Chapters Flash Sentry is walking down the hallway, a pair of AirPods in his ears, listening to the newest underground heavy rock music that he finds on Spotify, wearing his fresh new kicks that his hard-working, two job single mother bought for him, all the while passing everyone down the hall with a swagger unknown to mankind.
Bobbing his head to the feel of the music, Flash arrives at his locker, opening it to take out his social studies book and notebook, along with a few pens.
After placing them all in his backpack and slamming his locker shut like a boss, Flash notices Sunset Shimmer, who just so happened to have the locker next to his.
Seeing her, Flash takes out his AitPods, turning off his music for now.
“Hi there.”
“Mornin’ Flash. What brings you to me?”
Flash blushes a little at that. “Oh it’s just... see my new kicks. Pretty sweet right?” Flash says as he shows off his new shoes that were most likely made in a sweatshop.
“They look pretty dope.” Sunset looks and sees Flash’s AirPods in his hands. “I see you got them. Tell me, does everything now smell ‘broke’ to you?”
“Oh, oh yeah. Oh yeah indeed.”
Awkward silence falls upon the two.
“Well I better be going. See ya later.” Sunset says as she walks away from him and to her first hour class.
Meanwhile, Flash dreamily still keeps his eyes on Sunset, taking his glance away as soon as she heads down a side hall. Thinking, just thinking about what it can be.
“If only she knew.” Flash says quietly to himself as he goes and continues on his way.
Doing so while he opens up the Instagram app on his phone, looking up her profile page, then taking the liberty to ‘like’ her old photos.

Walking down the hall, Flash sees all kinds of stuff happening throughout Canterlot High School.
Over to his right he see both Snips and Snail doing the water bottle challenge. Seeing Snails ‘hitting em with a dab’ right after doing a successful land with a bottle, causing Flash to roll his eyes.
Looking over to his left, he sees two girls both watching something on either one of their phones, smiling and giggling coming from the two.
Probably both watching a classic vine compilation.
Five minutes of walking later and Flash, in all his swagger, arrives at first hour Social Studies class.
Looking around the room, Flash can’t yet decide where to sit.
He sees over by the ‘girls that are so out of his league but think he has a pretty good shot with’ that there’s an empty seat.
But also there’s an empty seat over by where all his buddies usually sit.
Drawing a blank, Flash just strugs it off, instead deciding to sit in the front, where basically almost no one in the class sits at.
While class is just beginning to start, Flash feels his new IPhone X vibrating.
When the teacher isn't looking he quickly opens up to his messages, seeing that surprisingly, it’s a text from Sunset Shimmer.

After class, Flash started thinking. Thinking of Sunset’s latest text. The emoji she used. What could it mean?
Luckily, he had someone who could interpret it for him.
“Hey Twilight. How ya doing?”
“Flash!” Twilight runs to give him a big, tight hug right as soon as she sees him.
“Um, nice to see you too.” Flash gives a pat on her back. “So anyway. Was wondering if you could interpret something for me?” Flash pulls his phone out from his pants’ pocket.
“Uh huh. Sure.” Twilight breaks away from him, grabbing his phone out of his hand.
“Hmmm...” Twilight takes a good long look of the text. Analyzing the emoji’s meaning.
As she’s studying the text, Flash sees Sunset walking down the hall, right towards him.
Having a bright smile, she waves over to him.
Seeing her wave causes Flash to quickly look behind him, seeing that there’s no one there. Meaning that she is waving to him.
Returning a wave of his own (and trying to hide his blush of his), Sunset gives a bright smile right as she walks by, as she couldn't chitchat for only a little while.
“Okay. Um.., cool .” His blush reappears.
Twilight looks up from his phone to see the slightly red blush on his face. “Do you...-?”
“No!” Flash calms himself down after that recent outburst. “I- I mean, maybe just a little bit. But, why you ask?”
“Cause if I’m looking at this correctly, then it means that she likes you.”

