Chapters I was supposed to be the one who made the best parties…
After the party was over, Rainbow Dash’s friends went to her house. Cheese Sandwich offered to live in Ponyville for a few days. Twilight Sparkle happily offered to live with her. But the party wasn’t one of the best. Without Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash felt the party wasn’t worth it. Because what’s the point of celebrating a party without your best friend? Well, that’s what Rainbow Dash thought. Rainbow Dash hardly even enjoyed the party, she was alone in a corner of the party. What about Rainbow Dash’s friends? They stood beside Rainbow, trying to comfort her and cheer her up, but it was no use. Because Rainbow Dash felt unwilling and went home while the party was still going on. Twilight Sparkle and the others were sad that the birthday mare didn’t want to celebrate her birthday.
Meanwhile, at Golden Oka’s Tree Library, Twilight Sparkle couldn’t stop swirling around the room, “I don’t understand. Why was the party not a success? My party books didn’t say anything about birthdays mares leaving their own party for being sad”
“Twilight, where am I going to sleep?” asked Cheese Sandwich.
Twilight Sparkle stopped what she was doing, “ah. I’ll make your bed. Wait a second”
Meanwhile, at Rainbow’s house, she was in bed with Tank, her turtle, “Tank, this party wasn’t cool. My own friend didn’t come to the party”
Tank looked at Rainbow Dash confusedly, “I wish Pinkie Pie had come to the party…”
At Sugarcube Corner, Pinkie Pie was already with a smooth mane, but her fur was still light pink. She was crying in bed. Gummy was beside her, “Gummy, what do I do? My friends prefer Cheese Sandwich over me. They also prefer his parties over my parties. What do I do?”
Gummy in response, blinked both eyes. One at a time. Pinkie Pie wiped her tears away with a hoof as she smiled, “Isn’t that a bad idea”
When the next day came, Twilight Sparkle and Cheese Sandwich got up. They went downstairs and saw that breakfast was already on the table. Twilight Sparkle smiled when he saw what it was, “pancakes!! Thank you so much, Spike!” Twilight Sparkle grabbed Spike with her magic to hug him.
“As a number one assistant, it’s my obligation to know what you like”, said Spike, while still being hugged by Twilight.
Cheese Sandwich went to the table, sat down and began to eat. He couldn’t deny that Spike could cook well.
Meanwhile, at Sugarcube Corner, Mrs. Cup Cake and Mr. Carrot Cake made breakfast, “Pinkie, Breakfast Time!” exclaimed Mrs Cup Cake with a smile.
“Can I eat in the bedroom?” Pinkie Pie’s voice came from the bedroom.
Mrs. Cup Cake and Mr. Carrot Cake looked at each other. Was Pinkie Pie all right? Normally Pinkie Pie liked to eat with them.
“Should I check on her?” asked Mrs. Cup Cake.
“I think so”, answered Mr. Carrot Cake.
Mrs. Cake left where she and Mr. Carrot Cake were, climbed the steps and went to Pinkie Pie’s room. When Mrs. Cake opened the door, she was surprised by what she saw: Pinkie Pie had a smooth mane, her fur was dark pink, and beside her was a bucket of radishes, a bag of flour, a pile of stones, and a deal that looked like a… um… I don’t know. Mrs. Cup Cake didn’t know.
“Pinkie? Are you ok? ”Asked Mrs. Cup Cake worriedly.
“Yes, Mrs Cake”, replied Pinkamena with a smile.
“Are you sure? You look different”, said Mrs. Cup Cake.
“It’s just that I didn’t wake up in a good mood”, said Pinkamena.
“Would you like to tell me what bothers you, dear?” asked Mrs. Cup Cake.
Pinkamena thought before answering, “no. But thanks for worrying about me. I already have my friends here. Isn’t that true, Rocky?”
“It is true. We’re her new best friends now”, said Pinkamena as she held Rocky in a hoof and her eyes went squinting.
Mrs. Cup Cake looked a little uncertain, “so… are you going to eat downstairs?”
