The Beginning to a Rocky Start
"Tis thee the end of thee line for thou villain!" I hear before turning around from a deadend in this forest, the voice came from the older of the two females now in front of me.
"Well, might as well look epic while in stone..." I quietly say positioning my sword and shield in a certain way to face off against them, six colorful gems started to glow and form what looked like a very large atom, too bad I knew what this meant, the 'Celestial Sisters' were about to use the Elements of Harmony on me…
"Daddy! No!" I hear off to my left, I notice my unofficial adopted daughter looking at me in fear and sorrow, I reach out to her via my mind link with her.
"Don't worry Mi Amore, i'll be fine, now i need you to grab my spellbook back in the cave, along with anything else i left, place it in the gold bag, it'll hold it, i don't want it falling in your auntie's hands, I know you'll bring me back one day Mi Amore, but until then, I'll wait for you in you're dreams, live on Mi Amore, live on and prosper against everything life throws at you, just like nature, be strong, and most importantly, continue to love others as you love yourself, goodbye for now my lovely daughter, my Mi Amore…" I tell her before the rainbow light hits and I turn back to the sisters, looking down at the ground slightly.
Before I turned completely into a statue, I noticed her running off towards my home quickly, I smiled sadly, knowing I won't be able to hug her for a very long time before closing my eyes, one tear fell to the ground before I became fully petrified in my new prison.
Now… you're probably wondering who I am, well, I can gladly tell you, my name is, or rather was, Tyrone H. Evans, i have no idea why i was named that, but hey, why not… now i'm a brony, yeah, i like Mlp, get over it haters, anyways, i liked the show, especially the seventh season, so it makes sense that i'd freak out by waking up in the Everfree forest. I was also a 'Roleplayer' as some would call it, which i technically am, i'm talking about D&D, or Dungeons and Dragons, my favorite Tabletop-RPG game, it'd also make sense that i'd go to a gaming convention dressed as my favorite character, my own Half-elf Druid-Wizard by the name of Emerald Summereyes, or 'Forest Fire', who had quite the background story. Now, i had kept the character sheet and my own figurine of how he looked so i could create clothes for him, I lived with my brother and sister, who were both older than me, my sister being twenty-three and my brother being twenty-one while I was eighteen, so yeah, but we got by just fine where we lived actually, which was a pretty nice place, anyways, the three of us all went to a convention as some sort of character from a game, my sister chose to go as her D&D character, a human Bard-Cleric by name of Sophia Summersheild, and my brother went as his character, a half-orc Paladin by the name of Grognir Sunhammer. Now we all had something missing from our costumes, I needed a spell book that contained all of the druid and wizard spells in it, sis was missing a holy symbol for her deity, who was Pharasma, the goddess of life and death, the symbol was a yin-yang with a skull as the black dot and a leaf as the white dot, now my brother, he was missing his character's dual-headed war hammer, sadly, we couldn't get one, so we had to hope that we could find one at the convention and we did, we found all three things at a booth where the guy looked like the merchant from RE4, but i knew who he really was, I read enough fanfics to know what's going to happen, the conversation went like this.
"Ah sweet, check this out guys, it's the holy symbol i needed to complete my look!" my sister said as we were passing by a booth, making us stop and look, it was indeed the exact symbol she needed.
We also found some other things, like weapons, wizard staves, books, but one thing caught my attention, it was a crimson red book with the golden letters 'Spellbook' on it, after looking through it, I found every spell a druid and wizard can have, even some bard, paladin, alchemist, and even cleric spells in it.
"Wow, this book is what I need to complete my look too." I say as a man comes up to us.
"Ah, I see you found something you are interested in, the holy symbol of Pharasma and the book of many spells… quite the interesting choice." He said getting us to look at him, we were surprised to see the merchant from Resident Evil 4 standing there.
"Yeah… hey, by the way, do you happen to have a dual-sided war hammer?" my sister asks, getting him to scratch his chin a little bit before looking underneath the table, and bringing out the exact hammer my brother needed.
"Will this do?" He asks, having my brother take it and examine it.
"Yeah, this will definitely do, thanks." He replied putting the hammer in his belt loop.
"How much for all three?" I asked getting my wallet out.
"Hmm… well, since i'm feeling generous right now, how about… seventy-five dollars for everything." He said… and that's where I got the connection, this guy wasn't just any merchant, he was the merchant.
"Alright, here you go." I say handing him the money smiling.
"Thank you, and have a safe trip there." He says before both my brother and sister collapse on the ground, my vision is still good, but starting to fade.
"Hey merch, can I ask a favor of ya?" I ask, much to his surprise.
"I suppose, since you're still standing." He says looking at me curiously.
"Okay, so I know who you are, and where the three of us are about to wake up, but could you please send us to an antro-omnivore world?" I ask my vision getting worse, but i'm still standing… somewhat.
He seems to think it over before nodding. "For resisting a very powerful sleep spell for this long, and for asking nicely, I can do that." He says getting me to smile.
"Thanks merch, you're the best." I say before collapsing on the ground next to my siblings.
After whom I assumed was the youngest of the three of them collapsed I found a world that he asked for and snapped my fingers, the three of them vanished in a flash of light before I turned around and headed into the small tent behind my stand, another man was waiting for me.
"Well, that took longer than expected, what took so long?" He asked me, curious as to why I didn't send them sooner.
"One of them had a special request as to where I sent them, it was quite impressive, he was able to resist the spell for five minutes before falling to its effects" I reply getting a surprised look from my old man.
"That's impressive indeed, where did he want the three of them to be sent?" He asks me to glance at him before a portal opens up.
"An anthropomorphic and omnivore world, which there isn't a lot, but I was able to find one, he'll be the first to arrive, pre-Nightmare time, the other two will most likely arrive between Nightmare and Discord." I answer before going through the portal, the old man right behind me.
“Very well… good work kiddo, you did well.” he says before the portal closes and our stand vanishes from thin air, as if it never existed in the first place.
<<<??? - ??? - Tyrone’s POV>>>
“Uhg… where in the nine hells am I?” I asked myself as I woke up in the middle of a forest, my senses were going wild, almost as if I could hear the trees around me, it was too loud for me to listen to, but trying to block the noise out for now was the best i could do, getting up I looked around and saw my book leaning against a tree, perfectly clean.
“Cause that's totally not weird in the slightest.” I think as I pick up the book, opening it up, I notice that most of the words are blurry and grey while the spells that are classified as cantrips, or 0LV spells are in bold black, along with its effects explaining what each spell does.
“Interesting, it looks like I have to level up, or practice my magic in order for me to unlock the next level of spells… but what happened?” I ask myself aloud as I try to remember what happened, the convention and the conversation with the merchant comes to the forefront of my mind.
“Ah… right, i'm in Equestria… I'M IN EQUESTRIA!!” I think before the realization about my situation settles in, I notice that it's about to become night. “Okay, so i'm either some time after season 1 or i'm before season 1, which would also make sense.” I think before walking up to a dirt road, not too far off I see a non-destroyed version on the castle of the two sisters, with solar guards patrolling the walls. “I guess that answers that, i'm before Nightmare Moon, which means the first episode of MLP won't be for another thousand years, which means that I'll need to be petrified until that time comes.” I think before finding a cave that looks abandoned, well kept, but otherwise abandoned.
I set my book down on a stone and went over all of my things, I had now very real weapons, a silver short sword, dark oak shield, a five foot glaive, a backpack full of items that I'll look at later, and a short bow with a quiver of sixty arrows on me as equipment, for clothes, i had the standard adventurers gear, but since i'm a druid, I've got no metal armor on, but I do notice that I've got blue dragon-mail armor on, which helps, as that's the best armor a druid can have, unfortunately, I only have the breastplate, when my character had full head to toe armor, which means the pieces are missing, and i'm going to have to find them. Looking through my bag, I see a bunch of handy items, including rations and some water, which made me happy.
"Okay, so I don't have much water so i'm going to have to go out and find a river or something to keep my water supply up… I think I've got enough rations to last a good two, maybe three months if I stretch it…" I think to myself pulling out five rather large bags of wrapped rations and four large water-skins out of my bag, what i didn't notice was something creeping up behind me, until I was tackled to the ground.
"Okay… ow… that wasn't nice." I say trying to see what had tackled me to the ground.
"Sorry… I was just bored and I saw you enter this cave, and I was curious as to what you are." I hear behind me as the pressure on my back leaves.
"It's fine, but don't sneak up on me again, i don't have that well of a control on my powers and you could've gotten hurt." I say sitting up and facing the girl who tackled me, what I saw was a girl, probably around five or six years old, her fur was a nice shade of dark pink, she also had three colors in her mane, gold, blue and a light pink, I even saw a horn on her head, making her a unicorn, I immediately knew who this was, but I just wanted to be sure. "What's your name little one?" I ask, getting her to sit down in front of me.
"My name's Mi Amore Cadenza, but i prefer Cadence, what's you're name?" She asks, confirming my suspicions.
"You may call me Forest Flare, Cadence." I reply, getting her to smile, then look at me curiously.
"Mr.Flare, are you a Minotaur?" She asks getting me to chuckle.
"No, i'm not a Minotaur, i'm more like a distant cousin of them." I reply getting ready to explain.
"Really?" She asks to which i nod. "How are you a cousin to an entire species?" She asks, I smirk, waiting for that question.
"Well i'm not a hundred percent sure on the specifics, but I'll tell you what I know of my ancestors, okay, so some Minotaurs didn't like the way they were living, and this was a very very long time ago, but they eventually moved away from their homes, going to live someplace else, and over time they didn't require their superior strength anymore, so they started to grow shorter, and not as muscular, but in return, they started making advancements to their way of life. This eventually evolved into the race known as 'Humans', but they weren't the only ones around where they lived, no, there were different races living there too, like the Elves, they were a cunning race that lived deep within forests, they were the first race to practice magic, then there were the Dwarves, small but power beings that lived inside of the heart of mountains." I started explaining to her, she was looking at me in awe at my explanation of my 'history'. "Let's see, the three races weren't that friendly to each other, but they eventually found peace and prospered from one another, i eventually came to this world from my parents, my father being an elf, and my mother a human, making me a half-elf." I say concluding my explanation to Cadence, she was in awe.
"Wow, so you are half human and half elf?" She asks, I simply nod my head in confirmation.
"Yes, though i'm not the only half being to exist, there are half-dwarfs, half-drows, half-orcs, half-dragons, or Dragonborns, but that's most of them." I say going over all of the half human creatures I know of from the game.
"Wow, that's so cool! Wait, does this mean you have magic?" She asks getting me to chuckle.
"Yes, though i'm not as strong as I'd like to be, i can only do cantrips so far, but one day, I'll be able to perform powerful magic." I reply grabbing the spellbook from the rock I set it on.
"What are cantrips?" She asks, getting me to smirk while opening the book.
"Very low leveled magic, some of the first spells any magic user is taught." I replied looking over the spells for the wizard first, as I could probably be able to teach them to her too.
"Like levitation?" She asks getting you to look at her sadly.
"Sadly no, levitation is a little more powerful kind of spell, ponies are just so connected to their magic that it is a cantrip for you're kind." I replied, getting her to touch her horn in realization. "If you want, I could teach you some cantrips, i'm also learning, so we can teach each other." I say getting her to look at me in wonder and excitement.
"Will it be hard? Cause I like a challenge." She says getting you to laugh.
"It may be hard at first, but when you master these, casting them will be as easy as breathing." I say, much to her joy.
"Then let's practice!" She says, getting you to chuckle.
"Okay then, the first cantrip is called… Resistance, let's see, by casting this spell, the caster can imbue the target with a small resistance to attacks thrown at the target…" I say looking at the book, Cadence looks at me weird.
"That's a weird spell to start off with…" she says, getting a soft laugh out of me.
"Well, my home isn't like Equestria, it's a little more violent than I'd like to say, so spells like this one are pretty useful back home." I replied, getting her to 'o' in realization.
"So if anypony starts fighting me, will this spell help me defend myself?" She asks, I nod in confirmation.
"Exactly, though, there are some more powerful defensive spells than this one, but it'll be awhile until we reach those." I reply looking back at the book. "Okay… this should be easy to say… ready?" I ask looking at her, she nods before closing her eyes and relaxing. "Okay, here it goes… Resistenza." I say while placing one finger on her forehead, a small outline of white surrounds her before fading.
"Did it work?" She asks, opening her eyes, looking at her body to see if anything changed.
"Only one way to find out…" I say grabbing a smallish stone off of the ground near me. "I'm going to throw this rock at you, I want you to defend yourself without using magic." I say getting her to nod before crossing her arms in front of her face.
I threw the stone with some force behind it, the white glow I briefly saw earlier came back just as the stone was about to hit her, stopping it from actually hitting her. The stone dropped to the ground right after, apparently losing momentum.
"Did it work?" She asks, slowly opening her eyes.
"Aie, it did, from what I could tell, the spell gave off a small glow when you defend yourself from the stone, stopping it in its tracks, making it lose momentum and fall to the ground." I replied writing it down in another book, I was going to write everything that had to do with how my new magic worked in this one, so I can have a future reference, or in case I die and can't teach this magic again.
"Can I try it now?" She asks almost jumping up and down in place, making me smile.
"Of course, all you have to do is place one finger on me and say what i said, i'll keep my eyes open to see if you do it correctly." I reply, to which she nods and closes her eyes, I notice her horn glowing as she prepares the spell. "Don't use your horn Cadence, it'll give off the fact that you're casting a spell to begin with." I tell her to which she sighs and stops casting.
"How can i do that though, it feels so natural to cast it out of my horn." She replies sitting down dejected.
"How about I help you learn how to use your body as the magic expander instead of your horn, then we can come back to the cantrips." I say getting her to smile at the idea.
"Okay, let's do it." She says before we head out of the cave i'm now calling home and towards a waterfall that she knew of.

Night time encounter with the mare of the night!
<<<1205 Post-Discord Era, Everfree Forest, Flare POV>>>
It's been a few years now since I came to Equestria, and almost every day I've spent it with Cadence, she kept pestering me for the last two years for me to meet Tia and Lulu… I don't know if I will, it's hard, but I've been training my Druidic magic so i don't have to rely on one set of magic to get me through my life, i've only gotten to the start of the level three spells when i met Luna by complete accident, the exchange when like this:
It was late at night, around midnight if the moon's position was correct. I had just got done with my meditation for my Druid typed magic when i noticed a pony surrounded by Timberwolves, now i can speak Druidic and Sylvan perfectly, as well as Common and Elven, all I had to do was walk up to the group and speak Sylvan to them for them to back away, I noticed the pony had a dark blue cloak on, they were looking at me, as if they were trying to comprehend what I said, that's when I spoke in Common.
"What are you doing out in the Everfree at this time?" I had asked, getting the pony to step back, either in fear or shock, I didn't really care.
"We could ask the same of thou creature, why art thou awake, shouldn't thou too be sleeping during our night?" The mare asked, sounding displeased, getting me to realise that i was talking to princess Luna.
"Usually, yes, i would be asleep at this hour, but i was training my body all day that I lost track of time, when i realised what time it was i decided to head home, but i'll admit, I've been taking the scenic route through the forest to gaze at the stars above…" I replied looking up slightly, I could feel Luna relax slightly. "You do wonderful work princess Luna." I say getting her to tense at that.
"How did thou know who we were? We haven't given thou our name, much less any indication that we were a princess." She says readying her magic.
"Relax princess, I simply made the connection between your clothing color choice, the way you spoke, and the fact that you said, 'our night', as if you created the night sky, it all pointed to who you were, nothing more." I say putting a hand up, she seems to slowly relax as I continued, before pouting.
"Well… we guess thou hast a point, very well then, but tell us, why did thou take time to watch the stars instead of sleep?" She asks me curiously, as I continue to look at her night.
"Well, back home, I don't get to see this many stars, my home has clouded the sky, to the point to where only the brightest stars shine through… where before, we could see an entire part of a galaxy, right above us, stretching across the sky, in its various colors, it was truly a sight to see…" I replied looking at her as I responded to the question, she seemed to look at me in wonder.
“Really? Could thou truly see an entire galaxy just by looking up at the stars?” She asks, getting me to chuckle, she looked so curious and had eyes full of wonder.
“Yes, even if it was just a part of the galaxy we belong to.” I replied looking up at the night sky, I then had an idea with my illusion magic. “In fact, I could show you.” I say glancing down at her, I could see sparkles in her eyes.
“Please! It would be most wonderful if thou could!” she exclaims hopping up and down, reminding me of Cadence.
“Of course… ready?” I say about to wave my hand across the sky.
“We are ready.” she says looking up to the sky.
“Okay, here we go… Illusione maggiore.” I say, before the sky ripples at my fingertips, the stars start to multiply in number, then a pink, yellow, blue and purple puffy streak went across the sky, filled with different colored stars, looking at Luna, she was awestruck at the sight. “How's the view?” I asked, getting her to snap at attention, before grabbing me by the helm of my armor.
“How is something so beautiful, able to exist without my knowledge and yet you were able to make it appear within seconds?" she asks looking deep into my eyes, she was wondering with great interest bursting to life in her eyes.
“You'd be surprised what hides in the blackness of space princess.” I say smiling a little before teleporting the both of us to a ledge on the side of a mountain, she looks out and sees a night sky thousands of times more beautiful than what she'd be able to do.
“Wow…” she says as she sits down on the edge of the ledge, I sit next to her.
“Truly a sight to see, isn't it?” I ask looking out at my own illusion, I saw ponies coming out of their homes and looking up at the night sky, I had Luna notice this, she started to cry in joy.
“They truly love this night sky… but… it's not mine…” she says looking up at the sky.
“True… but it could be, one day, with enough practice, you could create this on your own… but I think tonight, you could use a little break.” I say hugging her, she is surprised by this.
“Really? You… do you really think so?” she asks looking at me as I gaze at my illusion.
“Yes… I believe that one day, in the far or near future, you will be able to bring this night sky every day, bringing even more beauty to your night sky." I replied leaning back and watching my illusion take effect.
"Thank you... but what is your name?" she asks me, getting me to chuckle.
"Call me Forest, it's what everyone else calls me." i say smiling at her, noting that she had a small smile herself.

Meeting the last royal... and some late night magic practice

"I can't believe that you both talked me into this…" I say as we walked towards the castle, Luna and Cadence were both with me.
Over the years, Luna had been coming to my home to see me teach Cadence my wizard magic, eventually they both used the cute doggy eyes with trembling lip combo to get me to cave at the thought of finally meeting Celestia. Our magic has become greater in power over the last seven years, but we haven't started any new spells, as we were trying to grow in power, Luna had begun to learn the Cleric spells in my book, she's been making great progress in the field of healing, the other parts were a little challenging for her, but she was still making very good progress.
"Well i know that Aunty Tia will like you daddy, it's just her trying to get you to trust her that's going to be a challenge for her." Cadence said from my shoulders, where she was currently riding.
"Tis true… our sister will have to earn thou's trust, just like we did, which will be hard, as our sister is very trusting, if not too trusting of those she meets before getting to know them." Luna said agreeing with Cadence on the topic of trust.
Now, they weren't wrong, it took awhile for me to trust Luna, but now we're as close as can be, I even listen to her problems about how nopony likes her night, even though she's been getting better at the whole, part of the galaxy look in the sky.
"True… that will be a challenge for her, but I think she'll go too far in trying to accomplish that, which will be really annoying." I remark getting both mares to giggle at my statement.
It took about three more minutes to reach the castle gate, guards saluting the princesses while eyeing me, I just saluted them and they nodded in response, letting me in. It took another twenty minutes for us to actually talk to Celestia, a very boring twenty minutes, when she finally arrived at the table in the royal dining hall she paused to look at me before sitting in her chair, which was at the head of the table, we sat there in silence for a good six minutes before Luna said something to break the silence.
"How was thou's day court sister?" She asked glancing at her before going back to the menu she was holding.
"Boring as usual sister, but we must ask, who is this being?" Celestia replied before pointing at me, I raised my eyebrow as if to ask her if she knew how rude she was being.
"If you wish to ask a question about me Celestia, then ask me directly, or don't ask at all." I say startling her slightly before settling down, glaring at me slightly.
"It would be polite to call us princess while thou ist talking to us commoner, or thou will be expelled from our castle." She replied getting Luna to look at her slightly confused as to why she said that.
"Yeah no, I'll call you princess when you've earned my respect and trust Celestia, which Lulu can agree to this, it's hard to do." I reply grabbing an apple and looking at it before glancing right into her eyes. "Not to mention, you'll have both Luna and Cadence against you if you try to expel me from the castle." I say pointing at her before taking a bite out of the apple i grabbed, she glared at me hard while Luna put her hand up to her mouth, trying not to giggle.
"Very well, and how do we earn thou's trust?" She asked looking at me expectantly.
"I don't know, everypony's different, I trusted Cadence completely in half a year, Luna took three years for me to completely trust her, so it might take even longer for you, if you even try to gain my trust." I say shrugging my shoulders in response, she definitely took that as a challenge.
"Very well, we accept thy challenge stranger, we will earn thou's trust by this day next year, so help us Faust!" She declared looking at me with pure determination in her eyes.
"Good luck then Celestia, you'll need it." I say before we continue with dinner.

It was that night that Cadence came up to me as I was heading towards my guest room Luna gave me for the night.
"Daddy, can we practice summoning magic tonight?" She asked as she tugged on my sleeve.
"Why practice summoning Mi Amore?" I ask, curious as to why she wanted to practice such spells.
"Well, I've been reading the spellbook and i noticed that summoning spells are harder to do correctly, so I wanted to be able to get them down without failing a summons." She explained bouncing her fingers together, it was a simple and sound explanation, so I guess there's no use in not practicing.
"Very well, but let's go outside for this, we wouldn't want to ruin the castle." I said walking out towards the gardens.
It was truly a sight to see, so many flowers in so many different colors, it was beautiful, me and Cadence found an open spot where Luna was actually sitting while watching her sky with concentration, I decided, since Clerics can also summon creatures, that i'll teach her too.
"Hey Luna, how are you tonight?" I ask, snapping her out of her concentration.
"Ah, brother, we didn't notice thou there, we art fine, how art thou tonight?" She replies looking at us in a warm greeting before hugging me.
"Since when did you start calling me brother Luna?" I ask in confusion, because she's never called me that before.
"Sorry, it's just, we feel like thou ist a part of our family, especially since thou listens to us and give advice, supporting us along the way, especially when it comes to our night sky, you let us see a potential that we have never dreamed of before, plus, our niece Cadenza sees you as her father, therefore, you art our brother, making thou a prince of Equestria." She explained the reasoning behind calling me brother.
"Ah, I see, very well then… onto what I wanted to ask you Luna, would you care to join us for a special magic lesson?" I asked, getting her to look at me surprised.
"A special lesson? What is so special about this lesson?" She asks, getting me to chuckle.
"Well, there's one kind of spell that I've been holding off teaching either of you, but Cadence asked me if we could try it tonight, so I agreed, and since your learning Cleric spell, and they can also do this kind of spell, i thought to include you in this lesson." I explained pulling out two books, one being the spellbook while the other was a white journal, much thicker than the spellbook.
"Really? This spell is one that all of us can do?" She asks, I just nod before she walks towards the center of the clearing, excitement and determination in her eyes. "Let us master this spell." She exclaimed putting a fist into the air, ready to start.
"Okay, what this lesson will be about, is summoning, now, there are two different summoning spells, one is called 'Summon Nature's Ally' while the other is called 'Summon Monster', I will be teaching you two the second one, as the first one is for Druids only." I say getting the two to nod, I had their full attention, now i just need to continue the lesson. "Now, both of these spells have ranks, meaning the stronger the summoning spell, the stronger the monster or the more monsters summoned, the ranks are as follows, 'Summon Monster' one, two, three, four, five, all the way up to nine, as that is the strongest summoning spell anypony can do, no matter what." I explain, they nod, following every word I say, I see Celestia out of the corner of my eyes, she's trying to hide while watching us. "Now, at the level you two are at, you both can do a level three summons, which means you can cast levels one to three, now, by casting a level one summoning spell, you can summon up to three rank one monsters, now, these monsters all have a rank and a category, a rank one monster is in the small category, as they are small creatures, so they won't take much space." I continued explaining until I saw Cadence put her hand up. "Yes Cadence?" I ask looking straight at her.
"What's the small category mean?" She asks politely, getting me to smile at her question.
"Excellent question my dear, the small category means how big a creature is, me and Luna here are considered normal category creatures while you are considered a small category creature, so anything you summon from the rank one spell will be either your height or slightly smaller." I explain to them, they both nod in understanding, Celestia is writing everything I've said so far down.
"Okay, so, how do we summon these monsters?" Luna asks getting my attention.
"I was just getting to that Luna, now this white book has every monster you can summon, each level or rank is marked by a colored tab, look at the monsters in between the first two tabs, as those are the monsters you can summon with the first spell, go ahead and decide which monster you want to summon." I say before tossing over the white journal.
I had looked through this journal before as I trained my magic without Cadence, i call pull off a level five summoning with little difficulty, but those are the only level four and five spells i've trained myself in so far for both classes, the book has a page for every monster that a Spellcaster can summon per spell rank with a very detailed colored drawing showing what the monster looks like, they were looking at the first set of monsters, which was eight different monsters, meaning eight pages of first rank monsters, after they both look at the pages for about ten minutes, they toss the book back towards me.
"Found one that you both want to summon?" I ask, putting the book away.
"Yeah, the ‘Fire Beetle'." Cadence says pumping her hands, Luna nods to the statement.
"Okay, let me just set the stage for this summoning." I say before squatting down, my hand sideways against the ground. "Dreck zu Sand und Sand zu Stein." I say, as I twist my hand a hundred and eighty degrees, turning the dirt underneath us to sand and then turning that sand to solid stone.
I learned that some spells could only be casted in German instead of Italian, which is helpful, since I now know every language from Earth(Thank you Merchant!), the girls look at me shocked, as they both know those spells weren't in the spellbook.
"How did you…" Cadence starts to ask before I put a hand up.
"Magic that i won't be able to teach either of you, besides i just did this so we wouldn't burn down the garden summoning something that was on fire, I'll turn it back once we're done." I say answering the question that was in their heads as I stand up.
"Oh… okay." She replies before nodding, Luna also nodded, accepting that answer.
"Alright, so now, both of you close your eyes and imagine the creature you want to summon in your head, five feet in front of you, now repeat after me while accessing your magic: 'Evoca Monster One'." I instruct them, they both cast the spell and two circles of intricate magic used to summon creatures appear at their hooves before two Fire Beetles appear five feet in front of them, both beetles look exactly like they should, the girls look at the beetles in shock and excitement before hugging each other.
"We did it aunty! We made our first summons!" Cadence said while bouncing up and down in the hug.
"Okay, okay, now that i can tell you have the basics down, let's do the other three summoning spells you both can use." I say waving the book in front of me, they looked excited.
We spent the rest of the night practicing their summoning magic, they got really good, I even taught them how to relieve a summoned monster they had out already, I even taught them how to summon tiny creatures within the palm of their hands, they liked that training, as they had to do it tied back to back and without me noticing, it lasted a good five hours before they were able to get free, Celestia watched us patiently waiting until we left the garden to actually try the summoning.

“Why can't we pull off the spell, we did everything they were told, so why are we failing, we are doing it exactly like them, picturing what we want to summon, we are using our magic, but nothing, so why? Why are we failing?!” I say after my twentieth attempt at doing the same spell, attempting to summon the so called ‘Fire Beetle’ as he called it.
“Maybe because you're using your magic wrong Celestia.” a voice says from behind me, spinning around i see nothing but flowers and trees too small to hide anypony.
“Who ist there? Show thyself!” I call out readying my magic for a stun spell.
“Really Celestia? A stun spell? How naive you truly are for your age.” the voice said, this time to my left, firing the spell, it hit nothing, then the being I met at lunch came out of thin air.
“What art thou doing here creature, shouldn't thou be asleep at this hour?” I asked him, he was getting on my nerves, teaching my sister and niece magic of all ponies, he was messing with me, i know it.
“Yeah, I should, but so should you, so go to sleep Celestia, it won't do you any good to stay up until daybreak.” he says leaning against one of the trees.
“Not until we have mastered the spell thou taught our niece.” I say with determination, he simply shakes his head and walks up to me.
“Fine, I'll teach you the summoning spell, now close your eyes…” he says standing right in front of me, I nod and close my eyes, waiting for the next step. “Okay, now… Coperta del sonno…” he says before I feel sleep take me into the realm of dreams.