“Okay you can do this. Just go up and ask her. That’s all.” Flash says to himself quietly as he walks down the hallway. Paying attention to no one.
Flash approaches Sunset at her locker.
“Say um. So you know the Halloween party is tonight and I was just wondering... will you be my “plus one ” for tonight?”
“Oh. I would love to. But Micro Chips already asked me, and for some reason I just couldn’t resist him. Sorry.”
Hearing this rejection, all Flash did was stare off in shock (and surprise).
“Okay . I’ll just be heading.” Sunset says as she walks away from the still shocked Flash Sentry. “See you... later.”

Of all people, Micro Chips just really had to ask her first. And if that isn’t enough, she actually agreed! Like, wtf!!!!!
Okay. This is fine. How I want to deal/solve with this is entirely on me. Let’s see, there are two options. Option one, go over and beat up Micro until he agrees to not go with her anymore.
Or there’s option two, which is ask someone else to the party and go the whole ‘jealous route ’.
Hmmm . Well option one will probably get me expelled, if not arrested so ...

“Let’s see, which other girl could I take for tonight? Not just any girl, but someone who I know that’ll make Sunset a little jealous?”
As Flash is thinking of someone, Twilight Sparkle walks right on by, big smile and wave.
“Hmmmmmmm ...”

“So I know this is last minute and all but, will you be my date? For tonight.”
Wallflower Blush just stared at the desperate teenage boy. Surprised by what he just asked her. Also she blushed. She blushed a little.
“Um... sure why not. Got nothing better to do.”

Second Chapter
It’s a beautiful, nice sunny day.
The air is cool, and the overall feel is you just wanna go outside and do something productive.
Or you could just spend this most beautiful day at the mall.
Which is what a lot of people did.
This time we’ll be following Micro Chips. A student of CHS that may seem to look and act cool on the outside but on the inside is all awkward. (It’s his nerdiness.)
From the start of middle school to now, Micro has seemed to notice that his whole “thing” isn’t gonna get him somewhere, popularity wise.
Sure he knows that it’s okay to be himself but he also wants to be the guy who everyone knows.
To be seen by everyone. To be player one.
So the reason Micro Chips is at the mall today is because he hears of a way that’ll make him ‘be more chill’.
“Okay. I’m here by where all of the cell phones’ accessories booths are. Now where is he-“
Micro is interrupted as he sees right in front of him is a large, hairy man. Wearing a gang green jacket with a black shirt and jeans, along with a net hat worn on the top of his head, black sunglasses.
Overall, the guy looks like someone who lives in a trailer park with his mom. The guy has at least five double chins, and you can’t tell right off the bat because of his long, hairy beard.
“Uh, are you, Ryan Hendrickson?” Micro asks the large man, a little scared.
“Yep. You here for the goods?” He says in an obvious stoner voice.
“Ah yes.” Micro digs into his pocket to pull out a big ol’ wad of twenty five dollars.
Handing it over to the man, the first thing Ryan does is bring the money up to his nose, sniffing it uncontrollably .
While he’s still sniffing it, he takes out from somewhere in his jacket an old shoebox, handing it over to Micro.
“So uh, thanks.” Micro waves him away as the man starts backing up, not knowing where he’s going, all the while still sniffing the money.
Micro finally loses track of him as he just so happened to back into a comfort mattress store.
“Weird.”

“Okay. Here we go.” Micro Chips opens up the shoebox, looking inside to see a bunch of shredded up newspaper all littered throughout.
On top of all that though being a plain white note, along with a small gray oblong pill.
Micro picks up the note first, reading:
“Please drink with regular green Mountain Dew.”
Luckily for him, a soda drink vending machine was close by.
Micro goes over to the vending machine, putting in the required $1.50 first before selecting Mountain Dew as his drink choice.
“Well, here we go.” Micro picks up the pill with his fingers, swallowing it.
Opening up the MD bottle, he takes one big swig of it. Dropping the still opened bottle to the ground as he began to feel something.
But that something only lasted a few seconds.
“Huh. It’s okay. I’m okay.”
STARTUP MODE ACTIVATED.
Micro Chips gets that same feeling again, starting to feel lightheaded and dizzy as he falls unconscious onto the mall’s floor.
No one paying any attention to the fallen teenage boy.

