Chapters Sunset Shimmer was a yellow unicorn with yellow and red mane. She was a personal student of Princess Luna. Just remembering that she was a student of the ruler of Equestria made her happy. Since she saw Luna raise the moon at the Winter Moon Celebration, Sunset Shimmer has decided to study magic. When her parents said that Luna had a school for gifted unicorn, she really wanted to apply to be a student of Luna. But she had to pass an exam. Although she was nervous, she tried to show confidence. Because after all, she studied magic. It couldn’t be that hard, right? Her test was to hatch a red dragon egg with orange balls. Confident, she used her magic. But even though her magic caught the egg, it didn’t shock him. Still confident, she tried several times. After several failed attempts, she sat on the floor in defeat. Suddenly there was a burst of rainbow. Magic of his horn went to the egg and shocked him. From inside the egg came a red dragon with orange scales. Sunset Shimmer’s eyes flashed white and she lost control of her magic. Unicorn jurors floated in the air, her parents became plants, and the newborn baby dragon became an adult dragon and his head went to the ceiling. His head pierced part of the ceiling and went to the roof. Meanwhile, Sunset Shimmer couldn’t control her magic. Suddenly she felt a touch on her back. Sunset Shimmer turned and saw Luna looking at her with a benevolent smile. Sunset Shimmer managed to regain control of her magic and her eyes stopped shining. The jurors fell to the ground, the plants became Sunset’s parents again, and the adult dragon became a newborn baby dragon.
“Sunset Shimmer”, Luna began.
“Princess Luna, I…” interrupted Sunset Shimmer.
“You have a very special gift. I have never met a unicorn with his innate abilities”, said Luna.
“Huh?” asked Sunset Shimmer confused.
“But you need to master these skills through study,” said Luna. “Sunset Shimmer, I would like you to become my protégé here at school”
“Huh?!” exclaimed Sunset Shimmer surprised at what Luna said.
“Do you accept?” asked Luna.
“Yes!!” exclaimed Sunset Shimmer happily in the air.
“Another thing, Sunset”, interrupted Luna.
“More?” asked Sunset Shimmer before falling to the floor.
Luna approached Sunset Shimmer and pointed to the Cutie Mark she had in Sunset Shimmer. The Cutie Mark was a red and yellow sun.
“My Cutie Mark!” exclaimed Sunset Shimmer happily.
Sunset Shimmer started jumping around Luna shouting “yes” happily. In response Luna just smiled.
Sunset Shimmer smiled at the memory, she was so distracted that she didn’t even see a Lunar guard coming to her, “Sunset Shimmer”
Sunset Shimmer looked at the guard, “yes?”
“Princess Luna wants to talk to you in the throne room”, replied the Lunar guard.
“OK. I’ll be right back”, Sunset Shimmer said before getting up. She looked at Garble.
“Garble, let’s go”, said Sunset Shimmer.
“Okay, Sunset”, Garble said as he tried to climb Sunset Shimmer’s back. Sunset caught Garble with her magic and set him on her back before running toward the castle.
Luna was in the throne room walking in circles. She was nervous. For one simple reason: She would send Sunset Shimmer to check the preparations for the celebration. But that was not the reason for her concern. Today Daybreaker would break free from her prison. And Luna feared that Daybreaker would end up hurting Sunset Shimmer. Like, Daybreaker wants eternal day. Daybreaker will do everything she for what she wants. Even if Daybreaker has to destroy her enemies. Suddenly she heard the sound of a door opening. Luna saw Sunset Shimmer with Garble on her back as she ran. When she got close to Luna, she bent down, “Did you want to talk to me, princess?”
“Yes, Sunset. I need you to do me two favors”, Luna said. She started to walk. Sunset Shimmer followed her.
“I would like you to go to Ponyville”, said Luna.
“Are you kicking me out of Canterlot, princess?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
Luna looked at Sunset Shimmer in surprise, “what? No, sunset. I just need you to do me two favors”
“Which, princess?”
“The first is that I would like you to check the preparations for the Winter Moon Celebration”
Sunset Shimmer smiled, “with great pleasure, Princess. What’s the other one?”
