Outlander

Twilight, Rainbow Dash and Rarity all walked into the map room of Twilight's castle “Who was that back there?” Rainbow asked pacing around the room frustrated that she had been humiliated by a stranger as if it was nothing but childes play.

“I don't know darling, but I must say whatever he is… he must have a lot of raw magic power to have matched Twilight's magic like that, and his weapon… I’ve never seen or heard of anything like it but and I must admit all of his movements were masterfully executed without the slightest hesitation, and his reaction speed was also highly impressive clearly well trained for combat… Twilight darling what do you think?” Rarity asked noticing that Twilight seemed lost in thought.

“I know this is going to sound crazy girls but… when he used magic it felt unrefined untrained, primal like it's the first time he ever used it in his life, but that just doesn’t make any sense I mean any unicorn should at least be trained to the apprentice level of magic skill but… this guy is has magic with as much raw powerful as mine so you would think he was trained to some extent.” Twilight said getting nods of agreement from her friends.

Spike came in and ran to Rarity’s side “Are you ok? I saw what happened form a window, you’re not hurt right?” Spike asked concerned for the safety of his crush.

“No need to be concerned Spike, besides I was not fighting that would be Twilight and Rainbow Dash so you really should be asking them not me.” Rarity answered.

“I know but they can handle themselves, but if I were there that guy in the cloak wouldn’t know what hit him,” Spike said throwing a few pretend punches into the air and even breathing a bit of fire.

“Spike you should never go looking to start a fight.” Rarity said, at that moment the door opened as Fluttershy, AppleJack and Pinkie Pie walked in.

“I saw the explosion from the farm.” AppleJack said.

“I hope no pony was hurt in the explosion?” asked Fluttershy.

“My pinkie sense went off to let me know there was someone new in town so where is he and don't spear any details,” Pinkie proclaimed with a massive smile on her face and speaking at a million miles a second as always.

“No Fluttershy no pony was hurt, just my pride as a princess.” Twilight answered feeling embarrassed that she had been bested by a novice.

Rainbow Dash jumps into the air and said “Now that the six of us are together we need to find that cloaked guy and take him down with the magic of friendship, just like the other bad guys we deal with every other day,” the rest of the group agreeing with what Rainbow had just said.

“So uh who are we looking for, I mean three of us just got here and don't know who are you talking about?” Fluttershy asked softly afraid they were going to be facing some kind of monster.

“You got a point we should tell you who're looking for, all we know is that it's a man in a hooded grey cloak with shadows covering his face all creepy like.” Rainbow Dash answered.

“Wait I met a stranger this morning while I was tending to my animals, he was dressed like the man your describing, if I remember right he said he got turned around in the Everfree, and he came from a very far distant land and wanted to be called the Outlander, he asked for directions to town so I told him but I couldn’t have imagine he was capable of that explosion, I’m sorry girls if I knew he was dangerous I would not have told him the way to go.” Fluttershy apologized.

"It's not your fault Fluttershy, how could you have know he was this capable of that kind of destruction," Rarity said putting an arm around her friend to comfort her friend.

"So Fluttershy you met this Outlander fellow, did he seam aggressive to you?" Applejack asked.

"No, he actuality was actually very polite and helped me carry some heavy bags of feed for my animals." Fluttershy answered.

"Twilight are you sure this guy is bad?" Pinkie asked "I mean he sounds normal to me." Pinkie added.

“I don't know if he's really bad or evil at all but I do know he was first sighted coming from the Everfree and nothing good has ever come from there," Twilight answered "So he has a lot of raw magic power he doesn't want any pony to know his name and where he is from… that’s not much to go on but I think I have seen a drawing of the cloak clasp he was wearing," Twilight said to her self going to one of the book cases "If I remember correctly like I normally do the cloak clasp was used by spy’s 1000 years ago in a cliff side fort on the other side of the Everfree. He might have got it there so that should be the first place we search for him, but before we go I’m going to send a letter to Princess Celestia letting her Know what happened this morning,” Twilight said getting what she needed to write a letter.