Micro Chips finally awakens, still laying on the floor a bit unconscious.
All he can see are two pairs of black boots, his vision becoming much better as he looks further up to see... Elon Musk?
“Wha.. What?”
MY DEFAULT MODE. IF YOU WANT I CAN CHANGE.
“It’s just... you look like Elon Musk?”
I SHOULD PROBABLY EXPLAIN. BUT FIRST, GET OFF THE FLOOR BEFORE YOU EMBARRASS YOURSELF ANYMORE.
Micro Chips follows his advice. Getting up slowly then regaining his balance.
As soon as he got up, Micro feels his phone buzzing. Checking that he has a notification from Instagram.
Opening up the notification, the first thing he sees is a video of himself. On the mall floor. Freaking out. Lots of screams being heard.
OH YEAH. SORRY ABOUT THAT. THE SQUIP JUST DOES THAT WHEN FIRST BEING ACTIVATED.
“Oh man. What am I gonna do?!”
Micro looks and sees that the video was, well it was viewed by a lot of people. Why I bet everyone at school saw it.
SO LET ME EXPLAIN. MICRO CHIPS, I AM YOUR SUPER QUANTUM UNIT INTEL PROCESSOR. OR ‘SQUIP’ FOR SHORT.
“Huh? Oh yeah yeah.” Micro didn’t hear him as he still stared at the video of him, thinking of how this will affect him.
“One question. Can others see you, or just me?”
GOOD QUESTION. YOU SEE, I EXIST ONLY IN YOUR BRAIN. WHAT YOU ARE SEEING NOW IS A TELEPATHIC VERSION OF YOUR SQUIP. SO RIGHT NOW TO EVERYONE ELSE, THEY JUST SEE YOU TALKING TO NO ONE. PROBABLY THINKING OF HOW WEIRD YOU ARE. SO DON’T DO THAT. OKAY. WE CAN JUST SIMPLY TALK TO EACH OTHER TELEPATHICALLY.

Micro sees his squip pointing over to the store ‘Forever Twenty-One’.
Doing as he does, Micro walks over and heads inside the store.
“So what do you have in-“
THAT ONE. PICK THAT ONE.
Micro sees the shirt, a hint of cringe and hesitation coming over him as he sees what’s on it.
AND THE MATTER IS ...
“It says ‘If Diamonds are a Girls’ Best Friend, then Nuclear War is for Boys’.”
SO.
“It seems weird. And people might think that I’m weird once they see me wearing it.”
AND YOU ARE WRONG. BECAUSE ACCORDING TO ALL SOCIAL MEDIA’S TOP SEARCHES/LIKES, NUCLEAR WAR IS SO IN RIGHT NOW.
“It is?”
INDEED. IF YOU WANNA FIT IN, THE BEST WAY IS TO FOLLOW THE TREND.
“Okay . But I’m trusting you.”
Micro picks out the shirt, medium sized.
“That wasn’t so hard.”
EXACTLY. WHY DON’T YOU PICK OUT A SHIRT NOW.
Micro Chips looks over a couple of racks before finally seeing ‘the perfect shirt’.
THAT’S A GIRLS’ SHIRT.
“Micro ?”
Micro Chips knows that voice.
Taking just a slight peek behind him to see Sunset Shimmer. Right there behind him. Holding two shopping bags.
“Oh uh...”
GREET THE BETA.
“The .. hi Sunset.”
SAY YOU LOOK SEXY.
“I can’t say that!”
DON’T SMILE. STARE INTENSELY. SPEAK LIKE YOU DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR OWN DEATH.