“The other is that I would like you to make friends”, Luna replied.
Sunset Shimmer tried not to show anger, “why, princess?”
Luna knew she shouldn’t hide anything from Sunset Shimmer, so she said, “because you’ll need friends to heal my sister”
Sunset Shimmer was surprised, “Do you have a sister?”
“Yes, Sunset. Her name is Celestia, but now it’s called Daybreaker. I had to use the elements of Harmony on my corrupted sister and had to banish her to the sun”, said Luna.
Sunset Shimmer had a question in her head, “Why did she become Daybreaker?”

The guard bowed before doing what was asked. Luna looked at Sunset Shimmer, “Sunset, are you ready?”
“Yes, princess”, Sunset Shimmer replied.
Luna gave Sunset Shimmer a scroll, “Here’s the list. Don’t forget to take Garble with you”
Sunset Shimmer took the scroll with her magic while smile, “Don’t worry, Princess. i would never abandon him”
Sunset Shimmer was already in the carriage, along with Garble. The carriage was purple and Lunar guards were taking the carriage to Ponyville. Garble held the list Luna gave with his paws, “Garble, what should we see for the Celebration?”
Garble looked at the list, “Food, climate, Decor, Music and drinks”
Sunset Shimmer showed a proud smile, “until it’s not that much. This is going to be really fast”
Garble reviewed the list, “yes. I also think”
Suddenly the carriage stopped. Sunset Shimmer and Garble got out of the carriage. They started walking Garble with the list and read the first item, “the first item is food”
“Who’s in charge of the food?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
“Sugarcoat”, read Garble.
“OK. Let’s check if she has everything for the festival”, said Sunset Shimmer.
“Will you be friends with the ponies responsible for the festival organizations?” asked Garble.
Sunset Shimmer looked at Garble, “Well, yes. But when Daybreaker returns I won’t need their help”
“But Sunset, why won’t you want help from them?” asked Garble.
“Garble, this is a task the princess asked me to do on my own. She didn’t tell me that I should bring help to defeat Daybreaker”
“That’s a good point”, agreed Garble.
They entered a coffee shop and saw a half-bluish purple mare with glasses. Sunset Shimmer and Garble went to the mare, “Good afternoon. My name is Sunset Shimmer ”
The mare looked at Sunset Shimmer, “Hi, Sunset Shimmer. My name is Sugarcoat. Welcome to Sunny’s Café. What would you like to eat? Do you want a drink?”
“No, thank you. I came here to see if you have the food for the Winter Moon Celebration”, said Sunset Shimmer.
Sugarcoat smiled, “ah. Why didn’t you say so before? Follow me”
Sunset Shimmer and Garble followed and sat on a chair. Sugarcoat brought milkshakes, coffees, apple pies, apple muffins, and other apple stuff. Sunset Shimmer smiled, “I see you have everything under control”
“That’s right, Sunset”
“Do you work alone?”
Sugarcoat was surprised, “no. My grandmother, my brother, my sister And Sunny Falre work together here. Would you like me to introduce them? ”
“As long as it doesn’t take long. Because I have to check other preparations for the celebration”, said Sunset Shimmer.
“OK. I’ll be right back”, Sugarcoat said, before going to a door and leaving.
Garble looked at Sunset Shimmer, “Can we eat something, Sunset?”
Sunset Shimmer looked at Garble, “ok, Garble”
Garble was happy and took a menu to choose what to eat, “it doesn’t have rubies”
Sunset Shimmer tried not to hit the hull on the head, “Garble, this is a coffee shop. Since when it will have jewelry?”
Garble looked at Sunset Shimmer, “I thought I had”
Sunset Shimmer blew out a breath before smiling, “ok, Grable. After we finish checking everything, let’s eat at some Ponyville restaurant”
Garble smiled. Suddenly Sunset Shimmer and Garble heard the sound of the door opening. They looked and saw Sugarcoat with an old pony, a stalion with fur color and a pink foal with a pink bow, “my grandmother’s name is Cinch, my brother’s name is Joe and my sister’s name is Diamond Tiara”
“It’s nice to meet you all,” said Sunset Shimmer. “My name is Sunset Shimmer”
“Nice to meet you, Sunset”, said Diamond Tiara with a smile.
