One Dragon Ball – Arc 1: My Little Broly
Chapter 1 - A Fiery Arrival
Author's Note
Okay, I'm gonna say something here first off...never in my wildest dreams did I even think that I was actually going to make an MLP One Piece crossover since I joined Fimfiction...ever. The only series that I was planning to create was the one that I was originally focusing on as of late, rewriting the first book after seeing how it was going the last couple of times. The more I began to go into it though...the more I began to realize just how vital this series was needed to explain all of the events that I will soon be writing about in this new Arc Series, especially with some of the characters that I had made on various different biographies. I had my doubts on this at first, on whether or not this would be good or not, or whether I should even do this, but...after I made up my mind, and posted the last blog post on it, I can now say for certain that the One Dragon Ball Series is officially open and ready to read
!!! This will probably be the longest series that I will ever right for as long as I'm on Fimfiction, and I really really, really do hope that I will be able to make it worthwhile for everyone, even if it takes an ungodly amount of time to make
. I have all of the books planned, the titles, the characters and everything, but I still have to write the chapters themselves, and I know 3, will be hectic. Still, I decided to make this, and I will not stop until I have gotten it all done and ready to read for everyone on this sight
!!!
Now, before any of you go onto the chapters, please read the following ground rules that I have listed down below. It is paramount that you do to help me with some extra improvement in this brand new story
.
Anyone who has the courtesy to leave a like in the story, please leave a reason as to why you did so in the comment section below. Favoriting it and adding it to libraries is one thing, but as I rewrote this story, I was becoming increasingly annoyed when people did leave likes, but didn't leave a reason as to why or what they liked about the story, or what they didn't like about it in the comments section
. Also, the very first time I rewrote this, I got just a few, but very offending comments about the story itself, and that is somethin I have zero tolerance for. So if I find any insulting or trolling comments down here, you will be hearing from be, because as I said in my bio, I am not someone who takes crap from anyone, period
.
Please point out any misspelling or over extended sentences and paragraphs, having to do with dialogue, or environments, in this new series of mine, so I can fix them. I want this to be as flawless as possible, and the last thing I want is for people to get a bit put off by the things I accidentally put in my chapters
. So please, please, please, be sure to do so, and I will do all that I can to fix it.
Under no circumstances are you allowed to ask me how many chapters there will be in this new version, okay
? I know many of you want stories to have an end, I do as well, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to be giving out any hints about it...at least not anymore. If you guys don't have the patience to see this through to the end, I am under no obligation to make you stay to watch this series. You are more than welcome the yourselves out and leave if you want to leave this series and find another story that will fit to your standards. I am a patient man, and I am willing to wait as long as it takes for stories that have caught my interest to be completed, unless they get cancelled by their authors for unknown reasons. Especially if those reasons happen to do with outside lives, as with all of us. I'll give blog updates about how the chapters are going, and when I believe they will be posted, but I will not be answering any questions as to how many there will be, at all
. It will get done when it gets done, that much I can say
.
The final and most important rule...have fun reading
! If there's one thing that I don't like, is boredom, especially when it comes to a story. And the last thing that I want is for you guys to be bored of my own stories, so I'm gonna do my best to keep that from happening. If not for you guys, then at least for myself
.
Without further ado, enjoy the first chapter of the first Arc of my brand new series of One Dragon Ball🐉!!!
Chapter 1 - A Fiery Arrival
The night sky was filled with a multitude of stars that tinkled in its vastness of darkness. The little beads of light the ebony color produced shined down on the endless land blow, currently resting under its nocturnal light. The trees towering above the land of tree could be seen glowing under the gentle light of the moon, their leaves shining the brightest. Shadows loomed over the majority of the landscape, the little amount of light helping them stretch over the land, and across the mountains in the far distance. Form within this forest, all types of creatures, big and small, could be seen roaming about and trekking through the bush. Whether they were finding a place to sleep, on the prowl, or engaging in more private activities, the forest wasn’t entirely silent. To the normal viewer, it would be thought that this would be quite the big forest, and they’d be right on that part. However, if they looked deeper, they would see that this isn’t any ordinary forest; nor were the creatures not anything out of the ordinary either.
Somewhere deep within the of this forest, underneath the earth of the very trees that loomed over them, laid a deep underground city. It was one that was so big that could’ve easily passed off for a nation if it was above the ground instead. It had various buildings of all shapes and sizes, looking designed for being adaptable for the nighttime. Various lights of all colors could be seen shining from above the rooftops, giving a beautiful glow to the cavern ceiling underneath. Bats of various sizes, forms, and species flew about the city like, attracted to the texture of the town below them. Or, mainly the equines that roamed and flew about the town that looked like bat-like versions of them; these ponies being the thestrals of the village of Nocturne.
Mares, stallions, and foals alike were, frolicking, playing and going about their daily business in the darkness they loved so much. Casual chatting, childish laughing, and even the sound of wings flapping and clashing magic could be heard in the atmosphere. The powerful silence of the underground only serving to help amplify it and make all others who are within the underground city hear it. To some, this would seem like quite the usual and scary place to live in, with the thestral ponies only serving to heighten that fear. For the bat ponies themselves, it’s absolute paradise, where they can be who they are without fear or judgement from the equines above the surface. Where they can be safe, happy and free, even within the forest they cherished so much, having little interactions with the ponies that roam it.
Little did any of the thestrals realize, that was soon going to change.
Somewhere within the underground city, nestled right in the center of town, was a large building that could only be assumed was a bar. To somepony who was closer to its perimeter, it would seem more like a castle than a bar, and would’ve passed for one were it not for the sign at the entrance. It had the time of ‘The Bar of Glory’, with the image of a seductive posting thestral atop it, slitted feline eyes glowing alluringly. From within the bar, there were thestral ponies of all sizes ages, and colors, socializing in one way or another. Be it laughing, partying, music playing, or doing more lewd activities in and around different corners of the bar, not one part of the bar was quiet. The smell of the booze, cigars, food and sex were hanging strong in the air, showing just how lively it was.
Standing at the front tablet of the bar, cleaning and serving drinks, was another thestral mare, that stood out a bit more than the rest. She had a silvery grey pelt that gleamed in the light of the bar, as bright as her piercing golden slitted eyes. Her mane and tail were a deep indigo and violet, having inky black streaks running down them like waves. Both appendages fell down her neck and rump like a waterfall, framing her voluptuous alluring figure. A large set of bright purple clawed bat wings would be seen folded at her sides, and her flanks glowed with a bright orange crescent moon dotted with stars.
“Hey Evening Glory, what’s on your mind there?” A pegasus stallion asked, putting down the mug that he was sipping. “You’re looking like you’re spacing out a bit there?”
Evening Glory, who was staring pretty intently at her cup, perked her ears up and looked into the stallion’s chocolate brown eyes. Shaking her head, she set the cup down and softly sighed, running a hoof through her mane. “I’m sorry Wood Tavern…I guess I’m just spacing out a little bit tonight. I suppose with all of the noise going on in this bar I suppose that I’m zoning out.”
“Eh, well this bar is kind of lively like every single time you open it, which is pretty often.” Wood Tavern chuckled, putting a light grey hoof under his chin. “When you’ve worked in a place like this for as long as you have, that does happen sometimes. Maybe all of the noise is what’s making you have these little daydreams of yours.”
“Yes, maybe it is.” Evening murmured, setting the glass cups in the dishwasher down below. “I don’t mind though; my bar has always been one where others can act as lively as they want. So, I don’t mind the least bit that I’m having these space outs.”
“Well, opening a bar where everypony can be themselves is what you have been dreaming of since you were a…um, a little filly.” Tavern pointed out casually, shrugging slightly. “Just like how it’s always been my dream to get you make you mine someday.”
“Your damn right it was my little Tavern.” Evening smirked, booping the pegasus on his nose. “Oh, and that’s little fledgling to you.”
Tavern chuckled back, sitting up on his table to lean in closer to the mare. “Yeah, that’s right Evening Glory, you’re my little fledgling. My sweet, adorable, sexy and slutty little fledgling and nopony else’s.” His lips stopped just millimeters from her’s as he let them graze across Evening’s curved fangs. “One that I get to have all to myself every single night~.”
“Easy there, big boy, I know you know that look. You wanna take me into the other room and pound me until I’m hardly able to walk,” Evening giggled, gently pushing the stallion away. “You’ll have to wait though, I still have a few ponies that I need to serve before I close up shop for the night, and there is plenty.”
“Awww, come on~!” Tavern whined, pouting heavily as his face fell along with his ears. “You know much I love banging that tight little batty cave of yours into next week! Can’t you just put these orders to the side this one time and let me pound you right here? It’s not like anypony here is going to care, since some of them are literally doing here as we speak. Besides, this is a bar where you want ponies to have a good time in any way they can, isn’t it?”