“Uh ... is that a girls’ shirt?” Sunset asks sounding a little uncomfortable.
“No.”
YES.
“Yes!”
REPEAT AFTER ME. I WAS DATING A GIRL.
“I was dating a girl.”
AND SHE WORE A SHIRT JUST LIKE THIS.
“And she wore a shirt just like this .”
AND THAT GIRL WAS...
“And that girl was...”

“What?!” Sunset sounds off a bit mad (with a hint of jealousy).
IT’S HER ACCENT.
“It’s her accent.”
“Her accent isn’t even her real voice. She just pretends it is for attention.” Sunset puts on a pouty face.
Just now, Twilight Sparkle walks over to where Sunset and Micro are.
“Hey guys. I was just overhearing and... one question, Rarity broke up with you?”
“Yeah.” Micro just so reluctantly says.
NO.
“Uh, no.”
I BROKE UP WITH HER BECAUSE SHE WAS CHEATING ON ME.
“I broke up with her because she was cheating on me .”
Both Sunset and Twilight look at him weird . Both awkwardly silent.
“So Micro, everything alright for you? You seem... not like your usual self.” Sunset breaks the silence.
“Alright? Why everything’s fine .” Micro puts on a fake smile.
“Ya sure. ‘Cause I thought I saw you talking... to yourself earlier. You looked like you were, at least.”
“Uh ...”
LIE. SAY YOU JUST GOT A GRUELING TEXT AND IT UPSETTED YOU SO MUCH THAT YOU JUST HAD TO TALK TO YOURSELF ABOUT IT.
“Uh... Because I got a text. A grueling one at that. And I guess I was so upset by it that I didn’t realize I was talking. To myself.” Micro puts on the same fake smile from before.
“Okay . Listen, we better get headin’. See ya later, maybe.” And just like that, both Sunset and Twilight leave the store. Off to somewhere else.

“Well that went good. You think too?” Micro asks his Squip right as he leaves the store, carrying a shopping bag with all the shirts he bought.
MEH. COULD’VE BEEN BETTER. THOUGH NEXT TIME WE’LL BE GOING SOMEWHERE... THAT’S MORE SUITED FOR EVERYONE. SPECIFICALLY MORE FOR AGE/GENDER DEMOGRAPHIC.
“What do you mean?”
IT’S JUST, AS THE FURTHER WE WENT IN THE STORE, THE MORE I REALIZED THAT THE STORE, FOREVER TWENTY-ONE, IS MORE SUITED FOR GIRLS OF YOUR AGE GROUP.
“Okay. Then why did you tell me in the first place to go in there? I obviously don’t know because if I did then I wouldn’t need you.”
I TOLD YOU BECAUSE I DIDN’T KNOW. I’M A LEARNING COMPUTER. FOR EVERY INTERACTION, I EVOLVE. FOR EXAMPLE, SIMPLY WALK DOWN THE HALL AND SEE.