Immediately after the incident in town at the fort

“Well shit,” Rogue said looking at his handy work “That went to hell fast,” Rogue said to himself “What was that power I used… wait that girl used a magic cercal like in an anime… do I have magic too?” Rogue asked himself considering all the possibilities and implications of what having magic could mean.

Tacking a moment to clear his mind and nerves Rogue felt it just under the surface raw, primal and powerful Rogue look down to his feet and sees what’s left of his phone. “Ok there are two ways to prosed I go back to town and beg forgiveness or I try and teach myself how to use this magic… the second one is more appealing, so that’s what I’m going to do, let’s think how do they do it in anime... they clear the mind first?” Rogue asked himself again.

Rogue sits down, crosses his legs, close his eyes and begins to clear his mind “So what’s next?” Rogue said and when Rogue open my eyes he is no longer at the fort, but rather he is stood next to an ocean of lava in a volcanic landscape the heat almost unbearable. “Is this what my magic looks like… now I get it fire represents my power at its most primal, if I'm going to control this power I need to embrace these raging flame that represents my power without fear or I’ll never be able to use it at it's full potential,” Rogue said as he began walking into the lava.

It burs at first but as Rogue’s fear and hesitation was burned away the lava became a strong red light, and for the first time in his life Rogue could honestly say that he felt complete like finding the missing piece of a puzzle and finally seeing the full picture, because by accepting the primal flames that is his raw power Rogue was able to take the first steps on the path to become the man he was born to be.

Moments later Rogue’s crimson eyes open, silent unseen flames burning within them Rogue gets up his new found power flowing through his flesh blood and bone making him stronger and more resilient than a normal human, Rogue looked to his feet and see the remains of his phone Rogue raise his right hand, and focused on all the pieces lifting them up into the air and snaps my fingers, fixing his phone like new but just to be sure Rogue takes the Sim card out just to be on the safe side.

Rogue powered up his phone and it gives him a no Sim notice and Rogue touched the ignore option on the screen, Rogue put his newly fixed phone into his pocket then look down to the fort courtyard, Rogue focused on recreating the feeling from when he left Ponyvile and in a flash of red light Rogue was in the courtyard and no longer on the top of the watch tower.

Rogue looked to his left and could see the old training targets “Nice it's like someone or rather pony as the locals say left it there, just for me and I plan on making good use of them in the time I have,” Rogue said with a smirk. “Ok I think for the time being I should use spells from Skyrim, since I know the casting moves and what the spells do, so let’s start with something simple… the apprentice level fire bolt should do nicely,” Rogue said concentrating on using his magic.

Rogue stands in front of the target about 30 foot away from it so average mage battle range, Rogue raise his right arm close his fingers like a cage and made a fire ball in his hand, then Rogue extended his arm in the direction of the target and open his fingers. The fire bolt shoots from Rogue’s hand and hits the target, Rogue does this 10 more times, to make sure that he has a hang on how to use the magic and the spell.

Rogue decide to try the expert level thunderbolt spell not realizing the drain an expert level spell would have on his magic reserves at his current ability level. Rogue pints his arm forward, puts his thumb into his palm point his index and middle finger, and puts his ring and pinkie into his palm and fired the spell aging and again with more power this continues until Rogue ended up blowing a hole into the perimeter wall of the fort, the sun was going down when Rogue heard several gasps from his right, it was then that Rogue realized that he was not alone anymore.

Rogue turned to the right and could see 8 mares 6 of them he recalled seeing it town the white one started to speak. “I am Celestia co-ruler of Equestria and Princess of the sun, it has come to my attention that you have caused trouble in my kingdom, what do you have to say for yourself Human?” Celestia asked looking down at Rogue as if he was a peace of dirt.

“Ok first thing first, I didn’t do anything until she hit me,” Rogue said pointing at Rainbow Dash “Then she attacked me when my back was turned,” Rogue added moving his finger to Twilight before lowering it.