Pinkamena looked at Mrs. Cup Cake, “no. I’d like to eat here with my only true friends”
Mrs. Cup Cake decided to accept, “ok. I’ll bring it to you”, said that, she left the room. When she got to where Mr. Carrot Cake was. He grinned at Mrs. Cup Cake.
“So she comes?” asked Mr. Carrot Cake.
“No, honey”, said Mrs. Cup Cake.
“I think I better check her out”, said Mr Carrot Cake. He got up and went to Pinkie Pie’s room.
When he arrived in the room, Mr. Carrot Cake was surprised to hear Pinkie Pie talking to herself.
“I’m so happy to have you all as friends, guys”
“Me too. And besides, I’m having a great day here”
“Me too, Rocky”
Mr. Carrot Cake took a few steps back before leaving and back down to bring the food to Pinkie Pie. Mrs. Cup Cake saw Mr. Carrot Cake come out, “So did you?”
“I didn’t have the heart to open the door. She’s so weird”, answered Mr. Carrot Cake worried about his adopted daughter.
“Do you think we should take her to the psychologist?” asked Mrs. Cup Cake.
Mr. Carrot Cake thought for a moment before answering, “I think so. Because that way she can talk to somepony about what she is feeling. She refuses to talk to us”
“Then let’s talk to her”, said Mrs. Cup Cake. They climbed the stairs and when they reached the door they knocked.
“Who is it?”
“It’s us, honey. Can we come?”
“Yes”, answered Pinkamena from the other side of the door.
Mrs. Cup Cake opened the door. Mr. Carrot Cake was by her side, “Pinkie, we need to talk”
Pinkamena raised an eyebrow, “about what?”
“We’ll take you to the Psychologist”, said Mrs. Cup Cake.
“Why?” Wanted to know Pinkamena.
“You look very strange, dear,” answered Mrs. Cup Cake. “It’s all right?”
“Yes. Why do you think that?” asked Pinkamena.
“You’re a little sad, Pinkie. We can see that because the color of your hair is darker and your mane is smooth”, said Mrs. Cup Cake.
Pinkamena let out an “oh”, “you noticed, right?”
“Yes, Dear. We noticed. Tell us. You can trust us”, encouraged Mrs. Cup Cake with a smile.
Pinkamena looked uncertain, “I don’t know…”
“Come on, Pinkie. You can trust us”, said Mrs. Cup Cake, still smiling.
Pinkamena sighed, “ok…”
Then Pinkamena began to tell yesterday’s story: When she was helping with Rainbow Dash’s birthday party preparations, but then Cheese Sandwich appeared. She was even happy with him. But when the ponies began to show that they liked him, she felt that her friends would prefer Cheese Sandwich over her. And now here it was: Sad and alone.
“Pinkie, why didn’t you tell us how you felt?” asked Mrs. Cup Cake.
“I thought you guys were going to say, ‘Oh, go talk to your friends about this,’ " replied Pinkamena. “And I don’t want to talk to them or with cheese sandwich”
“Pinkie, we know that at the moment you aren’t strong enough to talk to them. So we won’t make you go talk to them”, said Mrs. Cup Cake.
“Yeah, Pinkie. Everypony sometimes needs their own space. And we will always respect you”, said Mr. Carrot Cake.
Although Pinkamena wasn’t very emotional, she managed to smile a little.

It’s been a few hours, and Twilight Sparkle and the others are planning to go to Sugarcube Corner, along with Cheese Sandwich. Pinkamena watched her ‘friends’ next to Cheese Sandwich. She could feel nothing but anger at seeing Cheese Sandwich with her friends.
It was no longer enough Cheese stealing my title as “Ponyville Party Pony”, now he has stolen my friends!
“What would you like to eat?” asked Mrs. Cup Cake with a smile.
“We didn’t come here to eat, Mrs. Cake. We came here to talk to Pinkie”, said Twilight Sparkle.
Mrs. Cup Cake and Mr. Carrot Cake looked at each other worriedly, before looking at Twilight, “She’s not quite emotional right now, Princess Twilight”
“Can we see her? Maybe we can cheer her up like… reading her a book?” said Twilight Sparkle.
Rainbow Dash hit the hoof on the forehead. Oh, really? Was that all Twilight could think of?
