Chapter 1: Experiment Gone Wrong

No this is not a crossover, and as far as I know it has nothing to do with the anime/manga Dr Stone.
Chapter 1: Experiment Gone Wrong
It was currently one AM in Cambridge MA a student by the name of Victor Light was working on an experiment that he was granted by Harvard University. Although Victor was only twenty-one with the appearance of a sixteen year old he already has a PHD in engineering and was working on getting his PHD; Victor favored wearing his matte gray headphones while working despite protests he had never gotten an accident, but as a result he inadvertently caused the back of his straight cinnamon colored hair to stick up, Victor’s turquoise eyes lit up every time someone mentioned something of his favorite, his somewhat pale skin which was a result of just barely getting enough sunshine was pretty much devoid of anything except for some freckles here and there.
However, what drove the young scientist most was his desire to create a new form of energy, one that was renewable; along with his headphones Victor almost always wore a lab coat that was off colored, underneath was a coal black shirt that he got from a concert of his favorite band, he also wore sand yellow cargo pants along with black and pink tennis shoes.
“Hey Vic. Vic!” A janitor shouted as he noticed the boy sitting in one of the library’s tables.
“Huh what? What time is it?” Victor questioned, looking up from his notes that he was too focused on.
“It’s one in the morning” The janitor replied.
“Oh...heh sorry, let me clean up” Victor said as he frantically gathered his notes.
“It’s okay, just make sure you get lots of rest. A young man like you needs it” The janitor commented.
“Yea, yea I know. It’s just I feel like I’m close to developing a new type of energy” Victor responded as he finished packing up.
“Well I hope everything works out, see you later” The janitor said as Victor quickly left the library he was studying in.
“See ya gramps” Victor said before leaving for his dorm.
The janitor chuckled, knowing that no matter how many times he told Victor not to call him “gramps” he never listened. However Victor was wise enough to at least meet the minimum vitamin requirements for his body.
“Kid’s gonna change the world someday, one way or another” The janitor said to know one in particular as he did his job.
After a somewhat short walk Victor arrived at his dorm room, to see his roommate was annoyed at the sudden intrusion of light from the outside.
“Dude it’s like one in the morning” Victor’s roommate groaned as he placed the pillow over his head.
“I know, sorry dude” Victor replied as he quickly shut the door and laid down in his own bed before falling asleep.
The next morning Victor woke up extra early to start his experiment which just so happened involved the sunrise.
“Alright, everything is set up; so this is uh experiment one to see if I could gather some type of energy between electricity and the rising sun” Victor said into the camera, he then started taking notes as the machine he had made and brought with him.
This particular machine was briefcase shaped with an extending bulb in the middle once opened, there was several test tubes that he was gonna try and use to hold the energy if his hypothesis was correct would fill up. As Victor watched the orb starting to spin he predicted various factors that could hinder this experiment a failure. However one of the few factors he failed to predict was a butterfly, normally beautiful and quite a sight, however right now it was like someone was tossed into a wood chipper.
“No!” Victor shouted as the butterfly fluttered near the orb, causing a bright spark that evaporated the insect.
Feeling like he was just overreacting Victor sighed but realized it was to late for relief as the machine he had built started vibrating heavily and with in a flash the machine blew up, evaporating a good portion of earth along with itself. Victor on the other hand wasn’t so lucky as started to disintegrate, causing him to scream in pain at the feeling of something akin to peeling the skin off of him.
What was left was a smoldering crater that had fragments of the experiment laying about.