Celestia looked over at Twilight and spoke in a very low voice “Is that the truth Twilight?” Twilight answered with a nod and cast her eyes to the floor, Celestia turned her attention back to Rogue her expression becoming more friendly “It would appear that there has been a miss understanding, so if you just come with,” Celestia did not finish her offer before Rogue interrupted her.

“Didn’t ask, don’t’ need it, go fuck yourself,” Rogue answered before Celestia could finish the offer.

The dark blue one spoke up and said “We strongly suggest you reconsider that decision Outlander.” Luna said in warning.

“You shouldn’t threaten me, because I'll make it the worst and last mistake of your life?” Rogue said in an aggressive tone of his own. Celestia seemed to lose her nearly limitless patients with Rogue as her horn glowed and she fired a spell Rogue, Rogue dogged and cast a powerful thunderbolt spell at Celestia before the Lightning hit Celestia’s spell the lightning turned jet black with a white glow, when the spells hit they made a powerful shock wave.

Before Rogue could fire another spell Luna shot right at him and kicked him square in the chest knocking him off his feet and into a wall taking the wind out of him, Rogue slowly got up coughing up blood “Cheap shot bitch,” Rogue said catching his breath Luna once again shot at Rogue but this time he was ready and dogged her kick, but Luna grabbed Rogue by his left arm and throw Rogue into the wall on the other side of the fort courtyard.

“Stay down Human, before I am forced to actually hurt you,” Luna said as she watched Rogue rise to his feet again.

“Just who the hell... do you think I am, because I'll tell you who I’m the Outlander and I’m going to kick your ass for that,” Rogue said getting an idea on how to even out the difference in physical strength between himself and Luna.

“Have it your way Human, I will make you regret your own stubbornness and then I will make you my play thing,” Luna said charging at Rogue, Rogue dogged again and activated the magic in his flesh blood and bones to increase his strength and punched Luna under her right arm in the ribs sending her flying in the wall this time. Luna got back on her feet quickly “Impossible body amplification is an incredibly difficult, you shouldn’t be able to use it without any training.” Luna said in wide eyed in disbelieve that Rogue could use such an advanced form of magic on pure instinct even Celestia was impressed at Rogue natural skill with magic.

“I kick logic and reason to the curb and do the impossible, that's what I’ve always done and it’s what I’m going to keep doing,” Rogue said as he started discharging black lightning from his body without realizing.

"We'll take it from here," Twilight said stepping forward with rest of the main six.

"Someone out there must really hate you, because now your going to have to fight me and I'm not holding back this time," Rogue said facing the main six as he dropped into a fighting stance.

"Oh ye well it's six on one," Rainbow said flying at Rogue, but Rogue simply side stepped grabbed Rainbow by the face with his right hand and slammed her face into the ground before throwing her at her friends feet.

"Make that five on one, soon to be zero, now let's see if I can take down the rest of you without magic," Rogue said cracking his knuckles "So who's next," Rogue said taking a new stance.

"H-How could you do that to her?" Fluttershy asked going to Rainbow's side.

"Well I did warn her that I would use force the next time she tried hitting me, besides it's self defense she attacked first" Rogue said casually as if it was the most normal thing in the world to knock someone out before throwing them like a rag doll.

"You hurt my friend I can't forgive you for that," Fluttershy said flying at Rogue ready to fight, but as soon as she got in range Rogue used a pressure point to put Fluttershy to sleep without any pain, before Fluttershy hit the ground Rogue cough her and gently set her down.

That's it you varmint your going down," Applejack said using some rope to try and lasso Rogue, but Rogue dogged again grabbing the lasso and pulling Applejack off her feet towards him Rogue let go of the rope pulled his arm back and punched Applejack with his natural sending her flying straight into Pinkie Pie knocking them both out with one attack.

"I hate to say it Twilight, but we might be out of owe league with this one," Rarity said noticing that their friends were unable to fight meaning the magic of friendship was out of the question.

Rogue assessed his situation and was fully aware that he didn’t have enough to stand a chance against 4 opponents, especially since he estimated that he only had 20% of his magic reserves left which meant that needed to get out of this fight fast. Rogue looked down and spotted large cracks in the ground and Rogue came up with a plan so crazy that Discord himself would be proud of it.