“Thank you, Diamond Tiara”, Sunset Shimmer said as she got out of her chair.
“Where are you going, Sunset?” asked Diamond Tiara.
“Garble and I need to check the other preparations for the celebration”, Sunset Shimmer replied.
“Aren’t you going to want to have lunch with us?” asked Diamond Tiara.
“I’m sorry. But we still have many things to check for the preparations for the Celebration that will take place when night comes”, said Sunset Shimmer.
“Oh. I understand”, said Diamond Tiara.
“Wait, where’s Sunny Flare?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
“Sunny Flare is in the city hall. Because she’s the one who is in charge of the decoration for the celebration”, Sugarcoat replied.
“Oh, ok. Well, me and Garble are going”, Sunset Shimmer said as she headed toward the exit. As they left Sunny’s cafe, Sunset Shimmer looked at Garble.
“What’s next on the list?” asked Sunset Shimmer to Garble.
Garble looked at the list, “climate”
“OK. I think that among all the preparations, this will be the fastest”, said Sunset Shimmer, before looking up at the sky. And there were several clouds in the sky.
“Who is responsible for taking care of the sky?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
Garble looked at the list, “Indigo Zap”
“OK. Where would this pony be? ”Sunset Shimmer asked as she looked skyward for Indigo Zap. They saw a pony’s mane behind a cloud.
“Hey. Are you Indigo Zap?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
The pegasus pony looked at Sunset Shimmer, “yes. I am Indigo Zap. And you?”
“My name is Sunset Shimmer. And the princess sent me to check out preparations for the Winter Moon Celebration,” said Sunset Shimmer. “You’re in charge of the weather, right?”
“Yes. But I’ll do it when I finish training”, said Indigo Zap.
Sunset Shimmer was confused, “train for what?”
“For Shadowbolts,” replied Indigo Zap. “They will perform at the Celebration of tomorrow. And I’m training some tricks to join them”
“So you won’t do your duty until you finish training?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
“Yes”, answered Indigo Zap.
“And will it take too long?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
“Yes”, answered Indigo Zap.
Sunset Shimmer spat, “Really? I bet you can’t clear this sky before the dawn”
“Hey. I can clear this sky in ten seconds”, protested Indigo Zap.
“Really?”
“Really”
“Prove it”, Sunset Shimmer said with a smile.
Indigo Zap stepped out of the cloud and began clearing the sky with her back hooves. And to the surprise of Sunset and Garble, Indigo Zap cleared the sky in exactly ten seconds, “See? I told you. Ten seconds. I never saw you here in Ponyville”
Sunset Shimmer came out of her shock, “w-well, yeah. I came here to check out preparations for the Winter Moon Celebration”
“Ah. So it was Princess Luna who sent you here?” asked Indigo Zap.
“Yes. And I’m her student”, Sunset Shimmer replied, smiling proudly.
“Will you after you finish checking everything will you still be busy?” asked Indigo Zap.
Sunset Shimmer was confused, “Why do you want to know?”
“Because if you’re not so busy, would you like me to show you the rest of Ponyville?” asked Indigo Zap.
“Well, after checking the preparations, Garble and I are going to have something to eat at a restaurant”, Sunset Shimmer replied.
“Would you like me to come along?” asked Indigo Zap.
“I don’t know. If you want to…” Sunset Shimmer replied.
“Ok, Sunset. See you later”, said Indigo Zap, before flying off.
Sunset Shimmer looked at Garble, “what’s next?”
Garble looked at the list, “decoration”
When they arrived and entered the town hall, Sunset Shimmer and Garble liked the style the town hall got. Sunset couldn’t deny that it went well with the style of the Celebration and the princess. They saw a light blue-haired unicorn mare making a dark blue bow. Garble couldn’t deny that she was beautiful. Sunset Shimmer approached the unicorn, “hello, good afternoon”
The unicorn looked at Sunset Shimmer, “Hi. Good afternoon. Who are you?”