Evening Glory snorted, a blush coming to her face as moved back to tend to a few more dishes on the counter of the bar. Admittedly, Tavern did have a point; her bar was a place where she wanted ponies to have a good time and not be judged. Even if it was in more intimate ways that should’ve been kept more private. Even at that moment, she could hear and smell the sound of thestral couples either making out or doing it in different corners of her bar, albeit stealthily. It made her feel pretty hypocritical that she wouldn’t want to mate with her best friend publicly when she more or less made her bar for that specific reason. Especially since they had actually did so more than a few times in front of spectators on special occasions.
“Okay, you are right there, Wood Tavern. This is a bar where I want everypony to be themselves and feel comfortable in any way they feel will do so.” Evening sighed as she dried her cloven hooves with a towel. “You and I did fuck each other’s brains out more than a few times in this very bar, and nopony here really gave a shit about it.”
“Exactly.” Tavern said cheerfully, giving a curt nod. “Not only that, but we didn’t have to face any judgement from anypony here or feel embarrassed. And not just because that’s one of the many rules that you set inside your bar.” He moved in again and wrapped a hoof around her neck, connecting their foreheads together as he looked into her eyes with want. “So, why don’t you just let those dishes crash to the ground and let me wash you on this table right here?”
“That does sound pretty tempting…and definitely on the washing thing.” Evening crooned, brushing the fluff on Tavern’s chest apart with a hoof. “Buuuuut, I think I wanna make an exception just for this night, and it’s not because of the few ponies I need to serve either~.”
Tavern’s look of momentary disappointment turned into one of confusion, sensing something about his friend’s statement. “What’s so special about this night?”
“Oh, you know you little wood chipping pup.” Evening said, pooping Tavern on his nose. “This is the one night where every single one of the stars are out. With nothing, not even the clouds to block them from the sky, while Faust’s moon basks the land in its beautiful white glow.”
“Oh, I see.” Tavern said with a laugh. “It’s that night where you thestrals like to call the Lunar Moon? Like you told me for the last hundreds of thousands of times?”
“It sure is; and it is the one night where I don’t want you to fill me with your warm sticky cider and stain the bar table with it.” Evening replied, giggling as she patted Tavern’s head, making him pout rather childishly. “So how about it? You think you can wait until I’m done here at the bar before we head up to the Forest of Freedom? I’ll let you work me into the ground with that big meaty wolfy cock of yours if you do~.”
“Don’t you always let me do that though?” Tavern asked, letting out a growl that was a rather impressive impersonation of a wolf. After sharing a brief yet intense kiss with her, he gave a shrug and said, “But I can go with that; you are one to keep your word no matter what the situation, thestral or not, so I’ll give.” A toothy grin came to his face as he brought a hoof to Evening’s chin, his hazel brown eyes boring into her’s as they gave a bit of a red glow. “Just be prepared to be claimed by your alpha, because I am going to make you howl~.”
“Not howl, Tavern.” Evening correctly slyly, wrapping a large clawed wing around Tavern’s back furry back. “You’re gonna make me skree~.”
The gentle flapping of pegasus wings drowned out the silent flapping of the wings of bat pony as Evening Glory and Wood Tavern flew through the air. The giant trees circling them basked them in their enormous shadows as they soared across the Forest of Freedom, being sure not to hit any branches. Their ears were greeted with the sounds of the animals down below, as they frolicked and roamed through the night, taking no heed to the equines soaring above them. With the exception of the adventurous creatures, not a sound was heard, allowing the duo to taking the quietness around them.
“Do you hear that Tavern?” Evening asked, inhaling the cool air into her nostrils. “This night is particularly quiet tonight, isn’t it?”
“Yeah, it sure is Evening; I can hardly even hear anything apart from my own wing flaps.” Tavern replied, letting himself soar a bit before he flapped his wings to stable himself. “I know that many of the animals here are out this time of night, but even they’re a lot quieter than we are.”
“I’ve noticed that. I guess it’s because that this is the Lunar Moon night, and they all want to take this nice to enjoy the clam and quiet.” Evening speculated, looking down at beasts that were stalking the ground the walked atop. “That’s kind of why me and many of my kind like to be around animals more than I do ponies. They’re so much quieter and could give less of a shit about what the fuck you do, even if it’s in front of them. And no matter how lewd it is, they never ever judge you for it.”
“Heh, I’m on the same boat as you there Evening.” Tavern nodded, his dark brown mane flowing in front of his face and behind his neck. “To be completely honest, I really enjoy being out here too, and not just because of the scenery and the forest’s expansion. Or the endless amounts of prey that you, me, the bat ponies underground get to hunt either.” He licked his lips as his teeth lengthened and sharpened a bit, causing Evening to role her eyes. “It’s pretty much for the same reasons that you do, only with me, it’s also because of all the sexy ladies I get to bang~!”
“You mean sexy mares like me?” Evening cooed, flicking her tail into Tavern’s face and almost making him collide with a tree. “The one mare that you go to more than any other thestral in the Nocturnal Nation City?”
“Damn straight, mare’s that’re just like you!” Tavern laughed, holding his hooves to his chest as they continued to zip through the trees. “Of course, that’s not something that’d you mind me doing, is it? Considering you did join me with a few other mares in a few fucks both in the forest and inside the city.”
Evening went a bit red in the face at this revelation, looking away as Tavern laughed. She had on more than one occasions joined Tavern in a few rounds of group sex, be it because she wanted some excitement, or needed some stress relief after a long day of work. This wasn’t done often of course, due to how busy she was at her job, but on special occasions did she have a wild orgy with Tavern and some of the other mares.
“No, it’s not…as a matter of a fact I find it pretty hot watching you nail another mare.” Evening crooned, a half-lidded expression coming to her fanged face. “You know sweetheart…if you actually got together with me, then you’d get to bring mares home all the time~.”
“Would I?” Tavern asked, smirking at the mare. “I think I’m in love~.”
“No, I’m serious.” Evening persisted, slowly doing down just enough to fly right next to the light grey stallion. “I’m the type of mare that doesn’t really give a shit how many mare’s a stallion gets, and as long as he remembers who he plowed first, then I don’t really care. You are definitely the type of stallion who likes to please every mare he meets, just like how I’m the type of mare who’s okay with him having a harem.” She leaned in close to his ear and whispered, “If you were to get with me, Wood Tavern Bijuu, then you’d have the relationship of your life~.”
Tavern growled softly, feeling a tingling in his loins as he fought to keep down his carnal instincts for the time being. With a purr, he brushed his cheek against Evening’s and slapped her ass, making her squeak. “Okay, I take back what I said earlier…I know I’m in love now~.”
The feeling of soft light washing over them cut Evening off from whatever retort she was going to make, and she and Tavern looked up in front of them. They found themselves in an enormous clearing, with trees small enough to be considered normal, a field of flowers, and a glittering bond to match. Far above the more abnormal trees, was the full moon, gleaming down into the clearing in all its ghostly glory. It shined particularly bright on Evening and Tavern, as if it was welcoming them into this section of the forest.
“My…the moon is bright this time of night, isn’t it?” Evening asked, looking over at Tavern. “I’ve seen it glow bright plenty of times before, but not like this.”
Tavern nodded. “Totally…this has to be the brightest that it’s shined yet, and that’s really saying something.” His tail began to wag behind him, as if he was a dog getting excited over something or somepony. “It’s really giving me the urge to howl at it right now.”
“I’m not surprised.” Evening said in amusement. “I mean, you do have the ability to turn into a wolf after all. A wolf with ten big fluffy tails that I can snuggle up into!”
“That I do…and speaking of tails, you’ll get plenty of times to snuggle into them.” Tavern winked at Evening, before a predatory grin came to his face. “Right after I fuck you right into this soft cool grass~.”
Without warning, he lunged at the silvery grey thestral and pinned her to the ground, looming over her with his wings spreading to full span. Evening’s surprised cry at Tavern’s move turned into a giggle as she peered up at him. “My, somepony’s eager to get into my little cave, aren’t they? You seem a bit more anxious and pent up as usual.”
“A bit? Try spending all day building multiple ships and planes for ponies and foals who want to go sailing and flying around the forest.” Tavern snorted, adjusting the dark brown stetson on his head as it began to fell off. “You are going to have a pretty hard time trying not to touch yourself until you’re somewhere private where nopony will see you. Or hear you howl into your own home or in some sort of random cave.”
Evening blinked a couple of times. “Wow…that is a good reason to be acting so jumpy. Well, why don’t you and I take care of that jumpiness so I can snuggle into your tails afterward?”
