The cloaked figure sat in front of the large monitors at their desk. It was a slow process to upgrade their newly obtained robot Lightning dust. The room is almost completely silent, apart from the typing of keyboards. The silence is broken by the sounds of metal grinding against the steel door to the room. The figure gives an audible sigh turning around in their chair and hitting a button to open the door.

The door unlocks itself and opens quickly to reveal a robot with a circular saw for a hand sawing into the door. The armor of the bot looking sort of like a metal ninja with a continuous circular saw theme, with metal wings on its back. The color of the armor a butter yellow with soft pink highlights over it. A triple butterfly cutie mark imprinted each side of the helmet, as well as pony ears on it.

"What do you want!?" the figure demanded.

-=Abandon Warehouse Turned Secret Mega Mare Training Center=-

"So," started Sweetie, "From the tests we've preformed, you can shoot high powered solar bullets, fall from massive heights without hurting yourself, charge up the bullets to make more powerful shots, use the heavy recoil from the charge shots to propel yourself upwards, be more agile without stressing out your energy adapter, copy powers from other electronic objects, and overall just be plain cool looking." Sweetie looks up from her clipboard to her sister. "Is that all?"

'Yes, I believe so." The older bot replies.

"Okay, i think you are ready to start your part time hobby of being, like a hero or something." Sweetie asked hopefully.

"I guess so... I mean how much could go wrong?" Rarity said.

-=Canterlot City Streets=-

"That's got to be the fifth person you've saved this week!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed, "If I didn't know any better I'd think people are purposely putting themselves in danger just to get a glimpse of our cities new and upcoming hero Mega Mare!" It had been about a week since Rarity made Mega Mare her secret identity, and people were gatting themselves in danger more times than was normally expected. It was fine though, Rarity was having a blast doing more than just attending to her fashion hobby. And as an added bonus Rainbow Dash would be returning from her vacation with her family. They had discussed Mega Mare over the phone and Dash was quite impressed.

Rarity had sent clips from the news to her friend and Dash was ecstatic to get back home in hopes of meeting this hero. Rarity hadn't broken the news to her buddy that she was the mysterious hero. "Well Sweetie I'd be putting myself in danger just to be saved by an equally fabulous hero."

"Ok, just don't let your ego get to you." Sweetie said elbowing her sister as they walked down the streets.

"Hey! That was uncalled for missy!" Rarity snapped, "But also thank you for keeping me in check."

As they were walking they could feel something was off. They heard screams, of terror people running around like chickens that just had their head cut off. The two of them share a glance and ran into a nearby alleyway. "Mega time?" The younger bot asked? Rarity nodded and turned meganize on. The transformation took place and Rarity now Mega Mare ran out from the alley to find out what the problem was.

The streets were quiets too quiet all the cars had ceased moving no human nor robot in sight. Then she noticed the huge gashes in cars smashed windows and scratch marks in the pavement and the buildings. What in the hell happened here? She thought to herself looking around unaware that someone was watching her. She raised her mega buster putting her guard up as she wandered into the trashed streets.

Checking a map of the city in her UI to take note of where she was she was almost in the middle of town. She heards some moment on the top of a convenience store roof. Charging up her buster she shot at the ground propelling her up onto the roof. Once on top she began surveying the area. There had to be something there, right? It's not like any normal human or robot could cause this much devastation. But if not than who?

She jumped of the roof landing back on the streets again lowering her guard for a second... That's when she heard it. A quick buzz. Before anything else she turned just in time to see a circular saw blade heading strait towards her. As if on instinct she jumped out of the way as the blade flew past her landing deep in the pavement. She looked up to see a robot standing on a car looking down at her it's blood red eyes staring deep into her circuitry causing her to freeze up. "Well, well, well, Mega Mare!" It mocked it's tone soft and aggressive. "I almost thought I'd have to kill someone before you showed up."

"Well luckily I did show up." Rarity said standing up and raising her weapon pointing it at the perpetrator. "Who are you? Why are your here."