<<<1218 Post-Discordian Era, Everfree Forest, Flare POV>>>
Wind, pure wind as it parted in front of my face. That was the only thing i felt rush past me as i ran through the forest, dodging this way and that as i dodged projectiles of magic that were trying to either stun me or injure me, i didn't care either way, i just had to run, i finally made Celestia snap as she saw me with flaming hands, against the ‘Tree of Harmony’, she and Luna both came after me, Cadence was still at the cave we first met, gathering my things, i never did move them, but i did make a couple of clones to keep them in good condition, i kept heading towards a couple of trees near the cave that would block me, as if it were a dead end, i gave the rest of my clones one mission: ‘Find Fia and my daughters.’ with that i gave the sisters a good run for their money, even exhausting as many spells as possible before not having any magic, i only had one spell left, and that was ‘Sleep’, which i was going to cast on myself just before i would become petrified, i made it to the trees that blocked my path just as the sisters caught up to me.
“Tis thee end of thee line for thou villain!” Celestia says as the Elements start to rotate around them.
“Dormire…” I whisper, casting the last spell on myself, and making sure the clones were already out of the Everfree.
The effect was slow, but it would take effect once i was petrified… that was almost 1600 years ago, I'm now two statues down from the Lord of Chaos himself in the gardens of Canterlot, which is now on the side of a mountain, Luna was trapped in the moon but has returned, I saw Twilight frequently in the garden, always reading under either my statue or one that looked like Starswirl the Bearded, it was amusing how she could tell I was watching her, but could never see me, i saw Luna back in Canterlot about two weeks ago, she stopped by my statue, talking to me as if I didn't hear her, I even saw Cadence again, this time as an alicorn, she still had my bag of holding tied around her neck, still containing all of my items. I was playing cards in the mindscape everyone here in the castle gardens use when there's nothing to do when i heard a very familiar voice that would kick off the start of season two.
“--and here class is a very old being, his name was never specified, though nowadays, he's called Arcana, because he was able to perform feats of magic that not even Princess Celestia and Luna could do.” Cheerilee said as she stopped in front of my statue, looked at the group, i saw the three fillies responsible for Discord’s release.
“What could he do that the princesses couldn't Miss Cheerilee?” I heard the bane of mlp, Diamond Tiara ask.
“Well, the princesses told stories of how he could summon lightning storms on clear days faster than any pegasus weather team, summon beings of pure fire, and even transform into elder dragons with very destructive magic.” Cheerilee replied, getting the fillies to look at me in awe.
“Well, that's not all i could do Cheerilee, i have a wide range of magic, not just lightning storms and transformations.” I say as my astral form appears next to my statue, the ponies look at me in shock. “Relax, i'm just projecting myself so I could update the history books about yours truly." I said leaning against my statue, smirking a bit.
"O-okay… what are you, as it's unclear as to who you are." Cheerilee asked putting up a front of bravery.
"Well… I guess you could say i'm not from Equestria, I come from another land, far off the eastern shores of the Dragon Lands, I won't bore you with the details, but due to certain magical circumstances, I was forced to leave my home by divine intervention and until about 1524 years ago, I roamed Equestria, training ponies in the ways of my magic, I even taught princess Luna a thing or two, especially when it comes to summoning, which reminds me, I need to get my stuff back when i'm released from my petrification…" I say getting them to look at me in awe before looking at me nervously, I noticed that. "Oh don't worry your heads off, i'm not a villain, in fact, i had to be petrified so i could live today, you see, i'm not some monster or some ancient villain that Celestia makes me out to be, in fact, i used her so i could live longer, after all, if I had lived normally, i would've lived for eight hundred years before dying, and now, I've still got eight hundred years left to live, all thanks to me playing the sisters like a fiddle, anyways, i shouldn't keep you lot waiting, it's a very important day today, and something fun is going to start very soon." I say as I look up towards the sky briefly, before jumping up to my statute, and taking my position before disappearing from view.
The class stayed at my statute for a moment longer before moving on towards Discord's statute
"Oh Discord~!" I call put into the mindscape, the driconicuis almost immediately.
"Ah! Hello my little nature master, what's going on for you to call yours truly?" He says just as the class gets to him.
"Oh not much, just get ready for a prison break, found you a small dose of chaos for your enjoyment, the three fillies in the back, yellow earth pony, white unicorn and orange pegasus." I tell him just as they start fighting, gaining both of our attentions, I could feel the chaos those three alone were generating and going straight into Discord.
“Wooooo~” Discord said as the energy filled him up all the way before the class left. “Talk about a POWER RUSH!” he says breaking out of his stone prison, looking at me with a very sincere smile gracing his face. “I suppose I should repay you for the chaos you gave me to actually break free today… so in return…” he says before snapping his eagle claw, I slowly turn back to flesh and blood, collapsing onto the ground with a weakened body and very little magic.
“You have my thanks Discord… as you were the only one who kept me sane in that prison…” I say as I slowly get up, leaning against the base of where my statue once was. “But how did you know the ‘Stone to Skin’ spell? I haven't even taught Luna that spell, and i doubt Cadence would let her see it.” I ask glancing over to him, he chuckles at the question.
“I saw Cadence with your spellbook on a page that had that spell, I just had to memorise how the spell worked.” he explained in the simplest way possible.
“Oh… thanks anyways Dis, if you ever need help with the Elements, let me know, I'll come and snach them up.” I say standing up before turning to leave.
“I'll let you know, Tyrone.” he says making me become stock still before relaxing and chuckling a bit.
“You know… you're the only being in the last sixteen hundred and eighteen years to call me by my real name… and not by the nickname I gave myself… though i suppose that how you kept me sane Dis… by reminding me of who I once was.” I say looking back at him with a small smile on my lips before I walk away holding my fist up to the sky, I could tell Discord did the same before disappearing in a puff of multicolored smoke.
I put on my cloak that's tied around my waist, as i've never worn it except for when Cadence first found me, so none of the ponies know who i am, i was able to get out of the castle grounds quickly as i snuck by the guards at the front entrance and went towards the train station, I knew it wasn't the right time to reveal myself, I would go into the Everfree first, and meditate, letting me regain my Druidic magic, also grab my whip, just in case.
"Hello good sir, one ticket to Ponyville please." I say to the pony at the booth.
"Alright, that'll be four bits." He says getting out the ticket, I quickly took out four coins and stacked them in front of him, he hands me the ticket before taking the gold pieces. "Next train to Ponyville is in ten minutes, have a nice day." He says putting the bits away.
"Thank you, and have a nice day as well good sir." I say bowing briefly before heading over to the train, as scheduled, the train came in ten minutes later, i get on and the train departs to Ponyville.
"Excuse me, can I see your ticket?" I hear as I wait for the train to stop in Ponyville, looking over, i see a pony that has a stamp in one hand.
"Sure." I say before handing over my ticket.
"Thank you." He replies before checking it over. "Everything looks good, have a safe trip to Ponyville sir." He says stamping my ticket before handing it back.
"Thank you, and have a nice day." I reply taking my ticket and closing my eyes again.
The train stopped fifteen minutes later in Ponyville, I notice that I got on the same train as Cheerilee's class, as they got out of the train car next to mine, Scootaloo saw me and her eyes widened when she did, I know she could see my smile, so i just put a finger to my lips, telling her to stay quiet, she nodded quickly an i nodded back before i walked away from her and into the heart of Ponyville. I could see that the main six were coming towards me, Pinkie looked at me and gasped in surprise before leaping at me, I simply waited until she was right in front of me before jumping over her, she landed on the ground face first before the other girls come over to check on her.
"HII'MPINKIEPIEWHATSYOURNAME?WHATSYOURFAVORITECAKEFLAVOR?ICECREAMFLAV--mmmfffph." She starts going off before i place a finger on her lips.
"You can plan my 'Welcome to Ponyville' party after you get back from Canterlot." I say getting all of them to look at me in surprise.
"Now how'd ya know we were headin' ta Canterlot?" Applejack asked looking at me in suspicion.
"Because you six were running for the train station, and the next train to leave is the one to Canterlot, i also know who you six are, but don't worry, all will be explained in time, by the way, egghead, tell your mentor and her sister that their brother says hi, they'll know who you're talking about." I say before walking off, the girls watch me for a few moments before rushing towards the train station.
"This is going to be fun." I think, before heading towards the Everfree, nopony stopped me and i noticed Scootaloo following me.
It didn't take me long before getting to the forest, I could already tell that the episode started once I saw a flash of light in Twilight's treebrary/house. Once I went in, I notice that nothing about the forest has really changed, only that there's more animals living here than there was before, probably because ponies don't live here anymore. I took the same path that I used when I first came here, noticing Scootaloo taking the same path, only slower. I make it to the cave I once called home, inside i see that there's a female manticore, with three cubs, it noticed me immediately and started growling.
"Leave this place pony, or i'll attack you where you stand." It said in it's growl, i simply raised
"I don't mean you or your cubs any harm ma'am," I say getting the manticore to look at me surprised. "I am simply here to grab something that i left when this was my home." I continue, keeping my hands up and slightly in front of me.
"You speak my language, how?" She asks before looking me up and down.
"Because I have been trained since birth to speak to the wild and what calls it home, what I seek is right above you, i will grab it and go, not disturbing your cubs." I reply inching my way towards her, i sense Scootaloo at the mouth of the cave, watching me and the manticore.
"Very well, grab it and leave, but first tell me your name pony." She says letting me relax.
"I am simply called Forest, the master of nature." I reply bowing before walking up to her and reaching above her head, feeling my whip almost immediately.
"Very well, thank you for not disturbing my cubs Forest." She said bowing her head to me as I backed up and placed my whip on my belt.
"Of course ma'am, I know how hard being a parent is, i'm the father of three daughters myself after all, the biggest bane and gift of my life." I say bowing before leaving the cave, the manticore giggling at the statement.
I look for the waterfall me and Cadence used to train near before calling Scootaloo out.
"You know, it's not nice to stalk people who aren't doing anything." I say loud enough that a bush shook, most likely her being surprised.
"How did you know i was watching you?" She asks as she comes out of the undergrowth.
"I knew since Ponyville that you were following me." I reply looking over at her, taking the hood of my cloak off.
"What!? But how, i was being stealthy and everything!" She exclaimed in surprise.
"Stealthy, yes, quiet, not so much." I reply as I shrug my shoulders, she pouts in sadness, her face reminding me of Cadence when she was younger.
"Darn it, i thought it was good." She says halfheartedly, getting me to chuckle.
"It was good, i'm just better, not to mention, we're in my domain." I say before spreading my arms out wide, as if i was showing off the forest.
"You mean, your domain is the forest?" She asks getting me to notice the hope and excitement in her slightly.
Hearing that, I decided to try something, something that would let me train somepony in my true talent: I spoke the next sentence in Druidic.
"Why of course, i'm one with nature, but tell me young filly, what's your name?" I ask, seeing if she gives an answer or a question next.
"I'm Scootaloo, but my friends call me Scoots for short." She replies as if i didn't just switch languages on her, this brought me untold amounts of joy.
"You understood that…" I said just loud enough before clapping my hands excitedly, much to her confusion.
"What do you mean? You just asked a question." She says as if ponies switching languages on her was a daily occurrence.
"True, but I asked it in a very rare language, the fact that you not only understood it, but responded to the question means you have a great potential in you to learn a magic that I never had the honor of teaching anyone before." I explain to her, getting her to look at me shocked.
"R-really?" She asks, hope filling her voice.
"Yes, you have great potential Scootaloo, and i can help you unlock that potential, if you'll accept my offer to teach you." I say bowing before her, as if she was royalty.
"What do I do to unlock this potential?" She asks, getting me to smile.
"Well, I'll have to teach you Druidic, the language i just spoke in, and Sylvan, as those two languages are at the core of being who we are." I say, she looks at me in wonder.
"What else?" She asks, getting me to remember what I had to do.
"Well, you'll need an understanding of how a Druid's magic works, as well as how to direct that magic into your hands and hooves, then once you got that down, i can start teaching you my magic, but for now I must rest, as I had not been able to gain my magic back in over sixteen hundred years." I say, getting her to nod, before asking another question .
"Can you teach me how to gain my magic now?" She asks, I ponder that, as it would help in her training, plus it would let me regain my magic too.
"Very well, come on over, I'll teach you how we Druids gain our magic when we're low on it." I say beconing her over to me, she jumps over as I sit down, I motion for her to do the same. "Okay, so how a Druid gathers magic, is letting nature flow through them." I say getting in position to start.
"And how do they do that?" She asks, sitting in the same position i'm in.
"By meditation, we let all the sounds of everything around us take place over our hearing, we clear our minds, and relax, the energy that nature holds then begins to flow into us, filling us with its energy, giving us the gift to control every aspect of nature, through magic." I say closing my eyes, letting nature flow through me, letting me regain my magic, i could tell that Scootaloo was doing the same. "Do you feel something deep within you, wanting to flow free?" I ask as I meditate, listening for her response.
"Yeah, but it seems blocked, as if something was stopping it from flowing through me." She replies sighing in sadness.
"What blocks you is both your fear of the forest around you, a fear that has been ingrained into you since you were born, and your doubt, doubt that you could do the impossible, let these feelings go, let them be washed away in the rivers of your emotions, and lost to the sands of time." I say, picking up my 'wise man' voice again, my magic is almost back completely, just as i notice that the sun and moon are starting to switch places every few minutes. "Do you feel it now?" I ask after she took a big deep breath, calming herself inside.
"Yeah… I can feel the flow of the water as it goes into the waterfall to the lake below… the whisper of the wind as it dances through the trees and the grass… the running of Timberwolves and other animals as they hunt for food… it's almost overwhelming…" she describes the forest around us, all sorts of animals started to gather around us, even a pack of Timberwolves and a couple of Manticores.
"The first couple of times usually are, but the more you do it, the more accustomed to the feeling you'll get." I say smiling at the description she gave the surrounding area and slightly beyond that, my magic fully back, we both open our eyes, smiling at the animals that are around us.
"Are these animals usually this calm?" She asks, I smile a bit longer before answering.
"Only when people like us are here, we naturally calm animals down, sort of like we're creating a zone of peace, letting all of them have no need to hurt each other, no matter if they are predator or prey." I say getting her to squee at a small timberwolf lying down with a bunny, and a bluejay resting on top of it.
"We truly are masters of nature aren't we…" she says, getting me to chuckle as a rather large wolf, even bigger than the timberwolves comes up behind me.
"Not really, we're more protectors or servants than masters, as we do not control nature, but nature lets us use her powers, since she can't use them herself, the same goes for the creatures we summon to aid us in battle." I reply, just before the wolf nudges my back. "Speaking of creatures, it's good to see you again… Artimus, my old friend." I say reaching up and behind me, scratching the ears of the Dire Wolf behind me, Scootaloo looks at me in shock as Artimus places her head on my shoulder.
"Where have you been brother, i missed you all these years." She whispers to me as she nuzzles my neck.
"I've been around here for a few years… then i was petrified for just over fifteen hundred years, i just got back an hour ago, i'm sorry if I worried you Arty." I reply hugging her neck, Scootaloo starts looking confused.
"It's okay, i'm just glad to know you're safe." She says before looking over at Scootaloo. "Who's this?" She asks sniffing her, making Scoots go rigid.
"This is Scootaloo, she's like me Arty… I finally found another Druid." I say, getting her to look at me in shock and surprise before looking at Scootaloo.
"Um… sir, who's this and what is she doing?" Scoots asks me as Artimus starts circling her.
"Don't worry Scoots, this is Artimus, my companion, friend and sister, and as for what she's doing… she's currently getting a size up of you, but that's nothing you have to worry about… it's just that it's been a long, and i mean long time since we've met another Druid…" I say getting her to look at me worried, she immediately hugs me.
"I don't know what you've been through, but I do know the pain that you're feeling, i've been feeling it for nine years."she whispers to me, getting me to hug her, this reminded me of when Cadence had that nightmare of two of my memories.
"Don't hold your tears back Scootaloo, let them flow like the rivers that carve the land they flow through." I say just before she breaks down in tears.
We sat there for ten minutes before a scroll pops into existence in front of me and unfolding: it was a letter from Discord, he needed my help and the Elements were about the be at his location to petrify him again.
"I did say I'd help…" I think sighing, Artimus just looks at me curiously. "Arty, can you keep Scoots company? The person responsible for getting us both out of stone is about to be petrified by the same method we were." I ask moving Scootaloo over to her, she simply nods before curling up around her.
The walk there was a quick one as i simply used 'Tree Stride' to get to the edge of the Everfree and started walking towards Discord's throne, the girls were all lined up and ready to go, the necklaces glowing and shooting off their respective shapes. I took the liberty to sneak up behind them before anything major happened and got my whip out, the girls started floating in mid air, a white light coming from all of them, and just as the rainbow shot out from them; I cracked my whip, it flew towards them and wrapped around the element of magic, I begun smiling at the accuracy of that.
"I still got it after all these years." I think as i pulled back, lifting the crown up and off Twilight's head, the 'Rainbow Laser of Friendship' faltered before dissipating before it hit Discord, I left the scene right after, Discord seeing me with the crown in my hands. I went and put it in the one place nopony would bother looking: my D.O.T. which blocks all magical items, like the elements, from being tracked, not to mention it's imbued into the right side of my cloak, making it open and close with my thoughts.

It was another normal day in my new home town of Ponyville, the sun was shining, the birds were singing, and I was reading the 'History of Equestria' again, well, more like a certain part of it, the Post-Discordian Era, years 1203 to 1218, where a friend turned villain was marked, not much was said about him, but he was amazing, a being that could do all of these magical feats that not even Celestia could do, he even taught princess Luna before she became Nightmare Moon, but that was all that the book said on him, his history with the princesses not even five pages long, but was still the most memorable in my eyes, so it's safe to say that it took me by surprise when Spike came downstairs with a letter in his claws.
"Twilight! Princess Celestia is summoning you and the girls to Canterlot immediately, she said it was important." He said coming up next to me holding a scroll up to me, I quickly grab it with my magic and scan the letter, true to his words, Princess Celestia was summoning me and the girls to Canterlot immediately for something very important.
"Thank you for telling me Spike, go ahead and take the day off after your chores, i'll be back by tonight after whatever Princess Celestia wants us to do is done." I said before hugging him, he quickly starts on his chores after that.
I left my new home and library in search for Pinkie, as she could gather everypony quickly, and luckily for me, she was skipping down the road towards me.
"Pinkie!" I call out jogging up to her.
"Hiya Twilight, what's going on?" She asks me, getting me to sigh, she could always tell when something was off.
"I'm glad i found you Pinkie, I need you to gather the rest of the girls and bring them to my place, something I was just informed of something important and we all need to be there." I reply, she simply salutes me like a royal guard before disappearing in a cloud of smoke that was shaped exactly like her.
I went back to my place and gathered some bits so we could get tickets for the train, and waited at the front door for my friends, one by one they appeared, the first was the cyan pegasus: Rainbow Dash, she flew in and landed in front of me.
"Hey Twi, what's going on? Pinkie said that you were informed of something important and that I was to come here." She said looking at me with a strange mix of excitement and confusion.
"I'll tell you when the girls get here, i ask Pinkie to grab all of you." I replied leaning against the wood of my tree house.
That was all I needed to say for her to be quiet, and soon enough, the rest of the girls got here, they all looked at me, asking why I had gotten Pinkie to grab them.
"Okay girls, so not to long ago, i got a letter from Princess Celestia tell me to grab all of you and head to Canterlot, saying it was important, we need to leave to get on the next train to Canterlot, any questions?" I explained as much as I could with the information given to me, Fluttershy raised her hand. "Yes Fluttershy?" I ask, giving her the floor.
"Shouldn't we go now? The next train is going to be here in six minutes." She asks pointing towards the clock, and sure enough, there was only six minutes until the next train to Canterlot gets here.
"Oh sweet Celestia, you're right, let's hurry girls, we can't be late." I say sprinting off for the train station.
One benefit of having athletic friends, that i'm rather athletic myself, not as much as Rainbow or AJ, but i'm well fit. I could see the train pulling into the station as we were running towards it, I knew we'd have three minutes to spare if we continued at the pace we're going, at least until Pinkie gasped and rush tackled somepony… only for said pony to front flip over her as she was about to tackle him, he landed on his feet as she went face first into the ground, she got back up as we came up to them.
"HII'MPINKIEPIEWHATSYOURNAME?WHATSYOURFAVORITECAKEFLAVOR?ICECREAMFLAV--mmmfffph." She started off on her tangent for the new pony, this pony just placed their finger on her lips, making her stop.
"You can plan my 'Welcome to Ponyville' party after you get back from Canterlot." The pony said, confirming in my mind that it was a stallion, just before the questions settled in.
"Who did he know we were going to Canterlot!?" My logical side yelled in my head.
Which brought up a good point, not even five minutes, heck, not even a single understood sentence from any of us and this stallion already knew we were heading to Canterlot.
"Now how'd ya know we were headin' ta Canterlot?" Applejack asked the question on all of our minds.
"Because you six were running for the train station, and the next train to leave is the one to Canterlot, i also know who you six are, but don't worry, all will be explained in time, by the way, egghead, tell your mentor and her sister that their brother says hi, they'll know who you're talking about." He said before looking straight at me, a small smile gracing his muzzle.
"Wait, how do you know my mentor?" I ask just as he turns to leave.
"Like I said, Twilight Sparkle, student of Princess Celestia, wielder of the Element of Magic, all will be explained in time, just tell Princess Celestia and Luna that their brother says hi, they'll know who you're talking about… now you six might want to run, the train's about to depart." He said before walking away, we stayed there to watch him until we heard the train whistle go off, signaling for anypony getting on to get on now.
"Let's go girls, we'll deal with him later." I say before heading for the train.
We boarded last second and took our seats, besides me and my friends, the train car was empty, letting us talk about anything.
"Just who was that stallion? And why was he cloaked in such dark clothes?" RD asked as the train took off from the station.
"I don't know Dash… but he wasn't tellin' the whole truth, he told a lie." AJ said getting us to look at her.
"Whatever do you mean darling?" Rarity asked, curiosity getting the better of her, the same question was in my head.
"Well… it's kinda complicated, i know for a fact that he was tellin' a lie, but my gut was sayin' that he was speakin' the truth…" she replied, getting all of us to think back on what he said, that's when it hit me.
"You mean that Princess Celestia and Luna have a brother in the first place…" I say, getting the girls to look shocked that such a fact in his words was overlooked, even by me.
"Right… there's no point in history that says the princesses have another siblin', only teachers n' friends, but no family, 'cept their parents." She replied, getting all of us to think about the stallion in question.
"He's definitely fast, fast enough to out maneuver Pinkie, and she can move fast when there's a new pony in town." Fluttershy remared, getting us to nod at that fact, out speeding Pinkie was a feat of itself, as she could keep up with Dash while flying at half speed, which was fast in of itself, not to mention how she defied the laws of physics every day.
"True, but the only way to know if it was the truth or not is to tell the princesses, and see how they react, if they're confused, then he was telling a lie, anything else and he was telling the truth." I say in confidence, the others agreeing with me.
The train stopped at Canterlot station and we departed, coming face to face with four royal guards, one earth pony, two unicorns and a pegasus.
"Greetings ma'am's we were sent here to escort you to the castle by the princess, please follow us." The pegasus said before they made a box formation around us before escorting us to the castle.
The trip wasn't an eventful one, and we didn't really talk about anything for not wanting the guards to hear us, upon arriving, they brought us to the main hall, where Princess Celestia was talking quietly to her sister Princess Luna.
"Princess Celestia, we came as soon as we could." I said bowing in respect, both of them turned to look at us, whatever they were talking about stopped for a later date.
"Ah, greetings Twilight, i'm glad you could all make it, I was beginning to wonder where you girls were." Celestia said in a motherly greeting, Luna simply nodded her head in welcoming.
"What was so important that you needed us to be here so quickly princess?" Shy asked getting us to wonder too.
"I'm afraid that and old enemy of ours has come back to conquer Equestria again, come, i will tell you along the way." She replied before turning down one of the halls.
"Um… before i forget princess, somepony told me to tell both of you something before we got here…" i say making them turn to me, i started to freak out inside.
"And what did this pony say Twilight?" Celestia asked me, Luna waiting for me to say it.
"The pony said to tell you that your brother says hi…" I replied getting both of them to look at me in shock.
"W-what did you say?" Celestia asked cautiously, making me nervous.
"That your brother says hi… and that you'd know who he was talking about…" I reply, my voice definitely going up two octaves.
"No… it can't be… he's out too, how is he out, he shouldn't be out..." I hear Celestia say in fear, making me freak out in my head, worse than I was before.
"He actually remembered us… sister… he actually remembered us!" Luna exclaimed in joy, having the exact opposite reaction to Celestia.
"But now he's out too Luna, you aren't worried even in the slightest?!" Celestia asked in fear and shock, getting all of us to look at each other in worry, this stallion's words were making Princess Celestia , of all ponies, afraid of whoever this brother of theirs is.
"Um… princesses, mind tellin' us who your supposed brother is? 'Cause this is the first time we've ever heard of 'im." AJ asked getting them to look at each other, then to us.
"I… I suppose, since he's already out… you girls should know… of the stallion that nearly destroyed the birthplace of the Elements of Harmony." Celestia said getting all of our jaws to drop to the ground.
"Nearly destroyed the birthplace of the Elements!?!?" My mind went on shutdown directly after screaming that as my jaw dropped through the floor.
After about ten minutes, we all came to our senses, it was still hard to wrap our minds around that.
"Okay… I think we're good, so please princess, start from the top." Rarity said as we started walking down the hall with both princesses.
"Well… I suppose Luna should start first, as she was the first to meet him…" Celestia said looking over at her sister.
"Of course Tia, you see, I first met our brother… well, he's not exactly our brother, but I at least treated him like one." Luna starts off, getting our curiosity peaked.
"That's why he was never mentioned in the history books, because he was never an actual part of your family." I say making Luna giggle a bit, much to our confusion.
"Oh he was mentioned all right, not as a brother, but as a best friend turned villain." She replies teleporting a book in before quickly turning to a certain page, showing it to us, I felt my jaw drop in shock.
"Your brother is Arcana!? The stallion who could do feats of magic that even the both of you can't do! That's your brother?!" I exclaim in shock and surprise, which then made the girls jaws drop in shock.
"Yes indeed, he was quite the magic master, he even taught me some of the spells I know." Luna replied teleporting the book back to wherever it was in the first place.
"Like what exactly?" I asked in pure curiosity, the girls wanting to know too.
"Well… mostly healing spells, as well as some transfiguration spells, and then… he taught us four summoning spells, each stronger than the last." She replied going over the spells in her head.
"Summoning spells?" I ask looking at Celestia, she just put her hands up.
"I don't know what he taught her, all i know is that he didn't trust me with his spells, because everytime i tried to perform one, he'd put me to sleep with his magic." She said crossing her arms over her chest.
"True, those were funny times, but i guess i could summon an old friend of mine… just to show you how it's done." Luna remarks, before turning her attention back to me.
"Please? This would be a breakthrough in the art of magic if i could do it too." I say getting out a pad and quill with my magic.
"Very well, you might want to stand back though." She says, i take seven steps back, once I do, she starts the spell.
I write down everything, from her stance to how the circle that appeared at her hooves looks, to how much magic she's using, it was then that I heard her voice.
"Evoca il Compagno dei tre mostri infernali!" She calls out before slamming her fist into the ground.
Upon doing so, three feet in front of her, a smaller circle, this one looking like two blood red pentagrams layered in opposite directions of each other appeared, a crimzon ball of fire, about three to four feet tall formed on it, once the fire dimmed down, we all saw a dog, only it's coat was ashen black with fiery patterns across its upper front paws and spanning all the way down it's back, there was wisps of fire on the back of each of its paws, it's chest and lower jaw were fire orange, it's eyes however, they weren't like Winona's eyes, no, these eyes were pure red, almost as if they contained a fire itself, it looked at all of us before turning to look at Luna, it then walked over and sat in front of her.
"Girls, say hello to my Hellhound, Ash, she's a very powerful beast that can hunt down her prey forever, never letting them out of her sight." She said petting the dog, I was about to say something before a word stood out to me.
"Princess Luna… what's a Hellhound?" I ask, everypony else looks to her for an answer.
"Well, from what brother told me… it's a sort of demonic dog, usually used by Fire Giants as pets, as they're immune to the Hellhound’s flaming breath." She replies slowly stroking her Hellhound's fur while sitting down.
"Okay… what's a Fire Giant?" I ask getting curious as to the terms she was using.
"Well… actually, I don't know, brother never told us about Fire Giants, only mentioned them when talking about another species." Luna says shrugging her shoulders, I sigh in sadness before getting an idea.
"Wait, couldn't you track down where your brother is with his magical aura?" I ask, getting Luna and Celestia to look slightly debating about it.
"Not exactly… from what he told me, only those who are classified as Wizards or Sorcerers from his homeland can track down anyone, with the right materials that is, and i'm not either of those." Luna answered, making Celestia sigh in defeat.
"If Luna can't track him, then i can't either, besides, we have nothing to use that is his to track him with in the first place." She said getting me to sigh in defeat, before Luna spoke up again.
"Well… there is one pony that's classified as a Sorcerer who can track him down… but I don't think she'll do it if we ask her… she's still holding that day against us Tia…" she said getting Ash to growl a bit, before Luna speaks in a language I can't understand, but apparently calms Ash down.
"I know sister… but if it's our only chance, what choice do we have but to ask." Celestia says with desperation thick in her voice.
"What if i ask her? I'm sure whoever this mare is, i can get her to perform the tracking spell for us, or at least give us something of his." I say getting both of the sisters to look at each other in contemplation before Luna gives a hesitant half nod as Celestia gives an understanding nod.
"Very well Twilight, Luna will take you to her, meanwhile I'll take the rest of the girls and give them the Elements of Harmony for the first enemy." Celestia says as Luna and Ash come up to me, while the girls go over to Celestia.
"Good luck Twi!" AJ calls out before we split ways.
"Thanks girls…" I call back before following Luna. "I'm going to need it for this." I whisper to myself as i come up next to Luna.
We came into the gardens of the castle before Luna stops me.
"Twilight, you must understand something, the mare you are about to meet is somepony you already know, however, when bringing up this subject, you must be careful, one misplaced word and she could summon creatures that make Ash here look like an ant in comparison, so please, please, be careful with how you speak to her on this subject." She says getting me to worry a bit.
"Of course Luna… I'll make sure she helps us, i just need to think before speaking." I say before heading into the garden.
It took five minutes before I found the mare in question, which made me overjoyed at who it was.
"Cadence!" I call out rushing up to her, she immediately smiles and stands up to greet me.
"Sunshine, sunshine, ladybugs awake, clap your hands and do a little shake." We both say in our little dance before hugging.
"Twilight, it's good to see you again, how have you been?" She asks as we end the hug.
"I've been good Cadence, but i'm afraid i'm not here to catch up… i need your help." I say interlocking my fingers a bit as I leaned back.
"What kind of help, love or magic?" She asks sitting down on the bench again, with me sitting next to her.
"Magic help… I need you to track somepony important down with your magic." I answer her, her eyebrow goes up when she heard that last part.
"And who, pray tell, is the pony you want me to track down with my magic?" She asks looking over at me while still facing forwards.
"He goes by the name 'Arcana', I was told that you were the only pony who could track him down." I say getting her to think about what I said.
"I can't help you there Twily, as i don't know who this 'Arcana' is, as well as having anything on me that would be his." She says shaking her head in slight defeat, I decide to add one thing that'll help.
"He's Celestia and Luna's brother…" I say, making her go wide eyed.
"Dad's free…" she says just loud enough to hear it.
"Wait, wait, wait, wait, Arcana's your dad?!" I say shocked, apparently not knowing anything about her past.
"His name isn't Arcana, but yes he is my father, taught me almost every spell I know." She replies before pulling out a small gold bag and opening it up, before reaching elbow length into the bag, making me look at the bag in shock and disbelief.
"How…?" I ask pointing at the bag she's rummaging through.
"It's a bag of holding, basically, it's sort of like a small pocket of space that can store just about anything you can put in it… now where is that book." She explains before looking at the entrance of the bag. "Ah, there it is." She says pulling out a light blue book from the bag before opening it, turning the pages. "Sweet deities above, it's been forever since I had to use this spell." She says getting me to look confused.
"Don't you mean sweet Celestia?" I ask making sure i heard her right.
"Nope, Celestia may be able to control the pathway of the sun, but that pales in comparison as to the nine deities that watch the planet." She says before reaching into the bag again. "Evoca Silver Mirror." She says before a mirror jumps out of the bag and into her open hand. "That charm is so useful… anyways, here goes nothing… Contatta Forest Flare." She says holding the mirror slightly out in front of her, the book in her lap.
At first nothing happens before the surface of the mirror starts to ripple, before showing the stallion from before.
"Who is this and why are you scrying me?" He asks looking in a different direction.
"Daddy, I thought you wouldn't forget me, i was your best student all those years ago." Cadence replies pouting a bit, the figure turns around quickly, looking directly at us.
"Mi Amore? Is that truly you?" He asks hold out a hand.
"It's me dad, you look like you haven't aged a day." She says getting the stallion to chuckle.
"Yeah… petrification can do that to ya." He says taking his hood off, finally revealing his face.
It was nothing like I've ever seen before, first off, his muzzle is flat, and his ears aren't on top of his head, then I noticed his golden eyes and crimson mane, it was short and slightly wild, giving him this slight bad boy look going on, i see his teeth are slightly sharp, a few really sharp, otherwise he has an attractive yet roguish look to his face, especially with his smirk, which he's now sporting.
"So, i know that someone told you i'm now free, so who's there?" He asks getting me to freeze up.
"My friend, Twilight." She responds quick and blunt.
"I see, Celestia and Lulu must have gotten the message I sent them then." He says before chuckling slightly evilly.
"Probably, they want to know where you are." She says making him think a bit before chuckling again, then going into a full laughing fit.
"T-tell them… Chaos is home, that's it, that vague." He says after settling down but still laughing a little.
"Oh… I get it, clever dad, very clever indeed." She smirks before tapping the glass. "See you around dad." She says before ending the spell, making the surface go back to normal before putting both items back in the golden bag, then putting that away.
"What does he mean 'Chaos is home'?" I ask, getting Cadence to chuckle a bit.
"Don't worry Twilight, just go head to Celestia, you're gonna wanna be there when it happens." She replies before standing up and moving towards the center of the clearing. "Dimension Tür!" She calls out before jumping forwards.
I watch as an area of the space in front of her turns into a deep blue version of a door appears before her, she vanishes within it before it closes by swirling into its center and then popping away from existence, leaving me in the clearing, where i'm now alone. I quickly decided to teleport to the girls who apparently walking towards a large set of doors.
"Hey girls…" I say as they look at me quickly.
"Twilight, what happened?" Celestia asked as I walked up to them.
"Well… I got to see my foalsitter, who's an alicorn now, and she’s apparently the daughter of Arcana… whose name isn't really Arcana, I also learned that he isn't a stallion… or even a pony for that matter, that there's nine beings that apparently make your magic look like child's play, and that 'Chaos is Home' when asked where he was…" I reply as I recap the last fifteen minutes, once I was done, the girls look at me in confusion, Celestia looked slightly pissed.
“Oh really? Arcana thinks he can just take on the power of the sun? I'd like to see him try.” she says almost evilly, but then again, somepony just said that raising and setting the sun wasn't special.
“I don't know what's going through that stallions mind, but he's got some nerve, saying that you aren't powerful Princess.” RD says, getting confirmations from the rest of the girls, she seems to brighten a bit, before returning serious.
“Thank you girls, but let’s get the Elements before we do anything else.” she says heading towards the door, we follow her ready to take the stand of ‘Equestria’s Protectors’ once again.
Let's just say that a lot of things happened after that point, we found out that Discord, the Lord of Chaos and Disharmony, had taken the elements and left us with a riddle, which we then went into a hedge maze, where we got ‘Discorded’ one by one, then we lost his game, which then made me find the elements back home in the book about the elements, the same book I used when we went up against Nightmare Moon. I then used a memory spell on my friends, fixing them… which lead us to this encounter with Discord.
“Your chaos ends here Discord!” I call out to him, he just stands up, takes a bow, and stares at us, as if waiting for us to place us back in stone, but his smirk was saying something else.
“We’ll seen girls… fire when ready,” he says poofing a pair of sunglasses into existence, before creating a target that we could hit.
“Let's do this girls.” I say slightly unnerved by his smirk.
The Elements started going off by projecting their shapes towards him, which he dodged, this lasted a good six minutes before we’re lifted into the air, pure light coming from all of us, Discord looked a little worried, until the rainbow that we fire off hits the top of it crest. Once it did, I felt something hit my element before it left my head, the rainbow immediately faltered and dissipated, leaving Discord perfectly fine.
“H-how?” Rainbow asked looking at him in fear, before i feel for my tiara, it wasn't there.
“Where's my element!? Discord!” I yell out in anger making the draconequus sit back in his chair... smiling a really goofy smile.
"I can't believe that worked! I didn't think he'd show up!" he says getting us to look at the throne in horror as the cloaked stallion come out from behind it.
"I did say i'd help when you needed it Dis, but that was your one shot, you don't get another... so if she finds the Element of Magic again, i won't be able to save you." he says tipping his head to us before leaving. "Seeya Dis, i'm going back to training, i found another student, and this one has a lot of potential in her." he says walking towards the Everfree Forest, Discord waves goodbye to the stallion, who i now knew was Cadence's father.
"Bye Ty! have fun training the squirt!" he calls back before the stallion puts a fist in the air before disappearing into the trees. "Well, if you six want to stop me, you need to find out where he placed the element, i don't know where it is, and he's busy right now training somepony, so if you lot need me, i'm going to be spreading as much chaos around here as possible... but i can tell you this, the element is in plain sight." he says turning back to us before disappearing in a burst of confetti, leaving us to wonder and worry about what's going to happen next...