“It’s very kind of you, Princess. But Pinkie Pie doesn’t want to see you all right now”, said Mrs. Cup Cake.
Twilight Sparkle was worried, “Is she okay? She needs help?”
“She is feeling sad and lonely at the moment. And she doesn’t want any help from you”, said Mrs. Cup Cake.
Now the one who talk was Fluttershy, “not wanting to disrupt Pinkie’s space, but is it okay if we’re going to see how Pinkie looks?”
Mrs. Cup Cake and Mr. Carrot Cake looked at each other, “We’ll see if Pinkie wants it. Wait a second”
Pinkamena saw her foster parents approaching, she decided to go back to the room. But, unfortunately…
“Pinkie, you have visitors downstairs. And they want to talk to you”, said Mrs. Cup Cake.
Pinkamena looked seriously at Mrs. Cup Cake, “I don’t want them around”
“Pinkie, it’s your friends, they’d like to talk to you”, said Mr. Carrot Cake.
“They are no longer my friends!” exclaimed Pinkamena angrily.
“What do you mean, Pinkie?” asked Mrs. Cup Cake in surprise.
“Since they left me, I don’t want to know about them anymore. Warn them that I don’t want to know about them anymore. I already have my new friends. They are there in the room. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I planned a party to have a party with them”, replied Pinkamena gruffly, before heading toward her room.
Mrs. Cup Cake and Mr. Carrot Cake were surprised that Pinkie Pie was in a bad mood. Yesterday, she wasn’t in a bad mood, “Pinkie, are you ok? You are in a bad mood”
Pinkamena stopped walking and looked at her still grumpy foster parents, “I’m just grumpy because they replace me with the Cheese Sandwich”
“But, Pinkie. They might have come here to apologize and maybe even the own Cheese Sandwich”, said Mrs. Cup Cake.
“Yeah, Pinkie. Why don’t you try?” asked Mr. Carrot Cake.
Pinkamena thought before answering, “I prefer not to do that. I’d rather spend my time with my true friends”, said that, she went toward the bedroom door and closed it.
Mrs. Cup Cake and Mr. Carrot Cake went back downstairs. Twilight Sparkle was circling, Fluttershy was sitting in a chair talking to Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Applejack were doing nothing. They’d like to have something to eat, but they couldn’t because Mrs. Cup Cake and Mr. Carrot Cake weren’t about to attend, they were upstairs talking to Pinkie Pie, “we’re back”
Everypony looked at Mrs. Cup Cake and Mr Cake looked at each other, “she didn’t want to”
“Why didn’t she?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“She’s grumpy with you all”, replied Mrs. Cup Cakes.
Fluttershy was startled, “oh my…”
“Why is she in a bad mood?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“She’s annoyed that you replaced her with the Cheese Sandwich”, said Mrs. Cup Cake.
“But we weren’t intending to replace her, we were just happy that he knew how to organize parties”, said Twilight Sparkle.
“Well, you should at least realize that this was hurting Pinkie Pie, and now she doesn’t want to hear from you anymore”, said Mrs. Cup Cake.
Fluttershy struggled not to cry, though she already had tears in her eyes, “We’re terrible friends”

Rarity went to Fluttershy, “Yeah, darling. Don’t be pessimistic. Try to think positive. Try to think positive that we can get Pinkie Pie back as a friend”
Fluttershy managed to smile a little, “ok. I’ll try…”
“Does any pony have any idea how we could apologize to her?” asked Applejack.
Everypony looked at Applejack, and began to think. How could they apologize to Pinkie Pie? Twilight Sparkle had an idea, “I know! I know! A book about parties!”
Rainbow Dash scowled, “Really, Twilight? Is that the best you can think of?”
Twilight Sparkle grinned nervously, “Is because… I thought with a party book I would get her excited?”
“Honestly, Twilight. Honestly… ”said Rainbow Dash, now shaking her head.
Twilight Sparkle, still smiling nervously, said, “What are your other ideas?”
“A barn party!” exclaimed Applejack, all excited.
They all looked at Applejack before smiling.
In the bedroom, Pinkamena, was serving punch to her friends. She looked at her friends, “How’s the punch?”
