This is my first story I have ever posted to Fimfic, more or less this is the first story iv'e had the courage to upload, but I have overcome that and finally decided to post something I have been wanting to write about for awhile.

I was out again making money in some.. Unorthodox ways, its not good work and it’s not great work. It is just dirty. Very dirty work. Most would look down on my occupation and turn their heads as they would say ‘’such a waste of pony’' the comments hurt at first but you get used to them over time, I’ve now been working the block probably since I dropped of high school during my sophomore year, it was just enough scraped up money to where I can rent out a motel room for one night out of the week and the rest of the week trying to make up the money I used for the motel.

As I finished my last ‘customer’ of the day, I unfolded my wing and took a look at how much money I had made today which was again, not enough. I had just enough to buy myself something small which was nice, tucking the bits back into my wing I took a few steps and peered around the dimly lit sidewalks and nodded to myself as it was clear.

I planned out in my head where I would go to sleep tonight than where I would eat the next day and came to a stop in front of the train station, looking for the cleanest bench I spotted one that was as clean as a bench would get and walked towards it. Taking a stop in front of it I removed my hoof full of bits and stuffed them into my nether regions so no one would try and steal them.

I climbed onto the bench and fixed myself into a prone position and curled my hindlegs into my stomach and wrapped my wings around my body to shield from the outside world, I closed my eyes and tried to catch a bit of sleep. Which was highly unlikely due to the cold metallic surface I was laying on.

The next thing I knew I was disturbed from the darkness of sleep by somepony poking me in the side of my face, groggily opening my eyes and I looked up at the pony as I blinked out the sleep from my eyes and came face to face with a white muzzle with a golden helmet ‘great’. The sleepiness immediately left me as I sat up and set my wings back onto my back and I gave him a questioning look as he outstretched his hoof to my left as I slowly followed it until my enlarged eyes came to a stop on a sign.

*Sleeping on public benches after hours is cause for prosecution*

‘’How the fuck did I not notice that?’’ my eyes widened as I realized I said that out loud and turned to face the guard who now had a lit up horn that waved wing restrictors in my face. I took a glance at him than the cuffs than to him and back to the cuffs until I finally came up with a decision.

Without giving him time to react I unfurled my wings and pushed a gust of wind into his face as he took a step back and put up a shield. I took this as a chance and flew off and away from the train station with his voice drowning out to the sound of my heart beating in my chest. Craning my head too look backwards every few minutes I saw that I was long gone and let my flapping slowdown and came to a stop in the middle of the air as I hovered with a hoof to my chest, trying to slow down the beating of my heart I slowly lowered myself to the ground and landed on the sidewalk.

Letting out a sigh of relief as I looked up at the sky to see the sun rising from behind a cloud and chuckled to myself. ‘’Aw man..’’ I took a quick look around me and only found the occasional pony walking down the sidewalks ‘’that was close’’. Shaking my head to get rid of my nerves I reached down and pulled out my bit stash, I looked around for the nearest food store or restaurant and laid my eyes on a grocery store a few blocks away.

Licking my dry lips, I decided on what I was going to do next and ventured forwards to the store to buy some water and maybe a snack to quench my now noticeable growling stomach.

Feeling satisfied with myself, I exited the store with a medium sized water bottle in my wings and a mouthful of choc-bites to keep myself going. I looked up into the sky and wondered what I would do next and caught sight of some pegasi moving and rearranging clouds, its interesting what a pony could do if they actually had a good education. But I took those dark thoughts and pushed them back into the edges of my conscious and tried to focus on something else, like... that group of mares! I noticed the group of mares consisting of a white unicorn mare with a styled purple mane and tail ‘nice and classy I bet’ than there was a pink earth pony that was slightly on the chubbier side if you looked hard enough that was energetically bouncing on the balls of her hooves with an equally energetic messy hair of a darker shade of pink ‘definite crack head’.

I chuckled at my own thoughts as I looked at the rest of them, an orange earth pony mare of a stout build with a cowpony hat adorning her blonde braided mane and tail ‘hmm nice and built... probably a farmer’ I frowned at my own dumb thought and looked at the remaining three; a purple unicorn wit.. Wait.

I blinked a few times as I registered her wings along her barrel ‘an alicorn?’ she was a head taller than the rest of them and her face wore an infectious smile, I had to deter my focus from the seemingly random alicorn princess and looked at her last two group mates. Two pegasi, one was a buttermilk color with a long pink hair that covered part of her face ‘a shy type I presume’ and the last one was the one who stood out the most, she was a cyan colored mare with hair that looks as if it was taken right of the chromatic spectrum ‘and she’s most likely the athletic one’.

I noticed the orange one had caught me staring at them and I quickly turned my head away from them and quickly speed trotted down the sidewalk ‘don’t say anything don’t say anything I’m not a creep!’ I keep my gaze focused on the sidewalk.

A wave of fear washed over me as I heard a scratchy voice yell out to me. ‘’Hey!’’ I looked at this as another reason to start trot faster ‘just keep going and they’ll lose interest’ my ears picked up a whistling noise and I turned around to see the cyan pegasus quickly flying towards me with her friends behind her albeit a long ways behind her but still, they were trying to keep up.

‘Fuck this’. Unfurling my wings and not noticing the water bottle slip out and fall onto concrete as It bounced and came in contact with the mare by bumping her in the nose. ‘’Ow!’’ flapping my wings I looked behind me once more and saw her speeding even faster towards me with a little red mark on her nose and a harsh shade of red radiating her face.

‘’Oh shit.. oh fuck!’’ I narrowly dodged her by taking a sharp turn up into the air. Watching her flip in midair to face me made me turn and fly as fast as a mantis escaping his female counterpart to avoid being beheaded, tucking my wings to the side and banking to the right gave me a little breathing room against her as she flew too quickly and almost smacked face first into the corner store front.

A myriad of thoughts sped their way into and out of my head as I kept taking sharp turns every couple of blocks until I finally turned and almost came face to face with a brick wall until I beat my wings against the wind and stopped almost instantly while hovering down onto the floor. Looking behind I saw no sign of her and sighed in relief but didn’t let my guard down. Looking up into the darkening sky, I watched as the sun was shifted to set behind a cloud and be replaced by a beautiful bright white sphere in the sky.

I stupidly didn’t hear the light flapping noise behind me by being too mesmerized by the moon and slowly turn around as something rolled into my hind leg, looking down to see a can I sighed ‘’oh.. I thought that wa—agh!’’ in my short breathe of relief I was caught off guard and tackled by a cyan blur as I banged the back of my head on the street.

I woke up in complete darkness..

‘Well shit.. I wasn’t expecting me to die until my eighteenth birthday!’