“Sunset Shimmer”, replied Sunset Shimmer, still smiling.
The unicorn smiled, “oh. The princess’s student? Delighted. My name is Sunny Flare”
Sunset Shimmer realized that the unicorn’s initial name was the same name as the coffee shop Sugarcoat worked for, “I know there is a coffee shop here in Ponyville. Is she yours?”
“Yes. Have you ever visited the store?” asked Sunny Flare.
“Yes. And who answered me was Sugarcoat”, replied Sunset Shimmer.
“Sugarcoat helps me in the store. Her family works there too”, said Sunny Flare.
Sunset Shimmer stepped back, “As much as I want to keep talking to you, I need to go check on the other preparations”
“Fine, darling. See you at the Celebration”, said Sunny Flare.
When Sunset Shimmer and Garble left City Hall, Sunset Shimmer asked, “What’s the next item, Garble?”
Garble glanced at the list, “drinks”
“OK. Where are there drinks here? ”asked Sunset Shimmer. She was already beginning to imagine that this would be the hardest item to check. Because she didn’t even know where to sell drinks in Ponyville.
Suddenly, a mare with light green hair and a pink headset appeared, “Did anypony say drink?” The mare grabbed Sunset Shimmer by the hooves and led her to a lemonade shop.
Sunset Shimmer and Garble’s pupils spun before they returned to normal. The mare went to the table she set Sunset Shimmer and Garble, “My name is Lemon Zest. And I work at this lemonade shop”
Sunset Shimmer smiled, “oh. So are you in charge of the drinks for the Winter Moon Celebration?”
“Yes. Oh. What’s your name?” said Lemos Zest.
“Sunset Shimmer”, replied Sunset Shimmer.
Lemon brightened, “oh. The princess’s student! I’ll bring the lemonade I made for you to taste”
Sunset Shimmer was confused, “Why are you bringing lemonade for me to taste?”
Lemon Zest smiled, “simple. As a student of the princess, you should try to see if the lemonade is good for the celebration”
Sunset Shimmer smiled, “it’s a good point”
Lemon Zest went into the kitchen to get the lemonade. Garble looked at Sunset Shimmer, “Sunset, have you ever had drink lemonade?”
Sunset Shimmer looked at Garble, “No, Garble. This will be my first time I will drink lemonade. I just hope if I don’t like it, Lemon doesn’t think lemonade isn’t good for the Celebration”
“Don’t worry, Sunset. I’m sure Lemon Zest lemonade should be good”, Garble tried to calm Sunset Shimmer.
“Thank you, Garble. Did I tell you that you’re my favorite dragon?” said Sunset Shimmer.
Garble smiled with pride, “yes. A lot of times”
Lemon Zest opened the kitchen door and headed toward where Sunset Shimmer and Garble were. On her head was a plate with a pitcher of lemonade and two glasses of lemonade and she put it on the table, “Here’s the lemonade. Hope you like it”
Sunset Shimmer took the glass of lemonade and drank. And to her surprise, the lemonade was good, “the lemonade is good”
Lemon Zest still smiling said, “thank you, Sunset”
After Sunset Shimmer had finished drinking, Lemon Zest said, “Want more?”
“Sorry. But I still have to check one more preparation for the Celebration”, said Sunset Shimmer. Her ears were down.
“Well, are you going to be at the celebration?” asked Lemon Zest.
“Of course I will be. I’m Luna’s most loyal student”, said Sunset Shimmer proudly.
“Well, at the celebration, are you going to want to drink more lemonade?” asked Lemon Zest.
Sunset Shimmer smiled, “Of course, Lemon Zest”, she stood up. Garble climbed on the back of Sunset Shimmer. And they left the lemonade store.
“What’s the next item, Garble?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
“Music. It’s the last”, answered Garble, looking in the list.
Suddenly they heard the sound of birds singing. Sunset Shimmer and Garble went to a bush and saw a yellow-haired pegasus mare with pink mane with pink and green stripes. They went to the mare, “hi!”
The mare startled and looked down, “Oh. I’m so sorry. I didn’t want to scare your birds. It was so beautiful”
The mare smiled, “thank you… for disturbing me! I was here over an hour making these birds sing. And you come and disturb me. Who are you?”