“Yeah, let’s do just that~.” Tavern replied as he reared his head back as he prepared to get into a heated make out session with the bat mare underneath him. Before he could to even shoot his head down, he looked off to the left, noticing something out of the corner of his eye. Looking up into the sky, Tavern found his gaze locking onto stars, his eyes narrowed in thought.
“What’s the matter Tavy?” Evening asked curiously, wondering why the stallion stopped. She followed his gaze up into the sky’s black color, and she found herself smiling. “Oh, I see…you’re taking a moment to marvel at the stars huh? I can’t blame you, I can’t help but gaze at them too, no matter how many there are. Even on a night like this I find myself doing it, and it always brings such a wonderful feeling to me.”
“Uh-huh…me too.” Tavern said slowly, the perplexation in his voice making Evening’s ears perk up. “They are beautiful, no doubt, it’s just…there’s one star that’s kind of off putting.”
Evening frowned, gently pushing Tavern off of her to prop herself up. “Which star do you mean?”
“That star right there.” Tavern said, pointing a hoof up right where the center of the moon was. “Up where the moon is.”
Evening’s eyes went slightly wide as she noticed the bright green line shining from within the center of the moon. Curiosity fully peaked, she got to her hooves and looked straight at the light, watching as it gleamed in the center of the moon. The more she looked at it, the tighter the gut in her feeling got, and eventually, she sensed that something was wrong.
“Tavern…” She finally began, worry clouding her voice. “…I don’t think that’s a star.”
“What?” Tavern looked at the thestral mare. “How do you know that?”
“Two reasons.” Evening replied, her concern growing. “For one, stars don’t give off a green glow, unlike the other stars, that’re all white.” Her elegant face slowly began to contort into one of fear. “Secondly…they don’t look like they’re about to crash down onto earth at any second!”
Eyes widening, Tavern whipped his gaze back up to the strange light, and saw that his fuck buddy was indeed right. The object they were seeing in the sky was definitely not a light, but some flaming orb that was coming down to earth. As it got closer, they could see that the comet was surrounded in a cloak of scorching fire.
“Oh shit, you’re right!” Tavern yelled, his wings shooting out. “That is definitely not a star! It is a fucking meteorite, and it’s about to land right where we are!”
Evening sprang into action, grabbing Tavern’s hoof and heading towards the trees. “Let’s get out of here, quick! Before it-!”
Both flyers suddenly found themselves shot forward by an unbelievably powerful gust of wind that made them collide with the trees. Tavern and Evening felt their ears wing as a deafening explosion rocked across the clearing, drowning out the splashing of water. As they tumbled across the forest, a gigantic wave of smoke and dust swallowed them in its sea of grey and black. They shut their yes and nostrils to keep from going blind or coughing up a storm as they waited for the violent rumbling of the ground to settle. It took several whole minutes for the dust to settle, and even longer for the ground to stop shaking, but all eventually ceased. The due stayed for twice as long as the explosion went on, waiting until they were certain that it was quiet again. Only when they managed to gather enough confidence, they looked from behind the nearest trees they hid near and went bug-eyed just a second later.
“What. The. Fucking. Hell?!” Tavern shouted, his voice rising slightly louder with each word until he was practically shouting. “What the fuck is that?!”
“It…it looks like it’s a giant white comet.” Evening replied, staring jaw-dropped at the appendage that was laying in the pond-sized crater before them. “Wait, no…I take that back…it looks like it’s a…miniature spaceship.”
Taking a closer look at the object, Tavern could see that Evening was indeed right in her explanation. The comet that they suspected was more metallic in appearance, with a large dark green glass mirror in the center. There also looked to be some symbol on the side of the ship, but Tavern wasn’t quite able to make it out. Evening on the other hoof, did, and the shocked gasp she gave let Tavern know of it.
“What…should we do?” Tavern finally asked, not quite noticing the look on the thestral mare’s face. “Should we…get somepony?”
Evening didn’t reply with words but did so by spreading her wings and taking off towards the ship, catching Tavern off guard. After gathering himself, Tavern followed after her, and they dove down the crater and up to the ship. Evening looked to be ready to try to open the ship, but Tavern grabbed her and pulled her away.
“Tavern, what the hell are you doing?” Evening hissed. “Let go of me!”
“Hold on a second there Evening, don’t be hasty!” Tavern insisted. “Are you really going to try to open a spaceship of all things? We don’t know what could be in there!”
“Don’t know what could be in there? Are you fucking serious?” Evening asked incredulously, ripping her foreleg away from Tavern’s. “Tavern, I know for a fact that there is no alien or anything inside of this ship! If anything, it’s a pony that would either be sick or injured, or in need of help, and judging on the type of pony it is, we’d have to be fucking idiots not to!”
“How do you know that? You haven’t even looked inside yet!” Tavern said, gesturing to the still closed ship. “What hint does this ship have that give you the impression that whatever, or whoever is in this thing isn’t going to try to take control of our brains and use our bodies as their own?”
With a deepening frown, Evening trotted over to the side of the ship, pointing to the mark that she saw on the ship. Raising an eyebrow, Tavern went over to where she was and looked at the symbol she was pointing at. A huge gasp left him when he saw that it was a large orangish round ball with a single ruby red star in the center.
“Does that answer your question?” Evening huffed, flicking her tail skirt. “Or do you need even more proof than that?”
Tavern was too shocked to say anything, but the look in his eyes told Evening all that she needed to know. They knew exactly what that symbol meant, and what it entailed, as well as who it belonged to…or, the family it belonged to.
“No fucking way…” Tavern said in a whisper, taking a couple of steps back. “That symbol…that’s the symbol of the…t-the…”
“The Shenron Clan of Vegeta Valley.” Evening finished firmly, planting her hoof back down. “That’s right; and this thing that we’re seeing right now, is one of their airships.”
No more words left Tavern as he fell to his rump on the charred ground, paying no mind to the heat that was coming from the ground. He had indeed heard of the Shenron clan, along with Evening herself, both of them coming to know it as one of the most powerful clans to ever grace the presence of the Four Seas. They were known for possessing the powers and abilities that could be found by the most dangerous creatures known to equinekind; the dragons. With this power, their speed, strength, and magical prowess exceeded that of the three pony tribes. The thestral tribe, also known as the Nightstalkers, was the only race able to come even close to matching them, and even then, they’d have a bit of trouble trying to match them.
Now, on this beautiful night, one of their kind had decided to grace them with their presence, however banged and bloodied it may have been.
“Sweet Faust…” Tavern whispered; the news he was being given sending him in a daze. “Who would’ve thought that someone…from that family would come to the Forest of Freedom of all places.”
“Now do you understand how important it is for us to do what we can to help whoever is in this ship?” Evening asked as her beneficial friend looked up at her. “Who knows what happened to that poor pony while they were wherever they were?! It could be a stallion on the brink of death, o-or a mare in labor! Hell…there could even be a little foal in there!”
Tavern suddenly felt something sink into the bottom of his gut, the last statement being the cause of it. “How can you possibly know that even one of those last two statements are true?”
“Mare’s intuition.” Came Evening’s simple reply. “How else?”
‘Of course, it’s that!’ Tavern thought with a sweat drop. ‘It’s always that even when it’s not!’
“Anyway, enough dilly-dallying Tavern!” Evening said, trotting over to the ship and hunching down. “We need to get this pony out of here right now and take him to the underground city underneath the forest!” She grabbed onto a latch underneath the door and began to pull with all her might. “There has to be somepony there who can help us and them too!”
“You say that like you don’t know if they’ll help or not.” Tavern commented walking over to help Evening. “I thought you know your own species better than tha-”
Evening cried out as the latch she was so desperately pulling on suddenly burst open, sending the thestral mare crashing into the pegasus stallion. The sound of steam filled their ears as the hatch to the ship slowly rose, allowing the steam to rush out. Evening and Tavern waited until it was completely gone, before daring to take a look inside.
“Well, that didn’t take very long.” Tavern murmured, looking at Evening. “I guess your supernatural strength played a big part in it.”
“That…wasn’t really me Tavern.” Evening said dumbly, still trying to make sense of what had just happened. “I wasn’t really putting in much effort…it just opened up on its own.”
The silvery grey stallion glanced over at her. “Seriously? Why in the hell would an airship open up on its own?”
Both equine’s ears were then assaulted by the sound of soft crying coming from inside the now open airship. All other sounds were completely non-existent as Evening and Tavern let the sound resonate within their ears like a rhythm. Slowly, they turned to the open ship, and saw what looked to be something moving in some red cloth. They were broken out of their trance when they saw a hoof suddenly poke out.
The hoof of a newborn foal.
