Sunset Shimmer had been learning under Princess Luna's tutelage for years. When she was old enough to move out, she started living in Ponyville and learning friendship lessons. She and her new friends would become closer with each lesson and conflict. In the first season of this story, she would meet her friends, confront Daybreaker together, and then attend the gala later.