Sunset Shimmer was surprised. But soon recovered, “my name is Sunset Shimmer. And I came here to check the music”
The mare looked surprised, “Oh. Princess Luna’s student. I’m sorry. I thought you were another any mare wanting to disturb me ”
“You could show me how it went. That’s if it’s all right with you”, said Sunset Shimmer.
“Yes, I’ll try”, she turned her back, and made a movement with her hull like a conductor’s wand. The birds began to sing. Sunset Shimmer couldn’t deny that he was beautiful.
When it was over, Sunset Shimmer clapped with her hooves, “It’s very good. Sorry, but what’s your name?”
“Sour Sweet”, replied Sour Sweet.
“Do you work with animals?” wanted to know Sunset Shimmer.
“Me? Work with animals? You’re crazy, right? Of course not”, replied Sour Sweet, now angry.
“So what do you work on?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
“I make jewelry,” replied Sour Sweet. “At least that’s a lot easier to take care of these filthy animals!”
“Good. I am going. Feel free to continue practicing bird singing if you want”, said Sunset Shimmer.
“Of course I will train… Because if I don’t do the birds they won’t sing and I will be ashamed”, said Sour Sweet.
“Well, bye. See you at the Celebration”, said Sunset Shimmer, before leaving.
Garble looked at Sunset Shimmer, “So where are we going now?”
“Well, we’ve done everything the princess has asked for. Now let’s have something to eat. Because I am hungry. And I think you’re hungry too”, said Sunset Shimmer.
Before long they arrived at the Ponyville restaurant. There were some ponies eating and others were choosing what to eat. They sat down and chose what to eat. Sunset Shimmer and Garble took the menu to choose what to eat, “Have you chosen, ma’am?”
Sunset looked at the waiter, “yes. I would like a daffodil sandwich with daisies”
Garble looked up from the menu, “Do you have rubies?”
The waiter looked at Garble with an not funny face, “no?” asked Garble.
Garble threw the menu away, “ok. I will want fried hay. Very crispy”
The waiter went out to talk to the cook. Sunset Shimmer looked at Garble, “Garble, I’m worried”
Garble looked at Sunset Shimmer confusedly, “With what?”
“I’m worried that Daybreaker will return during the Celebration”, replied Sunset Shimmer.
“But why do you think that?” asked Garble.
“Garble, think about it. Daybreaker will return on the longest night of the thousandth year. And today is the celebration of the thousandth year!” replied Sunset Shimmer. “What if Daybreaker kidnaps the princess during the Celebration?”
“Wow. You don’t know how to be positive in situations, right?” said Garble.
“And how am I going to think positive when an evil will bring eternal day, Garble?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
The cook brought both foods, “here are your orders”, the waiter handed the sandwich to Sunset Shimmer and Garble, the fried hay.
“Thanks. It looks so tasty. I’m sure when I’m eating, I’ll forget about Daybreaker for a moment”, Sunset Shimmer picked up the sandwich with her magic.
But before Sunset Shimmer could eat, she felt a strong wind in her mane. Lucky she was holding the sandwich with her magic, “what was that?”
Indigo Zap landed on the floor, “Hi, my best friend I just met. What are you doing?”
“I’m eating. What are you doing here?” replied Sunset Shimmer before starting to eat.
“Don’t you remember? You said after you finished checking the preparations you would eat and I wanted to keep you company”, said Indigo Zap.
“So, will you just watch me eat or will you eat something too?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
“I’ll be watching you. But if I get hungry, I’ll order something”, answered Indigo Zap.
Sunset Shimmer didn’t answer, just went back to eating. Garble did the same. Indigo Zap watched them eat. When they had finished eating, Sunset Shimmer and Garble stood up, “where are you going?”
“I am going to the Golden Oka’s Tree Library”, said Sunset Shimmer. Garble climbed on the back of Sunset Shimmer.
“Will you stay there?” asked Indigo Zap.
“Yes. But only for the celebration. When the celebration is over, Garble and Me will return to Canterlot”, replied Sunset Shimmer.