Meanwhile a twenty year-old Alicorn mare by the name of Twilight Sparkle was walking, chatting with one of her friends, Rainbow Dash, a light azure Pegasus mare who was twenty-one, the two were heading to an off campus movie theater to watch the latest Daring Do movie when Rainbow Dash saw a bright flash followed by something white appear out of the corner of her vision.
“So as I was...Rainbow? Rainbow are you even listening?” Twilight asked in annoyance as she spotted her friend staring at some bushes.
“Oh uh sorry Twi, just saw something” Rainbow Dash replied as the two mares hear a pained groan come from the exact spot that Rainbow Dash saw the light.
“...What was th-” Twilight started when the two heard another groan along with some rustling.
“W-where am I?” The voice asked as Rainbow Dash cautiously approached.
“Rainbow what are you doing?” Twilight asked in a hushed tone.
“Shh, I think some creature’s hurt” Rainbow Dash replied as she made her way to the source of the groans, once there she started to ask who she though was a pony if they were hurt.
“I’m a little so...re...” Victor replied as he rubbed his head and looked up to see a light azure colored humanoid staring at him with another humanoid who this time was lavender was also staring at him.
“What the hell?” The three muttered as they looked at one another.
“U-uh hi?” Twilight asked cautiously as she slowly stepped to her next to her friend.
“Hello? Um what exactly are you?” Victor asked out of bewilderment.
“What we are? More like what the hell are you?” Rainbow Dash retorted.
“I’m a human...” Victor replied.
“Okay Mr Human, you are a Mr right?” Rainbow Dash asked.
“Uh yea I’m Victor Light...so who or what are you two?” Victor questioned.
“Rude, I’m Rainbow Dash, the fastest Pegasus mare in the world, and this hear is my egghead of a friend, Twilight Sparkle” Rainbow Dash introduced.
“Unless you’re some new species I’ve never seen anything like you before” Twilight added.
“What do you mean- wait did you say Pegasus?” Victor asked as he stood up, showing the two mares that he was at least six feet tall with Twilight, being the taller of the two being at the height of his chin.
“Yea, you know, pony with two feathered wings?” Rainbow Dash
“I know what a Pegasus is, it’s just they’re usually on all fours, don’t talk and aren’t pastel colored” Victor replied.
“Well here Pegasi are non of those things!” Rainbow Dash shot back now annoyed.
“Then I must be either dead or in an alternate reality” Victor muttered as he placed a hand on his chin.
“You’re about to be dead” Rainbow Dash snarled as Twilight stepped in front of her friend to try and defuse the situation.
“Since both Rainbow and I are alive then I think it’s only logical that you’re in an alternate reality” Twilight interjected.
“Yea, I’m starting to think that to, considering that we can understand each other” Victor pointed out as he sighed.
“So then Victor was it? How’d you end up here?” Twilight asked.
“Well I was seeing if I can harvest a new type of energy from the sunrise, I had calculated just about every variable except for butterflies” Victor sighed.
The two mares just gave him a confused look.
“You see I’m or at least I was a university student with a PHD in engineering and was working on getting a PHD in physics; even though most people think of me as a sixteen year-old I’m actually twenty-one” Victor explained.
“Oh so you’re in college like us?” Twilight asked.
“Pretty much...say do you happen to know where I am?” Victor asked.
“Yep, you’re in Rosebud Park” Twilight replied.
“Uh okay?”- Victor said a little confused -“Oh right alternate reality”
“Well I’d like to ask you what your world is like but Rainbow and I need to get going. Bye!” Twilight replied as she dragged her somewhat fuming friend along and waved.
“Bye?...”- Victor said dumbfounded “Relax Vic, you’re just in another universe filled with humanoid creatures that apparent can understand you while also having little to no clue where you are” He said to no one in particular and sighed.

“So do you think leaving what’s his face there was a great idea?” Rainbow Dash asked as the two mares crossed the street.
“Well to be honest no, grant he didn’t seem like he’s dangerous but on the other hand what if he is and wanted to wait till some lone creature walked past before he struck?” Twilight replied.
“Listen Twi, *sigh* if you want to go back we can” Rainbow Dash said.
“Yea, though I’m probably overthinking this I do still wanna know more about him and where he came from” Twilight replied before the street from where they came.
Chapter 3: Oh The Travesty!!!
After discussing the plan with her friends Twilight brought Victor to Dean Cadence’s office and knocked on the door.
“Come in, oh hi T-Twilight...” Cadence answered as Twilight walked in with Victor right behind her.
“Cadence, this is well Victor Light, I know he looks weird and you probably won’t believe me when I say this but Victor here is from an alternate reality, one where his kind lives” Twilight introduced as Victor waved slightly.
“U-uh hi?...So um Victor was it? What brings you here?” Cadence asked with a mixture of curiosity and fright.
Victor explained to Dean Cadence what he is, why he’s in there world, and was wondering if he could enroll in the college that Twilight and her friends were enrolled at.
“So you say you have a PHD in engineering and a Master’s in physics which you were currently working on getting your PHD in?” Cadence asked.
“That is correct” Victor replied.
“Well then...why don’t you show me a formula and I’ll see if it’s Master’s degree level” Cadence suggested with an amused yet smug look on her face.
Victor returned the smug look as he cracked his knuckles before asking if she had a spare white bored he could use.
After levitating a whiteboard and dry-erase marker to him Victor immediately started writing a formula. Twilight’s eyes lit up as she watch Victor’s hand move fast, creating equation after equation. Dean Cadence on the other hand was just as impressed as Twilight.
Once he finished Victor handed the board to Dean Cadence who’s face turned from impressed to amusement.
“This is the formula for toast” Cadence chuckled.
“Yea but you never said what type of formula” Victor replied causing Twilight to giggle.
“Very well then, Victor Light I hereby accept you into Ponylot University” Dean Cadence said as she shook Victor’s hand.