This was strange… Discord hadn’t been defeated yet, but he did give me and my sister control over the sun and moon again, somehow… it's currently nine o’clock at night, and i'm doing my job, keeping ponies dreams nightmare free… when a new door appears, but this one is different, instead of somepony’s cutiemark or even a name plaque to signify me who this was, there was a leaf catching fire… and it looked like a mask. The door itself wasn't the same either, the frame, looked like an archway of vines, while the door itself was earthen brown, almost like a wall of dirt, when i came up to this door, the eyes in the mask glowed red, scaring me a bit before I heard a voice.
“Who dares enter the servant of Nature’s dreams?” it said in a deep and very powerful voice, I stared at it for a bit before clearing my throat.
“My name is princess Luna of Equestria… the princess of the moon and dreams… do I have permission to enter this pony’s dreams?” I ask the door, it turned blue before going dark, I didn't trust it, so i decided to stay where I was, as nopony was having any nightmares.
My patience was rewarded when the eyes lit up blue again, a calming voice came out, almost as if it wasn't the same pony as before.
“Permission granted princess Luna, heir to the throne of dreams.” it said before the door opened for me to enter, I was slightly confused as why it called me heir of the throne of dreams.
I decided to ask whoever was inside this dream-door, so I entered, closing the door behind me, almost immediately I noticed that I was in a very familiar place, the castle that me and my sister ruled in before i became Nightmare Moon, the only difference is that some of the guards were blurry while others weren't, it was strange almost as if this was a distant memory… that was, until I heard the music coming from the castle, a very old and familiar tune… and there's only one person that i know of that plays that tune, which i why I rushed towards it immediately, finding the male responsible for the tune i loved listening to.
“Brother!” I call out tackling him in joy, we hit the ground hard.
“Hey there Lulu… i'm glad to see you again.” he says hugging me tightly, we stay like this until I hear another voice.
“Um… did i come in at the wrong time…?” the voice asked, getting us to look towards it, showing a female, who looks slightly like me… the only difference is that she has wolf ears and tail, not to mention see definitely has canines, a lot like Timberwolves.
“Not at all sis, just saying hi to another member of the family, that's all.” he replied, getting me to look at him curiously. “Ah, that's right, you two don't know each other… well, Arty, this is princess Luna, the princess of dream, the moon, and co-ruler of Equestria, Lulu, this is Artimus the Dire Wolf, my friend, companion and sister.” he says introducing us with a small smile.
“Well, I guess it's time we got another family member… but it's still two males to now six females bro.” she says coming up to us.
“I don't have a problem with that.” he replies, getting me to sit up on his lap.
“So, your his sister too…” I say slowly, as if trying to process that information.
“Yep, i'm his first sibling, i'm his younger sister, Artimus Goldeneyes, it's nice to meet you Luna.” she says holding out a hand for me to shake.
“It's nice to meet you too… though I thought it was going to be his dream… not a shared dream.” I say shaking her hand before getting up, letting Forest get up too.
“Well… it's more of a family dream, we all arrive here when we go to sleep, even Cadence comes here when she wants to talk, speaking of which, we should go see the others.” he replied standing up before walking down one of the halls, towards the library.
We walk down the way before we hear laughter coming from behind one of the doors, smiling he goes over to it and places his hands on the handles.
“You ready to meet the full family?” he asks looking over at me, i just nod in confirmation. “Then welcome to our family room.” he says pushing the doors open and walking through as they continue to open.
I notice that this part of the castle never existed before, so it must be a dreamscape room, but what caught my attention was the people there, the first one was a female, who looked about two years younger than Forest, her hair was pitch black, almost like the void, her skin was a perfect tan, her eyes were acidic green, but held love and laughter in them, next to her was a male, much like Forest, but he was decked out in some weird shiny armor, slightly bulky, but still a good set of armor, he was without his helmet, letting me see his light brown hair tied into a ponytail, his skin was a deep auburn, with hazel eyes, filled with joy, next to them was Cadence, laughing at the two people in front of her. Speaking of which the first one looked like the female on the couch, though much younger, probably around the age of eleven, maybe twelve, she had the same void black hair and tanned skin, but instead of acidic green, I saw she had light blue eyes, almost like the sky, she was doing a silly dance with another girl, this one looked more like Forest than anyone, as she had his skin tone and same sparkling gold eyes, but as i made that contrast, I notice that her eyes have more shine to them than Forest does, as if his eyes were a lump of newly mined gold, while hers are polished gold, much like Celestia’s necklace an tiara, but her hair was a glorious silver, reminding me of my shining moon, only slightly duller. They were all laughing at the dance before Forest clapped his hands, they all gave him their attention, it was nothing like I've ever seen before.
“Everyone, i'd like to introduce you guys to our last family member, Luna. Luna, this is the rest of the family, you already know Cadence and Artimus, so these four need introduction, first up is the ferocious black dragon, my elder sister Fia…” he says pointing towards the older female, to which she waves while smiling.
“Sup, i'm Fia, the large dragon that you don't want to be mad at you, as i could literally melt you where you stand.” she says smirking before getting elbowed by the male next to her.
“Sorry about her, she's like that to everyone she meets, you find that she's more than just a scary face.” he reassured me, which did help slightly, I nodded in understanding.
“And speaking of, this is Alexander, but everyone calls him Alex for short, he’s Fia boyfriend… or coltfriend if you prefer Equestrian terms, and one of my oldest friends.” Forest says pointing to the male that just spoke, who waved once while smiling. “And finally, we have the troublemakers, and my daughters, Ova and Ruby Summereyes.” he continues picking up the two females and spinning around, they scream out in surprise and joy. This was a family that was so mismatched that it shouldn't make sense, but somehow did.
“Can i ask a question?” I ask, getting their attention, Forest and Artimus just smirk.
“You already did.” they both say, getting everyone to laugh, even i giggled a bit.
“Okay, okay, i walked into that one, but seriously, can i?” I say once the giggling stops.
“Sure, we’re all ears.” Fia says leaning back on the couch.
“How is a group so diverse like yours such a close nit family?” I ask getting them to look at me in confusion.
“I think that can be explained in a very nice song i know of.” Forest said walking over to one of the walls.

So no matter what it looks like, we look perfect to me, we got every kind of lover, we’re so lucky indeed, they can keep on talking, it don't matter to me cause, we are, we are family…

The song was upbeat and everyone got into the dancing mood, somehow, we synchronizing with each other on another level, even me, as i was dancing right next to Forest in perfect motion, it was definitely something, the fun of dancing with all of them, and that song reminded me that family can have a bunch of different quirks but still love each other no matter what.
“That was fun, i don't think we’ve danced like that in twelve years.” Alex said sitting down, he was smiling, Fia simply rolled her eyes.
“Yeah, but the three of us better get up, we need to visit the leader of where we are.” Fia said picking up both Ova and Ruby, Forest nods before they fade away, disappearing from sight.
“I'm going to wake up too, i'm still unsure where i am, but i think i found civilization not to far from here.” Alex said saluting us before disappearing too, leaving just me, Forest, Cadence, and Artimus.
“Well, i can finally said the whole family has been in the same place for once.” Artimus remarks, getting a jab in the ribs from Forest.
“Sadly no, you can't… there's two more, and they're not here, yet…” he says looking up towards a picture on the wall, peaking my curiosity.
I walk over to inspect it, i could easily pick out Forest with his red hair and golden eyes, he was squatting next to a large wolf on his right, and holding a bow, he was smiling happily, the sparkle in his eyes was the same i saw in Ruby’s eyes, on his left was a human female with light tanned skin and crimson hair, dressed in some light traveling clothes and a leather breastplate, she held a lyre in one hand while the other was resting on Forest’s shoulder, behind him was a larger being, with light green skin, and dark grey hair, but there was something human about it that let me know that he was trusted, he was in metal armor, with some symbol on his breastplate, he was also smiling, apparently to whoever took the picture, they seemed happy, right beneath the picture was a small plaque, it had some words: ‘Never forget the fallen, forever forge your own path’ - The Daylight Trio, it was odd, but i finally sensed Forest next to me, his eyes seemed glazed over as he stared into the picture.
“I don't know if I'll ever see them again… but i know they’re here, in Equestria… I just hope i find them.” he says before starting to vanish too, leaving the three of us.
“Do either of you know who these two are?” I ask as they come up to look at the picture.
“No… I've never seen them in his memories…” Cadence says to my surprise. “It happened when I was younger, sometimes i saw his memories as my dreams, but not once were they mentioned or seen in the dreams I had.” she explains glancing over at me with a small smirk, I just roll my eyes and look at Artimus… who looks confused.
“What's wrong Artimus?” I ask gaining Cadence’s look at the female wolf.
“That's me in the picture… but i don't remember those two.” she says making us look at her confused, she noticed this and sighed. “I'm the wolf in the picture, that's my real self after all… but i have no idea who those two are, I've never met them… or heard of them… and I've been with Forest since he was five years old.” she explains, gaining a worried look as she continued scanning the picture, as if trying to remember something.
“What if it's a fake picture?” Cadence asks, getting her attention.
“Then I'll ask him once i wake up, which should be now… good day Cadence, Luna.” she says before slowly fading away, leaving the two of us in the room.
“I’ll see you in the dinner hall… right?” I say glancing over to her.
“Yes, you'll see me there… aunty Luna.” she replies with a small smile, getting me to smile back.
“I'll see you there Cadence.” I say ending my spell and returning to the waking world, i start to walk towards the dinner hall, the song that we danced to stated played as I walked, making me hum the lyrics.

Let me just say, waking up in a barren cave near lava isn't how I like getting up in the morning, and I don't really keep my thoughts to myself when I don't like something.
"Ugh… why are we so close to this much lava again?" I asked loudly to my two escorts.
They were a red dragonborn named Garble and the smaller orange dragonborn who appeared to be his family, most likely a sister, name Smolder, which are terrible names, but then again, the only one here with a real dragon name is Ova, so I can't really complain about their names.
"Because ma'am, it's supposed to heal any cold you might have developed during your flight, you did come from over the sea after all." Smolder replied, and she wasn't wrong we did fly over the sea, but we didn't need to be nearly boiled to death to get rid of a simple sickness.
"I assure you Smolder, if any of us had gotten sick, i would've known and dealt with it myself, without the need of lava, besides, a place this hot isn't good for the girls, as they could get sick in such temperatures.” I say moving my head over to the small dark grey dragon shifting uncomfortably next to the half-elf who’s panting heavily.
“Then why did you accept the invitation to stay here from Dragon Lord Ember?” Garble asked annoyed, I could hear that heavily in his voice, I didn't like him in the slightest.
“Because I was tired and didn't want to refuse such hospitality… even if the accommodations are worse than i'm used to.” I say nudging the two awake, I immediately took a waterskin and some rations out of Ruby’s backpack and handed them over to the girls, they accepted it without hesitation.
“I can see that… but you never told us why you're here.” Smolder said, almost asking the question.
“Not much to say really, i'm just looking for a family member that's not far from here… i just need directions really, and i figured your leader would know where I wanted to go.” I explain as the girls finish up and hand the waterskin back to me, I place it in the backpack before handing it to Ruby, who slips it on quickly.
“I see, then we should start heading out.” she replied opening her wings and flying up, Garble was next out, followed by me with Ova and Ruby on my back.
We flew up into the air quickly, heading north east, most likely towards Ember, I remember her from last night, a light blue Dragonborn who wielded a wizard staff, apparently call the ‘Dragon Lord Staff’, which is a very idiotic name for a staff. She had been one of the five Dragonborns to meet me when i landed from flying, it was hard, flying for three days with only gliding to rest my wings while over the sea, I nearly collapsed upon arrival that I just had a conversation with her, she knew I was looking for someone and needed directions from where I was, plus that i was completely tired, which is a miracle that i'm up and flying now, but I won't ignore a gift from the gods.
"So, what's your names? You never told us when you got here." Smolder asked as she flew up next to me, i was mostly gliding on my way to Ember, wings suck sometimes.
“Ova, Ruby and Fia… go ahead and guess who's who.” I say glancing over to her, she looks at the waking bodies of my nieces then to me.
“Are you Ova?” she asks still looking at me, I chuckle at the question.
“No, i'm not the other dragoness is Ova, i'm Fia, the little girl is Ruby, she looks like her dad.” I reply to the small Dragonborn, she nods before flying ahead of me a bit, I just sigh, knowing i need to change back to my human form soon.
“Aunty? Where are we going?” I hear from just behind my head, i turn slightly to see Ruby looking at me worried.
“Just to someone who can give us directions to find daddy, don't worry Ruby, I'll protect you.” I say in confidence, my wings started to ache again.
It took us seven more minutes to get to Ember’s throne, which was carved out of mountain rocks, mostly red and orange ones, we land and the two Dragonborn’s bowed to her.
“Dragon Lord Ember, the dragoness is here to see you.” Garble said still bowing.
“Thank you Garble, you and your sister can leave us, she most likely wanting to talk in private.” she replies getting off her throne with a small smile.
“Of course Dragon Lord.” they say in unison before flying off, leaving her with me and the girls.
“So what do you wish to know?” she asks as soon as they're out of hearing range.
“I need to know where the closest pony settlement is.” I reply, getting her to look at me in surprise.
“And why would you need to know that?” she asks, getting me to growl in annoyance.
“Family reasons…” I explain while being completely vague.
“Very well… can't exactly get in the way of family.” she says before turning to look about just northeast of her throne. “There's a city called Manehattan in the direction, it's a straight shot… but I should warn you, they have a very big fear of dragons.” she says pointing off in the direction she was facing before turning back to me.
“Don't worry, I can handle that, it's not the first time I came across a town or city that had a fear of dragons.” I reply looking at the ocean in the distance, with my sight, I could see the small glint of metal against the sun very far away, it would take a day, maybe a day and a half, at most. “Thank you Ember, this brings me one step closer to my brother, and one step closer towards their father.” I reply looking at my nieces, they were watching the dragonborns breath fire at targets with awe.
“I'm glad I could help, just make sure to visit every now and again, It'd definitely make some interesting stories.” she says before i nudge them.
“I'll think about it, your subjects could use some real dragon knowledge after all.” I smirk as her eye twitches just barely.
“Well… if you need anything, know that the dragons are behind you.” she replies calming down from any anger she might've let loose.
“Thank you Ember, and I'll be sure to remember that… let's go girls, we have one last flight before staying on the ground for good.” I say grabbing both girls before setting them on my back, they get settled before waving to Ember.
“By nice Dragonborn lady!” Ova calls out before i start a running start for the cliff.
“I hope we see you again Ms.Ember!” Ruby calls out before I jump off the cliff and fall for a bit, letting the air pass over me.
I opened my wings slowly, as to not injure them, they catch the air and we soar up and away from the approaching ground, the girls screaming in joy the entire way down and as we lift up.
“Go ahead and get some rest girls, we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow and you need to be well rested.” I say turning my head to look at them, they nod before cuddling up after securing themselves to my back.
With them asleep and my direction set, i continue to fly, awaiting for the day so that i could crush my brothers spine in the strongest hug I could muster... after i scolded him for teleporting on us so suddenly with only his stuff, leaving us in that damned city.

Yes!FINALLY see a chapter that has Noah or Sapphire in it, and i'll have you guys know that it's coming up, but I've got to get the other characters in first, then you'll have your Noah and Sapphire chapters. now im sorry if this is a little short, there will be a longer chapter with Fia, but until then... Snow and ice as white as the light that reflects off of it, that’s all I can see as I hike my way through these mountains. I've been here for the last three weeks, in this blizzard, trying to find civilization, and I found something better, hoof tracks, horse hooves, it seemed to be either two horses or four antros, which is what Forest called Cadence and Luna. Anyways, with my new path set, I simply followed the footprints… or are they hoof-prints now because they’re ponies, I don't know, but it'd be nice to know which it is, my family armor doing somewhat of a good job at keeping the cold out, but it's still there, living in caves can numb you, especially if it's a blizzard every day outside, I actually ran out of my bundle of flame-wood yesterday, meaning if I don't make it to any civilization by the end of today, i'm good as dead.
“--okay sir?” I hear being asked, snapping me out of my thoughts about dying in the tundra that surrounds me, looking forwards, i see a mare standing in front of me.
“What did you ask?” I reply, i didn't really hear her at first.
“I asked if you were okay, you look like you're about to collapse.” she says getting me to chuckle.
“I feel ready to collapse ma'am, but i can't, not until I find a warm place to rest… would you happen to know where I can find some sort of civilization?” I answer her swaying a bit before steadying myself.
“I do, come, i'll take you to the village.” she says taking my hand and leading me slightly off the path, I let her drag me.
About a half hour later, we arrive to a cluster of thirty homes I can see about twelve unicorns, ten pegasi and the rest were earth ponies, i notice that the mare dragging me was an earth pony too.
“Welcome to the village sir, it isn't much, but it's home.” she says passing through a slightly visible barrier, I pass through without incident.
“It feels warmer here, why is that?” I ask as I start noticing that there’s very little snow or ice anywhere near the homes, unless it's outside the barrier.
“That would be the fire barrier, it keeps most of the cold out, like the snow and ice, though the wind does get through every now and again.” she explains, before pausing and turning around. “I'm so sorry, i never introduced myself, i'm Midnight, Midnight Daydream, i do patrols outside the barrier every couple days.” she holds out her hand for me to shake, I actually get a good look at her now.
Midnight was a unicorn, if the horn on her head was any indication, she had a deep blue coat with a yellow mane and tail, both had a black streak going through them, she also had bright green eyes that popped out against her dark coat. She was definitely fit, and I mean that in a good way, she was definitely the physical type.
“Alexander… but most people just call me Alex for short.” I say grabbing her hand to shake, she smiles.
“Well it's nice to officially meet you Alex, i hope that you can find sanctuary in our little town.” she replies shaking my hand before turning to leave. “You might want to see the mare in charge, all new visitors do, she’ll be in the center of town, trust me you can't miss her.” she called out before disappearing into the crowd, leaving me to get my head together.
“Okay… so i'm in a new town, which I don't know the name of, i know one resident, and from what she told me, she's like the guards I've seen around towns, then there's this ‘head mare’ that she told me to go see, who’s in the center of town, and i apparently I can't miss her…” I start to think as I walk to where I believe the center of town is. “Ok, i have a quest… kinda, it's more of a menial task than a quest, plus I don't have much gold, i think I've only got seventeen pieces, but that doesn't count into the gems I still have on me… i could probably sell those, but Fia would kill me if I sold all of them.” I think about my new predicament and walk at the same time, I finally make it to the center of town, and I notice who i suppose the ‘head mare’ is immediately, as she's the only one wearing something formal in the square. “Well Midnight wasn't wrong, I literally can't miss her.” I think as i walk up to her quickly.
“Greetings, you seem to be new to our little village.” she says shaking my hand right as i get to her.
“That i am, am i to be correct that your the head mare?” I ask as we finish our shake, she nods.
“Yes, i'm Nova Wingburst, it's nice to meet you…” she says before raising an eyebrow at me, asking for my name.
“Alex.” I reply quickly while smiling a bit.
“Well it's nice to meet you, Alex, and welcome, correct me if i'm wrong, but I suspect that you'd need a place to stay and a job here in the village… so i'll see who has a room available and then you can choose your job.” she says listing off the things needed.
“Yes, but I think that a guard or blacksmith position will be the best jobs for me, and I see the signs of a forge, but I suspect that they aren't looking for any help, so i can be a guard for the village in return for a home, some food and extra clothes.” I reply thinking over everything, noticing the smoke from a filtered chimney, mostly used with forges.
“Quite the observation Alex, and yes, the blacksmith, Black Steel, isn't looking for any helpers, there is an opening in the guards that I've been meaning to fill up for a while.” she replies before turning around. “Well, if you'd follow me Alex, I'll fill out my half of the paperwork for you to become a guard.” she says walking towards one of the buildings, most likely the town hall.
Doing all that paperwork was exhausting for my mind and body, so i decided to go towards one of the houses, the one where I'll be staying, I have two roommates and their house was the only one that had an extra bed for someone to use. I found the house easily enough, it was the fifth one down on the left side of the street, right side of the village, I knocked quickly three times before stepping back, just in case, when the door opened, I was met with a familiar face.
“Alex! It's good to see you, what brings you to my humble abode?” Midnight asked as she leaned against the door frame in front of me.
“Midnight? Well i guess that makes sense, anyways, i was told by Nova that this was where i'd be crashing.” I replied, thinking about the chances.
“Really? Then get your armored flank in here and warm up some more, we don't want you to freeze outside now do we?” she said moving out of the way so I could enter the house.
It had quite the warm and cozy atmosphere, with a small couch, most likely able to hold two people and a small but comfy looking chair just to the right of that, there was a low set table near both of them, there was a small fireplace on the opposite wall of the couch, I saw an archway which likely led into the kitchen, there was also a set of stairs near where I was standing, going up to the second floor. I heard a small amount of noise coming from up there, so I could only guess that it was my other roommate.
“It's cozy.” I simply said looking back at Midnight as she closed the door.
“Yeah, it's nice and cozy, anyways, your room will be on this floor, as both the upstairs bedrooms are taken.” she replied escorting me next to the stairs and into a small hallway with another archway into the kitchen. “Anyways, this is your room, sorry that it isn't decorated or anything, the two of us haven't really had a third roommate before.” she said opening the door on the left to a plain room, there was a bed, a nightstand, a closet and a small desk.
“This is fine Midnight, perfect in fact, doesn't have any unnecessary items.” I say before walking in and taking my helmet off, my hair now dropping to my shoulders in its usual ponytail.
“Oh, okay, well, i'll just leave you to get acquainted with the place, lunch is in half an hour.” she replies before shutting the door after I nod in reply.
“Not that bad actually, plus, now i can undo my armor, I no doubt stink with no bath for three weeks.” I think as I begin to unclasp my armor, starting with my arms, then my torso and finishing with my legs and feet. “This is going to be one heck of a ride, even if i'm not doing any dangerous quests that lead to the potential end of the world.” I think before locking the door and heading to bed, my mind and body too exhausted to continue until I've had a very good rest, so for the first time in three weeks of waking up, i slept peacefully in a very soft and warm bed, which is way better than a cold and stone floor cave any day, something I'd never thought I'd miss.

