A few days passed as I was dragged from meeting to meeting, from real estate sellers trying to convince me which estate to get, to meeting some of the staff that will be working for me. Among the major staff I met, there was the Manhattan Accountant Jacklin Orange, “Pleasure to make your acquaintance madam.” she introduced herself. She was very elegant and refined.

Another one was Twilight Sparkle, a top student of Celestia’s school and the head of my research department. Though she did have an attitude problem “Look, I’m going to tell you this once, I'm only here because it pays off my school debts.” She was very crabby for some reason.

The final one of major note was Pinkamania Diane Pie. She was the head of the security team and was from what I could tell a no-nonsense type of pony. She just gave me a hard look and that was all she needed to get me impressed. Oh and just as a tip don’t call her Pinky...that results in a punch to the gut.

I finally had some time to myself I decided to go and check on Smokey, I figured he’d be worried about me. So I made sure that Celestia didn’t have me meeting anyone before I strolled down to the slums getting looks from the ponies that lived there, I figured they were just not used to someone that looks like they have money coming down here alone.

I entered the shelter and was greeted by confused looks “Gwen?” Sweet-tea asked.

“Hey, Sweet.” I said nervously.

She looked confused “What happened to you? Where did you get those clothes? Did you steal them? You know the rules I won’t serve criminals.” She said.

“One I didn’t steal them they were given to me, two Long story short, I got a job and three where’s Smokey?” I said.

“He’s out looking for you, though he should be back- there he is now.” Sweet-tea said pointing at Smokey.

“Smokey!” I said waving as he turned around and looked confused.

“Gwen?” he asked running over to me “By the Sun what happened to you? I lost sight of you at the Celebration and...and you’re wearing different clothing.” He asked confused.

“It's a long story, but the cliff notes are I got a job working for the princess. I’ll tell you it over dinner.” I said.

He took a look at me and said “I was worried sick about you and you were... I don’t know.” He then threw his hands in the air and said. “Just leave.”

“Smokey?” I asked confused “Come on man.” I said trying to grab his shoulder but smacked my hand away and gave me a bad look.

“Just leave.” he said coldly.

I looked down and said “Fine...” before starting to walk away defeated before glancing at him “I’m sorry our friendship had to end like this.” and exited the shelter.

The next day I decided to do a check I knew I had a fire alien on my watch but I had to know what other aliens I had. The first Alien I turned to was the Fire Alien from before, just to get a better look at her. I had some of the castle staff on standby just in case I burned something down.

I admired myself as I didn’t realize I had Flaming hair in this form.. And a cowboy hat, I looked like a sharif from some old western town...only on fire. I think I remembered seeing one of the kids I babysat have something like this, a statuette of something called a NovaKid from a game called Starbound, If I remember correctly he said they were Sapient suns. “Helios.” I said “Ah am Helios.” I said butting my hands on my hips and chuckling.

The next form I turned to was... “An Asari?” I muttered looking at the silhouette on the watch, this should be interesting. I looked at myself in this form and I stretched out for a bit. I honestly didn’t know what to say I was a blue lady...Maybe I should have done this outside where I could test out powers. “I think I’ll go with Athena for this one.” I said thinking of a name for this form. After the Asari, I was A Twi’lek from Star Wars. There was really nothing special about this form from what I could tell, it was like the Asari, I would have to test it out later. “I don’t know much about Star Wars so I have no clue what to name this one... maybe Ashaa” I’d have to think about it.

After that, there was “a pearl from Steven Universe?” I was now confused, I saw Fourarms and Gray matter on the watch so I knew it wasn’t all just weird aliens from other franchises. I shrugged and hit the dial. My body felt weird, more so than when I usually transform, it was like my body was becoming light as...light. I looked at myself in the mirror I was blue for starters, but not like the blue pearl from the show. I was really out of ideas for this one... I mean what do you name a sapient rock? “I’ll think of something later.” I said as I tested out the final form I would do for the day which was a Zora. When I transformed I saw that I looked like Mipha from Breath of the wild, I was red and white, my head was also in the shape of a dolphin. “Arial...I guess that could work.” I muttered as I couldn’t think of what else to name her.

Once I was done transforming I told the staff to leave and I sat on my bed. Today was the last day I would be staying in the castle before moving into the estate, and I had butterflies in my stomach. I was nervous about having to lead some sort of group, I was just a babysitter. As I sat my thoughts drifted to Smokey... he was the first one to talk to me when I got here, he lead me to the shelter. He told me everything I knew about this world. He was my only friend here and now he didn’t want to talk to me anymore.