Indigo Zap looked sad at this news, “but why?”
“Because I am a student of the princess. And when the celebration is over, I will have to return to continue my studies at Canterlot”, replied Sunset Shimmer.
Indigo Zap looked surprised. She didn’t know that Sunset Shimmer was a student of Luna, “I didn’t know that you’re a student of Princess Luna”
“Of course I am a student of the princess. Why do you think she sent me to check on preparations for the Celebration?” said Sunset Shimmer.
“I thought you were a normal Unicorn from Canterlot”, replied Indigo Zap.
Sunset Shimmer rolled her eyes, “look. I’m the princess’s best student and it’s good for you to know that i’m the best unicorn and princess luna’s student. I am not a common unicorn like these others. I am going”

When Sunset Shimmer and Garble arrived at the Golden Oka’s Tree Library, Sunset Shimmer decided to research more about Daybreaker and a way to defeat Daybreaker. Garble was bringing several books from the shelves and handing it to Sunset, “found something?” asked Garble.
Sunset Shimmer sighed as she closed the book, “no. I’ve looked in almost the entire library”
Garble looked up at the sky. The sun was setting, “I think we’d better go to town hall. The celebration will start soon ”
Sunset Shimmer looked at Garble before looking at the sky and watching the sun go down, “You’re right. We better go. After the Celebration, I continue my research”
In town hall, It already had all the ponyville ponies. Well, minus Sunset and Garble, who were already coming. Sunny Flare was on a balcony so she could open the curtain when Luna showed up, Lemon Zest was drinking lemonade, Sour Sweet was with the birds, and she wasn’t happy about that. And Indigo Zap and Sugarcoat were talking.
“Do you like this festival, Zap?” asked Sugarcoat.
Indigo Zap made a did pose, “Of course, Sugarcoat. After all, Shadowbolts perform after the festival”
“Yes. But you might also like this festival because the princess of Equestria shows up”, said Sugarcoat, not caring if Indigo Zap would be upset with what she said.
“Hey! But I do care about the Princess of Equestria!” exclaimed Indigo Zap, now angry.
Suddenly they heard the sound of running hooves. They looked back and saw Sunset Shimmer with Garble. Sugarcoat and Indigo Zap looked at Sunset Shimmer, “Sunset Shimmer! You came to the festival!”
Sunset Shimmer smiled, “Of course. I cann’t disappoint the princess”
“Sunset, do you like this festival?” asked Sugarcoat.
“Yes, Sugarcoat. Why?”
“Because somepony prefers the Shadowbolts over the princess”, said Sugarcoat as she looked angry at Indigo Zap.
“I may prefer the Shadowbolts, but I’m Loyal to the Princess!” exclaimed Indigo Zap.
Suddenly they heard the sound of birdsong. Indigo Zap, Sugarcoat, Lemon Zest, Sunset Shimmer, and Garble looked at Sour Sweet making a movement with their hooves like a conductor’s wand. When she was done, Sour Sweet was relieved that everything went well.
A spotlight went to Mayor Mare, “fillies and gentlecolts, we are here for the Winter Moon Celebration”
All ponies, except Sunset Shimmer applauded. The reason Sunset Shimmer didn’t applaud was because she feared that Daybreaker might show up.
“The Celebration where we have the longest night of the year. And today, it will be the longest night of the thousandth year. Our princess who is responsible for bringing day and night”, continued Mayor Mare.
Sunset Shimmer decided to look out a window and saw that the sun shone for a few seconds before fading into the horizon. Sunset Shimmer feared that Daybreaker had fled the sun.
“And now, we will receive ... Princess Luna!” exclaimed Mayor Mare.
The birds sang and the curtains opened. Sunny Flare looked back and didn’t see Luna, “Huh?”
Sunset Shimmer Was Getting Worried. Where Would Luna Be? “This can’t be good”
The audience ponies began to wonder what was going on. Mayor Mare tried to calm the ponies, “don’t worry. I’m sure she’ll be here soon. Surely there must be an explanation”
Lemon Zest was excited, “oh. Is it a hide and seek game?”