Next chapter and a new character enters the scene, will Alex be able to survive the Frozen Tundra, or will he be driven to insanity because of his new roommates, only time will tell... or his next chapter. The Pony of Gods & the Ending of Chaos Part 1

“Why hello dear readers! It's yours truly, the spirit of Chaos and Disharmony, DISCORD!!” called the voice of a very familiar draconequus before a flash of light takes the entire screen revealing the draconequus.
The area around him was a mix of pinks, purples, light blues and oranges, all swirling with dots of red, yellow and white blinking in and out of existence like stars, the sound of technology an a pencil scribbling on paper nearly stopped, only a low hum breaking the silence.
“Discord! What the hell are you doing!? This is my pocket dimension, not yours!” a very angry yet echoing voice called out at the being of chaos, breaking the silence that held the area moments before.
“Well don't blame me Nighty, this is what I do in every fanfic i'm in, it's kind of becoming a theme.” he replied looking into the blackness to his right, a defeated groan comes from that direction.
“Discord… why did you come into MY realm? Because i know for a fact that nothing comes here without wanting something or me summoning it, and i also know that i didn't summon you.” the voice said in a very good impression of a male Maud.
“Well… I was wondering when the violence tag you put on this story was going to come into play, because so far you haven't put any violence in any of the chapters, either outright not putting them in or skipping them with something from a children’s books.” he said as the camera panned to reveal a quadruped unicorn stallion.
The stallion had natural red claw markings on the side of his chin, contrasting against his snow white coat, his mane was a deep ocean blue with a bright yellow streak going down the visible side of his mane, his tail had the same yellow streak, only this one was flanked by a void black color, making both colors stand out in different ways, his eye was a forest green with slits, a small fang being barely visible to the naked eye against his coat, his cutie mark being a black quill crossing over a full blue moon on his flank.
“I'm working on it Discord, i'm planning a major fight scene with Forest, as well as the main six and Celestia, which will also include Cadence, and Artimus, but before that i have to make sure that i'm giving Scootaloo her powers correctly.” he answered going over to multiple blue screens with many different timelines. “One screw up on that side of the story writing and I risk the entire D&D fandom coming down on my head, besides, I still need to work on the rest of my characters, such as Fia and Alex, as they didn't get very long chapters to begin with, not to mention i also have to find a way to keep certain events from the canon-verse in my story without the MLP Fandom coming down on my head either.” he explained, as he looked from screen to screen, swiping some things away and into a digital trash can on either side of him. “Not to mention the world building, or how i'm going to incorporate Forest into the main six’s life, and who’s going to send their token his way so the Displaced crossovers can begin.” he finished as he collected pieces of data that formed into a small tablet.
“Well i guess that's a good excuse… but what about two very important people~?” he asks the unicorn as he made small dolls appear in front of him, one was a small human-ish male orc with metal armor while the other one was a female elf that had very tight fitting clothes and an instrument.
“I didn't forget about Noah and Sapphire, they will both be in this story and they'll each have their own sub-story, for their own journeys before they all come together.” the unicorn replied before noticing the camera, he smirked and placed a hoof near his muzzle while giggling. “I know you all heard that, so shh, no spoilers, i don't want everything being revealed just yet, but while i'm on the subject, I'll be doing a Q&A for our lovely characters, right here in the Lunar Plane, so if you'd all be so kind as to place a couple of questions down in the comments, that'll be most appreciated, now i'm only allowing questions for Forest, obviously, Artimus, the royal sisters, and the main six, everyone/pony else are going to have a different Q&A for them, as I don't think this place will be able to hold all of them.” he explains turning towards the camera while smirking, his mane slightly hiding a crimson eye instead of a forest green like his visible eye.“Anyways, so only the ten, now I'll also be taking questions, so please dear readers, ask away, just keep it as PG as possible, don't want to embarrass the lovely ladies now do we?” he asks snickering at the amusement of how embarrassing the questions could get. “Now if you'll excuse me my lovely little terrors, the master must go back to work, but please, enjoy what i have planned for our little druid and everyone else.” he says before igniting his horn, showing a pure black color of magic before the camera shuts down, leaving a black screen with the stallion's cutiemark on it.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<<<2011 Harmonic Era, Everfree Forest, Forest POV>>>
Training Scootaloo was hard for both of us, because I didn't have my magic book and she was getting impatient, it was hard not to just appear in the middle of Canterlot and yell for Cadence, but I didn't need to, i knew that once Discord was trapped in stone again that i'd be next on the list, but I needed to get them to come into my home, my domain.
“Scootaloo, can you do something for me?” I ask in my meditation, I was able to teach her the first Druid cantrips before the end of the day.
“What is it sensei?” she asks turning towards me, she was relaxing against Artimus’ side, who didn't move, meaning she didn't mind.
“Well, i need Discord trapped in stone, but since I was required to help him because I owed him for freeing me, i can't openly help the main six, but now I need my stuff, sadly I won't be able to get it until he's petrified again, so I need you to bring Twilight, and only Twilight here to the Everfree, just to the entrance, I'll take care of the rest.” I explained as I stood up, she also stood up and bowed to me.
“Consider her delivered sensei.” she says before rushing to Ponyville, and towards Twilight Sparkle herself, I had to get to the entrance to greet her.
“Brother, what are you doing?” Artimus asks as she gets up and starts to follow me.
“Setting the timeline in motion, after all, Discord getting trapped in stone needs to happen, otherwise something will go wrong, and I'd rather not be responsible for the implosion of an entire world.” I explained as we walk side by side through the forest, the animals leaving us alone.
“Ah, I see, another F.P.E.?” she asks, getting me to nod, she stayed quiet as we neared the entrance of the forest.
We waited for a good twenty minutes before a flash of purple came to my attention, looking at the entrance, I saw Twilight and Scootaloo standing side by side, Scootaloo being disoriented, most likely from the teleport.
“This is where you said somepony wanted to meet me alone Scootaloo?” Twilight asked looking at the young pegasus, who finally got her bearings.
“Yeah, right here at the entrance, he said he wouldn't go anywhere else.” she replied coming into the forest, Twilight right behind her, I spoke up once they passed me.
“Good to see you're still yourself Twilight, though i could've guessed that from the rainbow laser.” I said getting Twilight to spin around fast and fire off a spell, which just missed me, but i didn't flinch.
“You!” she called out throwing a fist at me, making me catch her fist.
“If you want your element back i suggest you listen, because I will only say this once.” I reply tightening my grip on her hand, she stopped for a moment before glaring at me.
“How can i trust you?” she asks as I let her hand go, she started massaging it.
“To quote a very helpful yet tricky being: ‘I have learned to see and hear everything loud and clear, so the truth comes down in riddles are are safe enough to share’.” I say in a small singing voice as I quote the Cheshire cat, well, more like a song about the Cheshire cat.
“That makes no sense.” she replied, giving me a deadpan stare.
“It means, that i can't tell you exactly where the element of magic is, but I can give you a riddle that can send you on your way.” I say while leaning against the tree I was standing in front of.
“Okay… so what's the riddle? I need my element now.” she says firmly, determination blazing in her eyes.
“The end of Chaos is the beginning of Harmony, your life forever in glass for your courtesy. The light within the dark and the first place you found, the path for you is already unwound. “The windows in Canterlot!” she says looking at me in hopes she's right.
“What are you waiting for Twilight, the girls need you, and you need some bits.” I say sweeping my arm towards Ponyville, she smiles and runs over. “Hey Twilight!” I call out, getting her to look back at me. “If you see Cadence again, can you ask her to give me back my bag? I kinda need it.” I ask in hopes that she'll agree.
“I'll think about it.” she calls back before running away, I'll take that.
“Scoots, go ahead and rest, come back for the rest of your training tomorrow.” I say to the pegasus behind me, she walks past me, i see her nod as she does so and takes off towards Ponyville once again.
“Only time will tell now… I hope Twilight pulls this off, otherwise I'd have to directly intervene to help the girls, but then again, Celestia won't allow me to stay as flesh and blood for long…” I think as i mount Artimus and we leap into the forest thicket, never to be seen by others.

The Ending of Chaos Part 2

Oh how i hated Arcana, but at least he's helping, even if he is the one that took my Element of Harmony, Scootaloo didn't seem that scared of him, in fact she was relaxing on what looked like some sort of Timberwolf, hugging it, which just had the Timberwolf lay down and relax too. I was on my way back to the library where the girls were while going over the riddle in my head.
“Okay, so I know we have to go to Canterlot, then we need to find light within darkness, which is somehow connected to the painted glass, then we need to go to the first place we found, and i guess we already walked the path to get there… though I don't know where it is, then once we do, we’ll find my element, which we can then use to trap Discord in stone.” I think as I open the door, the girls look at me strangely.
“Sugarcube, what's going on? Scootaloo just came in and said somepony important wanted to talk to you near the Everfree then the both of ya just up a vanished on us right quick.” AJ asked, making me forget that I had basically just teleported right after Scootaloo said somepony important.
“Don't worry about it Applejack, but I've got good news girls, somepony told me where the Element of Magic is.” I said getting them to perk up quickly.
“Well where is it darling?” Rarity asks looking for it on me.
“I don't know the exact location yet, as it was given to me in a riddle, and no, Discord didn't talk to me, he's still spreading chaos.” I say before levitating a bag of bits towards me. “Let's just say that the answer is on Canterlot.” I say before walking towards the train station, the girls immediately following.
The trip was quicker than last time, and I went into the castle immediately, knowing the path from when we ran out of the hall, I found Celestia and Luna both talking with worried looks as i came in, they noticed me immediately and smiled.
“Twilight, i was wondering when you were going to defeat Discord, I was just expressing my worries to my sister here when you came in.” Celestia said up to me.
“It's good to see you again too Princess, but sadly we’re on a time limit, and this visit isn't about defeating Discord.” I say hugging her before nodding to the girls, who start to look at the windows quickly, confusing both of them greatly.
“I don't understand, what happened Twilight?” Celestia asks as Luna comes up to me.
“Well… it's a long story, and the simple explanation is kinda long, but since we don't know what we’re looking for, i might as well explain what's happened in the past twenty four hours since you last saw us.” I said as the girls kept up the search.
And explain to them i did, i explained how I was wrong about the labyrinth, how Discord got all of us to turn into our opposites, how we lost his ‘game’, how I was able to return all of us back to normal, how we confronted Discord, how my element was stolen by Arcana, who had saved Discord by doing so, how Discord is still spreading chaos in Ponyville, but slowly expanding outwards, and how Arcana gave me a riddle when he spoke to me, which made Celestia worry.
“Did he do anything to you?” she asks as the girls stop searching to watch us.
“Don't worry princess, he didn't do anything, just speak to me… though he has one strong grip for something that's not an Earth pony.” I say flexing my hand a bit, remembering how easily he caught my hand and grabbed it with the strength of an adult Earth pony stallion.
“Why do you say that Twilight?” Luna asks as she seemed to notice that I was still flexing my hand a bit.
“I may have tried to punch him…” I answered as I relaxed my hand.
“Tried?” AJ asks as she and the rest of the girls came up to us.
“Yes Applejack, tried, he caught my hand before it even reach halfway to his face… he then tightened his grip on my hand, telling me that if I wanted my element, I had to listen, he then gave me the riddle that brought us here.” I explain, getting their attention.
“What was the riddle darling?” Rarity asks, getting me to recall the riddle i was told not half an hour ago.
“The end of Chaos is the beginning of Harmony, your life forever in glass for your courtesy. The light within the dark and the first place you found, the path for you is already unwound. Tread the ground like the night before, and harmony will be forever yours.” I recall easily enough, he had a way with words, I'll give that to Arcana.
They seemed to be taken aback by that, before each one took different looks of deep thought, think about the riddle, I thought about where this riddle was going until I noticed a pattern on the floor, making me look up to my left to see our achievement against Nightmare Moon, who was really Princess… Luna… who was a light within a darkness! Meaning the the element was in the Castle of the Two Sisters! I immediately sprinted out of the room and for the train station, the girls calling for me by the time i was already leaving the castle walls.
“I can't believe it! He brought me to the entrance of where my element is and i didn't even realize it!” I thought as I jumped onto the train just as it was about to depart, which was going through Ponyville before heading towards Manehattan if the map I saw was anything to go by.
It took a little while, but I jumped off the train just as it was passing by Ponyville, i saw the town in a worse scene of Discord’s chaos nature than when we left, but that didn't stop me from traversing towards the Everfree and into the trees. It took a while, but I managed to find the castle and immediately ran for the entrance, only to be blocked by a hooded figure, who I assumed was Arcana.
“Out of my way Arcana, I don't have time to play your game and Discord’s game too.” I said walking to get around him, only for him to punch me, sending me a few feet back. “What the hay!” I say getting up to face him.
“First trial of Magic Ms.Sparkle, Attribute magic, your goal, knock me on my flank without using your magic on me, you get three questions.” the figure said, making me do a double take, as this pony was female.
“Okay… so no magic against you, but can i do magic on myself?” I ask readying a teleport spell to get past her and into the castle.
“Yes, but no teleporting spells unless your life is in danger, two questions.” the figure said, getting me to frown.
“If I don't follow these rules?” I ask, getting her to slump forward.
“Then you will never recover your Element of Magic, final question.” she replied getting me to ready my magic, when a question popped into my head.
“How many tests do i have to go through?” I ask getting ready to fight her, i could see a knowing smile just under the shadows of her hood.
“Four, no more questions left, we begin the test now.” she says before her hands light up in a spell matrix that I wasn't familiar with. “Cat’s Grace.” she says placing her hands on her chest before running at me, I jumped to the side before she could touch me.
“Okay, so i can only increase my natural abilities with my magic, so let's do a speed boost, only a minor one, don't want to go off the edge.” I think before using my magic to increase my speed.
“Good, you know what spells to use, but let's see if you can keep up.” she says before running at me again.
This time I met her charge and swung at her, only for her to twist in a way only a cat could, to dodge it and strike my side, injuring me, but not by much.
“You must give us everything you've got if you wish to pass, now try again.” she says lighting her hands up again. “Bull’s Strength.” she says before the spell faded into her again.
“Everything huh? Very well then, let's do this.” I say enhancing my body with my magic as much as I could before rushing her.
She threw out a punch before i could get close and I tanked it, even if it sent me back a few feet, when I looked up, I could see her standing there in a fighters stance, ready to continue our fight. So was I, so we charged each other, throwing kicks and punches so quickly that from another perspective it would seem that our arms and hooves were blurring in streaks of motion while out bodies were completely visible. We continued like this, each of us hitting each other at random intervals, each one hurting more and more, until i cross kicked her into the door, where she slumped slightly before catching herself against the door.
“Well I'll be, you certainly have a good idea about Attribute magic, and I can no longer stand without the world spinning, so you have completed the task, congratulations Ms.Sparkle, you've passed the first trial of Magic.” she says sitting down against the door.
“Thank you miss…” I say before remembering that i didn't get her name.
“Artimus, it's good to officially meet you Twilight.” she replies before taking out a purple crystal, it floated over to meet, when i looked at her confused, she smiled. “That's proof that you defeated me, there's four pieces, each trial will push you to your limits, maybe even pushing past them, but you better go inside, the next trial awaits.” she explains before standing up and pushing the doors open for me, I nod and enter.
The once ruined castle interior was now in pristine condition, as if it wasn't a thousand years old castle, on the other side of the room stood another figure, who nodded to me before walking to where the hole in the roof shone light from the now… setting sun!? Time must have passed faster than i thought.
“Welcome to the second trial, do you have your proof?” the figure asked, confirming that it was male this time.
I simply showed the V-shaped crystal to him, he nodded before the entire area was engulfed in darkness, except for the circle of light that came from the ceiling.
“Three questions before the second trial of Magic begins, ask now.” I heard from all around me, making me go into the light.
“Okay… what's the trial?” I ask, I know that it was a pointless question, but it helped me prepare.
“Your first trial was Attribute, now it's Instinct, you must fight me without sight, if you manage to hit me ten times, then you pass, no magic will be used during this trial.” he replied, letting me know the basics of what I have to do. “Two questions left.” he said, breaking my thoughts about how to defeat him.
“What are the crystals for?” I ask, feeling the first piece in my pocket.
“Defeat all of us and you will find out, final question.” he replied, making me huff in annoyance, i was hoping that I would get something definite, instead.
“Who planned all of this?” I asked, curious about what the answer was going to be.
“The one you know as Arcana has set this up, to test you, he will be doing this for the rest of the Element bearers at a later date.” the figure responded, making me bristle in rage, Arcana wanted to toy with me. “No more questions, we begin the second trial.” he said before the light around me vanished, leaving me in a dark room, with very little light to see.
This was one of the hardest tests of endurance that I've ever experienced, this pony was running around so quickly that I couldn't hear where he was coming from, only where he was. Meanwhile, he had no difficulty finding and hitting me hard in the dark area, my eyes were slowly adjusting, but not fast enough for me to find him, until i saw something flying at my head out of the corner of my eye, I ducked before it could hit me.
“Good job, you finally dodged a punch, now let's see if you can continue this and get ten hits on me.” he remarked before i stood up and stayed in place.
I had been running all over the place to avoid him, but i always got hit before I could do anything.
“You know, this is definitely one of the hardest things I've had to endure.” I said into the darkness, only to feel something coming from behind, to which I kicked back and felt contact.
“One down, nine to go, and if this is the worst you've endured, then you truly are pathetic, as not only are the remaining trials harder than this one, but there are creatures that not even your princesses could defeat, we have faced demons that would make any villain you go up against look like a cute little puppy, even Discord, and he’s Chaos incarnate.” he replied, vanishing from my limited sight.
It continued like this for what felt like days before I managed to hit him a tenth time, making the darkness retreat, revealing that it was now midnight, the girls and the princesses were most likely worried for me.
“Congratulations young unicorn, you have passed the second trial of Magic, and therefore, the second crystal is yours.” he says as an identical version of the first crystal floated over to me, I placed it into my other pocket.
“Thank you sir… but i have to rest before going through the other two trials.” say as i sit at the base of the statue that first held the Elements of Harmony.
“Of course Ms.Sparkle, rest, nothing will trouble you here.” the male said before i dozed off into a dreamless sleep.

<<<2011 Harmonic Era, 10 hours earlier, Celestia POV>>>
“Twilight wait!” the remaining Element bearers shouted as my student ran out of the hall quickly, and rather suddenly.
“What was that about?! She just got wide eyed and sprinted straight out!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed as the doors slammed in front of her.
“I don't know darling but it seemed quite sudden, even for her.” Rarity said, looking back at me in questioning silence.
“I don't know why, this is the first time out of something other than excitement that Twilight has moved so fast, but she must have figured out something, otherwise she would still be pondering.” I explain, looking at the doors that my student just ran through.
“But what did she see that made her run out like that?” Fluttershy asks getting us to think about that question, until I noticed a certain color was on the floor, contrasting against the white marble.
When I looked up, I saw the most recent window, the defeat of Nightmare Moon, the rescue of my younger sister Luna, and the newest Element bearers. That's when it clicked the Luna and Nightmare Moon were both darkness and light, and when she was Nightmare Moon, Luna was the light within the darkness, just like in the riddle, that got me to chuckle, gaining the attention of others.
“I believe I found the answer to that question.” I said pointing up to the window, their eyes went wide when they saw the window.
“Of course! Luna is the light within Nightmare Moon, and because of that, we’ve already walked the path that leads to the old castle, which is also part of the riddle! Meaning that she went to the Everfree Forest!” Pinkie exclaimed bouncing up and down in excitement, which made me look at her in confusion.
“How can this mare be so hyper for an Earth pony?” I thought watching her continue to bounce up and down.
“Because I can princess! Plus how many sweets I eat!” I heard in my head in her voice, getting me to yelp in surprise.
“Pinkie darling, can you not scare the princess with your strange abilities.” Rarity comments to her pink friend, who stopped bouncing for a second before she smiles apologetically.
“Sorry princess Celestia… I can't control it sometimes, it just happens.” she apologizes, making me have a small smile on my face.
“It's okay Pinkie Pie, it just startled me for a moment is all.” I reply with my motherly tone, getting her to smile widely before continuing her jumping.
“Okay princess, and i'll try not to do it again, though some ponies like it when I do things like that.” she said while bouncing, she was always going to confuse me.
“So as to what Ms.Pie said, young Sparkle has most likely gone back to our old castle to find her element.” Luna said, getting the girls to smile.
“Then that's where we need to go too!” Rainbow Dash said, the others agreed immediately, even me.
“Then I'll teleport all of us to the entrance, we may find her just entering if we do.” I say as they gather around, ready to teleport.
“Ready princess.” Applejack says before i activate my magic and teleport all of us to the edge of Ponyville, right by the entrance to the Everfree Forest.
“Well, what are we waitin’ for everypony? Let's get goin’!” Applejack said before marching straight towards the forest only to be blocked by Discord.
“Well hello little Applejack, and of course hello to the rest of you.” he says while popping into existence.
“Discord… move out of our way!” Luna calls out, almost reaching the RC voice, which wouldn't be good.
“Sorry Lulu, but i have a little part of what's going on right now, and sadly I can't allow all of you to enter the forest, therefore, only six of you may enter, while the two that stay behind have to play a game with me.” he says, grinning evilly at all of us, i looked immediately looked to Luna, seeing she was looking at me, she nodded.
“We will play your game Discord.” I say stepping up with Luna, he got a very excited expression before floating up to us.
“Well i always wanted to play a little game with you KK, and with Lulu too, oh this is going to be fun!” he says teleporting the three of us to a random location. “Welcome to the arena of Chaos, where our little game will be played, your objective, each of you have to hit me with three beams of magic, my goal, don't get hit.” he explained, we readied our magic.
“Sounds easy enough.” Luna says, but just before we can start, Discord disappears in a blinding flash, making us close our eyes, when our vision returned, we saw that there were at least twenty Discords that were our size or slightly smaller surrounding us.
“That's the twist princesses, you have to find the real me.” all of the Discords say all at the same time.
“Oh… well that complicates things.” Luna replied, making me roll my eyes in annoyance.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“So… where do you think Twilight is?” Fluttershy asked everypony as we entered the forest, it was now getting late, and we were halfway to the castle.
“I don't know darling, but i do hope she's safe.” Rarity says, I could hear the worry in her voice.
“Now don't worry y’all, Twilight is stronger than she looks, not tah mention she got magic, she'll have an easier time traversin' the forest that we will.” I say as we slowly get closer to the castle, the change in the surroundings getting easier to tell that we were going in the right direction.
It started to get dark when we made it to the bridge, we saw a cloaked figure sitting on one of the large rocks near the doors, which were closed at the moment, the entire castle looked like it was repaired recently, the figure was whistling a slightly upbeat tune while working on something.
“Hey, who’re you!?” RD calls out as she flies up to the figure, who stopped whistling as she landed, we quickly walked up to both of them.
“Ah, you lot must be the Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy that i was told about.” the figure said with a female voice as she stood up.
“That's right darling, but how do you know us?” Rares confirmed for the female, i could see a small smile on her face.
“Good, then i guess you girls are all here to see Ms.Sparkle?” she asked getting our attention, she had seen Twi.
“Yeah, we are, so are ya goin’ to let us through?” I asked stepping up to her, she just giggled.
“Sorry, but Ms.Sparkle can't be disturbed, or even gain help from others while in there.” the figure said nodding to the door.
“And why’s that?” I asked getting up in her face, I was ready to throw a swing at her.
“Because she's currently going through the second trial, which means that nothing comes in or out, unless she's defeated, then she'll be tossed out of the doors, where she'll have to face me and the first trial again.” she replied before sitting back down on the rock, looking at the door, as if expecting something.
“Well what if we went through this trial too, could we help her then?” Fluttershy spoke up, getting all of us to look at the cloaked figure for an answer.
“Nope, this is the Trial of Magic, only the bearer of the Element of Magic can compete in the trials, but don't worry, you'll all have your own trials, but none of you have been given the riddle to find it.” she says leaning back, relaxing on the rock, this got me angry, and apparently so was Dash, because she launched herself at the figure, pulling a fist out to punch her.
What happened next was something i don't think i'll ever unsee, the figure was about to get punched by Rainbow, when all of a sudden she flipped off the rock and jumped over Dash, hitting her right between the wings, which made then lock up and made Dash fall face first into the ground in a yelp of pain.
“Rainbow Dash!” Flutters called out before rushing over to her.
“Don't worry about your friend, she's fine, I just locked her wings for the time being.” the figure said before sitting at the base of the door, we looked over to Fluttershy, she was looking over RD’s body quickly but expertly.
“She's right, the only thing that's happened is locked wings, by the location of the PoI, the wings will unlock themselves in a few hours.” she said almost mechanically.
“Well would you look at that, the shy one has military experience.” the figure chuckled out, getting our attention.
“Learned it from my mother, she was apart of the E.P.D. before meeting my dad, she had to deal with the injured all the time, taught me everything I know, it's how I can take care of animals so easily.” Shy replies as she sits Dash up against the rock that the figure was just on.
“Cool, I was trained by guards myself, mostly to help my brother, it's how I knew where to hit without seriously injuring her.” she says before leaning her head back. “Speaking of injures, i should probably heal up, Sparkle can definitely put up one heck of a fight when she's determined on something.” she said before lighting up her hands in magic.
“What happened for you to need healing?” Pinkie asked looking at her curiously.
“Twilight Sparkle kicked my flank after a three hour long, hard fight, what else.” she replied making intricate green circles in her hands before placing them upon themselves.
“Ha, served you right!” Dash called out from her place against the rock.
“If you think she got out of it unscathed, then you're wrong Dashie, she has about the same amount of damage done to her, if not more since i got five good punches on her before the true fight began, and there is no doubt in my mind that she's currently getting her flank kicked right behind those doors.” she said just before the doors buckled suddenly, getting all of us to jump in surprise, she just cracked the door open.
“I wonder who's on the other side of the door…” I thought before she spoke up to whoever was on the other side.
“You good there?” she asked whoever was on the other side of the crack, I could barely hear a groan in response before she spoke again. “Getting your flank kicked?” she asked, getting another groan, longer and louder this time. “Figured as much, well, don't just lie there purple smarts, get back in there and try to kick his flank.” she said before closing the door and resting against it.
“That was Twilight, wasn't it.” I said as she relaxed across the two doors.
“Yep, she's getting her flank kicked hard, if the groans of pain and misery were anything to go by, so it'll either be her being tossed out of the roof, and therefore set back to the first trial, or she… actually beats the guy in there, moving onto the third trial, i'm fifty-fifty on deciding at this point.” she replies with a yawn halfway through her explanation.
“Wait, why fifty-fifty on deciding?” Flutters asked looking up from Dash.
“Because i'm the strongest in terms of physical strength out of everypony here to test her, while her current opponent best strength lies in stealth, meaning he can hit her multiple times while in the lowest amount of shadows possible, and while he's nowhere as strong as me, he can do major damage over time, so unless she adapts and hits him, she might as well quit.” she explains, turning her head to look at the doors. “You lot might as well rest up, cause once she's done, you'll go in with me.” she says relaxing even more.
It took until six in the morning the next day for something to happen, that thing was two purple lights shooting out of the castle.
“Well would you look at that, she actually did it.” the mare said before looking through the doors. “We good here?” I hear her ask somepony.
I could hear another voice, though very muffled before she popped her head back out to look at us.
“We good, come on in girls.” she said opening the door slightly wider before going in.
We entered the castle and were surprised by how well built it looked now, there was another cloaked figure sitting on princess Celestia’s old throne, waiting for us, the mare hops up to them before sitting in their lap, leaning into them.
“Hey Nova~” she says nuzzling his cheek for a moment.
“Hey Arty, now, I believe introductions are in order for these five lovely mares.” the male said as he glanced at the mare before i felt his eyes bore into my soul.
“Of course dear, now, the white unicorn is Rarity, the Element of Generosity, next to her is Pinkie Pie, the Element of Laughter, then there’s the two pegasi, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, the Elements Kindness and Loyalty respectively, and finally we have Applejack, the Element of Honesty.” she says pointing to each one of us in turn.
“It's nice to meet all of you, i am Novuas Steelstream, but you may Nova for short.” the male said bowing his head in greeting.
“It's nice to meet you too Mr.Nova, but we need to get to Twilight fast, so can you pretty please show us where she went?” Pinkie asked, hoping that being nice to them would change their minds.
“Even if I did, you would all get hurt.” he replied, getting us to look at him in confusion, he seemed to notice. “The first two trials were physical combat and instinct, seeing how she fought and reacted in certain ways and opponents, the next two are all about magic and mental fortitude.” he explained, that got us to understand that the next tests are all about magic.
“Oh… okay then, but when will we know when she's done?” Flutters asks, getting him to look over at the door leading to princess Luna’s side of the castle.
“We’ll know, but until then, enjoy yourselves, it will be a couple of hours before she passes the next trial.” he says before a small stone table comes out of the ground, then filling with lots of different foods and drinks.
“Sweet! Let's dig in!” Dash exclaimed before jumping at the table, her wings now fully functional again.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Okay, three questions before the third trial starts.” I say, to which my newest opponent nodded in response. “Okay, first question, what are the next two trials going to be about?” I ask, my opponent smiled widely.
“This trial is all about your mental fortitude, we will be having a fight within our minds, while the trial after, is all about magic, and I mean everything about magic.” the figure, who I now know is a female responded before nodding her head. “Two left.” she commented before going completely silent.
“Okay… why is Arcana doing all of this?” I ask, thinking about the answers i got from the last two ponies.
“He wants to test you, and your Element agrees with him, therefore, this Trial of Magic, you have proved yourself better than we could ever have hoped when it came to physical fighting and reacting upon instinct alone, but now we must test you mentally and magically.” she responded, making me smile a bit, I did better than expected, that was good.
“Okay, last question, why did Arcana help Discord even though he's evil?” I ask, getting the female to chuckle, making me confused.
“Discord isn’t evil, he's Chaotic Neutral, meaning he isn't good, but he isn't evil either, as for Arcana helping him, he promised Discord that he could help him once, a debt for freeing him from his own stone prison.” she replied before i felt something enter my body, making me sleepy.
I fell to the ground, but notice that she also fell to the ground. When I opened my eyes again, I saw that my body had a small transparency to it, making me think of ghosts, before the blackness parted to show me a hallway, with a light at the end, I slowly made my way towards it, when I saw what was in front of me, I nearly fainted, i was in the biggest library I could ever imagine, at one table there sat a unicorn that I never saw before, who looked like she was playing chess with a robot and winning, she also seemed bored about it. She beat the robot after a few more minutes afterwards, the contraption and board vanished into thin air, she stood up and straightened her dress before looking at me.
“Ah, you're here, finally, now the trial can begin.” she replied before standing up and showing six crystals, each a different color.
“What are those?” I ask before remembering that i couldn't ask questions.
“These are six of your emotions, Love,” she says holding out the pink one before switching it with a green one. “Willpower,” she then swapped to a yellow one. “Fear,” she then swapped it with a purple one. “Compassion,” she then held out a blue one. “Hope, and finally, Magic.” she says holding out a pure lavender crystal. “These are the six strongest attributes about you, therefore, you must find them, if you can do it before that hourglass empties in a full rotation, then you pass the trial, if not, then you must go back to the second trial.” she explains while pointing towards a very large hourglass.
Said hourglass looked like it was ready to turn over, it only needed a nudge for the sand to start pouring into the empty side.
“Ready?” she asks holding out the six crystals, three in each hand.
I nodded my head, she simply tossed them into the air before they shot out in different directions, the hourglass started to fill.
“I hope you have the fortitude to finish this.” she said before disappearing from sight, into the many shelves above.
"Okay, I can do this." I thought to myself as I ran down one of the isles, looking from shelf to shelf for anything that could show me where one of the crystals were.
It took another fifteen minutes and a quick backtrack in order for me to find a blue book on a table, it had a soft glow that made me become attracted to it, so I opened the book, to which a flash of light enveloped my sight, making me cover my eyes. When I regained my vision, I saw a black stone hall with a light blue line going across the floor, down the hall.
"Twilight~" I heard from down the hall, it sounded just like me, only more… angelic, I guess, like princess Celestia almost.
“Who’s there?” I ask, walking down the hall, slowly following the blue line.
“Find me Twilight~” the voice replied, not even answering my question, the line then started fading away from me.
I began to sprint after the quickly fading line, the voice continuing to bait me and call for me to find it, i was growing frustrated, which made me run faster after the line of light, I could start to hear giggles coming from all around me, making me confused as I glance to my sides in case I miss something. This continued until I found a blue version of me sitting on a table, giggling at my panting form.
“Hi Twily~” the blue version of me said as i caught my breath.
“So… you're my hope?” I ask as I finally catch my breath, i'm still breathing heavily, but now i'm fully standing up.
“Yeperooni! Call me Hope, just so we don't get confused~” she says standing up and walking towards on side of the room, which was a dark yellow, letting us both stand out.
“So… how do we do this?” I ask as i was about to step forward, only to see her light up her horn, with some blast matrix’ appear on her hands.
“How do think Twily, you're here to fight, so we fight.” she comments before firing four blasts of magic at me.
“Whoa!” I yelled while jumping out of the way of the blasts, luckily, there were some pillars holding the roof up that i could duck behind.
“THIS IS COMPLETELY INSANE!!” my logical side yelled in my head as my practical side was busy looking through my spell repertoire so i could fight my hope.
“I know! Now shut up and focus! We need to win!” my practical side yelled back before going back to my spells. “Okay, I've got the order… launch spell combo Delta-Alpha-Shadow in three… two… one…” my practical side said with cold calculation.
Once i heard ‘one’ in my head I was already moving, my horn alight and two different spell matrix’ on my hands, one for third level magic bolts in my right, while I had second level homing needles in my left. I started by firing three homing needles towards her as I ducked behind another pillar, then moving up to the next set of pillars.
“Trying to hide Twily?~” she asked as a blast hit the edge of the pillar i just went behind.
“You wish Hope.” I call back before jumping toward the pillar in front of me.
My plan was simple, move between the pillars until I could get close enough, the second set of pillars away from her would be good, then switch from homing needles to a shot shield, letting me fire my bolts of magic while protecting myself from any magic blasts or any projectile coming from her, and for the most part, it seemed to be working, I was slowly moving up the pillars, as I had to dodge a few blasts from Hope when she wasn't busy dodging my needles.
“Not bad Twily~, not bad at all~” she compliment while blocking two needles, she was quite the gymnast, she seemed to know what the needles did, as one of her hands was now locked up for a bit.
Now the ‘Homing Needle’ spell wasn't used for lethal damage, as it was more of a nerve spell, meaning that it would either lock up said targeted limb, or make it go to sleep, both ways work, in fact, the royal guards use this spell often.
“Okay… let's finish this.” I think as I reached the closest pillar, i took a deep breath before changing my left needle spell matrix into a shot shield matrix.
I rushed out just in time to see her block the last of my needles, just as I had hoped, i had jumped just as she turned towards me letting me go over her and land close enough for a bash, which I accomplished, I then went over to her and leveled my bolt matrix towards her.
“Yield.” I simply said, my magic a little drained, keeping the spells going for that long, she chuckled.
I yield Twilight, you have completed the Sub-trial of Hope.” she says before she exploded into blue energy.
Said energy started to wrap around me in a comforting glow, until it faded and I was blinking around at the shelves of the library again, the book in front of me no longer glowing, letting me know that I needed to move on, but I noticed that part of my magic felt more powerful, specifically, my magic blasts and bolts.
“Interesting, i'll have to test that out later, most likely the next test.” I thought as I traversed the grand library quickly, looking for the next glow, the next pull.