"Me!? I am Metal Mare!?" She shouted, "And as for why I am here, I am here..." Her tone changed to a much more calm looking down at her weapon a saw blade being generated into existence. "TO KILL YOU!!!" Her voice changing to batshit crazy and beginning to throw her blades at high speeds at Mega.

"Jesus christ!" Rarity shouted jumping and diving, doing her best to dodge the flying saws. Occasionally returning fire at Metal Mare.

"Ow! That hurts!!" Metal cried angrily. Scorched dents in her armor from the blasts. She decides to make it harder for Mega to hit her by speedily jumping and running around her enemy continuously trowing her blades.

Ugh, she's making it too hard for me to hit her! Rarity thought, If I can knock her down for a moment I could use the weapons adaptation system for real. She began to study Metal's pattern of attacks as well as starting to charge up her gun. Still dodging her enemies attacks she fired, and missed, she tried a couple more times missing both times. But then she shot right as Metal landed hitting her square in the face causing her to go flying back. Metal crashing to the ground tumbling a short ways before stopping.

She almost instantly get back up and begins running towards Rarity. The blade in her launcher weapon spinning at high speeds as she swung at the sparkly purple pest. Rarity doing her best to dodge the swings and jabs the her attacker was now using. Metal cornering her prey inside a building of which's insides had bees destroyed by her rage proceeds to swing her blade overhead, ready to bring it down on the so called hero.

Rarity held up her buster in an attempt to protect herself from the oncoming attack. It proved successful as whatever the gun was made of what tough enough to withstand the spinning blade being forcefully pressed down upon it. Sparks flying from the blade grinding against the deep purple metal.

Rarity knew that if she faltered she was done for. She then noticed something she didn't know she could do her other arm could transform into another mega buster. She could use this to her advantage. Charging the second gun up without alerting her assailant once fully charged she pressed it right up to Metal stomach causing her to go flying out the window.

This one knocked her down for a bit longer. Just enough time for Rarity to use the weapon adaptation system. The download of the weapon is almost instantaneous filling out one of eight slots. "Weapon get: Metal Blade" The TTS voice read. Quickly switching to her new weapon using her UI, Her armor changing colors to ones that similarly match Metal Mare's, the helmet morphing to look more similar to Metal's helmet as well. The biggest change was to the mega buster, now a two pronged blade generator that had the capabilities to either lock the blade in for close ranged combat or unlocked for tossing the blades. "Wow it almost a perfect replica of Metal Mare's." Mega commented.

"Y-You... my weapon? Wha-What?" Metal stuttered as she saw Rarity's transformation. "Y-You copy cat!" She yelled in more a frenzied rage than ever. "I guess I'll have to resort to plan B!!!" She jumped into the air, a red aura surrounding her as a hologram of two red gears spinning appeared in front of her. "POWER GEAR!"

Uh oh... Rarity though as Metal began to attack once more only this time fore every blade she threw, three were thrown instead. Frantically dodging the metal blades thrown by the floating robot. It seemed like she only had one shot at this. She aimed, reared back, and swung at the attacker...

Hitting her straight through the head. Oil and sparks flying everywhere the aura leaving her being. Light slowly engulfing her as small explosions ruptured throughout her body. "BEATEN BY MY OWN WEAPONNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She cried out clutching her head as she teleported back to where she came from. But not after leaving a pretty circle of flashing particles.

Then Silence... Then thunderous applause! As humans and robots alike came out of hiding to cheer for their savior, Mega Mare! Morphing back to her standard weapon and basking in the applause, looking over to where Sweetie Belle was located to see she had recorded the whole thing on her phone. Giving her little sister a thumbs up as the crowd cheered.

The doors to the office of the cloaked figure opened up, Metal Mare trudged down the corridor her armor beaten as scratched heavily, a ginormous gash through her head, oil leaking down her entire face and neck getting all over herself. The helmet cracked just enough to let some soft pink oil soaked hair cover one eye. Walking up behind her boss's chair "I'm home..." She said in an annoyed tone.

"I gave you specific orders not to go out there and fight her," The figure said turning in their chair. "now look at you..." They said looking over her. "Repairs will be in order for you soon enough but right now, your new sister is finished."

Metal looked up to one of the screens showing what used to be Lightning Dust.