“Celestia was it I got a wager for you if I can reach the bottom of this cliff without dyeing I’m a free man with a clean record, but if any of you can catch me before reaching the bottom I’ll do whatever you want, what do you say?” Rogue asked hoping Celestia was a willing to take a chance on losing some one with his natural skill.

A smile spread across Celestia's lips knowing she had good odds “I will accept your wager because I know there is no direct way to the bottom for miles,” Celestia said agreeing to Rogue’s terms.

The moment Celestia agreed "A word once given can never be broken," Rogue said focusing black lightning around his body into his right hand and punched the ground with all his strength sending his black lightning through the ground to the fracture in the cliff, as the lightning hits the fracture it goes left and right at the same time breaking half the fort off the cliff making it fall, the mares look at Rogue completely shocked at what he just did.

"See you at the bottom." Rogue though to himself.

16% power.

The princess’s jump into the air wings extended, Rogue turned his back to them letting his cloak blow in the wind, as the fort falls to the ground below the courtyard floor under his feet go's from horizontal to vertical. Rogue slides to down to the watch tower door and jumps landing on the side of the watch tower and then he runs up the side of the tower getting a look at the horizon as the fort falls.

Rogue senses movement behind him and puts his magic into his legs and did a back flip as Celestia moves under him trying to grab him with both arms 13% power. Luna try’s a more direct approach of landing on the tower and running up to grab Rogue, when she gets close enough Rogue wrapped lightning and fire around his right fist, and throw the punch in Luna’s direction sensing a spiral of lightning flame at Luna forcing her off the tower.

10% power.

Celestia is comes from behind again so Rogue wrapped the lightning flame around his right leg spinning on the spot, and kicked Celestia sending her back the way she came. Rogue looked over the side of the tower to see how much time he had before the fort hits the ground maybe a few seconds.

5% Power.

Out of the corner of his eye Rogue sees Twilight coming at him and quickly fires a blast of fire from his right hand spinning just enough that Twilight only succeeded in ripping the right sleeve from Rogue’s t-shirt off, with only a single second to spare Rogue jumped from the tower into a trees hitting a branch chest first, getting winded as the remaining falling half of the fort hits the ground and kicks up a massive dust could, Rogue used the dust as cover to land on the ground without being seen.

0% power.

As the dust cleared Celestia Luna and Twilight landed and were looking at Rogue who was now standing on the rubble that was a few moments before half a fort “Well played Human, in all my years I’ve never seen anypony or anyone do something so unexpected and walk out the other side without a scratch,” Celestia said with a smirk creeping onto her muzzle as she lightly clapped in amusement.

“Like I said I do the impossible,” Rogue said showing the first signs of magic fatigue as his magic reserves hit at 0%.

“The next time we meet in battle Outlander, you will not be so lucky,” Luna said issuing a challenge.

“The next time we meet, I’ll kick your ass so hard you won’t be able to sit down for a month,” Rogue said accepting Luna’s challenge for some time in the future, before once again turning his back to them and walking off as a free man.

"You truly intend to let him leave, ?" Luna asked looking at Celestia.

"I do, because I'm confident he will come to us when he realizes he can not survive on his own," Celestia answered confidently as she began to fly back up to the remaining half of the fort.

5 Days later in Ponyvile

“How could we have lost to the Outlander so easily?” Twilight asked looking at a chalk board that was filled with countless calculations that pointed to the fact the Outlander should have lost and yet somehow he didn’t he won defying the odds and doing what should have been impossible.

“I don’t know why you’re asking me Twilight I wasn’t there,” Spike said setting a fresh cup of tea on Twilight’s desk and taking an empty cup.

“I know that Spike, but it should have been impossible, he should have lost, he should be learning how to use his magic from Princess Celestia right now but instead he's who knows where doing who knows what instead” Twilight explained almost pulling her hair out in frustration.

“Don’t beat yourself up Twilight you can’t win all the time besides it could have been a lot worse,” Spike said trying to raise Twilight’s spirits.

