Spike the Dragon... doesn't know how to be a dragon. He knows he likes gems. And he can suffer from bouts of Dragon Greed. But he's never actually been a dragon. The only other roll models for male dragons he's had have been Garble, who was just a bully, and Sludge, who pretended to be his dad. Twilight and Arcane call in professionals to help him learn how to be a real dragon among ponies. Did they bite off more than they can chew with this little purple dragon? Or have they found yet another Hero in Training?

Disclaimer: I have never played the Spyro games, so I don't know how they're supposed to act. I don't know if Cynder's supposed to be cold and aloof and Spyro's supposed to be cocky and head strong, so I'm just going with my gut.