Sunset Shimmer wanted to believe Lemon Zest’s words to ease the tension she was having now. Daybreaker went to Sour Sweet. The birds flew away, “I am and will be the future ruler of Equestria. I don’t need all of you as subjects!”
“You don’t have to be rude… Only I can be rude!” said Sour Sweet, not at all afraid of Daybreaker.
Daybreaker cast a damage spell on Sour Sweet. Sour Sweet screamed in pain, “and that’s what you get for getting in my way”
Daybreaker now went to Sunny Flare, “Didn’t you know I would return? Didn’t you notice the signs?”
“I did!”
Daybreaker looked at the owner of voice. She saw a yellow-haired unicorn with yellow and red mane and a cutie mark of a red and yellow sun, “and I know who you are! You’re the mare in the sun, Daybreaker!”
The ponies sighed in surprise.
Daybreaker smiled, “at least somepony remembers me. And do you know why I’m here?”
Sunset Shimmer was speechless, “You’re here to… to…” she swallowed hard. She wasn’t sure what Daybreaker would do.
Daybreaker laughed at Sunset Shimmer’s reaction, “Remember tonight, subjects. For all of you will not see Luna anymore. From today, you… Will… Enjoy my day… Forever!!” Daybreaker began to laugh as the flames in her manes formed a tornado and her horn glowed, making the sun rise. The ponies had to cover their eyes with their hooves. Sunset Shimmer was afraid.
“Arrest her! She knows where the princess is!” exclaimed Mayor Mare. Three lunar guards went to Daybreaker.
Daybreaker threw magic at the three guards as she laughed madly before turning to fire and leaving City Hall. Indigo Zap managed to break free to go after Daybreaker, “come back here!” Indigo Zap watched the fire go towards the forest.
“Day Eternal?” asked Indigo Zap, before looking down and seeing Sunset Shimmer running off, Garble on her back.
“Where’s she going?”
When Sunset Shimmer and Garble arrived at the Golden Oka’s Tree Library, they started looking for something that could stop Daybreaker, “no! No! Urgh! Why didn’t the princess give me a book about what she used to defeat Daybreaker?!”
“And how did you know about Daybreaker’s return?” asked Indigo Zap, now in front of Sunset Shimmer. Sunset Shimmer jumped back.
“Indigo! Where did you come from?” said Sunset Shimmer, now frightened.
“I saw you running from City Hall”, said Indigo Zap. The other mares that Sunset Shimmer made friends appeared.
“Why did you run Sunset? Do you know what’s going on?” asked Sugarcoat.
“I know Daybreaker is actually Celestia. And Celestia’s day was so appreciated, it made her arrogant. The princess sent me here to save your sister. But I don’t know how to stop her”, replied Sunset Shimmer.
“Well, we can help you, Sunset”, said Sugarcoat with a smile.

Sunset Shimmer put the book back in the bookshelf before heading for the door, “Where are you going, Sunset?”

“No way, Sunset. We won’t let you go alone in this dangerous forest,” said Sugarcoat. “We’ll Help You Save Princess Luna’s Sister”
Sugarcoat started walking, “come on, ponies. To Everfree Forest!”
“To Everfree Forest!” exclaimed the other four mares, except Sunset Shimmer before leaving the library.
Sunset Shimmer sighed. She knew Luna had asked her to do with friends, but she wanted to try to turn around on her own.
“Sunset, can I come with you?” asked Garble, now looking at Sunset Shimmer.
“I think you better stay here, Garble”, replied Sunset Shimmer.
Garble looked sad about this, “why? Why can’t I go along?”
“Garble, you saw what Daybreaker did to Sour Sweet. Imagine what she can do to you”, replied Sunset Shimmer.
Until what Sunset Shimmer said made sense, “You’re right. But I wish I could help you with the mission”
“I know, Garble. But…”
“Sunset! Are you coming or not?” said Sugarcoat outside.
“Garble, I have to go. See you later”, Sunset Shimmer hugged Garble before leaving.
“Bye, Sunset. And good luck”, said Garble as he watched Sunset Shimmer run to reach the five mares.