Pinkamena went to the stone tower and held it with a hoof while her eyes were squinting, “It’s fine. I’m lucky to have you as a friend”
Pinkamena smiled at the stone tower, “I’m so happy, Rocky”, she suddenly twitched.
Knocking sound at the door, “who is it now?” asked Pinkamena.
The door opened revealing Rainbow Dash, she smiled nervously, “Hi Pinkie Pie. I’m sorry for what happened yesterday. I didn’t know you would be mad”
“Yup. I know… ” said Pinkamena as she gritted her teeth.
“Well… I came here for a reason. Is it okay if you follow me?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“No, thank you. I am here with my true friends. Isn’t that true, Madam Flour?” said Pinkamena.
“Yes. We are better friends than you”, said Pinkamena as her eyes squinted.
Rainbow Dash has seen this scene. She wondered why she always had to call Pinkie Pie. She already had to come to Sugarcube Corner because of Pinkie Pie’s surprise party. And now, she would have to face this same situation. Her friends could only be kidding with her.
“Look, Pinkie. I had to face this same situation before. So could you be understanding and cooperate with me?” said Rainbow Dash as she headed toward Pinkamena.
Pinkamena placed the pile of stones in front of Rainbow Dash, “she doesn’t want to go with you”
“I don’t want to and I won’t. You’re no longer my friends”, said Pinkamena.
“But, Pinkie. I want to show you something”, said Rainbow Dash, trying to convince Pinkamena to come with her.
“I’m not going!!” exclaimed Pinkamena, now annoyed. Rainbow Dash was thrown back.
Rainbow Dash opened her eyes. She couldn’t believe she would have to do it again. She flew to Pinkamena, “ok. Enough. Let’s get going”
“I will not!”
“Pinkie Pie. Let’s go!” exclameid Rainbow Dash.
“I said no!”
Rainbow Dash grabbed Pinkamena’s tail with her mouth, “Now it’s no use running away, Pinkie. Now you go”
Pinkamena grabbed the seat to hold on, “no. I will not!”
“Come on, Pinkie. I promise it’s something you like”, said Rainbow Dash.
“No, no!” exclaimed Pinkamena, now with her eyes closed.
Rainbow Dash hated having to do it, but she did. She pulled hard, and Pinkamena dropped the seat. But the bank lost its balance, fell on her head and she passed out. Rainbow Dash felt guilty about it. But she knew it would be easier now.

It was almost dusk, and Rainbow Dash finally managed to bring Pinkamena to Sweet Apple Acres. And Pinkamena was still passed out. Rainbow Dash breathed tiredly, “hunf. Finally”, she opened the barn door.
“Surprise!!”
But their smiles stopped when they saw that Pinkamena was passed out, “Pinkie! Is she ok, Rainbow?”
“I was trying to get her out of the house, but she refused, she held on to the seat. So I pulled her hard and it eventually resulted in her coming loose, but the seat just fell on her head and she passed out”, replied Rainbow Dash, while scratching her head with a hoof and looking to his right.
The friends looked with an unhappy look, “hey! It was the only thing I could think of!” exclaimed Rainbow Dash.
“Will she wake up?” asked Fluttershy, worried.
“Yes. We just have to wait”, answered Twilight Sparkle, now looking at Fluttershy. Fluttershy was relieved.
“Is she going to be too long to wake up?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“I think so, Rainbow”, replied Twilight Sparkle, now looking at Rainbow Dash.
“This will take too long! I need to train my maneuvers”, said Rainbow Dash.
“Rainbow, I understand you have tasks to do. We all have. But there’s a friend of us passed out. So I’d appreciate it if you were less selfish and thought more of others”, said Twilight Sparkle, not happy.
Rainbow Dash hated to admit she was wrong. Then, she was just silent.
When Pinkamena woke up, she saw that she was in a barn. And the barn was decorated. Like it’s somepony’s birthday. She wondered.
Weird. It’s not even my birthday today.
What Pinkamena didn’t know was that their friends were after her, “surprise!!” Pinkamena jumped in fright.
She realized it was her former friends, “ah. Are you…”
“Did you like it, Pinkie?” asked Twilight Sparkle animated.