“Dude congratulations on being accepted in!” Rainbow Dash said.
“Yea, this calls for a party!” Pinkie Pie shouted as she yanked a large pastel colored canon from her hair.
“What the?” Victor said as he tried to process what he had just seen.
“Trust me I’ve tried to figure it out myself but It didn’t get me anywhere” Twilight whispered.
“H-hey every-eep!” a light yellow Pegasus mare started before noticing Victor and hid behind another humanoid creature who looked to be at least three fourths as tall as Twilight but with lavender and green scales.
“Hey Fluttershy, Spike what brings ya here?” Rainbow Dash asked.
“Heya Dash, Fluttershy asked if I wanted to hang out with you guys so I said sure...” Spike started before trailing off as he noticed Victor.
“Oh this is Victor, I know he looks weird but he’s harmless in fact he’s from an alternate reality” Twilight explained which just confused the young drake.
“Uh okay? But um what exactly are you?” Spike asked.
“I’m a human, in fact where I come from the world is populated by humans. But due to a failed calculation I ended up here” Victor sighed.
“Uh alright I guess?” Spike shrugged as he walked away leaving the shy Pegasus mare without a hiding spot.
“It’s okay, Fluttershy was it? I’m harmless I swear” Victor said as he knelt down to make eye contact with the mare.
“H-hi” Fluttershy timidly replied as she took the hand that Victor presented.
“So then darling where are you planning on staying?” Rarity asked.
“Well since all the dorms were filled up there was one other option...” Victor replied.
“Which is sugarcube?” Applejack asked.
“Dean Cadence said that I could live in one of the off-campus houses” Victor explained.
“Oh where, where?” Pinkie Pie shouted in excitement.
“It’s like a couple of blocks away, but it’s near a grocery store” Victor explained.
“Congratulations” Twilight replied.
“Thanks, but there’s still one problem” Victor said with a sigh.
“Which is?” Spike asked.
“Money” Victor sheepishly replied.
“Oh don’t worry darling I’m sure you’ll be able to figure something out” Rarity reassured.
“Yea, don’t give up hope” Twilight added with a smile.
“Thanks” Victor replied.
“No problem darling but we will need to get you some better clothes” Rarity responded.
“Why? What’s wrong wrong with them?” Victor asked as he looked over his clothes.
“It’s just...they’re not matching, not even a hint of style” Rarity replied as she tried to hide an overly dramatic dry heave causing everyone to bust out giggling and laughing.
“R-Rarity I think *snort* their fine” Victor commented.
“Oh on the contrary darling you have no sense of style, besides that lab coat looks like it’s seen better days, tell me when have you last washed it?” Rarity asked now serious.
“Uh like two weeks ago” Victor replied.
“Well then, tomorrow after classes meet me at Carousel Boutique” Rarity said with a wink and a smile.
“Sure?” Victor replied, while not knowing what to expect.

Victor had just gotten to his hopefully temporary home which looked to be two stories tall with the first floor being T-shaped while the second floor was L-shaped, when Victor walked in he was greeted to a flight of stairs that undoubtedly led to the second floor, the first door to the right was the kitchen, nothing really special, it was just L-shaped with an island in the middle.
The next part of the house was the living/ dinning room that also held some sliding glass doors to the yard.
“Might as well see what’s upstairs” Victor thought as he decided to ascend the staircase.
Once Victor reached the second floor he noticed there was three doors, two were undoubtedly for the bedrooms, however there was one for the bathroom.
“Perfect” Victor sighed as he walked in and started getting ready for a bath.
As Victor took off his shirt he noticed something on his left shoulder that was defiantly not there before, it looked to be in the shape of a Swallowtail Butterfly, the markings was also similar to the butterfly species but it looked like it was either a scar or a birthmark.
“What the hell” Victor said under his breath as he touched the mysterious shape.
It didn’t burn, or was painful, it was simply there but after all that had happened Victor decided not to question it and went to take off the rest of his clothes before filling up the bathtub and sitting in.

After finishing his bath Victor entered one of the bedrooms to see that it was unfurnished. The next other bedroom he entered however was furnished with a twin sized bed off to the corner, next to the bed was a desk that held a laptop, on the opposite wall was a TV that was next to some more sliding glass doors while on the opposite side stood a bookcase what really tied the room together was the square coffee table in the middle that had eight cushions along the side.
Victor turned around to see a dark velvet red collared coat with a sand yellow button up shirt, a black tie, and black dress pants. On the floor by the door was some black dress shoes.
“That must be my uniform”- Victor thought as he stretched before laying down in his bed -“I hope everyone back home is doing alright” Victor thought before turning over to sleep.