Evening was rushing towards the ship before her mind even knew what her body was doing, and both her hooves slammed into the sides of the ships entrance. It creaked and bent loudly in response to her using her unnatural strength to widen it, but she paid it no mind. Her cat-like eyes stared down at the red cloth holding the foal inside of it, the hoof still continuing to slowly move around. Evening began to tremble as instincts she didn’t realize she had suddenly flared to the surface, overwhelming her in ways she could not describe. Slowly, almost hesitantly, she reached down and pulled the cloth away, and a gasp left her immediately after.
The foal that was writhing in whimpering in the ship was the most precious thing that Evening had ever seen. She had seen a good number of foals in her years in the underground city, all of them cute in their own right. This little foal was on another level entirely, even though he was clearly a pegasus. He had palomino fur that was a rich creamy color that looked to be softer than any blanket, like one he was wrapped up in. The baby’s mane and tail were blacker than the sky enveloping the Forest of Freedom in its ebony darkness, with royal blue streaks running down the edges. The eye color could not be seen, for the foal’s eyes were closed, leaving Evening unaware of just how beautiful they’d be.
It was only when Tavern put a hoof on her shoulder and pushed her to the side that Evening got control of herself. “Hey, Evening…you okay? what do you-?” He trailed off when he saw the baby, and his jaw dropped. “Mother Wisewolf Holo Bijuu almighty…it really is a baby.”
“Who…who do you think he belongs to?” Evening asked, not noticing the shakiness that creeped up into her voice. “I…I-I don’t see anypony else in here.”
“Well duh, his scent is the only thing I can smell in here.” Tavern said somewhat dryly. “Now, are you just gonna stand there gawking at him? Or are you gonna pick him up and clean all that blood off of him?”
“B-blood? I don’t see any-” Evening gasped again, her words dissolving when she saw little red patches on various parts of the colt’s body. The thestral mare’s eyes widened again, realizing that in her shocked state she did not notice the blood surrounding the colt. Without even thinking, her hooves lunged forward preparing to take the colt in her arms…
…Only for her razor-sharp right hoof to cut right across the left side of the colt’s face.
“Evening!” Tavern yelled, horrified by what his friend just did. “What the hell?!”
“Ah, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to, honest!” Evening cried, one hoof coming to her mouth as the baby screamed. Before Tavern could stop her, Evening took the colt in her arms, bringing him to her chest fluff. “I’m sorry baby, I’m so sorry...there, there, it’s alright.”
“My Faust Evening how stupid can you fucking be!” Tavern snarled, looking like he was ready to slash Evening across her face. “It’s bad enough that he’s covered in blood, but then you have to go and give him anotherpotential injury?! He could have bruises on in him for all we know!”
“I said I was sorry, okay?!” Evening cried, stopping in her cleaning of the colt’s new wound with her tongue. “I-I wasn’t thinking, I was just so shocked by the blood that I wanted to get him out of there! I didn’t have control over myself, a-and…”
“Well look what that none-self-control did!” Tavern growled, his tail lashing out. “What’re you going to do next?! Pierce is neck with those curved fangs of…of…”
“…What?” Evening asked, noticing the pale look on Tavern’s face. “What is it?”
Body trembling, Tavern slowly pointed towards the colt, right where his chest and stomach could be seen rising and falling. Evening glanced down at the colt, and nearly dropped him to the ground when she saw a bloodied hole just below his chest. Due to how dry the blood was, it clearly was not bleeding that much anymore. The freshness of the wound, however, gave way to just how recent it was.
“W-what…what the fuck…?” Evening whispered. “W-why does he…?”
“Oh, fucking hell!” Tavern shouted in disgust, looking like he was going to throw up on the spot. “He has a fucking hole in his chest! What the hell happened to this colt?!”
Evening didn’t say anything, her tears doing it for her as she sobbed quietly, one of her hooves coming to touch the colt’s face. The colt’s own cries had died down due to the soothing comfort that Evening gave him, put the pain was still obvious on his face. “…We…we need to get him to the hospital, now! We need to take him to see Meadowbrook so she can get him looked at! Who knows how long he’s had this wound?!”
“You go on ahead, I’m gonna stay at this ship and see if there’s anything this little guy was given before he got here.” Tavern said, gesturing to the wood. “It might help him with all of those bruises and that chest wound he has. It’ll be fine, just go!”
Evening didn’t need to be told twice; her wings were flared and already sending her off after Tavern had barely finished his sentence. As he watched her go, he couldn’t help but see the air sparkling with the tears that were falling from her eyes. Tavern felt his heart clench, but he couldn’t blame Evening for feeling the way she was feeling now. He himself was moments ago from puking up what he had for dinner after seeing the colt’s injury. For such a thing to happen to a foal, and a mere newborn no less…
‘I am going to rip out the throat of whoever had done that to that poor little guy.’ Tavern thought darkly to himself as he looked inside the airship. ‘If I do find him or her that is…I may not, but if I do, is swear they will pay!’
Fighting down his rage, Tavern began to search through the interior of the colt’s airship. As he looked around, he found various things that did not look to be for a foal. The first thing he noticed was that there was a large combat suit, ranging from the color of green, white, and blue, with hind boots coming along with it. All of it was partially hidden underneath a gleaming green cloak, looking as if it was made from grass or leaves. A pair of bracelets was the next thing Tavern noticed, but he could see they were no ordinary bracelets, thanks to the draconic symbols he could see. Another cloak, this one being white, could be seen on the left side of the airship, having the symbol of an alicorn on the back of it. One item that stood out most to Tavern, was an envelope, having a coiled golden dragon in the center of it, holding the flap in place.
“A letter…well, at least we have something to go on in this whole fucking mess.” Tavern said, reaching inside and pulling the envelope out. “Hopefully this can tell us what the hell is going on so we can get to the bottom of this.”
Ripping the draconic sticker off, Tavern opened the flap and took the envelop out, letting its case fall to the ground beneath him. He then unfolded the letter before he began to read it, and felt his eyes slowly growing every second. Horror clouded his face as he began to tremble, like he had just come out of the that was all but washed of its water. By the time he finally finished reading it, Tavern shaking as if he had just woken up from a terrifying nightmare.
Eventually, he was able to snap himself out of and he all but dove into the ship, grabbing the essentials that were inside the baby’s airship. Using the large blanket, he dumped the items within it, enclosing the blanket around them, making it act like a sack. With that done, Tavern turned tail and flew as hard as he could into the forest in pursuit of Evening and the baby they fond. Desperate to try to catch up to the thestral mare, and tell her of the shocking news he found out.

Chapter 3 - The Colt of the Underground City
The first rays of sunlight peaked through the leaves and branches of the Forest of Freedom as it rose above the mountains in the vast distance. Nighttime shadows that grew from the trees and morphed with one another shrunk back into the trees. It was as if the light being produced from the sun scared the dark patches, making them scurry back into the safety of the trees. Any part of the forest that was not covered by the trees was lit up by the warm light, being done so in a way that made the forest seem magical. Animals that were sleeping or up throughout the night paid little attention to the incoming day, even as they got up to start it. Birds were flying around, and tweeting, squirrels and rabbits were hopping and scurrying around, and the biggest ones were foraging on the vegetation they walked upon. To any lover of nature, or somepony that just loves the quiet outdoors, this would be the place to resign in. For there would be no other wilderness or forest quite like this one.
As peaceful as it was, the herbivores of this forest had yet to realize that peace would soon be broken.
Unaware to the biggest plant eaters, a lone figure was stalking through the brush, coming ever closer to choosing one of them as their unlucky victims. Barely a sound could be heard by the unknown carnivore as it slowly made its way through the undergrowth. It used the vegetation as camouflage, its dark frame melting beautifully in the dark shadows of the greenery. The only things that could be seen poking out of the grass and bushes was the tuft of purple and black on its tail, as well as the jet-black and royal blue fur making up its tail tuft. One other aspect of the creature were its palomino creamy paws. Both shaped in a way that was very much like a dragon’s, giving one an inkling of just what kind of predator this was.
Only, this carnivore was no dragon…or at least, it was not entirely a dragon.
The beast out a low growl as it crept through the brushes and quietly stepped over the grass that towered over the dark brown soil. The soft padding under its paws gave it aid in muffling sound to the point where it could barely be heard, other than the producer itself. It did its best not to step on anything that may trigger any alarm or give its presence away, like the crumbling of rocks, or the snapping of twigs, both of which would spoil its hunt. Its ears flicked back and forth, up and down, listening out for any sign that the quarry it was looking for had detected its presence. The wind blew in its direction, as if it was guiding the scent of the target towards the feline, and it hit its nostrils are they flared out to sniff the air. Sensing its prey was still near, the cat continued its search, knowing that it was near, and its changes to make a kill were becoming higher.
