Equine Grodd

Gorilla Grodd stood angrily at the window, watching his scientists once again work on a serum, designed to turn every hero in the land into a gorilla, thus making Grodd the ruler of the world. However, his 'scientists' were more dumb apes than scientific inventors, and so, once again, the serum was a failure. Grodd always tests his Gorilla serum on a small control group, usually consisting of his stupid monkeys, and maybe a few 'volunteers' from the surrounding cities. this time, however, Grodd was absolutely sure that the serum was going to work, so he signed himself up for the test. Now, seeing the Idiot Gorillas mess up the concoction again, Grodd knew he was either about to die, or be turned into some hideous mutation much, much worse. He just prayed that the sub-par scientists would still see it in their half-developed brains to add a few more useless ingrediants to possibly make it extremely poisonous.

As if with bad luck, just then the door to the lab swung open, and the only other partway intellegant ape stepped out. "Master Grodd," began the scientist, "we're assembling the control group. the serum is ready." and so, the Scientist led Grodd out the door, and into the lab. Grodd was familiar with his own lair, but was still surprised by the doctors' idiocy in creating a failure of a serum as he walked to his death. this time, his overconfidence would certainly kill him. He turned his head one last time to the half of the lab used for weapon research and developement to his left, and then the Portion to his right that he was watching earlier, where the scientists made their last glorious failure. Finally, after what seemed like painstaking ages, Grodd and the scientist entered the testing chamber. It was small, white, and padded for the few times that Test subjects had gone insane. This thought caused Grodds mind to wander, as he and five other dumb apes stood in front of six lasers, used to administer the serum. What horrific fate would await Grodd? He thought of all the worst case scenarios: 1. he could die 2. he could go insane 3. he could be mutated into a horrific abomination. 4. he could be drained of his power and intelligence, turning him into the brainless monkeys that he made his peons. or 5. he could switch minds with one of his 'comrades'.

Gorilla Grodd couldn't stand to look as the lasers began whirring, indicating that the Serum was almost ready. Grodd could instantly feel his stomach contracting with the suspense, until... finally ... wham!. Grodd was hit by the Serum rod, which embedded itself into the huge ape's stomach. he could feel the horrible concoction churn and burn in his intestines, until the agony was too much to bear, and he let out a huge roar of pain. but it wasn't over. he was in so much pain that he fell onto his hands, and couldn't stand upright again. he felt his skull take on a new alien form, as his mouth and nose extended into a snout, and something began jutting out of his forehead. Grodd realised in horror as he began mutating into a repulsive monster. his fingers and toes stook together, and he could no longer feel his thumbs. the last thing he felt was the hair on his body getting shorter, and new hair sprouting on his behind. Finally, the pain ended, and Gorilla Grodd tried to stand again, and he managed for a few seconds, before losing his balance, and being forced onto all fours again. He raised his head from his position, and what he saw in the window was horrific. just as Grodd had feared, he was mutated into a small black horse. upon his head rested a horn, light grey, and his cape had been strewn across the floor. He looked to his fellow test subjects, to see the same thing. more grey, black and brown horses, some with horns, some with wings, and some bland as a regular horse. some still wore their labcoats, but others had shed their clothing as they transformed.

Grodd tried to walk in this new Quadroped state, only to find it challenging and awkward, nothing like walking like a huge gorilla. He turned to the scientist in charge, and was amazed to see that he still had the ability to speak. He ordered, "It's agonizing...It's mutatous...its so easily commanded...make 500 cases. we're releasing it to the public."

He was joyous that a serum finally worked, and was eager to test it on the population of the world. soon, it would be leaked into the atmosphere in gasious form via satellite, and no one, not even superman, would be able to withstand its powers. Finally, Gorilla Grodd, or as he is to call himself in his new mutant state, Equine Grodd, would rule the world. But first he had to learn how to walk properly. He left the test chamber slowly, always keeping three legs on the ground, and trudged through his lab, and into his throne room.

Equine Grodd sat in his throne in front of the head Scientist. He had perfected walking, trotting, and had began to work on galloping in his new form, and had learned how to sit, and use his horn, which was apparently used for magic. The scientist began his report, "Master Grodd, the Toxin has been released into the atmospere, and so far the cities of Metropolis, Gotham, and Bludhaven have been infected by the gasses. All is going to plan.

Grodd Stared ahead with his jet black eyes, and in a low voice, uttered one word, "Perfect". Metropolis and Gotham were the two biggest sespools of superhuman activity in the world. with them infected, nothing would stand in the way of Equine Grodd, and world dominance.there were still only a few loose ends, though.

The scientist continued, "and, sir, we had delivered the 500 crates, when we realized that there were originally 502, before we used one for the test. Therefore, there is still a single crate left over. What do you want us to do with it?"

Grodd wanted just this to happen. He said, "Bring it here." Soon, The head scientist, along with three other gorillas, brought the final crate of poisonous gas into the throne room. Grodd left his throne, levitated a sword off of the wall, and began investigating the box only four small metal hinges, all lined up vertically, kept the gas in the crate, and not in the facility, infecting the last gorillas. Grodd raised his sword, and slashed all four hinges at once. The door swung open, the gas filled the room, and began flowing under the doors into the main hall, and labrotory. Soon, every gorilla would be exactly like Grodd, to prevent superior species uprisings.
