YOU!” Sonata turned around to face Aria giving her a bright smile, What Sonata did not know was that she had rests of her meal stuck to her face, making Aria flinch a little instead of making her smile, it's not like Aria would smile back at her either.
Adagio started looking through her purse taking out a pack of tissues “Here, clean her up and let’s wait for the taxi, it shouldn’t take long for him to come.” She said turning around going out to the street waiting for their taxi to arrive.
Aria took a tissue from the package and started washing Sonatas face “I swear for Poseidon’s beard, you will not pick the next restaurant we go.”
“But Ariaaa-aaaaaaaa” She said in between swipes of Aria cleaning her.
“Just, lets go.” Aria picked Sonata from the shoulder, supporting her the little trip from the alleyway to the street. They stood there waiting for the taxi driver to arrive, but Sonata felt worse and worse by minute holding into Aria a little bit more.
“Ughhhhh, When is he gonna come?” Sonata said barely holding by her feet by now, Aria was supporting her, trying so she wouldn't fall over, “Sonata, how can you weigh so much and still look so skinny it's a mystery.”
“Don't call me fat, YOU ARE FAT!!!”
“I WASN'T THE ONE THAT ATE WHO KNOWS HOW MANY TACOS IN TEN MINUTES AND THEN THREW UP IN AN ALLEYWAY!”
“GIRLS!” Adagio screamed turning around stopping the both of them “Aria please, just sit down with her while we wait.” Adagio said while pinching her nose, she tough for a minute to just take the taxi for her and leave these two alone making them go home walking, but just for a minute tho.
Aria helped Sonata sat down near the building holding her, at this moment Aria felt like this wasn't just a sick stomach, Sonata should be feeling better by now.
Aria sat next to Sonata and the latter put her head on her sister’s shoulder, with her eyes closed trying to breath but having difficulty with each breath.
Aria started looking at her with a worried look “Adagio, I think we should go to the Hospital” Aria said worried while watching how the blue sirens color started to fade to a white shade, trying her hardest to breath each second “Girls? I don't feel so good.”
Aria hold Sonata with both hands trying her to not fall, turned her around and put her head on top of Aria’s folded knees looking up.
Adagio turned around noticing Sonata’s state, Adagio’s face fell down immediately, Adagio knew as well that Sonata didn’t get this sick for just eating too much, those DAMN tacos should have been bad or something “Hold her still, when the taxi arrives we will go to the Hospital”
In that moment the taxi arrived and honked near them recognizing them from before and thanks to their flashy clothes they weren’t easy to miss. Adagio peeked fast through the window “To the Hospital, FAST.”
In that moment Adagio felt a powerful wave go through her, knocking her out, she could feel it very well, it wasn't EQUESTRIAN magic,no, it was much more powerful, even more than her and her sister’s back when they had their gems, even more than when they were at the other side of the portal, when they were SIRENS. It felt like the very magic that created them, no, wait, the UNIVERSE, a force that could kill her if it wanted, but this time, it chose not to.
Adagio started gaining her conscious back, focusing her eyes again through the car, but something was wrong, the taxi-driver wasn’t there anymore, a couple of specks floating where he once stood. “Huh?” Adagio turned around to her sisters.
Aria was holding her head squeezing her eyes shut, like she was trying to push out a headache just by force alone. Sonata was lying in Aria’s knees, her body completely limp on top of Aria, she was trying her hardest to breathe each second.
Adagio asked “Girls? Are you okay?” Aria opened her eyes again, her headache going away as fast as it came. “Yeah, I'm fine.” She looked back at Sonata “Come on, lets get her to the Hospital.” Aria started lifting Sonata to bring her to the car but Adagio stopped her.
"No, wait, the driver is gone, I'm gonna call an ambulance."
"What do you mean it's GONE?" Aria was holding Sonata tighter to her, feeling each breath that her little sister was trying to make.
"I don't know, maybe i scared him, but he is not here" Adagio responded angrier and panicked than before, searching for her phone.
"Girls"
"WHY WOULD HE GO OUT OF HIS CAR TO START RUNNING!"
"Girls"
"I DON'T KNOW ARIA, BUT HE IS NOT THERE, BUT BE MY GUEST IF YOU WANT TO PERFORM A GRAND THEFT AUTO!"
"GIRLS!" Sonata screamed the best she could, bringing the attention from her two big sisters.
*Cough* "Please don't fight, i don't like it when we fight, we are supposed to love each other"
That is when Adagio saw it, her pupil shrunk to two little dots, Sonata's feet started to turn into dust spreading through her legs.
"no… SONATA!" Adagio dropped the phone in her hand along with her purse, rushing to her little sister dropping to her knees, getting as close as she could.
Aria traced Adagio's gaze to where Sonata's feet once where, Aria’s entire face fell down immediately.
She wanted to scream but no words came out of her mouth, Aria looked at her little sister's face.
Sonata was smiling at both her big sisters.
"Thank you" Sonata said before the dust reached her head consuming the rest of the little siren.
Aria felt the weight disappear from her hands, she didn't understand what had just happened, she felt her tears starting to escape from her eyes, she was sad, and ANGRY.
Her face tensed and crunched, like she was trying to bring her back with a stare, closing her eyes, she wanted to scream again.
She felt how two hands hold each of her shoulders tightly, Aria looked up to see Adagio, trying to hold herself, looking down as well where her little sister once where, a full stream of tears flooding through her, like Aria, she was confused, but Adagio was more scared than angry, Adagio was disappointed in herself, that she didn't prevent this, she didn't protect them from this and now her little sister was gone.
Everything happened so fast.
Aria didn't know what to do, she was angry, but most importantly confused, a minute ago she was holding her sisters hair while she puked in an alleyway and now she was gone, probably forever.
"Why?" she whispered to herself.
Adagio got closer to Aria, hugging the girl while Aria’s hand just felt limp.
“Please, don't go” Said the older sister while hugging what now was her only little sister, with this, a new realization came to Aria.
She could be next, or even Adagio.
Aria lifted her arms and hugged Adagio back with all her force, shutting her eyes as much as she could, if it happened again, she didn't want to see it.
As the two girls were hugging and crying with each other in the cold floor in the street, more people started banishing around them, screams and cries could be heard all around them.
No one knew what had just happened, the only thing that they knew, was that her little sister was gone in a snap in front of them, and they didn't know who would be next.
