Under The Moonlight

"You feel this way?"

"I.... am really sorry, I just don't feel it anymore".

"Why didn't you told me this sooner?"

"I'm... just scared, I don't want to see you hurt Moony".

"I understand".

"Thank you for understanding".

"I just don't get it. You fell in love with me and you called me here to tell me that we're over".

Sunset Shimmer and Moondancer were awkwardly sitting next to each other in the park's bench talking about how their relationship is right now. Sunset didn't feel the spark like the time she had a crush on Moondancer, it was love at first sight at that moment.

"Well, I need to go back home. My sister is probably worried, you know how she is about you looking like your from a gang". Moondancer jolted in surprise when Sunset had stop her from leaving the bench. Sunset sighs and wraps her arm around her girlfriend's waist pulling her close before giving her a kiss on the cheek. Moondancer blushes a little but still refuses to look her girlfriend in the eyes.

"How about before we part ways.... you wanna I don't know, maybe have a one last date?" Sunset asked which made Moondancer smile a little.

"I would very much like that, Sunset".

"I know a place that we could both enjoy our last date together as a couple". Sunset stood up before helping her girlfriend on her feet.

"Lead the way". Sunset held Moondancer's hand as they both left the park.

Sunset Shimmer went to her bike and gives her girlfriend a spare helmet before they both sat on the bike seat. Sunset started the bike and drives. Moondancer didn't wrap her arms around her girlfriend which made the biker upset but understands so she felt her girlfriend's hands were on her shoulder.

As Sunset was driving her bike, Moondancer was confuse to why it was taking so long. She thought that Sunset was referring to the mall, the library, or some coffee shops. Her eyes winded when she saw a familiar road that was leading to her favorite place, Canterlot's Spring Falls. Moondancer smiled and gently smacks her girlfriend's shoulder before wrapping her arms around her. Sunset smiles and speeds up a little, the road trip was a little long but they eventually made it. Sunset park the bike and both of them watch the scenery. There in front of them was a big waterfalls with fresh water, they could hear birds singing, and the plants that surrounds the place. This place was their first date and this would be their last.

"I hope you will enjoy this". Sunset said as she removes her helmet and both of them got off the bike.

"Good thing I brought extra clothes. Sometimes you are full of surprises Shimmer". Moondancer said as she takes off her clothes in front of her girlfriend which Sunset blush deep red and turns around quickly.

"What the hell Moony?!" Moondancer laughs and immediately dives in the fresh lake. Sunset opens her eyes and softly smiles as she watches her girlfriend swim gracefully in the lake. She decided to keep her clothes on and wasted no time to join her girlfriend for a swim. Moondancer stops to get some air and soon was surprise by Sunset hugging her from behind.

"You scared me to death, Sunset!" Moondancer struggles to break free which made Sunset laugh.

"Aw, you look so cute when you're angry". Moondancer pouted and Sunset tightened her hug a little.

"Shut it". They both had some water fights, surprise attacks.

As they were having fun, Sunset Shimmer smiles in satisfaction to see her girlfriend smiling again. They both were sitting on the grass watching the waterfalls, Sunset Shimmer was about to touch Moondancer's hand but she saw that her hand left the middle. Sunset looks up and saw Moondancer looking at her.

"What are you doing? I thought we were through?"

"I just... wanted to hold your hand one last time befor-".

"Before you go back to Equestria". Sunset's eyes winded in shock as she heard her girlfriend knowing the truth.

"It wasn't really hard to read you Shimmer". Sunset felt Moondancer's hand touched hers and soon found herself looking at her gorgeous eyes.

"You still love me, I can feel it and definitely feel it in your eyes. But I understand that you belong to where you once called home. It's really sweet of you to make this place our last date". Sunset couldn't hold it any longer, she tightly held her girlfriend and softly presses her lips to her girlfriend's.

Moondancer wraps her arms around Sunset as she knew this will be her last time feeling Sunset's lips against hers. They fell on the ground but it didn't stop them from kissing with each other. A few hours later, it was night time and they were in the lake making out but it seems like they were skinny dipping. Moondancer broke off the kiss and puts her forehead against Sunset's.

"This is actually the first time I've ever done this with you".

"I'm glad that you enjoyed this day with me". Sunset held Moondancer close and kisses her forehead.

"I'll be there when you leave.... I promise". Moondancer said.

"I remember how we first met". Sunset cooed.

"I want to hear it".

Flashback...

Sunset Shimmer is looking for a book about Greek mythology for her assignment that was going to due on Friday. She was patiently looking for it since she still have time to go to Pinkie's house for the sleepover. She finally saw a book about it and she was about to grab it until she saw another hand grabbing it as well. She turn to her side and saw a girl who looks like Twilight but a different hair color. Sunset Shimmer's heart beating so fast of how the girl looked really cute and innocent.

"I-I'm sorry. I'll just grab anoth-".

"NO!" A lot of people look to her direction and signals her to be quiet. She nervously smiles and grabs the book.

"You maybe want to read this... together?" The girl blushes a little and smiles.

"I would like that... I'm Moondancer and you are?"

"Sunset Shimmer".

End....

"You have weird taste in choosing your partner". Moondancer smirks.

"Wh-What can I say? You look really cute".

"Flattery will get you nowhere".

Sunset Shimmer has never feel so much awkward in her years of living in this world. Here she was being hugged by her best friends who were crying like children and the other students were watching the commotion. Moondancer was laughing as she records the whole thing. The girls broke off the hug and Sunset had finally started to breathe properly.

"We-We're going to miss you Sunset!!!" Pinkie Pie shouted as she tightens her hug to Rainbow Dash who was trying to find air.

"Say hi to Princess Twilight for us!" Fluttershy said as she waves goodbye.

"We will message you everyday, darling!".

Sunset Shimmer was looking at Moondancer the whole time. She ran towards her direction and gave her a hug one last time, her ex smiled softly and hugs back.

"I'm glad I met you bacon strips".

"I'm glad too Moony but this isn't goodbye".

"This is goodbye til next time". Moondancer finishes the sentence.

"Friends?" Sunset asked as she held up hand hoping Moondancer would shake it.

"Friends". Moondancer accepted her new friend's hand and watches Sunset leave the human world.