“Interesting… the rest of the E.o.H. are here, most likely looking for Twilight, which reminds me, i need to get both of us ready for the final fight, after all, even after my trial, the element has a trial for her too…” I think as I watch from the double doors, the girls were eating the summoned food with different levels of enthusiasm. “Ah, the joys of blissful ignorance… I wonder how I can help them from now on… though, I would have to be in stone, at least until something they can't stop comes in to destroy Equestria… then i'll be released, and put into the hospitality of one of them, most likely Twilight herself, after all, she and Starlight are the definition of OP… so if I had to be placed with anypony, she would be the best choice.” I thought as the Celestial sisters come out of the Everfree and glared at me.
“As much as you are my brother Arcana, I hate you for making me endure that.” Luna said after I closed the doors, just to be sure that the girls couldn't hear us.
“It's good to see you in the realm of the waking too Lulu, and i'm sorry for that, I had wanted two of the Elements to go with Discord, not you two.” I say as I reshape the trees near me into a table with three chairs. “Care to join me?” I ask as I motion to the seats, one seat facing two, they just nodded and sat down.
“So they came with them, meaning they found out about the riddle, damn, I was hoping she wouldn't share it with them…” I thought as I sat across from them.
"So… you came to support Twilight, didn't you?" I ask looking straight at Celestia, she looked at me with a cold glare.
"We did… though i suppose that we aren't allowed entry into the castle, are we." She states, glaring at me even harder.
"Oh you can enter, the rest of the girls are on the other side of those doors in fact, you just can't interfere with the trials." I say pointing right towards the double doors that served as the entrance. "By the way, how do ya like the renovations I did with the place? Repaired it all by hand, and I don't mean magic." I say gesturing to the entire castle, they seem to just notice much of a nice place it looked.
“It definitely looks better than the last time both of us were here… but how did you do it?” Celestia asks looking at the castle in front of her.
“I had help, plus i needed to fix up the place for Twilight's trial anyways so I thought, ‘You know, besides making a nice place to live, this could act as the grounds for her Trial of Magic, plus, I could always fix the place of any damage she or her Element create in the magic fight trial that they're both going to accomplish, but wait, I need some extra hands to work on this, which means I'll have to distract her for a bit’, after I had that thought, I simply made the rhyme that made her go to Canterlot, knowing that she'd most likely share the riddle with the two of you, even against my hopes, which now brings us here.” I explained as I relaxed in the chair, Luna face-palms while Celestia starts getting angrier at that statement of me living here.
“And what pray tell, is to stop us from blasting you right now?” Celestia asks, making Luna face-table, which just makes me chuckle internally.
“Easy, there are going to be threats out there in the world, that will make everything you and those girls have gone up against, look like cute little puppies that you can't help but cuddle.” I say with a cold determination, looking straight into her eyes, she seemed off put by my statement.
“Well, like any villain, the Elements can take care of them.” she said in determination, having full faith in her ‘perfect defense’, that got me to smirk.
“Even if said villains are perfectly fine with killing them before they can do anything without remorse or guilt?” I asked, getting Luna to shoot up in surprise while Tia looked right out shocked, I continued breaking her vision of her all powerful defense. “Think about it, a beast made of pure flesh and fire, that’s able to kill anything around it with its body heat alone, wielding a sword as tall as your tower in Canterlot that can conduct and store lightning, and giant whip made of metal chains that can catch fire whenever it wanted it to, and when defeated, explodes in a fiery blaze so hot that everything within a hundred feet gets consumed in the flames, now imagine the damage it could do to your Element bearers, Twilight is the only one that could potentially survive a beast like that, the rest are as good as dead.” I say, explaining a Baylor going up against the mane six, the looks of horror that slowly spread on their faces was almost worthy of a smirk that i got my point across… almost .
“How does such a thing exist?” Luna asks, getting me to sigh and lean back in my chair while looking off towards the Gates of Tartarus.
“Tis the mystery of the Nine Hells Lulu… tis the mystery…” I say before looking back at them, they look confused. “You don't know of the Nine Hells?” I ask, they shake their heads in denial.
“We know of Tartarus, but not of nine hells, what are they?” Celestia asks, getting my to think about it for a bit before nodding.
“The Nine Hells, or better known as the Nine layers of Hell, are what make the entirety of hell, or as you know it, Tartarus.” I explain, they gasp before letting me continue. “Each layer is a representation of some sort of sin, such as the seven deadly sins, these layers are named in order, Avernus , the layer of Wars, most go to this layer, in preparation for the Blood War.” I said before Celestia spoke up.
“What's the Blood War?” she asked, making me sigh in regret of bringing up those two words.
“The Blood War is when every demon and devil of the nine hells charges into the Overworld, or better known as the Material Plane… and kill everything upon it.” I explain, they seemed worried before Celestia sighed in regret.
“At least Equestria won't be run over then.” she says, making me snort in surprise.
“Celestia… this is the Material Plane, if the Blood War happens, then every creature upon this very soil, and even across the sea, will die.” I say, making her go from shock to realization and settling on horror.
“How do we stop it, surely there must be a way.” she says standing up, I shake my head before answering.
“The only way to stop it is to destroy the Hellish Orb, which regulates how much magic the casters use to sustain the portal to the hells, but we won't know where it is until it's active.” I say, getting her to slowly sit down, Luna finally spoke up.
“How will we know when it's active?” she asks, getting straight to the details, that's what I always liked about her.
“Well… I suppose that it would feel like a very big pulse of corrupted dark magic, even those who barely know anything about magic would be able to sense it, and trust me, it's not a very inviting feeling.” I say getting them to shiver at my brief description of the energy anyone who could do magic would feel.
“Okay… what about the other eight layers?” Tia asks getting me to frown at the knowledge I had about the layers.
“The rest of the layers are as such, Dis , the layer of the Iron City, followed by Minauros , Phlegethos and Stygia , the layers ofGreed, Envy and Lust in that order, next are Malbolge , and Maladomini , the layers of Illusions and Deception respectively, after it comes Cania , the layer of the Drow, and finally Nessus , the layer of… Asmodeus .” I finish naming off the nine layers of hell, each one giving me a sense of dread, especially the last one, that name wasn't one i would say lightly.
“Who is Asmode-” Celestia started to ask before I clamped her muzzle down quickly.
“Do NOT say his name. ” I growl out gravely, making both of them look at me in fear, which makes sense, my eyes turned into that of a predator.
“W-w-what do y-you mean b-brother?” Luna asks, her voice starts to shake, which makes sense, she's never seen me angry before.
“Whatever you do, never, and I mean never , say that name, I only say it with the utmost caution in place, and even then, there's always a possibility that he can still hear us.” I growl at her, my eyes slowly going back to normal, I slowly let go of Celestia’s muzzle so she can speak again.
“Who is… he?” she asks once i sit down, i stay alert now, my muscles flexed and ready.
“He is the most silver tongued being that you will ever meet in your entire existence, the demon lord of the final layer, he always gets what he wants, even if it's by force, negotiation, or outright tearing a hole from his layer into the material plane and dragging you… the god slayer of the hells, the dark protector of this plane, I despise him with a passion, but my fear of him is far greater than my spite.” I say as I glanced around the small clearing, looking for anything out of the ordinary.
“Fear? That is something that you never showed to me before, even when the elements were used against you.” Tia said, making me chuckle at the irony of her statement.
“Tia… that's my secret, I don't show my fear, yet i'm always afraid, i just shove my fear aside to do what i must in order to survive… by the way, i'd like to apologize, I used both of you without either of you knowing.” I say, making them look at me curiously and confused.
“What do you mean?” Lulu asks, Tia acknowledging her question with a nod.
“I only have eight hundred years to live, now i can do a lot with that time, but back then, when we first met, there was no way that I'd be able to interact with this time, even if I found a way to prolong my life, and so, I purposefully made the two of you use the Elements on me so I could see this life, and live in this generation.” I explained, they had looks of shock on their faces.
“So that's why you had your hands near the tree… you were luring us into imprisoning you…” Tia said in revelation, I simply nodded in response.
“And it worked… but why?” Luna asked as I sighed, I was not wanting to tell them the truth… not yet anyway.
“I don't know, i thought Tia here just had a short temper.” I say shrugging my shoulders, before a hear something in my head via spell. “Welp, I better get going, the final trial is coming up soon and everyone needs to be there, but I have to get up there, i'm the final trial after all, see you two up in the tower.” I say before using my wind magic to launch me towards the exact tower that Nightmare Moon and Twilight were in when she first came to Ponyville.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I had finally found the next book, this one was pink, I knew this was my love, if the colors coordinated with the emotion, I immediately opened the book, only to be pulled into it, and appeared in a grand dome, where everything was a dark pink, but what stood out was the… currently naked version of me.
“Twily! I'm so glad you came, I was starting to get a little… lonely~” she said, making me blush in the way she ended that sentence.
“Sorry, just had to find you first… so, I guess that we’re going to fight now?” I ask as I got first level bolts to begin with ready.
“Well… we could, but we could always do something different~” she said walking towards me, i was trying really hard not to look below her neck, but the closer she came, the harder it became, even if it was just another version of me.
“W-well, what would you suggest as an alternative?” I ask as she stops right in front of me, my blush now deepening as she leans forward and crosses her arms right under her breasts, making them bulge out towards me.
“We could always have a little fun~” she replies with lust deep in her voice, making me go beet red, it was really hard to process the thoughts that weren't having my head in the gutter after that.
“As fun as that might be, and I can definitely imagine that you'd make it very fun, I have a trial to complete, and you're in the way of the difference between Harmony and Chaos, therefore, I have to defeat you.” I say with as much conviction and willpower as I could muster before turning my matrix’ into a level four bolt and firing.
The four bolts hit her head on and knocked her down, sadly, her groans sounded really perverted, so I still had my blush as I stood over her and primed my bolts again.
“Concede Love, it'll make this easier for the both of us.” I say as she looks up at me with half lidded eyes, her body spread in a certain position.
“Fine… but next time, i'm having my fun Twiliykins~” she say winking suggestively before dissolving into a pink glow that swirled around me.
It went into places that I'd rather not say as it powered up my magic again, this time, my suggestion spells, mostly just mind control in general.
“Okay, two down, four to go.” I thought as I saw the library again, I immediately moved to find the next book.
During my search I actually saw the hourglass that was the center of this place, if the large circle area it was in was any indication, but what disturbed me was that it was three-fourths emptied into the other side, meaning I had one and a quarter rotation left, I immediately started to pick up my pace to search quicker. It took about twenty more minutes before I found a green book, my Will, I didn't waste any time in opening it and finding a green version of me, reading a book, the only difference was that this one was a stallion instead of a mare, he looked up and saw me, he bookmarked what he was reading and stood up, leaving the book on the chair.
“Twilight.” he said nodding his head, he almost sounded like Shining Armor, only lighter in tone, but I could tell he meant business.
“Will.” I said nodding back, we both stood there for a bit, waiting for the other to make a move.
It was then that we both activated a shield shot matrix and a needle matrix before firing at each other as if we had a small timer going off for our fight, we were trying to hit the other so the other would surrender quickly due to not being able to cast two spells at once, it was going about as well as one would think with shields, so we both switched, he to a wave matrix and I to a third level bolt matrix, we eventually both switched to two aura matrix’ and started to fight fist to fist, and while he could pack more of a punch in his blows, I could pack more magical damage into my blows.
“You've come a long ways Twilight, that's good, your willpower is tremendous.” he said as we broke away from each other and started to catch our breaths.
“Thanks, but your no pushover yourself, you've got quite the punch, if I wasn't pumping extra magic into my attacks, you'd be able to defeat me easily…” I say looking at him from my bowing state, we were both smiling a bit at the others compliments.
“My thanks, but I believe that if you want to finish the trial, you have to defeat me soon.” he said, and I agreed immediately, Love and Hope took up three-fourths of my time and now the hourglass has probably already started it's next rotation.
“Then let's finish this, one last attack, this being the deciding blow.” I say as I activate my aura matrix in my right hand again, he nods and does the same.
We charged each other quickly, rearing back our fists, and as he went for the hit, I pulled a move from Artimus’ style and weaved around it with the grace of a cat, letting me slip by and hit him with an uppercut, I would’ve laughed at his expression when I did that if we weren't in the middle of a fight, he flew back and hit the ground hard, I was really straining my magic now, but I eventually walked up to him, he looked up at me and I smiled and held my hand out for him, he smiled back and took it, letting me help him up.
“A very good maneuver Twi.” he says, I notice that he's no longer using the business voice, meaning that I passed.
“Thanks Will, I'll see you around, yeah?” I ask as we shook and he starts to become a soft light.
“Definitely, now go forth young one, and face this trial and the one after with your hopes and dreams supporting you and your steel will seeing you through.” he said before enveloping me in a green glow, I was immediately in the library again.
“Don't worry Will, I won't let you down, because I won't let anything stop me from obtaining my element.” I whispered as I sprinted to the other side of the library, passing the hourglass, which had started filling the bottom part again, this gave me about an hour left, maybe an hour and a half before I failed the trial.
It took only ten minutes before I found a yellow one, this was my fear, which made me question why fear was one of my strongest traits, why not something more fitting, like intelligence? I was wondering it, but I couldn't waste time doing that, so I opened the book, but it seemed to resist me, which was confusing, because it was just a book, but then I remembered what emotion this was, so I whistled what my mom used to sing to me to the book, eventually I was able to open the book, bringing me into a small room with a younger yellow version of me, she was hiding in the corner, trying to get as small as she could, slowly walked up to her, which made her try to shrink even more than she was, when I was three feet away I sat down.
“I can see why fear is a strong emotion now… especially in me.” I think before smiling i bit at the girl, who looked at me with fear and curiosity, I started to remember what mom did when i was like this.
“What's wrong dear?” I asked softly, she looked ready to cry. “Are you afraid of something?” I asked peering around the room, it looked like a gray scale version of my old room after i was Celestia’s student.
She nodded and pointed over to the bed, i knew this fear well, sometimes Spike would crawl under the bed because it was too bright and would snore when in a dark space. It wasn’t until he had a sleep schedule as my assistant that he stopped doing that.
“Silly filly, that just Spikey.” I said booping her nose, it was a Pinkie thing, but I thought that it was a good idea, she giggled a bit before I went over and got the small drake out from under the bed, showing him to her, she smiles in embarrassment. “Come on you silly filly, let's get you to bed.” I said picking her up, she squeaked in surprise before I leaned her against my chest, she began to slowly go to sleep.
“Night… mommy…” I heard her say before drifting off to the dream realm, that made me go into shock, but then I remembered that she was just a filly me, so with how I acted, she would see me as a mother.
“Goodnight, sleep tight, and dream of flying with the princesses tonight, my little Paranoia.” I whispered to her before tucking both her and Spike into the bed, she turned into a soft golden yellow light before wrapping around me.
The glow set against my chest, and I embraced it with a soft touch, when i blinked again, I was back in the library, I had two more books to find, Magic and Compassion, which were both on this side of the library, as they followed my fear to this side, so I began my trek to find either of them. After twenty minutes I found a white book, which I took but didn't open, i knew this was Magic, but i think that this was supposed to be the last one that i find, so I continued my search until I found the purple one, my Compassion, I immediately opened the book and saw a version that looked almost like me, the only difference was that she was two different shades of violet, her mane and tail being significantly darker than her coat.
“Twilight! It's good to see you, I've always wanted to talk to you.” she said smiling, I noticed that we were in the library I basically moved into after three years of being Celestia’s student.
“So, what's you're name? Because i'm sure you don't want me to call you Compassion.” I say as I look up to her, she smirks.
“You're right, call me, Pashi, instead.” she says placing a hand on her chest as if she were about to present something extravagant.
“Alright Pashi, so how are we going to do this?” I asked before she dropped down to my level and looked at me with a smile.
“Well, that all depends on how you treated the others.” she says as four empty crystals appeared in front of her, which made her look at me questioningly. “You didn't go to Magic before me?” she asked, getting me to chuckle before pulling out the white book and showing her.
“Figured that Magic was the most powerful of all six, and therefore, by elimination, i had to find you next, before i went after Magic.” I said before putting the book away, she nodded her head to agree with my logic.
“Very well… then let's look, shall we?” she says before four screens pop out of the crystals, showing all four areas that I was in.
The first one to play was Hope’s crystal, showing our battle and my eventual victory.
“Strategic, and she held no hard feelings about it, good.” she said before Love’s crystal started to play, she seemed to chuckle at my embarrassment. “Ah yes, Love’s advances on you, but you eventually got out of that… for the time being.” she continues before Will’s starts to play showing our battle, she seemed to smile, especially at the end, where I helped him up smiling. “Well i don't think he thinks badly of you, i mean, he is smiling at the end.” she says before Fear started playing, which made her have a sad smile, looking at the little version of me. “And you approach with the motherly role to her… it's nice to see that you truly are compassionate.” she says before the crystals disappear, she then turned to me. “You're trial was supposed to be mine last, as I was the judge of this trial… but with what I've seen, i say you've passed my sub-trial, so good luck in the final sub-trial Twi, you'll need it.” she says before leaping at me while turning into light.
She wrapped around me before i came back to the library, I immediately ran for the center to look at the hourglass, it was almost empty, so i had to end this final sub-trial fast, so I flipped the book open as I quickly brought it in front of me, the flash made me cover my eyes, when I opened my eyes again, I saw an angelic white version of me with bolt matrix’ ready, I immediately threw up a shield to block the shots she threw at me.
“Do you understand how important this fight is?” she asks as she lands halfway towards me.
I dropped the shield and rushed her, throwing needles and bolts at her, not answering the question, as I knew I had to win and quick if i was to move on to the final trial. So i began to throw every kind of spell i had at her at least once, always changing when I threw the spells, logic and planning weren't going to win, but I did know that she was just as good if not better at magic than I was, she probably knew this, because she threw a counter-spell for everything i threw, I eventually made a clone of myself and hid while the clone continued the fight with her, I started to create a level ten dual beam matrix, which takes a good ten minutes to complete, after nine more minutes passed before my Magic finally made my clone fall on her flank, she stood above her, a level four dual beam matrix in her hands.
“You lose Twilight Sparkle, you fail.” she says about to release the beam.
“No, you lose Magic, I've just been providing the best distraction I could.” my clone said before i came out from around the pillar.
“IT'S OVER!” I yelled as I fired the beam right at her.
It took her by surprise as she turned to see a pure ten foot magenta beam of magic hurtling at her, I noticed her matrix’ started to falter before they started to shift, she tried to put up a shield, but my clone fired needles into her arms, making them useless, the beam hit her head on, enveloping her on the spot, she screamed in pain before everything went white. When I regained my vision, I was lying on the ground, sweat covering my brow as I started to get up, on the other side of the room, I saw my Magic still implanted in the wall which had a good four foot deep indent in it.
“It's over Magic… I win.” I said as my clone fell apart and disappeared, I was now standing with shaky legs, she opened her eyes to look at me with a small smile on her lips.
“It does seem that way Twilight, excellent use of the cloning matrix by the way, I couldn't tell the difference.” she said as she turned into light. “Congratulations, you have passed the Trial of Fortitude.” she said before the light blinded me, making me close my eyes quickly.
When I opened my eyes again, I was in the lunar hall I first met the female again, looking across the hall, I saw that she was starting to get up, i was slightly injured, but other than being mentally exhausted a bit, i was fine, but she groaned as she propped herself against the wall before looking at me.
“Well done Twilight Sparkle, you have passed my Trial with seconds to spare… therefore, you have earned the third crystal fragment and the pathway to the final trial… I hope you bring everything with you to the next trial, because it will be the hardest fight you will ever be in.” she said pulling out the third fragment out from her cloak.
It floated up to me and I quickly put it into my pocket, there was a soft glow coming from it before I grabbed it.
“Thanks for the warning, I don't plan on holding back during the next trial.” I said as I stood up slowly, she chuckled and nodded.
“I'll be watching, so you better.” she said before i passed by her and made my way towards a spiral staircase at the end of the hall.
I started to climb, wondering who my next ‘Trial Master’ as I've come to call them was. I continued up the staircase for a good ten minutes before seeing a pair of double doors with my cutiemark on it, i decided to rest and recover before heading in, so I sat down and went to sleep.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It had been three hours since we entered the castle and waited for the results of the third trial to be revealed, I was getting impatient, and i could tell Dash was too, she was twitching her wings, like she usually does when she has to wait for more than an hour for something. The princesses had surprised us when they entered about an hour and a half ago, they apparently were done with Discord’s game and made it to the castle easily, they were introduced to Artimus and Nova, who greeted them like they did us, Artimus was still sitting in Nova’s lap, letting him pet her ears slowly, it wasn’t until twenty minutes later that the doors on Luna’s side of the castle glowed violet briefly before fading, making Artimus go over and peak inside, she gasped and rushed in, we were worried before peaking inside, she was kneeling next to another cloaked figure, fretting over her like a mother would their children.
“Star, what happened to make you like this?! You've got cuts all over your arms and legs, not to mention the bruises and a black eye.” she said looking over her quickly, Fluttershy came over to look at her too.
“Not much… just a giant beam of pure magic hitting me in the face while doing battle in the mindscape happened to hit me dead on before I could pull up a shield.” the cloaked pony said, confirming that it was a mare.
“Geeze sis, what happened for you to get hit by that?” Nova asked walking over to the girls.
“Screw you too you thieving bastard, and for the record, I wasn't expecting her to use a cloning matrix like that, she took me by surprise is all, it hurt a lot… but her spell drained her, I could tell that she didn't have that much energy left, not that i was in better condition, it hurt just to sit up like this, so i could use some healing spells.” she explained before he made his hands glow with a brilliant light green glow before he placed them on her shoulders.
She was bathed in that same green light before it slowly dimmed down and she slowly stood up, with some help from her brother, she stretched and nodded.
“That's better, thanks bro, guess you're not a complete bastard, but you're still a thievin’ one.” she said lightly punching him in the shoulder, he chuckled before speaking up so everypony could hear.
“I suppose that Ms.Sparkle has passed three of the four Trials of Magic, we should head up to the viewing platform, for the final battle, and the deciding trial of Harmony or Chaos.” he says wrapping an arm around both Star and Artimus before leading them through the door we just came from, Artimus looked back at us.
“Are you girls coming or what?” she asked while still following Nova.
“Wait, why aren't we going up those stairs?” Dash asked pointing towards the staircase at the end of the hall, Nova sighed at that question, but it was Star who answered.
“Because that leads to the final trial, besides, and I don't think you want to miss out on an epic battle of pure magic potential, skill and cunning by sitting behind a door for hours and hours on end, do you?” she said, firing her own question back at us, we definitely had sat in wait enough, and I knew I didn't want to do that more.
“Alright, y’all got us, let get movin’.” I said before following the three cloaked figures towards the other side of the castle.
It took about an hour before we made it to the top of one of the towers, this had a large black screen on one side, there were also seats for all of us, a big couch that could easily fit five ponies along with four chairs. There was food and drinks in the middle of the seats.
“Welcome to the viewing area, go ahead and grab a seat, get comfy and get ready for the show.” Artimus said before plopping on the far left chair, we all took a seat, with Nova and Star sitting on the floor in front of the table, eating a large bag of chips and some water.
It only took five more minutes before the screen came to life, showing Twilight, her body was slightly bruised and battered, but she held herself with determination, she looked slightly tired but alert, it was then that something came at her from one of the pillars to attack her, to which she responded by ducking from the sweeping leg only to jump away from the attacker when they brought their other leg down towards her head, the figure jumped away before they landed at an equal distance from each other, the figure then thrust their hands out, we could hear crackling coming from the screen.
“Thunder Elves, Ho!” Artimus calls out as we see electricity sparking on their hands as they slowly pull them apart, showing actual lightning bolts traveling in between both hands.
“Get ‘em Twilight!” Dash cheers as Twi does the same thing, only for four white balls to materialize in between her hands instead.
“Let's see who's superior in the field of magic, the ‘Jack-of-all-trades’ Twilight… or the master of elements Forest.” Nova says before the screen changed.
It showed just the both of them on the screen with their names and a diagonal line going through the middle with the letters ‘VS’ in a bold golden yellow on it, the background behind the hooded figure was lavender while Twilight’s was white, then we heard a deep announcing voice come from the screen.
“Twilight Sparkle! Versus, Forest Flare! Three… two… one… FIGHT!!” it said before switching back to the two of them as they both rushed each other magic flaring as they tried to blast the other.
Anything after that was lost to the cacophony of shouts from everypony as the two fought with all their strength, it was definitely something, to see two very capable and skilled magic users going at it for the world, because of Twilight lost, that was it, Discord ruled over Equestria again, but if she won, then both Arcana and Discord would be trapped in stone again.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