“Like what?” asked Pinkamena.
“From the apology party we prepared for you”, answered Twilight Sparkle.
“Why did you have this party for me? It’s not even my birthday!” wxclaimed Pinkamena.
Twilight Sparkle approached Pinkamena, “Pinkie, we’re sorry we hurt you”
“Yeah, Pinkie. We were terrible friends”, said Fluttershy regretfully.
“If you guys had this party just to apologize, you know it’s no use”, said Pinkamena gruffly, her ears were down.
“But are you going to let Cheese Sandwich talk?” asked Fluttershy. Pinkamena’s ears brightened at the name.
Cheese Sandwich approached Pinkamena, “Pinkie, I’m so sorry I made your friends hurt you. I didn’t know it upset her”
Pinkamena looked at Cheese Sandwich, “Do you think I’ll forgive you easily? You stole my friends from me!”
“I didn’t steal them from you”, Pinkamena was surprised by what Cheese Sandwich said.
“...They were just helping me prepare Rainbow’s birthday party”, Cheese Sandwich finished.
“So why did they compliment you?!” exclaimed Pinkamena, now annoyed.
“Like I said before, they didn’t know they were hurting you”, said Cheese Sandwich.
Pinkamena seemed to believe his words. No! She already had her true friends! She no longer needed these ponies as friends, “no! I already have my friends. I don’t need you!” exclaimed Pinkamena.
“Pinkie. You can’t be friends with inanimate objects,” said Twilight Sparkle. “This is scientifically impossible”
“How is it not possible? Inanimate objects don’t talk, they don’t hurt others emotionally, we can talk to them and let off steam”, said Pinkamena.
“No, Pinkie. It’s not possible. Doing this will only make you feel more alone. What you need is somepony you can have as a friend. Somepony to talk to. Somepony like us”, said Twilight Sparkle with a smile.
“It won’t make me feel alone, no. They’re like my new friends now!” exclaimed Pinkamena.
“Pinkie, why don’t you try to have fun at this party? When the party is over, you could tell us what you think. If you didn’t like it, you could still be friends with your inanimate objects. And if you like it, you can continue to be our friend”, Twilight Sparkle knew that what she was doing could change the friendship of her friends. But she was sure Pinkamena would enjoy the party.
Pinkamena let out a sigh, “Alright ...”
Pinkamena’s ‘friends’ were smiling at each other now and hoping it would work. Applejack went to turn on the music. They started dancing. Well, except Pinkamena. Who kept watching. For a moment she wanted to dance along. But at the same time she didn’t want to, because it would betray the trust of her true friends. She couldn’t help noticing that they were having so much fun. She smiled a little.
I think dancing a little won’t make a difference.
Then Pinkamena started dancing. What she doesn’t realize The thing was, she was having so much fun. She was even smiling. Rainbow Dash took a piece of cake and ate it all. Pinkamena stopped dancing and walked over to the cake. She cut a slice of cake and ate it. She couldn’t deny that it was delicious. She then ate the rest of the piece of cake. Whoever made the cake was delicious. Suddenly your favorite song started playing. She went back to where her ‘friends’ were and went back to dancing. The ‘friends’ looked at Pinkamena dancing. They were smiling. They knew deep down that Pinkamena would be Pinkie Pie again and they and Pinkie Pie would be friends again.
Pinkamena became thirsty, went to where she had drunk and drank. From dancing so much at parties, sometimes it made me thirsty. She was drinking punch. She would really like Gummy to have her here. That way she and he could have fun at this party.
“Pinkie, is everything alright?”
Pinkamena looked at the owner of the voice and saw that it was Rainbow Dash, “ah. Hi, Dashie”
“Are you alright? You look sad”, asked Rainbow Dash.
“It’s just that I wish Gummy had me here. I’m sure he would love to be here with me”, replied Pinkamena sadly.
“I can bring him to you if you want”, said Rainbow Dash.
Pinkamena perked up, “Really?”
“Really, Pinkie”, replied Rainbow Dash with a smile.
“So bring him. Please”, asked Pinkamena.
