ORB OF UNLIMITED CONTROL

The air was thick. Even on the upper deck, Rainbow dash could feel the thick smog through her naturally omnichrome hair.

"This mist might affect the radio signals coming through the air. I should probably te--" Her thin voice was cut off by the heavy, metallic static of her personal radio.

"Hey, uh, Twilight, you might want to come see this!" Macintosh's loud, thick voice called over what Rainbow presumed to be Macintosh's personal radio set on 'All-Frequencies.'

"Look, Mac, i don't mean to be rude, but this is the third time I've had to tell you to use the personal frequency for each of us," Rainbow glared over the radio.

"Oh, i'm sorry about that, Rainbow, i just keep forgetting what the frequencies are!"

" Well, go to the library and find out as soon as you've finished what your doing," Rainbow answered," Gosh! Some ponies!" Rainbow said to herself, rolling her eyes.

Back in the VIP deck of Princess Luna's flagship, Luna herself paced nervously around the beautifully carved mahogany and scrap iron clad room, her thoughts enveloping her more and more. The headache she had only just started to get had been getting worse and worse. She had tried all the pain-relieving spells she knew, but only a few had made her feel any ounce better. little did she know that all the other unicorns on the gargantuan, indigo airship had been getting the same painful, irritating throb from their horns.

Meanwhile, on Celestia's airship, the princess was feeling very angry about most of the ponies in Ponyville abandoning her. But, she did still have the ponies from a few surrounding cities and towns to help her in the race. what really intrigued her was what exactly the orb of unlimited control did. Any pony would assume that it granted the user unlimited control, but what no pony knew was how to use the orb. Celestia's only option was to have scores of ponies studying all the old libraries to find more on the subject of the orb. She only had a vague idea of where the orb was hidden, and even then, she didn't know exactly what it looked like. She had to find out more about this mysterious orb-and fast!