(The Next Day at School)
Micro Chips arrives to school with a swagger he’s never experienced before.
Wearing one of the shirts he’d bought yesterday (the nuclear war one.) and tight (but not too tight.) blue jeans,
Leaving all his nerdiness at home.
He may not yet have achieved maximum coolness, but he could see that he’s well on his way.
And all it took was swallowing a pill sold to him by a stoner.
IT APPEARS THAT EVERYONE SEEMS TO BE LOOKING TOWARDS YOU. MEANING THAT YOU HAVE BEEN NOTICED .
“Cool.”
YOU DO KNOW THAT WE’RE NOT DONE YET. READY FOR STEP FOUR?
“Step four? Okay. Go ahead, tell me.”
OH, I DON’T HAVE TO TELL. IN FACT STEP FOUR SHOULD BE HERE IN 3.. 2.. 1..
“Hi Micro. Nice getup. Very trendy.” Sunset says as she walks over by him, complimenting him.
“Oh yeah. And you look very...”
LOVELY.
“Lovely. You look lovely.”
“Thanks.”
The two just stare at each other, the moment starting to get awkward. But that can’t happen.
SAY TO HER, ‘SO YOU KNOW THAT HALLOWEEN PARTY IS TONIGHT?’
‘Uh, okay.’
“So Sunset. You know about that Halloween party tonight?”
“Oh yeah. Wasn’t planning on going anyways. Just gonna stay home.”
HMM, INTERESTING. MICRO, ASK HER TO BE YOUR “PLUS ONE ” FOR TONIGHT.
‘Wait. You mean as like, a date?’
YES. AND HURRY BEFORE THIS GETS AWKWARD.
‘Okay.’
“So uh Sunset. I was just wondering... will you be my plus one f or tonight?”
Sunset looks surprised at what he just said. “Okay. See you tonight then.”
Micro starts off in shock. ‘I, uh... wha ..?’
YOU CAN THANK ME LATER.
“Thank you ...!”
A lot of stuff happened.
First off, there’s the fact that Rarity won’t return any of the new kid in school’s texts.
Second, how Rainbow Dash completely choked by swinging three times and not getting a single hit, causing her team to lose to their rivals, Crystal Prep, by a score of 5-4. Doesn’t help when she had runners on the corners and only needed just a hit to tie it up.
Oh and thirdly, can’t forget how freaking Micro Chips asked out Sunset Shimmer to the Halloween party first. Her accepting it no less.
Flash Sentry is out in the parking lot, sitting in his new 2019 Ford F-150, listening to his favorite underground rock bands.
Any minute now school will get out (why Flash isn’t in school now is a mystery all on its own.), and Flash will be waiting...
...for Wallflower Blush. He promised to drive her after school to the Halloween store so she can pick out a costume for the party tonight.
It’s actually pretty nice of him considering that Wallflower is only now pursuing a drivers’ license.

After taking her then soon dropping her off at her house, Flash drives to the nearest McDonald’s for a quick bite to eat.
After that does he go back home to fully prepare himself for tonight.
(Later That Night)
Flash arrives at the party along with his date.
Flash appearing dressed as the red Power Ranger, though his costume being a little too tight for comfort.
Wallflower dressed up in a “Adult” sized Spider-Man costume that may or may not show skin. (It was after all specifically made for ‘teenage girls attending a Halloween party’.)
Walking into the house, the first thing Flash sees is Micro Chips. Him wearing a varsity letterman jacket, hair combed over perfectly to the side, looking as fresh as ever. Drink in one hand. A girl in the other. Overall, he looks like you're average preppy, privileged kid that somehow still goes to your below average public school.
Oh, and that girl in his other hand just so happens to be Sunset Shimmer.
Flash may look as calm and collective on the outside, but on the inside he’s all steamy.
“Uh, you alright?” Wallflower asks her date. “Ever since we got here, you’d just been staring off at Micro Chips. With a hint of jealousy if I might add.”
“Huh... oh yeah . Listen, why don’t you go and get us both a drink. I just have to do... something.”
Wallflower just gives an innocent, ‘no bucks given’ strug, walking over to where the drink station is.
As she left, Flash decides to do the most stupidest thing ever and punch Micro right in the face.

‘Ow! What just happened? Squip? Uh, squip?! Are you there?!?!?!’