Rainbow Dash nodded before leaving Sweet Apple Acres and heading toward Sugarcube Corner. When she got there, Rainbow Dash saw that Gummy was in the seat. She went to Gummy and picked him up with her hooves, “Come on, Gummy. Pinkie Pie wants to see you”
Meanwhile, in Applejack’s barn, Pinkamena was waiting for Rainbow Dash to return with Gummy.
Will it take too long?
“Pinkie, are you ok? Why aren’t you enjoying the party?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“I’m waiting for Rainbow Dash”, replied Pinkamena.
“Waiting for her why?” Wanted to know Twilight Sparkle.
“She told me she was going to bring Gummy. So I’m waiting for her to come back”, replied Pinkamena.
“Why don’t you do something until she returns?” asked Twilight Sparkle with a smile.
Pinkamena raised an eyebrow, “like what?”
“Dance, eat something, drink something…”
“No, thank you. I’d rather wait for Dashie”
“Okay, so ...” said Twilight Sparkle before returning to dance.
Suddenly Pinkamena heard the sound of flapping wings. She was happy to see Rainbow Dash holding Gummy, “Gummy! Glad you came! Dashie, where was he?”
Rainbow Dash, still smiling, replied, “He was sitting on a bench. To tell you the truth, I don’t think he even moved”
Pinkamena put Gummy on her back. Gummy cupped Pinkamena’s tail with his mouth, “I think now Gummy and I can enjoy the rest of the party”
When the party was over, everypony looked at Pinkamena, “So, Pinkie? Did you like the party?”
“Yes, Twilight. I couldn’t help but notice that if I didn’t have friends like you, I wouldn’t have a party as hectic and good as this one”, said Pinkamena. That said, her fur became light pink again and her mane became wavy again.
“Thanks for being my friends!” exclaimed Pinkie Pie, all excited. Before she hugged her true friends. Pinkie Pie’s friends smiled at that.

Pinkie Pie couldn’t believe what she saw. All the ponies, especially her friends and Dashie, were happy to have Cheese Sandwich around. Why? Did she mean nothing to them and their friends? The parties she gave to her friends wasn’t worth it? Tears started to come out of her eyes. She ran off. Pinkie Pie couldn’t take it anymore. When she arrived at the Sugarcube corner, Pinkie Pie went to her room and threw herself on the bed. Her mane was almost smooth, but not quite. And her fur was still light pink.
“Why do my friends prefer Cheese Sandwich over me? Did the parties I gave mean nothing? Why did this have to happen?” Pinkie Pie cried even more.
Meanwhile, Cheese Sandwich was organizing Rainbow Dash’s party. Rainbow Dash and the others couldn’t deny that it looked beautiful. It had balloons of various colors, a chocolate cake, candy, chips, and many other things it has on a birthday.
“This is awesome!!” exclaimed Rainbow Dash excitedly as she stared in wonder at the cheese sandwich decor beside her. She was flying.
Cheese Sandwich smiled, “Yes. I’m good at organizing parties”
Cheese Sandwich took five birthday hats and put them on the five mares that were with him. Twilight’s birthday hat was light blue and had white stars, Rarity’s was blue with white, orange and purple diamonds, Applejack’s was red with white apples, Fluttershy’s was green with light pink butterflies, and of Rainbow Dash had a rainbow. Although Rainbow Dash was happy that all her friends were here, she missed something, “Is it just me or am I missing something?”
Rainbow Dash’s friends looked around. Rarity went to Rainbow Dash, “Rainbow, there’s no one missing. Enjoy the party”, she said with a smile.
But Rainbow Dash seemed uncertain about that, “I don’t know. I feel that something isn’t here… ”
“But what couldn’t be missing, Rainbow? You have everything you ever wanted for your birthday: Cake, candy, your friends, games and decorations”, said Cheese Sandwich, now in doubt.
“You’re almost right, Cheese. But I still miss somepony”, said Rainbow Dash, now with a hoof on her chin.
Twilight Sparkle approached Rainbow Dash, “I can check the party list to see what’s missing at the party if you want”
Rainbow Dash looked at Twilight Sparkle, “No, Twilight. Everything that i have at a party is here”
Twilight Sparkle was confused, “so what’s missing? What are you talking about?”