It did not take very long for the unknown beast to find what she was looking for, and the sight of the soon-to-be meal in front of them nearly made it give itself away. It was a large stag, and easily more than several times as big as any normal deer’s and buffer as well. Its thick albino white coat shimmered in whatever light was piercing through the trees, giving it a soft white glow within the shade it was grazing in. Its unusually antlers stood tall and proud, set with razor-sharp cut piercing tips while a curved one could be seen on top of its nose. These assets showed that it would not be an easy feat for its attacker, but this did not sway it. For it know that if it got it right, the rewards, would be huge.
Even more so since it had the right combination of tools and assets to do it.
The whiskers on the carnivore’s head twitched almost robotically as it crept over closer to the stag, who did not yet notice it was being stalked. At one point, one of the cat’s hind hooves stepped down onto a twig, and the stag’s head shot up in alarm. The predator froze in place, hunching its body as low as it could go as its tail tuft twitched back and forth more eratically. It only stretched on for a couple of moments, but it felt much longer than that to the hungry prowler, who sighed with relief when the stag lowered its head again. Once it was back calm again, it crept just a couple of inches closer, claws slowly unsheathing from its paws. A barely audible growl rumbled from out of its throat as its muscles hunched, ready for chase about to come. It sucked in breath, before it let it lose in a startling roar as it leapt in the air, claws fulling jetting out, and glistening fangs bared.
The deer let loose a bleat of alarm, before swerving to the side and taking off down the slope that it was grazing atop of. It winced when it felt the draconic beast’s claws slash into its flank, and it faltered just the slightest, before picking up speed. The beast lashed its tail out before taking off after the stag, letting out another roar as it did.
The beating of the hooves of the deer and the padded paws of the creature was the only thing that was heard in the forest as they both took down the same path. That was soon broken when a nearby flock of birds flew into the distance, chirping and screeching loudly as the hunt began to take place. The deer and draconic beast where nothing more than white and grey burs as they took off along the threes and flattened the grass beneath them. At one point, they came to a fallen tree, and the deer, thinking it had the edge, leapt over it with hardly any effort. It looked back behind it, thinking that it was able to outrun its sabered pursuer. That thought diminished immediately when it saw the supposed meat eater leap over the log with a determined growl. The deer felt its fur stand on the back of its neck when it saw what looked to be wings partially unfurling on either of the beasts’ side.
Knowing that it needed to escape for its killer permeantly, the deer picked up its pace, heading straight down a bath that had large jagged rocks on either side. It made turns so sharp that it would’ve made anypony that wasn’t a pegasus fall in a tumbling heap on the ground. The beast however, had the edge, for it used it tail for counterbalance to prevent such a thing from happening, with its paw pads helping it get a flying start. As they stretched the distance from the rocks, the beast leapt at the deer’s hindlegs, and just barely managed to scratch at them. The deer continued in its frantic pursuit, going as fast as its slim legs could take it in a last-ditch effort to save its own life.
Against its own better judgment, the deer looked back, it nearly stopped when it saw that its killer was no longer there. It was as if it had suddenly vanished without a single trace of where it was, like it was never there in the first place. Although relieved, it didn’t slow its pace, wanting to make extra sure that the predator was gone for good. As it went up another slope, it didn’t notice the ambush planned up ahead, until it was too late.
When the deer looked in front of it again, it found itself looking into two twin orbs that reminded it very much of the sky. Only they were not the sky, but two eyes that very much reflected it; eyes that shone with hunger and desire. The next thing the deer knew it found the owner of those eyes slamming into it, and making them both tumble across the ground. Despite the force of the collision, the deer still managed regain its footing, only to feel something clamp around its muzzle as many sharp teeth piercing into it. Claws then grasped around its face, preventing it from seeing its attacker, but not from bucking and kicking for all its worth.
The deer stomped on its adversary, slammed it into nearby boulders and trees, and even body slammed into its foe, but the meat-eaters strength and will proved to be too much. It groaned and bleated right into the mouth of the one suffocating it, kicking its legs out for all they were worth. The overwhelming strength of the unknown carnivore was unfortunately too much, and it struggles slowly began to recede. The last thing the stag saw was the flashes of blue lighting its way from outside of the claws of its killer, before darkness enveloped it.
Once it was sure that the deer was down for the count, the unknown beast released the now motionless body, taking some time to recover from the hunt. Blood stained its paws and mouth from the wounds it inflicted on its hard-earned meal, his bodies attempting to cover from the rush. Once it did, swirls of magic appeared around the beast, letting nothing but their shadows being seen as it went into completely different form. When the magic went away, it revealed the last species any would expect to do something like this, as well as its size.
The pegasus colt shook his body like a dog coming out of water, wanting to get rid himself of any side-effects from his chase. His long jet-black mane fell over his eyes, the royal blue streaks brightly shining in the warm light of the golden sun. The tongue that protruded from his mouth ran over his lips and his fangs to lick off any patches of red, preventing anymore from dripping from his fangs. A shivered as the taste of blood coated his tongue, prompting him to go into his transformation again. Luckily, he managed to prevent it, and too a minute to keep his primal instincts from rising up again.
“I did it. I finally managed to catch a full-grown stag.” The colt said to himself as he looked down at the fallen deer. “I can’t believe that I had to go out that far in order to get it. Oh well…at least I was finally able to do it on my own.”
Looking up into the sky, the colt couldn’t help but stare into the sun that was basking him in its bright yellow glow. The wind suddenly rushed in, blowing at his mane and tail and making it flow in the breeze, and give a cool feeling to the colt. He closed his eyes, letting himself feel the gentle force of the wind combining with the warmth of the sun, as if it was greeting him on this fine morning. A soft smile came to his precious face as he inhaled the air, the breeze filling him with contentment as he exhaled through his muzzle. With a giggle, he reached down and hoisted the deer onto his back, beginning his trek back into the forest.
“Well, I guess it’s time for me to get this big guy in the fire! Oh, I know that Evening Glory ’ll be so happy I made my very own kill!” The colt said as he dragged the deer carcass along with him back down the slope. “I can’t wait to see the look on her face when she sees that I managed to get an Albino Elk, no doubt her jaw will drop! Hm…I wonder what she could be doing right now…”
-XXXXX-
Evening Glory’s back hit the wall of her dark bedroom from within her bar as Wood Tavern pinned her too it, both of their lips locking together. The former moaned into the mouth of the latter as the stallion’s hooves roamed along her voluptuous body. The mare’s forelegs went tightly around the stallion’s neck as his tongue darted into her mouth. Evening let out a startled cry that was muffled by the lip lock, but relaxed as Tavern’s tongue ran across her mouth. She tried to reciprocate the action, but her friend was proving to be pretty dominant at the moment. Not that it was really bothering Evening; after all, there was hardly a time where Tavern wasn’t dominant when it came to their little romps.
Tavern soon broke the kiss, the need for air in his lung prevailing in in the battle of him wanting to make out with Evening more. He panted heavily with his tongue sticking out to the side as he stated lustfully into Evening’s eyes. The thestral mare stared back at him, an eager smile on her muzzle as her slitted yellow orbs sliced into his blue ones with just as much excitement. Before either knew it, both of them were kissing again, smacking sounds popping in the air as their tongues coiled and wrapped around like snakes.
“Heh, your skills at kissing are just as good as they’ve always been Evening.” Tavern said lowly as they both broke for air once more. “Even after all eight of these ears, I can sense that you haven’t slacked off in this even once.”
“Look who’s talking Tavern.” Evening hissed, baring her curved fangs at her friend. “This coming for the stallion who almost always takes the lead whenever we fuck each other anywhere we can. I swear, it’s like you’re trying to act like an alpha wolf each time we do this!”
“Well why shouldn’t it? I do come from a family that holds things like hierarchy to the highest standards.” Tavern grinned, one of his hooves reaching down to grope Evening’s rump. “If I don’t show my dominance where it’s needed, including here, it’ll make me look bad to the rest of the pack, and I can’t have that.”
“Is that so?” Evening crooned. “Well, why don’t you show me just how dominant, you are?”
Tavern growled compliantly. “Don’t mind if my do, my little Evening~.”
With a heave, Tavern threw Evening onto her bed and wasted no time in diving his muzzle right into her snatch. Evening gasped sharply as he began to ravage her pussy, and bit her lip to keep her moans from echoing about the room. Too bad for her, Tavern wasn’t having any of that, and grabbed both of her forelegs and pressed them to her sides.
‘Oh no you don’t, I wanna hear those sweet moans of yours.’ Tavern though as Evening struggled to keep her mouth shut. ‘I want every single thestral in this city and this bar to her your sweet sounds of glory!’