(Back to Flash’s Perspective)
“Woah . What just happened?” Wallflower asks as she returns with two “non-alcoholic” beverages, coming back to see her date Flash fighting with Micro Chips (Though it’s more of a slap fight if I might add).
“So uh, what is the meaning of this?!” Wallflower speaks loudly yet couldn't get the attention of anyone. “Of course.”
“I know right. Boys ... will be boys.” The author of this story says as I magically self-insert myself into this story. Standing right next to Wallflower.
“Don’t worry. I have a plan.” I say as I bring out from my pants’ pocket a small notepad and pen, writing:
“...just as Flash and Micro were finishing up their fight, all of a sudden, out of nowhere does the whole house be set to flames. Everybody inside immediately evaluating out.”
As soon as everything is written down, the whole house does in fact burst into flames, nobody even questioning it as they all evaluated outside to safety.
Except for Flash and Micro as they must want a page in the yearbook dedicated exclusively for the two of them, still fighting (slap fighting).
“Huh, guess it’ll be a challenge. But nonetheless a challenge I’ll solve.” I say as I stand harmlessly in the burning house, no fire affecting me.
“...while Flash and Micro are still fighting, Sunset Shimmer finds herself standing right beside them, getting between both of them to break up their little fight.”
As I write that, Sunset Shimmer magically appears back in the burning house, a little surprised if not ‘huh, wtf!!!’ no doubt.
But there’s no time for that as she gets in between Flash and Micro, breaking up their “fight”.
“...after breaking up their fight, Sunset looks to Flash. Flash looks to Sunset. Big, bright smile for both of them as she grabs his hand, the two both walking out of the blaze. Boyfriend, girlfriend.”
Sunset looks to Flash. Flash looks to her. They both give a smile before locking hands and leaving the burning residential suburban home.
A new chapter of their relationship just beginning.

“Wait! But what about me?!?!”
WELL...
“Don’t worry. I got it.” I say to the frightened teenage boy.
“...and from that moment on, Micro Chips became hospitalized because he just so happened to be hit by the stupid stick to run out of the burning building. Suffering from third degree burns.”
“WAIT WHAT-“

Well except for the epilogue I have planned.
Micro Chips is in the hospital, all stretch out on a hospital bed, still suffering from all his burns.
SUBJECT DEEMED AS ‘FAILURE’. COMMENCING WHOLE SHUTDOWN OF SYSTEM...
“Wait what?!?!” Micro blurts out as soon as he heard those exact words. “But what about trying to get me to be more cool?”
SUBJECT COULDN’T EVEN ACQUIRE BETA. MEANING THAT I, HAVE FAILED YOU.
“She wasn’t even that interested in me. Ain’t there some other girl that could take her place?”
NONNEGOTIABLE. SORRY BUT, THIS IS THE END.
SHUTDOWN MODE ACTIVATED.
“Aaaaaaaaahh!!!!!” Micro screams out as his Squip shutdowns, him not knowing that the shutdown would involve tons and tons of electricity pulsing through his body.

“It’s too frick to type this up so answer me. I’ll tell you what I know.”
RD - “Wallflower Blush a calling? Wallflower Blush a calling. Wallflower Blush a calling? (answers her phone.) Hey!”
WB - “Oh my gosh, oh my gosh. So, at the end of last night’s party, did you see Flash?”
RD - “No I did not see Flash.”
WB - “Well him and Micro got in a fight!”
RD - “Probably shouldn’t drink so much for a big boy.”
WB - “No! ‘Cause he hardly touched one drop!”
“Which means you can’t blame the alcohol.”
RD - “I knew that was alcohol!”
WB - “It was just so terrible I don’t think I can relive it all!”
“But do you want me to tell you?”

RD - “Hey so you’ll never guess what I just heard.”
“First off, last night, did you see Flash?”
Rare - “No I did not see Flash.”
RD - “Well apparently him and Micro got into a fight.”
Rare - “A fight? Flash probably shouldn’t smoke too much for a big boy.”
RD - “Right But Flash wasn’t high, nor drunk . So you can’t blame anything. He just did it .
RD + Rare - “Oh boy.”
Rare - “And what else do you have to tell me?”
RD - “Well, So last night at the party there was this fire.”
Rare - “Oh how could I have forgotten about that.”
RD - “Yes well according to Wallflower Blush, the author of this very story caused it.”
Rare - “The author?”
RD - “Meta I know.”

And then they told everyone from here to the next town over.