Rainbow Dash decided to count as she pointed to each of her friends, “one, two, three, four…”
Rainbow Dash was confused, “four? Wasn’t it supposed to have more?”
The friends and Cheese Sandwich looked at the empty space between them before looking back at Rainbow Dash, “Where’s Pinkie? Why isn’t she here?”
“Go see, she’s at Sugarcube Corner”, answered Twilight Sparkle.
“But why would she go back to Sugarcube Corner? I don’t want her to miss my birthday party”, said Rainbow Dash, now sadly.
“Maybe, she had to make Cupcakes for your party, sugarcube”, said Applejack.
“But there is everything here for my party,” said Rainbow Dash. “I wonder why she’s not here”
Twilight Sparkle thought for a few seconds before saying, “Girls, let’s talk to Pinkie. Cheese Sandwich, you wait here”
“You don’t have to do this, Twilight”, said Rainbow Dash.
Twilight Sparkle looked at Rainbow Dash, “what?”
“I talk to Pinkie Pie. All of you wait here”, said Rainbow Dash before flying to Sugarcube Corner.
Meanwhile, at Sugarcube Corner, Pinkie Pie kept crying. Her mane was almost smooth, “Why don’t they like me anymore? Why do they prefer Cheese Sandwich over me?!”
Suddenly Pinkie Pie heard the sound of a knock. She got nervous. What if it’s one of her friends? She had to make an excuse for having her horsehair almost smooth. She went to the bathroom, got a little wet, grabbed a towel and put it on her back. Pinkie pie hoped it would work. She walked down the steps and went to the door. She tried to smile and opened the door. And saw that it was Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash had a worried look. But she was even more worried to see Pinkie Pie’s mane, “Pinkie? Are you alright? Your hair is almost smooth”
Pinkie Pie continued to smile, “yes. I am fine. My mane is like that because I got out of the shower”
Rainbow Dash was confused now, “but we don’t need to take a shower”
Pinkie Pie, still smiling said, “Well, a bath on a hot day is refreshing”
Rainbow Dash smiled, “you’re right”
Rainbow Dash then remembered why she was here, “Pinkie, why aren’t you there with me and our friends? Is something bothering you?”
“What? No, Dashie. It’s just that after I finish drying myself I’ll have to make cupcakes. I’ll have a busy day today”, replied Pinkie Pie, smiling.
Rainbow Dash said, “Oh,” I see. It will be a pity you can’t go. Your happy presence would be contagious”
“I know. And now if you’ll excuse me, I need to finish drying myself”, said Pinkie Pie as she closed the door. Rainbow Dash stared at the door for a few seconds before flying off.
Pinkie Pie opened the top door and watched Rainbow Dash fly away. She stopped smiling and started crying again. Why did their friends prefer Cheese Sandwich over her? That wasn’t fair…
When Rainbow Dash reached where their friends and Cheese Sandwich were, she landed, “I talked to Pinkie Pie”
Twilight Sparkle approached Rainbow Dash, “So? What she said?”
Rainbow Dash looked uncertain, “I was going to talk to her, but her mane caught my attention”
“Was her mane messy?” asked Rarity desperately.
“What? No, no”, replied Rainbow Dash.
“So what did her mane get your attention?” asked Rarity, now calmer.
“Her mane was almost smooth”, replied Rainbow Dash.
An absolute silence. Until…
“How was her mane almost smooth?” asked Rarity.
“She told me she was just out of the shower”, replied Rainbow Dash, now looking to the side.
“But we ponies don’t have to bathe.” said Rarity, confused.
“She told me it was hot. And she wanted to cool off. Because it’s so hot”, said Rainbow Dash, now looking at Rarity.
Rarity thought before answering, “Until it’s a good reason.”
“Rainbow, will Pinkie be at the party after she’s finished drying herself?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“No. She told me she would be busy making cupcakes”, replied Rainbow Dash.
Twilight Sparkle looked sad, “It’s a shame. I’d love for Pinkie Pie to come. If she went, the party would be even more lively”
“That’s what I thought”, said Rainbow Dash.
