On a business trip to prove herself to the other prominent businessponies of Equestria, Diamond Tiara finds it difficult to fill the horseshoes left behind by her father, to say the least. Matters are made worse when a freak accident leaves the survivors stranded in a patch of Equestrian wilderness few dare to tread.

Though aided by a dear friend through such a troubling time, both her environment and her company pose an unprecedented threat to her survival.
