Long before the invasion of Canterlot, a certain malevolent queen kept close watch on Equestria's most important ponies. After their astonishing victory against Night Mare Moon, Queen Chrysalis busied her Hive with spying on and studying the Elements of Harmony.

When the perfect opportunity to evaluate Twilight Sparkle arose, Chrysalis took action, sending a veteran commando by the name of Raze to infiltrate Ponyville. His assigned guise, however, wasn't one he expected.