“How could it have possibly been wore Spike?” Twilight asked having some of her tea.

“How could it be wore Spike?” Twilight asked having some of her tea.

“Your right… that is worse,” Twilight said in between laughter.

Meanwhile 5 days of walking in the other direction. Rogue is sitting in a corner both of a place called the Train Station inn with a cold cider in his hand, Rogue got it from helping the Innkeeper with some lingering projects that needed finishing. Lucky for her Rogue was able to finish the jobs for Rogue's help the innkeeper paid him with a free room and 300 bits for the quality of the work.

The Innkeeper tolled Rogue about some monster that where nearby and had been choking the towns tourist market, so Rogue was thinking I have magic I have a lightsaber why not be monster hunter and make some money “Sounds like a plan,” Rogue said raising his mug of cider and down the last of the cider in one mouth full. Rogue then got up and walked over to the bar “Can you get the innkeeper for me?” Rogue asked the Bartender.

“Of course I’ll let her know you want to see her,” the Bartender answered and walked into the back room. A few moments later the Bartender and Innkeeper came out of the back room and the Bartender went back to washing glasses.

Did you need something else Outlander?” The Innkeeper asked the Innkeeper was a fairly ordinary Earth Pony, with light brown fur spiky orange mane and tail and dressed in a casual suit, trousers and shoos.

“I remember you saying something about a monster somewhere nearby, I was wondering if there is a reward for its head.” Rogue asked.

“My sister is the mayor and she has put a reward of 500 bits for the beasts head… so should I tell my sister you’ve taken the job Outlander?” the Innkeeper asked.

“That’s right but I’m going to need to know where the last attack was and where the most recent sighting were,” Rogue answered and started preparing himself for whatever he was getting himself into.

“The last attack happened a few hours before you arrived the other day, just follow the road south from town you’ll know the spot there blood everywhere, and no pony who sees it lives… my name is Ginger Ale by the way,” Ginger said revealing the place to start looking.

“Thanks, that’s a good lead I’ll look into it right away,” Rogue said as he walked out the door and made his way to the site of the last attack. Arriving only a few minutes later Rogue realized Ginger was not lying, it was a massacre and there was blood everywhere, a cart flipped on its side and even small bits of meat in places. “Fuck me… this was overkill,” Rogue said looking around for any tracks that could be followed.

Rogue decide to look at the cart and pull it back up right the left side of the cart had been smashed but no blood, he then looked at the front of cart and notice a rancid smell that can be described as rotting corpses in pig shit. “Fuck in hell that stinks like a bog,” Rogue said noticing that a part of the cart had been chewed on and was thick with saliva that was the sours of the smell "If something smells that bat it's infected with something I'll have to make sure I don't get bitten at all cost.

“That explains the stink… and why the beast has bad breath, to find it I’ll need to follow that stink,” Rogue said putting a hand to his face to block the smell. Turning around and following the smell into the trees, Rogue was able to see tracks and claw marks in the trees so he stopped to look at them. “Looks like a large dog or a wolf track but, the front track is different ripped up by long claws like the claw marks on the tree,” Rogue said turning around to examine the claw marks on the tree.

“Tour clawed finger and a clawed thumb almost six feet off the ground… tall, wolf like tracks, clawed hands, walks and runs on all fours and up right… all the characteristics of a classic Werewolf which explains the massacre on the road,” Rogue said as he noticed the sink was getting stronger, so he slowly pulled his hood down and reach for his lightsaber and slowly turn around.

Rogue didn’t see anything at first but he could hear snarling and a smell that is almost unbearable, Rogue ignited his lightsaber and took a two handed stance, ready to strike as soon as the beast came into sight. A moment later the beast which Rogue thought would be a werewolf, was actually a reptilian creature with a similar build jumped high in an attempt to pin Rogue down.

Rogue went low lightsaber above His head and cut the beast in half as it went over him killing it in one move “That was close if I reacted a second later I’d be dead man," Rogue said taking a deep breath "oh well time to take the head and claim the reward I guess,” Rogue said cutting the head off the beast and returning to the town claim the reward.