About an hour and a half after I went to sleep, I woke back up, i felt better than before, I stood up and walked towards the door that still held my mark, I opened them, there, on the other side of the room was my element, but what got me thing was that the crystal that looked like my cutiemark was missing, I took a couple of steps into the room before my instincts told me to duck, when i did i noticed a leg fly over my head before I jumped back before i could be hit again by the other leg, the figure then jumped backwards towards my element.
“The fourth trial begins now, there will be no questions until the trial is over.” the figure said, making me recognize the voice as Arcana’s.
“Arcana?! You're my final trial master?” I ask getting him to nod.
“Time to put your training to the ultimate test Twilight Sparkle… Noctis Lucis Voca!” he calls out thrusting his first forwards.
I could hear the sounds of electricity coming from him before he pulls apart his hands, slowly opening them to show pure lightning arcing from his hands, his eyes bore into my soul and he seemed to be issuing me a magician's challenge, I had to accept it, and for Equestria, i had to win . So I charged up a spell I haven't used in a while, a fourth level missile matrix, I copied his movements before four balls of pure magic formed in between my hands, three were spiraling around the fourth, i saw he held an excited smile on his face, I smiled a bit too before I heard a voice echoed through the room.
“Twilight Sparkle! Versus, Forest Flare!” the voice called out making me look around, but i see Arcan-no, Forest , tensing his muscles, making me do the same. “Three… two… one… FIGHT!” it calls out before he charged me, I decided that I would meet his charge last second.
We threw our spells at each other with great precision, they hit the others spell and exploded before we reached each other and started throwing fists and magic enchantments at each other, eventually using more damaging spells he was using nature spells while i was using every type of spell in my arsenal to take him down, after a good hour and a half I finally knocked him back, he tumbled across the ground until he stopped groaning, that wasn't that hard, I wasn't even going past fifty percent power at most.
“Not bad Twilight… now let's see how you handle a little power-up.” he says before i see the female from my last trial come from nowhere and clasp hands with him, making her disappear from sight, he seemed to have healed a bit.
"Oh that's just not fair!" I yelled at him as i could feel his magic output rise.
"This is everything you've been taught Twilight… i'm not making this easy or fair." He says flexing his muscles a bit, I'll admit, I was staring as his muscles while he flexed them.
"Round Two! Fight!" The voice from before said before firing off more spells, making me put up a seventh level shield matrix.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's tough, watching your student go through something like this, fighting to save Equestria, this wasn't supposed to happen, she should've imprisoned Discord two days ago, not tomorrow, but i guess it was to expected considering who she was currently fighting, I noticed that as I was doing an inner monologue, one of the two ponies, Star, I think her name was, wasn't sitting in front of me anymore, it was then that I heard the others.
"Oh come on! That's just cheating!" Rainbow exclaimed very loudly, making gestures towards the viewing screen.
When I looked, I saw Star standing next to Arcana before disappearing from sight, the bar on his side of the screen, which was half red, started to fill until it was three-fourths green, i heard Nova chuckling.
"Round Two! Fight!" The screen said before spells were being used again.
"It wouldn't be much of a boss fight if he was defeated easily Dashie." Nova said making her growl in annoyance.
"Yeah, then we wouldn't get a great fight from either of them." Artimus remarked while grabbing a small bucket of candy.
“True, but did he really have to heal that much, i think that's a broken mechanic.” Pinkie commented eating another bucket of candy.
“I don't know, I can't do that… but that'd be awesome to do, just as your opponent thinks you're defeated, someone comes in and merges with you… giving you your strength back, if only somewhat.” Artimus replies taking handfuls of candy during the scene.
“True… that's definitely helpful.” Pinkie replies also eating her candy.
“What is with these two?” I thought as they continued their conversation on how it could be improved upon.
I noticed Nova preparing a spell, looking at the screen, I saw that Twilight’s bar had just passed halfway, while Arcana’s was about to drop to a quarter, both were going down considerably as they traded blow for blow, whether it was magic or their fists, when Arcana was about to be defeated, he disappeared from sight, right in front of me, one second, sitting, the next, gone, I looked at the screen and he was blocking Twilight’s magic bolts with great precision.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Block, duck, bolt, needle, wave, bolt, shield, triple bolt, quad needle, uppercut, left leg, cross, hook, hook, wave, counter kick…” my mind was working overtime trying to keep up with Forest and his quickened magic, speed, and strength, but it was nothing a small boost couldn't handle, it was certainly getting more difficult than I had hoped.
“This is certainly harder than the last bout Forest, I have to give you some credit, you certainly know how to bring out the best in a pony.” I say as we lock fists again, I was panting a bit, and while I could tell he was too, he had a smile plastered on his face, as if he was enjoying this.
“I try Twilight, i wouldn't be who I am if I wasn't a good person.” he says before trying to kick my head.
I ducked under it, in doing so, I headbutted his stomach, making him lose in the struggle, letting me slug him in the face, he definitely was low enough now.
“And I have to give you credit too, you've definitely given me a fight I've been hoping for Twilight, if you weren't Tia’s student, then I'd probably ask if you'd be mine.” he said getting up and getting into another fighters stance, I was smiling, knowing he was actually praising me, and not just trying to boost my ego.
“Thank you, but i have to win.” I said prepping level five bolts to finish him off, this was it, the end of chaos.
I threw ten bolts at him, and while I smirked at him, knowing he was defeated, he was smiling at me, before the bolts were blocked by something very fast, when all of the bolts were blocked, I saw the male that was in my second trial.
“Time to finish this game, or do i have to take over for you?” the male asked, shifting his head just enough for me to know that he was talking to Forest and not me.
“Yeah-yeah, I get it Nova, time to wrap this up, let's do it.” Forest says before clasping his hand, Nova turned into light before disappearing, Forest stood up and stretched. “Ready for this Twilight? This is my FULL POWER!” he called out before the air around him started to swirl around him.
“Final Battle! Fight!” the voice said again, but this time I ignored it and instead went to overpowering him at my full strength.
We clashed with fury and determination to defeat the other, everything hinging on this final fight, I couldn't lose, but I knew that he wasn't going to make this easy for me. We clashed at each other for a good two and a half hours, throwing fists, hooves, and even spells at each other, it was hard, and we were both badly damaged, but I eventually won, he stood there, completely disoriented.
“FINISH HIM!” the voice boomed through the room, i knew what it meant, deal the final blow and win, or let him recover to fight even more.
I knew the perfect spell to do so, so I made a level six dual beam and fired it straight at him, he flew into the wall, smashing into it, when the beam died, he was impacted into the wall.
“Victor… Twilight Sparkle!” the voice said making me smile, i saw that the final piece had floated away from Forest and was now resting above my tiara.
Having a hunch, I pulled out the other three pieces and set them in my palms, they each started floating towards the fourth piece. Once there, they started to glow and spin in a circle as they got closer and closer to each other, once they were close enough, they emitted a blinding light, making me look away, when I could see the pieces again, I saw my crystal floating above my tiara, it then set itself into the slot perfectly, without any sound. I was about to hit the floor when I felt somepony catch me.
“Whoa there sugarcube, don't go hittin’ your head on us now.” I heard before sleep took me away, into it's sweet embrace.
“I did it… I really did it…” was my only thought before I fully went under.------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We were all cheering when we saw that Forest’s bar went dark, i noticed that Artimus was clapping, even when her side lost. I could see the acknowledgement that Twilight was that good, even better that Forest.
“Well done Twily, well done indeed…” I heard her say to herself, getting me to smile at the statement.
“Well, what now?” Dash asks, getting all of us to look at Artimus.
“Go and congratulate your friend, she just pulled off a feat that not many have the honor of claiming.” Artimus said making a ‘shoo’ing gesture towards us.
Before any of us could agree with her, Celestia and Luna had teleported us straight to Twilight, she was swaying in place and was about to hit her head on the floor when I caught her.
“Whoa there sugarcube, don't go hittin’ your head on us now.” I said before a small smile formed on her lips and she slipped into sleep, she looked peaceful like that.
“Kinda cute…” I thought but immediately blushed at that thought, I've never had that thought before… so why now?
“Is she alright AJ?” Dash asks, my back still to them, that got me out of my stupper.
“Ye-yeah… she's fine, just exhausted is all…” I reply, fighting to keep my blush down, I pulled her closer, sitting on the ground and placing her head in my lap, I looked up at the slightly limp form of Forest Flare, he was just… hanging there. “Does anypony know why Flare here did all this? I mean… he doesn't even seem like a threat.” I ask, continuing to watch him, Artimus came out of the doors, gaining our attention as she walked over to Forest and pulled him out of the wall.
“Because he cares… plus he doesn't want weaklings defending Equestria.” she said as she does the same thing i'm doing with Twilight.
“But why? I mean… I get that he'd want us to be tough, but other than that, he wouldn't have any reason to do this.” RD asked looking at him with a confused look on her face.
“Lulu, can you dive in and find out for them? He’ll be more open in the dreamscape.” she asked looking up at princess Luna, who kept silent, but nodded and came over to her.
She began to work her magic, but we then saw that she was having a little trouble, but after a few minutes, she got through.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I got through to my brother’s dream, I instantly saw a different environment, it was a house, that was for sure, but it seemed to be more… advanced, than the usual homes in Equestria, even those in Manehattan or Balimare, I started to hear voices from upstairs. So being the curious pony i am, i looked for the voices, it led me to a room that had it's door open, inside was what I would call, at best, shaved ponies, they seemed to be having a conversation while one was tending to the mane of the other.
“You know bro, you could always go with a wig, at least then it'll look a bit more natural than this mess you call hair.” the one standing said, the pitch letting me know it was female.
“No way Sapph, you know what my hair looks like when i take off a wig, besides, this way, I don't have to mess with it when I move too much.” the one sitting said, the voice i knew immediately as brother, but I didn't understand, he looked different.
“I know, I know, that's why I agreed to dye you're hair silver anyways, remember?” the girl now known as Sapph, asked leaning to her left and looking at him.
“I know, thanks for this by the way, we both know i would have botched it if i had tried by myself.” he said, making me come closer, I started to see similarities to brother the more I looked over his face.
“Hey guys! You ready yet?” I hear being yelled from downstairs, making me jump a bit, the others just rolled their eyes.
“One second Noah! Were just finishing up!” Sapph yelled back before doing brother’s mane again. “And… done! How does it look bro?” she asks turning him to face the mirror, I could say that he looked like I first saw him.
“I say… that it looks ready to take three days of fun!” brother says standing up, looking all over his hair, Sapph smiled in joy.
“Good, now I have to wash my hands, i'll she the two of you in the car.” she said before going through another door, brother started grabbing a few things, I noticed his bow, sword, shield, and his glaive.
“Now all I need is a spell book to complete the look… bah, i'll probably find one during the convention, but I better hurry, don't want to be late.” he says rushing down the stairs, his ‘sister’ following after a few minutes.
I was about to follow when the room suddenly shifted until I was in the Canterlot diner hall, brother sitting down in Celestia’s seat.
“Lulu.” he says drinking a cup of water.
“Brother… what was that?” I asked him as I walked up to him, I sat in my usual seat before he answered.
“One of my memories… it's been some time since i heard their voices…” he said, i could hear grief and sorrow deep in his voice, I even saw a tear going down his cheek.
“Who are they?” I ask, making him sigh, it was rare for him to be sad about something.
“My family before Equestria.” he replied as he set the cup down and reclined in the seat a bit, I was surprised by that.
“O-oh… well, do you know where they are?” I ask before he shakes his head in denial.
“I don't… but i know what they look like.” he says before the scenery changes to the room where I first met the rest of his family, he walked up to the fireplace and took the picture that was hanging above it.
“The same picture i saw when you introduced me to everyone…” I say in realization, he just nods absently, brushing a finger over the glass.
“That day was the last one I ever saw of them… and I don't know if they're dead or alive… but considering the lifespan of both races… I wouldn't be surprised if they were already claimed by nature.” he said, tears now slowly coming down his face, I quickly wrapped my arms around him as his hands begin to shake in sadness.
“Shh… you don't know that for sure… they could still be out there, looking for you, wanting to hear your voice again…” I said as the scene shifted into one that had us lying on a bed.
He was turning smaller, into a young colt, he was grabbing me as if he was scared that if he let go, i would disappear from his sight.
“Please don't leave me…” he said, his voice very different, if I had to guess, he was now about four or five.
I couldn't leave him, seeing him like this, I felt something different, a need to protect him from everything that could harm him.
“Don't worry my little wildfire… I won't leave you, not in a million years…” I whispered as I brought him closer to me.
I wasn't even blushing about how close he was to my chest, just that I needed to be there and protect him from any danger, and so I did, until I woke up the next day in the ruins of the old castle, Forest right next to me, sleeping peacefully, for what looked like a long time.
“Lun-” i heard before firing off a beam at whoever spoke, it was apparently my sister, and she looked shocked behind her simple shield.
“Shh… he's sleeping peacefully for once in over a thousand years.” I whisper-yelled at her, she quickly became quiet.
We waited about three more hours in silence before everypony began to wake up, Rainbow Dash and Applejack were quite loud so i put a noise canceling spell around both me and Forest, after ten minutes, everypony was up except for Forest, so i leaned into his ear to speak to him.
“Wake up my little wildfire, we have a long day ahead of us.” I whispered to him, he stirred and slowly opened his eyes.
“Lulu? wha…?” he asked looking around at the room and spotting the mares as well as Artimus all awake and talking. “Oh, right… she passed my trials… well, this is going to be fun.” he said standing up and stretching, I canceled the sound spell as he did, gaining the attention of everypony. “Okay… well, that was an eventful last couple of days.” he said before going over to the element and holding it like he would when crowning somepony. “Twilight? Will you come up here please.” he said, said mare came right up to him and waited two steps below him.
“Are you giving me my element back now?” she asked, getting the others to chuckle at her bluntness.
“Yes, but not before a little speech i cooked up if you did pass the trials.” he said holding the element closer to him than her, he cleared his throat before continuing. “Twilight Sparkle, student of Princess Celestia, Banisher of Nightmare Moon and savior of princess Luna, it is my greatest honor, to give you the title Master of Magic , for you have participated and completed the trials set just for you, and you did it by yourself. You have braved the most brutal of physical blows, and dealt damage far more brutal. You have shown that you can trust your instincts with unseen potential. You have proven that you can control your emotions. In doing so, letting your magic soar to new heights, and finally, you have gifted us, to everypony here, proof that you can pull up vast amounts of magic, and still fight, no matter how strong the opponent, and therefore, I present onto you, Master Sparkle, with the Crown of Magic… may if forever aid you in battle.” he spoke with conviction, he named each task she went under while here, and every title she has gained since becoming an element bearer, before slowly extending his arms forward to place the crown upon her head, she let him place it. “Let the element bring forth your true potential.” he says before letting go of the crown, which begins to glow, lifting Twilight into the air.
“Twilight!” everypony cried out as she began to be encased in a shimmering violet crystal.
“NOPONY MOVE!” he called out, his voice a lot louder than usual. “This is supposed to happen.” he explained after calming down.
“What do you mean ‘this is supposed to happen’!? She being crystallized!” Rarity exclaimed in worry glaring at the half-elf.
“As is part of the trial… the final trial of magic.” he said softly, just loud enough for everypony to hear him.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“What the…? Where am i?” I thought as my eyes try to readjust to the whiteness that seemed to be all around me, I decided to stand up, as i was currently laying down on what seemed to be floor.
“Welcome Twilight, to my realm…” a voice that seemed to protrude power spoke behind me, making me turn around, it was a white alicorn, but it wasn't Celestia, no, her mane was short and looked more like Dash’s mane than anything, but instead of multiple colors, it was a dark ginger.
“Who are you?” I asked as I activated my magic, she just sighed.
“You may call me, Faust.” the mare said as she curtsied a little bit, as if she was at a large noble party.
“Very well… where are we?” I ask, my bolts still ready to use.
“We are in my domain, the Golden Cloud city of Suntra.” she said clapping her hands, the white around us dissolved, showing me that I was standing on a pillar made of gold, or what looked like it.
As I look around me, I saw a sight that took my breath away. Buildings that shone in the light were underneath me, in so many shapes and sizes, towers that stretched towards the sky, people who had white wings that made Celestia’s look small, they even looked fuller than the princess’. The mare in front of me stayed quiet as I took in the golden city, sitting on her own pillar I couldn't believe that something like this existed I finally laid my eyes upon her form, was in a velvet dress, it flowed over her form gracefully, she was very young, but her eyes told me that she was older than Celestia herself, it was then that I decided to speak again.
“What am I doing here?” I asked her, she seemed to smile before floating up to me.
“You are here to partake in my Trial of Magic Twilight… your final trial.” she replied politely, even with the power in her voice, I felt at ease around her, which was weird.
“Okay what do i have to do?” I ask preparing for another battle.
“Simply answering a couple of questions will do Twilight.” she replied as she sat next to me, i looked slightly confused at her, but sat down nonetheless.
“Okay, lay them on me.” I said preparing for hard questions that would lead to a lot of thinking.
“What do you believe magic is?” she asked, I looked at her in shock, I wasn't prepared for this.
“W-well… I guess that magic is simply that, magic, no matter the form, there is no good or bad magic, it's just a way to extend your will onto others or objects, magic is mostly neutral, the only difference being holy and unholy magic.” I answered with my knowledge of quoting a book, she just shook her head.
“I don't want you to quote anything or anyone Twilight, i want to know what you think about magic.” she says, making me nervous, what did I think of magic?
“O-oh, well… I guess that magic is apart of ourselves, the more you have, the more you are willing to show, it doesn't matter what type of magic one has, as anyone can do their magic, but magic is more connected to the pony that can naturally do that specific kind of magic.” I said, giving my own view of magic, Faust seemed to smile at that.
“Good, now, how do view your friends?” she asks as a screen came up showing the ruins, the girls looking worried, Forest was relaxed, glancing over at me.
“Well… I guess that despite how much they can drive me up the walls all the time, they definitely have positives, Applejack is a hardworking pony, always putting her friends or her family before herself, Rainbow is definitely smarter than she lets on, and she'll stick with her friends and family before she gives into others, um, Fluttershy… there's definitely something about her that lets me just talk to her, letting me rant without interruption, she gives off this, motherly vibe i guess, Rarity is definitely a Canterlot mare, there’s no doubt about that, but she definitely takes her friends opinions into her works, especially with the Gala, Celestia that was a disaster, and then there's Pinkie… she's, she's just Pinkie, i can't describe her any other way, but despite her breaking every law of physics I know of, she can definitely bring a smile to my face and make me laugh in any situation.” i describe my friends, that's when my eyes fall upon Forest, he wasn't somepony that i'd consider a friend, but i'd like to be one of his friends. “As for Forest… he's definitely a mystery, and I don't think we’re on the friend tier of a relationship… I'd say we're more acquaintances, but I can tell he cares about me, even if he shows it in the most violent way possible.” I say giving him the benefit of the doubt.
“And interesting way to perceive them, but that's what i expected of you, now for the final question…” she paused as i looked at her, she seemed to be steeling herself for my answer. “Will you do anything to grow stronger? Even at the cost of your friends?” she asked, getting me to do a double-take on the question.
“Um… well, I do want to grow stronger, yes, but I want to grow stronger with my friends, and I wouldn't trade them for the world.” I answered, looking back at the screen, they were still waiting for me, and I had to go back to them.

"It's been thirty minutes, i wonder what's going on… oh well, she'll come out eventually. Oh, wait the others are talking to me now." I thought as I watched Twilight's crystallized form.
“--to her darling?” Rarity asked as i decided to listen in.
“You say something Ms.Belle?” I ask taking my sight off of Twilight’s crystallized form, she sighed in frustration.
“I asked how you did that to her.” she said with slight anger in her voice.
“I didn't do it, her element did.” I replied looking at them, they all seemed confused at my answer, Dashie even verbally expressing it.
“What the hay do you mean it was her element!?” she exclaimed, confusion clear in her voice, and her face.
“The elements aren't just some shiny rocks that you wear, they are sentient beings, and they can reject any of you at any time.” I explain before looking back at Twilight. “Her element is putting her through the final trial, if she passes, she will truly be the Master of Magic… but she can easily be rejected just as easily…” I say making them look at Twilight worried waiting for her to come back.
It took about another ten minutes before he heard a loud crack, i smiled as the sounds started to increase in frequency, I got up and walked to the steps and stopped there, the crystallized version of Twilight now sported thousands of cracks upon her form.
“Three, two, one, now.” I thought before the crystal crumbles away with the sound of glass falling to the floor.
She was slowly placed at the top of the steps, her arms now had swirls of pure magic upon her skin, which traveled from her shoulders towards her palms, which held a spiral design focusing into the center of her hands.
“Greetings Sparkle, I take it that you passed the final trial?” I say making her turn around, showing off her clothes, which also changed.
Instead of a slightly loose tank top and a dress-skirt that she was wearing beforehand, she now sported form-fitting pants, shirt and wizards robes, the robes color were golden yellow with accents of black, the setting sun displayed on her chest, her crown was turned into a circlet upon her head, the crystal still there, just smaller than before.
“I have… and I feel a lot more powerful… but in a good way.” she replied walking down the steps, we stood face to face as she hit the bottom step, watching each other's eyes intensely before she held up a hand. “From the setting sun.” she stated, i knew that phrase well, so I easily responded by taking her hand in my own.
“To the rising moon, forever shall you're path hold true.” I said grinning like crazy, she smiled knowingly, before we ended our handshake. “Now I believe you had a Spirit of Chaos to defeat, Master Sparkle.” I said sweeping my arm towards her friends, she simply nodded before walking towards them.
“Let's go girls, we've got some Harmony to spread.” she said gathering her magic, her friends gathered around her quickly.
"Twi, do ya have enough magic tah teleport all of us?" Applejack asked just before she teleported all of them from sight.
"I guess that answers that." I chuckled before holding my hand out for the sisters and Artimus, my other hand ready to snap my fingers. "Ready to see how a new master at work sis?" I asked, making Artimus smiled while taking my hand.
"How could i say no?" She asked in amusement before turning to Luna. "Well Lulu? You coming or not?" She asked holding her hand out.
"No, we must return to Canterlot at once." Celestia said about to place her hand on Luna's, but before she could, she placed her hand in Arty's and smiled.
"Why not, it'll be a good sight to see after so long." She said before being pulled towards us by Arty.
"Then off we go! Teleportieren!" I call out teleporting the three of us into Ponyville before Celestia could intervene.
We got there just in time to see a large rainbow come crashing down on a certain Spirit of Chaos, his panic clear on his face, once he was petrified again, all of the chaos in and around Ponyville vanished in a dome of color, resetting it to how it once was, it was quite the show, watching the dome wash over us, the energies they held was stronger than I felt when the elements were used against me.
“That was certainly something, wasn't it brother.” Luna said enjoying the feeling of the elements washing over us.
“It was, sadly I fear that this won't last, but for now at least, peace is restored once again.” I say closing my eyes before looking out over Ponyville, taking in the peaceful atmosphere it gave off. “For now, i don't need to worry, but soon… soon i'll have to interfere with the timeline… i'm sorry guys, but I don't think this will last much longer.” I think as I look towards the sky, it's sapphire blue color promising a false hope of peace, not that they'll know what the future holds for those six ladies.
“It's time, isn't it…” Artimus comments as i notice that the mane six have come up to me.
“Yes, it's time, for now at least, we’ll be released when the time is right, for the world isn't ready for our magic just quite yet.” I say using a variation of the teleport spell. “We’ll see ya in the dream realm Lulu!” I call back before she nods and teleports back to Canterlot, leaving us to the elements.
This particular spell lets me teleport one item to my side, it works for a long distance, and Canterlot is inside that distance, which is about seven hundred and forty-five feet or point fourteen miles, so i teleported my bag of holding, which I placed around my neck just before the elements fired at us, Artimus decided to jump into the rainbow laser before it hit me, petrifying the both of us, and so we wait, to be released to combat a threat that only we could deal with.

Nature and Ponies (A Displaced Fanfic)
The Dragons Come to Ponyville

“That took longer than expected, sweet Iomedae my wings hurt badly.” I think as I land on some docks in the middle of the night.
None of the ponies were around right now, but I could tell that it was going to be light soon, so I might as well get the girls up again, once we get a room and some food, i'm passing out for a day at least.
“Girls, we’re here.” I said poking them with my nose, Ova and Ruby slowly stirred.
“This place looks a lot different than at home.” Ruby commented as they slid off of my back towards the ground.
“I know sis, but we’re close to father, i know that for sure!” Ova said placing the bracelet on her, transforming her into a human female.
She was about four foot easily, her clothes consisted of a light grey shirt, a black skirt, her white shoes and grey socks were clearly able to see, her skin became that of a smooth heavy tan. I placed the necklace on me, transforming me into a half-elf female with black wizard robes, my pants were form fitting yet flexible, which in my line of work, makes it easy to get around in, my shoes were normal traveler shoes, i had a bag of gold that held about twelve thousand gold in it.
“Let's find a place to stay for the night, get something to eat, then we’ll find a transport to get us to this Ponyville tomorrow.” I say picking them both into my arms, Ova nodded in agreement, Ruby pumped a fist up towards the large metal structures.
It took a bit of time before we found an inn, or as the locals called it, a ‘Hotel’, the ponies here definitely don't remind me of Cadence or Luna, they were definitely shorter by a few inches, plus there were a lot of different coat colors, not to mention they are very… unresponsive to our appearances, they seem to glance at us then dismiss it as something else, even the mare at the counter in the hotel as we approached it.
“Welcome to Château de Berne, how may I help you?” she asks, going over a notebook.
“I was wondering if I could get a room for the night.” I say getting her to glance up, she sighed before going over the rooms.
“How many beds do you need?” she asks, she seems very bored doing this.
“Two please.” I answer, while the girls are looking around at the place, it was quite nice, I'll give them that.
“Okay, that'll be a hundred bits please.” she says, taking a key off of the shelf behind her, I quickly placed the amount on the counter, she handed over the key and took the gold. “You have room three twenty-five, it's on the third floor right side.” she said smiling a bit.
“Thank you, it's been a long couple of days, i can't wait to sleep.” I said smiling a bit, sleep slowly creeping into my body, showing my fangs, she just giggled.
“I hear ya sister, go ahead and sleep when ya get there, I included the carnivore diet in your orders, so you can get some meat.” she said before I went towards the stairs, Ova and Ruby coming up after me.
We reached our room and I collapsed on one of the beds, enjoying the comfort that it gave me.
“Hey aunty Fia, can we get some food?” Ova asked before I went to sleep.
“Sure, just enough for the two of you, nothing more.” I said pulling out fifty gold and handing them to her, she nodded before I drifted off to sleep.