As if reading his mind, Evening eventually gave in and released her squeals of pleasure, her hindlegs kicking around Taverns head. A shiver went up her back as she felt his tongue press and pierce in her insides and send wave after wave of bliss throughout her body. Her wings flared out, the claws slicing into the sheets and the air as her mouth flowed with drool. Evening’s cries reached a new volume when she felt Tavern sucking on her folds, making her enclose his hindlegs around her head.
“O-oh Tavern, I love the feeling of your tongue in my pussy!” She panted as she looked down at the stallion. “You always know how to really get a mare where she really likes it~!”
Tavern growled into Evening’s insides, before he pulled out and licked the juices off his muzzle, presenting his teeth as he grinned. “You’re damn right I do Evening! If there’s one thing I’m good at other than asserting my authority, hunting, training, and building, it’s making a mare scream in a way that she loves! And I’m about to make you scream in a way that I’ve always made you do!”
The light grey pegasus crawled on top of the darker grey thestral, letting him get a glimpse of the rock-hard erection dangling between his legs. Evening only had a few seconds to view it, before she felt that rod impale her cunt and fill her right to her womb. A moan escaped Evening as she threw her head back, her hooves gripping the sheets, as she clenched down on Tavern’s cock tightly. The stallion wasted no time and proceeded to ram his way in and out of Evening, pinning her to the bed as it creaked and rocked violently.
Tavern growled and snarled in pleasure as he claimed the bat mare beneath her, who did her best to meet his thrusts with her own hips. Her lips found themselves meeting Tavern’s own as they roughly made out, their sweat mixing with one another as their fur pressed against each other. They ignored the sharp fangs that Evening had poking from her mouth; Tavern even going so far as to suck on them. Evening shivered in delight at this, and she grabbed the back of his head to press his lips even harder against her own albeit gently as to not cut his lips.
Tavern pulled his lips away from his beneficial friend, much to her disappointment, but it was soon by what he said next. “Oh yeah, I’m gonna cum, Evening! I am so gonna fill you to the brim!”
Evening squeaked in response, wrapping her forelegs around Tavern’s waist in an effort to keep him inside, not that it was really needed. “Do it! Do it Tavy, filly my little batty cunt with your doggy cream and mark me as your own! Shoot inside me and show me the alpha wolf you say you are!”
“You got it my gloriously beautiful bat!” Tavern barked, leaning down and biting onto Evening’s shoulder as he pounded her with all his might. Evening screamed into the ceiling as Tavern poured all of his remaining strength in his thrusts, his stamina helping it last. Before long, the stallion reached his peak, and with one powerful and rough thrust, he released his thick gooey sperm into Evening. Her screams of ecstasy and passion turned into ones of guttural moans as her womb flooded with Tavern’s cum, spreading a pleasant warmth through her beautiful body. Tavern howled as he buried himself inside of Evening, making sure that no drop was wasted and stayed inside of her.
“Ooooh fuck~…” Tavern sighed as he collapsed on top of Evening, panting heavily. “That was amazing, even more than the last time.”
Evening nodded as she stroked the stallion’s mane with her hoof. “It was…it so was~.” She sighed, draping another foreleg over Tavern’s back. “You have no idea how much I needed this after the week that I’ve had. I needed to get myself laid so much.”
“I can tell. Hell, you were just about ready to bite my dick off if I didn’t take you.” Tavern said, resting his head into Evening’s chest fluff. “Those ponies from Woodland Village are really running you ragged with the food and drinks, huh? I’ve never seen you so close to snapping at somepony in my life, and that’s saying a lot.”
“Well, can you blame me? It’s not like they’re being particularly friendly to me and the other bat ponies underground.” Evening snorted, her muzzle gaining a bit of a frown. “I swear, I feel like the only reason that they’re even coming to my bar is to piss me off. Along with criticizing me about eating specific foods I serve with my customers. Just because I have a craving for meet that doesn’t mean that I’m suddenly gonna eat them like I’m a zombie!”
“Well, that’s just how some ponies are I’m afraid. Too much of assholes to really look underneath your families fierce exterior.” Tavern murmured as he rolled off of Evening and stared into her eyes. “At least Makino treats you fairly besides me and Meadowbrook, along with my little sister Luffyko. Otherwise I wouldn’t even bother even going to that village in the first place.”
“Same here, but, our sweet little Luffyko loves that place, because she gets to see Makino and she gives her all the food she wants.” Evening said, her frown turning into a smile. “Not only that, but because the Nocturnal Nation us under the Foosha Village, with the Forest of Freedom just behind the entrance. So, she gets to come and see me and Broly too, which is an added bonus for me.”
“Don’t forget that you can come to see me and Luffyko anytime you want too.” Tavern added, stretching out on Evening’s bed. “We pretty much established that when we found Broly and took him to Meadowbrook eight years ago.”
“Yeah, I do…I just wish I could go there without having to deal with the crap from a majority of the ponies in Foosha.” Evening muttered as she stared up at her bedroom ceiling. “I swear, ponies really need to stop being so judgmental all the time…and hypocritical. They don’t bat an eye when they see you and Luffyko go into different forms, but they all but attack me when they see me! Are they just that blind or what?!”
“I think they are...but it’s not like anything we haven’t seen before.” Tavern sighed, stroking Evening’s chest fluff. “Ponies don’t accept things that they don’t understand, and they’ll do all they can to make it known that they don’t want it anywhere around them. It’s just something that your family and others like you have to deal with.”
“Yeah, I know…still, I just wish I can go out of this city and met one pony who doesn’t mind me looking like a vampire, besides Makino and Meadowbrook.” Evening sighed dejectedly, before smiling. “At least I have you, your pack, Luffyko and Broly to keep me company and sane, especially Broly. I swear, every time I’m around him, I just feel so content. Even with all the difficulties I had raising him, he just…I don’t know, he completesme. I don’t know how, but he just does~.”
“Well, that’s just how Broly is.” Tavern chuckled. “He just has this air about him that makes ponies want to be around the pup, no matter who they are. Even those who reject Broly at first will eventually begin to grow fond of him. No matter how much they don’t want to admit it otherwise.”
“Heh, got the nail in the, wood tavern, on that one~.” Evening said somewhat jokingly, earning a playful punch to her shoulder by her bed buddy. “You know, I really hope that Broly stays the way he is, and keeps that side of him with him when he grows up. Something tells me that if Broly keep this little charm about him, he’s gonna gain friends that’ll stay with him through thick and thin. He did it with little Luffyko, so I’m sure he can do it with anypony else.”
“Me too Evening Glory.” Tavern murmured, wrapping a foreleg around the bat mare to pull her closer to him. “I do too.”
Broly skipped happily across the streets of Nocturnal City as he carried the albino deer on his back, greeting bat ponies left and right along the way. The carcass was currently tied in rope in a way that would make it a bit easier for the colt to carry his prize. He had made a bit stop to the village of Foosha up above the city for some rope after exiting out of the northern part of the Forest of Freedom. One of the ponies there, a pegasus mare named Makino, who owned the bar in the village, had kindly offered him some rope to help tie the deer within itself. Although he didn’t have any problems in carrying his kill thanks to his monstrous strength, he didn’t decline Makino’s offer in some extra assistance. It was getting a little tiresome to have to literally drag his prize over himself on his way back to the village anyway. Anything that can help him get back home to Evening Glory’s bar faster to show what he got; he was willing to take. Even if it seemed a little unnecessary to him and waste of good material.
“Hey there Broly, good to see you back!”
“Whoa, that’s a big kill you hauled in; nice work!”
“Is that an Albino Deer?! How the hell did you get that?”
“Hi Broly! Do you wanna come have a sleepover at my Mom’s house?”
The young colt gave a little smile to every bat pony he passed, returning the greetings that he was given as he walked along the streets. He couldn’t help but blush when he saw some of the fillies waving at him, smiling sweetly. Broly did his best to respond back to them and politely turn down their request, but his words came out in little stutters instead. Thankfully, none of the fillies seemed bothered by it, finding themselves to be more amused than anything, and finding his actions rather cute. The pleasant distraction caused him to stumble and nearly drop the kill that he was carrying but managed to catch it just in time. Although he did get a faceplant of the black ground he was walking on, earning a few laughs from some nearby thestrals. Broly propped himself back up and shook the dust from his face, snorting it from his eyes as he continued down to his destination.
Before long, he had finally made it to Evening’s nighttime bar, smiling when he saw the glowing sign and bat pony mare glowing in the center. With a bit of speed in his step, he galloped towards it and all but tore through the doors. As he did so, the deer he had successfully killed ended up getting wedged in between the doors.
