Dear Princess Twilight,

It sure was a long day for all of us. And I know that you would like to hear about every single detail about what happened so I won’t hold back!

There were some quite interesting news about Flaming Star ponying up and him beating up some bullies. Everyone was talking about it today, as if they’d forgotten that we won against Crystal Perp just the day before!

But it was after school that we saw the storm building and felt the chill from miles away. The weather had been nice since that morning, then suddenly the freezing wind was dead cold. It was just at this time that Steely Armor came to us.

“Hey, that is not a normal storm!”

“Well, yeah, I can see that and we are just in the middle of fa-“ Rainbow Dash was answering but she got cut off buy Steely Armor.

“No, I mean it’s magical!” We were all shocked when he said that.

“But how can you say that?” Twilight asked, stepping forward.

“My ability, it lets me to see magical auras. And that storm has a lot of it!”

That’s when I tried asking for help from you by writing in the journal. But by the time you answered we were already packed up and ready to go. Steely Armor insisted on coming with us and Flaming Star decided to come along and watch over him but they couldn’t fly or run as fast as us or Rainbow Dash after we suited up. So they couldn’t keep up with our speed and they got left behind, which was what we intended since we were certain they couldn’t handle it.

The Storm was right on top of the Mall. But what was shocking wasn’t the storm, but the frozen people in the area. They hadn’t dressed for this kind of weather. Neither had we.

“W-what happened here?” Fluttershy asked, her voice shaky because of the freezing weather of the place. I decided to give her a heart-warming answer. “I don’t know, but we’ll find out and make it stop!”

“You b-b-better d-do it fa-fa-faster ‘cuz I’m freezing t-to death!” said Rainbow Dash as she was hugging herself hard, as if that would keep her warm.

“So what did Princess Twilight say?” Twilight asked me. She and the girls seemed kind of confused when I repeated what you said about the Widigos!

“Too bad none of us has any fire magic,” I said as I blew into my hands to try and warm them.

“And this is one time I wish my canons fired something other than confetti!”

I didn’t know what answer I could have given Pinkie Pie, so I stayed silent. It was then we saw her: a lonely girl in the middle of the Mall. She was walking slowly, and seemed to be cold.

“Hey!” I called out to her, “could you please tell us what exactly happened here?”

But as she turned around I saw that her face was faded, that it barely had any color. I called to her, “Are you all right?”

“StAY BacK!”

“What?”

“STAY BACK!” She shot some kind of a beam at me but I managed to dodge it. I guess fighting against Flaming Star has taught me something. But as the beam passed me, I heard a familiar voice saying “STEELY!!!”