“That was the best late night dinner I've ever had, and it seems that sis agrees.” I think as I sigh in contentment before looking over at my sister, who also has the same expression.
“That was so much better than rations.” she says getting me to hum in agreement.
“That it was… hey, what do you think will happen when we see dad?” I ask getting her to look at me in confusion and curiosity.
“I don't know, but I know for a fact that i'm going to hug him for a long time… I mean, three years, that's how long it's been since we've seen him outside of that weird dream place.” she replies looking towards the ceiling of our room, I nodded in agreement.
It has been three years, almost four years since we last saw him, and he disappeared right in front of us, it was insane, Iomedea himself even appeared looking for him, saying that he disappeared from his senses, which made us worry, because if a god couldn't sense him, he was in trouble, so we asked Phrasma, the goddess of life and death, she said that he was quite alive, but that she couldn’t find his location, almost as if he was fading in and out of the life force he had. It was worrying to say the least, after two years, we finally got word from Lady Phrasma that he was back in the life stream, meaning we could find him again, which was weird because he was apparently on the other side of the world, in a country that she never knew existed until now, which was odd, as this place seemed to be at least five thousand years old, according to my Lady, yeah, I'm a follower of Phrasma, anyways, when she informed us of this, we decided to travel there, we needed to find our dad after all, sadly, uncle Alex was already on his way there, so we couldn't come with him, something about a large unknown magical disturbance, which sis said she felt. So we traveled and earned gold by doing some requests, we earned a lot, which aunty Fia held onto, as we didn't want to spend all of our gold just yet, it took the whole year before we were even close enough for aunty to transform and fly the three of us, she flew us over the ocean for the following three weeks, gliding to rest her wings every couple of hours, until we came upon a large group of islands that had volcanoes on them, they were populated by what looked like young Dragonborns, as we've met a few in our travels, but they also didn't look like a Dragonborn, as their forms were too… soft, i guess is the word I would use, like the males, or what looked like males, were rounder than the males back home, then the females were too thin, no muscle at all, which was weird. They called themselves dragons, which aunty laughed at, i did too, but I think we were too tired to make any comments, so we slept in a rather large cave, the floor wasn't anything too uncomfortable, but the heat, sweet Phrasma, the heat that the cave gave off was excruciating, i was surprised we could actually sleep through that for the most part. After we met ‘Dragon Lord’ Ember, i still think that's not a real title, we left for Equestria, which leads us to now, in a room for a hundred gold, just after eating what the people back home would go to war over, and now talking about father, we know he's here, in a place called ‘Ponyville’, which is an odd name for a town.
“--hear me?” I hear, snapping me out of my reminiscing about what's happened so far.
“Huh? You say something sis?” I ask looking at Ruby, she gave a worried expression.
“I asked if you were okay, you just started spacing out hard, I've been trying to get your attention for the last half hour.” she said crossing her arms, she cared about me too much.
“I'm fine Ruby, just thinking about all that happened since dad’s unintentional vanishing act.” I said getting her to nod her head in understanding.
“Okay… just try to get some sleep, we’re going to need it for tomorrow.” she says moving towards our bed.
“I will, don't worry, besides, you'll just drag me into bed if I don't.” I commented while smirking, she just smirked back.
“Just get in bed you lazy dragoness.” she replied tucking herself in while I walked over to her and lay down next to her.
“I know, I know… good night Ruby.” I say to my adopted sister, she just hugs me and pulls me closer to her.
“Night Ova, don't let nightmares haunt you tonight.” she says before we both slowly drift off to sleep, with her holding me like a big teddy bear.

I woke up to a small light filtering through the blinds and into my eyes, making me wake up and block it out before i got up and grabbed a new suit out of my bag of holding, it was then that I called room service and ordered a big breakfast for the three of use, extra for me and Ova, as we need twice as much as Ruby or Emerald needs to eat. The smell of food slowly woke up the girls and brought then to eat before they got dressed and left the hotel, giving to key back to the mare at the front counter, it took some time, and a little sightseeing before we found a train station and bought three tickets to Ponyville, the train ride wasn't anything to go by, it was very boring, but I could tell that magic was used in this town almost instantly when we got off the train, I saw Ruby suck in a quick breath before Ova caught her.
"What is it sis?" She asked as she steadied Ruby, whose eyes were slightly dilated.
"There's a lot of domain magic here, and i mean a lot of domain magic, it's only two, but one is a lot more powerful than the other, almost too much for me to handle." Ruby explained, making me look around in worry.
"Which domains Ruby?" I ask as we start to walk away from the train, Ruby starts to concentrate on the magic powers.
"The weaker one is Void, very experienced Void magic, whoever has this magic is definitely someone we don't want to piss off." She says slowing down as we pass a restaurant, she looks over the ponies until she looks at us. "Brown earth pony stallion, wearing the blue and grey suit, that's the source." She says before we glance at him, he didn't seem all that powerful, but then again, Emerald doesn't look powerful either, and he can destroy everybody easily.
We decided to leave the stallion alone for now, but we needed to find Emerald quickly, knowing what happened when Ruby got hurt that one time is not something we needed a repeat of.
"What about the stronger domain? If it's easier to sense, then we could find out what to do about it." Ova remarked with a nice determination in her eyes, Ruby tried to concentrate but almost immediately opened her eyes again.
"I can't pinpoint the other one, it seems to be everywhere, as if it has more than one source, but nothing is coming up." She said before my vision was flooded with a pink thing that was talking really fast.
"HIMYNAMESPINKIEPIE! AREYOUNEWINTOWN? WHATAMISAYINGOFCOURSEYOURNEWINTOWN! CASUEIKNOWEVERYPONYINPONYVILLEANDIDONEKNOWYOUWHICHMEANSYOURNEWINTOWN!” the pink thing said in a single sentence before gasping dramatically. “IFIDONTKNOWYOUTHATMEANSIDONTKNOWYOURTASTES! QUICK! WHATSYOURNAME? CAMEWEBEFRIENDS? WHATSYOURFAVO---" whoever it was started talking very fast and very loud before she suddenly went very quiet, I could see her mouth moving very quickly, but she said nothing else, I quickly look at Ruby, she is holding her left hand out, with a slightly annoyed expression on her face.
"Sorry aunty, but she's one of the sources, I can't do much about this other than to stop her from talking so I can concentrate." She whispered, which got me to notice a small ball that was fluctuating behind the pink pony, I knew it was an Orb of Silence.
"Do it, I'd like to know what's going on around here." I whispered back before looking over at Ova, she was all types of confused. "What's wrong Ova?" I whispered to her she seemed to be concentrating on the mare in front of us.
"She has dad's scent on her, but it's really weak, as if he wasn't here for a couple of weeks." She replies before twitching her nose almost unconsciously at the scent.
I nodded before looking at the mare who had seemed to stop talking and looking at the small glowing orb that was the spell.
"Okay, I've got a lock on the domain… or rather, domains." Ruby says looking over to me and Ova, I nod for her to continue. "It's a strange combination of Law, Good, and Arcana domains, it's mixed in a way that they work well together, but they're also different enough that there's something that brings them together." She says dropping the spell, I nodded before turning back to the mare in front of us.
It was then that I saw a wizard come around the corner and notice us, but she wasn't wearing just any wizard robes, she was wearing master robes . I could tell that she had some confidence issues, but the pure power she was commanding was slightly overwhelming to my senses. She came up to us and looked us over before holding her hand out.
"Twilight Sparkle, it's nice to see new faces here in Ponyville, i'm the newly appointed Master of Magic, if these robes are anything to go by." She says getting me to shake her hand back.
"Fia Goldenclaws, it's nice to meet a master in such a small town, I wasn't aware there was a new master though, who trained you?" I ask shaking her hand before disengaging from the welcome.
"I was trained by Princess Celestia, and a man named Arcana, i went through my trial yesterday." She replied smiling nervously, this got my attention.
"I'm sorry, I must have misheard you," I said while looking slightly surprised.
"Oh, well it's easy to missunder---" she started before I was inches away from her, looking into her eyes.
"Because I know for a fact that there is no master by the name 'Arcana', so would you like to try again?" I asked, giving a small smile as fear started to appear in her eyes.
"Well… that was just one of his names, he also goes by Forest Flare." She says, making me step back quickly.
"Right, sorry about that little outburst, I just don't like liars, but Flare is the best of the best when it comes to being a master, so if you were trained by him, then you truly earned those robes." I reply as both girls tense as they recognized their father's alias when he was out on a job.
"You know Forest?" The very pink pony asked coming up next to Master Sparkle.
"Yes, we have quite the history, we've been on many adventures and had many stories together, I'd be surprised if he hasn't done anything during his four year disappearance from home." I replied reminiscing about the adventures we went on together.
"Oh, perhaps you could tell me more about him, I don't know much, only that he's exceptionally skilled in magic. Say, think we could chat for a bit?" Master Sparkle commented, making me think about it before deciding that could be helpful if they were to be an ally.
"Sure, as long as you don't mind if we get something to eat first, we haven't been eating much while traveling, and I need to rest my wings before I do any more flying." I say stretching my arms a bit, the girls looked ready to explore, they definitely got that from Emerald.
"Sure, as long as you want to go to a party first." She replies, making me notice that the pink pony is gone.
I looked around to find her, only for her to be nowhere in sight, which disturbed me, as i didn't see her move, when i looked at the girls, who were looking at a small metal box on a wooden pole with surprise and confusion.
"Did… did she use a spell?" Ova asks, leaning over to Ruby, who shook her head.
"N-no… there was no matrix or even a glow that accompanies a spell… she just, lept into it…" she commented back making me look to Ms.Sparkle for some help.
"Pinkie isn't one to obey the laws of physics, all i know is that she's able to predict the immediate future and disappears and reappears without making any noise, no matter the size or shape of the space she's in, trust me, I've tried figuring her out, I'd rather not go through that again." She says putting up her hands in surrender, I just nodded, noting that she shivered a bit.
"I'll take your word for it ma'am." I said before we left the somewhat busy streets, It took ten minutes before we were coming up on a tree that also served as a library.
"Ah, you're a Druid, I guess that makes sense, in why you were trained by Forest." I comment as we come up to the door, she chuckles.
"I'm not a Druid, I don't even know what i'm classified as, besides a unicorn mare." She replies before opening the door, which gives way to a standard looking library and a stairways off to the side of the place, two small couches and three chairs in the center of the room. "Spike! We have some guests." She calls out as Ruby closes the door.
"Jasmine or Red Zebrican?" I heard a male call coming from the alcove off to the left.
"Zebrican please." She said as she sat on one of the couches that decorated the room.
"How many cups?" The male asked as I heard water boiling quickly.
"Five, one for everypony." She said as we followed her while sitting on the couches or chairs in the space.
"This is quite the library you have Ms.Sparkle." I commented while relaxing, my muscles finally giving way to my posture.
"Thank you, but I moved into this place about a year ago, I don't know who owned this place before me, but they had quite the collection." She replied while smiling sheepishly.
"Ah, I know the feeling, a Lich's library however is quite the thing to see." I say remembering the last lich's library I was in, it was enormous.
"Really?" She seems curious.
"Yeah, hundreds of shelves, containing thousands of books, tombs, and scrolls on any subject, going deep and physiological in each one, even the ones with magic in them." I say remembering some of the magic theories in a few of the books we found.
"Wow, that does sound impressive, i'm pretty sure that the Royal Library in Canterlot only has three thousand at least, so to hear of a library a lot bigger than that sounds like a dream come true." She says leaning back with a dreamy look in her eyes, making me giggle.
It was then that I saw a purple and green Dragonborn come out from the alcove holding a metal tray with a tea pot and five cups in it.
"Here's the tea everybody, sorry for the wait." He said pouring the tea with expert flexibility.
"It's fine Spike, go ahead and sit with us, I was about to ask a few questions about their home." Twilight said as she was handed her tea. "If that's fine with you?" She asks looking at me.
"It's fine, a master is open to all information that can be spared, but please, let's not get personal with the questions." I replied while taking a sip of my tea, it had a minty taste that was smooth on my tongue.
"Of course, so tell me, where are you from?" She asks as she relaxes into her seat.
"Well, i'm from Trin, while these two are from No'tash." I reply easily, she seemed confused by this.
"Really? Where are those places?" She asks while Ova starts watching Spike as he relaxes into his chair.
"Well, Trin is East of here, about… two weeks travel by air and sea, while No'tash is more likely West from here, probably the same distance, if not farther." I say thinking about the time it took us to get here.
"Okay… so, I would assume that you're their mother? Unless i'm mistaken." She comments pointing towards the girls who had started browsing the books she had.
"Ah, no, i'm not their mother, i'm their aunt, their parents died in a war a few years ago, me and my brother took them in, him being their father." I explain as I notice Ova glancing at Spike every few seconds. "Ova dear, do you have a question for the young man?" I ask glancing at her, she jumps a bit before sighing.
"Yes, I do… if you don't mind that is." She says look at the boy, he shakes his head.
"Go right ahead, i'm willing to answer any questions you have for me." He replies easily before taking a sip of his tea.
"Well, I was wondering what you were, because you look like a Dragonborn, but you smell like a full-blooded dragon." She says with her nose twitching involuntarily, he seems to ponder that question while Master Sparkle raises her eyebrow at that.
"Well, as far as i know, i'm a dragon, but i don't know much about them, only that I'm quite young, shorter than I should be, and that dragons can only breathe fire." He says listing off facts, but that last one caught our attention.
"Wait… what do you mean, 'only breath fire'? I know for a fact that there's more than just fire as breath weapons, I've faced all of them." I commented, looking at the young drake, they seemed confused.
"What do you mean 'breath weapon'? I've never heard of something like that." Twilight says making me look at them in confusion, Ruby decided to speak for me.
"Oh, that's just what we call it, it's basically any sort of energy that comes from the mouth, fire being the most common." She explains, Twilight quickly wrote it down on one of her notepads.
"Okay, so what are the others, if fire isn't the only one?" She asks in a scholarly but curious voice.
"Well, besides fire, there's ice, lightning, acid, sleeping fog, and poison. Depending on what type of dragon, such as chromatic or metallic, will also help find which kind of breath they will have." She says listing the facts her own father taught them when talking about dragons. "Now as for you being smaller than normal Spike, that easy, you simply aren't eating enough." She says giving off another detail.
"What? I eat enough, though sometimes I don't get to eat because of my chores or if Twilight suddenly leaves." He says crossing his arms in a childish way.
"Spike, a healthy dragon eats two times more food than a normal person, it's how they grow, that's also why dragons hoard large amounts of items, mostly gold and gems, it lets them eat without having to move very far." Ova says looking at the young drake with a concerned expression on her face.
"Two… times…?" Twi asks as she let's that explanation settle in.
"Yes, now Spike, you're around my age, and I know for a fact, that you should be twice as tall as you are now, and three inches taller than me at least." Ova responds before walking up to Spike concerned, he just seems to be spaced out a bit.
"Wait, what do you mean three inches taller than you?" Twi asks looking at Ova curiously, she looks over at me asking to show them with her look.
"Go ahead, show them." I reply as she nods, she backs up and grabs her bracelet lightly.
"Elimina l'illusione..." she says before her form flickers before she transforms into her dragon form, Twilight and Spike both gasp at this in shock.
Now that I see her true form next to Spike, I can see that she's right, he is smaller than her, by five inches, when he should be three inches taller. They seemed to be staring at her in shock and in Twilight's case, amazement and wonder.
"What are you?" Spike asks, looking slightly up at her.
"Jsem drak Spike." She says speaking in Draconic, to him, Twilight seems confused while Spike's eyes widened in recognition of the language.
"What did you say Ova?" Twilight asks, making Spike look at her curiously.
"The language of dragons, very few know it these days, only the dragons and the Dragonborns know it…" Ruby says while pulling out a book from the shelf before sighing. "Well, there's also uncle Alex, dad, and us, but other than that…" she continued before we all heard a high pitched scream of joy, said scream came from Twilight.
"A whole new language! I need to learn it!" She says before me and the girls face-palm.
"Twilight, this language is very old, old as the deities themselves." I comment making her freeze and snapped her head towards me.
"What do you know of deities? You're the second mare I've heard say this." She asks getting me to look at her confused.
"I'm talking about the nine deities that watch over the world. Why?" I ask looking at her, she seems to be connecting the dots on something.
"Can you tell me who the nine deities are?" She asks getting me to do a double take at the question.
"Sure… well, in order, there's Desna, the chaotic good goddess of stars, dreams, travelers, you know, anything having to do with the night, Iomedae, she's the lawful good goddess of honor and justice, things like that… then there's Shelyn, the neutral good goddess of art, beauty, and music, Calistria, the chaotic neutral goddess of lust and trickery… " I start off naming all of the nine deities I remember off the top of my head.
"Don't forget Lady Phrasma, the true neutral goddess of life and death." Ova says pointing towards me.
"Right, Phrasma, then there's Irori, the lawful neutral god of knowledge and history…" I say continuing the list of deities, Twilight was writing all of this down, she seems very interested that there were deities in the first place, Spike looked like he wanted to meet them. “Then there's Norgorber, the neutral evil god of greed and secrets, Asmodeus, the lawful evil god of pride and tyranny, and finally there's Rovagug, the chaotic evil god of destruction and wrath.” I say naming all of the deities of the realm, it was quite something, to see someone who didn't even know of the deities.
“That's a lot of people.” Spike says thinking over the names.
“Not really, there's only nine, but there are a lot of minor deities, and I mean a lot.” Ova says resting back next to me, I just nod to that statement.
“So the nine you just listed, they're major deities?” Twilight asks getting me to think about it.
“Yeah, then there's the two creators, who are like, the mother and father of the major deities, but I don't know their names.” I answer trying to remember all of the information that I've come across.
“That's amazing… wait, wouldn't that mean that the alicorns are children of the gods?” she asks, getting me to chuckle.
“No, they're most likely demigods, not really gods, but not really mortal either.” I say getting her to nod slowly in comprehension. “Let me guess, it's a lot to think about.” I comment, she just nods again, slightly slower. “Don't try to think about it too hard, it's not like you'll meet them any time soon.” I say stretching my arms a bit before getting up. “Now, I believe you said that there would be a party somewhere?” I asked getting her to snap out of her trance.
“Yes, that's right, Pinkie’s throwing you three a welcome party, we better get going, because one doesn't just not arrive to a Pinkie party.” she says getting up and starts stretching.
"Then let us enjoy this party." I say following Twilight out of her house towards a building that was made of sweets, Spike and Ova were speaking along the way, getting to know each other.
"Well, here we are, Sugarcube Corner, this is where Pinke both lives and works, she's the only employee." Twilight says opening the door to the building.
"Is it weird that I have a strange instinct to eat the roof?" Ruby asks as we just look at it.
"If it is, then i'm weird too, cause that roof looks delicious." Ova responds, not taking her eyes off of the roof.
"No, it's not weird, I had the same thought when I first came here." Twilight says leaning on the door frame. "Now get in here, you don't want to be late." she says entering the building, we just look at each other before entering.
When we entered there were ponies everywhere, I could see so many different colors and they were all looking at us.
“Hi everyone! Sorry if we were a little late, Twilight held us captive with questions.” Ruby says getting all of them to laugh, much to Twilight’s dismay.
“Hey, it's all good! You're here, and that's all that matters in the end!” Pinkie says coming up next to us smiling. “Now let's get this party started!” she says as a white unicorn with two shades of blue for a mane came up to a strange table and started to play music that got everyone enjoying the day.
We decided to just mingle, Ova and Ruby went to see what the kids were up to near the snack bar, while I found myself a seat in a corner, ponies came up and introduced themselves. I met at least twenty ponies before an orange earth pony walked up to me.
“Howdy, i'm Applejack, but y’all can call me AJ.” she says, shaking my hand.
“Nice to meet you AJ, i'm Fia Goldenclaws, those two troublemakers are Ruby and Ova Goldeneyes, my nieces.” I say pointing to the girls who were talking to three fillies and Spike.
“Nice ta meetcha' too Fia, i'm the co-owner of Sweet Apple Acres, the best place to get your apples, the little filly with the bow in her mane is my little sister Apple Bloom.” she says pointing in the same direction i did. “By the way, how do ya like Ponyville so far?” She asks getting me to think about it so far.
“I don't know, I haven't been around this town enough to get a good opinion on it, but the ponies are nice, and Twilight is quite the bookworm, asking the important questions while we talked, but i think i shattered her view on the world.” I say looking around at all of the friendly faces I've met or are no doubt going to meet.
“Well, I guess that makes sense, but if you need a tour, just let me or Pinkie know, the two of us know this town like the back of our hands.” she says before waving goodbye after I nod.
“Well brother… as you've always said, you've got to sing at least one song at every party. Looks like you've rubbed off on me.” I think as I walked onto the stage and grabbed the microphone.
“Hello everyone! How's the party so far?” I ask getting everyone's attention, they just cheer loudly, making me smile. “That's good, that's good. Now, I guess i'm going to be doing a small family tradition my brother created and sing a song for all of you.” I say, hoping that they'll let me sing just one song.
“Then let's hear it!” a cyan pegasus called out, getting others to agree with that statement, I just smiled a bit.
“Okay, okay, now listen to this.” I say just as the music starts.

"Through the shadows I rise, in the battles I rage, like an eagle I fly, higher each day. So alive, on fire, hot-wired, i'm a rocket on a one way flight! I know the moment is mine, tonight I fight." The ponies were now all joining in singing along with me, which brought a smile to my face as I continued.

"If i'm only getting one shot, i'm gonna set this world in flames, everybody will remember my name~!” everyone looked surprised at her sudden entrance to the song, but like she and her sister did with their father i expected it. “Turn up the lights! Show me the stage! Throw me that mic, I'll go all day~! This is my time, my time to shine. Count it on down, spark that fuse! Mark my words: front page news~! This is my time, my time to shine, watch me shine, watch me shine~, watch me shine~! Watch me, yeah watch me shine!" She sang finishing the song before everyone started clapping and demanding another song to which Ruby graciously accepted before I jumped off stage and headed to the snack table.
I saw Twilight and the cyan girl talking with a white unicorn mare and a butter yellow pegasus mare, Twilight noticed me as I came up behind them.
"Ah, hey there Fia, that was quite the performance you gave, I didn't even know you had a good singing voice." She says just as the others notice me near them.
"Thanks Twilight, but i'm not a performer, that title goes to my brother, he always sang and danced at any party he was invited to, or if he was asked to perform for the audience." I say getting a cup of punch with a cupcake.
"Really? I'm guessing that he did well?" She asks getting me to chuckle.
"If you count getting five hundred bits every performance at least well, then yeah, he did well." I say getting them to look at me shocked.
"Five hundred a performance at least! Where was he playing!?" The cyan girl asked, getting my smile to weaken just a bit.
"Wherever he could, music was one of the things that brought hope to anyone in times of war." I replied, my eyes slightly glazing over from the war we were in not too long ago, the same war that took many lives and gave me my two wonderful nieces.
"A war? What kind of war?" The cyan mare asked, getting the others to look at her with a flat stare.
"The twenty year war, it was the bloodiest time for No'tash, it took a while, even with us added to the resistance army, but that's a story for a later date." I replied shaking my head out of the trance just as Ova came up behind me.
"Aunty, I've found his scent, but it's surrounded by domain magic, a lot of it." She says picking up a punch glass, looking at me then the girls.
"Oh, are you searching for somepony?" Twilight asked getting me to nod both at her question and Ova's statement. "Who is it?" She asks, letting me look right at her.
"Sorry, but I can't tell you, Ova, if he's near, then so is the counterpart, who no doubt has the item we need, sniff her out." I ordered her, she nodded and slipped back into the crowd, disappearing from our sight.
"Whoa, she's good." Pinkie said looking over the heads of others.
"Of course she is, she was trained as a Rouge to slip into crowds and blend in ever since we took her in, you'd be surprised what people say when they think no one is listening in." I say grinning a bit at their wary reaction. "Don't worry, we don't use this against friends, mostly just random people or others who think too highly of themselves and brag a bit too much.” I say calming them down slightly.
“That's still not very nice darling, it's bad to spread rumors about others.” the white mare said, getting the yellow pegasus to agree.
“While that may be true, these aren't rumors, they’re facts, we just happen to have a special ear to listen in on them when others think no one is near.” I reply having my ear twitch before listening in on a conversation with the girls and Spike. “and speaking of ears, mine say that you might want to stop your sister and her friends before they try the lemonade, it's got alcohol in it thanks to rainbow hair here.” I say pointing to the girls walking towards the other end of the table, towards the spiked lemonade.
“Oh, my, Sweetie Belle!” The white unicorn quickly rushed up to the group before they got the lemonade, the others just looked at the cyan with a disappointed gaze.
“Hehehe… I didn't think anypony would noti-Ow!” she said before getting pulled into the kitchen by Twilight by the ear.
“We’ll be right back, please, continue to enjoy the party.” she said before disappearing into the back herself, I just shook my head at the antics of these ponies.
“Well, now with that out of the way, I suppose I should continue my search, hopefully the girls found something by now.” I say before leaving the yellow pegasus where she stood.
To say the party was eventful was an understatement, the full swing of the party didn't happen until five hours later, when the kids tired themselves out, I myself didn't remember much about it, besides the fact that I was able to drink all of Ponyville under the table and stay standing for a good half hour before passing out for good. So to say I was confused when I woke up with the yellow pegasus and the white unicorn sleeping in the same bed with me, was something I would say describes the internal freak-out I had after I woke up completely justifiable, I just wish I could remember more than the stupid drinking competition so I could remember how I ended up in bed with the two mares who were using me as a giant teddy bear, to be honest, it was adorable to see them like this… now what happened at that party…

What is the true meaning of Family? Can we truly find it no matter where we are?