“Oh shit…it’s stuck in between the doors, dammit!” Broly cursed, trotting over to the tied kill, his forelegs turning into claws. Gaining a firm clawful of the deer, he began to try to yank it out of the door. “Come on…c-come on big guy…get…in…t-this…door, rrgh!”
As Broly tried to get his prize inside of the bar, Wood Tavern and Evening Glory came from the other side of the bar’s interior. When they saw the colt and what he was doing, the latter blinked and asked, “Broly? Is that you sweetie?”
The raven-haired colt gave a jolt at the sound of his name being called, the act giving him the extra strength he needed to get the deer inside of the building. He then found both himself and the dead deer colliding with Evening, who somehow managed to stay where she was and not get flattened. Tavern as not so lucky, and the deer that Broly caught collided with him, sending him crashing right into the shelves full of drinks with a resounding crash.
“Faustdammit Broly!” Tavern shouted angrily, a comical tick mark appearing on his head as he shot up from the floor. “Watch where you throw that thing!”
“Evening!” Broly exclaimed as he looked up at the thestral mare. “You’re…in the bar!”
“Well of course I’m in the bar baby, it is where I work.” Evening replied. “What’s that you got there?”
“Oh, it’s an Albino Deer that I got while I was out hunting in the Forest of Freedom!” Broly replied, smiling as he turned to face Evening. “I had gotten up early in morning and took the closet route to the forest so I can try to get one!”
“Awww, you did?” Evening cooed, smiling back at the colt before looking back at the deer that Tavern had hoisted on the table. “Oh Broly, I’m so proud of you! You managed to get one of the most abundant herbivores in the forest! All by yourself too!”
“Yeah, that was honestly pretty impressive.” Tavern commented, looking he dead deer up and down. “What’s with the rope you got around it?”
“Oh yeah, I had gotten it from Makino while I was going through Foosha village.” Broly replied, nonchalantly. “I was having a bit of trouble carrying the deer back down here, Makino offered to help me tie it up in a way as to where I can carry it a lot more easily. I did have to go through the village to get to the cave entrance so.”
“Ah, I see…that does make sense.” Evening muttered softly, nodding as she affectionately rubbed Broly’s mane spikey. “You did great work today Broly, you’re hunting lessons are getting better and better with each day. At this rate, you’ll be able to wrangle with the biggest animals in this entire forest of abnormality.”
Broly promptly blushed, his palomino cheeks turning pink as he looked away. “W-well…I did learn from the best, which is you. S-so I was only following the lessons in hunting that you showed me, e-even if you weren’t there to see it.”
“I didn’t need to be there to see it, at least not this time.” Evening cooed softly, lowering her head to plant a kiss on Broly’s forehead. “This right here tells me just how much you’ve improved, just like how you are in your training with Emerald Jade! By the time you’re up to me and Tavern’s level, you’ll be able to take on practically anypony here.”
“Thank you…” Broly said quietly, nuzzling into Evening’s chest. “I know I get there someday.”
“Oh, you better believe you will.” Evening nodded, hugging Broly close to him. “I can see it happening already~.”
It had been over eight long years since Broly had come to the Forest of Freedom and became a part of the Nocturnal Nation. Or, more specifically, when Evening Glory and Wood Tavern had found him in on the night of the Full Lunar Moon. Of all the things that she expected to be thrust upon her, finding a foal that was from the most powerful family ever to grace the Four Seas was not one of them. It was honestly something that the thestral mare didn’t think would ever happen to her, let alone to Wood Tavern or Meadowbrook. Nor did she think she’d be the one to take care of such a pony and raise him within a species hated and feared by all who see them. Despite this, there was not one instance that she ever regretted taking in Broly, even if it was under the urging of her bed buddy and doctor friend.
That near decade of raising him was some of the most rewarding years of Evenings life, as all as the rest of her home. Sure, there were some rough patches here and there, a couple learning what it was like to raise a foal that had unfathomable bucketloads of power. That was okay with her, since Evening and just about every other thestral in Nocturnal Nation was devilishly powerful as they were attractive. It even served to make the experience all the more pleasant for her, even if she spent more than a few sleepless nights in the process. While she didn’t know what the future held for Broly, she knew he was on his way to something great. Evening was just not aware of how great that thing would be.
“Well, it looks like I know why you weren’t in your bed this morning now.” Evening murmured, stepping away from Broly. A frown came to her fanged muzzle as she looked at him with utter disapproval. “Why didn’t you tell me that you were out in the forest today? I was getting really worried that something may have happened to you.”
Broly’s chipper smile turned into bashful frown, his bangs covering his eyes as he lowered his head to the floor. “I…I’m sorry Evening. I didn’t mean to make you upset…you just looked so peaceful when you slept, and…I didn’t want to way you. I guess that wasn’t my smartest idea.”
“No honey, it wasn’t.” Evening shook her head firmly. “Honestly, I was just about ready to tear this whole bar down looking for you! You’re lucky that Wood Tavern was here to tell me where you had gone, otherwise I really would’ve gone crazy.”
“Hey, don’t be so hard on him Evening, he didn’t mean it.” Tavern said, coming to a guilty-looking Broly’s defense. “Not that he shouldn’t have just let without telling you anything, but you and I both know he frequently goes into the forest. So, it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise where he went, since he almost always goes there.”
“Well, even so he should’ve warned me, that way I wouldn’t have felt like I was going to slice this entire place down.” Evening said, glaring sternly at her bed buddy. “And don’t think you’re so innocent in this either Tavern. I am so going to kick your wolf-tailed ass during out next sparing session this afternoon.”
Tavern winced as he shrunk a bit, not out of fear, but embarrassment. “Oh joy…”
Huffing, Evening turned to look back down at Broly, taking a small mouthful of his ear and tugging lightly. “And as for you, young colt, don’t go running off like that again, you hear me?” She said, her tone still gentle, yet firm. “I know you want to test out the new powers you’ve awakened, but you should always make a point to let us know where you are beforehoof. The last thing I want is to be pulling at my mane and biting my hooves till they bleed wondering where you are, understand?”
“Yes, I understand Evening, I’m sorry.” Broly replied, wincing a bit at the sharp teeth that nipped at his ear. “I’ll let you know when I’m going into the Forest of Freedom next time.”
“You’d better…or else you’ll be getting a good dose of my Crimson Glare.” Evening said, frowning at Broly for a bit longer. She sighed as her eyes softened, and she wrapped a wing around the colt and pulled him close to her again. “I’m not that mad at you Broly, I promise. It’s just, I’m always concerned about whether your safe or not when you go off on your own. if anything were to happen to you, the I’d…”
“I know…I’m sorry, really I am.” Broly said, nuzzling into his mother figure. “I swear, I’ll make sure to not run off so carelessly. Like the last few times that I had done it.”
“I’m glad to hear it.” Evening nodded, kissing Broly in his forehead. “So, how was it today out in the underground city today? Any of the bat ponies give you any trouble after you came back here from your hunt?”
“No, they haven’t! They’ve actually been really nice today, a couple even offered to help carry my deer over to your bar!” Broly replied, his chipper mood coming back. “They didn’t really need to do that; I’m already strong enough as it is. I’m only going to get stronger the more I grow up!”
“You have no idea…” Tavern muttered; his voice so low that only Evening could hear him.
“That may be true, but you shouldn’t underestimate us thestrals Broly. We can pack quite the punch as well.” Evening winked as she guided Broly over to the table of her bar. “You’ve seen it happen yourself whenever me and Tavern have our daily afternoon spars together.”
“Yeah, when we’re not in a clearing or in your bed going at it like rabbits in a field.” Tavern chuckled, earning him a tail slap to the face from Evening.
“I know that you’re plenty strong Evening Glory, and so is Wood Tavern!” Broly replied, smiling merrily. “You’ve proven that plenty of times whenever you destroy some of the clearings you two spar in. Hell, I remember one time I was watching you to fight, Evening Glory released a fire technique so powerful that she nearly caused a wildfire, heehee!”
“T-that was in the heat of the moment!” Evening said, blushing as Tavern laughed. “B-besides, I was trying to get back at Tavern for trying to cup a feel when I was trying to recover from nearly getting clawed in the face!”
“Hey, it’s not my fault that I was so mesmerized by your ass!” Tavern defended sticking his tongue out at the thestral mare. “Plus, I always like it when you get it running, it jiggles at that much better when you do it just right, just like Meadowbrook and all the other mares here.”
Evening threw one of the knives she was using at Tavern, watching as he lazily dodged and let the knife hit the nearby wall. “Do not make me fucking kill you, you ass!” She growled with a tick mark.
“Tavern’s not an ass Evening, he’s a pegasus.” Broly corrected innocently. “He doesn’t have rabbit ears, a tail skirt, and he’s not super short like me.”