It's been like that for a few months since I came to Equestria now, i haven't found either of my siblings yet, but i'll find them eventually, Cadence actually got the training down within two months, she's very talented with this kind of stuff, we even got through the cantrips, first level, and second level spells easily, we were training one the last of the third level wizard spells that I was willing to teach her, there was no way in the nine hells that I was ever going to teach her necromancy, it was during this time when she asked me something that changed my view on her forever, it went like this.
We were in the cave, I cleaned it up a lot in the months of staying there, it now felt more like a small cozy home than a wild cave, we were practicing the spell 'Tail Strike' for a while when we decided to take a break, we knew a lot about each other by now and everything was fine, Celestia and Luna haven't found me or my cave yet, trust me, i'd know if they did, so everything was fine, that's when she asked the question.
"Master, what do you see me as?" She asks, getting me to look at her curiously.
"That depends on what you mean Cadence, for one can see you in many different ways." I say, I've been getting really good at wise person talk.
"I mean, as a pony, not as your student, but as a family member." She asks, getting me to look at her surprised.
"Why the sudden interest?" I ask her, she brings her knees towards her face and starts crying a little.
"I guess that it's just that, I don't really have a family, i have aunty Tia and aunty Luna sure, but other than that, i'm alone, and when we started training, when you taught me your magic, I couldn't help but feel a connection, like there was something in you that brought me closer to you, and you always stood by my side in training, went through the motions with me, healed me when i injured myself, heck, you even laughed when I got worried about you after a misfire of a spell, telling me that you were fine and it was nothing but a scratch. You took care of me even when you knew you'd get nothing in return, I started to see you like the father I never had, and I was wondering if you saw me as your daughter." She explained, I was at a loss for words, Cadence saw me as a father, her father.
The more I thought about it the more I saw that she was right, I did take care of her while expecting nothing in return, I did laugh when I got injured by her misfiring a spell, and healing her when she got injured, going through the motions of the spells with her, so she can know what she's doing wrong and know what to do right with each spell. I laughed in my head at that, knowing that I have been treating her like a daughter of sorts.
"Well… you are the only pony I know so far personally, and you're an amazing student, able to master spells that others would have taken years to master…" I start, I can see her physically deflate from what i'm saying. "That being said, you are the one pony who i would die protecting, so, yeah, I guess that i do see you as a daughter, Mi Amore." I finish hugging her gently, she gasps at that sentence, one because I called her Mi Amore, which I never did before, and second, because I called her my daughter.
"Thank you so much… Daddy." She says hugging me tightly, almost crushing me, but not quite.
"Anything for you my lovely princess." I whisper, getting her to cry into my chest, I just held her in my arms, letting her cry until she fell asleep in my embrace.
"Things are going to get more interesting now, but i hope you'll forgive me my princess of love, because I know that you'll be able to move on, when the time comes. " I think as I decide to go to sleep as well.
<<<???, Dream Realm, Cadence POV>>>
The dream realm is weird, I can attest to that, for this dream wasn't my own, but of someone close to me, it was dark out, i was in the middle of what i could guess was a small town, and it was raining hard, so there was no one outside, which was to be expected, but this felt deserted, there was also a large castle like structure down the road, I noticed three figures running down the road towards me, as they got closer, I noticed that one of them looked similar to daddy, while the second looked like a relative of his, maybe my uncle, anyways, the third being was a weird version of a Timberwolf in the Everfree, I could almost see the muscles it had as it ran with the other two, then just as they were going to reach me, three glints of metal came into my vision before all three hit the ground, the furry wolf tumbled a bit before slowly getting up, the first person, who i now knew was daddy rolled into the hit and landed on one knee, the other person landed face first and didn't get up, but started to gasp and gurgle, my dad went over to him and looked him over before crying, i was close enough to hear him.
"No, don't you dare die on me now, we were supposed to escape this place together, come on brother, stay with me, please." He said to the other person, who I now saw had an arrow going through his neck, tears started to well up in my eyes.
"Uncle…" I whispered before noticing that my daddy had pulled the arrow in his leg out and notched into his bow, before turning and firing at something, when the arrow vanished i heard a small yelp of pain and the sound of metal snapping in half, as well as footsteps running away.
"Damn it, I didn't hit the head… doesn't matter, I'll find that thing eventually, then I'll reap my vengeance." He said going over to where I saw him shoot and pick something up, a quick spell, which I noticed was a mending spell and he placed it around his neck, I saw it was a gold necklace with a weird eye in the front.
He picked up his brother and brought him to a house, at first I thought he was going to knock on the door, but he just kicked it in and went inside. I followed not knowing what he was doing, when I came into the house, the stench of death immediately came up my nose, I saw rotten wood all around me, and two rotting corpses laying on a bed off to my left, daddy went into another room, I quickly followed, watching, he laid down my uncle onto another bed and placed a blanket over him.
"Don't worry Silver, i'm going to heal you up, then we can continue leaving this cursed place." He said before going back into the other room after grabbing a small leather-bound book that i saw before and placing it in his bag, I also saw him grab two other books one was the spellbook we've been practicing in and the other was a blood red book that had a weird looking jar imprinted into the cover. "Sorry bro, but i can't heal you, and besides, you'd probably die before i could and Lady Pharasma would kill me for even attempting to step into her domain and changing fate, not to mention, i'm not strong enough to save you from death." He said before walking out of the house, I saw him crying on the way out, he and the large wolf left the town and traveled into the woods.
I collapsed into the ground as the scene shifted into one that had him looking older, much like he looked now, he was with a few humans, the wolf, and a weird being that looked like a cat and a female that looked like what he described about elves. They were traveling through a tunnel before my daddy held up a fist and everyone stopped, I came up to the front to see a bunch of robed and hooded figures surrounding a raised platform, on it I saw a small girl and a baby dragon, daddy looked mad, i never saw him mad before, it scared me, and apparently, it scared the others too even the female next to him.
"Emerald, you need to calm down, your wilderness side is showing." The female said before daddy took off and planted his sword into the closest figure, he seemed to wield magic i haven't seen before, he was tossing balls of fire, throwing lightning, even blasting them back with the wind itself, it was as terrifying as it was awe inspiring, the other humans had to stop him from killing the last hooded figure, who had his hood down and was shaking in fear, i saw that it was a human male, he was quickly handcuffed and taken out of the room with no resistance, daddy went up to the dragon and the female, they started shaking in fear too.
"Shh, it's okay, i'm not going to hurt you, no one’s going to hurt you any longer, I'll be right here to protect you." He said softly hugging the two, they both melted into the hug and started crying heavily. "Sis, can you help me carry these two out of here, I don't want to leave them by themselves." He asked, looking at the only older female in the room.
"That's my other aunty…?" I asked myself out loud as the female nodded before picking up the dragon and carrying her out, they both seemed to fall asleep on the way out, they reached a large tent and went in, I followed to continue listening to the conversation.
"So, what are we going to do with them, we can't bring them with us, it'll be too dangerous, but we can't just leave them here either, especially with the war going on." The highly armored male said, turning the attention to him, daddy and my new aunt were holding both of the children in their arms while they snuggled into their chests, still sleeping.
"I said I'd protect them, and i mean it, even if I have to die doing so, i'll keep them safe." Daddy said, getting a surprised look from the male and my auntie.
"I haven't heard you talk like that in three years… what changed bro?" My aunty asked, getting me to look at daddy curiously, wondering what she meant.
"I agree with Fia here Flare, you haven't spoken this carefree, or this determined, since we got here, what's going on?" The male said getting me to look at daddy even more curiously, wondering how long he knew these people.
"The war changed me Alex…” he said, the male now known as Alex sitting down. “I was born in Trin, you both remember the place, one day, when I was six, a disease started spreading into everyone in town who was twenty years or older, my parents were in their early thirties when it happened.” he started explained, they looked at him curiously, until it finally clicked, Fia placed her hand over her heart while Alex looked shocked.
“So they were affected too…” Alex said in realization, he seemed to know something about my dad now.
“Yeah, they were, they lasted a while thanks to me and my brother making healing potions for them… but they died anyway.” he replied, both of them looked sad, as if they never knew about this before.
“I'm sorry that you lost your parents… I guess that's why you didn't like the idea of going to Trin all those years ago…” Alex remarked, letting me know that it left bad memories in my dad's head.
“Yeah… one of the reasons… but there's another… you see, everyone who wasn't affected were brought into the fortress, where the guards said they'd take care of us, but every time someone got sick, they just threw them off the outer wall.” he explained, getting a sickened look from both of them. “Eventually i had enough, and i planned an escape with my brother, Moon Silvereyes, he was nine at the time, and we did, we escaped the fortress under the dead of night during a rainstorm, we were home free, but then arrows were shot at us, i could tell it was a werewolf from the scent.” he continued, pausing at the moment before revealing the truth. “It killed him, the arrow went through my brother’s neck, one hit me in the thigh and the last one hit Artimus in the side near her back leg.” he said, getting them to gasp at what he said, I just sat next to him, tears starting to come out. “I was able to fire an arrow back and hit his collarbone, but he fled before I had the chance to fire another.” he said getting them to look down at the ground in anger, as if wanting vengeance. “This is where I got the necklace from, it was the werewolf’s necklace, I've been looking for him ever since that night… but no luck… I couldn't find him, then i joined the party… and vengeance was the last thing on my mind, but still there… but I guess if I didn't go to Trin, I wouldn't have Fia as a sister, as I was one of the only people to stay behind and talk to her.” he said, getting another hug from my new aunty, before they both yawn, I notice that it's now night outside.
"Let's get some sleep, it's late and we're going to need our energy in the morning." My aunty Fia said getting everyone to agree to that suggestion and laid down on beds just big enough to hold them, and they drifted off to sleep, the next thing I knew, I was in my room with aunty Luna looking at me worried.
"There thou is! We were worried when our sister and we hadn't found you in the castle, where are you dear niece?" She exclaimed, hugging me tightly, then looking straight into my eyes, as if searching for the answer before I could tell her.
"Don't worry aunty Luna, i'm perfectly fine, i'll be back in the castle by tomorrow morning, I was just working on a surprise for you and aunty Tia and I ended up staying later than expected, that's all." I said hoping my partial lie would work, as I was working on something, but it wasn't a surprise for my aunts.
"As long as you're safe that's all that matters." She says hugging me again.
"I'm in the safest place imaginable." I reply hugging her before everything starts turning white.
"Looks like thou's waking up, we shall see thou in the morning." She says before the light gets brighter.
"See you in the morning aunty." I reply smiling before my world turns black and I feel a person underneath me, who's wrapping their arms around me in a protective way.
"Good morning my Mi Amore, how'd you sleep?" I hear as I sit up, facing the one male that treated me with kindness so far.
"I'm fine daddy, it was a peaceful but weird dream." I reply smiling a little, rubbing my eyes tired.
"Your tears say otherwise sweetheart, what happened?" He says brushing his hand over my cheeks, I could tell that they were wet.
"It's nothing… I just saw some bad things, that's all." I replied looking away from him, he could tell I was trying not to cry.
"Mi Amore… there's no need to hold back your tears, let them flow like the rivers that carve the land." He said hugging me gently, i started to cry into his chest, he just held me until i stopped. "Wish to tell me?" He asked as I had stopped crying, I just nodded my head before laying on my back on his torso.
"It was like I was in memories… your memories daddy, i saw uncle Moon, the night he died, I also saw aunty Fina… I think her name was…" I start getting him to laugh lightly.
"Her name is Fia, but close, what else did you see?" He corrected me before waiting for me to continue.
"Well, I saw you get mad, and I also saw a lot of humans with you, one was in this full body fancy armor, the other was a weird looking cat, and there were these hooded humans who had two kids like me on a table… do you remember that daddy?" I ask before noticing him grimace.
"Yeah… I remember that day too well, what remained of our party was helping Alex with his home war, we were tracing this cult that had been kidnapping other children in the middle of the night, we followed two back to their base, dealing with any traps that were in the way… I lost it back there… it wasn't my best moment, but it got me two beautiful girls out of it, so technically you have two sisters, but I haven't found them yet, but I do know that they're most likely with Fia." He said getting me to look at him in surprise.
"I have siblings!?" I asked sitting up in his lap, he simply nodded, I was overjoyed at this news, not only did i now have a father, but now i have two sisters as well, and an aunt who can beat up daddy if he makes a dumb decision.
"Yep, the dragoness is named Ova Summereyes, while the elven girl is named Ruby Summereyes." He said giving me their names, I was bouncing up and down at the news, I had more family, and I couldn't wait to find them, until I remembered what I told aunty Luna.
"I have to go daddy, aunty Tia and aunty Luna are waiting for me back at the castle." I said hugging him tightly.
"Of course my Mi Amore, i wouldn't want to keep them waiting for too long, you know how Celestia can get." He replies, hugging me before I start to run out of his home. "Just make sure you come back soon, I wouldn't want you falling behind!" He called out and I waved back before applying some magic to increase my speed.

Suspicions of a Solar princess
“What happened…” I ask as I wake up, it's time to raise the sun, I do so before remembering last night. “Damit! He put me to sleep, and we lowered our guard! We have never lowered our guard before! So why did we!?” I think as I walked towards the dining hall, it was so easy for him to put me to sleep, as we entered I saw him moving across the table with Luna laughing, they seemed to be dancing with very graceful dexterity, they looked like water.
“What's going on here dear niece?” I asked Cadence as I sat down, I finally saw that they both had a full plate of food on top of their heads, which only added to the weirdness.
“Well… aunty Luna and daddy decided to have some fun while we waited for you to come in and eat, and all of that leads to this, which the goal is to keep the plate on their heads without spilling any of the food on them while dancing, daddy is really good at dancing, and aunty Luna has been able to keep up with him so far, but I think he's going to win.” she explained to me, I looked at the two as they started doing more fancy looking moves, until they ended with holding each others hands while leaning out as far as they could, before holding their other hand outwards, as if reaching for something, bowing out while keeping the plates on the tip of their noses, they finally noticed me sitting down at the table.
“Ah, sister, when did thou come in?” Luna asked as Flare jumped off the table and started helping her down, irritating me to no end.
“Just a few minutes ago sister, I've already been told what had happened from our darling niece Cadenza.” I answer as they sit in their seats, clearly catching their breaths.
“Alright, let's start breakfast, i'm famished after that little dance.” the male says as the waiters come out, as if summoned.
Breakfast went by quickly, the male and Cadenza finished first, almost disappearing by the speed they ran out, surprising both me and Luna at the speed, but that was fine with me, I needed to talk to my sister for a moment anyways.
“Sister, does thou have a moment? We wish to talk with thou about something important.” I say as Luna was about to get up, she stops and sits back down curiously.
“What do thou wish to talk about sister?” she asks leaning and the table and putting her hands in front of her face.
“Well… what does thou know of the male who thou spends time with.” I say getting her to lift one eyebrow at the statement. “We know nothing about him, only that he ist male, that's it.” I say getting her to look at me in surprise.
“That is odd… he must really not trust thou sister, if he has not given thou his name…” she says leaning back, a thoughtful expression, as if something was on her mind. “Though we suppose it has to do with thou trying to cast his magic without his acceptance to teach thou, like he did with me and our niece Cadenza.” she says as if stating a fact before getting up from her seat.
“How did thou know about that?” I ask shocked, Luna just looks at me with a deadpan stare before gesturing to herself.
“Princess of thee Night, take a guess how we know sister.” she says before leaving the same way Cadenza and the male left.
I slump down in my seat as the waiters take our dishes and leave me to myself and the silence. I just think of everything that has happened since that male came into the castle, Cadenza slowly started spending less and less time with me, especially when i'm trying to get her ready to be an alicorn, not to mention, Luna has been spending more time with the male, I think she might have a crush on him, but they seem so close already, so maybe they're already dating, which is going to be heartbreaking for her once he dies, which won't be long, considering how long a stallion lives nowadays, I decided that I should continue to watch him, just in case, but I can't do it on my own so i'm going to have my spy do it for me, i enter the court of the sun an hour ahead of time, and summon my spy.
“You called princess?” I hear from behind my throne, it was my spy, only he would sneak up behind me like that.
“Yes, we need thou to watch somepony for us, thee stallion that my sister has brought to the castle, watch him, find out anything thou can, just don't get caught.” I say before looking at the time, it was ten minutes until court began.
“Of course princess, I'll report what I find every two weeks.” he replied before vanishing from my senses.
“Now… I wait…” I think just as court started and the nobles came in.
It took until four in the afternoon for the court to end, which I was glad, i was finally away from the nobles, their petitions and complaints were starting to give me a headache, I decided to go into the gardens, as it was always peaceful and quiet there, upon reaching it, i see my mentor, Starswirl the Bearded, and the male meditating in front of each other, both of them not moving.
"Good afternoon master." I say walking up to the two.
"Good afternoon Celestia... care to join us? It's quite relaxing... this meditation, this young colt showed me, my mind has... never been clearer." he says slowly, as he draws breath during his meditation.
"Im fine Starswirl, i just finished day court, so i don't need to do anything." I reply smiling a bit before glaring at the male, I still didn't know anything about him.
"Celestia, you're irritated, come sit and relax... let the sounds of the wild take control..." the male said, getting me to look at him in shock.
"I said I'm fine." I say before stomping away from the two stallions.

“Alex~!” I heard a voice call as I sat up from my sleep, I didn't go into Emerald’s shared dream last night, as I was too exhausted to talk to them, and I couldn't feel Emerald’s presence in the dream anyways.
“Mhhmm?” I ask as my head turns to the side to look at my new roommate Midnight.
“Come on you lazy colt, we've got breakfast ready and then we’re going to work.” she says standing in the doorway, she has a jacket and pants on, with a long sleeve shirt that looks like it's made of wool on.
“I'll be out in a second Midnight, I just need to adjust my armor.” I say as I sit up in bed, the blanket sliding off my bare chest, immediately making the cold cling to my skin and making me shiver.
“O-okay, just… h-hurry up Alex, there's some new c-clothes for you on the d-dresser.” she says blushing like wild, I just nod, letting her rush away from my door.
“Dreamless sleep again… I wonder what will come after my life this time.” I think as I get out of bed and put on some fresh clothes that Midnight had brought in yesterday.
You see, anytime I didn't go into that shared dream of Emerald’s, I would have a dreamless sleep or a memory dream, usually from my own perspective. Now I've come to realize that usually a good five hours after I wake up from a dreamless sleep, something bad happens and I have to fight it. This time I'm hoping that it's nothing too bad, after all I just got into civilization. Anyways, I go about checking my armor, and putting it on piece by piece and then checking my weapons, sharpening my blades so they can cut down whatever I'll be facing better. After that i came out of my room and into the kitchen where i saw Midnight and a tan earth pony mare with a silver mane and tail, and I could just see her pink eyes from the angle i was at, Midnight noticed me immediately.
“Ah, there you are Alex, I hope you like raspberry pancakes.” she said smiling, also gaining the other mare’s attention which quickly switches from her to me as I walk up to her.
“Hey Midnight, sorry if i took a bit, my wakizashi needed to be sharpened, and my arrows too.” i say as i sit down, she simply nods before noticing the other mare that is staring at me.
“Ah right, Alex this is Silver Steel, Black Steel’s daughter, my best friend here in the village.” she introduced the mare, who started to look at me suspiciously.
“Greetings Ms.Silver, I'm Alex, and Nova’s letting me crash here until I can find my friends.” I say as I sit across from Midnight, she studies me a bit longer before sighing.
“It's nice to meet you Alex, it's rare for anyone to be outside the barrier unless they’re from border patrol like Mid here, speaking of which, how long were you out there for?” she asks leaning up against the counter, Mid’s ears perk up at the question.
“Yeah, I've been meaning to ask that too, I just didn't have time.” she says before both pairs of eyes settle on me.
“About a week and a half, I originally came here to look for a magical disturbance that's been fluctuating recently, it pointed me just east of here, a few others are also here, but they're on a different mission.” I reply casually, shrugging my shoulders, they look at me like I'm crazy.
“A week and a half!? How did you survive the blizzard?” Midnight asks as she leans towards me, it was definitely curious.
“Mostly luck, I was able to find a few caves west of this place that are just about a day’s travel apart, I was able to hole up in those for my time in the tundra, until Midnight here found me.” i explain to them before starting to eat the pancakes that have been set before me.
“So much better than rations…” I think as I eat the fluffy goodness that's before me.
“Interesting, so you slept in the Eastern Jaw for a week and a half… I'm surprised you aren't dead.” Silver exclaimed while leaning against the counter next to the stove.
“Why is that surprising?” I ask looking up at her curious.
“Because when anypony who goes into the Eastern Jaw, they are mauled within the first two days by Crystal Wolves.” she explains, making me remember seeing a small pack of shimmering wolves go past the cave i was in during my fourth day in this storm.
“Yeah, i think i saw a small pack run by one of the caves i was staying in, i thought it was just a trick of the light at first.” I say leaning back in the chair, they looked terrified.
“You… you were t-that close to a p-pack?” Silver asked, I could see them trembling.
“Yeah, but that was days ago, I doubt I'll see them again.” I reply waving off their concerns, they seem to calm down just a bit before a small bell is heard, gaining our attention.
“Oh shoot, I knew I was forgetting something! Come on Alex, we've got to go, or we’ll be late for our shift.” she says before grabbing a bow and a covered quiver by the door.
We quickly left the house after quickly saying goodbye to Silver. We headed towards the center of town, there were only eight ponies in similar armor and clothing in the square, the one in black armor seemed to be the leader. We quickly got over to them at the end of roll call, which had our two names.
“First Private Midnight and Private Alexander, nice of you to join us, you're lucky you got here when you did, otherwise you would be doing fifty on the spot.” a pegasus stallion said as we came up in line, Midnight immediately saluted.
“Sorry sir! I was just catching our new recruit up on how we do things sir!” she said in a loud voice that made it look like she was ready to take any order.
“Very well Midnight, you're given a pass, this time.” the stallion said, before looking over to me, i was making sure my blades were ready to be drawn.
“Private Alex.” he called out, making me look up.
“Yes sir?” i asked looking at him, he definitely was curious.
“What are you doing private?” he asked, walking closer to me, I could see he was watching my hands as they worked on autopilot.
“Just double checking my blades sir.” I replied calmly before looking back down at my weapons, everything seemed to be in order, ready for anything that should come my way.
“I don't think you'll need four weapons. Private, most of us only have one or two.” he said making everyone notice my bow and quiver along with my three swords.
“Trust me sir, when you've gone through what I've gone through, you'd know it'd be best to be prepared for everything.” I replied by making sure my bow was good, it was a little stiff, but nothing like a few arrows to fix that.
As I placed my bow back next to my quiver, I heard a snort, looking over I saw a unicorn with a simple short sword and buckler shield, he was glancing over at me while trying not to laugh.
“What's so funny?” I ask looking right at him, he just chuckles once more then looks right at me.
“You say that as if you've been in combat before, which I can tell you haven't, your hands a fidgety, meaning you're nervous.” he said and I could tell he was trying to get under my skin, but I knew my hands were fidgeting for a different reason.
“I've been through wars, I killed thousands, I've saved just as many, and I've faced the end of the world itself, what have you done compared to that?” I asked, everyone started to get quiet, as I was issuing a challenge.
“I've defended this town for seven years, defended Canterlot for six, and faced down threats like you wouldn't believe.” he replied, getting me to chuckle as everyone looked back at me.
“Have you faced down any gods?” I ask, getting him to raise his eyebrow. “Thought so, I've faced the god of destruction and wrath and lived, and not many can make that claim.” I say getting him to scoff at that.
“Enough, you can have your ego contest at a later date, for now, we must secure the village perimeter.” the Master Sergeant said, gaining our attention. “Now, I want everypony in teams of--” he told us before a deafening roar pierced the calm atmosphere of the town, I immediately grabbed my wakizashi and ran towards the noise.
I could tell everyone was impressed with my speed and reaction time, but they soon realized I was running towards the sound and ran after me. I was about twenty feet away from the barrier when I saw the outline of a White dragon, likely an adult by the size of it, but it was hard to see with the blizzard. Everyone else came up behind me thinking I was scouting for whatever it was.
“Alex, what's going on? You just sprinted out like you were a stallion on a mission.” Midnight asked as she placed her hand on my shoulder.
“We’ve got a problem… a draconic problem.” I replied before activating my ‘Honorable Stand’ ability, this will help against dragon fear. “Midnight, take everyone inside the barrier, this dragon may be the weakest of the chromatic types, but it's also the most dangerous, I'll handle this in close combat myself, make sure every unicorn who knows any fire spells are at the edge, this thing hates those.” I say before the crimson aura of my Honorable Stand takes hold, as my fear disappears.
“Are you insane!? A dragon will kill you!” she screams, getting everyone's attention to focus on us.
“No it won't, I've faced dragons before, in fact, two of my family members are dragons, so I know their weaknesses, so just use fire spells, powerful ones, while I distract it with what i'm about to do.” I say before getting closer to it, pulling out a scroll.
This was one of the more minor spells I have, but against a dragon, it was extremely useful, and so I attempted to perform the spell ‘Protection from Evil’ and thankfully it goes off without failing or any repercussions, sadly the scroll burned away after the use, but a small white transparent barrier sprung up with me at the center, the dragon must have sensed the spell because it turned towards me and roared. It was trying to scare me with ‘Dragon’s Fear’ which failed thanks to my ‘Honorable Stand’, and now that I have it's attention I activate my more active skill ‘Challenge’ which will both improve my chances and make those fire spells a lot more effective as long as i'm in combat with it. I roared in response and prepared to charge, it's ice aura would definitely do some things to me over time but I didn't plan to be in combat for very long.
“Přineste si to na zarostlý ještěr!”(Bring it on you overgrown lizard!) I call out, getting the dragon to roar in anger before charging, fun fact: Dragons don't like being called lizards.
“Zemřít!” (Die!)it roared out before trying to clamp it's jaws onto me.
The dome of energy held as the dragon recoiled, it was then that streaks of fire hit it in the chest, while a couple flew past it. Stealing a glance backwards, I could see Midnight with about ten unicorns on the edge of the border. They all had their horns glowing and were shooting small fireballs at the dragon, looking back, I could see the dragon was pissed.
“No tak, ještěrko! Udeř mě!”(Come on lizard! Hit me!) I called out as I gripped my katana and prepared for a ‘Draw Strike’, the dragon roared and tried to bite down on me again.
This time, I moved to the side and drew my sword, my wakizashi was already on the move towards the dragon’s throat, and with both blades, I sliced clean through the neck and dropped the dragon where it stood, just as its head impacted where I was standing before. Once I was sure I had cut clean through, I twirled my blades to get any excess blood off and then put them in their sheaths. Midnight was already running towards me as I started walking towards the barrier, the rest of the border guards, I've started calling them that, followed her.
“Alex! Are you okay?” she called as they neared, I just smiled.
“I'm fine Mid, just a little cold, but that’ll go away soon..” i respond as she gets closer, the snow near the dragon starts turning red with its blood.
“Are you sure? It tried to bite you in half!” she said coming up next to me.
“Ah right, don't worry, no bite marks here, i’m smarter than that.” I say as the rest of the guard comes up, the stallion from before is looking at the dragon with wide eyes.
“Hey, what’s wrong man, never seen a beheaded dragon before?” I asked him, making him turn towards me.
“How are you taking this so calmly? You just fought a dragon for Celestia’s sake!” he exclaimed as he pointed towards said dragon.
“Because that's not the first dragon I've ever fought, nor is it the scariest or even the biggest, it was mediocre at best.” I say, shrugging my shoulders before walking over to the dragon and starting to pluck off his scales.
“Um, what are you doing private?” The unicorn who I met today as my superior officer asked as I used my katana to get under a few of the more stubborn scales.
“Just stripping it of its scales sir.” I call out as I start to place them in a bag of holding I've been carrying for occasions like these.
“Why?” he asked as I finished clearing about thirty scales cleanly.
“Because a dragon’s scales hold special properties when it comes to elemental affinities, such as this white dragon… its domains are usually cold climates with a lot of mountains… which means that this area is a perfect fit for that… it also means that the scales of the dragon have slight resistances against their own element… and because of where white dragons such as this one like to reside, its scales hold a special property to resist the cold, and… if the scales, when made into armor, and enchanted correctly, then that magic can be increased even further.” I explained as I continued to collect all of the scales I could.
“So what you’re saying is that these scales could be beneficial to us if we were to enchant them correctly.” one of the pegasi guards spoke up as I finished one side, I had about a hundred and thirty-five scales just from that one side.
“Exactly my observant friend, now if you excuse me, I will be collecting as many scales as I can, a hundred and thirty-five will only go so far.” I said before circling around the body before continuing to collect the scales. It was a hard and long process, but I was able to grab about four hundred and sixty scales in total. “Okay, I've got enough scales for a couple good sets, maybe one for everyone if i'm careful enough, but it'll take some time and hopefully the blacksmith will lend me his forge…” I say coming up to the group, the dragon’s body now unprotected started to freeze over.
“So what do you need private?” the commander asked as I walked back to the barrier.
“Honestly I just need the forge and a bit of time, hopefully i'll be able to craft scale armor for everyone.” I replied as we reached the barrier, I immediately noticed the head mare was waiting for us inside the barrier. “Mayor Nova.” I say as I pass through, she nods to me and looks at the bag on my waist, before looking me in the eyes.
“I believe that you have some explaining to do private.” she says as the rest of the guards pass by us.
“Of course ma’am, I will explain as much as I can, but that will have to wait. I need to go see Black Steel for something that will help the guard.” I say before walking off towards the forge, its smoke guiding me like a beacon.
I get there and it seems like every other forge I've seen in my travels, there being a wall of weapons to my right, and to my left was the actual forge, along with all of the necessary equipment that I needed to make this armor, and it was just my luck as Black Steel and his daughter came out of the back just as i stepped in.
“Hey there Alex, what can i do for you?” Silver asks as she comes up to me, her father going towards the piles of metal.
“Hey Silver, sorry for coming in at such short notice, but I wanted to ask your old man something concerning armor.” I said as he was about to place some metal in the forging pot.
“What can I do for ya lad?” he asks as he looks at me, the hunk of metal still in his hand.
“I was wondering if I could borrow your forge for a day or two.” I reply, making Silver cough in surprise while her father just raises an eyebrow at me.
“An why do ya need to borrow ma forge?” he asks, putting the hunk of metal down in its stack while never taking his eyes off of me.
“I wanted to make some better armor for me and the rest of the guards.” I said as I brought up the pouch of scales, he looked at me confused.
“Well I guess that depends on if you know your way around this place, cause if ya don't, then ya might hurt yourself or even others in that process.” he says as he comes up to me looking me in the eyes.
“I know my way around a forge, I made my own weapons and armor before, as well as rings and other small trinkets.” I say just before a familiar roar rips through the air, making me run outside looking for the source of the noise.
It didn't take me long to find the source, as it was just outside, it wasn't something that I wanted to face yet, especially since I wasn't with the others yet, and the guards here didn't know how to face one of these… my eyes trailed up the crimson red body seeing its massive broadsword that was crackling with electricity, the massive muscles and then its heaving chest, white flames were coming out of its maw in puffs as it chest heaved, it's great demonic wings were spread halfway out, and its curved black horns and piercing white eyes were very visible… the strongest demon was at this town's doorstep… and it was mad… the Balor was mad…
"Oh fuck me..." was the only thought I had before it charged the shield.

Hello everyone, today i have decided that after rereading this story a few times, that i'm going to be rewriting it entirely, with a new intro and story-arch to boot. Im sorry if y'all were waiting for an update on this or my other story: Magic Mishap, but i feel that i could've written this story better than i did, not to mention flesh out the characters used in it, but dont worry, the newer version of the story will be out soon, i've already started writing it and will be bringing the first chapter soon so please don't worry. Anyways, i will also be rewriting Magical Mishap as well, as i was a little lazy writing it, it will be out later as i want to focus on Nature & Ponies first, once im done writing this story Magic Mishap will be canceled and rewritten. Thank you all for being patient with me, supporting me and giving me great advice on story writing i cant wait to see how this newer version will do, but until then.