“It was a vulgar insult Broly.” Tavern explained patiently, walking over and taking the knife out of the wall. “She didn’t mean I was an ass literally.”
“Oh, right.” Broly said bashfully. “Sorry.”
“Anyway, so you had a good walk around the city hm?” Evening asked as she began to chop the deer up in giant pieces. “Did you run into any cute little fillies along the way?”
Broly jumped, his cheeks turning pink as his tail flickered back and forth. “U-um…m-maybe?”
“Oh, really now?” Evening cooed, smirking knowingly. “Did you say anything to them? No, wait, did they say anything to you? Maybe…offer to do something with you?”
“Well…Martha asked me if I wanted to spend the night over at her house tonight.” Broly said, running his hooves across the table. “I…didn’t really say anything to her.”
“You didn’t accept it?!” Tavern shouted, slamming his hooves on the table as he hovered in front of a surprised Broly. “Are you fucking nuts?! How could a colt your age not accept an invitation to stay at a cute little filly’s house?! Each and every single thestral filly and mare in this city are all drop dead gorgeous in their own right for both stallions and colts! Any colt or stallion would have to be an idiot not to accept staying a night with them?! How could you let an opportunity like that slip by so easily?!”
“She’s right you know Broly.” Evening nodded, smiling slyly at the colt. “You have a lot of adorable little fillies practically throwing themselves at you~. Maybe you can take some time out of your day with us and Meadowbrook and spend some time with them~.”
Broly blushed even harder, both of his wings coming to cover his face as he whimpered. Evening was right; he did have thestral fillies fawning over him from time to time. It was nothing on the romantic scale, far from it, since he wasn’t quite at that age yet. The fillies just found his bashful sweetness to be really cute and couldn’t help but playfully tease him about it. As much as he appreciated the kindness, he couldn’t help but be pretty embarrassed and nervous of what would happen if it happened around the parents. It wasn’t that he was scared of what their mothers would thing, since they practically did the same thing. Tt was the fillies’ more…protective parents that he was concerned about.
“I…don’t really know about that.” Broly said shyly. “I-it’s not that I don’t want to. It’s just that I really don’t know if I’d be okay for me to stay with them…at least with the fillies. I-I mean, what if one of their dads think that I might do something to their daughters? I do have the powers of a dragon after all, and the last thing they’d want is to see the fillies with second- or third-degree burns.”
Evening and Tavern burst out laughing, the latter nearly dropping her knives as she held her stomach. Once they managed to calm down and keep themselves from getting injured, the latter finally spoke. “Oh Broly, is that what you’re worried about? That the fathers might bring the wrath of an overprotective daddy down on you for even touching their little girls?” She asked, wiping at her eyes. “Baby, you are nowhere near the age to be even try to do something like that, so they can’t threaten to suck you dry…yet.” She mumbled the last part so Broly would be able to hear it, but the shiver he gave let her know he did. “And if they try to, you don’t have to worry…you’ll have me to make sure that they don’t even try, lest they get their balls drained.” A small dark smirk came to her face. “And not in the good way either.”
Tavern shivered, his eyes going white as he clenched his hindlegs together. ‘Scary!’
“What bad way is that Evening?” Broly asked curiously.
“Nothing baby, I’ll tell you when you’re older.” Evening replied, winking at the colt. “Anyway, back to the topic at hoof. I understand our concern, but you shouldn’t let the fear of a father’s wrath stop you from making more friends here in Nocturnal Nation. A lot of the thestral mares, stallions, and foals here love you already, so it shouldn’t be too hard. Besides, you do need much more friends other than me, Tavern, Meadowbrook, Jade, Luffyko.”
“But Luffyko’s the same age as me.” Broly pointed out. “You said that I needed friends my own age and I have her, and she’s just a few months younger than me.”
“Yes, she is, but that’s only one friend that you have your age Broly.” Evening explained. “I’m saying that you should expand your friend circle, and not just one friend. It’s not very healthy for you to say in solitude all the time and not have a social group. It’ll help improve your health if you get more than one colt or filly to be with you.”
“Evening’s got a point.” Tavern said, throwing a foreleg around the mare. “Although Luffyko is definitely a filly who anypony would want to befriend, you shouldn’t just stop with her. There’s plenty of other ponies, thestral or otherwise, that you can hook up with. Sure, they may be put off by your powers, but they’ll eventually grow to accept it. As real friends should do, which is accept others for who and what they are.”
Evening smiled in approval at Tavern. “That’s right, and if they don’t…well, then they’re not the right ones to click with, simple as that.”
Broly stayed quiet as he listened to his mother and father figure converse with him, taking in their words like a breath of fresh air. He looked down at his hooves, then at the entrance of the bar as bat ponies both big and small roamed around the town. His piercing blue eyes took in their happy expressions, the foals mainly as they laughed and giggled, either playing, hugging, or just talking with one another. Broly then thought back to the small chit-chat he had with some of the thestral fillies, and how a couple of them offered to let him play with them. He turned back to Evening and Tavern, looking at his palomino hooves for a second, before he looked back at his older fellow flyers.
“You know…it is still morning, even though it’s gonna go into the afternoon.” Broly said softly, his mane falling in front of his eyes. “I still have some time to maybe play with the other foals, and even Luffyko if she comes down to visit. So, I suppose I could try to expand my friend circle, if not here, then maybe up above.”
“There we go, that’s the spirit sweetie!” Evening gushed, smiling widely. “Don’t worry, it may not look it now, but you’ll be able to gain ponies that you know will stick by you thick and thin. All the foals here have taken a liking to you. So what’s to say that the other foals up above in Woodland village won’t either?”
“Hey there, let’s not get too optimistic there Evening.” Tavern said warningly. “The thestrals maybe cool with Broly and Luffyko, but that doesn’t mean all the ponies will either. So it’d be wise for Broly to choose his friends carefully, lets he get himself into some…heated situations.”
“I know I know; I’m just saying that Broly shouldn’t be completely doubtful in his efforts in making suitable friendships.” Evening snorted rolling his eyes. “You never know when those few friends are right around the corner, just waiting to be sought out.”
“Yeah, that’s true.” Tavern sighed. “Hopefully it’ll go better than your own attempts before you had met Makino and Meadowbrook.”
“Don’t remind me.” Evening shuddered violently, breaking away from Tavern and turning back to preparing. “Anyway, let’s get this deer cooking and ready to eat! Then, after we’re done, we’ll take Broly over to see Luffyko and see if she wants to go to Martha’s house later on tonight. I’m sure that little sweetheart would love for that to happen~.”
“Well, knowing Martha, I know that’d be something she’d absolutely love.” Tavern replied, looking over at Broly. “You don’t for that little buddy?”
“Sure.” Broly nodded, smiling brightly as his blue eyes gleamed. “I haven’t really seen much of Luffyko in the last few days. So it’d be really nice to see a familiar face here again to help me try to relax and kick back.” He looked back at the Evening Bar entrance again as his expression became inquisitive. “Hmmm…I wonder what she’s doing right now.”
“Probably stuffing her face with a cave full of buffalo or some other poor animal she’s caught today.” Tavern chuckled, shaking his head. “After mom and dad are done getting their asses kicked by her during training. I swear, that filly has a stomach like that of a void and the relentlessness of a hellhound.”
Evening giggled. “Isn’t that the truth Tavey!”
Author's Note
First off, let me just start off by saying that the beginning of the chapter with the deer chase was something that I had thought up from the movie of Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs, because I had no idea of how I should star the beginning of this chapter
. I did originally think of adding a little training scene between Evening Glory and Broly, but I deiced to same something similar to that sometime later in the next chapter, especially for something special that I have planned between Evening Glory and Broly
. As for the rest of the chapter, I wanted to show how Broly is treated within the Underground City of Nocturnal Nation, which will be a complete contrast to how he is treated up above with in the village of the Forest of Freedom, along with another foal that I will be introducing in the next chapter. I won't give out any spoilers, but let's just say that this filly will be more or less like a certain straw hat captain that many of us may or may not know, and will probably help in bringing some comedy relief throughout this story.
This chapter was, as stated in the last note is a bit of a glimpse into the daily life of our draconic colt, and more will be reviled as the story progresses. I'll try not to make this story sound too much like the canon One Piece since that's the area I'm mainly focusing on, with the little addition of Dragon Ball Z, but there may be some things that're familiar in this story, while a few other things might be a little bit different
. Whatever the case, I'll stick to that route as best I can, especially since I'm combining three crossovers in this entire thing, which I know will be one hell of a hassle in some areas
.
Anyway that's all for tonight; tune in next time for the introduction of a chipper and optimistic filly who is one hell of a wolf on the inside
!
